Spirit watched as Nooné agreed with her: "Well, y-yeah, I guess it is pretty relaxing actually."She nodded her head. She gazed in the distance, taking in the calmness of the beach. The waves receding from the shores, the endless stretch of strange particles, the rather peaceful silence. Everything about it was relaxing, as the he-wolf had mentioned. Then, Spirit decided to share her curiosity about the foreign particles. And Spirit was down before she knew it, rolling all about in them. She wasn't sure what made her done that in front of her new-found friend. All she knew that it was, indeed, fun. Spirit loved the way the orangish matter was rough to rub on. After having a whale of time, she invited Nooné to do the same, playfulness taking over her. She wasn't sure if Nooné trusted her. Whether he was willing to try. How he thought about her now. Spirit just wanted Nooné to have fun. A rather confused took over the brownish furred he-wolf. For a moment, Spirit thought Nooné thought that she was mocking him in derision, something she knew she would never do. Something she hoped she would never do. Nonetheless, Nooné seemed to push away all his doubts and down he went, rolling in the orangish matter. Wagging her tail as quickly as she could, Spirit watched him having fun, her heart blossoming with joy. After awhile, Nooné giggled softly, before standing up and exclaiming, "A blast indeed." Spirit didn't know if Nooné was teasing her, but he did seem to have fun just like she had.
"Hmmm... so what do you think this strange, orangish, foreign particles are?" Spirit questioned inquisitively, realising that she had not asked him for his opinion. "Or could it be a warmer type of snow?"Then, Spirit noticed the two silent she-wolves. She prompted them to introduce themselves and asked if everything was okay. Spirit noticed that after all the fun she had, she was stammering again. Perhaps it was because the other two she-wolves were still completely new to her, that she had only gotten to know Nooné. The duo had been tremendously silent since Spirit's first arrival. Was it her presence that had caused it all? "I'm, um, sorry," Spirit attempted to apologise, her eyes filled with guilt. "I didn't,um, didn't mean to scare you when I first came. Perhaps I, um, can help if something is wrong."

Spirit had a satisfied expression plastered on her face, she obviously wanted him to roll around too. Nooné wouldn't deny it, despite being pup-like and inmature, just rolling around was pretty fun for a change. "Hmmm... so what do you think this strange, orangish, foreign particles are? Or could it be a warmer type of snow?". A new type of snow, huh?. The option seemed pretty plausible. Maybe it depended on temperature? "I honestly don't know! But maybe you are right, guess it depends on the weather? White when it gets cold, orange when it gets hot...". He didn't exactly knew, but the option seemed legit. What was this stuff called though? He was about to ask the female, but being that she showed just about as much knowledge as he did in regard of the material, the male decided against it. Instead, he heard her the newcomer talking again. But her words were not directed at him, no. They were for the other two. "I'm, um, sorry,I didn't,um, didn't mean to scare you when I first came. Perhaps I, um, can help if something is wrong.". Yep, her stutters were back. The brute hadn't noticed, but the both of them had been talking without stuttering ever since they had played around. He felt accomplished, but it seems like Spirit is having trouble with it again. He turned back, to see what the shady lady, who had been chilling close, was doing. But, to his surprise, she wasn't even there anymore. Completely stranged, Nooné took a step back. How did she move without making a sound?. The brown wolf looked around, trying to see if he could at least catch a glimpse of her somewhere, even in that big corpse of water before them. But, to no avail, the shadow lady, as he had nicknamed her, was a goner. Not even footprints were left in her place. The brute turned around yet again, now to face Spirit, and ask her if she knew anything about the sudden dissapearance. "Hey spirit? Have you see-". He couldn't finish his sentence, as he saw Alexis, the overenergetic and cheerfur female from before, just walking out of there. The male felt that he needed to say something there, but just couldn't even find the right words, he just didn't know her enough apparently. Right then, the white wolf turned around, smiling softly and winking at him, only to continue walking down her own way. Nooné didn't know why, but he had the feeling he'd see her again someday, somehow. Slowly, the brown one asked the remaining white wolf on his side. "What did just happen?" SpiritSorry for the late reply, my dudette. Got a little distraced, is all.

