| Alpha Jay of Ferus
Jay's ear twitched as Aspen gave her analysis. His jade green eyes swept over the area, taking in her observations. The smell of Lubrusca was here, but it was of a singular wolf. It made him wonder what a single Lubruscan wolf was doing at his borders, and he would need to ask his Hunting Superior, as it seemed that he could possibly have something to do with that. After all, the male had been in Lubrusca territory for much longer than Jay had anticipated. The Hunting Superior piped up soon enough, explaining what she was doing. He wondered why Ventus would want to help dead Ferus wolves return home, especially after all the devastation the pack had brought upon her land. Maybe it was simply so Ferus would leave Lubrusca alone, or maybe she had an ulterior motive. To spy and see if their ranks were weaker and if they could push Ferus out of Lubrusca territory. He would most definitely have to reinforce their patrols through the Lubrusca territory just to make sure they don't look weaker. Bringing his attention towards Flint, he listened to what the male said, looking at what he had gathered as a clue from the bodies. Jay was skeptical at first of how Flint had analyzed the crime scene. Of course, the male was just stating facts, but with the presence of this 'Kai' on his borders, he was most definitely concerned with Flint's relations with Lubrusca. But he knew that there needed to be some investigation into the death of three of his wolves. There was definitely something larger happening, and Ferus was quite possibly the first pack for that to happen too. He didn't care much for other packs, but he didn't want war waged against Ferus, especially not right now when Semira and him had just proclaimed their mateship. Glancing towards the wolves around him, his dwindling pack needed some boosting in training, as well as new, fresh blood. Jay approached Flint, his face rather close to the black males. "You're free to go. However if I find out that you're having relations with a certain pack wolf, you don't want to know how I'll react," Jay said, green eyes cutting into the black wolf. He didn't want any pack relations between Lubrusca and Ferus. The other pack would already know of the death of Xanthe and Pandora, they didn't need to be intertwined anymore with the possibility of a litter being born of mixed pack blood. Jay was skeptical indeed, but if Flint were to betray his pack, there would be dire consequences that would follow. Withdrawing from Flint's presence, Jay turned to Aspen, giving her a nod. "You've done well on analyzing. I'll make sure to put my trust in you more," He said, the praise being something that was not common among Ferus. But she deserved the praise, especially since she had the spitfire attitude to stand up to a superior.

| As Solex stated that Oshim's body was missing, the snarky reply of Aspen was sure to follow. The male simply glared at her, silver pools taking a chance to bore into her one eye. The she-wolf had spunk to her, he would give her that. Speaking up to him was something most wolves hesitated to do, but she offered no hesitation to snapping her words towards him. Flicking his black tail, he listened to what she had to say, looking over her with a small sense of pride that he had picked a wolf that was semi-capable of providing a proper analysis. She had overlooked Kurumi, but seeing as the pitiful she-wolf was barely alive, almost anyone would overlook that travesty. Disregarding the body that was laying there, he turned towards where Sakia's scent disappeared. "She definitely would have put up a fight. But with how things are already, I'm sure it was futile," He whispered, not caring if Aspen had heard him or not. The scent of Ferus started to flow over the clearing as wolves appeared. Azazel was the first to appear, approaching Kurumi's dying body.
Solex wasn't sure why the male cared so much, but it seemed that he was debating whether to put the she-wolf out of her misery. There was no way Solex could save her, so she would instead need to be killed. She was of no use to the pack with her intestines spilled all over the floor, Solex didn't have the powers to put them back inside Kurumi and magically have her put back together. She was dead for all he cared. Removing his eyes from the two, he peered up to see that Jay, their oh-so stupid Alpha was finally making a grand entrance. The male first approached Azazel, giving the male permission to kill Kurumi he assumed. Of course the Alpha would not get his own paws dirty. Silver irises watched as Azazel lowered his head to Kurumi's neck and snapped it, the she-wolf's flank falling still. His ear twitched slightly, listening to Jay address Aspen. Solex preferred that he didn't talk to the Alpha too much, so instead he would listen patiently to what Aspen was saying.
