L Y S I CHeir of Lubrusca Lysic was overwhelmed by everything that was happening around him. He knew that he was being treated, but he was confused. He did as Snow Rose told him, only whimpering slightly as he swallowed some things and something was applied to his burn. Looking towards Fenrir and Hydran, the only two survivors of his litter besides himself, he couldn't help but whine as he watched them finally awake, but he felt unsure of how to feel. Lirik and Erramun wouldn't wake up, and now they were being carried away by Mochi towards some holes. They were... They were dead. He already knew by the sound of how Mochi talked to Lysic's mother. The two pups weren't ever coming back, and they would forever be lost to the living world. Lysic felt like Lirik's death was his fault. He should have made sure that his brother had been okay, that they had both gotten safely. Guilt flooded Lysic. He was the first born, the leader of the litter. He should have led his littermates to the Forest River, he should have known where to go, and he should have been able to give them direction and keep them all safe.
Now, two of them were being buried, and the other two were unconscious, and in very bad condition. Fenrir seemed to be awake however, having cried out in pain only moments before. Lysic stared at his brother as he joined their mother at the final burial place for their siblings. Lysic thought it best that he would come to stand next to them as well, his one good eye looking across the burials. Shibaan, Erramun and Lirik were already covered, no one being able to see their torched bodies, or seeing the horror that they had become. But Lysic knew all too well what lay underneath. He would mourn for his brothers and hope that nothing terrible would happen, and he hoped that his only sister was okay as well. She hadn't made an appearance since the fire had started, and he hoped that she was okay. Listening to the words that Fenrir was saying, Lysic could tell that his brother felt the same as he did, and Lysic wanted to comfort, but at the trying comfort from their mother, Fenrir would shy away and not accept it. Giving a small sigh, the eldest sibling kept his eyes on the burial sites, only hearing his brother's faint askings of Snow Rose.
Lysic had already been forseen the leader of Lubrusca once it became time that his mother would retire, but he knew that he couldn't if he let other wolves die this easily underneath his watch. He knew his weakness, and he knew that he could only see half of what everyone else could, but he would have to uphold his ability to keep his eye out for anyone and everyone, even if it meant that he would work twice as hard. Remaining standing as he knew that he was unable to sit without it completely hurting, he would shuffled to a place near his mother, letting her know that he was there for her. His family was suffering enough, and he wanted her to know that he was there as well. They were all there, and they were all suffering. Studying the burials, he didn't dare move until his mother was ready too, knowing that she was still saying silent goodbyes to her lost children.

Parker wanted to leave. He had to get away for a few minutes, to clear his head, to get away from the bodies, to take comfort in Macha and try to help the pack somehow. It was ironic, only hours before, he couldn't be asked to do anything without complaining, but now he wanted, no, needed to do something. His soggy paws inched backwards, his once sparky gaze focused on the Alphess, waiting for a response. "Parker, Macha; wait," Mochi's voice caused an almost accusing glare to be thrown his way. Parker instantly softened his look of anger when he realized why it was Mochi instead of Auntie that was responding. She was in shock, and he could respect that if Mochi was going to speak for her, he should probably listen. "I'm sorry - but if a wolf, anybody isn't on this bank right now, they're not... they're not going to be coming back. Right now, it's too dangerous to be heading back to the Commons," the fluff butt began. Parker's invisible eyebrows furrowed. Why on earth would he go back to the commons? That place was likely nothing more that a pile of ash by now, with a bit of fire still kicking around. There was no way that he was going back there, especially with Macha by his side. He didn't have a death by fire or a death by Mochi wish. "If you'd like, you can help keep the pups company, or help Snow Rose sort herbs. There's also a pair a little further up bank. If you'd like, you can check on them - bring them back to us, make sure they're not injured."Parker stopped his slow retreat. He couldn't really help Snow with herbs. Wasn't Mochi paying attention in the commons? He knew jack squat about herbs, and there wasn't all that much to sort. If he could help by collecting up the remnants of Lubrusca, he would. "I'll go to the pair then, Macha, do you want to come with?" he softly said, already padding away towards where Mochi had scented them. He walked slowly, hoping that Macha would be beside him, unless she wanted to help Snow Rose. It would surely be more efficient, but did he really want to do this alone? No. But he would if he had to. He felt the ash under his paws crinkling as he walked. With every breath, the scent of the wolves got stronger, and the sound of the fire grew quieter. It was dying, finally, but so was Lubrusca. Shibaan, Lirik, Erramun, Devika if she couldn't be found, all were gone. Parker refused to let himself cry again. He was on a mission of finding two wolves, and hopefully bringing them back. He didn't need the thoughts of the words he had caught the Alphess whisper rolling around in his head. He didn't need the thought of graves being dug next to the river. He didn't need the thought of his friends being put into those graves. He needed to distract himself. He did so by flicking ash up onto his stomach, letting the flakes of dead plant material occupy his brain instead. The scents had gotten stronger, as did a new, fishier smell. Who even were these wolves? What were they doing here? As they came into view, he vaguely recalled their butts dawdling off towards this area when they had first arrived. A small frown crossed Parker's face, but he pushed it away. He was a happy puppy. He was optimistic. He was going to be happy about this, dang it! Wagging his tail the best he could, Parker approached the pair. He sent out a friendly yip, "Hey, you guys! If you're not too hurt, do ya think you could bring those fish back for the rest of the pack?" It never occurred to Parker that these adults wouldn't know about the fire; it was everywhere downstream! He had no inclination that the pair could be confused as to why he, and possibly Macha, were covered in ash. In his mind, there were adults, and knew everything. Oh no... what if they were injured? Then he would have to drag them back while trying to drag fish too. Ugh. That would be just too much work. Omega Macha @dante @elenor @mochi Alphess Ventus

