Vera trotted into the area with a slight awkwardness in her stride, believing that the younger one had followed her to the forest river she trekked towards it quietly, not choosing to address him at the moment. As her slinky form moved along she couldn't help but let her mind wonder... What had happened to the rest of her group, she hadn't seen her brawny brother in ages, well, she had longed assumed him dead and yet. He couldn't be, she herself admitted to him once that annoying they shared a common trait. Resilience. Not only had they survived they're first few days into the world... unlike their siblings... they had fought against animals of a rabid kind, surely nobody in Noctis would even no of or would dare think of. She huff. As annoying Kody always was she would be insulting him to think he was dead. Nevertheless, she had to keep going. Sauntering forward she stopped by the flowing river, gushing with water and life. Lowering her hunches she sat, had the pup not followed her out here would she only let out a sigh, but no care to go back after him. Though had he did follow would she look down to him, amber orbs blinking, looking him over before gazing out into the wilderness. "Your face says one thing." She leapt onto a rock mound that stood by the bank. "Follow." She murmured looking back to him, before hoping onto another island. "But your heart. Says another." She shook her pelt momentarily before adding. "Look kid, I ain't some kid therapist going to end your misery... Nor am I Luke to put you in you place and all shit." - "All I'm going to tell ya is that your going to have to grow up faster then you'd like... and you'll eventually learn that theres noone better to rely on then youself." Bluntness sealed her words, ears upright and flicking to the surrounding area. @aedion OOC: ((I realize you posted in furlong and I hope all is okay <33 I'm Just gonna leave this up here if you'd like to continue with Aedion talking to Vera once you've returned, otherwise just let me know. This definitely isn't my best so I also apologize for that. ))

Tamlin followed a few minutes behind his brother and the she-wolf he wished to learn from. He could hear Vera's voice in the distance, but couldn't hear any response from his brother. He heard her sigh, and decided to pause before approaching her with his request. He wanted to make sure that he wasn't going to intrude on Aedion's time with Vera. Just scenting the air, it was weird to observe that Aedion was much further away than expected. Flicking his recently dried jade eyes over to where his only kin's scent was strongest, Tamlin walked towards the bank of the river. Perhaps his brother wanted to rest his paws, do some solitary thinking away from Vera.
With a purposeful stride, Tamlin followed his brother's scent towards the fast moving water. He opened his mouth as the familiar tan backside of his sole remaining blood emerged through the long grasses. He broke into a trot, but stayed silent as he neared him. As he drew closer, Aedion took a step forwards, not having noticed Tamlin's presence. Tamlin halted, confused by his brother's actions. Slowly, Aedion continued to walk into the river. "Aedion?" Tamlin questioned, but his greeting seemed to fall on deaf ears. Speeding up, Aedion trudged further into the river. The current noticeably tugged as his fur, and he didn't seem to struggle or look startled. Tamlin rushed forwards, panic beginning to spread through his system. His body was limp, simply floating down the stream without ever lifting his head. Tamlin called out his name once again, running beside the river following his brother. He was worried, but not worried enough to intervene quite yet. When the body of his brother smashed into the rocks in the middle of the stream, that thought was soon abandoned. Without a hint of hesitation, Tamlin leaped onto the river.
The lanky teenager chased the limp form of his brother down the river, paddling furiously, gaining on him inch by inch. He was going too slow, he needed to get there faster! His lungs burned, his legs were cramping, but he locked his jaws onto Aedion's scruff after a few more seconds of intense swimming. Moving as quickly as he could with exhausted energy reserves and dead weight in his jaws, Tamlin hauled his unmoving brother onto the bank. "Vera! Hoshi! Someone!" Tamlin screamed, pushing his paws into his brother's chest. Water spilled out from his mouth and nose, but his chest remained still. Tamlin kept pumping with his paws on his brother's chest, tears stinging his eyes once again. "Come on Aedion! Come on! He screamed at the body of his brother. He hoped that he was just unconscious, that he would wake up with a cough and a splutter soon. "You can't do this to me..." Tamlin warbled brokenly as he tried in vain to bring his brother back.