The she-wolf was accurate with everything she stated, and mentioning the Lubrusca scent was something that Solex wanted to interject about it and state that there was nothing to worry with that, but it seemed Aspen had already done so. Placing his rump on the ground, his presence still within the circle that had formed between himself, Jay and Aspen, he watched as Flint appeared and interrupted the conversation, providing some evidence as to who had killed the Ferus Pack members, but it seemed he was jumping to the Lubrusca wolf's defense. He saw a small red flag fly up at his statements about the wolves. Solex knew that he would only defend a Lubrusca wolf if he were having relations with her, or something of the like. Lubrusca knew of the deathes of two pack members, and if the wolf had come all the way to the borders, the she-wolf would report to her Alpha that they indeed had more casualties on their paws. The thought made Solex's skin prickle, knowing that Jay should take note of this, but he would patiently wait to bring it up to the multi-colored wolf. Twitching his ears, it seemed that Dis had approached the scene as well, and not too long behind her was Dawn.
Catching a glimpse of the she-wolf that was latter mentioned, she noticed that she hovering near the bodies of the intact Ferus members that were killed during the hunt. He had not seen the she-wolf develop many relationships within the pack, and most would think she was like Solex, keeping to herself mostly. But emotions radiated from the stance that she took. She was mourning. Pandora was not her target of sadness however. The Delta was a new member to Ferus, and although strong, had not formed many friendships besides that with Azriel. But Xanthe, the ex-crush of Jay and the she-wolf who had been with Ferus for the longest time, and had left her presence to the outskirts of the pack. He knew that she had made some friend within the pack, and Solex wondered how Semira had felt about the she-wolf. Xanthe had been the target of Jay's affections for some time, leaving Semira out of the spotlight. But with the death of the she-wolf, he wondered if Semira would still mourn her death.
As he pondered, he had caught the movement of the Alpha towards the Hunting Superior with no trouble at all. He couldn't make out what was being whispered, but he knew that the Alpha had noticed Flint's defense for the Lubrusca she-wolf. If he hadn't then Solex would feel a little less confident that their Alpha was simply sending the black male away to get frisky with a wolf from an opposing pack. Listening to the praise Aspen recieved, Solex rolled his eyes, simply not saying anything for the moment, but instead just staring at the scene that was before him. Now that most of the Ferus wolves were here, they would need to take advantage of the lingering scents of the rogues before they disappeared under the strong musk of Ferus once more.

| As the male waited, his thoughts traveled through memories and thoughts that had not surfaced since he had last seen Franscesca. He hoped that she was doing okay, and that the male she had been with was taking good care of her. His thoughts were soon interrupted by the Alpha whom approached. He took one glance over Kurumi, and gave Azazel the answer that he had been waiting for. He would be the one to put her out of her misery. Glancing towards Jay with dull yellow eyes, he simply gave a nod, turning his attention back to the hardly breathing she-wolf. She had barely made her presence known within Ferus before she was killed, but that was the way of life here. She was not strong enough to survive, and thus she was now being killed by one of her own pack members. Someone had done most of the work, but it still made sense that one of her own would put her out of her misery because she couldn't defend their borders. Lowering his muzzle down to her neck, he opened his jaws to wrap them around her neck.
He took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of blood, it gave him just enough to quickly snap her neck, the resounding crack as her body went limp told him that she was dead. She was gone and now her body would be left there or drug back to where they would bury her. He would prefer to not move her from her spot. Her organs were everywhere, and it would take more effort to move her than to simply leave her there for the vultures to scavenge. But that would be left up the Alpha. Turning his attention towards the male himself, he seemed to be speaking with the other wolves. Aspen was obviously snapping at Flint, whom was the witness to the crime. Azazel wasn't sure what the male was proposing, but with the whispered words between the Hunting Superior and Alpha made him wonder what exactly was being said. But it was not the General's business, and he would keep to himself.
