Not really concentrating on his surroundings, Hydran led his own way to nowhere in particular, just thinking of something to do. It wasn't until the cross breed decided to just ask his mom and get the indecision over with, that one of the pups of the pack intercepted him, just barely stopping himself from crashing with the little thing. It was one of the general's children, Basil. The hunter replied to her sudden appearence with a soft "Hey there, what's up?". The kid though, she did not waste time and quickly begun to talking at tremendous speed. Well, that'd probably be an exaggeration, but tired Hydran is tired, so he was not able to keep up with such a hyperactive, high-pitched voice. Starting to feel the bad mood growing on him, passing through his body and finally reaching his forehead, the male was about read to stop the younger pup's ramblings and politely ask her to explain herself, with a little less enthusiasm. But, something hit him repeteadly, something cold that spread it's lack of heat quickly and sporadically, sending shivers down his spine. Turning his head around at the cry of "Who did that?!?, he found Parker laughing his ass off, rolling on the snow. "Hoo Hoo Hoo", the older man laughed, making Hydran a tad saltier every second. Once the other hunter was finally able to breath, he pronounced himself "Hey Hydran, "Don't grow up to fast bro, it's not all that fun up here!". Walking up to the cream colored male, the son of the alphess sighed, shruggin off his irritation, trying hard to smile his way out of the on-coming threat of the bad mood. Smirking, the younger hunter replied "You say "up there" as if you were that older than me, dude. Meanwhile those words were said, Hydran used his paws to gather snow and create his own, smaller and much more improvised pile of the frozen water that was used against him earlier on. "Besides..." the word, pronouced with an air of cockiness and arrogance, purpously to distract Parker from his scheme. Using one of his paws, Hydraw kicked the pile, which upon contact broke and spread in the air, partially hitting the older hunter. "...you can't beat me on snow fights!" Maddox"Maybe our future's so bright it fucking burns like a Wildfire." Maddox looked to his father as his little attack seemed to wake the large brute. Smiling as his father rose to his feet, Maddox looked at him with eager little eyes, wanting to hear every word his father said. As his father mentioned they would potentially be meeting their mentors today, Maddox was rather excited. He had been promised to be trained by another wolf, so long as he was good and showed that he was able to listen and learn well. He had happily portrayed that since the day he could walk and speak. Giving a small yip of excitement, Milo seemed to vocalize their excitement as well. His tail was wagging no doubt, and Maddox was ready for whatever his father had in mind.
Listening, he was delighted to hear that they were going to be pranking Devika, one of the younger wolves in the camp. She was Ventus' daughter, and for all Maddox knew, Mochi's daughter as well. Knowing that they were going to be playing a prank on her, he listened as his father mentioned Milo and him, saying that their objective would be to grasp her tail, but not pull or yank on it. It would be easy, even without a distraction. Or at least, that's what Maddox thought. Wiggling his rear end in excitement, he watched as his father approached Devika, and the little male followed Milo. Ears perked, he listened to his father talking, and when Milo thought it time, Maddox was lunging towards Devika's tail. Although, it seemed he had grasped it, Milo had not, and instead had tripped and fallen into a snowdrift.
Around the time that he had gotten ahold of Devika's tail, Lysic - her older brother - appeared with a squirrel hanging from his jaw. Maddox had stars in his eyes, watching the male drop it in front of Milo, whom was covered in snow. He wanted to hunt! Trotting away from Devika's tail, as he thought he had clearly caught it, he trotted over to his dad, sitting down next to his tail, practically sitting on it as Lysic approached and asked how they were doing. "Good!" The male squeaked out as he looked over towards Milo who either was munching on the squirrel already, or was getting there at least. "How did you catch that squirrel? Can you teach me?" Maddox asked, looking up at the male with hopeful eyes.

