"Alright, all. Those who wish to try their luck in joining our ranks, please follow me." A male wolf commented, he must be the scout. "Your invitation still stands, Taliaia. Though I'd be careful with that temper." Tempest looked at the wolf the scout was addressing, she had grey fur and didn't seem too old, as the black she-wolf though, it started to drop from the sky. She looks up and a few drops of water fell onto her black fur, making it somewhat shine, "Joy, I believe it's time to go," The scout spoke softly before a raindrop fell onto his nose. " It's starting to rain and I think we've got a good few for Rowan to pick from."Tempest, felt the slightest bit proud, she got invited to a pack, hopefully, she will be useful and won't be kicked out again. Although she tried to seem happy about it, she was just waiting for someone to stuff up and the group of wolves won't be welcome to Sorelus anymore. She decided to show at least some form of kindness and blankly said "Thanks for the invitation" Before swiftly he turning towards the group who were slowly starting to walk to the pack grounds and followed them, shaking her already wet fur from the rain and mud.

"Alright, all. Those who wish to try their luck in joining our ranks, please follow me." Breezy slowly lifted her head at the words, she did not know why but she was tired. Fear prickled deep down inside her, there were so many wolves trying to get in, would she get in? What if Katsumi made it and she didn't, or the opposite. Her claws dug up the earth under her, she shook as if to rid the thought. She padded along with Katsumi, scared, but when she looked at Katsumi and how calm he looked it happened to have an effect on her too. The mud underneath her felt nice on her paw pads, everything looked so pretty. Breezy had to admit this was her favorite time of year, she breathed in deeply, finally at peace. Breezy eyed Katsumi's wound, did it still hurt him? Breezy's ached a little, but if she wasn't thinking about it she really didn't feel it. Breezy was lucky, she didn't get wounded as bad as Katsumi, and she hated that. She had been trying to protect them and ended up being the one to be protected. Breezy wanted to be the one saving people, instead it seemed like she was the one needing saving. Breezy still liked Katsumi, and she fought with that feeling constantly. Katsumi obviously showed no interest in her, it was time to get a grip and like someone else. Exit to Sorelus common grounds Katsumi @atlas Scout Azrath

When life gives you lemons.. You need to freeze them and throw them back as hard as possible.

A small shiver ran through the grey body, as drops of rain fell from the sky and clung to the fae’s pelt. It was no use to hold a grudge at this point and to continue to lash out would not end well for herself or others. Tired features glanced towards the two groups direction as the black and white scout would finally announce their groups leave, sounding off a cheer of victory in her head. Though, the moment ended quickly as she bit her tongue and squeezed her eyes shut in order to refrain from the chaos she wanted to release as the brute proceeded to both invite and poke a joking jab in her direction, only opening her eyes once she felt his presence was further away from them. I’ll watch my temper alright.. With that thought in mind she would tense her muscles into a short lived stretch, and watch as the others turned to leave, sending a last glare in the opposite groups direction before standing and turning to follow in pursuit. Her paw-steps now almost as lazy as the sway of her tail flagging behind her. || exit to: sorelus common grounds ||Tags: Scout Azrath @atlas Katsumi Breezy Tempest

