Softly, a mottled brown maw slipped into the crook of an ochre neck, burying itself between fine bronzed fur. Giddy delight gleaned within glistening chocolate dark eyes, beautifully demonstrated by each buoyant, eager limb. Playfully, a pink tongue peppered his neck and jaw in kisses; a delightedly animated display of her own unyielding devotions. Carefully, a clouded tail wove its way around her brindled slim build in his own show of smiling affections; swiping a salmon tongue against auburn fur coiling against calico jaws. Once they'd concluded their show of affection, she briefly stepped back, her eyes holding a happy brightness unaccustomed to her timid gaze. "This is Maleah," she began sweetly, her voice finally beginning to bear an effortless authority. Already, her stance held the carefree, easy confidence befitting a brindled queen's rank, quite the fitting image for the bearer of his offspring. "She will begin learning our ways of Adjetni tomorrow," she pressed on proudly, showcasing her shaking pet with a hazed, faint hint of pleasure. "But today," she concluded, "Let's make sure she gets a good meal and learns to fit within our group." Two simple tasks, by all means. Unfortunately, the small, quivering she-wolf seemed a tad hesitant to comply with the latter. They'd fix that. Maleah - weren't names powerfully wondrous things? Long hazel ears had practically hewn themselves to the sides of her onyx head, plastered harshly against her skull. Her tail lay tightly wound against her auburn frame, tucked protectively beneath her brindled underside; wedged so far in front it gently brushed the back of her forepaws. What a wonderfully familiar image! Aside from a faint shift in hue, if he squinted his eyes, it was the same quivering slip he'd found a year prior, down to the trembling. Marusya had seen herself reflected in emerald pools, a perfect apprentice to rear in Adjetni's laws. A soft, gentle smile found his features as the brute stepped forwards, taking her in with a warily analytical eye. "Welcome Maleah," he addressed her; the vaguest, faintest vestiges of kindness tugging his tone. "No further need to cower. Carry yourself with a wisp of dignity." He eyed her form, the faintest amusement dancing behind dark eyelids. "Unfurl your ears, your tail. You are of us now, our kin - and more importantly, mine. Only slaves hang their heads so low; that, and the lowest of low infidels. You, my dear, are neither." "None will harm you while I am here - not Adramalech, not Suki, not Beelzebub. Consider any connections you might've had with their party now permanently severed. You are of Adjetni's offspring, far beyond any brutish rabble. And-" he paused, his tone holding a hazed, soft hint of gentleness. "If that is not enough, if you cannot summon courage to carry yourself with pride, think of it as this. Out of every wolf, regardless of rank or beauty, Marusya favored you most. The absolute best in her eyes. And so, in mine. Carry yourself as one anointed for marvelous future things." At this, he slipped by Marusya's side, gently swiping his salmon tongue over her cheek. "You will learn our laws, our ways in time to care for our future offspring. But not of now. Instead, focus on your one command - and learn to carry yourself as we." Shifting his attentions towards his lover, he lightly nipped the back on an ochre ear. "To answer your question, my love, I'm afraid I'm entirely unaware of our travels. However, for now, we'll follow to assist them with their journey and acquisition. And then-" he smiled, gently bending a browned head to whisper in his lover's ear. "With their assistance, we'll acquire our own." Tagged: Alpha Adramalech, @marusya, Maleah

"We will be moving out as soon as everyone is ready, so get your shit together and let’s go.”
Harsh words grated against a mind blank with horror, shaking the silver female from her daze. Lavender-glazed eyes drifted to the owner of the voice. Koa was surprised to see Adramalech’s ebony form already stalking toward the valley’s entrance. Behind him loped Ako, who seemed all too happy to leave this place behind. Not long after, Koa had no doubt that the brutish alpha would be followed by the remainder of his unstable brood.
The gray bitch followed suit, moving at a brisk but reluctant trot toward the entrance. Some part of her didn’t want to leave this place behind; the same part of her still desperately clinging to the hope that somewhere, whether it was within that damned valley or far from it, Paloma and Fukar were alive. Perhaps she would never see them again, but even still she hoped against hope itself that they still lived.
Koa’s pace slowed further until, as she reached the cavelike entrance to the valley, she moved no more. A solemn glance was thrown over her shoulder, an intake of the sight that weeks before had been beautiful and exciting. This was the place she had reunited with two of her oldest, closest friends. This was the place where she had felt she belonged for the first time in a long time. And yet, this was also the place where perhaps the most tumultuous chapter of her life had begun - and only just. Something in her gut whispered that there was so much more to come. And so, with a sigh, she threw a few quiet words into the wind.