"I honestly don't know! But maybe you are right, guess it depends on the weather? White when it gets cold, orange when it gets hot...", the brown he-wolf answered. Thoughtful, Spirit considered Nooné's theory, ears pricked with curiosity. It did seem legit. I guess it really depends on the temperature, the weather, the season, huh?Spirit nodded, agreeing with his explanation: "I think you're right Nooné. Kinda funny to think that there are different type of snow actually. I guess I'll call this orangish matter 'warm snow' from now on."The other two she-wolves were still tremendously quiet, even after Spirit had prompted them to introduce themselves. She even tried apologising to them for her sudden appearance, but still, there wasn't any response. As Spirit swivelled her head around, she realised why. Greeted by the same warm snow on the ground and the vast blue ocean, Spirit knew that something was very wrong about the whole scene. Where are the two she-wolves? Where are they? The two she-wolves had disappeared mysteriously. Alarmed, Spirit begin scanning the area in search for the both of them, only to see more warm snow, as she now called it.She even gazed long hard at the sea, just in case either or both of the two she-wolves were bobbing up and down in the waters. Yet, none of them were in sight. Confusion took over Spirit instantly. How was this possible? How could this happen? The two of them couldn't just had vanished into thin air. Perplexed and stunned, Spirit looked to Nooné to see how he was reacting to this whole turn of events. The he-wolf seemed equally as shocked as her. He took a step back, looking unsettled. Spirit was about to say something to him when his mouth opened first, "Hey Spirit, have you see-"He trailed off as he suddenly turned towards another direction, staring. Instinctively, Spirit swivelled her head. Pawprints. There were paw prints on the warm snow. Spirit looked ahead to see a white wolf just strolling away in the distance. It did not take long for her to realise that it was one of the two she-wolves that went missing. She was simply walking away from them. Spirit was shocked for the second time that day, completely speechless. She couldn't belief what was going on. Are my eyes playing tricks on me, Spirit thought silently, Why is she just walking away from us. And, so, casually? Like she is taking a stroll through the woods or something. What was even stranger was that Spirit could have sworn that the she-wolf smiled and winked at Nooné. While Spirit wanted to get answers, answers to whatever was going on, she fought the sudden urge to burst into a sprint and chase the she-wolf down. Currently, only Nooné and herself were left behind. The wolf on her side asked, "What did just happened?""I-I don't know,"Spirit stuttered, this time not from nervousness but from shock. "The whitish-furred she-wolf just, come again, just walked away. Just strolled away. Like she was taking a walk in the woods. And that shady lady is gone, her footprints aren't anywhere at all. and her scent..." Spirit bent down and sniffed the ground. There was a mix of wolves' scents but she couldn't recognise the shady she-wolf's. "I can't tell whether it is there or not...There are too many wolf scents around here, including ours'." Then, a terrible thought struck Spirit. What if... What if...Frightened, her whole body tensed up. Spirit widened her eyes in terror, and let out a low whisper to Nooné, "What if the shady wolf was kidnapped?"Spirit re-considered the thought again. It wasn't possible, was it? If she had been kidnapped, either of the duo would have noticed. Besides, there isn't a single footprint near where the she-wolf was at. "Oh wait, never mind." The idea, itself, was simply ridiculous. Spirit's body relaxed.

Spirit seemed be just about as shocked as he was, maybe even scared of the whole situation, strugging with her own words, she barely managed to mutter a "I-I don't know". Despite the fact that she seemed terrified, the female took the iniciative of starting to look around for the two strangers. The white wolf started to sniff the "warm snow" covered floor now, trying to catch their scent. "The whitish-furred she-wolf just, come again, just walked away. Just strolled away. Like she was taking a walk in the woods. And that shady lady is gone, her footprints aren't anywhere at all. and her scent..."[/font] Nooné was weirded out. Two wolves of their size and their age can't just dissapear. Not like that at least. Maybe it was some kind of invisible predator? Maybe something beneath the warm snow? Or maybe even the warm snow itself was attacking them?. Paranoid, the brown wolf looked at the ground, just prepared if something were to come from it, although shivering. He was too concentrated on that, so when the the female decided to speak up again, he wasn't ready. "I can't tell whether it is there or not...There are too many wolf scents around here, including ours.". The brute yelped, stepping back at the sudden sound. "S-sorry for that...W-Wait, other wolves?". How could have he not noticed this? The brown one felt a small, yet very present feeling of shame, being there for that long and not noticing that there were other wolves around the area. Maybe he was just too concentrated on this place and whatever it could be or just too focused on learning who the other strangers exactly were. "What if the shady wolf was kidnapped?", the sentences were heard, breaking the male's thought bubble. "What?! Kidnapped?!". That couldn't be. They would have noticed, right? If a pack had just come and take their companions they had to at least make a sound! Sides, Alexis did say goodbye, on her own way that is. This just wasn't plausible. Though, before he could simply object, Spirit did it herself. "Oh wait, never mind.". She probably agreed with the points the brown one had made on his head. Giving up on the dissapeared wolf thingie, Nooné sighed, trying to just, relax from all of this, he didn't need more anxiety than what he already had. He began to walk forward through the coastline, making a nod at the female to follow him. "So...uhm...". The brute managed to mutter those sounds, awkwardly trying to start a conversation. "Where do you come from?". The sentence accidentaly came out of his mouth. He didn't want to bother the female, and the male was afraid to make her feel uncomfortable with that question, not wanting to make her feel obligated to delve in her own past. "O-Of course, only if you really want to tell me..."
Ñe, tis fine. Didn't even notice it anyways xD Spirit

