Dried tears crusted beneath neon green eyes. The trembling of Maleah's tiny frame finally stopped. She wasn't calm, not in the slightest. Instead, she was exhausted. Her nerves were fried, all emotional reserves empty, any will to try to resist anything else gone. Why should she bother? She didn't have a chance of escaping. She was tiny, scared, and mentally exhausted. Not to mention surrounded by murderers and wolves that could go from sweet to scarcely sane in the matter of a few seconds. Her covering frame lay like a brindled rock in the valley. The tears that once streamed down her face had ceased, but that was because she was both dehydrated and afraid for her life. She would have kept crying had the frame of the female not been right next to her. She had a sinking feeling that the sweetness of the she-wolf would wear off all too quickly. Emerald eyes flinched shut as the new leader of her life stood suddenly beside her. Her foggy mind realized that she should probably keep her eyes on the she-wolf, and as she snapped her gaze back onto Marusya's lower extremities, she caught the end of a tail flick. A beckon to follow. With a noiseless whimper, Maleah's hunched and crumpled frame pattered after her. "Maleah and I will be taking a small walk, we will return shortly," the voice of the sandy murderer's lover felt like oil against her eardrums. All she saw was the movement of small paws in front of her downcast gaze, moving towards another set before moving away. She didn't need to look up to know who it was; blood on sandy paws was all the information that she needed. Her extremely hunched over frame trembled in the presence of the male. Marusya had instructed her to call him Alpha or Prophet, so not respecting him would likely have deadly consequences. Her ears were already pulled back onto her head as far as they could go, and her tail tip might as well be touching her chest because it was so far wedged beneath her. Her stomach fur was brushing on the ground already, there wasn't exactly much more that she could do to prove her submission. Neon eyes blinked as panic overtook her system. What could she do? She was at the lowest of the low, but even when she was the dirt of a wolf that these wolves thought that she was, she was reluctant to put her life into danger. She hesitated to expose her neck, and especially stomach. The pain of three separate claws raking over her body and the life draining out of her afterwards gave her nightmares and flashbacks. The lacerations in her fur showcased her checkered past. Still, she had to do something to keep herself out of the devil's grip. She settled for a jerky bow, which turned out like more of a shaky head jiggle in a downwards direction. She didn't want to stay near Prophet for too long, so the tiny she-wolf wasted no time scuttling off after his lover. Her gaze only watched the lady's paws as they moved in front of her. When she stopped, Maleah stopped. She didn't look up at the amazingly somehow smaller she-wolf when their journey suddenly halted, only at the ground near her paws. She wanted to scuttle back into the shadows, as she had done when she had first entered the Valley. To hide away with her charcoal and flame pelt without being forced to parade around behind a plethora of crazy wolves was an alternate reality Maleah wished that she was living. To go back to hiding among the trees and masking her scent would be a paradise compared to being dragged out in the open around maniacs. Suddenly, the pair's movement started again, at a much faster pace than before. Maleah had to lift her body slightly so her steps could keep up with Marusya's. They soon stopped again, near an outcrop that showed the world to Maleah. They were too far away to hear the crash of the ocean, but Maleah's neon green eyes widened as she watched the small white caps roll over on the sea of blue. It was so peaceful. Just to watch the rhythmic ebbing and flowing of the water tens of kilometers away. To have the tang of the salt in the air tickling her nostrils would be a welcome change to the scent of blood that lay heavy in the air. To have the crash of the waves drowning out all other distractions would be a dream. Her heart longed to be by the ocean, to be alone again, to have no other wolves breathing down the back of her neck, literally. "I know you will not run away, cause we will chase you if you do," the voice of Marusya broke her out of her longing and snapped her posture back down to the earth. Of course, she was right. She knew how to mask her scent, but not well enough to hide from a group of mass murderers. Even if she wanted to run, her almost permanently hunched position would slow her down and leave her in a worse position to when she started with. "I grow tired," her voice, lacking sweetness entirely, relayed her statement. Was she supposed to help? Was that a command to find shelter or simply a statement? Anxiety pulsed through her veins as she slunk behind the pregnant she-wolf towards a small hole in the hill. It reeked of stale fox, but that seemed to suit M'lady just fine. Yet another non-verbal tail flick made Maleah follow the she-wolf inside. It was a tight fit, but with both of the she-wolves only being the size of foxes themselves, it was a cramped but comfortable. It caused a spike of panic in the submissive she-wolf that the mate of a killer was tucked beside her in a tight, enclosed space that was hard to find. She could easily just kill her now and leave her corpse to rot unnoticed. No one would care. The demon pack had exchanged her with the pair of wolves for virtually nothing. The Prophet an his mate only saw her as a pup-sitter, so why would they care if she was gone? She could easily be exchanged with Elysia. "I see more in you than just a pup-sitter," the voice of Marusya sent a violent flinch through her body. What could she see in her? She was a monster, a useless waste of space. The words of her oath to the demon pack struck her again. Did she see her as a possible breeder? As a scapegoat? She already was a slave, so she didn't need to rule that one out. Her heart thumped loudly in her chest while she waited for Marusya to continue. "You will be important, you will not only be a nanny, but a teacher, which requires a great deal of trust," the pregnant she-wolf explained, her voice echoing through the darkness of the hollow. A teacher? That didn't sound nearly as bad as what Maleah was expecting her Alphess to say. Both a pup-sitter and a teacher both didn't sound bad at all. The simmering anger from before had to be suppressed as she though about how she came to have the job. Just thinking about the tiny cube of meat that lay nestled in her stomach made her retch towards the wall. "Tomorrow we will begin teaching you the ways of Adjetni, the one true God, and we will begin teaching you how our pack will work," she started again, sending another flinch through the umber she-wolf. Adjetni, the name was foreign and odd. So was the word God. She didn't understand it, but then again, she didn't need to at the moment. She had been told that she was going to be taught. It was clear that no knowledge of this 'Adjetni' was needed yet, but without a shadow of a doubt, she would definitely need to know about him by the time that Marusya's pup's were born. If she were to be a teacher, she would need to know what she was teaching. "For now though, Maleah, we shall sleep," with her command clear, Maleah nestled her head under her paw and tucked it to her chest, letting her frame finally relax for the first time in a long time. Fog. It was everywhere. The frigid moisture in the air blocked almost all of the senses. Any scents were mostly masked by icy water, and the visuals around the deep forest were minimal. The sounds though, the sounds were truly awful. Howling moans and groans split the air as unknown creatures stumbled around in the fog. Even the fog couldn't hide their decaying scent. Silhouettes of the beasts whipped and weaved through the trees. Usually, she would have ran. She would have never encountered the beasts, as she would be a few kilometers away already. However, Maleah was not stupid. The howling and growling of suspicious beasts could mean only one thing. This was a dream, and dreams were where Maleah could truly come out of her shell. There was no one that could find her, there was no one that she couldn't fight off. In dreams she was strong. In dreams she had power that she could never possess in the waking world.