Scanning the clearing, he noticed that Dawn was peering at what could quite possibly be the dead bodies of their fallen pack mates that had been trampled to death. Given that he had no one else to interact with, he brought himself to stand, approaching Dawn in a slow and careful manner. He caught what she said, listening to her words as she spoke. "Most would think it less than noble," He spoke, his first sentence coming out slightly more demeaning than usual. "But in the face of sorrow, it's okay to cry," He said to her, coming to sit next to her. "If you would like to mourn by yourself I will leave you. But I'm offering my presence as a barrier between you and the rest of the pack so you may mourn in peace," Azazel knew death was unexpected, and it took those that you cared for swiftly without any warning. | OOC: @dawn |

| ALPHESS SEMIRA OF FERUS Semira shuffled along the barren land, each pawstep a sore reminder of the drought. Indifference affixed itself onto the Alphess’ features as she surveyed the blood stained land before her. Lovely. Quirking her head ever so slightly, the stocky bitch tread carefully into the crux of the scene, each step carefully calculated - not only to avoid stepping in the revolting mess. Each spot of blood carried three sickeningly familiar scents, two Omegas and the Scout. Scoffing, the dame deftly pressed a whisk of sorrel fur - presumably Kurumi’s - to the side, padding quietly along one muddled scent in particular. Five wolves obviously accompanied the land at the time of attack, two were either Rogues, or an unidentified pack. Lubrusca was surely not smart, nor strong, enough to conduct an attack such as this. With a placid expression, Semira stalked closer to her pack members, taking a brief headcount as she did so. The guilty party no longer resided in this area, even still, precautions were necessary. “There is a Lubruscan scent, but it's not close to this area, and I know the wolf. She's too crippled to pull anything even close to this off. There's the scent of a pair of rogues, and it's fresh. I'd say it would more likely for them to have done this.” Hellfire orbs wavered, an annoyance stinging the alphess. The latter portion of the Hunter’s speech was easy to agree to, but the beginning was so deliciously ironic. Numbly, the Alphess shook her head in response to the bitch’s drawl. Even more so to Flint’s reply. "I will fucking murder you," Turning her cranium to stare at Aspen with a venomous glare, Semira stood, a singular lash of an ebony flag. “By all means, do it. I don’t think this border has enough blood.” Semira spat, tone rasped and dry, thick with sarcasm. How could two respectable wolves be so mind-numbingly idiotic? The two, clashing with blade sharp wit, seemling always found something to aggravate another. “You two are warriors, not bickering pups. Act like it.” Each syllable found a new depth of boredom, each syllable that flipped from the two member's maws only furthering the Alphess' annoyance. “I doubt that the Lubrusca had anything to do with this attack,” The onyx dame looked sullenly over the territory. “Unless they suddenly gained the brains to mask their scents - not to mention the brawn - to actually pull this off, the fault is at the hands of a Rogue gang, or a new pack.” Semira looked to Flint next, annoyed hues briskly sweeping over his form. There was no need to take after her mate, who muted the words he muttered to the Hunting Superior. “I expect you to approach this in a purely professional manner. If I am to hear of anything but, I will personally ensure that you can kiss this pack goodbye.” Huffing, Semira trudged closer to her mate, awaiting the final departure of the Hunting Superior. |

It seemed that the momentary peace that the Alphess and the bitch had was shattered with a puff of wind. "By all means, do it. I don't think this border has enough blood." The more familiar annoyed tones of the ex-Sentinel grated her ears, causing a single grey eye to roll to her direction, "You two are warriors, not bickering pups. Act like it." Sucking in a deep inhale, Aspen lowered one of her front paws, an overexaggerated bow towards the Alphess as she muttered, "Of course. My apologies." With that, Aspen returned to her standing position. "I doubt that Lubrusca had anything to do with this attack. Unless they suddenly gained the brains to mask their scents - not to mention the brawn - to actually pull this off, the fault is at the hands of a Rogue gang, or a new pack,” It seemed like all of the wolves speculating seemed to just go around in circles, repeating the same things over and over. It was entertaining, however, to see the superiors chew out Flint for mentioning that bag of bones that was Kai. However, the Alpha's attention was soon turned on her. "You've done well on analyzing. I'll make sure to put my trust in you more," the words of praise were welcome, but actually receiving them felt odd. Ferus wolves weren't often praised, let alone by the Alpha. A small nod of gratitude was directed towards the oaken male, before Aspen could practically taste the indifference radiating from the Salutary next to her. With a huff, she thwacked her tail against the male's legs with as much force she could generate without breaking her tail on impact before sitting down and tucking her plumage up beside her. She let the pain in her tail throb and subside as she waited to see what Jay would do with the mess at his borders. Salutary Solex Alpha Jay Alphess Semira @flint @therestofy'allattheborders

