Nooné's plan sounded logical to Spirit. The arctic wolf nodded, complimenting her friend for his fantastic idea: "That's brilliant, Nooné. Just watch and see what happens... That's a great idea, actually. I'll do just that."True to her words, the young teenager watched wide-eyed, observing any response from the group. Fortunately, none of the wolves in the distance seemed to have noticed the duo sneakily lurking nearby. They must be quite occupied themselves. Her ears sharp and tall, Spirit listened in into their conversation. The new she-wolf, Nooné had pointed out, seemed to panic a little about the taller autumn-coloured-fur wolf. Something to do with his tail. “No, no, no, you’ve got it all wrong! I'm not a total wolf, see? Half she-ba. All of our tails look like this. That’s where the fur comes from too – not common pelt colors, eh? Normally, hybrids are half hoosky or half shepherd, but other breeds exist too. Like my buddy Knox! He’s half Labradeer, so water slides off of his fur. Pretty neat, huh? And he also has webbed paws, so he’s an ultra good swimmer! And she, well, Knox and I don’t know that much about her yet, except that she’s like us, so we know she has something special," the taller he-wolf responded. Oh, so that's what she was worrying about. She had accidentally 'broken' his tail. Turns out it's not true after all. The yearling finally understood what was going on. Enlightened by the taller reddish wolf, Spirit continued watching the scene before her. She noted the friendly wag of the he-wolf's tail and how he had kindly introduced himself as 'Astro'. Then, Spirit noticed how uneasy another she-wolf in the group looked. Another new one, I suppose. She introduced herself as 'Astoria' and announced that she was part Jackal. Spirit came to her conclusion and she finally turned to the Iberian beside her: " That astro-fella seemed really friendly towards that girl who had so-called 'broken' his tail. They all seem like a group of really nice wolves." Then, a horrible thought struck her. It had something to do with Astoria being part Jackal What if... "What if we need to be part something to join them. Like Astro is a I-don't really-know what-that-is, Knox is half labradeer and Astoria is half Jack-whatever." In the distance, Spirit could hear a he-wolf's voice: "Perhaps, instead of a walk in the tide, we could do story-time." Oh no, what if story-time means telling our life-stories? If Nooné and I join that group of wolves, would I have to repeat what I just told Nooné all over again? I don't want to cry like a pup again. Nonetheless, Spirit asked her friend for his opinion first: " So, what'd you think? Should we stop spying on them and introduce ourselves, or should we just walk away and find somewhere safe? I honestly think they are quite friendly. Well, but for that story-time part, I don’t think I’d like to share my life-story all over again." Nooné Mentioned: Astoria @kebechet @astro @knox

The male looked on as Spirit responded to his plan rather positively. "That's brilliant, Nooné. Just watch and see what happens... That's a great idea, actually. I'll do just that." Seeing and hearing her companion nod and compliment his plan brought Nooné a sense of satisfaction. He hadn't had that in a while, and almost forgot the feeling. Following their accords, the pair sat down together, carefuly keeping themselves from being watched by the group in front of them. Right then, the tall, tail-broken wolf guy chuckled. Moment of thruth. “No, no, no, you’ve got it all wrong! I’m not total wolf, see? Half she-ba. All of our tails look like this. That’s where the fur comes from too – not common pelt colors, eh? Normally, hybrids are half hoosky or half shepherd, but other breeds exist too. Like my buddy Knox!”. The reddish male spoke, calmly, with a playful and cheery air on his voice as he did so. But the Iberian frowned, stranged by the concept, raw confusion being plastered on his face. Half what now?. But the bigger, further from him male continued his dialogue non-chalantly. This "half-shibe" guy looked at the other male by his side with an always present smile. This Knox fellow seemed older, yet much shorter than his crimson friend. Heck, from his position it even seemed that the half-sheperd was shorter than him. But, Astro rambled on, complimenting his friend's great ability to swim, mostly thanks to his fur and webbed paws. Not even breathing or making a pause, the reddish male was right about to introduce the female behind him, a rather small, young and light brown female, whose name was Astoria. “Well, Knox and I don’t know that much about her yet, except that she’s like us, so we know she has something special,". Nooné raised a brow at this. Are they taking in any wolf that comes by? . Astoria introduced herself, rather nervously, even stuttering her own name. "I'm part Jackal". Jackal. The brown male had heard that word before, his dad used to say it in rather despective way, often referring to