A startled scream broke through the usual groans. That was unusual. She was usually blissfully alone in her dreams, apart from whatever demons her mind supplied her with. Even so, she was the hero of her night landscape, and if there was someone else in her brain, she was going to help them. Her tiny frame sprinted through the trees, fully extending as she stretched out her limbs. The feeling of wind whipping along the tufts of fur that stuck out from around her scar was amazing. A smile came to her delicate features as she ignored the danger around her. She wasn't about to let whatever devil tormented her mind take her out of this moment.
Her smile fell and her breath caught in her throat when she saw who was the wolf that screamed. It was Marusya. A skinnier, fitter Marusya. How did she get into her dream realm? It made sense, considering that most of Maleah's time was to be spent with Marusya in real life, but why her brain had placed her in her nightmare/dream, she didn't know. Was Marusya one of her new demons? Was she here to torment her as well? It seemed not, as the horribly decaying creatures were targeting her as well. Did her subconscious see Marusya as a friend? As a companion? As an ally? Either way, she was paralyzed by fear, and surrounded by an increasing group of wombies. This was why she loves to dream. She could be the hero. She could save the day/night.
With a battle cry, Maleah launched herself at the nearest beast, tearing through it's mushy flesh with confident strikes. Her paws' knives slashed through the neck of the first wombie, decapitating it horribly. The last thing Maleah wanted to see after today's events was more death, but to be the hero, she had to vanquish the demons in her dream landscape. As Marusya dodged for the first few of her attacks, Maleah continued her barrage. After that, both she-wolves were attacking the beasts. Until Marusya stumbled. Her sudden disappearance made Maleah whip around and attack the wombie that almost killed dream Marusya. When both of the females were back on their paws, they finished off the army of death that attacked them. She was elated. They won together! She returned Marusya's grin but lost that joy when she she-wolf's body warped. It twisted and crumbled horrifically before it disintegrated entirely. Almost instantly, the world around her began to fold onto itself, enveloping her into a world of black. The panting of another wolf beside her startled her more than waking up rudely from her dream. She was in a cramped space that smelled of two wolves' breath and old fox. Her neon green eyes slammed open and she instinctively wriggled backwards in an attempt to get away. It took her a few moments to remember where she was and why she was there. She was in an old fox den with Marusya, because she was tired. She could expect that,; pregnancy looked difficult. She shifted to the side, allowing the devil's mate to squeeze past first before following suit. The cramping of her muscles from their tight state was a sad reminder of her situation. She was no longer asleep. She had no power in this realm. She had no strength. Whatever wonderful teamwork her and the mother of her future responsibilities experienced while fighting imaginary beasts could never happen while she was awake. "How did you sleep?" the slightly groggy, almost kind sounding voice broke her out of her sadness about being awake. "Eventfully M'lady. I dreamed that I was in a forest and I heard a scream. I ran to the scream, and found you being attacked by wombies, so I fought them off with you. But at the end, we both just evaporated," Maleah's soft voice almost whispered. She wasn't sure if the maleficent she-wolf wanted a full answer, but the motherly kindness in her voice prompted a longer answer. She didn't meet Marusya's gaze, only staring at her paws and the scenery around her. They had evidently slept for some time, the sky was much darker than before. The waves still looked like they crashed off in the distance, which was reassuring to the skittish female. The ocean was delightfully constant. It was a safe place when looking for consistency. It would likely stay in the submissive she-wolf's mind throughout the next few periods of time. With the craziness that she predicted would assault her mind, the calm crash of the ocean would be a welcome friend. “Eventfully M'lady. I dreamed that I was in a forest and I heard a scream. I ran to the scream, and found you being attacked by wombies, so I fought them off with you. But at the end, we both just evaporated,” Maleah had answered Marusya, slight excitement came from her voice. Marusya couldn’t help but smile at the words, both in terms of Maleah becoming a little more open with her, but also because their dreams were the same. Nodding her head, she simply sat outside the small den and let the air calm her still racing heart.
“I dreamt the same thing,” Marusya finally spoke, eyes still not turning to look over the other. “Perhaps Adjetni has plans for us,” she mumbled under her breath, not really meaning for Maleah to hear, as the she-wolf would not know what she meant. Still she just looked out at the world. A safe little zone away from the beast's back at camp.