| Alphess Ventus of Lubrusca | Ventus looked towards her mate, happiness spreading across her face as he appeared in the den, and it seemed that he hadn't noticed their daughter quite yet, but as he approached, she shifted slightly, revealing the little white ball of fur to him. As he came to give her a kiss, it seemed that he finally noticed the new addition to their family. He probed her with his brown nose, and the little one squealed at the cold touch. Ventus couldn't feel happier at the sight of Mochi nearly losing his mind over the bundle of fur. As he asked what her name was, a little frown came across her face, but was rapidly replaced with a large smile as she thought about naming their daughter, together. She hadn't had the chance with Joktan to name their children, and she had named them all herself without a clue as to whether or not the names fit them.
Her children now appreciated their names and they fit them even more so now. But she had no clue what she wanted to name her and Mochi's only daughter. "I was waiting for you honestly. I can't seem to find a name that fits her," She stated, looking up towards him. "Do you have any in mind?" Of course, he probably wouldn't have any off the top of his head, but he would most certainly be able to come up with some beautiful names. The male was always good at coming up with things, and he was much better at deciding than she was. | OOC: @mochi

Words: ~ ♦ Mentioned: @ebony As usual, the young lupine gradually drifted off, working up a day's plan with a careful ear on the conversation around her. It was then that it seemed a task was at hand, more specifically for her or one of the superiors. Prim's neck snapped in the imposters direction, a scent so vague it would take a talented nose to catch on the wind. It was carried from the hunting grounds, or at least in that direction. Alas, it would take some practice for the adolescent to accept the task quicker, as their beta, Ebony, was far quicker on his paws. The shadowy figure lured toward her at once, knowing as well as she did that the alpha's were off canoodling, or whatever it was they did. She more than anticipated what the male was going to ask of her, but hearing him elect her in charge was exhilarating for the moment. Prim offered a distinct sly smile as she nodded her head. "A great way to start the day," she would murmur sarcastically. If it were anyone that she felt comfortable with in Lubrusca, Ebony was definitely on the top of her list. His silence was perfect; Prim almost always felt invited to speak a bit more freely around him, and better, she didn't feel forced to engage contrary to her current situation. She knew the pair were alike in more ways than others, and with that she knew he would understand.
Contrary to her ease, Prim was immedaitly shaming herself for not choosing a more sophisticated choice of words. She looked up to the male, but in that moment she sounded a bit more.. natural. The she-wolf immediately hopped to her paws, taking the beta's orders as a pass to dismiss herself from the party of puppies around her. Regardless, they were all distracted by Lysic's kill anyways. All but Devika. As Prim lumbered off, she noticed that the tiny girl was no longer in sight. Her worry was short lived, though. Prim made a quick loop around the area, soon finding the pups scent mingling with Ebony's. She rolled her eyes. Surely he didn't invite Devika; he wasn't one to interact with the pups much. Still, she trusted that he was aware of her following him. Distractions gone, the adolescent Delta plotted herself towards the edge of the clearing where she could keep an eye on everyone. She presented herself as a guard, all four senses at work in order to keep mindful of the unknown.