cowards and opportunists. Smirking at the memories, Nooné took a moment to wonder just how his old man was doing these days. I wonder if I classify his vision of a jackal.... Introductions said and done, the half-sibe went on to say his own, firstly clarifying that the she-wolf should not worry about whatever accident had happened prior. “No worries! No harm done. Thanks for the effort though! I appreciate it, though I don't think it'll ever straighten out completely. The name's Astro. What's yours?"His concetration was shattered however, as the female by his side had begun to talk. "That astro-fella seemed really friendly towards that girl who had so-called 'broken' his tail. They all seem like a group of really nice wolves". Great, she seems to like them. Might as well just introduce ourselves already. But, after that pause that just gave him about enough time to think, Spirit came with a rather dark toned thought. "What if we need to be part something to join them?. Like Astro is a I-don't really-know what-that-is, Knox is half labradeer and Astoria is half Jack-whatever". Yes, that seemed plausible. Yet Nooné couldn't quite say that that was indeed the case here. They just seemed way too nice to pull something like that, at least from what he had been able to hear from their spot. "You think? We could just give it a try though. What's the worst thing that could happen?". Just when the Iberian finished his sentences, centenars of different outcomes came flying to his head. He had jinxed it, indeed. Oh god, so much could go wrong. Nooné tried to correct and reformulate his last sentence, when he realized that the group's conversation was still going. "-alk in the tide, we could do story-time?". That last sentence, he did not get, but his companion seemed to have understood it. "So, what'd you think? Should we stop spying on them and introduce ourselves, or should we just walk away and find somewhere safe? I honestly think they are quite friendly. Well, but for that story-time part, I don’t think I’d like to share my life-story all over again."Nooné partially agreed. They did look quite friendly and all, but they were still strangers. And strangers can be dangerous, and his own story, well, it kind of can be hard to tell, mostly whenever he gets his flashbacks and all. But, the iberian realized that, all in all, he was talking with a stranger right now. He didn't know much about Spirit and vice versa, this could be a trap, a set up for all he knew. Even so, the brown male had rolled with it, played along and things were going just fine for now. He had made a friend for the first time in months. But, the decision was put on his shoulders. If things were to go south, the male wouldn't be able to cope with the guilt of his friend being hurt because of his choices. So, the brown male made up yet another plan. " Well, we could both just go and introduce ourselves right now. When the story part comes around, well, we might as well just don't share our stories, or just tell them in a different way, to make them look happier!". Smiling, the male carried on with his machinations. "Or, I could go with them on my own...And when you see that they are indeed the good guys that they appear to be, you come by and introduce yourself too...".If Spirit says that she will stay to see what happens, Nooné will say "O-Okay, stay here. Just hide or run if anything goes wrong...", kind of nervously because of the risk that approaching a group of 4 implies, approaching the crew with his head and ears down, just muttering a small "Hi". But if his female companion agrees on coming with him, the Iberian will have more confidence, approaching the group standing as tall as he can get, saying "Is-s there space for tw-wo more?"
Wow shit, broke my record lmao. @astro @kebechet @knox Spirit Astoria

Her ears flick in confusion as the cinnamon male laughs, head cocking to the side. Well...at least that meant he wasn’t mad? No, no, no, you’ve got it all wrong! I’m not total wolf, see? As words continue flowing from his mouth, the yearling visibly grows more and more excited, until she is practically hopping from one foot to another with tail wagging wildly. As his voice ebbs off, she bursts, “Dude, that is so cool! I’m only made up of wolf-y genes, see, but you guys are like enhanced. I mean, webbed feet? Who woulda thought!” How dare you break his tail? In payment of hurting our dear friend, you must tell us a grand story. “Oh hush, you, you’re gonna get me all riled up again. There aren’t any broken bones in that fluffball he calls a tail!” She exclaims, batting a paw at Knox’s shoulder as if they were already friends. “But dontcha worry - I’m a chatterbox, as y’all can probably tell, and my stories come without the guilt trip needed. Hope ya don’t mind.” She pauses to take a breath, plopping her rump down into the sand and raising a hind leg to scratch at a bothersome spot on her belly. “I’m Kebechet, by the way, but y’all can call me Chet if ya want.”