It'd been a beautiful rest as they soaked up sunlight, basking languidly beneath a broad, all-encompassing canopy. Their catch lay curled, six strong; gleaming sanguine gills shimmering within the water's touch. A proud achievement for any first time hunters, enough to provide five pups and their Alphess a decent appetite, a first 'gift.' Now, they'd begin heading back for their first delivery. A happy, playful hum pulsed within his throat as he arched long, dappled limbs beneath his broadened hind, stretching each stiffened bone with a wonderful pop. If they carried their lot with any slip of sweet gentility, they'd avoid the problems that came attached to second trips. Carefully, he cracked his jaws open, testing them to the breadth of their ornery catch. Broad enough to carry two without trouble, three if things came to absolute worst. Could El manage her own? It didn't matter, he decided with a soft, loving smile. They were they now, and they'd manage their own as they always had. Suddenly, a sharp, amiable yip found thick fawn-tipped ears, faintly emerging from ever thickening brush. "Hey, you guys!" A yearling with fluffed, ashen fur ambled by the bank, swishing the soft onyx slip of his tail with a waning relish. Strange, foreign scents fettered the greying - no, golden - pup's thick pelt, searing his sensitive nose. He'd briefly happened upon the scent, able to assign it to a giddily playful golden pup he once heeded at the Commons. A native Lubruscan. He recalled a rowan pup happily decreeing him Parker. Whatever was he doing here, so far away from the Commons? Although the adolescent put on fronts of an open, happy-go-lucky nature, there was something intangibly sad about him. While Dante couldn't quite completely place it, something had obviously happened. A soft, gentle smile found his features as he allowed his tail reign to whip. Whatever had suddenly happened between their arrival and now, he'd attempt to ease tensions. Make the male smile, if he could. "If you're not too hurt, do ya think you could bring those fish back for the rest of the pack?" He chirped, his tail beating tenderly. A simple request. Simple, but slipped within an incredibly odd question. Was the area particularly known for hazardous fishing? El and him didn't have trouble. "Sure thing," he chirped; a soft, confused smile gently slicing his sorrel features. "We've been fishing since the moment the Alphess first assigned ranks - wanted to give a gift of our own." Gently, he gestured towards the six burgundy salmon, clutching one between thick, bronze jaws. "If you'd like, you can have a piece!" He beamed, his tone holding the lighthearted, happy lilt typically accustomed to it. "There's six, so there should be plenty left for the five pups. Once we're done with the Commons, you and I can go and swim, get acquainted. No offense, but I think gold suits you so much better than grey." Softly, he slipped his jaws around his catch; a giddy, playful glint suddenly gleaning against his ash gold. "Are you ready? Let's get moving!' Tagged: @elenor , Hunting Superior Parker

Omega Macha "Everybody Can Make Someone's Day, Just Smile And Say Hi!"
Macha padded after Park-ur, alabaster and cinnamon streaked banner lightly tapping her hocks as she hurried along side him. As he approached the spit-fire female from earlier and her own dear father, the marbled adolescent hung back, nervously watching the adults' expressions as her friend spoke to them. Mokee's face was stern, lines of concern creasing his face as he listened to the blonde pup's request. Though she loved him dearly, and as understanding as he was, the big polar bear seemed reserved, uncertain about their fiery decision to venture into the flames to find the rest of Lu-broo-scuh. His serious expression told it all as he leaned in toward the ditsy blonde, lip movements vague and difficult to read. By their faces, it was all too obvious what her father's answer had been: no.
Turning to face her, Park-ur mouthed something in her direction, something Macha couldn't quite catch. She was befuddled and a little out-of-it, this whole situation was making her slightly dizzy. However, he caught her attention once again as he turned away, began to jog off along the bank of the river without her. Citrine eyes following him for a moment, the deaf Omega quickly recognized that she was being left behind, and worriedly yapped as she awoke from her haze. "Park-ur! W-wait!" Her voice was frightened as she dashed after her only unoccupied friend, refusing to be left behind in the fray. She didn't want to be alone with all these destroyed and broken wolves, she didn't want to have to gaze upon those mangled bodies once again. She couldn't do it, she couldn't do it. It hurt too much, like a physical beating or stabbing, mental torture in every right. It plagued her brain with terrible ideas. What amount of pain had they experienced before they... ya know. How could she have let this happen? How did she run and hide with three members of her pack was suffering, burned, strangled and crushed?
Thoughts rushed through Macha's brain as she mindlessly hurried after Park-ur, face blank as she finally caught up with him. "Hi..." She greeted the colorful duo in front of her, giving a little dip of her head while shifting closer toward the pair. She absently observed their lips flapping, minimal interest surfacing until the auburn hued male perked up with a single, gut-wrenching word. "C-comm-uns?" She whispered hoarsely, glancing toward her friends. "Buh-but we..." Her eyes fell, leaving it to Park-ur, a much better lip-mover, to explain.

"Sure thing," the voice of the male reached his ears. It was weird to hear a wolf so happy after all that had happened. Wheels of doubt began to turn in Parker's mind. Did the male not know? How could he not know? He was an adult! All of the adults always knew what happened! "We've been fishing since the moment the Alphess first assigned ranks - wanted to give a gift of our own. If you'd like, you can have a piece!" The male's offer flicked the golden male's attention over to the pile of fish that lay on the riverbank. The little peep of his ashen raven crush made his smile grow a little more real. He was glad she came along with her, the more mouths to carry the fish back to the tattered remnants of his pack. She was also just a great calming agent and a good friend. "There's six, so there should be plenty left for the five pups. Once we're done with the Commons, you and I can go and swim, get acquainted. No offense, but I think gold suits you so much better than grey," Parker choked as the male spoke those words. It was like claws raking down his heart and stomach. His stormy eyes bugged out of his head as he coughed, not quite accepting what the male had just said. He didn't know. Somehow, he had avoided everything. All of the devastation. All of the deaths. Everything. "Are you ready? Let's get moving!' Macha's whispers matched his thoughts exactly as they floated into his ears. The male had to be informed. He had to know before they arrived back. "Whoa, whoa, whoa there," Parker began, his tongue feeling like concrete in his mouth as he tried to gather his words, "We can't go just yet... you need to... be filled in on some things." The golden male liberally coated in ash just had to take a second again. How could he break this to him? How? "There was a fire. A huge one. I honestly don't know how you missed it. Anywho, there... there aren't five pups anymore. There are three. And only us two yearlings so far, Prim still hasn't made it to the river yet. The commons are gone, the hunting grounds probably aren't in great shape. There's a lot of burnt things everywhere. You were just lucky enough you were by the river," Parker's voice trailed off many times during his explanation. He had to pause to collect himself a few times, talking about Shibaan and Prim especially. Parker spoke softly, "So we should be heading back to our section of the river with the fish then." Parker grabbed two of the fish, one by the body, the other by the tail, not wanting to make anymore words. He didn't want to cry again. He didn't need to cry again. @dante Omega Macha @elenor

- Beta Ebony - Someone who cannot hate something, cannot love something, either. Death came upon the valley as it drowned its victims with a force unmatchable, bringing a graceful end to few Somnus pups neither kindly nor quickly. Kin hovered helplessly as they fought to deter disaster, desperately gasping for air as they battled imminent death. Notwithstanding this, there was no beat in Ebony's chest, and no tears began to swell beneath his blackened sockets. Brandy optics leveled the chaos with gunmetal insouciance, a hawkish gaze drawing towards Ventus's fetal body as she caved hysterically. Unlike other wolves, Ebony immensely lacked emotional dimensions, but he understood when it was appropriate to pacify frenzied wolves in power before emotional satiation could influence their leadership. He glided with a hypnotic gait towards the many-hued alphess to soon be stopped by most supple Snow Rose.