Sepia hues forged mountains of woe, ageless against the uncharted lands. The brute's dome dipped low beneath shoulder blades which carried the heaviest of burdens. Trekking through foreign lands leads the aging titan upon the final chapter within his life-- or, perhaps, the beginning of a new era. Once the peaks of the taiga morphed into grasslands && woodlands, the sensation of the sun incubated his ebon fur. Truth be told, the five-year-old virile hadn't the slightest of clues where his aching paws were alluring him. The echos of lost souls && demons that haunted him resided within the mountain he abandoned. Their clamors haunted Jesear, && caused doubts to arise within his tattered psyche. Even so, his journey enacts him within nameless territory. With small-scaled knowledge upon the area that now engulfed him, Jesear kept padding forwards. Faint, strong && stale scents of several diverse wolves overwhelmed his muzzle.
The groundwater the masculine had allowed as an escort was a white noise against his harks. The Valley wolf allowed his pace to quicken as droplets of precipitation beaded upon the fibers of his coat. That equivalent pace merely allowed for the fact the older wolf could sense the presence of extravagant amounts of wolves. Marked borders, strong sense of polar opposite smells. Jesear was no fool-- he had been playing his game for far too long. Perchance his discission was faulty. A rush of anxiety overcame his barreled chest, and yet, he pressed on. Rain sloshed about him, && Jes figured shelter would be probable quite shortly. The upside to this deluge was the fact his scent would be far more difficult to track, therefore making his discovery less likely. That fact remained quite pleasing to him. His attempt to enroll himself into society once more was becoming increasingly known to him as a mistake.
Jesear could not spend another day in that carnival of souls.
Lifting his muzzle to the dusky skies, he pondered if the heavens were done attempting to break him down. Were the previous afflictions enough to satisfy their hunger for his torment? What if it would never cease? Shaking the droplets from the sleek charcoal coat he possessed, Jesear clenched his denta together. Storm clouds set within his hues, counting the sands of time; he had to move on. Two long years had passed, && still he lingered on. It seemed like yesterday, && now it had begun to wash away. Formidable steps burrowed into the mire, the novel aroma beckoning his sense of smell further. Pine trees loomed overhead. Calculating the amount of time since he abandoned his former home, Jesear could safely say he was pacing himself well. This new domain was eerie, full of slushy muck && rich in small game... but that unmistakable scent of black bear reached his muzzle as well. However, Jesear found himself underwhelmed-- he had defended against a bear before, though it was not an easy task. Disregarding it to the back of his mind, the titan dipped his crown low && began sniffing about.
Fallen logs... Some were exuberant enough inside, not to mention hollowed, there was just enough of a smidge of space for his immense frame. As the downpour escaladed, the torrent was the least of his worries as he settled himself down upon the deadwood beneath. Unmistakenly moist, yet not entirely soaking wet, Jesear settled his clouded dome upon crossed paws. As the storm progressed, the male did not dream of moving any time soon. Perhaps... a little snooze was in order. Jesear was far too exhausted to care.

Rosebud's paws pushed off the ground as she relished in the cool mud squelching under her pads and the wind rushing through her wet fur. The rain had soaked her thoroughly, but she was unbothered. She was rested and full, so the slightly cold weather felt like a crisp, refreshing experience. The damp air was sharp with the scent of pine and wet wood, and she savored the aroma as it mingled with her floral perfume. She weaved through the trees, bounding through the forest and laughing gleefully as she was splattered with mud. A run like this brought back memories of her father, causing a feeling of joy to bubble to the surface and burst out through her vocal chords. The exercise was releasing endorphins, and she felt exuberant and free as she her mud-stained pelt became a milky streak among the tall trees. The scent of others wafted to her nose, and she slowed to a prance. Her ears were perked and her tail tall, her body language expressing her contentedness and confidence. She could tell with just a sniff that while all the scents were recent, only one had its owner present. Her pace slowed as the odor grew closer, and a hulking black frame revealed itself as she progressed further. She padded up to the sleeping form, her creamy fur juxtaposed with his ebony pelt as it brushed against his head. She became aware of his sleeping place, noticing how his body was encased in the soggy wood. "What an interesting den," she murmured aloud. She decided to deem him interesting, and concluded that he might be an fun wolf to serve. She padded over to a tree not far by and nestled her body in a crevice formed by the roots. She closed her eyes for a moment, enjoying the steady rhythm of the rain drumming against the tree. The occasional leak made its way through the thick branches to contribute to her soaking pelt, but she barely minded. Curling her tail around her, Rosebud rested her head on her paws, her jeweled eyes trained on the obsidian stranger so she could judge what kind of wolf he was.

Post by Kidah on Oct 18, 2019 23:34:20 GMT -8
With amusement, the young adult watched as more and more wolves emerged from wherever they came from. By every minute, the gathering seemed to grow larger. "So, Sorelus is recruiting? I might be tempted to join you all as well, if you don't mind, that is." A darker-coated she-wolf piped up as she approached them. Kidah flicked her ears. So. Sorelus. That's the pack's name."Alright, all. Those who wish to try their luck in joining our ranks, please follow me. Your invitation still stands, Taliaia. Though I'd be careful with that temper." As soon as the pack wolf's last few humorous words floated by, a soft chuckle found its way out of Kidah's maw. Upon the Sorelus brute's invitation, the petite lady blinked her honey eyes in disbelief, a jubilant smile stretching across her snout. She was given a second chance to find a loving family, and if so, her brothers too were given an opportunity. Wagging her tail excitedly, Kidah shot one glance back in the direction she came from. Aven. Dogma. I promise I'll come back for the both of you soon. Watching the pack wolves lead the way, the she-wolf trailed behind, literally bouncing with excitement. Although it was not guaranteed that Kidah would come back with a rank among Sorelus, she knew that this would make an adventure she could use to impress her siblings. But, of course, she had high hopes about joining the pack, and she was more than ready to do whatever it takes to prove herself worthy. Exit: Sorelus Common Grounds