Just as she was about to launch into her grand tail - ha - tale of adventure and mystery, a male voice pipes up from across the way. “Oh, heya, just in time for story time, apparently.” Obviously she couldn’t dictate whether the two wolves could leave or stay, but the yearling had to admit that the smell of the two was comforting. She didn’t think that they were anything but wolf, and she felt like less of a loser now that she wasn’t the only one without cool dog DNA. “So, I was chillin with this group of wolves in a pine forest, right? And it was going well, they seemed nice enough - at least, they fed me and didn’t try to rip my face off in payment - and two of ‘em smelled off. Not bad, but like, not all wolf? And none of them got to explaining things like Astro just did, so I was sitting there wondering if they had rolled around in a patch of some newly discovered herb, because my nose did not know what was goin on. But then - and here’s the exciting part - I smelled smoke. Like, a disgusting amount of smoke, and you know what that means: fire. Not some itty bitty lightning-strike type fire, but like, full on gonna-burn-you-and-your-ancestors-to-a-crisp type fire. So, feeling guilty for eating their food and then ducking out, I caught them a snake. Had to be twice my size, lemme tell ya, but it was no match for me.” She puffs out her rust colored chest, cheeky smile in place. She knew that they would know she was exaggerating. “So after I gave them my little farewell treat, I was ready to bust ass and get out of that forest, and I guess I ran just a little too fast, because next thing I know I’m tripping over a curly-tailed hybrid!” She shoots Astro a wink, tongue peeking out from between lips in a playful manner. “And now, here we are.” The femme inhales deeply, drawing air back into her lungs - she doesn’t think she took a breath more than three times for that entire story. Spirit had her doubts. She had no idea whether the both of them would be welcomed by the group of four. Then again, the group seemed friendly when approached by any stranger. Just like how Astro treated the new she-wolf nicely without knowing much about her identity. "You think? We could just give it a try though. What's the worst thing that could happen?"the he-wolf by her side replied. What's the worst thing that could happen? The both of us might be attacked by all four of them. We would be ripped into pieces within minutes. No, not just minutes. Seconds.Yet, the young teenager decided to keep these thoughts to herself, and nodded. No point being so negative about the whole situation. Who knows? They might just be a group of friendly wolves after all. Well, friendly to everyone. While Spirit's mind was whirling, the new she-wolf in the distance responded to Astro: “Dude, that is so cool! I’m only made up of wolf-y genes, see, but you guys are like enhanced. I mean, webbed feet? Who woulda thought!” So, the new she-wolf wasn't part something like the others. Relief overcame Spirit and she relaxed a little. Meanwhile, the female continued to blabber on and on non-stop, introducing herself as 'Kebechet'. Or Chet.I think I'll call her Chet. Then, she began to share with the group about where very recent past. Phew, story-telling session only requires you to speak about how you ended up here."Well, we could both just go and introduce ourselves right now. When the story part comes around, well, we might as well just don't share our stories, or just tell them in a different way, to make them look happier!". Smiling, the male carried on with his machinations. "Or, I could go with them on my own...And when you see that they are indeed the good guys that they appear to be, you come by and introduce yourself too.." "There's...there's no need for that," Spirit answered. She didn't want to complicate matters. "I'll just introduce myself along with you. But if you're not planning to join the group over there, I'm fine too. We can't stay here for too long. Mr warm snow monster or whatever's out there would get us soon. I'd be right behind your back no matter what you plan to do."After a pause, she added: "Literally." The same old shyness upon meeting new friends silently crept onto the Arctic wolf. No way I'm going first. Nooné Mentioned: @astro Astoria @kebechet @knox Sorry for the late reply.

Lillian
Lillian moved forward to the edge of the cliff, there was a small path to the beach on her right but she’d heard voices, deciding to see what was going on she moved forward carefully, she didn't want the others to know she was there she wasn't sure how to feel. She'd had encounters before some good and some bad, from hearing the multiple voices she decided it was best to proceed with caution. Side stepping she moved slowly to trying not fall, but not paying attention she stepped on a small smooth stone, causing her paw to give way underneath her, making her fall down the path to the bottom of the cliff. "Son of bitch, not again!" She cursed, standing she shook off the pebbles and dirt that had clumped in to her fur. Looking towards the small huddle of wolves, she hoped the group had noticed her fall. "Um hi," she muttered, normally she would've been fine if she had been by herself, but there had been a crowd that had witnessed her fall.

ROGUE KNOX
Knox wagged his tail happily as the one he had teased played along. A toothy grin displayed across his mouth as he rolled her name across his tongue. The name was interesting to say the least, he had not heard a name like that, but then again he had the same thoughts about Astro’s. However, her name would be one that would take Knox sometime to get the pronunciation spot on.
Soon Kebechet began her story telling, laying down to make himself more comfortable. His lower half laid within the tall grass while his front half splayed across the sand. He enjoyed flexing his paws into the moist ground. Ears forward intently as the story tell had the floor.
As her story was drawing to a close, he noted two figures in the distance trying to stay out of sight. He wondered if Astro noticed the two? If the male had, he did not let on to the group, probably allowing the others to approach at their own accord. How scary would it be for them to call out?
“That story was amazing, I cannot wait to hear more about your travels, Kebayshit,” Knox said, stumbling over her name at the end, giving a half grin in apologies. “I’m sorry, how do you say your name again?” He asked bashfully before a crash had his head swivelling in the direction of the noise, another wolf had literally fallen in front of them.

