Boring into the side of the mountain, a large chasm connects the two evil packs. The small opening in each side of the mountain hides a large sprawling cavern peppered with stalactites. The cave floor is relatively smooth and covered in a small layer of dust. This passage is readily accessible to both packs, and is used most often for training and the formation of battle strategies. Light filters in from small slivers in the roof that have eroded over hundreds of thousands of years. There are still some parts of the cave that are pitch black, no light reaching them. There are perilous and pups are often steered away from them. Their use as prison cells is ample. Prey scarcely ventures into the cave, so finding any within it would be almost a miracle. The Caves are no place to hunt.

PUP SAURON OF MORTIUL
Sauron entered the dark cave and made himself home between two stalagmites, his darker frame blending in with the shadows. Eventually he heard pitter patter of paw steps, eyes peering out to see his brother's silhouette. His brother had called out to him prior but he walked away. He knew that eventually Adramalech and his father would call them.
"Tell me brother," he called from his hiding spot, his voice echoing through the cave. "What should we do if we know we're marching towards death's doorstep? We've seen how they treat those that have no place... we have no place." He simply felt at a loss, at only six months old and already given up on. Laying his head down, if his brother wished to kill him now he would not fight. If he wished for him to follow, he comply and leave the caves. Spirit defeated before it even had a chance to grow.

-Timeskip to Night- She wasn't about to tell anyone, but on her way to the caves she had gotten lost. Hopelessly. Her coat had gotten covered with snow, twigs, and dirt over hours of tracking up and down the mountain without her brother. Eventually, she had just ended up where she started and had to be dragged into the caves with the entourage of her idiot, hideous father. She wasn't happy, to say the least. It was dark, it was damp, it was all kinds of hell, and now she was expected to fight or something? There was no way in hell she was about to do something as gross as spar, especially not with the filthy, weird, worshipping children of Ignasia. A paw from somewhere shoved her forwards and closer to one of them, into an area she presumed they were keeping clear for the three spars. Squinting both with an unimpressed frown and because it was getting frickin' dark, Persephone waited for someone to tell her just what the hell was going on. From what he could gather, Persephone and Sauron had taken the lead, already well-accustomed to these tunnels. His daughter had lasted a grand total of ten seconds before assuming her scrunched, tell-tale scowl of displeasure. “Oh dear,” Beelzebub hissed, barely masking tepid disdain. “Pray tell the battle arenas aren’t quite to your liking? I’ll have the help get on it on once. Ronin!” He barked, stiffening his stance to assume a position of mock-authority. “You must dust the premises this instant, and if I spot so much as one stray hair, I’ll rip off your hide and wear it. Don’t you know royalty commands it?” If poor Ronin even so much as faltered to wonder if Beel was serious or not, he’d take the opportunity to lunge at him, silver fangs snapping. “On with it!” Once he’d chased his slave off, he’d turn sweetly to his daughter, his lips curled in a sinister, yellow-toothed smile. “That more to your liking, hmm?” He softly hissed between tightly bared teeth, his tail lashing in obvious irritation. “I’d hate for you to be distracted by a bit of clutter in the corner. I know I haven’t told you why exactly you’re here, but I’d hoped — god, what a sap I was — that you could somehow figure it out. I should know much better by now, right Perci?” Reckless laughter rumbled in his chest, threatening to spill from his firmly clenched maw. No, no, no, he knew quite well to save his full, hapless expression of joy for when first blood fell. “You and your brothers — Sauron, Tern, I’d take a long hard listen if I were you — haven’t earned your right to be called members of Mortiul. You haven’t earned your right to simply live among us. You haven’t earned your right to life, period. So tonight,” he quipped, with notable detached nonchalance. “You fight for it. Quite simple, really. Every wolf must eventually. Some much sooner than others,” he giggled. “No hard feelings, of course. May the best wolf among us win.” Tagged: Alpha Adramalech @sauron @tern @persephone @ronin