A soft, thoughtful smile filled Ventus’s features as she contemplated his question, a fiery brow furrowing in thought. "I was waiting for you honestly. I can't seem to find a name that fits her,” she confessed, mulling over her options. "Do you have any in mind?" Did he ever! His mind reeled with possibilities; a thousand different sounds and symbols filling the space just a-top his tongue. Tenderly, he pressed his nose into her ivory fur to ensure he secured her scent, rasping his tongue over her frosted pale forehead in apology. She smelt of dried pine and winter air, crisp and clean. Elegance would suit her, something regal, sophisticated, and refined by the royal prestige befitting an Alpha’s child. Her spirit, however, held all the fighting grace of a future warrior, already tugging his tail and fur with soft teeth. “ You certainly have your mother’s spirit,” he teased, happily ending her campaign as he swept her into hefty paws. “Not to mention her beauty, you little spit-fire. What should we name you…” He wondered aloud. She had lovely eyes, gleaming and golden against thick alabaster, sparking with spirit and life. “Keala,” he mused, testing the two syllables in his throat. “She was my cousin,” he chuckled softly. “A year older and half my height, but with a will strong enough to bend oak. No one could ever command her. Nothing could ever stand in her way. She lived her life governing herself as she first saw fit, and always knew exactly what she wanted and how to get it, and no wolf could ever tell her otherwise. Spirited to a fault,” he remarked wistfully. “She died when I was a year. Threw herself headfirst into a battle she had no chance of winning, but died as she lived, exactly on her own terms. If our child inhabit just half of her drive and lead Lubrusca with that same stubborn determination,” He paused, gently pressing his head against her own. “Then Lubrusca will live gloriously.”Tagged: Alphess Ventus

The last chortles of a gargantuan laugh still rocked through Parker's system. The look of shock on Hydran's face was just too amazing to let the laugh just die out. "You say "up there" as if you were that older than me, dude,"the pup complained, "Besides, you can't beat me on snow fights!" A returning shower of snow was sprayed onto his blonde pelt. Another laugh broke out from the near-adult as the crystalline power rained down on him once again. With his tail wagging and his grey eyes sparkling with playful joy, Parker finally rose to his paws and shook most of the new snow out of his pelt. "Dude, I'm sooo much older than you! A whole 10 months! I even have a job!" the golden male barked out, taunting the younger, similarly coloured pup playfully, "But if you really want to grow up, let's head to the hunting grounds and I can teach you some stuff. Then it's a learning game, so it's still fun!" Beckoning with his tail to the pup and dancing backwards a few steps, Parker trotted toward the hunting grounds hoping that Hydran would follow. The older male didn't return fire, he just kept laughing his ass off on the snow, as if his snow barrage wasn't happening. When the other hunter finally managed to stop laughing, he stood up and pronounced while shaking the snow off his fur: "Dude, I'm sooo much older than you! A whole 10 months! I even have a job!".With an irritated look on his face, Hydran talked back to his "superior". "As if that were that much! And we have the same job, dumbass!". Looking down to gather more snow to throw at the cream colored wolf in front of him, his target spoke up again. "But if you really want to grow up, let's head to the hunting grounds and I can teach you some stuff. Then it's a learning game, so it's still fun!". And with that, the older wolf took his leave, wagging his tail left and right. Sighing, cause deep down he really wanted a snow fight, the young hunter turned around, just to see his friend almost out of sight. Eyes wide open, the pup shouted "Parker! Wait up man!".

Cued, the duo burst into battle in a flurry of fur and large gawky limbs, their task just a foot— in the air. Unfortunately, Milo’s long, fluid leap to victory tumbled face-first towards disaster (to say nothing of the snowdrift.) Meanwhile, Maddox, forever the more coordinated of the two, had succeeded in seizing his cousin’s tail unimpaired. Instantly, fatherly instincts spurred him forwards to fish his wriggling pup from peril. Another fished him first, however, beating him in an impressively pleasing ironic twist. Lysic, Lubrusca’s future heir and his beloved pupil, had assumed his responsibilities with relish, gently flicking snow from the younger pup’s face. His heart swelled. Although he adored all of his charges- Parker, Macha, Prim –he’d always held a special soft spot for Ventus’s litter. The pups had persevered through extraordinary hardship, even in practical infancy, and yet