Eyes raked what was set at his feet, a spirit of inquiry journeying to Snow Rose's glacial features through his all-consuming cognac orbs. Nerves, she thinks. He questioned any practical advantage he could gain from Snow Rose's contribution, but relieved himself of such trivially tedious query once he examined the details of her stature. Conventional beauty with a delicate chip in the neck--like something discernibly created to be flawless that couldn't quite bear the demanding magnitude of perfection. Of all the wolves, she was the only one who hadn't yet figured Ebony out, but the beta could not help but to play into her deception if it would be of service to her. To oblige Snow Rose was to allow her to believe she obliged Ebony. "Thank you," he muttered lukewarmly before fulfilling an imaginarily prevailing serenity with the chamomile. Russet orbs anchored on Ventus as he contemplated whether he could be of service to her, but much to Ebony's disapproval, it was Mochi she sought. Ebony was inclined to believe that the alphess quested to replace her lost mate, a pattern liable to produce poor habits in leadership and personal care in the future. Ventus blindly walked this pattern without considering the pain she would surely endure in another loss of love, for if something ever happened twice, it would happen again without uncertainty. If Ebony had studied and discovered the singular most detrimental force to all life and systematic structures, it was love. He, however, would never be so unlucky to be influenced by it. He met again with Snow Rose's hallmarking visage. "The two of us would produce salubrious offspring," the beta commented as he investigated the subject with only the slightest interest. Of the Lubruscan wolves, Snow Rose and Ebony had the strongest genes to offer each other. Perhaps not the best time. In a heat of realization, Ebony held his breath and trekked onwards in satisfaction. Velvety paws stopped at his alphess's tawny flank. Mochi hadn't responded, and the beta expected Ventus to be in anguished need of masculine solace. "Might I be of service?" He asked with warm fleece. Unpracticed in the virile arts of consolation, Ebony offered nothing more than a touch of his snout to Ventus's shoulder. He soon came to ache in the skin of his apathetic nature that separated him from the desirable blokes like Mochi and Joktan. Now, Lubrusca needed a sympathetic analyst more than a lieutenant. Ebony was determined to fit the needs of his pack, and he hoped dutifully that the alphess would be pleased with his physical display of commiseration despite its lack of authenticity. It had been the briefest of mournings; the softest, faintest slip of vulnerability, and yet already, she was seared by reality's barb. It had been her world, her family, her children, her pack shattered within seconds of a flame's awakening. Would time waver for the families lost, the lives flippantly leeched from children too young to lead them to their fullest? Mere hours, minutes harrowed before her brokenness would be wantonly brushed off as she assumed leadership's mantle once more. Would any wolf consider her own horrific loss - when autumn waned, and the first snows fell, would any consider the small, fragile slips of life that would never witness it? Lubrusca's charred lands would loom as lovely as ever, all wonders awakened by spring's beauty. Blossoms would bloom with sweetly wafting aromas, but the burnt, ashen bodies folded beneath Lubrusca's banks would never witness it, never scent the sage's gentle sweetness. Lubrusca's grief lay in solidarity. Noctis, Somnus, Ferus, the fierce rouges of the outlands would all walk the wonders their own universes while Lubrusca wept their dead. Best to bid them goodbye before duty beckoned. Silently, Ventus slipped from Snow''s side, hovering above her brood with a soft, trembling sigh. "Lirik... Erramun... Shibaan, you were all so young and full of life, and you should not have been taken early in this life." Hollow words harrowed through parted lips; each soft, fettered syllable a testament of Lubrusca's obliteration. Grief had gripped her in an iron grasp, each child entering her gaze holding a heartbreak she hadn't yet been made aware of. The lives they might have led. The joy they might have brought. The good they could have done. "Lubrusca is grateful for your presence even if it was for a short time." Her breath haltered in her throat as she allowed her auburn hind to drop, wrapping a thick ashen tail around for comfort. A faint, quiet flick beckoned the blanched white brute closer, much to his confusion. Gently, he ebbed forwards, wondering of what comfort Ventus could need that he could be capable of providing. He too had felt death's fierce touch before, the heinous destruction of his original homeland. Could he offer her any words of encouragement, a tender, gentle touch to soak her sorrows? He received his answer momentarily. Softly, a thin ashen muzzle pressed against his shoulder; a soft, gentle sigh passing through parted jaws. Tenderly, he shifted his snout, allowing it to gently rest on top of her head, the pure, white plume of his tail stroking her back. "What did Lubrusca do to deserve this devastation?" The question jarred him to his core. What could he ever hope to say? It came suddenly, cruelly, perforating the pits of his being. What pack could ever commit a crime worthy of weeks, years worth of devastation, the deaths of their own pups? They'd welcomed him and his daughter with a wonderful kindness - how could the Alphess that granted them refuge have lost hers? Words melted within his throat as he attempted to jerk his jaw into forming the faintest semblance of something, anything somewhat comforting. His tongue had seemingly hewn itself to the top of his mouth, limp and lifeless and unresponsive to his twitching jaws. What could he offer her? How could he offer her even the slightest, gentlest slip of solace, he, a stranger she'd accepted into her initially lovely homeland? She had suffered the worst of tragedies: her mate, her children, and now, an entire pack. How could he possible hope to ease that? It wasn't until the beta's soft, gentle suggestion hovered above his shoulder, inches from ivory ears, that he jolted himself from his panic. Ebony had offered her service and him an answer. In times as these, acts of service were all wolves could do; and so he'd do his wholeheartedly. "There's nothing that Lubrusca could have done to deserve this devastation." His voice held a boldness, a confidence rarely carried in its initial softness. "But this is not its end. Lubrusca's story does not deserve to end this way - and neither does yours. This is only a part. We are not doomed to death and devastation. We can rebuild; I know we can. Lubrusca will lift above today and be restored back to its prime, beyond it! Ventus, Lubrusca has survived the worst the world has to offer, and we've always pushed onwards. Tragedy may touch us yet again, but we'll never, ever endure the suffering we've seen today, I guarantee. I'll do everything in my power, I promise. Beauty can yet come of this. Don't the darkest nights yield the loveliest stars?" Golden eyes gleaned with newfound determination. "I can't predict what Lubrusca will yield, but I know one thing for certain: Lubrusca will overcome the tragedies of today." A delicate slip of a girl toddles alongside the river, strides wavering every few steps. Devika had been running forever, running from the orange-red heat that was eating her home. Prim had carried her some of the way, even though her fur was all dirty and gray with something called ash-ez, and she guessed the bigger wolf had realized she didn’t taste good because then she put her down and told her to run, run, run. So Devika listened, because she didn’t want to break any rules, but now she wished Prim had said how far she was supposed to go, because her paws hurt and her lungs hurt and her breath was doing that wheeze wheeze thing that the older wolves did after hunting. Stumbling to a stop, she collapses in an exhausted heap, inching towards the water so she can dip her little tongue