Ignasia’s allies hadn’t assembled yet, with only Beelzebub’s offspring loitering around the tunnels with their father. Koga wasn’t too concerned on the matter. Adramalach and his kin would soon arrive on their own terms, as always. In the meantime, he took a moment to meander over the battle arena. Pitch spikes protruded from the cave’s ceiling, with thick waxen ones arising from the floor. The space, for the most part, was entirely clear, but with the spikes — there lay opportunity. “Children,” he stated simply, lowering oaken haunches onto the ground. “Look around you. Anything and everything can be used in a battle. With the proper use, your environment can be as efficient as skill. Remember that. A final word of advice,” he winked, rising to greet their now emerging allies. “Adramalech,” he greeted with a brief, curt bow. “A pleasure as always. Your sons are looking marvelous as well. Would this be their first meat?” He asked, cocking his head curiously. “Before we begin, do declare tonight’s rules. This is your tournament after all. What are you thinking? A one-on-one spar? Free for all brawl?” He suggested. “We’ve many possibilities, I’m sure you’re aware. Tell us what you’re thinking of.” He gave a low, gentle laugh, allowing his tail reign to bat freely. “My children, mate, and I will be more than happy to comply." Alpha Adramalech of Mortiul | The trek there was rather short, and he was ready to see what was to come for the pups that had proven once more to be worthless. Beelzebub had promptly not prepared them for what was to come, and the remaining significance of Suki in Beelzebub’s life was about to disappear forever. He knew that the insane little she-wolf would not be one of the more loyal ones, or at least, she didn’t appear to be. With how she left the pack, without so much as a thought to what would happen to her, he knew that she would either come back for forgiveness, or stay as far away as possible. Whichever one she did, it wouldn’t bother Adramalech. Since she was his brother’s mate, his brother would be the one who decided what happened to her whether she were to come back or not. Beelzebub would potentially kill her, or use her to produce a litter more fitting for Adramalech’s ranks, but if Adramalech had his way, her life would be cut short rather quickly if she were to ever reappear in their lives. Black eyes darted to Sakia, the she-wolf that he had grabbed on his way to the caves. She had been sleeping outside of his den recently, which he hadn’t minded. Having it to himself was nice, and he knew that she wouldn’t run. She wouldn’t get far without a pack, and she would die in the mountains before she was able to make it back to her home pack.
She was quiet the entire trip there, something unusual. She usually gave some sort of comment, but now she was simply quiet. Maybe the battle was weighing on her mind. She was not participating, as Adramalech had better use for his General than to have her be in fights such as these. She didn’t need to die unnecessarily when he hadn’t put pups inside her. If she were to prove to not be a good child bearer, he would throw her to the wind and to the wolves that wanted to tear her apart. Maybe if the offspring she produced were not sufficient, he would have his two sons kill her and them before they were able to make a dent in the pack like Beelzebub’s children had. Whatever was to happen, Adramalech would deal with that matter later. He had come to the caves a bit before anyone else, although Koga and his wolves were soon following behind him, the oaken male greeting him. After they were situated in the caves, black eyes glimmered in the darkness, looking towards him as he spoke of what the tournament would consist of. Beelzebub was off commanding Ronin to dust the caves, something that only a slave would do, but the male would do it willingly, or he would face the wrath of his owner. Adramalech didn’t pay enough attention to see of Ronin did what he was asked or not, and instead turned his attention to Koga.
“It will be a one on one spar. One of Beelzebub’s pups against one of yours. I believe the line up should be Anubis against Persephone, Imset against against Sauron and Varuna against Tern,” He spoke, having a bit of trouble remembering each name, but he was able to keep himself from pausing too long to remember. “After each battle, the dead body will be dragged away, and the next fight will begin. The only rule is that they fight to the death. Otherwise, anything goes,” He grinned a bit, knowing that they would possibly partake in multiple wolves against one. Koga’s pups worked together, unlike Beelzebubs. The fight would prove rather amusing to say the least.

She wasn’t sure what she’d expected this all to be.
One thing for certain, it wasn’t this. Beelzebub and his children were all behaving typically, bitching, squabbling, leaping at each other’s throats for the puniest perceived offense and then venting their anger on their slave, Ronin. She felt sorry for him. Nobody deserved that — and certainly nobody deserved to have Beelzebub as a master. Adramalech had already arrived as expected, politely exchanging conversation with her father. She shuddered, hoping that he wouldn’t notice she was there. She had never quite gotten over her childhood fear of her father — and wasn’t about to start fighting now.
Mother and Vivaldi were still absent. With them were her instructions. For now, she’d forget her father, forget Beel, forget Adramalech. For now, she’d wait.