Spindly legs carried the slow-moving male over the transitioning terrain. If anyone were close enough to hear him, they would be listening to the sound of teeth hitting a small clump of stones in the male's mouth with every step. Hanging out of his mouth was a large strip of bark, alder to be specific. He was going to try to take care of himself even as he destroyed his mouth. Inwardly, a tongue worked the stones around in a slobbery circuit in the male's mouth, clashing against his teeth and sending spikes of pain through his head. Cobalt and black eyes spotted the quick shift from grasslands to a beach landscape just as it occurred, stopping his progress entirely. Almost robotically, Corvidae's front paw began to scrape at the ground. It looked like a cat covering its scat, but it needed to be done. For nearly five minutes he dug through the dry earth until a reasonable skid mark left in the ground and his claws were flooded with sand. Sighing and wincing as stones collided with his teeth, Cori continued on. Large paws splayed open over the sand to prevent him from sinking too far in. The male wasn't brought down by his chronic, self-inflicted pain. Spotting small rises in the sand, Cori set off bouncing on top of them as he moved. However, the fun and much faster movement was brought to a slamming halt when a large bounder came into view along the grassy edge of the beach. Anxiety shooting through him, Cori sprinted towards the boulder. Naturally, it was lodged firmly in place and was of no danger to anyone, but he had to make sure. Once, twice, three times he hit his tail against the stone. Just to make sure it was safe, and really really safe. Relieved that the boulder wasn't going anywhere, Corvidae rattled his stones around and proceeded on his journey. Hopefully, there were some other wolves here on the beach that he could stick around with! Maybe they wouldn't think he was too weird! With a pep in his step, Cori raced forwards. Scenting through the salt and seaweed that hung in the air, Cori scanned for any scent that could belong to a fellow canid. Spotting a large group through his nasals, Cori's grin grew which exposed a few of the small lumps of gravel in his mouth. Running along the edge of the beach, he smacked his tail against the stalks of grass that hung over the edge, already excited to see who he discovered. To his amazement, a large group of wolves had gathered on the coastline. There were big ones, a whole lot of small ones, and some that didn't even look all wolf! He just couldn't wait to meet them! Coming at them at full gallop, Cori's mismatched eyes gleamed brightly. "Mmmmrff!" he greeted, completely forgetting about the stones in his mouth until pain stabbed his skull. Giving the group a small smile, Corvidae turned around and dropped his rocks in the sand. Leaving the bark sticking out the side of his mouth, Cori tried again, "Hi! My name's Corvidae, but you can call me Cori if you want to!" A black tail waggled behind the clouded male, a bright smile showing off worn down teeth from the various things that he gnawed on throughout the years. @astro @knox Nooné @kebechet Spirit @lillian Astoria @anyoneimissedsoryyyy

Aenemys had been traversing the coastline calmly for a couple days now. Wandering aimlessly, she had been a small white figure against a vast grey ocean and shore. It seemed that though this landscape grew repetitive with every mile, new things were always to be found, washed upon the grey-yellow sand by an abandoning current. Out of boredom, Aili liked to find metaphors to her life in these little moments, as if to reify her own life story. She herself felt washed up, having left her former rogue group and not finding a purpose since then. Her life seemed maladroit; it was all over the place, literally. Aenemys had left the rogue group in order to experience a different kind of life, but she had began to wonder what kind of life there could be for her out there. Had she left the wolves she had known her whole life only to find nothing in return? Sighing, the female focuses her attention on the tinkling sounds of pebbles beneath her claws, instead of her desultory life. As she inhaled again, interest perked her up in the form of scents hitting her nostrils. She smelt a group of wolves, of rogues as it certainly was not a pack. Narrowing her crystalline eyes as if that would help her think, she debated her path from here. Certainly, the female had not left her rogue group to join another. It silently screamed trouble in her mind, but also cheered at an end to her boredom. No, it would not make sense for her to approach a large group. Certainly dangers came with that, especially to a lone, young female. However, there was an incessant cheering in the back of her mind, a begging in her subconscious. She could always leave, couldn't she? With a sigh at her indecisiveness, the lovely female crossed the lands towards the scents, deciding upon an end to this chapter of dull and lonely wandering. She was not close enough to count for certain the amount of wolves in the group. At least... five? six? Aenemys approached at a steady pace, externally appearing calm but internally annoyed. The young female could now hear voices, one of which she only caught the tail-end, '-if you want to!' Slightly hesitantly, aware she could not turn back now without appearing odd, she came close to the group, wondering how they may react to her. Post by Nooné on Jul 14, 2018 19:45:54 GMT -8