Yes, Marusya was technically a part of those beasts, mated to someone who could kill in cold-blood. She wished she could do the same and had zero mercy for those cut down in front of her. She even found their meat delicious. However, she was not a fan of slavery or forced breeding. Those were two things she wished to never experience or have in her life again. That’s what made her feel like she was different to those that would claim this rocky home theirs.
Remembering the scars that had been faintly shown when Maleah submitted to Koga, she finally glanced at the she-wolf. She could make out the scars down her neck, and other set of claw-marks down her flank. The potential was there that the two might share the same past. One forged of abuse and slavery. Chocolate orbs finally tear away from Maleah with a look that could only be described as pain and conflict.
Sighing, she remained seated. Even though she had told Koga they would be back soon, it was growing very close to dark, and yet she still had no desire to return right away. In all honesty, the black king scared her. A reminder of her past that she wished she could erase. Looking at Adramalech and his siblings, at the entirety of the group only dug up old feelings she had worked to get over. Although it looked like Marusya would still need to time to fully heal from the damage that has been done.
“I had said that I was once in a place like you were,” Marusya continued, her breath stilling, chest tight with pain. She wasn’t ready to tell her story but a story needed to be told. Perhaps one day she could tell the younger she-wolf the full details, if she wished, but for now a synopsis of her life would do. “I lied,
I had a life similar to this, however, it was worse. I never knew my mother, not sure if you do or not, but that’s beside the point. My father, I can only call him such cause I don’t know his real name, he kept me as a slave since childbirth,” she paused, the memories flashing before her eyes. Throat closed tightly around the next set of words that she wanted to speak.
“I was used, several times, I - I had children,” her voice cracked, “I think, I - I don’t remember, a lot is missing,” a shyness came over her appearance as her head dipped down, eyes turned away. “I am not a wolf by any means, it wasn’t until Koga found me that I even traveled outside of my birthing den,” a rough laugh barked from her throat. It was husky and broken, used instead of a sob or a whimper. It was a show of toughness.
“I never knew how to hunt or defend myself, not until Koga. Koga is so much more to me than a mate. I owe him my life, my being, everything,” she stated, her eyes tearing up but a smile turning her features to something brighter. Finally she turned to Maleah, eyes glistening with a new expression. It was one of hope.
“I hope that we can do the same for you, save you, we will show you the way to a happy life, without fear or pain, we will be your guide, you only need to follow us,” Marusya finished. To those who might have overheard or to have afterthought of this conversation later, might think that this was pure manipulation. The entire thing. That would be false. Marusya truly believed and desired to save Maleah from this life. She hoped that the younger she-wolf would take her words to heart and follow them, becoming a willing member to their group.

I R I S
"The soul that sees beauty may sometimes walk alone."
Surprised by how excited and jumpy the female had suddenly gotten, the white pelted wolf unintentionally tilted her head to the side slightly, her ears going with her head. She looked like a confused, helpless pup. Of course, she was unaware of what she looked like at that moment. There was no mirror, obviously. So, she sat there naively with the face of a child. "Y-You do...?" She asked quietly. "How old are you?" Iris continued on, curiosity evident in her quiet voice. Iris could see the way Hirsch's body language shifted as she was still sitting. She looked guilty, almost. What was she guilty for? Once the obvious anxiousness pressed through in Hirsch's appearance, Iris felt it might be because of her own. She slowly straightened herself back up, so she didn't look as upset. "Well...which way would you like to set out? What kind of prey do you prefer?" The darker female asked. Iris glanced around to see her options. To the west, seemed more of a wooded area, which could mean rabbits, maybe deer. Iris was quite good at hunting both - she spent most of her life in the woods, hiding from predators and other wolves that might've lingered about. Her small body and agility allowed her to run through and around the trees, just enough to slightly confuse her meal and catch them off guard. She spoke her mind, "We could go west...i-if you'd like. There might be rabbits, or deer in there...I'm pretty good at catching those..." Iris tried not to sound like she was gloating or bragging about her ability. She would never want to come off as that kind of wolf.