After the dismissing the frightening thought about the kidnap, her heart slowed down from hammering rapidly against her chest to a calm, and steady beat. Spirit had enough fear and shock for a day. The bizarre turn of events was enough of Spirit. Sighing, Spirit was about to ask: "What are we going to do now?" when the brown male left her side. He started walking forward along the beach, trodding into more warm snow. He nodded at Spirit to follow suit. Although baffled by Nooné's sudden movement, Spirit obeyed and picked up her pace to catch up with Nooné. She wasn't sure where they were heading to but she just followed, trusting the he-wolf even though she just met him. She already had enough of being surprised and puzzled about everything. So, she didn't really care about how odd Nooné acted, just walking forward. Perhaps, he himself was having nightmares of the whole scene and wanted to escape from it. Spirit couldn't blame him. She also wanted out from it. He can't be a kidnapper anyway, Spirit thought to herself. He is friendly. Nonetheless, Spirit asked him anyway: "Uhm, where are we going?" "So...uhm...Where do you come from?"Spirit was taken aback by Nooné's awkward question. Everything was getting stranger by the moment, and it seemed wrong. Maybe, he is a kidnapper. The Nooné-is-a-kidnapper theory seemed to fit more into the whole scene now. Spirit could picture a band of wolves waiting for Nooné to return with her. Perhaps, the pack of wolves had sent Noonè as an escort to bring her to them. What if they force her to join their pack against her will? Who knows? They could be a pack of wolves who just enjoys bullying others. Maybe they would steal hunts from other wolves. Maybe they kidnap as many wolves as they can just to form a band. Genuinely frightened again, Spirit could not help but tense her whole body up, legs trembling a little as she walked on. Her mind was in the-panic-mood. Here she was, walking with a wolf she just met. However, their conversation had already sparked Spirit's trust. Furthermore, Nooné played with her, rolling in the warm snow, even though it might seem silly to others. Stop it with all these stupid assumptions, Spirit thought. She knew that she could trust Noonè. Spirit made up her mind to answer him truthfully but she didn't let her defences down. Before she could answer, however, Nooné spoke first: "O-Of course, only if you really want to tell me..." The he-wolf was stuttering again. After all the fun they had been through, he went back to stammering again. Spirit could only deduce that he was nervous. Perhaps, he was afraid of how Spirit would react to the rather sensitive question. Yeah, this fits perfectly now, Spirit thought. The half-year old she-wolf was not going to be fooled. Then again, Spirit had considered Nooné as her friend. There was a possibility that he was just trying to start a conversation but did not know how to. Considering this, Spirit asked the question back to Nooné first: "Hmm...Why not you tell me where you come from?"Spirit hoped she didn't came across as uncomfortable and harsh. She was merely trying to make sure that Nooné is really friendly, and also truly curious about his past at the same time. Adrenaline was still pumping through Spirit. She wasn't going to let her guards down. If anything happens, she was ready to make a run for it. Nooné No,no,no. I actually meant god-modding Alexis and Demetria but never mind anyway. xD Spirit is overreacting again.

Nooné looked as her companion followed him around. It felt nice, someone to trust and have a laugh from time to time. Though, it felt so easy. What if she was hiding something? What if she was the sole reason for the shady lady to just vanish? As much as the brown wolf wanted to, he just couldn't get the thought out of his head. But, he kept going, doing his best at convincing himself that he was overthinking stuff, again, so he kept on walking. Right before his own question, the female had asked something : "Uhm, where are we going?", pretty important question, as he himself didn't even know. But out of nervousness, the male just asked his very own question. "So...uhm...Where do you come from?". Staring at her while walking forward, he noticed her shivering a bit, like she was anxious. Checking on her face though, some fear was obvious on the female's expression. Nooné didn't know what to do, did he make her feel uncomforable? Should he apologize? Should he wait for an answer, or should he answer her question first? Simple things, he knew, but his mind was but racing. The brute then clarified that she should give her the information, only if she really wanted to, just to make her feel more confortable, probably failing in doing so, as she responded with yet another question. "Hmm...Why not you tell me where you come from?"Yeah, no, she definitely doesn't trust me, at all. Sighing, and wanting to kill two birds with one stone, he responded to both of her questions. "I honestly don't know. I just like to, yknow, keep moving? S-staying put just makes me feel so vulnerable". He said, feeling proud to not actually stuttering through most of his own words. "S-Sides, with Alexis and the other one just leaving, well, maybe it wasn't safe?". The brown one tried to sound as convincing as he possibly could, but still having his doubts, not really knowing if the female would actually believe him or not. Maybe my stutters are getting in her way to actually trust me? But she has them too!
Breathing deeply, his plan was to focus. Focus on not stuttering, on saying a word like any other normal wolf would, maybe then, just maybe, Spirit would trust him. "Well, up until some months ago, I lived on a pack with my parents and my...siblings.". Frowning, trying to avoid memories from coming back to his head after a long period, Nooné continued. "I don't think it had an actual n-name, and I wouldn't be able to tell you where it is. Heck I don't even remember much aside from my family...".The brute looked at the she-wolf, expecting a reaction of whatever sort. "W-we had a small...". Right then, memories came flooding back in. Discussions with his parents, constant fighting between siblings, her sister's limp body on the floor, chunks of her throat on his shocked brother's jaws. Realizing he had been looking at her like a maniac without cause, he quickly finished, barely not triping on his own words. "...d-disagreement with one of m-my brothers. Had to leave".Turning his sight away from the female, fearing that he might have had enough of a view already, he asked for her own story. "Now, what about you?"