Nooné expected Spirit to follow his latter plan,he'd go to introduce himself and she'd wait. But, fortunately for him, the shy white wolf actually agreed on them both going over to the small congregation and just boldy introduce themselves. Great! I won't have to do it on my own!. As he turned to move towards, the female spoke. "I'd be right behind your back no matter what you plan to do. Literally". Somehow, that dialogue brought him comfort, and actually boosted his confidence. Picking up the pace, the Iberian, alongside the artic wolf walked over the small quartet. "Is-s there space for tw-wo more?" His introduction was quickly answered by the storyteller herself, who had previously said her name was Kebechet, but also went by just Chet. "Oh, heya, just in time for story time, apparently". What kind of story would that be? The male had no clue. Spirit was afraid to have to relate her own again, apparently she hadn't gotten over it yet. And then Kebechet's story started. To be completely honest, Nooné was not really able to catch all of it. With how nervous he was with meeting new wolves and how fast the small she-wolf talked, the male got kinda lost with the details. He did understand the basic structure of it though. She was with another group, apparently nice folks who fed her and treated her decently. But then the reddish she-wolf smelled smoke coming from the depths of the forest, so she quickly caught a snake as a reward for their help and ran as quickly as she could. When she realized it, she was here. Woah. A snake? And twice her size? Holy heck. One of the hybrids, Knox, responded, apparently butchering Chet's name purpouslly, as he smiled after doing so. "That story was amazing, I cannot wait to hear more about your travels, Kebayshit. I’m sorry, how do you say your name again?”With amazement on his face, Nooné tilted his head with curiosity. "Did you really did t-". Right when he was about to ask Chet about her hunting feat, the brown male suddenly heard a voice apparently coming from high grounds, and then a "plop". Someone had fallen off the cliff. The Iberian was not the only one to notice however, some of the members of the group had turned around to see what had happened. The clumsy one got on their feet as quick as they possibly could, muttering a small "Umm Hi". Nooné got taken aback by this. Raising an eyebrow, walking over worryingly, he asked the gray she-wolf. "You alright there? Does anything hurt?". Taking the chance, the small Iberian introduced himself, both at the one he was talking to and the rest of the group. "Name's N-Noone. Spir-rit and I just happened to walk into y-you guys. Would have come sooner, but we just wanted to make sur-re you were as n-nice as you appeared to be. S-Sorry".Right as he did so, two more wolves came around. The first one was a male, black furred with white patches all around his body, who seemed to carry something on his mouth. Are those rocks?. And yes, rocks those were, one could easily say as this new male dropped the rocks on the warm snow. "Hi! My name's Corvidae, but you can call me Cori if you want to!". First, the hybrids, then the girl who falls from a cliff and stands up as if it was nothing and then, this guy who just happens to carry rocks around. Shouldn't that hurt? Is he okay?. The male just looked at him, kinda curious and shocked at the same time. Shaking off the expression, Nooné put up a smile. He didn't really want the rock-carrier to feel bad. "Hi there!". The Iberian wanted to say more, but to be completely honest, he was a newbie himself. Wouldn't want to step on the group's hospitality. The second figure to appear came right after Cori introduced himself. A young, gray feminine body approached the group, slowly but surely. This one did not say anything. Maybe she was shy? Maybe she just did not want to be noticed? Or maybe she already was part of the group? Nooné did not know for sure. He decided to wait until one of the others said something first. The Iberian seemed to be way more confident than Spirit, as he began to walk towards the group of four. At the same slow and steady pace, the teenager followed uncertainly, feeling a little uneasy about their introduction. However, knowing that Nooné was there to support her, a sense of assurance formed inside her. She wasn't alone. Nonetheless, the shyness in her still lingered. Nooné opened his mouth first: "Is-s there space for tw-wo more?"It was a brief introduction, and not the very best one, but Spirit could not have done it any better herself. Nooné's stammering gave his nervousness away. The alabaster teen couldn't blame him for that, for her legs were also shivering in fear. What if they suddenly start attacking us all at once? We won't stand a chance. Yet, she pushed those frightening thoughts away, and the young innocence in her surfaced once again. With the assumption that the group was 'friendly', Spirit's tense body relaxed a little. The story-time session had began way before the duo joined in, and Chet had already shared her's. Spirit did not understand everything