OOC: Sorry for such a long wait! I was working on a little of it for a while, and tried to add bits and pieces here and there. It's not great but, at least it's something, I suppose. @hirsch

Adramalech simply looked over what was happening, taking it in with his charcoal black eyes. Knowing all too well that they would need to move, his mind wandered completely from what was happening. He needed to find a bigger area of operation, they need to start traveling, and he definitely would need to find a place to settle most of his pack down. Turning towards his siblings, he eyed them, and realized that Beelzebub and Suki had gone missing. Wondering where they went, he would be sure to question his brother. But of course, he would let his brother and sister get away with just about anything they would want. Bringing his large body to look towards everyone that was around, he barked for their attention. Waiting until everyone was looking towards him, he brought his charcoal eyes to shift and move towards Koa before moving back towards the two cultists he had just allianced with. "We will be moving out as soon as everyone is ready, so get your shit together and lets go," He growled out before heading towards the entrance to the valley. Making sure he was being followed, he moved through the entrance, hoping that there was something waiting on the other side. The pair lay contently lazing within the nearest bit of brush, comfortably half-curled within the crook of the other's neck. Every muscle, every joint lay perfectly lax, wrapped loosely within a waxen-pale hide. Warmth radiated from her frosted pelt, a perfect alieve from autumn's small, adamant chill as he pressed himself further into her. They'd abandoned their former platonic friendship, as wonderfully amiable as it was, for something fantastically new. They'd consummated their union, their matrimony - their kin couldn't be far behind. Rightful heirs to a title that by all means, belonged to them, as terribly cruel, violent as it was. They'd bring their beauties into the world by winter, if all went accordingly, born into Adramalach's ivory kingdom. Smoothly, he slipped a salmon tongue over his ornery lover's ear, unable to hide a sharp, gripping shudder of pleasure. "Are you ready?" he purred, his tone gentle, teasing. "I'm willing to bet they'd be even more beautiful than Adramalach's." Softly, he slid a shadowed ashen tail down her spotless, pale spine, a gently flirting gesture. While partially in jest, with a mate as lovely as this, what other logical outcome would there be? "Not to mention better fighters." He teased, gently nipping an exposed white ear. Speak of the devil, Adramalach's brash signature bark suddenly reached large, ebony-tipped ears, twitching forwards to catch the sound. A soft, annoyed puff of air expelled through ebony nostrils; an innocuous, quiet irritation at their announced interruption. They were being rallied again - but for what purpose? Adra had announced everything worth listening to by the time the sun had risen; what possible wondrous scrap of news could he now have? Reluctantly, Beelzebub rose from his position, stretching out long, onyx limbs behind him. Duty beckoned. Dark, charcoal eyes pierced into his ink-touched form, holding a hint of curiosity - but that'd be answered later. He'd no current need to explain himself, especially to Adramalech. The midnight black male had granted him practically unprecedented power. "We will be moving out as soon as everyone is ready, so get your shit together and let's go." Moving already? That seemed quite sudden, considering their morning stance. Maybe the newcomers had influenced his decision? Either way, the war-scarred brute seemed firmly settled in his decision, decidedly ushering his growing hoard towards the valley's gaping exit. A sudden, pulsing shudder of excitement pierced the pitch-black male's entire being - new territory meant new battles, new recruits, new slaves. "You hear that Suki?" He whispered, his voice holding a hint of adamant, eager anticipation. "We're getting new toys." ~Exit To Dry Wood~ Tagged: Alpha Adramalech , @ako , @koa , @koga , @lilith , @elysia , Maleah , @marusya , @suki

Post by Maleah on Nov 6, 2017 18:33:38 GMT -8
“I dreamt the same thing,” the voice of the groggy pregnant she-wolf sparked her interest. Maleah wasn't aware that having the same dream was possible! Could Marusya have actually been inside her dream landscape? If so, how did she get in? What did she see? Did she see anything at all? Was she searching? What if she found something? How would she use the information? A small whimper left her lips as questions flooded her mind. She was scared no doubt, why wouldn't she be? “Perhaps Adjetni has plans for us,” her voice muttered, mentioning this 'Adjetni' again. Maleah was both intrigued and frightened by this mysterious persona. Was he another Alpha? The Alpha of Alphas? “I had said that I was once in a place like you were,” the increasingly familiar voice began again, "I lied." Maleah's eyes flashed upwards. Her tiny brindled form began to shake. Did the sandy female only tell her that to get her to eat the chunk of wolf? Was she about to be scorned for being so naive? Was her presumption of murder about to come true? "I had a life similar to this, however, it was worse. I never knew my mother, not sure if you do or not, but that’s beside the point. My father, I can only call him such cause I don’t know his real name, he kept me as a slave since childbirth,” Marusya launched into her story, taking a pause to collect herself. Maleah's eyes widened as she listened to the she-wolf. Her neon gaze trailed up to Marusya's face as she replayed her life internally while talking. “I was used, several times, I - I had children,” Marusya's voice cracked. Maleah couldn't help but have her eyes tear up as she gasped. The threats of being used as a breeder suddenly became all to real. Beelzebub's words were obviously not hollow, but to know that Marusya had experienced it made her both fear for her future and sympathize with. “I think, I - I don’t remember, a lot is missing,” Marusya's next word tore her heart a little bit more. She didn't want to even think about having children from abuse, but then not knowing for sure where they were, what had happened, or if it had happened at all. There weren't any pups with her from past litters. Perhaps that was why she stole Maleah away to be her nanny; to reassure herself that the experience was real, and that they would stay. “I am not a wolf by any means, it wasn’t until Koga found me that I even traveled outside of my birthing den. I never knew how to hunt or defend myself, not until Koga. Koga is so much more to me than a mate. I owe him my life, my being, everything,” the next part of Marusya's story, accompanied by a barking laugh, didn't affect Maleah as much as the first half. The mention of Koga put a dampen on her spirits. He was terrifyingly powerful, and knew how to make himself horrendous. She didn't trust him at all. She would much rather stick with Marusya alone than to have Marusya, Koga, and herself all