in and have a drink. It was still cool even though everything else was super super hot, and she finds the energy to wag her thin little tail behind her. Staring at her gray paws, she carefully plunges one into the water and wiggles it around until it’s white again, before repeating the process with the other front paw. The petite babe didn’t think she could clean anything else right now, but at least some of her was white again! With newfound determination, she carries on. Devika didn’t think Prim would be too an-gery with her if she jogged instead of ran, so that’s just what she does. She jogs, and she stops to take a drink again, then she jogs some more. Maybe she’d jog right out of the forest! Except, she didn’t know if that was possible. What was out of the forest even like? Where did the trees even go? She wrinkles her nose. The pup was too tired for big thoughts. Sneezing as an errant bit of ash falls to her nose, she looks behind her. The gray stuff was falling like rain! Devika didn’t want to get even more dirty, so she starts to run again, even though her legs started hurting again. She’d feel good again when she found her mama, since mama knew lots of stuff and probably even knew how to make her legs feel better. After what felt like lots more running, the little fluffball can spy some wolves. None of them looked like mom, but she’d seen them before! Dashing up to them, she frowns a little bit when she sees how sad they look. They have lots of fish and each other, so why would they be sad? Maybe a game would cheer them up. “Guess who?” She bursts, little tail wagging away behind her. With much dramatic flair, she gives herself a good shake to dislodge some of the ash clinging to her fur and revealing some of the white underneath. “It’s Devika! It was me all along!” She giggles before coughing a bit; her throat felt funny. “I changed colors, so I looked new. It’s okay if you didn’t rec-o-nize me at first.” She reaches out to pat the much bigger paw of Parker, before offering what she thought was a comforting smile to Dante. The puppy didn’t want them feeling silly for not knowing it was her!

✗ Omega Kai ✗ "My biggest fear is that someday you will see me how I see myself."
The acrid stench stung an onyx nose for miles before the blaze came into sight. Wisps of orange licked the smoke stained sky, tainting the air with an appalling stench. What had happened? What hell cursed her home within the time she’d been away. Fumbling nervously, Kai padded forward apprehensively. Mind churning in thought, the Omega struggled to concoct a plan that would concisely explain her disappearance. A hunt? Certainly not! Even an averagely sized, four-limbed wolf would be incapable of taking down anything sizable on their onesome. The thought of Kai doing it was laughable. A searing rip of pain brought the bitch out of her thoughts, a muffled cry watering her eyes, blurring her vision as thin paws staggered to the left. A hoarse gasp accompanied the return of her sight, searching irritably for the sudden source of the wound that now stripped fur from her shoulder. Glaring at the charred remains of a smoldering branch, Kai growled in annoyance as she investigated the pink strip of burned skin, a small flare of disgust mingled with anxiety at the sight of her own boiling blood. Hissing in pain, Kai edged forward. If the fire hadn’t ravaged the territory, perhaps the snowy dame could’ve found some herbs to soothe her burns. But, for now, she was left to lumber on, stewing in mild anger. She was hardly gone for long, how did everything go to shit already? Alas, there was her answer! That’s how she’d hide her disappearance. Taking a steep breath, the wartorn dame crumpled down, hitting the greyed terrain, squeezing shut gem hued eyes. Hissing as multiple embers stung her skin, Kai covered herself in black soot. Standing up, she shook out her fur, now dappled with believable smoke, and an unintentional burn struck across scarred skin. The perfect cover, simply lost and confused in the fire that ravaged her home. Far to irritable with the loss of her companion, the wreckage she returned to, and the sting that accompanied each step, a scowl was affixed across once-pretty features. When she finally, finally limped toward her now visible packmates, glaring at each scene at laid ahead. First, her Alphess. The one that was supposed to rally the troops, moping over the loss of those rats she called children. Boohoo. It was her job to lead this pack, and look: Pups were moping about hardly supervised, the pack was spread out among the river. They should all be close to one another, able to look out for any oncoming dangers, and starting the healing process with one another. A small party could fish in the river, since the pack would be undoubtedly staring. But no, the Alphess was putting her pain in front of her pack. Leaders were meant to be selfless. Next, some newbie was raving about the structure of her pack. No. No! What the fuck was going on? “This is not your pack!” Kai snapped, pain pushed aside by anger-filled adrenaline as she stormed forward, the loss of a leg hardly changing the bitch’s ability to move. “How the hell would you know our struggles? You just stumbled along, looking for a home. But guess what, this isn’t a story. This place isn’t fucking perfect. We aren’t perfect. Having hope kills you.” The Omega stopped while her nose was mere millimeters away from his, angered eyes boring into his own. “I would know..” The scarred dame shook her head, images of the war hardly kept at bay. “You’ve been in this pack for what, a day? Two? You know nothing of our past. You know nothing of the war.” Foam bubbled at the edge of her paw, hackles bristling as a snowy flag thrashed. “Who do you think fought in it? Everyone else fucking died! Everyone.” Chest heaving, she whipped away, the final survivor of the war stormed up to her Alphess, every pent up emotion flooding out, finally. “And you,” Kai snarled, staying around a foot away. There was no need to attempt to intimidate the Alphess. She was pathetic enough when she wasn’t cowering beneath an Omega. “Is this the way you’re going to lead this pack? Moping about?” Kai cackled harshly, a pained smile gracing her features. “Leaders push their pain aside for the good of others. You would think an Alphess would know that. But you wouldn’t, would you?” Looking at Mochi for a second, sanguine eyes widened. “You relied on Joktan every second of your leadership. Is that what this is? His replacement? Couldn't even spring for a new damn coat color?!” She cried, tone raising with each syllable. “You're not the only one who lost things. I lost fucking everything!” Kai ended up screaming, tears flooding pink optics, her voice cracking. “You have your pups, and whoever the hell this is,” She gestured to Mochi. “You still have the pack I nearly died for! You know what I have?!” The tears finally spilled, trickling down soot stained cheeks, heart aching as words erupted. “An Omega rank. I fought two Ferus warriors for this damn pack, and this is how I get repaid. Treated like I’m useless. I’m not a tool, Ventus!” Kai shook her cranium, anger fueling her onward. “I deserve better. I’m the last damn fighter of this pack! And you make a fucking pup Delta, and now what? Where is she? Gone!.” Stalking away, Kai shook her head. Padding a few yards away, the alabaster dame waded into the river, cleaning off the soot that tainted her pure fur. As the liquid reached the burn seared across her shoulder, Kai cringed, a soft whine forcing it’s way out her maw. Alas, a chirp of joy interrupted her bathing. Glancing to the side, a similar looking albino bundle giddily joked. One of Ventus’s mustants. Waltzing up to the small wolf, she crouched down to face the pup, a sickly-sweet smile painted as her new facade. “Why don’t you quit your jokes, honey?” Her smile shifted into a dark scowl, Kai rose, towering over the dirtied female. “Because your brothers are dead, Prim is dead, Shibaan is dead. Gone. So do me a favor, and shut the fuck up.” With that, she whisked away, plopping down ways down the river, glaring at the smoldering forest.