One thinly veiled threat did little to discourage him from having fun at the alabaster she-wolf’s expense; a sharp, furious snarl promising all pledges of death and destruction were, in fact, inevitable. A short, amused huff passed between puce nostrils. Course, angered curses were all but an invitation to play, paving the pathway for a beautiful, fleeting bit of banter to subtly test the waters. “You wish you could,” he whispered, alight with a cheeky air. As if she could have possibly hoped to kill him. In every endeavor, was he not the brains of the operation, the stringent brilliant strategist? And with sparring, with hunting, with every ordered event, was she not simply excess muscle? Additionally, he’d an extra year and a half, her entire lifetime’s time worth, stocked with training. She had a ways to go before she’d break his neck, but he’d await her attempts in earnest. "Great job throwing your girlfriend into the fire there, Flintie.” She hissed softly. “Confirming that Lubrusca was on our territory is just what Ferus wants to hear." Languidly, he looked over; a sly, coy smile curling his lips. “And I suppose you would rather lie to Ferus? Tsk, tsk, Aspen, you’ll never kill me with that sort of good sense.”The Alpha had regarded his advice seemingly without a word registering, too preoccupied with the word ‘Lubrusca’ to comprehend another small, tiny shred of evidence. Flint suppressed a soft, frustrated snarl. Was Jay’s brain so minutely small that he’d lost hope of glimpsing anything beyond his brute idiocrasy? It was as if his lone ear was only capable of comprehend one word at a time, failing to file all others. Lubrusca had launched an incredible attack on the male’s narrow mind, slashing each sentence to pulp, all traces of tangible assumption annihilated upon arrival. It was infuriating. For one fantastic moment, he dreamt about shoving the slips of fur he’d found down his throat just so he’d support their existence. "You're free to go,” Jay dismissed him, dually hovering a tad close for the Ferus male’s personal liking. “However, if I find out that you're having relations with a certain pack wolf,” he cautioned with a snarl. “You don't want to know how I'll react." The opportunity was golden. “Of course, Sir!” He rang cheerily. “ She’s lovely, but Semira’s never been quite my type of gal. I must try my best not to tempt her though.” All lay in good fun. Semira, as Sentinel, had always held a particular fondness towards him and his quips, which hopefully, would ring true in the face of a potentially angered mate. The risk was entirely worth it. Or was it? “I expect you to approach this in a purely professional manner.” Semira reproached sharply. ”If I am to hear of anything but, I will personally ensure that you can kiss this pack goodbye.” How funny, how Aspen had been the one to first jump to launching threats, and yet he received full reprimanding. Ferus always had a problem with favoritism, but that was simply part of playing the game, wasn’t it? Here, the strong and the charming would always walk far. He simply had to appeal to her better nature. She’d liked him for his humor, which he’d wielded always in private, but now, with a new mate and rank, it seemed that she’d prefer smarts over anything. So, why not combine the best of both his worlds? Comedy and cleverness each walked a lithe, delicate line, but if he played well and balanced accordingly, he could sway her to his side. He was all too acquainted with the fact that out of all Ferus’s Superiors, she was the one that favored him most. If there was any hope of him making progress with their case, she would pave the path to it. All he would have to do is walk it carefully. “I like professional. Let’s talk professional.” He quipped, his voice holding the same chipper, snappy tone he’d previously held when banting with Sem. “The fact is, you and I are both aware that the yearling is, most likely, very much alive. However, she may not be for long. So why do we care? I say we let her die.” A low, cruel laugh passed between parted jaws. “However, we all know that’s only the picture at hand. You want my professional opinion? Here it is. We’ve established ourselves as the strongest of the packs, and yet those wolves swatted three of our own like flies. What exact message do you think that sends, that two rouges can just casually enter guarded borders and kill at their own leisure? Mark my words,” he cautioned. “If this is an organized group, we have branded ourselves for a future disaster. At any rate, if Sakia isn’t worth it, gaining information on them is. If you send me, I can gather as much intel as I can, while their trail is fresh. If you’d like, I can also manage a brief Lubruscan visit to quell our suspicions. You shouldn’t worry Semira, Jay - I will demand to speak only with Beta Ebony to avoid temptations. That crippled, three-legged look is completely irresistible these days, don’t you think?” He teased, springing to his paws with a somber, more serious undertone. “Their trail is growing colder as we speak. A decision must be made. Your thoughts?”Hunter Aspen, General Azazel, @dawn, @dis, Alpha Jay, Alphess Semira, Salutary Solex