together. He could kill her easier than he had killed the last she-wolf. She couldn't put up a fight. One bite and it would be over. The ghost of claws raking over her frame made her finch away from the imaginary Koga was that attempting to kill her. Suddenly, two pairs of teary eyes locked. Maleah's heart almost stopped at the fleeting moment of contact. Her neon green gaze slammed instantaneously into the ground. The pregnant she-wolf had a smile plastered onto her face, a teary one, but a smile none the less. “I hope that we can do the same for you," she began. She wanted to make her owe Koga her life, being, and everything? She didn't want to get that close to the dusty male. To owe him her life, he would need to save her, but Marusya was the one that saved her from the demon pack. "Save you, we will show you the way to a happy life, without fear or pain, we will be your guide, you only need to follow us,” Marusya finished. It was an amazing prospect. A life free of pain, free of fear, only with happiness. Maleah doubted that whatever idea Marusya had would rid her of fear. It was so deeply ingrained in her to simply cower and hide, to stay out of the way, to live in fear of the wolves around her, whether they be present or hiding in the bushes. She never would live free of fear unless she was fully surrounded by wolves that she trusted. Granted, it didn't take too many wolves to surround her, but trusting, especially with most of the wolves around her being psychotic, was extremely difficult. She was beginning to trust Marusya much more than anyone else, other than Elysia, but everyone else was terrifying. Still, she couldn't help but want to live in a world as described by Marusya. Where she was free of fear, where she was free of pain, where she could actually be happy. Happiness was something almost foreign to Maleah, except for in dreams. Even then, most of her dreams were nightmares. Giving her head a little nod, Maleah flicked her gaze up to Marusya's face. "I would like that," her child-like voice spoke softly through a tiny smile as her gaze slowly lowered to the ground. She was almost ashamed that she wanted to follow the two maniacs. It made her feel tainted. Still, it was something she desired, and something that she presumed that she would be roped into anyways. She might as well go willingly. Just from her short experience with the pair of lovers, it was clear that they left no room to say 'no.' Any struggle she put up would be useless and a waste of energy. The faintest of barks caught her ears and twitched them a little. It was just another observation to file away in her head. She wasn't about to tell Marusya. It would look like she thought that she was ignorant or hard of hearing. The fear of being ripped to shreds by the jaws of the wolves around her was ever present, so misspeaking was not on her list of things to do ever. @marusya @koga Alpha Adramalech @everybody

Adramalech's sharp bark had Ako's dark silver- grey ears pricking, latching on to each word. "We will be moving out as soon as everyone is ready, so get your shit together and lets go." Finally. They were moving. Despite casting another pitying glance at the small white she- wolf, it was a surprising eagerness that lent Ako's massive paws speed as she loped toward the black brute, toward the exit of the valley. Trailing slightly behind and to the side of Adramalech, in silence, she kept her gaze solidly, determinedly forward as the rock walls eventually opened up around her. It marked more than the exit. To Ako, it marked change.
Finally, they were leaving that pit of failure and humiliation, that stood as a less- than- welcome reminder of Ako's defeat.
She would shed any attachment to the events of the Valley. That which had transpired, those who had died, her original plans, none of it mattered any more. All that mattered was the future. She would rebuild. They were leaving the dust of the past behind, and travelling to a- hopefully- glorious future. Where Ako would be powerful once more. It was time to begin again. |Exit to- Dry Woods|

The sharp bark of the obsidian male made the tawny male raise an eyebrow. He knew his power, that was for sure. "We will be moving out as soon as everyone is ready, so get your shit together and lets go." he growled out before stalking off. Nyrein gave a huff before getting to his paws. He gave his whole body a stretch. It started with his legs and he leaned forwards and backwards. He dipped his back to give it a crack, and lastly he rolled his neck to get the pain of Lilith's teeth out of the back of his head. He made a move to follow the group of wolves, but looking back into what had just happened, he wasn't all that sure that he wanted to join them. Giving anyone watching a flick of his tail, Nyrein stalked away in the opposite direction. That just wasn't his shit. He didn't know where he was going and he didn't quite care. Iris had looked upon Hirsch's excitement with a bit of confusion. "How old are you?" the white she-wolf had asked, tilting her head curiously. Hirsch felt a little embarrassed. She was an adult, yes, a fully grown and sexually mature wolf, but this question suddenly made her feel very small and very young. She knew she was no longer a pup, but her companion's question certainly made her wonder if she was coming off as an inexperienced juvenile. "I'm nearly three now." Hirsch started, feeling the need to justify herself to her friend. "I've only recently left my family, hoping to start my own." She straightened up a bit, puffing out her chest and consciously becoming more confident in herself. She wasn't a pup, no, and she was determined to cement herself as an adult. "I struck out on my own, in the search of a mate. I realized I'm a bit more romantically inclined than my brothers." She chuckled slightly. "Plus, I figured I'm young and, while not nearly as pretty as you, I'm still decently attractive. Maybe there's a few cute males out there I can flirt with.....maybe one I could settle down with too...." The thought of falling in love warmed her a bit, a softness flooding her. She, again, felt a bit embarrassed, once she realized all she had shared to Iris. "We could go west...i-if you'd like. There might be rabbits, or deer in there...I'm pretty good at catching those..." Hirsch cleared her throat upon hearing Iris' response. "Westward sounds as good an idea as any. I'm sure we could track and find a good deer to share." Hirsch eyed Iris. The white female was small, but a bit stockier than she was. Agile, but a heavy hitter, most certainly. Hirsch was incredibly light and quick, but with a hell of a bite. She figured if one of them chased a deer, the other could easily flank and take it down. Hirsch had been one of the better hunters in her family. Two wolves could, with the right strategy and teamwork, take on something a bit bigger than some rabbits. "We better get a move on, then." Hirsch stretched her back and legs before finally moving her dark hide on to her next adventure. She trotted onwards, through the tall grass of the prairie, all of her senses on high alert, aiming herself westwards. "I trust that if you smell something, you'll alert me. I'll do the same, of course!" She had become a bit more serious, a bit more focused. This was her favorite game, and one that took all of her attention to play. They had only just set out, but hunting with another wolf was exciting to her. The set up was just as important as the kill, and her body tingled with excitement. She soon crested a small hill, and down below she saw the pines. She held her head aloft and breathed deeply. Deer. She looked back to Iris "Do you smell them? If we do this right, we should be eating very well" She immediately set off down the slope, loping towards the forest. Her game had begun. |Exit to the Muddy Pines|