An expired alpha was not so nimbly wondered upon. Approaching steps were oh so easily detected— Jesear perked his harks to zero-in on the presumptuous fae that boldly exerted a retort. He heard her a mile away. It had been far too long since the brute had involved himself socially. The overwhelming realization that he we the reason his mate && pups perished, along with some of his pack’s innocent lives, it was nearly too much. And for that, he had isolated himself from everything. The mysterious female remained close, && as she disappeared out of view, Jet’s orbs glowed within the abyss he borrowed in. A few moments passed whilst the brute merely waited. Unmoving. Playing possum.
“ What do you desire from me, fae? " The guttural, baritone voice was intense from his statue-like frame,
“ I am in no mood for games. State your business. " Jesear did not speak as if he was superior compared to Rosebud, but the confidence went hand in hand with the authoritative aura his voice held. For years it had embedded itself into his demeanor. It was obvious, though hardly attempted to be suppressed, that the massive canis lupus was formerly an Alpha male. A robust one at that. Muscles seized as the older wolf contemplated upon rising to his towering height, rather than remaining in the husk of earth's foliage. Wait. Now is not the time for a proper introduction, however, Jesear found bile rising in his throat. Interaction. The thought of being manipulated, hurt once more? Used. Curling his lip over his razor fangs, the male lowered his lip once more.
Jesear waited.

Rosebud's tail twitched as she waited for the brute to make a move. "What do you desire from me, fae?" Her silken ears perked, taking in his rich tone. "I am in no mood for games. State your business." A grin formed on her muzzle. He had the authority of a great leader, and she could imagine how pleasant it would be to earn his praise. She waited for a moment before responding, and a scent of fear struck her nostrils. Her mouth twisted into a frown as she began to doubt his competence. She didn't want to serve someone who was so weak that they couldn't take control of their emotions. Still, she wouldn't disregard him quite yet; judging simply from his powerful aura, she was sure that he would prove to be an interesting individual despite his instability. Rosebud waited a beat before opening her maw, a smile playing in her words. "I want to know your desires," she said. Her voice was sweet but confident, carrying tones of excited apprehension and unshaken comfort. "I want to know what feelings of vengeance or anger are burdening your shoulders." She paused for a moment, thinking over the unease she sensed. "I mean no harm," she assured him. No harm, unless he was up for a death fight. But she could tell that he was smarter than that. From the shreds of information that fear and authority could offer her, Rosebud could ascertain that his past must haunt him. Even if he held no grudges, he would most likely be worth staying with until she found a wolf that would allow her to have some fun. She would wait for his answer, to see if he would reject her or decide that she was worth his time.

An abrupt aura of discommended emotions ravenged his gut. The moment he immersed himself back into the confines of society, he congregates with a fae that he cannot read. A laryngeal grunt oscillated throughout his chest as her words came to an end, well inside of his bust. Tawny hues gazed afar, evaluating his surroundings-- nostrils quivering in attempts to disclose any future && failed ambushes. Once it was determined she was solo, Jesear pivoted his harks against his dome before forcing his muscles to move. It was extraordinary how the massive Valley wolf's coat lacked ivory or an ashy tinge to it-- more specifically, the robust male possessed a melanistic pigment. Sleek, velvet-like fur brushed against the decaying bark, clinging to the follicles. Knowing this, Jesear shook his dense coat, allowing the fragments to depart. The mud sunk into his pads, && the brute stepped forwards, his paw overlaying her tracks like it was a pup's. Dipping his dome, Jet's unwavering orbs struck the fae's, sepia against roseate. ❝ What I desire is rest, however, it seems I shall not receive such luxuries. ❞ Oh, how old he indeed sounded-- the male was far from expired, regardless, his bones were exhausted from travel, ❝ I hardly know you, fae. ❞ Jesear straightened his neck muscles, && she appeared diminutive below his paws. He knew she was a decent size. Be that as it may, Jesear has yet to acknowledge another that was worth comparing to. ❝ Perhaps we should begin with names? Otherwise, I cannot foresee this going anywhere. ❞ Jesear's tail swished silently behind him, slightly raised, not aggressively, perhaps showing signs he was sure of himself. At this moment, the colossal male was at his profuse height, neck && spine straight.