"There aren't five pups anymore. There are three." Words curled within perked wheaten ears, but failed to file, pouring furtively out the opposite way they entered. It couldn't be. Wretched truths wrung the yearling's jaws; each wavering, thin-veiled word holding a horror he wished he'd never heard. Lubrusca's Commons, a place of promise for their future, lay coated in clouded ash. Ventus's five-strong litter, forever looming with life; the youthful, bright-eyed yearlings, brimming with buoyant wonder; the Lubruscan newcomers, perpetually in pursuit of possibility, all snuffed as he and El basked in bliss. Looming ash lingered between the burnt pair, showering from singed woods like winter's first snows, ebony soot enveloping their Eden. Death had darted haphazardly between the brindled pair and suddenly, abruptly shifted ambitions, instead now incinerating Lubrusca's innocents. How? Surely the softest, faintest slip of smoke would've slipped between forest branches, and yet, arid, foul-tasting ash hadn't seared a single nostril. He and El had been spared, both in body and mind, while Lubrusca's wolves bore devastation's blow. The yearling's voice yielded a fraction, a sliver of sorrow as thin, ashen jaws slipped around sanguine tails. Grief poured forth, perforating his profoundest, hidden-most parts as he attempted to garner Lubrusca's gloom. The life, the love, the families now fractured before the sun had set. Words twitched within his jaw; a soft, tender slip of sympathy. "I-I'm sorry." “Guess who?” The softest adolescent slip of breath had seared his own; a chiming, high-pitched chirp sounding the sweetest, loveliest sound he'd ever heard. Could it - could it be? The faintest, gentlest flicker of hope ignited his being, carrying his crestfallen soul to soaring heights. “It’s Devika!" The grey pup giggled, shaking her shadowed pelt out primly, revealing familiar white fur in its stead. "It was me all along!” Happiness choked him; a soft, thick sob threatening to part clamped puce jaws as he allowed his tail leave to lop. Radiance now rejuvenated his resolve; a rousing, pushing reason to face the future without fear. The world still contained a cusp of goodness, a wisp of wide-eyed, childlike wonder. Reasoning enough to fuel his faith that that Lubrusca's seemingly lost beauty would be restored in full; the fire had failed to singe every slip of innocence from Lubrusca's rich lands. Concern momentarily crossed his features as the ashen pup burst into coughs; searing, thick soot undoubtedly singing her sensitive lungs. “I changed colors, so I looked new." Devika admitted; a soft, bubble smile parting her powdered features. "It’s okay if you didn’t rec-o-nize me at first!" Warmth gleaned within golden pools; a soft, intangible sorrow filling his flaxen gaze. "Your colors are beautiful Devika!" He chirped, shooting the pup a soft, playful smile. "I bet your mother's going to think they're gorgeous."Suddenly, a silver-pelted she-wolf burst from broken crumbling brush; a sharp, clenched smile promptly searing her features the moment her magenta gaze met the pup's. Survivors! Ebony coated every corner of what initially appeared ivory; a broad gaping burn searing her shoulder. A salmon might work her wonders about now; a sweet filling dinner to distract her from her pain. Carefully, a crimson tail came tumbling from parted jaws for the frosted she-wolf to pick in passing; yet she passed, fully preoccupied with the waxen pup. Something now seemed incredibly off in that gaping, sickly-sweet grin; a cusp of cruelty gleaning against garnet. “Why don’t you quit your jokes, honey?" She hissed; a sharp, angered snarl curling the cusp of her onyx lips. Her eyes held a hatred breaching far beyond the blanched pup's time; a resentful, furious rage impossible for the pup to precedent. Something in her tone hissed that she'd love nothing more than to dash the dainty thing against the stone, as though she lay source of all her anger. "Because your brothers are dead, Prim is dead, Shibaan is dead. Gone. So do me a favor, and shut the fuck up.”Shock initially seared his jaws shut. He'd always previously assumed the best in others but this - this defied everything he'd ever assumed about the way the world had worked. Unprecedented cruelty, unwarranted aggression to a child that'd lost their entire family. It was inexcusable. And then, as suddenly as shock had gripped him, anger heeded its call. How dare she? What right had she to shatter a child's happiness? How goddamned heartless - a grating, furious growl began to build in back of his throat, puce hackles pricked in an irritable, angered arch. "Get away," he snarled, his voice holding a hatred, a rage he didn't know it could have ever held. Foam glistened frosted white fangs, poised for battle. "Get away from her you goddamned bitch!" He roared, placing a paw over the teary pup. "I swear if I see you so much as touch a hair on her, I'll kill you! Do you understand? Don't you ever, ever speak to her again." He spat, shuddering in fury. "Come on Devika." He lowered his voice, taking care to conceal his anger. "We're taking you to your mother. Don't worry - I'll make sure that monster never hurts you again ever, as long as I'm here. Would you like me to carry you?" The pup was undoubtedly exhausted from the ordeal, but if she wished to walk to her mother on her own paws, he'd respect that. Depending on her response, he'd either hook auburn jaws around her scruff or guide her to her mother with the yearlings in two. "Ventus," his tone softened; a sweet, gentle smile filling his features. "We found your daughter. Devika's alive."Tagged: Alphess Ventus, Hunter Devika, @elenor, @ebony, @fenrir, Sentinel Hydran, @kai, Beta Lysic, Omega Macha, Hunting Superior Parker, Salutary Snow Rose