cicatricum refertam pulchritudo “ Throughout the short journey, she walked alongside the Delta. Each of his steps made up nearly two of hers, so the slim Iberian had to almost trot beside him in order to stay with him. It didn't take long for the darkening sky to be swallowed by the studded roof of the caves. The nanny had only been in these caverns a handful of times, mostly accompanying her Alphess on their travels, but never following her through the cavern. There was always something about needing to teach Cayden the ways of Adjetni, and it surely had paid off, but she missed the one wolf beyond the chasm that she longed to see.
Placing herself somewhat close by to her Prophet, Maleah scanned the room for that one familiar face. As Adramalech and the rest of Mortiul approached, Maleah listened intently to the rules of the tournament. “It will be a one on one spar. One of Beelzebub’s pups against one of yours. I believe the line up should be Anubis against Persephone, Imset against against Sauron and Varuna against Tern. After each battle, the dead body will be dragged away, and the next fight will begin. The only rule is that they fight to the death. Otherwise, anything goes,” the hulking black mass explained. Already, just from looking at the only daughter of the peppered demon, the nanny knew that Anubis would be coming home alive.
A horror caught her eyes. A ghost. A shell. The nanny sucked in a breath watching the pitiful creature sweep across the floor on Beelzebub's orders. He was so familiar. She'd seen him physically before, when he had some meat on his bones. But spiritually, he was her. He was what her life could have been had Marusya not saved her from that tyrant. Swallowing a lump that had risen in her throat, she resumed her search.
Just then she spotted another such face, this one having the opposite effect. She was so much bigger, so amazingly different than before. For a moment, she was breathless, speechless even. So many emotions surged through her that she got unbalanced. Gently, she supported her structure on Cayden's, her gaze never leaving the substantially larger frame of the wolf who was practically her daughter. Moving around the area that Beelzebub's pet had cleaned off as to not get him into more trouble, the scarred she-wolf approached the pup she hadn't been able to see for months. As she got closer and neon green eyes encountered the mismatched black and white that Varuna also possessed, tears sprung to her eyes. "Tiny," she began, shoving her body into the young wolf that already dwarfed her, "I missed you so much. You've grown so big that I almost didn't recognize you!" Peeling herself off the youngest pup in the Alpha's litter, she peered upwards, wanting to catch and memorize every detail of her favourite pup's face.”

The trip there was rather short, if he had taken his normal pace, he would have been there a bit faster than the rest of the pack, but he didn’t want to undermine Koga as the Alpha. Looking to the oaken male, he wondered what he was thinking of the tournament. He had agreed to it, knowing that his children would more than likely win, but he wondered what would happen if one of his children did slip up and somehow managed to get injured. Would he punish them for being unable to prevent an attack landing on them, or would he let it slide? There was much to question on how Koga would react with his offsprings performance. As they finally made it to the caves, he saw that the Mortiul wolves had already gathered, most of them already talking and waiting for the Ignasia members to arrive. His eyes caught on Beelzebub, seeing him demand something of the male that he claimed as his slave. Cayden didn’t pity the wolf. He had brought him back after he had regrettably tried to escape. The moment he caught him was the moment the male knew he was in for a world of hurt. Bi-colored eyes didn’t linger more than a second on the male before he looked towards the three wolves that would be fighting tonight. As he scanned each and every one, he didn’t notice anything very Beelzebub-like in them. They must have taken after their mother more than their father then. Whatever the case, they wouldn’t last five seconds with Koga’s children. White ears swiveled as he listened in to what Adramalech explained, everyone being able to hear. The tournament would be one on one spars, one after the other once a wolf was killed. Anubis was to go first, as well as Persephone, one of Beelzebub’s children. He knew that the eldest of the litter would rip apart the other in a matter of minutes, so he needn’t worry about her dying off, or having Maleah witness that. Even though Anubis especially was cruel in her words towards Maleah, he knew that the Iberian she-wolf still cared for her. She cared for each of Koga’s children like they were her own, and it would devastate her to see one of them die. Speaking of Koga’s children, it seemed that there was a face among the crowd that was unrecognizable from the tiny pup it once was. Maleah brought herself to rest against him, his eyes widening a bit at the display of affection so openly in public from her. It was welcomed however, even if it only lasted a moment before she was heading towards the large figure, reuniting with the wolf that she had longed to see for quite some time. He watched contently as she interacted with the other, coming to sit down near the edge of the cave, awaiting the appearance of Marusya, as well as Maleah to come back to him, and potentially bring Tiny with. He had met her for a brief moment, but she was whisked away to Mortiul to train under Vivaldi. He wanted to get to know the she-wolf that had Maleah smiling so brightly at the sight of her. He watch the two contently, waiting. Maleah @tiny @koga