After thanking the veteran male for his kind words, Azrath left alongside the other rogues before things could escalate anymore. Everything was so calm again, so less crowded in so little time. Mace breathed peacefully, sighing of relief, knowing fully that they had just avoided a fight against unequal odds. He was not necesarilly worried about that white scout lunging over them, nor about their advantage in numbers. No, what the purple eyed wolf feared the most during the whole ordeal was the idea of Kylo going off on one of them. His sheer size and skill would make a quick death of his first target, and everything would just go down from there. " Glad that's over with," said the black male, annoyed by what had just happened. Mace turned around, softly chuckling at the wolf's commentary. Someone so big yet so irritable, that concept was kind of amusing if the timber had to be honest. On his mind, only one thought crossed his mind, a singular, simple doubt. "What do we do now?"

Watching the group dissipate before him was a welcome sight to see for the red and white eyed male. He did not enjoy the company of strangers nor the many attitudes they brought with them. He was glad for the large white scout who talked sense to that rogue female who dare disrespect him though she didnt know him nor had they ever met. He was also grateful for Mace's usual wise words, ones that were often accompanied by colorful vocabulary said out of emphasis, at least he knew what he was talking about. Kylo's large black cranium moved so he could place his oculars on the timber wolf who's brow seemed permanently stitched into a brooding expression. He wondered what his fellow male had experienced to wear this kind of expression permanently. At his question Kylo moved his gaze to Rey, the beautiful white lupine who had made him question every part of his world and the one those who trained him had crafted around him. what did she want to do. did she want to be rid of him? would he have to continue this journey alone? His head tilted some as his heart felt like it was constricted of the oxygen rich blood which kept him alive, he was scared, scared of loosing her, scared of loosing the only person who had seen more in him than a pawn to control, scared of being alone again. The black male put on a brave face, not letting his emotions show on the outside, he couldn't appear weak, that was something to be ashamed of, he couldn't be weak in front of her. He awaited her response on baited breath, trying not to become overwhelmed by the twisting he felt within him, trying not to become overwhelmed by the thought of loosing her again.

Aurora grinned up at the he-wolf and then lowered her head respectfully. "You are kind Sir" She shook her pelt lightly attempting not to sling mud all over her newly found companions and looked around in wonder. Would she finally find a home? She wagged her tail a little bit at the thought. And trotted to keep up with the bigger wolves. ' Maybe they can teach me plant stuff? And better hunting tips so I am not face planting everytime I catch prey...' Giddy with excitement to prove herself she spun in a quick happy circle and kept up a strong pace so she didnt slow the others down. Scout Azrath-Exit to Sorelus Common Grounds-