at once, but she managed to grasp at the straws. While trying to digest Kebechet's words all at once, a he-wolf had started commenting on her story. Unfortunately, he did not seem to catch her name and ended up saying it wrongly. Amused, Spirit tilted her head slightly. Nooné, meanwhile, had already processed Chet's story much faster than she did, and said something: "Did you really did t-" Before he could finish his sentence, however, a resounding 'plop' cut his sentence off. Befuddled, Spirit peered curiously at the she-wolf, who seemed to have fallen off from the edge of a cliff. Clumsily, she got up, aware of the small crowd of witnesses. "Umm Hi." she murmured awkwardly after her rather painful entrance into the scene. "Umm...Are you okay?" Spirit spoke after remaining silent for a long time. She appeared at the new-comer's side to help her up. Shouldn't a fall from such a great height hurt a lot? Yet, the grey wolf seemed to be alright. Concerned, Spirit's companion joined them, before taking the opportunity to make a proper introduction: "Name's N-Noone. Spir-rit and I just happened to walk into y-you guys. Would have come sooner, but we just wanted to make sur-re you were as n-nice as you appeared to be. S-Sorry." Nooné's stammering was back again, and so was Spirit's: "Hullo, as No-oné, um, mentioned, I-I'm Spirit. Nice-nice to meet you all. And, um, sorry for not introducing ourselves sooner."The very next moment, a he-wolf approached the group, strangely carrying a few stones in his mouth. "Mmmmrfff!" he announced, with his mouth full of stones, before he dropped them to the ground. "Hi! My name's Corvidae, but you can call me Cori if you want to!" "Hey Cori!"the alabaster wolf smiled, just as Nooné greeted him at the same time. "Those stones look like a way bigger version of warm snow! Just that they aren't reddish..." the half-year-old exclaimed enthusiastically, all thoughts about 'Mr Warm Snow Monster' being pushed aside. In her excitement, her initial nervousness vanished instantly, and so did her stutters. Another young female approached the group, but the stranger didn't introduce herself. Finding that a little suspicious, Spirit remained silent, just as Nooné did. Nooné @astro @knox @kebechet Apprentice Corvidae Aenemys @lillian Astoria

Son of a bitch, not again! As the sound of a new lupess reaches her ears, Kebechet glances over, just in time to see a pretty cream colored she wolf shake rocks from her pelt. Though the youngster hadn’t actually seen the fall, it wasn’t hard to guess what had happened. “Oh my, do you kiss your mother with that mouth?” She teases, a mischievous spark in her eye. Judging by the way she approached the lot, she wasn’t already a part of this little posse. Normally the rust colored wolf would have felt nervous around so many, but the hybrids in particular seemed nice enough - she didn’t think they’d stand for someone whipping out fighting words. With a parting wink, her attention is called by the baritone of Knox’s voice. I cannot wait to hear more about your travels, Kebayshit. I’m sorry, how do you say your name again? “Keh-bay-chet,” She pronunciates, cocking an ear. “It’s a mouthful, I know, but Chet is fine if ya aren’t into tongue twisters.”Stones clattering beneath claws was quickly becoming a familiar sound as more and more wolves approached, but admittedly the sound of stones between teeth was new. Eyeing the long legged male with curious hazel eyes, she stifles a chuckle when he literally forgets he has rocks in his mouth. Watching with amusement as he spits them out and introduces himself, she eyes his wagging tail and happy grin with growing mischief. He looks down to play. With a quick lunge, she snaps her jaws shut around the stick hanging from his mouth, giving an experimental tug and wagging her tail to match his. If he were to respond to her invitation to play with a tug of his own, she would ‘battle’ him for the stick for a few moments longer before releasing it back into his custody. She could feel the many grooves in the wood on her tongue - he clearly enjoyed gnawing on the thing, and the twig was probably better to chew on than a buncha rocks anyways. If he were to respond less than enthusiastically, she would release his treasure with a sheepish grin and a half-hearted sorry before letting the matter slide. “Chet is my name, meeting people is my game - at least, it is now that there are so many of us.” She bumps her nose against his flank in a friendly manner. “Welcome to the party.”
As yet another wolf approaches - a pale female with pretty eyes, Kebechet pretends to swoon, putting on a show for the surrounding wolves. “Astro, Knox, Astoria, I forgot to tell you of my curse - the curse of irresistible beauty. Wherever I go, wolves follow - it’s my fault so many have been attracted to your merry band!” Shoving her muzzle under a paw with dramatic flair, she peeks over at Aenemys from under her lashes . “I know my looks are intimidating, but you can approach me, fair maiden. I only bite when provoked!” It takes everything she has to stifle the giggles rising in her chest. Noticing that the two wolves from earlier had introduced themselves, she shoots them each a grin. “Spirit and Noone, huh? Lovely names; at least they’re pronounceable!”