“Be safe, if you’re out there. I’ll miss you, dear friends.”
And with that, she slipped out of the valley, following her clouded future.

It'd been the briefest of walks; the softest, gentlest slip forwards when he found himself grasped between jutting burgundy jaws. Steaming breath stung crimson eyes, singing the soft, flimsily weak flesh pooling within puce eyes. Odd specks of color danced between the broken remnants of his remaining vision; sharp, piercing snaps building within browned ears. Brash, constant buzzes cloaked the arid valley air, increasing slowly in pitch, intensity. Something had gone horribly wrong in the moment they'd left, a deity's angered disturbance. Desperately, the darkened male attempted to assess any possible source of sin, any fault or failure that might've been committed between the two that'd trigger their worship's rage. They'd consecrated the sacrifice before gifting it towards the terribly bloodstained brute. taken care to set aside the measliest, smallest morsel of his latest kill as tender, holy tribute. What else had changed? The alliance? The agreement? The g- The girl - there, there lay the source of their trouble. He'd failed to properly compensate the clouded brute for the small, quivering she-wolf, as miniscule a gift it might've been. He'd indebted himself; a foolish act, entirely unbefitting of his fiery underseer's first prophet. A wolf that walked in his ways could never carry under those of any worldly Alphas. However, before he could free himself, he would have to pay back in full. Go fetch a lass of similar age, build, and breed, and bring her back to Adra to replace their rowan beauty. "My love," he muttered, swiping a salmon tongue over his lover's slim, mottled jaw. "You and I will reunite again within the next moon. Adjetni beckons. I fear I've a debt to pay." ~Exit to: Ferus Border Outskirts~ Tagged: Maleah , @marusya

Even after the short time passed, she expected to have jaws slammed into her shivering bodice. She wasn't following the orders of Marusya by squeezing herself down again, but she wasn't following the orders of her previous tormentors by standing up further either. It was a delicate balance, but one that Maleah simply couldn't keep up with. She couldn't be confident enough when surrounded by wolves leaving that would smash her into the dirt if she stood too tall. The only thing he newly dry eyes could focus on were the paws of the two wolves in front of her. She didn't dare look around to see whether or not the ashen male of her nightmares stood nearby.
The movement of the much larger set of paws forwards confirmed her worst fears. There Koga was, about to leave her bloodied and bruised like he had done to the other she-wolf. Her breathing picked up as she took a risk and glanced up at the tip of his muzzle. It shot a spark of fear through her to see that there was a smile on the brute's muzzle. It wasn't like the smile that he had displayed before to his mate, but it also wasn't the smile that he gave the charcoal demon after being given the order to kill. It was almost... nice? "Welcome, Maleah," he began. Maleah let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding. It wasn't an attack. Not yet at least. "No further need to cower. Carry yourself with a wisp of dignity," he reiterated Marusya's rule, "Unfurl your ears, your tail. You are of us now, our kin - and more importantly, mine. Only slaves hang their heads so low; that, and the lowest of low infidels. You, my dear, are neither."
Maleah didn't know what an infidel was, but she knew that she wasn't a slave. Marusya had made that clear in the fox den before they fell asleep. With a calming breath, the minuscule she-wolf slowly lifted her ears off her skull again, this time moving them a little further away than she did on their walk back. They were almost normal, but still stiff from being pulled in submission for so long. She lifted her haunches slightly to let her tail come out from under her flame kissed pelt. She tucked it up to her side while she was on the ground, curling it around one of her hind legs in a cat-like manner.
"None will harm you while I am here - not Adramalech, not Suki, not Beelzebub. Consider any connections you might've had with their party now permanently severed," Koga's following words brought tears to her eyes. She hadn't been lied to. Koga and Marusya were going to keep her safe from them. She didn't have to work herself to death. She didn't have to unwillingly bear children. She didn't have to stay within their clutches. She didn't want to let her tears fall to the ground, so she tilted her head up to make them roll back into her eyes. "You are of Adjetni's offspring, far beyond any brutish rabble. And- if that is not enough, if you cannot summon courage to carry yourself with pride, think of it as this. Out of every wolf, regardless of rank or beauty, Marusya favored you most. The absolute best in her eyes. And so, in mine. Carry yourself as one anointed for marvelous future things. You will learn our laws, our ways in time to care for our future offspring. But not of now. Instead, focus on your one command - and learn to carry yourself as we," the cream male finished off, making tears roll down her cheeks unabashedly.