Soft waning scents pulsed on the ocean breeze; each carrying with it waning reminders of the inevitable, the company they seemed all too aware of and wanting to avoid. Well, he wouldn’t mind it, personally. After all, each scent carried with it something new, something unfamiliar, and yet always sensational. Each carried with it wonderful tales of travel; a subtle, underlying snippet of where they’d walked last, to speak nothing of the company they’d carried in it. Mothers’ scents were sweet, with milky wisps, whereas mates were always smothered in scents of the other, but his favorite was found in companions. There was all the autonomy of that of lone wolves, the same distinct sense of self-individuality, but now, accompanied by another profound, delicate presence. The stories of their companions, their oddities, their charms, were seamlessly woven into their own; revealing adventure’s romance without a word. There was a charm in the idea; two individual, separate identities perfectly intertwined within one wolf. Everything about it appeared enticing, a novel appeal he couldn’t help but desire to seek out someday. For instance, he could have considered the novelty of the pair currently playing together, both young, presumably yearlings. They must have met rather recently, as both coats bore no whiff of the others, and yet already, they were rolling within reddish sands before ever bothering to get to know the other. “Hey Knox,” He quipped; already, thin auburn ears perking eagerly. “Why don’t we play to-?”A small, mahogany she-wolf had silenced him, captivating his complete attention. Another hybrid, another peculiar animal that was somewhat, vaguely similar to himself and Knox, but in a foreign aspect. Knox had told him previously that the other half of his heritage was descended from a kind of water dog, a Lab-ra-deer, with large, webbed paws. He knew his other half from his mother, a breed called She-bas, with a wonderfully curled tail and fur as fiery as the sunset. However, despite their differences, Labradeer and Shebas were both, at heart, a similar animal. This was something he’d never seen before, a she-wolf no larger than an exceptionally large coyote; large round eyes framed by a short, fluffy snout. Whimsically, he wagged his tail upon her approach, bending into an innocuous bow, the playing kind. “Hello!” He sang, his voice holding the same lighthearted serenity he previously held with Knox. Fortunately, she didn’t seem frightened of him or Knox, which meant they could surpass the small-talk, the fetid, dull formalities other wolves insisted they govern their conversations by. “My name’s Astro,” he added. “My friend Knox and I were just talking about going for a walk in the tide to look at the stars. Would you like to join us?”Tagged: Astoria, @knox Mentioned: Nooné, Spirit

Kebechet sprints across the plains, feeling the cloying smoke scent leave her pelt with every bound towards the ocean. Pushing slender legs faster, she allows a salmon tongue to trail out of her mouth in a puppy-ish manner, heavy pants shuddering past her maw with ever exhale. Kebechet was a yearling for sure - energy abound and the attitude to match, her mannerisms alone gave away her age nine out of ten times. Yearlings were not typically observant. Muddy hazel eyes locked on the ocean, she disregards the part of her that screams that maybe she should be watching where she’s going. However, Chet was a hunter of snakes and disobeyer of rules in general, so she was well practiced in the art of ignoring logic. With prejudice. So, it is with a screaming yelp and much flailing of limbs that she crashes snout-first into a group of wolves - specifically one of the smaller ginger ones. When her abrupt and unwelcome tumble across the sand comes to a halt, the first thing she exclaims upon regaining her bearing is, “Y’all are popping up like daisies!” She had, after all, crashed nose first - and all these wolves before her had the same not-smell as Paris or Theodosia. They were something more. The next thing she says is, of course, hardly a sentence at all: instead the slim-boned babe releases a cry of horror upon seeing the curled tail upon the ginger wolf’s rump, eyes filling with remorse - and tears, they filled with those too. “Oh my stars,” she whispers before her voice grows to a panicked wail, “I broke your tail! I’m so sorry, oh shit, I am the worst healer but I swear I can fix this, just chill man,”
Her rambling cuts off as she reaches to gingerly grip his tail in her jaws before giving a few tentative pulls to straighten it out....but it just springs back into place! She had crippled this guy. With a sudden calm, she spits the fur out of her mouth and utters, “Dude, like, I know you probably had radical feelings about the state of your tail, but let me tell ya, it looks fine like this. Fine. So you and your buddies over yonder,” She jerks her head to where the other two not-wolves were chillin like villains, “can keep your teeth firmly in your mouth and away from my pelt, ya hear?”

