An old trio I created years ago whose adopters eventually went inactive and left the site.
These characters aren't easy. They are extremely unique, but what's more challenging will be their owners' ability to roleplay the dynamic of the group. I've entrusted two of the siblings with who I believe are two very capable roleplayers, Ocean and Violet, leaving only one left for adoption.
There are a couple plots in consideration, but nothing is set in stone. I'd like to have a group of roleplayers established before deciding on the direction of the group. It is almost certain that the trio will eventually meet Vaas, their aunt who they don't know, owned by Ebony.
I don't plan on roleplaying any sibling in this group even though I created them. First, I don't think I'll have the time once I'm in school. Second, I love interpretation and I'm excited about the idea of having others roleplay my characters how they see fit.
Blue is the only character up for adoption. She is essentially the "leader" of the group, although they all contribute equally to survival.
Her adopter is free to expand on her history.

Vaas's bio
Her life has been led in misery, and the pain that continues to conduct itself in her mind are charged by memories, ones filled with devastation and guilt. She was the first born in a litter of four, followed by two males who did not survive the birthing process. The final offering was a miracle, a chance given by unknown forces for unknown reasons, and her name was Oett. She was small, no more than fifty pounds full grown; too small to ever bear children, ever to catch her own meal, to speak her own words or to walk on her very feet. All that was taken from her was taken by Vaas, an ungrateful abomination that loved her stupid, dysfunctional sister more than herself, an unexplainable condition, for Oett had absolutely nothing to give. Nothing. Yet Vaas dedicated herself to her. For three years, Vaas spent every day fighting for her, battling enemy after enemy, predator after predator, keeping anything demonic away from her angel, her sack of boneless skin who was her angel. She taught her to walk straight, upright, with balance; how to chew her food with her soft teeth, how to swallow it without it getting stuck in her throat. Vaas taught her to speak loudly so that her big sister could hear her if she was ever alone and in danger, but she never learned. On the third year, the failed lesson would take Oett's life.
In the spring of the third year, during Oett's late pregnancy, the misfortune passed away in her sleep. Vaas knew it was going to happen. Three years were spent fighting for this bit of nothing, nothing but a breathing force of lifeless existence but Vaas treated her like she'd live another day, every day. She had no one to treat anymore, no one to give to, and she then realized, it was she who was that lifeless existence. Vaas executed her sister's rapist in front of the den she passed in, ripping apart his skin and leaving him there to breathe his last atrocious breath. That night, she slept by her sister's pregnant, dead body, next to the unborn pups. She lay there waiting for heartbeats, for one, or two or three if that unknown force returned, but it never did. So she left her.
She escaped into the forest surrounding the snowy clearing, spending only five hours there before she turned back without telling herself to. Her conscience led her back to her sister, perhaps because she could not bare to be away. When she returned to the den site, Oett was being ripped open at her stomach like a carcass--which Vaas refused to believe she was--by a mountain lion who'd lost interest in the male carcass outside the den. She readied herself and called for the beasts attention, drawing it away from her sister's body. She lured it away from the den, near the male's body and conquered it there. Blood stained the snow everywhere, the wolves and the mountain lion and the ground, it was all covered like a blanket. Bodies were red in the snow, and all that stood in the silence was Vaas, alone, forever.
Until she met with her sister's body one last time. Examining the body, what she found struck her with something unimaginable--enlightening, but terrifying, and devastating. Three bastard pups, alive, were squirming inside of her. Her stomach was as big as her own body, twice the size now that it was open. But Vaas was more interested in the pups. The unknown force had returned.
She considered several things, one being to take these pups and raise them as her own, to fulfill her life once again and make up for what she lost with Oett. But she could not. These pups were not normal. They were broken and deranged and dysfunctional. They were like Oett; and Vaas could not bare to go through it all again, not three more times. So she nurtured them for a few weeks, to give them a chance to be on their own, but she could not stay any longer. This part of her life had to end, the misery and misfortune and loneliness and death; it all had to end.
But it never did.

The coincidental phenomenon of each surviving sibling was a curse, each sibling wrecked with a defect. These conditions would become their very identities. They would begin their impossible journey three weeks after commencement.