If she were completely honest with herself, Lexavein hadn't a single clue what she was doing. The last few weeks had taken a toll on her. Her falling body heat aided by the isolation made life a living icy hell. It was so silent now that she had felt condemned to howl mournfully with the wind. It almost made her cry out in longing to her family, mainly her mother and sister, but she swiftly stifled her cries. There was no going back. There was no crying for her mother or whining for attention. No chorus of howls her own all could mix with. Nobody warmth from another to share in this cold world. She was completely and utterly alone. She had been for months, barely scraping by on leftovers of other wolves.
Now, making her way down a rocky slope and to the shoreline, she paused momentarily to stare transfixed at the water. Never before had she seen so much in one place. It honestly was terrifying. Still, her tail began to wag as her momentary discover distracted her from her loneliness. With a playful bark, Lex bounded down the slope, towards the frigid waters. The female tripped once but quickly sprang up again to bolt towards the shore. The tide slowly resided as she approached, and Lexavein found great joy in nipping at it playfully.... as if it were a living animal. To her surprise, it left a salty taste in her mouth, rather than a refreshing pure one. With another playful bark and a furious wag of her tail, she moved after the water, only to curl her tail between her legs and retreat as the tide moved back. It was exhilarating to finally have a playmate, and Lexavein took great liberty barking at the water angrily after she realized her paws were soaked. As expected, the water resided, and Lexavein felt a moment of victory. However, as she stood there staring at the water, she came to a realization that made her tail drop and her lip crease upwards slightly in a confused grimace. The tide resided and came back again in a continuous cycle, regardless of whether or Lexi was playing with it. It was as mindless and as rewarding as the howling wind. Lex stared across the ocean, the moon reflected in her poignant gaze, as the familiar pang of loneliness sank in once more.

In the dying light of the evening, Cori's excitement simmered valiantly. Soon he would grow tired and would find some sort of refuge under a very safe rock along the coastline, but for now, there were friends to be made! "Hi there!" the voice of a male near him spoke up, greeting him with a smile. Cori brightly back at him, glad to have already made a friend, even if he didn't know the smaller male's name yet. As a few nerves crept through his system, Cori rolled the slobbery stones now in the sand under his paw, just soothing himself with the knowledge that he could wash them off and pick them up again soon. At least he still had his alder bark! However, it seemed that someone else needed the bark too. A smaller female's jaws were soon latched around the end of his stick, giving experimental tugs. At first, Cori blinked quickly, the sharp jabs jostling his objectively loose but numb teeth around before he got the idea. Giving a small play growl Corvidae gave his own practice tugs, appreciating the contact and jovial contest. After she let go, Cori drew the strip of bark to his molars and gave a few chomps, carving gouges into the wood. “Chet is my name, meeting people is my game - at least, it is now that there are so many of us. Welcome to the party,” her nose bopped his flank. With a grin, Cori barked out a quick, "Thanks, Chet!" He wanted to return the action, so the piebald male lightly hit her frame with his tail, not taking into account the reaction that would send to his brain. As his tail made contact, he instantly doubted something, he didn't quite know what, but he needed to know that it was safe. Biting his lip and wincing apologetically, Cori lightly tapped his tail against her side two more times. Pausing to catch her gaze and mouth an apology, Cori was overcome with another compulsion. As quickly as he could, he tapped his tail against her three more times. Double compulsions weren't all that common for Cori, he attributed this one to his excitement about meeting all of the new wolves. "Sorry, it's just..um... I have to... make sure that you were... safe?" Corvidae stumbled over his bad explanation, the one thing he felt awkward about already starting to give him grief. Thankfully, another wolf joined the growing party to distract Chet from his taps. He watched as she bounded away to the new she-wolf's side, showing off her good sense of humour. Cori enjoyed this Chet, she was funny and nearly care-free. Hopefully, they were already fast friends! “Spirit and Noone, huh? Lovely names; at least they’re pronounceable!” she called out towards the pair of wolves, one of them being the male that greeted him before Chet. He could only assume, but it seemed like the female was Spirit and the male was Noone. Cobalt and black eyes moved back to the rest of the group. They all seemed so nice and friendly! Giving his alder back a contented gnaw, he let his smile remain plastered on his face as he looked around at the wolves around him. Curiosity ran deep in Cori's system. he wanted to know about these wolves, about what their likes and dislikes, if they would let him stay, if there was anyone really in charge; the clouded male wanted to know everything!@kebechet @astro @knox Spirit Nooné @lillian Aenemys Astoria