The black-eyed brute had failed to provide an adequate response towards their tiny request, fixated on seemingly more important matters. No matter - the midnight-kissed male had granted him practically unprecedented power in his court - surely, a slave would go unmissed. Regardless of rank, Marusya had doubtlessly found something fantastically interesting within their whimpering recruit; the same glimmering sheen of potential he'd first granted her. "Perhaps something more," she'd whispered softly in regards towards her tepid future, something more than mere slavery. "But she will have to learn a lot before she is entrusted to our babes," Marusya concluded swiftly, perhaps catching onto his original suspicions. What a wonderful understatement. Shift the small, quivering she-wolf into something useful, advantageous unto them, and them alone. Yet already, they'd attained their daily victory, bribed the brindled lass into sampling the smallest morsel of her own kind, eating it entirely. Her willingness had been crucial, demonstrating the deepest, furthest depths of terror within her warped complex, the contortions of constant fear. She'd already been partially broken, willing to exchange morals, ethics for the faintest, dullest promise of potential safety. Her traumas, both past and present, had morphed her, shattered any sheening hint of independent spirit, individual personality. Little more than a small, quivering shell of a once girl. They'd fix that. It'd be difficult, by all means. They'd need the correct words, partnered with perfect framing. First, they'd need to establish trust, or at the very least, a loyalty towards her two saviors. Tempt her with promises of perfection, whispers of worlds free of fear and pain, painting a portrait of their own best interests. Marusya had whisked her away the moment they'd received Adramalach's request, already granting her vague hints of salvation, tokens of truth. The silver-tongued she-wolf could easily convince her, painting beautiful promises of godly oaths, deathless life, of her own priceless value unto her and her alone. She had suffered a similar trauma, unthinkable suffering far beyond what any wolf he knew experienced. If any wolf could ever convincibly relate, Marusya could, marveling her own tales of terror. Maleah would find within her a valuable ally, a wolf aware of the world's cruel injustices. As for him on the other hand - he would have to approach it cleverly, with careful wariness. Automatically, she'd assume the worst lingering within his intentions, near instant doom. Small kindnesses, however, could slowly convince her, coax her into lowering her guard. He wouldn't take authority in her traitor, although he'd analyze, observe - it'd only impede her progress, especially if he ever had to discipline her. Marusya was more likely to be the best mentor for their frightened lass. Instead, he'd show her small, intangible courtesies; fetch her favorite pieces of prey, a kind word of praise, a positive affirmation. Sooner than later, she would shift her view, aided by Marusya's benevolent insistence, viewing him as her Alpha, her prophetic leader rather than her recurring horror. A brash warning bark lulled him from his thoughts, ebony-tipped ears snapping to attention. They were moving once more, traversing a path the pair had traveled in order to arrive. Arid valley air brimmed with perfectly bright prospects; adamant, eager anticipation lingering within each wolf's gaze. He and his love would follow, assisting their allies relocation until they'd found themselves firmly settled. Perhaps they'd pick a slab of territory of their own, converging once and for all with Adramalech as one, as separate but equal branches. Softly, he emitted his own bark, quietly beckoning the two other members of his party for the beginning of a limitless, eternal legacy, of their own infinite legend. I R I S
"The soul that sees beauty may sometimes walk alone."
"I'm nearly three now." Her friend spoke. Iris listened to her friend begin to explain herself and realized she might have offended Hirsch unintentionally with the age question. She hadn't meant to, she was just curious, seeing as she had said she hadn't been many places, so Iris assumed she was young. Not that Hirsch was immature, nor unintelligent. "I-I didn't mean to offend you..." She mumbled, trying to excuse herself. "I'm only recently three, myself." She said. Iris' ears perked up at the bit of a compliment her companion gave. "I'm not...pretty...like you say I am, H-Hirsch..." Iris shook her head, her dull eyes looking away.
Thinking back to the hunt they planned to have, Iris realized how hungry she was. Her last real meal was back on the coastline, with her old friends. She'd had a few snacks here and there but, nothing she was really proud of catching, like a deer, as they hoped they'd get. The thought of getting to split a large animal with Hirsch made Iris a little excited. How nice it would be to treat herself, after such a long time! She also wanted to stretch her legs, as they were growing a little lazy. They were almost like sticks, but, looks can be deceiving. These guys can move her small body faster than she could ever imagine, and with quite a jump, too.
Iris straightened up once Hirsch started moving ahead of her, following behind her. The tall grass brushed against her side, which did tickle a bit, but, it was easily ignored as she kept sight of the dark female in front of her, careful not to lose her. Once Hirsch stopped, Iris stopped as well, looking down over the slight cliff to the beautiful pine trees.
She'd never been to this region before. The trees were quite a sight, yes, but she could see the ground from where she was, and it did not look very pleasant. The very noticeable mud looked thick and difficult to move through. The female could feel herself worry a bit, the fear of getting caught in the sludge increasing by the minute, but, she wasn't even down there yet. For all she knows, she could be completely overestimating. And besides, if she did, hopefully her friend would help her out.
"Do you smell them? If we do this right, we should be eating very well." Hirsch said. Before Iris could respond, the energetic female was already heading down towards the bottom of the cliff, taking a much safer route along the side. The shy wolf prepared herself as she followed after her companion, hoping for the best.