She sat, idle, unmoving. By the edge of the river her head hung low as she stared into it; its sloshing, splashing aggression when washing against the bank mirrored her own inner thoughts. She hadn’t seen Aedion follow her in, a curled lip displaying her distaste at his rudeness, she sought to help him out. Fucking help him. And he left? Part of her strained to remind herself he was only a pup, and had gone through a lot today. But she knows real pain! He’s experienced nothing! Nothing that was of real pain… A paw madly swiped at the river water, memories flooding her thoughts; the loud bangs of fire, the dogs barking, all chaos. Absolute chaos…. Vera had wanted to remain where she was, grumbling and feeling sorry for herself. But her head perked up as a frantic voice called for help. Skull tilled as she waited to recognize it. “Tamlin…? Shit.” With a twist of her form her legs pushed forward into a gallop, moving alongside the river bed, thrusting forward as her brain tried to wrap around as to what had happened. That’s when she saw them, one hauling out the other, squinting to get a better look Tamlin could be seen pumping his brothers chest, both soaked with water, one alive the other… Nearly slipping on the muddy earth the she-wolf came to a halt snapping. “What the hell happened?” Amber flashing between the two, almost instinctively beginning to vent out a load of ‘shits’, coming to the realization she was responsible, this had happened on her watch, that no one other than the Alphess herself! And her Delta had seen Vera take Aedion with her. She was fucked. “Move!” Her larger form aimed to shove the youngster over and off his sibling as she took over. Pumping at his little heart, once ever while breathing into his mouth, before flopping an ear over his chest to check. But orbs, eyes that had seen death long before these boys were even born knew it was over. But she couldn’t bear to tell him. She couldn’t do to him what those men with their corrupted creations that fired metal bits did to her brother. Your sibling was your other half, and now, Tamlin’s only brother was gone… “Come on! Quick! To the commons, find Hoshi.” Vera stopped, picking the limp pup by the scruff and moving quickly towards the commons, as if there was purpose in all this, while very well knowing this was a lost cause, the boy was dead, his hollow chest said so. But she couldn’t tell Tamlin alone, as straightforward and a blunt as she is, she couldn’t bring herself to commit such a crime. He’s dead you moron. You already committed a crime.

For what seemed like an eternity, he pounded his paws into his one remaining family member's chest. Tears and snot streamed down his face as he whined pathetically. He didn't even notice Vera's presence until she barked, "What the hell happened?" As her shoulder shoved him off Aedion, Tamlin cried out, "He jsut walked in! He didn't even try to swim!" Hiccups shook his frame as he watched Vera take her turn trying to revive him. His panic was unimaginable; his heart pounded and his breathing was erratic. This couldn't be happening. Aedion would not have done what this imposter had just done. He just wouldn't.
"Come on! Quick! To the commons, find Hoshi!" Vera called out, scooping up his still unmoving brother in her jaws. Tamlin wasn't naive. The knowledge that his brother was likely dead loomed over him with fangs bared. Even so, the childish hope that Hoshi could help him stuck to his mind. Would Hoshi even be in the commons? She had left with the rest of the big shots after the howl. Could he find that other wolf, Newt? Would he help? Was there anyone in the commons that could help at all? Shoving those thoughts out of his mind, Tamlin sprinted to the commons. There had to be someone there. It couldn't just be empty...

Zachariah followed suit, as the female led him to the forest, it was hard for the male to contain his own exciment like he was planning to do. He was scared of what was to come, but also looking forward to it. Once Sasha stopped shut, the warrior did the same, eyes wide open at whatever the she-wolf wanted to tell him. The eurasian grey had been attracted to the female before him for quite a while now, he had lost the count of how many times the male's heart had melted at her smile, her voice or just her general way of being. Tough and serious he looked, yes, but inside there was a soft space just for Sasha.
Thing that Zach didn't really saw was the she-wolf's change of expression. If he had, the male would have noticed fear and anxiety coming from the female, alongside guilt itself, but the aforementioned was far too lost on his thoughts for that. Clearing her throat, she prepared, and with a gente smile she started. "Zack, I really like you. You are one great friend, and despite all of that seriousness you show, I know for a fact that you are really sweet inside". Oh boy, this hadn't begun well. Just the words "a great friend" had made the male loose any amount of hope he still had of his love being corresponded today.
"But right now...I don't think I'm ready for a mate. Not yet, at least". That last sentence hurt. It hit home hard. "But my point still stands...You are a great friend and packmate, it would be great if we could just...stay as friends".
Tail down, unmoving, ears down but eyes looking straight through Sasha's. The male stood there, defeated. A warrior he was, but even the toughest of warlords struggle with rejection. He didn't know what to say, he didn't know where to hide or go to. The male who cursed his luck just wanted the earth to swallow him whole. Breathing, recomposing himself, Zachariah decided to speak up. "It's fine, really. I... I understand...". With that the warrior left the scene, suddenly disconnecting himself from reality. Nothing mattered to him now, the brute couldn't even hear Sasha calling him, telling him to come back and talk it over.
He just walked forward to wherever place the wind took him, in search to do something that fulfilled him.
~Exit to Noctis common grounds~
And, after a year and so, our boy Zack is back, right in time for the new design of the forum!
Also, grey for Sasha, dark green for Zachariah