The siblings depend on each other's advantages to make up for their disadvantages. The sisters rely on their mute brother El, the first-born gargantuan, to drive away and protect them from all physical threats. He is also tasked with providing them with food and clearing out shelters. One might assume he's all muscle, but he is actually the most intelligent of the crew. He has become a master strategist, and with all of his senses in tact he leads first in line, the first to step into danger when it arrives.
Nevermore, the second-born, is completely blind. Quite talkative and interpersonal, she provides more than just stellar senses of hearing and direction. She keeps the trio from going literally insane by being the social wolf. Always conversing with herself, for Blue is deaf and El is a mute, she provides priceless entertainment. Besides that, her auditory and navigational skills are more than adept. The trio relies on her ears and unblemished memory to guide them through new areas. If El wasn't so large and protective, Nevermore would lead in front, but alas, she settles for the middle where she can always turn and enjoy Blue's silly sounds.
Blue, the last-born, was born deaf, not to mention without a heartbeat. She is sensitive and motherly, and comforts her siblings as she does her best to make up for a mother they never had. What she lacks in auditory senses and physical strength she makes up for with incredible eyesight and peripheral vision. She is the eye and the heart of the trio, and as such has taken on the role of leader and guardian.
Today, those factors have not changed. The bond between these siblings remains quite strange, but unbreakably true. Each sibling is crucial to the survival of the trio, and thus have made it their absolute duty to protect one other, no matter the circumstances and no matter the consequence.

Personality Like his siblings, the only appropriate summarization of his personality would simply be, "weird." He is a social oddity, and quite frankly, a literal psychopath; while he is fully cognitive--masterfully so--and understands social cues like any other wolf, it is difficult for him to actively follow those cues. He knows how he is and isn't supposed to act in hierarchal and societal situations, but he frequently takes measures upon his impulsive conscience that may show otherwise. This should never be mistaken as misdemeanor as long as he swears to remain dutiful to the protection of his sisters for his lifetime. In many cases El relies on his siblings to handle social situations for him because he cannot speak, so he has been left to observe society from a seat afar. This is the most likely reason for the contrast between what he knows and what he does. Under no circumstances could nor would El harm either of his sisters by behaving inappropriately in such a way that would put them at risk. But that's not quite the case for everyone else. El's somatic prominence puts him in an extremely advantageous position in combat. His soul is rich, but there is a crevice in his morality that has created a weapon of rueing demolition. It takes almost nothing to bring him down to mindless wreckage. He is a ruthless wolf with a selfless interior that would extend to the furthest reaches of malice to protect the two he loves. Thoughts move through his mind like a rapid river, eyes always peeled open in agony as he cannot let them escape. His bones itch and his muscles burn, tormented with the inability to vocalize. That anguish alone is enough to set his demon free, but he has learned to control its appearances around only his sisters. El is wildly intelligent, psychotically so. Without a voice, all he can do is wander in the abysmal mind of a psychopath. He can vividly remember just about anything from the details of his early puphood to the placement of each pebble on the ground. One can almost see his thoughts bursting from his wild body, emerging like flames. It should be noted that in this state, which can last up to hours, he cannot be disturbed; he cannot be spoken to nor even touched, and all he can bear is absolute silence and stillness, else the demon returns.
Appearance El's father was a tall, lengthy wolf, but his mother was incredibly small. He took on the genes of his father as the first-born, but he actually grew up quite thin and nimble. None of the wolves really understood their niche in the trio until they were about a year old, when reality started setting in that they each needed to hone in on their advantages rather than fearing their disabilities. Thus, El began vigorously training, being as active as possible and eating as much as he could, stopping at nothing to be perfect for his sisters who he was sworn to serve, no matter the circumstances. He stopped at nothing to become the monster he is today, standing at 3'7" in height and 6'6" in length. This pretty gargantuan weighs in at 200 pounds. What began as a creamy colored coat with other hues of white transformed into a luscious, bright vibrance of orange and white, resembling a winter's sunset. This jazzy hue of golden tangerine colors are stretched along his back, where it is interrupted by a crumbled patch of black, and continues thereafter along his tail. The rest of his underbelly, as well as the lower half of his mask, is a clean cut of snowy white. The enchanting contrast does not end with his coat, but with his stunning icy blue eyes that serve for most of his communication. One look at him wouldn't define his hidden dark nature, although a second take at his size may serve as confirmation.