Lilith had had a grand idea. Bellatrix was almost excited to set out as a trio and look for something new beyond the boredom of rocks. But for some reason or another Lilith’s proposal had be left unanswered by Adra before he announced they would move elsewhere. Yellow eyes widened as head was allowed to tilt, watching the movement of the rest towards new territory. Maybe this place would be of some excitement. Once Adra had moved away from his sister, had only then would Bella walk up to her companion. A little wary of the other's emotions having been ignored, or was she. Bellatrix hadn’t heard a conversation, maybe she was just going deaf. But Bellatrix had noticed was that the male had gone, had he not wanted greatness? Maybe not... but he was not much of importance to the older gal.“Lilith.” Form glided to a stop by the other she-devil. “Shall we get moving.” Head gestured to the rest as they followed after the leader Adra, her leader… --Exit to Dry Woods-- OCC: (A bit too short, but hopefully will be longer on the next post.) @lilith Alpha Adramalech @everyoneelse

Marusya gave a genuine smile when Maleah finally accepted the proposal. On one hand, this was good for the overall group and the start of breaking down Maleah's morals and ethics; on the other hand, Marusya might beginning to make her first friend. Could someone who was deprived of parental love and nurture, of kindness and forgiveness, of all normalcy be able to make a real friend? Did Marusya even know the true meaning of 'friendship'? Was she capable of love and kindness, or of any gentle emotion? Only time could truly tell.
The older she-wolf sat in silence, letting the wind cool her body and mind. The quietness was appreciated. Not often did she choose to leave Koga's side willingly, but with a new companion, she wondered if she would begin venturing into the world mostly on her own now. Independence was something she wanted to grow, and the taste of it back with the others was addicting. That was her first moment of doing something she wanted. She wanted Maleah and she got what she wanted, by her own jaws. A small smile began forming at her mouth as the beginnings of peace and happiness were blossoming in her chest. Wasn't often these emotions came together for her, but at the moment, away from all the others and just with herself and her new interest, it was easy for these emotions to sweep her away.
Her momentary bliss was ruined by an echoing bark, followed by another familiar signal. Marusya did not truly enjoy her time with the other group, while similar in ways, she found them to be more unprecidented and brash than her own groups future. Eyes looking back towards Maleah, she noticed that she had also noticed the beckons. Standing, she stretched out her muscles before finally looking towards Maleah. "Come, seems we are being summoned," her voice sounded bored, almost irritated that they would call for them.
"Also, now that you are apart of us," Marusya began, noticing the hunched submissiveness, "and with plans for you to be more than an omega, and much more than a mere slave, start holding yourself with a little more confidence." Marusya wanted her group mates to appear tough, even if inside they wanted to roll over. Especially Maleah, the others might target her, even under the protection of Koga. Flicking her tail as she moved, she spoke again, "Don't push yourself though, it took me a long while to stop scraping my stomach on the ground," she flashed a small, teasing smile to show that her statement wasn't meant to be a sad one but a friendly reminder that even though Marusya ruled over Maleah, she was once in a horrible position in life.
From there they walked in silence until they reached the area they had left a group standing, only few members remained, including her lover. A small giddy step and she half trotted, half sprinted towards his side. Immediately she greeted him with her nose buried in his neck and rapid licks among his jaw line. Once their brief moment of togetherness ended, Marusya stepped back from her mate to look at him with a bright gaze. "This is Maleah," she finally spoke, introducing their new member to him officially. "She will begin learning our ways of Adjetni tomorrow, today, lets make sure she gets a good meal and learns to fit within our group," the last bit was entirely directed to Koga, her voice held a new sound, a happier sound, but also one that sounded confident. She was growing, and perhaps she will even succeed her own mate's standards.
"Also, I assume we are moving out, do you know where?" was her next question, curious eyes surveying those that stayed. Some just seemed to be slow on the go, or reluctant to leave the area of rocks and salty air. Flicking a tail behind her, she looked to Koga to begin leading the way for their party. She truly hoped, secretly of course, that they would not stay much longer with the Raven King's group.

"Come, seems we are being summoned," the voice of Marusya still made her flinch after the period of silence between them. The first bark that rang through the air was unfamiliar, but the tiny she-wolf could assume that it was the inky demon. The only time she had heard him speak, she was so terrified that she hadn't paid too much attention to the timbre of his voice. Most of that interaction was hard to remember due to the sheer amount of terror that was shooting through her. Maleah gave her brindled head a small nod in response to the power she-wolf's command. Any hint of the emotion that she had expressed earlier was non-existent. The friendliness that she somehow felt before was gone. The robotic, terrifying she-wolf was back. "Also, now that you are apart of us," her bored voice began again, sending a shoot of panic through her body. What could that mean? Was she going to make her eat wolf again? Was she going to torture her somehow? That would contradict the life of no pain that she had been promised. Even so, the unpredictability of the swollen she-wolf scared her. "And with plans for you to be more than an omega, and much more than a mere slave, start holding yourself with a little more confidence." The remaining words of the sandy she-wolf should have made her breathe out a sigh of relief. Instead, it made her worry. What if the demons she would be surrounded by when they returned noticed her shift in stance? What if they attacked her for not being submissive enough? She had Marusya's command to follow out, but her own conflict with the wolves that they were returning to to deal with. The rest of the words caught up with her. They had other wolves with them that they considered slaves? Would they be jealous of her position as a nanny? Would they attack? Was that why Marusya wanted her to be more confident? To create a facade of being of a slightly higher authority? "Don't push yourself though, it took me a long while to stop scraping my stomach on the ground," the small smile accompanying the joke gave Maleah a small slice of relief. She didn't need to go very far. She just needed to extend her comfort zone millimeter by millimeter until she could please Marusya. She didn't have to be pushed over the edge. She had her own will to extend herself as she liked. That is, until she was too slow and forced to shape up. She was hoping that she