His little paws had worked hard to keep up with his father and the rest of the pack that eventually followed. Trotting through the snow, it got thicker as they kept going, but soon thinned out as a rocky outcrop was present, and a huge gaping hole, much bigger than the cave that his mother had kept him in, was visible. He looked towards it with little interest. He had lived in a cave for the past couple of months already, he was somewhat tired of them. But, inside would be where the wolves would fight, and he would want to be there, and would have to be there since his father would give him no other choice. His gaze drifted to Aamon who would have eventually followed, whether he wanted to or not. He wondered what his brother thought of the tournament that was to come. Surely he would enjoy it. Leyak was the talker, and Aamon was the brute force that Leyak would need in the future to reinforce his words. The two had a close bond, and would be hard to separate if there were to ever come a time to do so. Their bond was stronger than even Adramalech and Beelzebubs, being full brothers and not just simply half. They were built from powerful parental figures, and they were the shining lights that Mortiul needed to strive forward. However, he was wondering what his father was doing with the she-wolf that had been by his side since he had met him. She seemed to hold a hatred for him and his brother, although she remained quiet and didn’t speak too much. Adramalech treated her with a much kinder - if there were such a thing - tone and approach than the others of his pack. Maybe she was also a wolf that he would have children with? The thought didn’t particularly bother Leyak. He knew that his parents weren’t anything but the Alphas of the pack, and they were no where near mates. Maybe this Sakia was Adramalech’s actual mate, or planned mate. Whatever it was, he wouldn’t bother them too much about it. Instead, he found himself looking towards the wolves that approached. Some were recognizable from the commons, being Koga and a couple others like his children. There was a gargantuan white wolf that he hadn’t seen, as well as a small Iberian wolf accompanying him. He recognized the black wolf that Beelzebub had been speaking with, although not knowing his name, other than that, all the other faces were new to him. He watched from his father’s side as they discussed rules and such, but his gaze drifted over towards a she-wolf that was much larger than most, and he had to crane his neck to even look at her. She was greeted by the little Iberian wolf with familiarity, and called ‘Tiny’. She didn’t look that tiny? He wondered what the story behind her name was, but he thought it best not to approach. They were clearly talking, and he needed to stay by his father’s side in case he ordered something of him. The only face he didn’t see was his mother’s and he wondered where she was. He could do without her surely, but it was always nice to have her around. The small pup brought himself to sit on his rump, looking towards Aamon and beckoning with his small tail for his brother to come sit by him. Whether he chose to or not, Leyak would look out onto the wolves that were around him, trying to pick out who were the weaker links and who were the stronger ones. He was also trying to adjust his nose to all the smells that were currently overwhelming him. @aamon Alpha Adramalech @koga Delta Cayden Maleah @tiny

The caves proved to be an interesting place to be holding a tournament. The ground was frigid, some parts slick with thin sheets of ice thanks to the wintery chill that seemed to have permanently settled throughout the cavernous walls of the environment. A malicious grin quickly slid over Imset's face however as she glanced at the icy patches and jutting stalagmites, deeming these obstacles to be something she could use during her fight. The darkness would also pay off for the twins, as they were adorned with deeper coloured pelts that would blend incredibly nicely with their surroundings, offering another challenge to their opponents, who might not even last long enough to encounter any problems with low visibility. Imset was sure to keep close to Anubis' side as they entered the chamber in which they would spill their first blood, a sneer showing off her young, white teeth as she swept her gaze over the gathered entourage. Of course Adramalech and his pups were present, along with the half-faced Beta and the pups that were destined to die at the hands of Ignasia's proteges. Other Mortiul wolves had gathered, but none caught her eye in the way the familiar hulking mass of russet fur did. Imset nearly choked as she spotted her sibling, her eyes growing wide as she nudged Anubis and gestured in the direction of their other sister. "Fuck," she whispered to her twin, "Tiny isn't tiny anymore," she mused, yet at the same time was in a half-state of shock. Imset tried not to dwell on the bulked up presence of her younger sister, and instead made sure to stay close to her father as he approached the Mortiul Alpha. Her gaze was averted to the monochromatic younglings that were glued to their father's side in an identical way to herself and her own siblings. She gave a quick grin to the pair as she figured she might as well start some kind of an interaction with her future business partners, but this didn't last for long as her attention was quickly stolen by the instruction of Adramalech. Otherwise, anything goes,” Anything goes...A gruel gaze was pointed in Sauron's direction, a different kind of grin crossing her face as she pinned him with her stare. He was only a few inches taller than her, which wouldn't be a problem considering that she made up for the small height difference with a greater amount of muscle. He wouldn't be too difficult to slaughter, at this point, she was simply worried that it would be too easy to seal her victory. She wanted a show, a spectacle for everyone watching. Imset could never settle for anything less than dramatic. She would drag out his death if she had to, snap every bone in his body and then leave him to wallow in his pooling blood as his screams echoed through the endless caves as she tore his skin from his body. Imset was sure that Adjetni would love to watch the snivelling asshat suffer for his uselessness. She could hear those voices squealing in delight as she thought about the many ways she could prolong Sauron's suffering. She would make it her challenge, and besides, Adramalech had said it himself: anything goes.