"Thank you, Alpha," Maleah whispered to the male, letting her head drop back down as she gathered herself. Never had she been praised so highly. It hadn't occurred to her that she was picked for any other reason expect to torture her more. She was picked because Marusya thought that she would do the best at raising her and Koga's offspring. They thought that Maleah could to something amazing, could succeed at a difficult task. It was the nicest thing Maleah had ever been told. To hear it come out of the mouth of the wolf she feared third most in the world was a surprise. "Thank you, Prophet," she repeated, using what she presumed to be the more powerful name she was instructed to call him.
While he spoke to Marusya, she worked on straightening out the kinks in her body. Her legs hadn't been straight in so long that her muscles cramped as she slowly rose up to her almost full height. Not that she had far to go, she was only two feet, four inches tall. She didn't want to look up from the ground as she stretched out her limbs. The distortion of the world around her was entertaining to watch. The beetle that she was watching crawl under her muzzle in her panic now seemed so much smaller. She took her time to slowly begin moving her tail. It had been stuck in a rigid log under her flaming underbelly for so long that wagging it felt foreign. Slowly, she flicked the tip of her tail, letting it waggle behind her in bigger and bigger sways until her whole tail flapped behind her. She let it go still behind her after she fully enjoyed the feeling of finally wagging her tail again. She took in a shuddery breath through a more relaxed ribcage and exhaled slowly, forcing herself to relax with the new situation. She was safe as long as Koga was near. She didn't have to worry about Beelzebub or Suki. She could stand taller. They thought she was important. Maleah wasn't stupid enough to let that inflate her ego entirely, but it did make her happy to know that she was wanted by these wolves.
They moved off, Maleah walking slightly behind Marusya's shoulder, on the outside of the pair. She didn't want to squeeze herself into the middle. With her eyes free to look around at other things apart from impending doom, she finally noticed how pretty the Valley was. The grasses tickled her toes, making the small she-wolf suppress some giggles as the blades tickled her paws. The only bird she was focused on when she arrived was Rupert, her bluebird, but now that she could relax a little more the little bird that twittered and sang on the tops of sun soaked rocks captured her attention as well. It was only the abnormal breathing of Koga that drew her attention back to the pair of wolves beside her.
He wasn't walking as fluidly as either of the she-wolves beside him. Was it a dance? Some sort of seizure perhaps? She watched him intently as he continued to move abnormally. Was this normal? Was it something to do with Adjetni? The pair were very insistent about making his importance known. "My love, you and I will reunite again within the next moon. Adjetni beckons. I fear I've a debt to pay," Koga explained to his lover. Maleah's posture immediately dropped. He was leaving? For at most the next moon? No, no, no. He couldn't! The sole reason she had extended herself was because of Koga's presence and promise of protection when he was near. With him gone, she was back to being vulnerable. Adramelech or Suki or Beelzebub could come back and kill her. Koga was the rock of her confidence. A soft whimper left her once again fearful frame as he padded away. Instantly her senses were kicked into high gear. Every noise, scent, flicker of light through thinning leaves could be an attacker, and Maleah couldn't defend herself or Marusya. If anything happened to his mate she presumed that it would be her that caught his wrath. Now she had herself, and Marusya and her unborn pups to worry about. The confidence she once had noticeably sapped away. She was slowly going closer and closer to the ground, reverting back into her frightened posture. She wasn't sure that Marusya, a pregnant she-wolf who was somehow smaller than she was, could protect the both of them if they were attacked.

〷 Lilith 〷
Her approach, and communication, towards her eldest sibling hadn't quite gone as planned. His refusal to look in her direction, to regard her as an equal in that instance, and to respect her presence enough to even brush her off with a simple motion, had sent the auburn marbled bitch to thrash her rear appendage. Pointed auricles quickly falling flat to either side as her creme tinged lips quivered with notable distaste. She'd grown used to how he treated others- but her, to treat her like an unrelated follower- that wasn't going to fly so easily.
"We'll be moving out as soon as everyone is ready, so get your shit together and let's go."
The command was directed at all, including those who were allied and of 'equal' status, it was time to leave the walled-in barracks they'd hunkered down in for the time needed. Yes. It would undoubtedly be time for the building forces to seek a more, permanent, location to settle and expand. As the large ashen beast moved off, Lilith let her head thrash left to right, plush scruff ruffling with audible irritation through a harsh under-breath rumble. Her 'friend', Bellatrix's, approach bringing some form of content as she let her hardened fiery optics loom across and match the others with disinterest.