Dawn didn’t know how long she had been sat there, when she felt someone come up besides her. A dark shadow visible at the corner of her eye, out of the two big scary giants of the pack she hoped it wasn’t Azazel. It was.Her body froze as she acknowledged his presence, only ears would move as they shifted uncomfortably. "Most would think it less than noble,"She had expected to be scolded for sitting aside while the rest of the pack worked. Completely overlooking the fact that he had been answering her question, rather than reprehending her. Her brain was overworking itself, buzzing with emotion, she struggled to keep it hidden, her skull wrenched itself to the side to look away, the she-wolf about to mouth an apology when his next words took her off guard. "But in the face of sorrow, it's okay to cry, if you would like to mourn by yourself I will leave you. But I'm offering my presence as a barrier between you and the rest of the pack so you may mourn in peace,"Dawn froze again. But this time for a different reason. Her head slowly rotated back to look at him. Orbs like the muddy forest floor studied his gaze for no longer then a few seconds. Trying to come to terms with what he had just said. She looked away. Staring ahead she finally formed a sentence. ”Thank you Azazel.” She stated sincerely. “But I don’t think Jay would find my mourning very productive.” She mustered a cautious chuckle in his presence, before falling into an awkward silence. “I’m very sorry about your sister.” Her words were blurted out suddenly. Still looking ahead, she glanced at him by the corner of her eye before looking away again. Dawn hadn’t had the chance to really give her condolences concerning his long gone sister. But in truth, in Ferus you didn’t give condolences. And yet here he was offering her a chance to mourn. She felt she was obliged to return the favor. For whether she was in Ferus or not. In Dawn’s mind, there is always such thing as common courtesy.

Jay looked towards his mate as she spoke to Flint as well. It seemed that she trying to keep her calm, but the male wasn't exactly one that could provoke a calm demeanor. The words that Flint spoke were uttered to get underneath their skin, to make them react. And it did everything Flint wanted it to do. Jay was already growing rather angry with the male, and with his words towards Semira and himself, he couldn't help but let a low growl come from his lips. "If this is an organized group, we have branded ourselves for a future disaster. That crippled, three-legged look is completely irresistible these days, don’t you think?” Although Jay hardly wanted to believe the male was going to talk to Ebony, the Beta of Lubrusca, he still felt like he couldn't trust Flint in the matter of being in Lubrusca's presence. As Flint stated that the trail was starting to grow colder, the male looked towards his mate, knowing that they had no choice but to send the male, and have him retrieve any useful information that he could. Looking over the black female, green eyes were full of hesitance as he moved his attention towards Flint. "Go. Before I rip that head of yours off," Jay growled towards the male dismissing him from the scene and thus removing himself from the conversation. Looking towards Semira, he gave her a nod. Making sure that he gave her a lick across the cheek in hopes that she would not coil and nip at him, he turned towards the rest of the pack. "Work needs to be done and we have seen what has happened here. Prepare yourselves for the coming months, and make sure none of you adventure off alone," He barked, looking towards where the dead bodies of previous pack members lie. Azazel and Dawn were over there, so he thought it would be fitting to put them to the task. "Azazel and Dawn, if you could please bury the bodies of the pack members who died in Lubruscan territory," He gave a curt nod their way, knowing that Dawn was quite possibly mourning. Azazel would have no reason too. "The rest of you head back to the commons and find something productive to do."-Exit-

| The female appeared to be scared at his first approach. Which anyone in the pack would have the rightful reaction too. He had been introduced into the pack by a sister who did nothing but kill and destroy. He was introduced as the strong brother who could win a fight at any time. He could see where the fear resonated. But at the offer of his words, she seemed to be surprised. It wasn't often that the pack's meanest wolf approached and offered their condolences as well as kind words. He himself didn't know where it had come from, but he felt compelled to at least give her some sort of offering. They lived together after all.