Parker hated watching it. The look of the hope in the mottled male's eyes just draining out, the harsh truths that somehow he had just learned about sinking in. Parker couldn't meet his eyes as his apology broke the sorrowful silence between them. There was nothing to be sorry for. He couldn't have stopped anything from happening. Parker only nodded his tired golden head in response. "Guess who?" a voice as golden as Parker's coat snapped his head upwards. A tail that hadn't wagged with happiness for the past few hours, something that was extremely abnormal for the young male, began whirring up. As the tiny body came into view, Parker's smile and mood only brightened. “It’s Devika! It was me all along! I changed colors, so I looked new. It’s okay if you didn’t rec-o-nize me at first,” the childlike innocence and joy that Parker strives to continue to possess as he grew older served to brighten up the circumstances. To Parker, Ventus' pups weren't like siblings, but they were close enough that he couldn't exactly be their uncle figure. Maybe they were like his cousins? Yeah, his cousins! Seeing his only female cousin alive almost made him cry again, but he held it back with a smile. He didn't need Devika knowing about all of the things that had gone on without her mom. "Your colors are beautiful Devika! I bet your mother's going to think they're gorgeous," Dante's words were very agreeable. Parker nodded his ashen head giddily. An approaching, very distinctly familiar form approached. He hadn't seen her in a good while, so seeing her alive was just a blessing. "Kai!" Parker barked out towards the unique female, his tail still wagging at the prospect of finding another friend. However, it seemed that she had experienced a rough time. She had a big scratch on her shoulder, and a big frown on her face. “Why don’t you quit your jokes, honey? Because your brothers are dead, Prim is dead, Shibaan is dead. Gone. So do me a favor, and shut the fuck up,” the scarred female growled out at Devika. Parker was shocked, but managed to shout out a, 'Hey!' to cover up Kai's foul language. His smile turned to a frown as the she-wolf stalked away. He got that there was a pretty huge thing to be mad about, but why take it out on Devika!? The pup had just come out of it for goodness sake! The word's that Prim had died didn't have a chance to sink in as Dante stepped into action. "Get away," the male began, stepping over the smallest of the Alphess' litter. Predicting some rough words were about to be said, Parker rushed over to Devika's side and shoved his head under Dante's legs so that he was on the same level as the pup. As the male above him belted at the she-wolf he once thought to be nice, Parker spoke exclusively to the pup, trying to distract her from the male. "Hey, Vika! Do you remember that pine cone game we played? Well, you didn't really join, but wouldn't it be fun to play again sometime when we get back to your mom? Or we could just do what you did and look at all the pretty beetles and things that are crawling around," The golden male could've yapped all day to the pup underneath the new male, but it seemed that his yelling spree was over. Popping his head out from the slightly fishy smelling male, Parker listened intently to see how this wolf would transfer from anger to talking to the pup. "Come on Devika. We're taking you to your mother. Don't worry - I'll make sure that monster never hurts you again ever, as long as I'm here. Would you like me to carry you?" Parker was well satisfied with the male's switch, so he took a few steps back. He seemed like a pretty swell dude if he could say so himself. "I'll grab some of the fish!" Parker yipped, his mouth already moving to latch onto two of the freshwater creatures. Hopefully, Macha would help him carry the fish back if Dante's mouth was unavailable. Within a short time, they had arrived back to the rest of the pack without Kai being a part of their little group. As Dante branched off towards Ventus and Mochi, Parker took a small detour to drop off the pair of salmon stuffed in his face. The rest of the pack to could catch more to satisfy the rest of them. A harsh blow of reality struck when the yearling realized that the pack wouldn't need to catch many more to feed the rest of them. He tried to shove that thought out of his head as he returned to his no doubt grieving Aunt. If Macha wasn't already over with the male, Parker would press himself into Mochi's side lightly, offering support to him, his Alphess, and those buried only a few feet away through his touch. "Two daughters returned safe and sound, Mister," Parker's increasingly tired voice murmured softly, a light banter at the fact that it was pretty obvious that he wasn't Mochi's favourite teenager. He didn't push it any further than that. This wasn't exactly the time for jokes. If Macha was already pressed onto him, then he would just do the same thing, but leaning on Macha. The seemingly full tanks of energy that Parker possessed on a daily basis were running on fumes. His had never experienced so much emotionally exhausting trauma. He was only young after all. Whomever he was leaning on was now the proud supporter of a tucked out Parker. The teen was determined to stay awake, but even so, he needed that little bit of a power nap. His stormy eyes closed, and he sagged onto the wolf, his ears still mobile and listening to the things around him while the rest of him shut down momentarily. | Alphess Ventus of Lubrusca | Her mind was racing as she looked towards Mochi. His words fell on ears that could hardly comprehend what he was uttering. His determination contrasted with her weak and easily unhappy demeanor, and as her eyes lifted to meet with his as he spoke of rebuilding and making Lubrusca better, she couldn’t help but feel herself lift slightly as the weight that was laying upon her shoulders removed itself, even for that moment of reassurance. She knew that her pack would suffer many more losses. With the war, and then the fire, there was only more to come, but maybe they could strengthen their abilities, move into a new design as the pack had once done before. As the female felt as if she was able to rest easy, the ear-piercing sound of a familiar distasteful voice filled the air.
Kai was verbally berating Mochi for speaking as if he were one of the oldest members of the pack. And honestly, Ventus couldn’t help but feel the spark of anger ignite within her stomach as she looked over the female. As she snapped and spat at Mochi, Ventus felt the fur upon her neck come to a stand, feeling an overwhelming urge to protect the male from her words. He could handle himself just fine, but as the Alphess, she couldn’t tolerate this behavior, especially not from the rather disrespectful female that was there in front of them now. Kai, after spending time berating the male, turned on Ventus. The female had always sought to pick a fight with the Alphess, how she was still in this pack? Ventus felt like she needed to pity the female. The lame leg that she possessed was from a war that Ventus could have prevented. A war that would not have taken the love of her life away, a war that could have been prevented by her simply taking Ferus’ commands and letting them steal part of her territory for them to use.