At first, a dumbfounded stare drilled between both eyes as she attempted to amass his reasoning, hewing together his alien hybrid anecdotes into something that she could easily comprehend. And then, it slipped together seamlessly, an eager, brilliant epiphany enveloping her entirely. She was fascinating, almost comically animated with her happy wriggling hops from paw to paw and her candid hearty laugh, capable of casting a grin from even the most wretched of wolves. Brief as their acquaintance had been, she already seemed a grand comic, cheeky, playful, with banter every bit as natural to her as breathing. Even her nickname, ‘Chet,’ held an impish sort of air. There, now that’s exactly what they were lacking! Even though his first companion had long since entered the tale, the story craved humor, mischief, spirit, each of which all nicely assembled in her tale. Laughter jilted his jaws as he tossed his head back, amusement gleaming against grey. Oh, they would be wonderful friends, he was sure. Perhaps their candor proved contagious. Another pair approached them, the same he’d seen previously; both youth in their prime, a shy and snow-kissed she wolf, accompanied by a bashful yet braver male. He would’ve never had the heart to turn them away regardless, but their approach had been so humble, so genuinely sweet he could have just melted completely. “Of course there’s room!” He yipped happily, springing to his paws to give them a proper greeting. “Always is.” Softly, he slipped a few steps forwards, his tightly curled tail beginning to bat itself blurry. While both were shy, he was sure they’d slip out of it. A bit of coaxing would crack their shells though. “What are your names?” He began gently. “Mine is As-"Suddenly, a she-wolf tumbled out of what seemed the very sky, accompanied by at least another three. Well, technically not. None of them seemed to be together per-say, but all of a sudden it seemed every coastline wolf couldn’t resist swinging by for a friendly hello. Within moments, a multitude swarmed, two, then three, and then a final lingering fourth. The first, their tumbler, reluctantly introduced herself, a bit embarrassed by the whole ordeal. She’d barely the opportunity to offer her name before suddenly, another one arrived, an ebony male every bit as buoyant and bubbly as Astro had quietly hoped he’d be. Corvidae, he claimed his name was, or Cori for short, and he’d given his greeting so warmly and casually, Astro completely forgot to give his own. Luckily, Chet seemed to swoop in just in the nick of time, introducing them with a tiny, playful tease directed towards a lone she-wolf loitering on the outskirts, taking him and his newfound friends into careful, thoughtful consideration. Softly, he shot her a smile, playfully gesturing with a lifted auburn forepaw. She didn’t show any sign of yielding. Was she just shy, perhaps? That seemed the case with the other as well, a somber grey she-wolf playing in the tide. Sweetly, he slipped away from the congregation, just enough to be spaced between the two loners. Perhaps he could them feel a little more at home! “Hey there!” He chirped playfully. “Why don’t you both of you come on over and say hi? Don’t be shy, we’re friendly, I promise!” A low, playful laugh rumbled from his throat. “My name’s Astro. I suppose-” He turned hopefully, giving his group a warm hopeful wag. “These are my friends! We’re a little bit large, and we’re still getting to know each other, but there’s always room for more!”Tagged: Aenemys , Astoria , Apprentice Corvidae ,@kebechet , @knox , @lexavein , @lillian , Nooné , Spirit

A puzzled and wondering expression spread across Lexavein's maw as she realized that... she wasn't as isolated as she thought she was. The female turned her head in Astro's direction, her eyes widening. A group? Even more miraculous, a welcoming one!? Lexavein's demeanor shifted from sadly mystified to joyous in a matter of seconds. She let out a spirited bark and hurriedly padded over to Astro. When Lexavein did come close, backed up a few steps as she remembered her last encounter. Her last encounter was similar to this, but Lex had gotten too close for the stranger's comfort. While gently trying to lick their chin to show her gratitude, they had snapped at her nose so roughly it bled. Lex could feel a small groove where their teeth had ripped through it even now, and ran her tongue over it as she remembered how painful it was. She also remembered another incident where she met a wandering wolf on their lonesome. The memory of how hostile that wolf was made her ears flatten shamefully. At least then, Lex wasn't getting a small injury. Just an earful of angry slurs and words from a wolf who just wanted some alone time. The female lowered her head and resumed a submissive stance a good meter away from Astro. She didn't want that history to repeat itself. Astro however, seemed like a nice fella. So did the others. The female's tail began to wag as a shimmer of excitement sparked in her dark eyes as she examined them all. There were many wolves here. Not enough for an army but... more wolves she had ever seen in a long time. The female's tongue rolled out of her mouth as she addressed Astro with a goofy and warm smile. "Hello..." She said kindly, tilting her head one way while smiling and briefly closing her eyes. "...I'm Lexavein!" Aenemys , Astoria , Apprentice Corvidae ,@kebechet , @knox , @lillian , Nooné , Spirit ,@astro