As she spoke of Jay not finding it productive for her to be mourning, he gave a shake of his head, knowing that the Alpha portrayed himself to be much tougher than he actually was. But Azazel knew that Jay was the Alpha, and they would need to listen to him. Flicking his ears, he listened to Dawn's sudden outburst about his sister. He was taken aback. Honestly he thought that most wolves would not feel sorry for him, and instead would be glad that the demonic she-wolf was gone. Sure, Dawn could still feel that way about his sister disappearing, but he knew that at least with what she said, she felt even a little bit of sorrow for him at least, which was... refreshing. His shoulders drooped slightly, his tail flicking behind him as he thought about his half-sister. "Thank you. She wasn't much for pack life. Especially when things got too boring for her," He stated, looking towards Dawn with a small shrug. "I could never get her to stay, especially if she was bored," Azazel smiled slightly at the thought of when they were younger and he had tried persuading her. They had at one point acted like normal siblings to say the least. But now she was gone, and he was not willing to chase her any longer.
Attention divided from the smaller she-wolf next to him, he looked towards Jay who had called out his name, as well as Dawn's. As the male spoke to them about burying the bodies, he only gave a nod to his Alpha before he stood up, looking towards Dawn without any words and moving past the dead bodies, where he started to dig holes large enough and deep enough for the bodies. He would do all the work himself if Dawn didn't want to help. Knowing her however, she would most definitely help. He started on Pandora's first since she was larger than Xanthe. They would need to build three for the bodies at the borders. As he finished up Pandora's grave, he started on Kurumi's. He would hope that Dawn would make Xanthe's, since it seemed that she cared for the she-wolf the most. After finishing up Kurumi's grave, he grabbed Pandora by the scruff and let her body fall into the grave he had dug. Once she was in, he took the dirt that was splayed about from his digging and slowly buried her.