But, what was done was done, and Kai had no reason to be snapping at either Mochi nor Ventus, and the small grieving female let her anger get the best of her as Kai’s words rang through her ears loud and clear. It felt like something had snapped inside of her, and she brought herself to her paws, a dominant position taken as she looked towards the other female. She walked away, heading to bathe in the river to rinse her pelt of the soot that layered upon her pearly white fur. The fiery colored female could hardly think as she watched the other she-wolf snap at her daughter, feeling an overwhelming surge of anger. Dante came to Devika’s defense, and brought the snowy white pup to Ventus, telling her that she was alive, Ventus felt overjoyed that her only daughter had survived, and she limped forward, wrapping herself around her pup and giving her a lick upon the head as the fire that had since been extinguished in her eyes had once more returned with the fact that most of her pups had survived the fire.
But now it was time to deal with the Omega. The disrespectful she-wolf that was down, further away from the pack than she should have been. The she-wolf was selfish, acting as if she was the one that was that was in the right. Kai didn’t know what it was like, bearing pups that were to be wiped out only two months after birth. Kai didn’t know how it felt to lose a mate to a pack that had attacked for territory. She may have lost something in the war, but treating Ventus as if she had no idea what loss was, or that her grieving was not at all justifiable angered Ventus to the very core.
Bringing herself to pull away from Devika, the Alphess brought herself to stand closer to where the she-wolf was, bringing her voice to ring loud and clear through the clearing. “You know why you’ve been an Omega Kai? Because you lack respect. If you were more respectful, then maybe - just maybe - you would be given a better rank. But your attitude is that of an Omega. One that shouldn’t be respected. Everyone fought their damn hardest for this pack, we all lost something. Don’t act like just because you think you’re this all important wolf that everything should be given to you. Earn your fucking rank, fix your fucking attitude,” Ventus growled out, letting her voice be heard by everyone. “That damn pup you were talking about? Well she had more potential than you could ever muster,” Ventus hissed in Kai’s direction before turning to her pack. “Thank you Mochi, for taking command of the pack and helping, as well as you Ebony,” She said, nodding to her Beta. “Right now, we will stay near the river, and once the fire has completely died, I will send a few of you to scout in the hunting grounds to find if the prey is still roaming, and to check the commons and see how much was damaged.”
“If any of you have been injured, please see Snow Rose, right now we must work on regaining our strength, and please, do not do anything reckless,” The Alphess said, limping over to Mochi’s side. She sat next to him, although rather awkward considering her legs. Her fur brushed against his, before she felt herself leaning into him. “I can’t thank you enough for stepping up and helping take care of the pack,” She whispered, not daring to look towards him, in fear of feeling too vulnerable.
“Let’s just hope, that what you said was true, and that we can rebuild this pack, and make it even greater than it was before,” She felt a small smile twitch at the end of her lips, feeling as if what Mochi had said, was an unspoken promise that would be kept.

Your colors are beautiful Devika! I bet your mother’s going to think they’re gorgeous. “You really think so?” The powdered puppy puffs out her small chest, prancing in a circle as if to show off her coat. Dante and Parker were fun! Nice! They should play later! “If I roll in the dirt, I can be brown like you too! We could be be-yoo-tiful together.” She gives a decisive nod, though when her eyes reach Parker her nose wrinkles a bit, as though she had encountered a super hard problem. “I dunno how to turn pretty yellow though. Do you?” A wildly wagging tail brushes against something strange, and she turns to see another big wolf crouched behind her. With pretty eyes! And a clean pelt all full of water. She wishes she could bathe too, but Devika was too little to swim. Why don’t you quit your jokes, honey? At this, her tail slows to a stop. She didn’t understand - jokes were fun! Why would she quit them? Maybe Kai (that’s what Parker called her, what a good name!!) had better jokes. Because your brothers are dead, Prim is dead, Shibaan is dead. Gone. So do me a favor, and shut the fuck up. Any semblance of cheer had quickly fled the pup, eyes wide enough to show the whites as she stares up at the now towering female. Trembling so hard that her legs gave way beneath her, she cowers beneath Dante’s paw, unable to take any comfort away from the protective motion. She had never been faced with the wrath of an adult before, and for the first time in her short life, she fears she would be hurt - but that is nothing compared to the fear that the other’s words might be true. Dante’s baritone voice booming above her, the tiny she stares unblinkingly at Parker, barely registering hasty platitudes as fat tears roll down her cheeks. “...beetles?” She finally warbles out, head bobbing in what could be a nod. She liked beetles. Beetles were shiny and good. We’re taking you to your mother. Don’t worry - I’ll make sure that monster never hurts you again… Devika shakily gets to her feet, head lowered so her scruff is easier to grab; she knew the drill. Even though his jaws were much bigger and more toothy than Kai’s, she felt safer between them than she had just looking at the female’s. Trembling slowly subsiding as her mother comes into view, she hobbles over to her once Dante sets her down and gratefully collapses into her embrace, burying her face and her tears in the elder wolf’s thick fur. The reunion ends too soon, though, as her mother stalks away to speak sternly at the mean wolf, and she already misses the feeling of home and safe. There was another here who could give her that, though, and tiny cranium swings towards Lysic, her biggest big brother. Before that, she had to be nice and respect-full. Trotting over to Dante, she rears up onto her hind legs and places her paws on his chest for balance. If his head were lowered to where she could reach, she’d gently lick the bottom of his chin; if not, the base of his neck. Eyes brimming with gratitude, the pup would say, “Thank you, mister Dante,” before scampering over to Lysic. Her brother looked like he was hurt, and sad. She didn’t know how to cheer him up though, because she was sad too. She could feel each beat of her heart in her throat, and as she looks at the freshly turned dirt, she feels like she wants to be sick. Sitting heavily next to her sibling, she buries her face in the fur of his neck, nuzzling into him like she were trying to burrow affection right into him. “Ly- Lysic,” She starts, having to swallow before her voice came out right, “Do you think...you think Pa will take care of them now?” And then she starts to cry in earnest, big tears that blurred her vision and stole her breath, because some of her brothers were gone and the others were hurt and she couldn't do anything to fix it. But Lysic was here, and he looked so strong, standing over their graves, and so she should try and be strong too. With halting hiccups, the snow-touched pup hides her face in his side so no one else sees her crying, trusting her brother to be the support she needed. L Y S I CHeir of Lubrusca Everything moved around him as he studied the graves of his brothers. Kai approached, and at their packmates arrival, it seemed she had nothing but rage to spew towards anyone. They had lost pack members, and the young male didn’t understand what she was so bitter about. Lysic had not been told anything about Kai by his mother. He had simply just seen the interactions between the two, and it seemed tension flowed whenever the two interacted. But Lysic was simply a pup, with no meaning of understanding the silver female that sulked throughout the commons and now within their new temporary location until the fire passed and growth was once more upon the territory.