"I honestly don't know. I just like to, yknow, keep moving? S-staying put just makes me feel so vulnerable. S-Sides, with Alexis and the other one just leaving, well, maybe it wasn't safe?". the he-wolf went back to stuttering again, apparently nervous himself. Nooné's response sounded logical to Spirit. Wild thoughts about gruesome warm snow monsters snatching away the shady lady bombarded her mind. Spirit was extremely terrified. She was certainly convinced by the male wolf, but she was still a little apprehensive. The stammers could mean that he was lying, or just making an excuse. "Well, up until some months ago, I lived on a pack with my parents and my...siblings. I don't think it had an actual n-name, and I wouldn't be able to tell you where it is. Heck I don't even remember much aside from my family...".he began. Then, Nooné gazed in her direction, with a look that seemed to search for any expression of Spirit's. Not knowing how to respond, Spirit gazed back blankly, this time with a little friendliness in her eyes. She wanted him to continue. He might be lying, from his stammering, but something told Spirit that he was telling the truth. "W-we had a small..." There, Nooné trailed off, looking really pained before he continued, "...d-disagreement with one of m-my brothers. Had to leave." The he-wolf turned himself away. Something was really troubling him, probably all the memories of his past. He seemed to be hiding something, but Spirit didn't dig any further. Spirit understood why Nooné was really bothered about something, for she herself was having the same problem. All doubts and suspicions about her friend were erased from her mind, leaving no trace behind. She was so deeply ashamed of herself for not trusting Nooné, and even think of him as such a mean figure - a kidnapper. She felt sorry for whatever happened to Nooné in his past. She knew that it had something to do with the whole "disagreement with one of my siblings". Before she could open her mouth to say something, he spoke first: ""Now, what about you?"The moment of truth. Still overwhelmed with shame, Spirit started off by guiltily apologising: "Nooné, I'm-I'm so sorry for not trusting you just now. It was, um, just, um..."The teen didn't know how to continue, so she dropped the topic. She hoped against hope that the he-wolf would forgive her for her doubts. She wished that her friend is not a mind-reader, or he would find out about what Spirit first labelled him as - the kidnapper. She now thought otherwise, that Nooné is really her friend, that he is friendly. Spirit now made up her mind to tell Nooné everything about her past, no matter how painful it was. She was afraid Nooné did not trust her now, and she desperately wanted to make up her for her mistakes. She had definitely over-thought about Nooné. Looking straight into the he-wolf's eyes, Spirit first began with: "I don't really know where I came from. I only know that it snows there, well, there isn't warm snow but just the cold snow I've always known. Its near here, I think, because I couldn't have wandered so far yet." She was careful not to stammer, for she knew that it would make Nooné doubt her. "I came from a tiny pack, just consisting my parents and my brothers. There's Dragondrop, Braveheart, Grey, Mummy and Daddy. I love them, I love them dearly." Mentally still a pup, Spirit addressed her parents the same way she had called them as a monthling. Saying the names of her siblings made her heart ache. She could only hope that they were still alive, breathing, that they had survived the tragedy just as she did. "Uhm, so it was the first time I participated in an actual hunt with my father and my older brothers. It was snowing then, snowing cold snow. My mother was taking care of my younger siblings back in the den. Then, a snow storm appeared out of nowhere. They were gone. One day they were there - Poof - the other they were all gone." Spirit tried to lighten the mood in her last sentence to conceal her own rising sadness but tit was futile. She loved her family. She missed them everyday. Her heart was aching terribly now, the depression she stored away surfacing again. It was like millions of deadly thorns from a plant, pricking her fragile heart. Unable to control herself, she unleashed her sadness into a sob. Tears appeared in her silver-glazed eyes, glistening. Stop it, Spirit thought to herself. Don't cry like a pup now. However, the weight of everything came crushing down on her again, and the tears splashed down in torrents. Moping, Spirit continued through the buckets of tears: "I-I was scared. I-I was lost. Their-their scent wasn't-wasn't anywhere. I didn't-didn't know how to *sniff* go back home. Then, a-a pack came. I-I mean another pack came. They-they *sniff* adopted me. I-I love them too. But-but I left, with their-their permission, because I-I miss my family. I want to go back to them. I want to find them..." Spirit couldn't continue because she was crying so much. She didn't know how her friend would react to this. And all this just happened, Spirit thought to herself upsetly. In just a few months. How could something so terrible happened so quickly? Nooné Whoo, 800+ words. Sorry, I'd probably introduce @astro , @knox , Astoria and @kebechet later because this post is too long. Spirit’s brothers are non-existent characters.