"Lilith. Shall we get moving?"
The gesture in pursuit of her brothers and the rest was barely needed, though the multi-hued canvas let her muzzle fall the slightest in an agreeable nod. "I guess we shall," The monotonuous statement lingered with no pursuing motions, her toes curling the slightest as ashen claws dug small trenches within earth below, chest expanding and concaving as she let herself skim the surrounding lands once more, almost searching for a reason to not leave in that exact instance. But, alas nothing arose. She had noted the male, Nyrein's, disappearance- Coward. He obviously wasn't of powerful enough mindset or stature to stay.
"Come, lovely. Let us leave this place." Lilith finally let slight interest take ahold of her vocals, ears re-attaining their high-standing position atop black masked crown. Muscled shoulders swiftly adopting a smooth roll to their ligaments as she let her entire side brush against femme-companions, length of tail to coil and tug at the fur of Bella's in clear signal to move along. This particular wolf had become a comforting presence, once that gave Lilith a sense of, 'family', more so than the deathly presence of her brothers. After all, she wasn't as ruthless as them- well, not all the time anyway.

Marusya couldn't be more proud of her mate as he accepted Maleah as she had. A bright beeming smile ripped across her maw as Maleah took his gentle words to heart, ears and tail unfolding from her body as she slowly stood taller. Maleah was a beauty, her body exuded potential and eyes that guarded intelligence and passion. Marusya walked around her, tail gracing Maleah's sides in approval. A head nod and kind eyes gave praise for her change in posture. If Maleah reverted back to her hunched from, no punishment will be given but kind words and comfort.
Head turning back towards Koga as he spoke, she slowly returned to his side. His words brought some comfort to her, although she tried not to show her distaste for staying with the other group. Marusya trusted Koga, but too much of their ways reminded her of her past, which caused pain to blossom within her head and heart. Not only did thoughts of that cause spikes of pain to rupture through her skull, but also visions and the sound of bees humming in her ears had her own pace stumbling. Koga seemed to come to much faster than her, but her own visions were janky. All she saw was white, bright blinding white.
She only managed to hear the last few words from Koga before her eyes focused on his disappearing form. Confusion crossed her expression as she turned to Maleah who seemed to cower even more than before. Both of them had received messages from Adjetni, both being different, as usual. "Do not worry, Adjetni gave our own mission," Marusya said, her voice holding a husky, pained tone. Her head still throbbed as she tried to understand the message she had received. "We will travel with them, but once they are settled we will go explore for, something, white," her words were slowed towards the end as she began to vaguely understand what Adjetni had given her. They were in search of something bright white, but she did not know in what form this would come in.

Every rustle of grass was a possible assailant. Every sudden take off of the birds that she once relished in the company of could be an wolf jumping from the top of the boulders that encased her. She wished that she could slink in the shadows once more. It would be less obvious, less... open. Her darker coloured fur tips would allow her to move unnoticed around the edges of the rocks. The slowly setting sun would soon leave her in darkness. That was one of the most comforting and terrifying times. Comforting in the fact that she could hide more easily because of the darkness of her outer pelt. Terrifying in the fact that the same comfort spread to others. Wolves could hide in plain sight in the darkness, jump out now that Koga was gone. Koga said that she was safe when he was around. Now he was gone. As light faded, and as the scent trail of the larger male drifted away, her fear only climbed higher.
"Do not worry, Adjetni gave our own mission," Marusya's pained voice made her flinch sideways. She was in pain? Was she going into labour? Was it the seizure thing again? The pregnant she-wolf didn't mention anything other than Adjetni. Maleah's childish anger flared up slightly. Whoever this Adjetni was seemed cruel. Both Koga and Marusya had been hurt by him, without Maleah even seeing anything that could hurt them! Adjenti also stole away the one thing that could protect her. The one wolf that had promised to keep her safe from the demons that they were following. She couldn't help but harbor a small bit of anger. She was promised protection, happiness, a life raising the pups of Marusya. Having whomever Adjetni was steal away Koga betrayed that promise.
"We will travel with them, but once they are settled we will go explore for, something, white," Marusya rounded off. Maleah sucked in a deep breath. She couldn't hold anything against someone or something that she didn't know about. Passing unreasonable judgments on something so important to the two new leaders of her life would be rude, and would likely get her punished severely. She didn't want that. She wanted to stay happy, to stay pain free, so she would start over with this Adjetni. She could only learn. Back to the task at paw. They were going to follow the demons in front of them, to where, she didn't know, but at the same time they were looking for something white. That was a very large spectrum of possibility. The rocks around her were white. In a few months, the snow would come and be white, but she doubted they would have to wait that long.