They had met up earlier in the day to discuss the night's plans, and now it was the time. With all of Beelzebub's children in tow, along with a few others and himself, the group made the brief trek over to Ignasia's caves. One of the kids had been lost for a period of time, having bounded ahead to try to prove herself smart. Ronin remained silent the whole way, barely even thinking anything. How his mind had gone in the past few months. Upon arrival into the caves, Beel wasted no time in shoving his daughter forward, who looked around, confused, before her nose wrinkled and her lip curled in disdain. Hearing his name being shouted by his master, he shot to his feet. Before all of this, someone demanding he sweep off a battle arena which would soon be covered in pup blood would bring a scoff and him turning his back to walk away. Nowadays, he wouldn't even think it. He didn't think anything positive or negative, he simply huried to follow the command, no matter how small or pointless it seemed. Even if he thought it a joke, he would start to do it anyway to save himself the punishment. His hindquarters and ear were already adorned with jagged scars from his attempt at running, not to mention the newer scars across his muzzle from ripped lips and his forelimbs from the punishment given to him by Beelzebub himself after he healed from his injuries. Had Ronin been there, maybe the wolf who did that kind of damage to Beelzebub would have went after him and killed him. On the downside, Beel would have lived either way, so all it would have changed would have been his own lifeline, and even then it wasn't guaranteed the attacker would have even seen him as enough of a threat to take care of him first. The chilling way his master spoke to his daughter would have tugged at his heart and conscious at one point. There was nothing now. Nothing behind his eyes, no depth. Once bright amber irises were now dull, almost as if his soul had left his body but it was still moving. Recognition registered in his brain when he saw the female who had tried to help him way back when he had been caught running, but his gaze never lingered on her. He couldn't. Had to get back to Beel. He sat behind and to the left of the dark brute, bringing his tail to lay again his side so it wasn't sticking out. He did this for two reasons, the first one being to prevent it being stepped on, and the second being to prevent aggressors and Beel from grabbing and yanking him by it. He waited for everything to be done with so he could go home and go to sleep. Being starved sapped his energy. @beelzebub Alpha Adramalech Maleah @persephone

"Tell me brother," Tern heard Sauron's words coming out of the some rocks not too far from his position. "What should we do if we know we're marching towards death's doorstep? We've seen how they treat those that have no place... we have no place," the hiding pup said, laying down on the ground, defenseless. Feelings of despair and anger boiled up on within the black pup's little body, how could his brother, his own blood lay down and give up, just like that? Frustrated and irritated, Tern felt the uprising urge to yell at him, to convince him to get his ass from the ground and work for their survival. But, no words could be found for that to happen. They were only three pups with no training and barely any feeding, who were on nobody's side. Upon realizing the only one who gave enough of a damn anymore, the pup just mimicked his sibling, sat down, and kept those bad thoughts to himself. Time skip: Night Stress had attacked the pup roughly, making him sleep out of obfuscation, not actual fatigue. During his long time in unconciousness, Tern began hearing things, words, shouting, hissing, growling at a poor soul. The noise was simply too much for his slumber to continue, his eyes opened by themselves, witnessing Beelzebub hissing at Percephone. Stunned by whatever he was dreaming, the pup couldn't come back to his full senses to hear the whole conversation. "-ou and your brothers — Sauron, Tern, I’d take a long hard listen if I were you — haven’t earned your right to be called members of Mortiul. You haven’t earned your right to simply live among us. You haven’t earned your right to life, period. So tonight,” shocked and in disbelief, the pup just stood there, watching his father, wide-eyed. “You fight for it. Quite simple, really. Every wolf must eventually. Some much sooner than others". After those words were said, Tern didn't really heard anything else, didn't even feel much anymore to begin with-his own father was literally going to put them all in a death pit. Like that he stayed for a while, processing the illogical information. The not even yearling had seen how badly they treated the weak, how his pack just discarded them or left them behind to rot as some carcass, but to directly put them all to combat for their lives? That was just madness. Evil incarnate. Tern didn't even turned around to see Adramalech and Koga's arrival, but he sure as hell listened to their rules, the order in which the battles would take place. They couldn't even fight as a team, each of the siblings had to take on others individually. With a defeated sigh, the pup sat on the ground, and waited for the tournament to begin.