"Why am I constantly on a state of confusion?"
|
Post by Nooné on Jun 8, 2018 6:13:14 GMT -8
Nooné walked forwards, looking down, thinking, reflexing on his past, his decisions and their consecuences. He thought he had done the right thing by leaving, it wasn't safe and things were going downhill. Mom and Dad were getting old, his sister was buried 6 feet underground and his brothers were most likely going to meet the same fate, by each other's fangs. The brute couldn't stand it. He wasn't going to be there only for them to kill each other, he wanted no part of it. His brainstorm came to a stop however, when he could hear Spirit muttering somewhat of an apology, turning his head to face his companion. "Nooné, I'm-I'm so sorry for not trusting you just now. It was, um, just, um...". The brown one felt bad, he didn't want to be no downer, so his response was as light hearted as he could make it sound like. "I-It's okay Spirit! It's normal for you to have your doubts about me, w-we just met after all!".After a few seconds, Spirit began with her own story. : "I don't really know where I came from. I only know that it snows there, well, there isn't warm snow but just the cold snow I've always known. Its near here, I think, because I couldn't have wandered so far yet. "I came from a tiny pack, just consisting my parents and my brothers. There's Dragondrop, Braveheart, Grey, Mummy and Daddy. I love them, I love them dearly." Can a group so small be even considered a pack? The brown male found cute how the female called her parents "Mummy and Daddy", but her sibling's names were actually pretty cool. Made his look lame, even. "Uhm, so it was the first time I participated in an actual hunt with my father and my older brothers. It was snowing then, snowing cold snow. My mother was taking care of my younger siblings back in the den. Then, a snow storm appeared out of nowhere. They were gone. One day they were there - Poof - the other they were all gone." This time around, Nooné dared not to look back on the she-wolf. He just didn't know what he could respond to that, much less how she would react. So he went with the old reliable, the classic "I'm sorry", followed what he thought would end up in an awkward silence. But, no, not even close. The bitch began to sob, and the male noticed, almost instantly. Is she crying?. Her voice broken and tears forming, while others fell down her cheeks, as she rambled on. "I-I was scared. I want to find them..."No no no, please don't cry. Really feeling bad now for bringing up the subject, Nooné corrected his angle, so that he would be looking directly at her. Now he was the one overwhelmed by guilt. The brute forgot that not everyone reacts to reliving past memories in the same way. "P-Please, don't cry on me now. W-We can find them! W-We just have to look hard enough, r-right?". A smile formed on his face, as he began to feel tears forming up on his eyes. Seeing her like this just made the brown one sad. "Just, don't cry anymore. We'll find a way, I promise!".A scent ran down freely on their environment. Much like Spirit had said minutes ago, more wolves were around, and pretty damn close to their current location. More of us?. He was nervous, yet excited. Smell said two females and two males. Maybe a pair of couples enjoying the beach?. Nooné tried being positive, maybe company was not a bad thing. A bigger group meant more safety, right? But what if they were bad? What if they weren't friendly? What if they were on their way to purpously harm them both? The Iberian knew how to fight, but he was both small and pretty damn rusty right now. He didn't know about his younger companion, and didn't really want to ask. Last time he opened his mouth, the brute had made her cry. Let's just hope for the best

"I-It's okay Spirit! It's normal for you to have your doubts about me, w-we just met after all!"The alabaster she-wolf was forgiven by her new-found friend, for all her past suspicions and doubts about him. Spirit's heart was at ease now, that the brute didn't feel hurt that she initially didn't trust him. The half-year old vowed to never think of Nooné as a mean stranger again, instead as a friend, a true friend. She could tell that he was genuine. She could always trust him. Now, the she-wolf was spilling upset tears all over herself. Her life-story was just too unbearable for her to tell. The sadness and pain she had been concealing with her enthusiasm of a pup, was revealed again. She could not hold it back any longer. As memories of her family whirled around in her mind, it only spurred her to wail louder. Her ears were drooped, body was heavy, and her tail hung limply. She didn't bother to feel embarrass that she was weeping like a pup, right in front of the older he-wolf. She lowered he head and sobbed sorrowfully. "P-Please, don't cry on me now. W-We can find them! W-We just have to look hard enough, r-right?Just, don't cry anymore. We'll find a way, I promise!"from above her snout, she heard her friend stammering, sounding desperate to soothe her. The young teen wanted to believe in Nooné, that there is hope. Yet, she couldn't stop crying. Spirit wanted to continue unleashing her emotions into her cry, but she realised that it was affecting Nooné. She looked up to see a warm smile forming on her friend's face, and she caught something glistening in his eyes too. Is that tears? Is he...he crying for me? Stunned by how quickly her sadness was spreading to the he-wolf, Spirit willed herself to stop the continuous flow of her tears. With great effort, she managed to do so, now really bothered about what her crying had done to her friend. Her loud wail quickly reduced to sniffs. While she was overwhelmed by her past, she realised that she had stopped walking. She stood up, willing her legs into action again and quickly caught up with Nooné. Then, a whiff of wolves' scents entered her nostrils. How many wolves are there? Spirit couldn't tell. For all she knew, judging by how strong the mix of scents are, they were pretty nearby. They had company. As soon as Spirit picked the scent up, a few wolves did came into view. Four of them. Spirit halted and nodded at Nooné to do the same. Trying to brush off her sadness, Spirit decided to change the topic and whispered to her companion, "Uhm, Nooné. There's like a group of wolves down there. What do you think?" Then, Spirit listened in to their conversation, wiping her worries off her mind intentionally. “Dude, like, I know you probably had radical feelings about the state of your tail, but let me tell ya, it looks fine like this. Fine. So you and your buddies over yonder. Can keep your teeth firmly in your mouth and away from my pelt, ya hear?”Spirit had no idea what the wolf was speaking about. What tail?Nonetheless, she looked back to Nooné: "They look friendly, I suppose. Do you want to go and meet them? We could use some protection from a group. After what had happened to Alexis and the shady she-wolf, who knows, the two of us can be next." NoonéMentioned: Astoria @knox @astro @kebechet

"Why am I constantly on a state of confusion?"