Deciding however, that plain dirt was not enough for the burial, he took a moment to search around for something to put on top. He found dried ferns and some flowers that were growing. Deciding that those would be enough to place on top of each grave, he brought everything he gathered over. Trudging over to Kurumi's body, the male picked her up gently, making sure that her intestines did not tear as much as possible on the trip to her grave. Once her and her dislodged organs were in the grave, he buried and place the same ferns and flowers on top. Looking towards Dawn, he would wait patiently for the she-wolf. "Take all the time you need to mourn." | OOC: @dawn |

| ALPHESS SEMIRA OF FERUS
Looking indifferently toward the alabaster cyclops, Semira scowled as long limbs stretched in an exaggerated bow. Ignoring the female’s apologetic drawl, the Alphess affixed her gaze on something significantly more interesting; the Hunting Superior. “She’s lovely, but Semira’s never been quite my type of gal. I must try my best not to tempt her though.” Arching a singular brow, a loose scoff left a thin ebony maw. Leave it to Flint to sum up humor in such dire situations. Alas, the strict pack needed the light; as inappropriate as it may seem. Though, easing stress and pain tended to be a trait commonly found in Omegas. Suppressing a grin, amber orbs found Flint’s in a knowing light. Chuckling lowly, the lupess shrugged knotted shoulders stiffly. “I assure you, my standards would never stoop so low.” As the Lead Hunter began his speech, Semira shifted her weight to lean lightly on her mate, taking solace in the male’s scent. The brute’s concepts were interesting to say the least, and most definitely held some promise. Of all things, the male’s intelligence was superior to most within Ferus; which, admittedly, aided in the Alphess’ likening toward him. As her mate gave the final order toward Flint, Semira nodded in grudging agreement. Her faith in the male was minimal. She didn’t doubt that he would return alive, no no, she doubted he would return without breaking his previous promise. Returning her mate’s affection, Semira stretched out bulky limbs, watching keenly as Flint presumably began to saunter off. Swiping the back of the oaken Alpha’s paws with her tail, Semira nodded toward flint before padding over, a quick word. As he began to walk, Semira would fall in line alongside him. “The pup,” She sighed, voice lowered. “If she is to be alive, ensure she does not forget the pack that took her in.” Hellfire gaze hardening, she paused in her tracks. “Our hospitality is not to be taken for granted.” .:. Typically, agitation tended not to be the best tactic in swaying a superior’s favor. Jay was the exception. Provoking Jay’s patience, enough to evoke his already limited attention but not to send him seething, was a practiced art he’d accustomed himself to. The key, as in all else, was finding the correct balance. He phrased his speech so that each word exemplified virtually everything Jay despised within his wolves: arrogance, smugness, attitude. Each trait embodied a different aspect of what made warriors mediocre; petty, deep-set peeves that’d be sure to seal Jay’s focus. A low, agitated growl hissed through his teeth, a sharp, furious snarl curling the cusp of his lips. "Go. Before I rip that head of yours off," he snarled, dismissing his dissenter with a warning. A sharp bite to the tongue hardly stifled his giddy, pleased grin. He’d won. Victory was his through and through. Gingerly, he opened his mouth, sifting through several dull scents until he selected his tracking marker; the midnight dark male drenched with fur and flesh. A light-footed traveler’s lope would set off his pace, enough to ensure he covered his ground without entirely wearing himself out. However, as he departed, a second pair of pawsteps fell seamlessly from Semira, soft and sure-footed from her former scout work. “The pup,” she began, sending him with his final instructions for the journey. “If she is to be alive, ensure she does not forget the pack that took her in. Our hospitality is not to be taken for granted.” Knowingly, he dipped his head. “Of course, Semira.” He shuddered, hackles bristling with the wind chill. “And the best of luck with handling winter.” Exit To: Lubrusca Border Outskirts

It seemed that the new Mrs High And Mighty didn't appreciate her constant sarcasm, but apparently, Flint's quips were fully acceptable. Blinking her single eye in boredom, Aspen listened as Flint spouted his monologue. She had listened to his boss around and theorize when they had hunted before. The tone of the small male grated her ears. It was all, 'we need to do something' and 'I want to traipse back to Lubrusca to visit my corpse buddy.' The dull throb in her tail was more interesting. "Work needs to be done and we have seen what has happened here. Prepare yourselves for the coming months, and make sure none of you adventure off alone," Jay's evidently annoyed voice barked at the gathered Ferus wolves. That was it? Just don't be bloody stupid and stay alive? Good to know that the only thing that Jay was going to do was let Flint wander back to Lubrusca while any clues that could've been here, not to mention the still present scent trails that most definitely didn't lead towards Lubrusca, went stale. What a fucking great plan. As Jay commanded the bodies to be buried and everyone else to return to the commons, Aspen rose to her paws. Trailing her tail over the frame of the Salutary as she moved away, the she-wolf commented back to him, "Well, come on! We don't want someone so defenceless that they ask a cripple for protection wandering the scary borders all alone!" Returning to her silent brooding, Aspen trudged back to the common grounds, looking forward to seeing how her comment would affect the Salutary, who really should have been a warrior in the war, but meh. Interests were interests. -Exit to Common Grounds - Salutary Solex Alpha Jay Alphess Semira @leaverflint General Azazel