The once again cramped she-wolf forced herself to relax. She shoved her frame upwards until she was standing about an inch below Marusya's small frame. She made her ears lift off her skull. She forced her tail to lay behind her knees and not to be tucked up to her chest. Marusya and Koga wanted her to hold herself with confidence. She needed to convince herself that she was chosen for something great. Her future was going to be something great. They chose her because they saw something in her. She was allowed to stand taller. It was okay. Those words didn't reduce her fear of wolves jumping out at her. Even if she was selected for something amazing, that didn't stop others from attacking, especially now that Koga was absent. They could be jealous, they could be spiteful, they could still attack while Koga was gone. With a small, shivering sigh, Maleah almost tiptoed after Marusya, her neon green eyes peeled from something of importance that was white.

♡ Suki ♡
"Sanity is a paved road: It's comfortable to walk, but no flowers ever grow."
The frosted bitch found herself nestled within her newly established mate’s scruff, a contented sigh escaping a half-open maw. Squeezing oaken eyes closed, her mind drifted into the clouds. There, she pictured herself, swollen with the weight of her young. For a brief moment, she was disgruntled. Her capacity to care for herself would be torn away, but bearing the offspring of Beelzebub was far more than worth it. A lazy grin rolled across sleepy features, peering at the muscled male she was currently sprawled across. With a single swipe of her lover’s salmon tongue, muscles melted. Exhaustion was an understatement. In a manner similar to a tired pup, the Delta scooted closer - if possible - to her guardian, sniffling half-heartedly at the underside of a darkened muzzle. "Are you ready? I'm willing to bet they'd be even more beautiful than Adramalach's." A soft giggle shook the pale bitch, pawing playfully at Beelzebub. "Not to mention better fighters." With a nip to her ear, Suki yawned pressing her the left side of her muzzle to his right, offering a small lick to his cheek.
“Oh, without a doubt, Bub~” With a voice slurred with the thickness of sleep, the beauty rolled over, escaping the warmth of her beloved. Shaking any dirt out of a untainted pelt, warm hues gravitated to the raven form of her Alpha. Whisking away to to Beel’s side, ivory paws thudded with clear annoyance, tail tip flicking impatiently. What reason did this nuisance have to interrupt such a peaceful time? With a soft growl lingering within a thin throat, the Delta only half-listened to the leaders harshly strung orders. The only words coming to the ornery bitch’s ears were ‘Let’s go’. Twitching white hackles, another yawn spread sharpened canines. "You hear that Suki? We're getting new toys." Swishing a snowy flag, a squeak of excitement shuddered through her form.
“It’s about damn time.”

Hungry from an unsuccessful journey to the coastline, in which the alabaster femme had found nothing but a strange, hard-shelled creature to pick apart for subsistence, Accalia journeyed elsewhere in pursuit of prey. As she traveled, her stomach growled persistently, reminding her that she'd waited a bit too long in finding a source of food. Her travels lead her to the valley, where the prospect of easy prey enticed her--there should be an abundance of rabbits in such a grassy area, right?
The lady picked a spot and lowered herself to the ground, midsection skimming against the grass. Auricles rotated like satellites to focus on any sound in the valley. Silence ensued, save for the sound of gentle autumnal winds blowing about; they reminded the bitch that the abundance of small game would soon be depleting with the arrival of winter. With a grimace, she mulled over thoughts of finding a companion to aid in her survival this winter, but the outlook seemed bleak.
The breeze finally brought the smell of a rabbit towards Accalia, sufficiently interrupting her troubled thoughts. The canine quickly located the rodent and crept toward it, quietly closing the distance until she could give chase. Just a few more steps, she thought, pleading that her prey didn't detect her prematurely. When she was close enough to see the creature's flank pulsing with its breath, Accalia sprung forward to give chase. The rabbit, who had been quietly watching for the danger it had detected, bolted away, but not fast enough. A burst of speed propelled the hungry wolf toward the rabbit, close enough that the girl could clamp down on its tail, then quickly break its neck.
Satisfied with her catch, Accalia laid down with the limp body between her paws. Sharp canines began to rip at the flesh of the thing, working quickly to get food into the bitch's growling stomach.