Lysic was delighted to hear that his sister was alive and well, and as she was brought to himself and their mother, he couldn’t help but wag his tail, the smallest twitch of a smile being placed on his face. She was the smallest and the only female of the litter, and thus Lysic cherished her more than his brothers. He loved each of his siblings dearly, but Devika held a special place in his heart. As she sat next to him, he curled into her nuzzling his neck, feeling the comfort of having one of his siblings near, and feeling more at home now that at least some of his littermates had survived. As she stuttered out his name, his working right eye struggled to scan her for the emotions she was feeling. He could sense them however. It seemed that she was radiating sadness, knowing that two of their siblings had passed. He didn’t know what to say to her about them, but it seemed that she understood what had happened.
As she asked about their father taking care of them now, he smiled sadly at the thought. Erramun and Lirik being introduced to their father that they had never met before, only knowing his name, and the stale scent that lingered in the Alpha Den that they had slept in while they were nursing. Hopefully their brothers found their father safely, and without voicing his concerns, he gave Devika a nod. “I think so,” He whispered, nuzzling into his younger sister. “He’ll take good care of them, and they’ll watch over us,” he said with a smile.

The audible rumble of fire had finally reached her disturbed hearing after what seemed to be hours. Through her forced slumber, Prim's mind could only replay the hazy image of Devika's figure fading into the distance. Eventually the tiny pup would disappear into the surrounding smoke, leaving Prim stumbling along blindly, desperate to reach up. Of all the pups, it was solely her job at the moment to deliver Devika safely to her mother. Oh, she must be worried sick. Prim and Devika had been separated from the group in a frantic hurry, all aiming to meet at the same spot eventually. The river. Had Devika made it, Prim had successfully completed her duty and at least saved one life. Only, now she wasn't sure.
The tower of smoke, surely as thick as mud, must have obscured her oxygen levels and knocked her unconscious. Prim had been left behind and rendered completely defenseless for however long. The fact that she wasn't dead yet was a miracle, but she was far from out of the woods yet. Bright orbs fluttered open to the harsh reality around her. An unfamiliar stinging sensation tempted the lupine to slowly force her attention toward her paws, or rather where they should have been. Though still intact, her front paws were practically being seared in a small pile of flames. Her mind raced as she forced her shaky body to a stand. If she wanted to get out of this alive, she had to think wisely. The smoke was affecting her breathing, so it could be rightly assumed that she wouldn't make it far wasting her energy and breath by running. She had to save the oxygen she had. Her paws, still lightly aflame, stung with a growing pain.
Prim wandered forward a ways, testing her balance before eventually wiping her paws off in some loose soil to cover the remaining flames. She would need to seek help for burns as soon as she had the chance. Her slow stroll melted into a mellow canter, and then eventually a hurried sprint. The adolescent kept care to monitor her breathing, forcing her body to survive on long breaths, though her lungs screamed for the familiar panting accompanied by a sprint. She had to make it to the river and see for herself that the others were alright. This fire couldn't possibly be the end of Lubrusca and the only real family she knew.
Her sprint was short lived, energy running low. The youngster was forced to a trot, but all hope was not lost. At last, she had broke through the trees to find her packmates. She was more than grateful that some had survived, although without having to count Prim could tell they were short. The she-wolf drew in a deep breath, savoring the fresher air that swelled along the rivers path. She was growing dizzy again and completely worn out, but she couldn't rest until she found Devika. As she found her way over to the swarm of wolves, she had finally begun to catch the tension that had built. There was Kai, towering furiously over the small but unharmed - thank god - form of Devika. “Because your brothers are dead, Prim is dead, Shibaan is dead. Gone. So do me a favor, and shut the fuck up.” Kai's tone startled Prim. She was dead? Never mind that, she shook her head with disbelief. The pups are gone? And poor Devika was left crumbled to the floor as the female walked off. Prim stood warily at the edge of the forest, watching as Ventus quickly stormed after Kai. The she-wolfs tail whipped angrily, relishing her alpha's attitude as she gave the Omega a piece of her mind. Kai made it sound as if Devika had anything to do with the ongoing disasters, and Prim was not ok with that. Devika was too young to have to hold that burden on her shoulders for years, as Prim felt guilty for her own brothers death.
As soon as Ventus had finished, Prim immediately began stalking forward towards Kai, emerging from the shadows. Her ears fell flat against her head, teeth bared in disgust as she came to face Kai with dominance. Yes, Kai was far lower than her now. "Sounds like you almost wanted me dead, Kai." Prim snarled loudly. Her anger flared inside her, and she could hardly contain herself from attacking the she-wolf. Quite frankly, she deserved no less from Prim after thinking so lowly of her. "God, if I ever hear you treating any pup like that again i'll tear you a new one. If it's anyone's fault for her siblings death, it's yours," The adolescent took a step closer, lowering her muzzle to the females ear in a quiet whisper. "Where were you to help, huh?" she paused, scenting something off about the female. Ferus. "Playing with the enemies now?" she growled tauntingly. Prim backed away finally, orbs burning with hatred before turning away to find Devika. The memory of her brothers cold limp body still seemed so fresh, and still she was ashamed that she could have done something to prevent his fate. Yet she didn't. If Kai managed to stick around, Prim only hoped the bitch would learn what impact she really had on another life. Even just one of the other pups could have been alive if she had been in the commons...
The she-wolf felt weak. As the surge of adrenaline left her body, Prim couldn't help but fall to the ground beside the now-ashy pup and her one remaining sibling. Her cranium drifted easily onto her crimson burnt paws, deep slumber beckoning her. She would have to request Snow Rose for medical attention later. Before drifting off, though, her sad hues found Devika's crying figure. "I'm sorry.." she began awkwardly, inferring about the dead pups. "Just remember that I bet your brothers and sisters are so so proud of you for running when I told you to," Prim's eyelids fluttered close. "You're so brave." she would mumble quietly before drifting off.