always pushed through, regardless of the challenges they faced. It was a resiliency worth admiration. Even when faced with profound loss, they’d retained their kindness, never once losing the loveliness that’d shaped them. The duo were prime examples, and, though he’d never admit it aloud, perhaps his personal favorites. The two would be wonderful rulers in time, each wielding the same gentle sweetness Lubrusca had granted him. He couldn’t wait to witness their future. "How did you catch that squirrel? Can you teach me?" Maddox’s question stirred attention towards another topic. “He most certainly can!” Dante laughed, latching his teeth onto his ochre ears with a gentle, affectionate tug. “We’ve been practicing lately. A prodigy in the making,” he mused. It was true. Lysic was forever a favorite hunter. Not necessarily for skill, though he did have it, but rather for the innovative creativity he approached each hunt with. His half-blindness never hindered him, simply another small aspect of the obstacles necessary to achieve success. “What do you say Ly? Why don’t we give them a little demonstration? Teach ‘em how it’s done,” he quipped. “Or,” he teased, hip-bumping Devika. “You and your sister could show them a day in the life of a true Lubruscan warrior- if you’re up to the challenge, of course.” Personally, he’d prefer the sparring. A good bout was always guaranteed, but a good hunt, on the other hand, laid entirely up to chance. Besides, the siblings were sensationally entertaining, especially with each other. The pair could put on a spectacular show, but the decision to do was theirs. However, before they could ever come to a proper decision, a foreign scent filled the Common Grounds. “Maddox, Milo,” he instructed, hackles prickling. “Get back to the den.” The scent intermingled with four other familiar ones- Ebony, Parker, Hydran, and his daughter Cecilia, who’d somehow managed to sneak away since he’d seen her last –but their familiarity had failed to bring him any sense of comfort. It had been Ebony that taught him to recognize it, to be able to pinpoint that scent no matter how miniscule it might’ve been. A lone Ferus male lingered among them, a mortal enemy meeting on business they hadn’t been previously alerted of. From what he’d been previously told, they were murderers, savages, no better than the brutish rouges that slaughtered and fought simply for the sport of it, and definite cause for concern. They were the eternal bane of their existence, the destructors of the original pack, and whatever their business, it couldn’t be good. He’d never encountered one before, but he’d been instructed how. “Devika, Lysic,” he cautioned, taking one tentative step forwards in an instinctive attempt to shield the siblings. “Stay alert. Remember your training. Be ready, be responsive, but most importantly, be prepared for anything.” Hunter Devika @ebony Sentinel Hydran Beta Lysic Apprentice Maddox Scout Milo Hunting Superior Parker Scout Cecilia

Finally untangling himself from the ball of splayed limbs he found himself in, Milo watched as his older brother had a much easier time continuing through with their excellently planned prank. Maddox easily pounced onto Devika's tail with no problems at all, his stockier frame lending itself much easier to mobility than his obviously superior noodle legs. With his barking laugh finally dying down, a squirrel suddenly fell in front of his face in the snow. "Good morning everyone! I brought back a treat for you," the very familiar voice of Lysic caused the lanky pup to flip back onto his front and pop upwards in the snow. His tail waggled back and forth excitedly as the rear appendage of the older pup tapping his cranium lightly. His mouth watered at the sigh the sight of the lean meat before him, so without any further hesitation, the second born dug in, his teeth sinking into the flank meat of the spry mammal. "How did you catch that squirrel? Can you teach me?" Milo's always studious older brother questioned his practically adoptive older brother while he chowed down on the squirrel. "Mmmm!" the beige pup piped up in agreement, wanting to know how he could catch squirrels to eat off the time. Their father provided the first answer to the question, “He most certainly can! We’ve been practising lately. A prodigy in the making. What do you say, Ly? Why don’t we give them a little demonstration? Teach ‘em how it’s done? Or, teased, hip-bumping Devika, you and your sister could show them a day in the life of a true Lubruscan warrior- if you’re up to the challenge, of course." Oh now this was getting good! First, they were told that they were going to be getting their mentors today, now they might be able to learn how to hunt, or even see a fight! Well, a spar, but that was just as good! But before anything could get started, his dad shifted from loving father mode into 'I'm the