Nooné realized he might have sounded just a tad too desperate on his last sentence, but it seemed to work. Spirit begun to calm herself down, her loud crying turning itself into soft sniffs and her last whines turning into silence. Walking again, he dared not say a word again, kind of afraid to put her on a bad mood again, awkwardly looking at the ground, sky or just appreciating the ocean at his side. But, after a while, it seemed that his companion had managed to calm herself down, and actually noticed the nearby scents. Walking around the place more, they finally had enough angle to see them. Exactly, four beings, two males and two females. Analyzing the newfound group better, the brute was astonished by their appearences. One of them, far taller than him, had a pretty reddish fur and a strangely shaped head. Another one, brown and even shorter than him, had a weirdly sized face, somewhat small features her eyes, snoot and mouth were. Turning at his side, he looked at the white female in disbelief, just at the right time she started speaking. "Uhm, Nooné. There's like a group of wolves down there. What do you think?". Yeah, she seems in a much better mood now. Great! Confident in talking again, the male turned back to the little group. "I don't know. You think we should go there?". He didn't mind their appearances, that was just a detail to look at. Thing was if they could actually trust them or not. The small group had the numbers on their side, and Nooné and his companion were just too small and not particularilly intimidating or strong wolves. Right then, one of the group talked. A small, yet still taller than him, reddish she-wolf, who appeared to be afraid of something. Or someone. She's probably not exactly a member of that group just yet. “Dude, like, I know you probably had radical feelings about the state of your tail, but let me tell ya, it looks fine like this. Fine. So you and your buddies over yonder. Can keep your teeth firmly in your mouth and away from my pelt, ya hear?”. His tail? What's wrong with his tail?Looking at the taller, reddish wolf he had analized before, he realized what the female was talking about. It was strangely short and curled, like it had been bended by something. So, the Iberian imagined what had gone down minutes prior. Did she just break his tail? How?. Eyes wide open and shocked at the thought, he scanned the group again, to see any trace of blood or just half a tail laying around the warm snow somewhere. But then, another scenario came to mind. Maybe she said something about his tail and he got pissed off?. Yeah, that seemed twenty times more plausible now. An idea crossed his mind. "See that girl? The one who just talked? Well, it seems to me that she's not a part of the group. Why don't we wait to see what they do first?". Quietly sharing his plan with the white one, the male waited for her response. "If they do anything mean to her, well, we'll figure something out, okay?" Spirit Mentioned: Astoria @knox @astro @kebechet

She was silent at first, perhaps a slight, tender smile molding her maw as she assembled her answer. There might have been a beaming, whimsical little wag of her own tail in return, a buoyant, playful bark, a bright, animated shimmer of sorrel. Or perhaps the small, pretty she-wolf would snarl at his audacity, ruffle her rowan fur, and send thick sands hurtling into his eyes with the cusp of an onyx claw. However, whatever her original response might have been, it lay in eternal disregard, forever deemed a mystery. Suddenly, a shrill yelp punctured the peace, a panicked alarm perforating the placidity of paradise. Before his ears could even complete a full swivel; white-tipped paws were swept from underneath him, sending him soaring forwards and perhaps dually prompting a bewildered, startled bark of his own. “Y’all are popping up like daisies!” A slender yearling she-wolf chimed, regarding the trio with gawking, wide-eyed wonder. Dazed, the ditsy male found his footing, preoccupied by the bizarre perplexities suddenly posed, such as where daisies were blooming in abundance this late in autumn, and, if asked, whether or not she could show him the way to them. However, before he opened his mouth to inquire, the she-wolf gasped suddenly, sable eyes welling up with tears as she regarded- something -in horror. “Oh my stars,” she whispered, taking one tentative step forwards to regard the damage she’d dealt, before giving a gaudy, bawling wail. “I broke your tail!” Panicked grey pools flew to the tail in question, irreversible damage inevitably beheld, only to be met by the same tight sorrel curl. It didn’t look broken. Confused, he carefully twitched it to be certain, before a bombarding assailment of apologies rang forth. “I’m so sorry, oh shit, I am the worst healer but I swear I can fix this,” She rambled senselessly, frantically seizing the sharp curl and frenziedly attempting to straighten it before it bounced into place. All of a sudden, the cause of her panicked haze and delirious absurdities dawned upon him; a lilted, gleeful laugh pouring through parted jaws as she attempted to soothe him about his altered tail’s state. “No, no, no, you’ve got it all wrong!” Astro chuckled, happily allowing the auburn curl to sway tenderly. “I’m not total wolf, see? Half she-ba.” He teased, playfully tapping his tail against a slim, tan shoulder. “All of our tails look like this. That’s where the fur comes from too – not common pelt colors, eh? Normally, hybrids are half hoosky or half shepherd, but other breeds exist too. Like my buddy Knox!” Tenderly, he tapped at his paws. “He’s half Labradeer, so water slides off of his fur. Pretty neat, huh? And he also has webbed paws, so he’s an ultra good swimmer! And she,” he motioned, smiling softly. “Well, Knox and I don’t know that much about her yet, except that she’s like us, so we know she has something special," he concluded with a wag. "No worries! No harm done. Thanks for the effort though! I appreciate it, though I don't think it'll ever straighten out completely.” He teased, unable to resist. “The name's Astro. What's yours?"Tagged: Astoria , @kebechet , @knox Lurking: Nooné , Spirit