Velvety ears perked up upon hearing a discontented grunt. Rosebud frowned, her brows knitting together. Had she upset him? Well, she had interrupted his nap; still, he was the one who had initiated the conversation. She waited patiently as the obsidian stranger rose from den, revealing his sleek jet coat. Her jeweled eyes watched carefully as he shook himself, ridding his fur of debris. She sat unmoving as he lumbered toward her, only a smile painting her otherwise still features. She was well aware of how he towered over her small frame, but made no move to make herself appear larger. When his umber hues met her twinkling orbs, she didn’t look away. It was not a challenging action, only one that was meant to express her ease and her thoughts that neither was superior to the other. Not yet, at least. “What I desire is rest; however, it seems I shall not receive such luxuries.” His deep voice sounded tired, backing up his words. “I hardly know you, fae. Perhaps we should begin with names? Otherwise, I cannot foresee this going anywhere.”Rosebud’s features formed into a frown once again, but this time in a playful manner. “Aw, come on,” she teased. “You’re no fun! Don’t you wanna have an adventure?” She sprung to her paws and pranced around him, her eyes sparkling. She was so bored that even such a dull wolf as he might provide some fun. “Otherwise,” she continued, “a little spar might just have to do to cure my boredom.” Her voice remained light and teasing, but her intentions were true. She was aching to spill blood, even if she had to sacrifice some of her own. After completing a full circle, she stood before him, her crown just barely below his. She looked him up and down, noticing the toned muscles beneath his black fur. With his impressive build and intimidating aura in consideration, she realized that a battle against him might end in her death. “You don’t seem like someone I’d want to fight, though,” she added, her tone serious for a moment before brightening back to its usual cheeriness. “That’s why I was hoping you’d have a fun adventure for me!” she announced with a grin. She was craving a thrill, and was impatient to get to it. Still, it was best to keep to formalities. “But you’re right. Names would be a good start if we want to get to know each other better. I’m Rosebud!” She wagged her tail and licked his ear in greeting, unaware of how the action might cause unease or hostility.

Perhaps he was unjustifiably paranoid. Overthinking. This fae's character, too hasty to judge. Jesear had never greeted a wolf who immediately attempted to initiate a spar; this was something he had never experienced before. The unamused, guarded frown that grafted into his features remained unsuppressed. While his dome remained forwards as she paced about him, sizing him up. Citrus orbs trained upon her, unwavering. Jesear, too, began to size her up-- her petite frame fit that of a scout or an assassin. While most would write her off as an amicable, naive soul, the empathetic wolf was not satisfied with that judgment. Only a solo ridge lifted over his sunsetting orbs, the brute remained unmoving. His hark flicked && swiveled backward once her tongue met the surface of his fur. A submissive wolf would have sunk below his chin && licked beneath his jowl. Rosebud, however, showed him no respect. Jet was a rogue, just as she was, therefore the male dismissed her taunt. He as no Alpha. Not anymore.
❝ I am Jesear. ❞ Came his blunt reply, dome dipping in respect for her, even though she offered none in return, ❝ I do not find pleasure in sparring, for I am no longer a naive pup. If I were to spar, it would be with the intention to terminate my adversary, or in rare instances, train a young apprentice. ❞ As the brute's rhetoric cut off, Jesear's orbs lingered a moment longer before the impatient masculine tilted his dome upwards to stare from an elevated position.
❝ Now, Rosebud, are you familiar with these grounds? What is your affiliation? ❞ Jesear attempted to ignore the looming hunger && thirst beginning to plague him in unison. A hunt would definitely come into fruition soon enough.

The expanse of the grassy floor and the burst of chirping invaded Narsis' senses, but they were quickly overtaken by the vividly atrocious sound of a voice pitched to the likeness of a hyena. The sensation was like claws on stone, and he began to feel particularly homicidal. But Narsis was no murderer. He didn't take pleasure in violence, in fact, he hardly took pleasure in following orders, and was rarely the culprit behind any condemnable act, preferring to sit on the sidelines and laugh about it while attempting to persuade the ladies of his barbaric prowess. Thick pads pulled him over a hill of cold stone. He observed the duo with the gaze of a stranger, that aloof judgement with no strings. From afar he made small opinions of them, more than he already had based on their scents. There was nothing sinister about it; wolves were hunters, primal creatures, and it was instinct to make observations, these casual assessments. And from what he gathered, he suspected they was harmless. The bitch and her childish pleasantries set Narsis' hackles arise with her voice alone, but the serene dissonance of the other being was something Narsis could admire. His clay-colored features would have been easily spotted by now, if the duo was alert enough to notice. He had no intent of making introductions, but he also felt no need to alter his predetermined path for the sake of convenience. Shrunken like a shadow as he hunched in his gait, the teen heedlessly took his unimpressive form through the edge of the pines and passed the strangers. He intended not to be picked from the brushes, but he was interested in the girl's response. He was a stranger in these lands and had no sense of direction. He could use the information that the older brute had requested of her. If they were friendly, however, they'd stop him to make acquaintance. So they'd better hoped they were just as friendly as he was. OOC: Narsis is an ass but he needs some friends to make him less of an ass :3 Feel free to interact. It is, however, inconveniently out of his character to initiate. Jesear Rosebud