The trek to the caves was all too familiar. During her training sessions with her father and mother, she would often come here to spar with her sister or brother occasionally. Now it would be the place where they shed their first blood of another. How fitting. Paws his hard against the ground as she kept a calm pace, eyeing the other wolves that were there and keeping her gaze locked on the three that they would be facing. They were all incredibly annoying, the female more so than the rest. She seemed to think that she was worth more than she really was, and Anubis would be happy to wipe that pretty little face against the floor. Her blood would taste of jealousy and bitterness, but Anubis would enjoy it no less. They were plump, and would serve as good meals for any that were willing to eat. She was ready to already dig into them, but she knew that she would have to wait for the fights to be announced. Mortiul was already there, and since Adramalech was the one organizing the event, she listened to what he had to say. Persephone. That had to be the she-wolf that was standing among her two brothers. Anubis would be fighting her. How delightful. Anything goes. That was even better. She wanted to mutilate the she-wolf that was sat opposite of her, and they both took the center of the caves, Anubis having a stone cold face as she eyed the she-wolf that was there. The brat in front of her said something, but Anubis hardly listened. Instead she was tuning into the others around her. They were all watching, waiting for her to do something. But she would make them wait, even if it were for a bit longer. This caused Persephone to come forward, trying to land the first hit, a failed attempt on her part of course. Anubis swiftly backed up and moved away, red eyes looking to the other who looked confused. “Damn if that’s all you got, I’m going to enjoy making you scream,” Anubis said, and with that she came forward, rushing her opponent before she could do anything. Knocking her over, Anubis was on top of her, teeth digging into her forelimb as the other feebly poked at Anubis’ chest. The she-wolf pulled, shaking her head back and forth madly as she pulled. A scream filled her ears from below her and a wicked smile graced her face as she kept pulling. Oh, she could put her out of her misery now, but what was the fun in that? She wanted to enjoy this. And she wanted to hear every little scream she could from the she-wolf before putting her out of her misery. As she kept yanking, there was an audible pop and a howl of pain came from underneath her. Anubis let go of the limb, watching as blood poured from her bite marks, and it was twisted in a gruesome manner, the limb feebly moving as the she-wolf tried to move it, but only ended with a loud yelp of pain. Anubis grinned wickedly, letting the she-wolf get up before she made her next attack. Anyone could see that Anubis was toying with Persephone, but they would not intervene. She wouldn’t let them. She had been looking forward to this since yesterday, and now was the time to be able to enjoy it. Wolves that were needing to be killed were often hard to come by, especially when you were in an area where many would not dare venture to. As she brought herself to the rear of Persephone swiftly, she knocked the she-wolf to her back, grabbing onto the tail and tearing, ripping the piece of fur away as scream after scream left the she-wolf underneath her. Maybe someone had said something about her just simply killing her, and if her siblings would try to interfere, she would give them a glistening muzzle to tell them to stay away. She wouldn’t stop, she wanted Persephone to feel everything she was doing to her. And she was relishing all the noises that were coming from the bitch underneath her. As the tail finally ripped from Persephone’s body, Anubis made sure that most of it was intact. She would save this later to put outside her den, as a warning to others. And as a prize for her win here. As the other was now imbalanced and scrambling to get up but to no avail, Anubis simply took her paw and planted it on her face, pushing it to the ground before she could bite her paw. Not that she would think of it. Anubis leaned down, licking the blood from the injury she had left earlier, savoring the taste that washed over her tongue as murderous red eyes locked with Persephone’s. Fear and resentment curled in the faintly lit irises as Anubis brought her teeth to graze against the other’s neck. The she-wolf under her whimpered something, but Anubis didn’t listen. Now to mutilate that pretty little face of hers.Teeth locked onto the others ear and with one swift motion, it was torn from her body, flying in the opposite direction as Anubis went in to keep tearing things