She was nervous, to say the least. She wasn't sure what to expect from the two males that she had approached, but she tried to remain as calm as possible. If she showed any sign of fear, she would most definitely be lunged at, or taken advantage of. Although she could completely handle herself, her small stature would make it harder to fight a much larger wolf. As the male greeted her with a rather upbeat and happy demeanor, she was almost taken aback by it. She had never been greeted so warmly before by another wolf. He offered for her to come along with them, and she couldn't barely speak. She was startled to say the least. He was being friendly, and rather nice about everything. But it seemed that the small area had now become quite popular, as another wolf came barreling into the male named Astro. It seemed this one was an odd sort of wolf, as she spoke rapidly, and seemingly freaked out about his tail. Astoria had barely paid attention to the males tail, but it curled and was rather off-putting for another wolf who had never seen that.
As he replied back with a cheerful response to the wolf as well, Astoria kept herself rather still, knowing that she probably shouldn't interrupt. The three of them were all hybrids from what he was talking about. The "Sheba" and "Labradeer" he spoke of didn't sound familiar at all. She had been raised to know that she was the only monstrosity that walked the earth, and so meeting others that were like her - even if they were a little different - was something new, and a little relieving for her. She was glad that she had stumbled upon these wolves, especially considering if she hadn't she would most definitely be off somewhere getting chased off by pure-blooded wolves. "I-I'm Astoria," She piped up, looking towards the three. "I'm part Jackal," She said, to conclude what Astro was talking about. She didn't know if that would change their outlook on her, but hopefully since she was mixed just like them, they would not turn her away. Shifting her feet a little, the small hybrid looked towards the newcomer, wondering what she would have to say about the situation.

"Oh Knox, it’s- it’s perfect!” The words that seemed to so easily fly from Astro's lips had Knox wagging his tail joyfully, a little skip of a heartbeat and a silly grin had the male settling into the new surroundings. He was extremely happy his new friend was enjoying his surprise, even happier that he enjoyed the view at night. “Look at them!” Knox followed his head upward to the sky, where Astro was starring. The stars were always beautiful to Knox but he knew little about them. His mother always enjoyed starring at them though, he remembered that much from his pup-hood. “Lupus, Orion, Aquila – they’re all here! - And I, I get to tell you all about them.”
The softness of Astro's voice had Knox's typical beaming smile turn into a shyer one. Intimacy grew between the two and Knox easily sank into the comfort of a friend. "I cannot wait to hear them," he finally whispered, afraid to break the silence and comfort that surrounded the two hybrids. Astro was Knox's first friend and something about the male had Knox wanting to be himself, to the fullest extent. It was a pleasure to finally feel comfortable around someone.
The evening though did not last in solitude between the duo, as a quiet feminine voice had his ears swiveling before his head. The she-hybrid stood at exactly eye-level with the ebony male, and for once he was joyous to find another similar in size. A friendly wag of his tail would signal that she was ok to approach closer if she desired.
"My name’s Astro, My friend Knox and I were just talking about going for a walk in the tide to look at the stars. Would you like to join us?” Knox nodded in greeting as his name was mentioned, although he wasn't as captivated by the new female as his friend was. Something about the way he gazed at her though had him feeling the tiniest bit of jealousy, but was slowly swallowed up as a tiny creature burst into Astro.
The typically more social male fell silent with eyes wide as the youngling went into quick speech. "Y’all are popping up like daisies! - Oh my stars, - I broke your tail! I’m so sorry, oh shit, I am the worst healer but I swear I can fix this, just chill man, - Dude, like, I know you probably had radical feelings about the state of your tail, but let me tell ya, it looks fine like this. Fine. So you and your buddies over yonder, - can keep your teeth firmly in your mouth and away from my pelt, ya hear?”
Knox found her hilarious and in attempt to keep from laughing at the situation and his friend, he bit his tongue. When she was finished, he playfully bowed her way, even though she would stand taller than him, and spoke in mock jest, "How dare you break his tail? In payment of hurting our dear friend, you must tell us a grand story."
Knox rolled his head to the side as Astro continued to speak, taking the role as leader of the growing group. He was fine with that, he did not care for leadership. He only wanted to enjoy himself and find a place to settle down, eventually. He listened to the introductions and let a salmon tongue swipe across his nose before speaking his name, "Knox is my name, and a pleasure to meet you both," dipping his head towards the two females, he moved to sit on his rump.
"Perhaps, instead of a walk in the tide, we could do story-time?" Knox commented, looking to each individual with a playful smirk on his lips.