could go fast enough to not have to be forced up, but slow enough to keep herself out of trouble. As Marusya began to walk away, Maleah slunk after her, planning to slowly relax herself a tiny bit as they walked back. It started with her ears. They stuck so firmly to the back of her skull that they might as well be glued there permanently. Every powerful wolf she had seen had held their ears shoved forwards. She wasn't stupid enough to simply shove her ears forwards. Every wolf under them other than the lowest of low omegas held their ears in a relaxed manner. As the pair walked, Maleah slowly lifted her ears off of her skull. They weren't far up, only a few centimeters, but it gave the she-wolf a very different image. Her tail tip brushed along her front legs when they swung back as they walked, tickling her elbows. With every step, the brindled she-wolf slowly relaxed her tail, allowing it to hang limply behind her. It didn't have a small curl at the end, it was just like a log sticking down from her flank. That was all she was willing to experiment with on their walk back. She wasn't going to lift her hunched form off the ground nor out of it's curled up position. She moved her tail and ears. That was more than enough to show that she was trying to follow M'Lady's command. Her mind had gone off into the distance as they walked in silence. Her neon green eyes were lost in the rhythmic removal of paws in front of her as the swollen she-wolf walked ahead. The slight swing of her extended abdomen caught the top of her vision, creating a pendulum effect that relaxed the perpetually anxious and conflicted she-wolf. Her light paw steps fell into time with Marusya's, that was, until they sped up. In her daze, Maleah also sped up, simply following along. It wasn't until they stopped moving entirely and the sound of affectionate licking could be heard that Maleah finally realized that they were back at the group. Her posture was way out of line. It was semi-relaxed, semi-confident. In the presence of the evil wolves around her, her fear came crashing down on her. Instantly, her posture slammed back to it's original position. Ears noticeably flattened themselves back on Maleah's cranium, and her tail wedged itself back under her now trembling frame. She expected a punishment. Any moment now, teeth were going to slam down into her scruff, claws were going to rake over her back, and she would never do it again. That was the way it worked. Every time. No matter the protection she had from Marusya, Koga still had the capacity to take charge. He was the Alpha. The Prophet, whatever that was. He could easily overpower Marusya and leave her clinging to life in a matter of seconds. "This is Maleah. She will begin learning our ways of Adjetni tomorrow, today, lets make sure she gets a good meal and learns to fit within our group," Marusya relayed to her mate. The pep that she had held before was returning, this time in the form of happiness rather than reminiscent sadness. Maleah was a little envious of the she-wolf. She wanted to love someone as much as Marusya loved Koga. Stuck as the she-devil's nanny, there was no chance of that happening. The only thing she could fawn over was the pups soon to emerge from Marusya. "Also, I assume we are moving out, do you know where?" Marusya continued. Maleah could only shudder out a sigh of relief. Leaving the bloodstained lands would be refreshing for her mental state. She could only hope that they would be able to leave sooner rather than later. Perhaps even leaving the gargantuan inky demon and his pack behind. She didn't want to stay with them. The ashen male, Beelzebub, scared her more than Koga might ever. @marusya @koga Alpha Adramalech @beelzebub @suki @koa @elysia @lilith @bellatrix

Elysia "Faking a smile is so much easier than explaining why you're sad," She was left with the venerability of her own lonely presence once Suki had left her, the white female disappearing with the bastard that had instilled so much terror within Elysia in the first place. It was terrifying to watch from her isolated space as everything passed her. She had lost track of Maleah--which was a whole other shred of fear that stung her bones--and without her new acquaintances to occupy the space where she had been dumped, it felt as if everyone was staring at her, sizing up how well her pure coat would sit across their shoulders, or exactly how much meat they would be able to rip from her fragile figure in order to sate their hungry gullets. Her gut churned at these thoughts, leaving her gorgeous gaze of aquamarine and diamond to slip to the ground in an attempt to avoid catching anyones eye. Elysia felt like a butterfly trapped in a pit of scorpions.
It was hard to miss the crunching of dried valley grass caught under the paws of the wolf who approached, her figure tensing as she tried not to flinch away from those ashen paws that stopped by to examine her pathetic existence. Elysia's bones ached as she tried to curl in on herself, bracing for the sting that would come from the unknown scorpion who gazed upon her, no doubt with hunger flashing in their beady eyes, her assumption being made without daring to raise her dual optics to challenge the presence that had decided to torment the trembling girl. The stranger's hot breath caressed the fur of Elysia's flattened ear, a disturbing indicator that the presence of this being was far closer than Elysia would have preferred, especially in this situation, but what she was greeted with were merely words. "Be careful of Suki. She is no friend to you. Trust no-one here."
Elysia's mind went blank for a few seconds as she tried to process the information. Was this stranger trying to tell her that Suki was dangerous? Of course she knew not to trust anyone in this place other than Maleah and now Suki, so why was this she-wolf trying to throw her off? Elysia had heard what Suki had said, she had heard the genuine pain and raw dread in her voice. To her, Suki was a duality; a tormented soul that had been trapped within this hell-hole and forced to play a demonic role, of course Elysia had been fooled. This stranger must not have seen or noticed this other side of Suki, which meant the snowy she-wolf really trusted Elysia to expose this unknown side just to try and help her...while this stranger had tried to warn her of this danger, she had only been pushed further into the enticement as she tried to grapple onto some kind of hope, and that hope was Suki.
A strong, demanding bark slapped her across the face, her gaze flickering towards the devil-incarnate as he called for the attention of his wolves, which now technically included her. "We will be moving out as soon as everyone is ready, so get your shit together and lets go," Moving? Where? Elysia's nerves bundled in the back of her throat in the form of bile as she shakily hauled herself onto her paws, holding back the burning tears that had brimmed against her eyes ever since she had been forced to the ground. The only shit she had to get together were her emotions, which would be hard to do since she could've sworn she only felt absolutely nothing but terror as she trailed lowly and quietly behind the male who lead them toward the valley entrance. It seemed that there was no escaping this fate now.