away, pulling with her teeth at anything that she could. Soon enough, she was finished, pulling away to show everyone her work. Feeble coughs came from the jaw that was now torn apart, almost unhinged by Anubis’ pulling. Eyes were nowhere to be found, instead just gaping holes where the used to be. The other ear wasn’t torn as much as the first, but it was still missing pieces. Persephone was still alive by some miracle, but Anubis was ready to change that. Grasping the half dead she-wolfs neck in her maw, Anubis ripped it open, blood splattering across her chest and muzzle, red eyes mirroring that of the blood flowing. Dark and ready to sate her hunger. But she knew that she would not be able to eat quite yet, instead, she grabbed the tail from before and headed towards where she had previously been, next to her sister. She would be next and Anubis was looking forward to see how her sister would face the wolf that was named Sauron. Taking the time to clean the blood from her pelt, she cleaned herself from the battle, not caring if anyone was staring at her, or watching her with horror. She had done what she wanted to do, and had done so perfectly in her opinion. No mercy was shown, and Persephone died how she should have. Useless and destroyed. Only after the battle did Anubis really take the time to look for her sister, Tiny. Although, she wasn’t expecting a giant wolf to be present in the place of her sister. She didn’t make a move to talk with her. Instead, she waited for the other to come to her. Anubis had put forth a lot of effort to put on a performance, and she was not about to interrupt Imset while she took out the dastardly male of Beelzebub’s litter. But she wanted to see if Tiny was indeed more capable now that they were older. Only time would tell however. She simply gave a nod in her sisters direction, showing that she acknowledged she was there. Whether Tiny saw it or not, she didn’t know, she didn’t stare long enough to actually see if she had. Her eyes refocused on the middle, where Imset and Sauron would surely commence battle if the hadn’t already. Anubis' attention however, turned to the ear that she had ripped from the she-wolf's body as she mutilated her, and she walked over, grabbing it between her teeth and bringing it back to where she say. She had never been sure about how to display affection for her sister than killing for her, and giving her the best protection Anubis could, but maybe small gifts like this would make her sister happy. She hoped so. As she sat there, she would wait patiently for her sister to return before she nuzzled the ear over towards her twin sister, giving her a failed attempt at a smile before she moved her attention back to the ring. “Oh dear, pray tell the battle arenas aren’t quite to your liking? I’ll have the help get on it on once. Ronin! You must dust the premises this instant, and if I spot so much as one stray hair, I’ll rip off your hide and wear it. Don’t you know royalty commands it? On with it!” Her father's condescending tone grated in her ear like a fly. She didn't even want to see the horrible pet her father kept as he scuttled around the area. If anything, the skeleton was just as disgusting as her father's missing face. “That more to your liking, hmm? I’d hate for you to be distracted by a bit of clutter in the corner. I know I haven’t told you why exactly you’re here, but I’d hoped — god, what a sap I was — that you could somehow figure it out. I should know much better by now, right Perci? You and your brothers — Sauron, Tern, I’d take a long hard listen if I were you — haven’t earned your right to be called members of Mortiul. You haven’t earned your right to simply live among us. You haven’t earned your right to life, period. So tonight, you fight for it. Quite simple, really. Every wolf must eventually. Some much sooner than others. No hard feelings, of course. May the best wolf among us win,” the demon beside her hissed. A fight? Did he really expect her to get into the ring and mess up the fur she had just spent the past half hour grooming back into place? She shot a glare at the horrid male. Not a chance. “It will be a one on one spar. One of Beelzebub’s pups against one of yours. I believe the line up should be Anubis against Persephone, Imset against Sauron and Varuna against Tern. After each battle, the dead body will be dragged away, and the next fight will begin. The only rule is that they fight to the death. Otherwise, anything goes,” the voice of her uncle ran through the cave. He must be talking to the delusional leader of Ignasia. How unfortunate that he had reproduced, now the world was all the crazier. She hadn't interacted with Ignasia much, so which one of the psychos was Anubis was a mystery to