THE EXCHANGE | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Fog surrounds you, the humidity clinging to your fur as you attempt to maneuver through the macabre woodland. Small thorns from the dead bushes prickle at your pads, such an uncomfortable feeling. This place gives you the chills, perhaps you made a wrong turn? No, you followed all the signs labeled "Candy Exchange" yet it was bizarre that each was followed by a sign written "Danger." You shake off the nagging feeling of being watched, recalling the events that led you here. You completed quests from Violet and Azaelia, receiving the sweets you desperately desired. You remember as if it was yesterday, your ears perked as the two she-wolves informed you that you could exchange the bloody sweets for something better. Your paws continue to tread through lifeless foliage, eyes frantically scanning for any signs of life. There, a rustle of leaves to your right. Caw! Your body instinctively jerks backward as a crow charges at you, flapping it's ebony wings as if death was in tow. A little bit of doubt creeps back into your mind, perhaps the two deceived you. However, being stubborn you push on, the prospect of earning bones and prizes becoming the reason for your stupid courage. If that's what you want to call it. The haziness thickens up to the point in which you cannot see three feet ahead. Oops, a sharp agony strikes your front left ankle. Out of surprise, your front two legs buckle, sending you tumbling down onto the cold terrain. What did you trip on? Regaining your bearings, you tilt your head to get a look at the random object. Perhaps you shouldn't have looked. A rather large wolf skull stands in the place, what an unlucky fellow. You had suspicions about this place, but now you gain an unbearable urge to flight. If a wolf with that massive of a skull was dead, whatever got to him could get to you. Maybe it was already too late, a loud cackle rang across the once dead terrain. You knew that voice, you feared that voice. Your body struggles to scramble up as the sound of paw-steps becomes more prominent. Run. RUN. With your chest heaving as you attempt to escape the terror, you feel as if you're being herded into a particular direction. Another cackle breaks out to your right, suddenly feeling a contact on your shoulder you're sent tumbling into the ground. One roll, two rolls, three rolls. On the fourth your body stops, wearily you bring your head up to look at your attacker. A well deserved whimper escapes your maw, still attempting to take in what you see. Not him. Adramalech. His black pupiless eyes alone give pups nightmares, and you're supposed to confront the male while he sits almost completely motionless, blood dripping from his fur as if he were bleeding, but he looked untouched. Was that the blood of previous encounters? Who knows. All you know is that you're terrified of the hulking male before you. Does he want your candy? You were so busy taking in that this might be your death to realize that your rolls stopped right outside a dark cave. Although afraid to take your eyes off the wolf, curiosity surges and you allow your eyes to wonder to the cave. Inside, piles of bones and antiquities rested, along with scrolls that could change a wolf's eye color and add markings. But perhaps today is the day you die, at least that's what it seems like. There you go, adjust your eyes to the darkness so you won’t trip again. Do it now, because if you don't you might just end up as his midnight snack. Make sure you have the correct amount of candy, he doesn't like being tricked. You wouldn't even see it coming - but you would feel it. Ah, yes. You doubt it? Well, don't. He would tear into your flesh in a split second, savoring the metallic taste of your succulent blood. Get up, he won't bite. That was a lie by the way. Go on, scramble towards the demonic looking male. Wolves say that he can sense your fear, want to test the theory? Can't you feel his eerie gaze analyzing you as if you were a piece of meat? You are. Maybe you should give him your candy instead, after all they are blood flavored. You want something in exchange? Ask, if you dare. Halloween Items