big bad General of Lubrusca' mode. "Maddox, Milo, get back to the den," his tones were harsher now, not in any way angry at either of his sons, but authoritative to the tee. With a confused expression twisted onto his face, Milo chomped down on the paw of the squirrel, dragging it towards their den with an entertaining blood smear following behind him. Somehow, he managed not to trip on his paws or the squirrel on his journey Clambering back down into the hole they called home, the second oldest offered Lysic's squirrel gift to his brother and any sibling to was still in the den that hadn't gotten up yet (the lazy butts!) in case they wanted a snack. It felt like they were going to be stuck down there for a while just based on how quickly his father had snapped. "Do you want some of this? It looks like Dad's trapped us in here with the smell of our own farts until something blows over," the cheeky male piped up, his mood not being dampened by being sent to his room. @dante Apprentice Maddox Beta Lysic Hunter Devika Warrior Nascha

| Alphess Ventus of Lubrusca | Orange eyes glanced over the alabaster male that she claimed as her mate. The male that ruled by her side, collapsing with happiness from the inside out about their newborn child. She couldn’t peel the smile from her lips as she watched him as he dug his nose into her fur, taking a moment to appreciate their daughter before he pulled back, mentioning how she had her attitude. Ventus felt herself heat up with embarrassment from the comment. She had nothing very special about her, and she hadn’t a clue why Mochi had taken an interest in her. She was the mother of three pups whom had barely survived under her care, and then she was a broken mess as two of her children were murdered by the fire that ravaged the territory. And now she had started all over with another one, hoping that maybe she would be the most successful pup Ventus would have. And this time, she wouldn’t have to raise her alone.
Mochi uttered a name that was beautifully spoken. The concept of the name was explained, and she couldn’t help but smile with how thoughtful the name was for their child. Looking towards her mate with teary eyes, she stood up gently, letting the newborn rest on the floor before she approached her mate and gave him a gentle lick on the cheek before snuggling up against him, looking towards their own pup wiggle her way towards Ventus’ paws. She went immediately for Ventus’ stomach. Giggling a little, she nudged the pup, looking towards her mate with a loving gaze. This was the perfect little family that she had hoped for.
But it seemed that she would not be able to enjoy the moment very long, as the wind brought alarm into her den. The scent of Ferus strong on the wind, and it brought her panic. What would they need from them now? They had to ruin the perfect moment. Sitting up, she looked towards the small being, knowing that she could not leave her there without supervision. Especially if they were going to be gone for a rather long time with the possibility of an elongated conversation with the Ferus Alpha or one of his lackeys. Looking towards Mochi, she glanced back to Keala. “I can’t leave her here alone, I don’t trust what Ferus has planned,” She whispered to her mate, picking up her pup by the scruff. She was old enough to withstand the cold, especially if Ventus kept her close. She would pass her off to Lysic to care for, thus breaking her secret from the pack, but right now was not a good time to even be doing that.
Starting out of the den, she briskly walked towards the common area that they gathered in, seeing that Devika and Lysic were gathered there, giving her some relief of sorts. Looking towards her two older pups, heading their way with the little bundle crying in her jaws. Placing the small pup at her daughter’s feet she looked towards her. “I will explain later. Protect her,” She said with a demanding tone. Looking towards where the Ferus scent was coming from, she waited patiently, hoping that her mate had followed her, and was there to back her up. With Dante already on guard and having sent his pups away, she was waiting on her Beta to be there, along with some of the older male juveniles that had disappeared. | OOC: @mochi @dante Beta Lysic Hunter Devika @flint @kai