Dawn offered a small smile as Azazel spoke of his sister. But even the slightest idea of boredom baffled her, today being a clear example of the many happenings in Ferus, making her believe boredom being far from a flaw of the pack. Dawn felt Ferus had a very different fault, but to each his own. The she-wolf had been about to ask him a question when Jay suddenly called out to them. Blinking back any possibly liquid she looked past the large form of Azazel to view Jay in the distance. "Azazel and Dawn, if you could please bury the bodies of the pack members who died in Lubruscan territory," She had been right. The two fallen members hadn’t died here, but in “Lubrusca…” She unknowingly said out loud with a soft exhale of breath. But how? She had little time to think any more of it as Azazel began to dig the graves. Not wanting to be as useless as she felt Dawn trudged forward to aid him, helping him dig Pandora’s grave first, before moving on to do Xanthe’s whilst he did Kurumi’s. The giant knot in her stomach was heavily aggravating as her claws dug deep into the earth. Raggedy breath released as dust spat out behind her with each thrust of a limb, ears swiveled back as she made quick movements to dig the hole. Seconds past before she paused to take a breather audits shot up, watching as Flint made an exit, her hunting superior disappearing past their borders. A few more minutes of digging, and the dreaded hauling of Xanthe’s body into the grave, she was finally placing the last few ferns and flowers when Azazel spoke. "Take all the time you need to mourn."Dawn took a step back, looking nonchalantly at the covered grave whilst releasing a sigh. “My heart has mourned enough.” She said. Deciding that they no longer was the need to express an emotion that affected her work. She believed Xanthe would agree. Noting the silence her head turned to look to the empty outskirts, only she and Azazel left alone to bury the bodies. Her unsaid questioned was then presented, turning to look to the male and softening her stoic expression at the slightest. “Why didn’t you leave Ferus?”

It seemed with every new bit of information, the situation was escalating. The magnitude almost could not be described, only felt. Multiple of Ferus' wolves had been slaughtered, some taken (or escaped). Their borders were now riddled with anxiety and blood and the mystery plaguing this entire situation. As soon as Ferus had reached a comfortable state, powerful, strong in numbers, and a stable hierarchy, it had been screwed up. It was frustrating and maddening, only adding to Dis' already confusing emotions. She mostly felt bitter right now. Why could the world not be kind to her? Every time everything started to change for the better, it seemed to fall to shit again later. It was like the universe wanted to get Dis' hopes up, to build up some sort of emotion at last only to crush it mercilessly. With a sigh, Dis shook her head. She needed to stop throwing herself a pity party. She was not important. The pack was. Her feelings didn't matter, either. Only the pack did. She gives a small nod to her alpha's instructions and turns to head back to the commons, where things had been normal, some of the best moments of her life thus far, a short couple hours ago.

| Solex looked towards the Alpha pair, not particularly interested in what they were saying to Flint. But with the dismissal of the male and the rest of the pack being addressed, Solex knew it was about time to leave. Silver gaze wandering to Aspen whom seemed to venture towards him, he couldn't help but roll his eyes at the female. The one-eyed she-wolf, although competent enough, was one of the larger annoyances that kept pestering him. She was intelligent, but he would never tell her that. And she was more than capable of taking care of herself, but it still made Solex's pelt bristle at the thought of even acknowledging her and giving her that satisfaction. Flicking his tail, he looked towards Dawn and Azazel, the ones that were supposed to be burying the bodies of their pack members. They would have to go grab Tenshi from the commons as well, but the young one would be taken care of later probably.
Bringing himself to stand, he shook out his pelt, looking towards Aspen with a steel glare that told her to stop before she was ahead. Of course, her remark made him roll his eyes in response, but he snapped his jaws in her direction, pearly whites showing to her as he walked towards the commons, picking his way through the brush and hoping that she didn't follow him with conversation to boot.