her. However, it wouldn't take long to find out as the tournament seemed to start on its own. Suddenly, the beautiful creature was left in a stone clearing with some mud coloured bitch. Instead of this spar beginning like she would assume it would, Anubis seemed to stand there. It made sense, Perci did tend to have that effect on wolves. She might as well show this tomboy what she was made of. After all, surely they were matched based on experience, so it would just be a useless tussle on the ground until they declared that the golden princess won. Striding up to the shorter wolf, Perci jabbed a paw out at her chest, a potentially fatal blow, had she not simply jumped backward. Confused, Perci squinted at the other. Did she not just want to get this dumb spar over with? “Damn if that’s all you got, I’m going to enjoy making you scream,” the crazy bitch rumbled, sending the first hint that something was wrong here. In an instant, she was on her back and her leg was trapped in piercing jaws. Just on instinct, Perci tried her lethal tactic again, her paw prodding bluntly at the other's barrel chest while her blood started to weep down pristine fur. A scream willingly flew out of her lips as the sadist began to pull at her leg, digging her teeth deeper and deeper with every angle she yanked it. Her back legs came up to try and push Anubis off of her, but they just sank into winter belly fluff and did nothing but infuriate her opponent more. Perci let out an even louder shriek as she felt her shoulder dislodge from its socket, the audible pop drowning under her wails. This wasn't what a spar was at all! Spars weren't supposed to actually hurt, at least from what she'd heard. It wasn't like her useless father actually spent time teaching her to fight. It seemed that the bitch's father had. Claiming her leg back from the jaws of hell, the princess whimpered as she tried to move the appendage. She'd never felt so much pain in her life. Her fur was ruined, flesh split and chunks of hair missing along the leg that refused to listen to her command to move. "You bloody psycho!" Perci screeched, indignant as ever as she struggled to her three good paws. Not even stable for a few seconds, she was slammed back to the ground. This time, the pressure was at her rear end, the base of her tail straining against it. Now she finally understood why RibBone kept his tail tucked in all the time. The hell that the feeling of delicate bones and tendons ripping away from her body made her dislocated leg feel like nothing in comparison. All the while, Perci howled in pain, unable to reach the bastard to attempt to fight back or deal any sort of damage. Her remaining useful legs thrashed in all directions. Her attempt to wiggle away from Anubis just caused more flesh to peel off her tail and was only good for more pain and bloodshed. Tears had already sullied her face, the dust kicked up from the mismatched fight clinging to her face as she let out another ear-splitting shriek. Anubis held her tail in her traps, and just chucked it to the side. Air hitting a stump was something that she never thought she would experience. Perci instantly tried to get up, to escape the ring and forfeit somehow - despite how unbecoming that would be in the future. Her legs were long and beautiful, but useless as Anubis was on top of her once again, slamming her tear-stained face into the slate. Her chest heaved with having to deal with so much pain as the cannibal's daughter licked her seeping blood. Her eyes locked with the unnatural red hue of the other's, wide and blown with fear. This was not what she had signed up for. "I give up, you win. You win," she whimpered as jaws closed around her neck. Surely the severing of her beautiful plumage was enough to prove that Perci was no match for her. However, no one seemed to hear her. Yet another body part was stolen from her as a searing pain rocketing onto her scalp at the loss of her ear. She didn't even have the change to see the flap of skin before jaws met her face once more. Her wails grew quieter and more clogged with blood as her face was decimated. Eye after eye after nose after cheek was torn from her. She must look even uglier than her father now - her head feeling faint from the amount of crimson leaking onto the stone. She hadn't even been able to plead for her life again as her jaw hung loosely, ivory bone exposed like some sort of wolf-zombie floundering uselessly. At last, Perci begged for death. It would be better than living and being this ugly. Coughing on her own blood, Persephone's breaths cut off as her drenched throat was finally exposed to jaws. Quickly, mercifully (unlike the bitch who had done it) a deeper darkness sank over the now blind she-wolf and she fell limp.