As Nascha and Dante pad over she tugs her attention away from Prim and Cece, a genuine smile on her face as her tail begins to softly wag. “Good morning, you two!” Cheery tones pour from her lips as she plants an affectionate lick atop her favorite puppy’s head. Hope your brothers got a good night’s rest. You’ll be sparring - why don’t you show ‘em how it’s done? Her nose wrinkles as she shoots him the stink eye, though it’s clear to everyone that it’s in jest. “You know how I hate fighting, Dante.” What she meant to come out as ‘mature’ reprimand actually emerges as a bit of a whine. She knew that with her large physique she should be reveling in all things physical, but the idea of hurting someone was entirely unappealing to the lupess. However, the frost kissed babe knew that she should be trying to get over this aversion. She had heard stories of the war that had felled her father, and so many others. Her green gaze shifts to the pups frolicking about various parts of the clearing. I could fight, for them, she thinks to herself faintly. Shaking her head as if to clear such thoughts from her head, she hears a soft whump behind her, followed by the feeling of tiny paws pinning her tail to the ground. With an exaggerated expression of betrayal, she bellows out a dramatic cry of “ An ambush!” Before sweeping her tail across the ground hard enough to splash both Maddox and Milo with a spray of snow. Pushing herself to her paws, she shoves her broad shoulder against Dante’s in mock aggression, teeth bared - though it admittedly comes out looking more like a happy grin. “ Traitor! Turning your kiddos against me is a low move.” However, what she was planning on turning into a truly inspiring play-fight is interrupted as her brother approaches, with his own spray of snow for her. “ Lysic, I will sit on you.” She threatens, though cannot help but push an affectionate nuzzle into his flank. All of her litter had been there to support one another these last few months, but whenever one of them fumbled Lysic had been there to help them back to their feet. He was, and would remain, a source of comfort to the she wolf. As he nudges her, she nips playfully at his ear. “ Just wait until summer returns; you’ll be able to see me from clear across the territory.” She giggles, childlike joy in her expression. Before she can really get into a conversation with her brother, her attention is grabbed by the returning scents of Ebony, Parker, Hydran, and...CeCe? She feels a sharp flash of guilt; how had she not seen the little girl leave? However, such worries evaporate as her nose registers another wolf following in their wake - and she knows immediately from Dante’s sudden change in demeanor that this visitor was not a friend. Hardly a moment passes before Dante is sending Milo and Maddox back to the den, stance turned defensive. This stranger smelled of old blood and pack, and she knows without being told that he must be Ferus. Who else would be entitled to their camp? As mild anxiety runs rampant in her mind, the lupess allows Dante’s words to steady her. Stay alert. Remember your training. Be ready, be responsive, but most importantly, be prepared for anything. She nods her assent. However, her attention is soon grabbed by her mother and Mochi emerging from the den, and once she sees the bundle being carried, her heart melts. The little bundle placed in front of her smells like warmth and milk, and she hardly registers Ventus’s words as she dips her head to nose gently at the puppy’s flank in an attempt to cease its mewling. What a happy little surprise appearing at such an inopportune time! Within moments of the new sister’s presence, Devika is in love. Protect... her mind slowly registers the words that Ventus had uttered so firmly to her, and without conscious thought she had moved to stand over the pup, almost shielding her completely. The adolescent lupess had never looked more like her father, thick fur raised to increase her size and jade eyes carefully narrowed. And - for the first time in her young life - her teeth are bared in what is unmistakably a snarl. She would protect this pup.
OOC: So I’m really excited to finally make the “turns into a devil to protect her family” part of her personality a reality! Let the fun begin Beta Lysic Alphess Ventus @mochi Sentinel Hydran @ebony @flint @dante Hunting Superior Parker @whoeverelse

Trying to push the fact that a member of Ferus was following him back to their adoptive common grounds, Parker tried to add some pep back into his step as he trudged back home, but not too much pep that it would hurt the pup dangling from his maw. Cecilia had made the journey easy for him by just remaining limp, not putting up much of a struggle when it came to being carried by the older male. The girl was just the sweetest thing, it brought some joy back into the forefront of the yearling's mind rather than the fury that the skinny male behind them brought him. As the small band of wolves returned to the commons, Parker noticed Dante's immediately prickling, the General's reaction similar to his own upon scenting the Ferus male. With her brother's being rushed into their den Parker made a beeline for the same place, depositing the little angel down with a smile before he nudged her gently with his snout into the den. With Hydran likely close by, the blonde male trotted over to the on edge General, taking up a position beside him facing the Ferus male with an undisguised scowl. "He says he's only here to talk to Ventus about some sort of external threat, but I don't trust him fully," the male muttered to the General before the Alphess herself delivered a surprise to her daughter. Just the smallest scrap of white, blending almost as seamlessly with snow as Devika did was suddenly revealed to the world. This sudden appearance of what seemed to be the youngest member of the pack sparked both Devika and himself into a much more protective mode. Now that there was so much more to protect, the usually jovial hunter hardened his stance and his gaze towards the cinnamon male in the commons. Whatever this male had to do with Lubrusca would be under heavy surveillance from himself, the General, from the Alphess' children, and likely her mate too. There would be no funny business on Parker's watch, not this time. @dante @flint Sentinel Hydran Hunter Devika @ebony Alphess Ventus @mochi@lysic

The group had finally made their way into the zone 'round the river. Bunch of them were already present, The General, Devika, Lysic, even some of the pups. With the stranger's scent, the adults flinched and prepared. So much trouble, for this guy?. Looking at the "guy" he had referred to, he didn't look so intimidating. Slim, small, with a pretty coat of fur. Honestly, this dude looked more like a female than anything. Pretty sure Milo could take him.... According to Parker, the wolf from Ferus had come by to talk with his mom about some "External Threat". Hydran had absolutely no clue as to what his fellow hunter meant, but he trusted his friend, and his pack. If they hadn't torn this guy to shreds, he shouldn't really be on any level of a threat, at least not for now. Out of the blue, the Alphess, or what the crossed breed preferred to call her, Mom stepped into the scene. Hydran was about to greet his maker, when he noticed the small body dangling from her progenitor's jaws. Placing the pup on the ground, Ventus stormed out to "deal" with the issue, ordering Devika to protect the little one. Dumbfounded, Hydran just looked at the cute thingie, tilting his head to the side in confusion. Getting a bit closer to the giant girl, the young hunter spoke. "Sis, did mom have another kid?".

PUP CECILIA OF LUBRUSCA
Cecilia remained calm while Parker carried her back home. However, she was not done exploring and as soon as she was deposited in front of her den and nudged to go inside she turned around and went back outside. She was not going inside that den with all her siblings there. Too many bodies and not enough room to breath. She remained by the entrance, however, and stayed laying down in the snow to hide her form.
What had her ears perking forward though was a white bundle underneath her cousin Devika. The small bundle moved again and she swore she saw ears. Slowly the realization registered in her mind that the white form was a tiny pup. Warmness spread through her chest as she saw the tiny thing squirmed.
The cold seeped into Cecilia’s stomach and she thought for a moment. If she was already cold then the tiny pup must also be cold. She needed to stay warm, that's what Cecilia’s instinct told her. Standing up, she tried her hardest to sneak over to Devika and underneath the white she-wolf.
Ignoring the adults, Cecilia moved her tiny body around the tinier form of the white princess. White Princess, the thought had Cecilia smiling to herself, loving the new nickname she gave the new pup. She hoped one-day they would be friends. Or at least friends enough for the shy pup.

With narrowed eyes, Parker stared down the taupe male staining the pearl covering of the adopted common grounds. He didn't personally know the male, but an instinct driven into him by his first few months in Lubrusca solidified his stance. What was there to like about the male anyway? If he had come from Ferus as the undertones of his scent indicated, there was nothing good he could bring to Lubrusca. All the desert pack had ever brought them was death. With the tiny bundle tucked under Devika, it was even more important to get the male out of the commons as fast as possible. It seemed that instead of realizing the threat, the bundle he had dropped off at the mouth of the den had wriggled out, Cecilia's form resting next to the unnamed pup that Ventus had dropped off. The young hunter shifted slightly, using plush blonde fur to hide both the Alphess' pup and Dante's. Hydran's question to his sister something that Parker honestly wanted to know; the pup had to come from somewhere, most likely from Ventus, but if that was the case how had no one noticed? An entirely new life had been brought into the world, but seemingly no one had known but Ventus. As thoughts swirled through his head, Parker kept one ear out for Devika's response, the other ear and both eyes set firmly on the Ferus male and on whatever he wanted from Ventus.