History Growing up, El was always quite tame. He still is, but it wasn't until he was roughly a year old when he and his siblings discovered his horrifying potential. The trio had been living on their own since they were a few weeks old. Every concept the universe had conceived said the siblings shouldn't have survived, but no fiber of the universe could possibly conceive this unusual trio of misfits. Destined to survive, El made it his life's purpose to protect his siblings at all costs. He'd never harmed anything other than game for most of his life before the incident. In fact, he'd been a bit of a coward unlike bold miss Blue and outrageous Nevermore. He would come to learn that the courage of his sisters would not be enough to protect them in the wild. It was the trio's first winter. Blue was ill, and Nevermore was back at camp with her while El was searching for herbs and a meal. He was too afraid to wander too far outside of the camp's vicinity, perhaps the only reason he was able to hear the faint cries of his sisters. In a panic, El jolted, thoughts assembling the worst images that his mind could muster as he heaved his body in torture to camp. Upon his arrival he found his sisters being beaten by a darkened monster, larger than El. It was an abduction. Eyes once cool with breezy innocence went crazed, spiraling into glacial stones with a chaotic glare--like his mind, as it wreathed his soul with systematic mania and rigid pandemonium as this dog dared to lay himself on the two he loved more than anything... more than himself. Unrestrained and mindless, El charged, his teeth bearing with a hunger for vengeance. His opponent was big and formally trained, but he was no match for the demon that was born in El that day. The intoxicated boy became a brute as he tore with unhindered aim into the throat, the eyes, the maw, and anywhere that could conceivable be tortured by the jaws of a psychotic animal. Hardly anything was left of the abductor when El was finished with him. Since that day, El has not been able to purge himself of that demon. His sisters continue to beg him to forget and leave that animal behind, but he refuses. He knows better. They both would have died that day if El's savage spirit hadn't come to save them. El would have died. No single member of this trio can survive without him--without both of him. |

Personality The persona she bears depends on who she is talking to and what she wants. She could be anything from an uncompromising dissident to a sad and vulnerable milksop, albeit with a new story ready for each situation. Quite the little actress, this sparkplug is full of creativity and knows no shame about her expedient manipulation when it benefits her and her siblings. In this sense she has proven to be the finest diplomat, being able to draw everyone into liking her--or wanting to like her--before delivering critical or merely convivial performances. She enjoys these opportunities and is thoroughly excitable by any form of communication, particularly those with strangers. Each new encounter is a formal occasion during which Nevermore can play out a fantasy--a presentation she has practiced persistently not only in her head but aloud to her siblings in short, uninvited torrents. This makes up only a fraction of the ceaseless blathering she torments her siblings with. Her siblings hardly reciprocate her sociability, and those confines can be quite lonesome. Thus, within the trio she lives in her own world of fantasies. She is an endless daydreamer whose imagination thrives in a unique, solitary realm where visions don't appear. She collects sounds and smells throughout the day, documenting them into this little world where she engineers them into instrumental reveries. Her mind is an invisible cinema accompanied by ambient symphonies directed by a twisted, abysmal deceiver. Without colors in her world, she has grown to love texture, temperature and fragrance... all things she finds most abundant in the spring. The breeze kisses her more warmly, and she lets her body explore the brushes and branches to find swelling buds that would eventually release their soft, papery leaves. She has become a skilled salutary, a role she serves well and most importantly among the siblings. The myriad of verdant hues from the grass to the leaves above were lost to her at birth; but their gentle fragrance never was. She takes new lush blades to her feet or snout and rubs them with delight, releasing their perfumes. That adept nose and ear also makes her the trio's navigator. She knows the flowers and herbs of every region by their scents, either that which they release to the damp air or by crushing a petal to release their aromatic sap. She even knows the call of each bird species and marks the progress of the season with their song. Her directional talent ideally would place her in front of the line ahead of El, but she has come to accept, no matter how difficult, that she needs his protection, thus she trails in the middle between him and her sister. She tends to challenge El, taunting him with her silly and offensively outrageous stories, but he is a mute and cannot fight back, nor would he if it was possible. But perhaps that's what makes it so fun.
Appearance Neither of her parents were anything spectacular in size, but Blue has sometimes mused that underneath their mother's blood and matted fur were the most possessing hues and structural compositions. Though none of the siblings have ever seen their mother in full nor even glimpsed under her dark palpebras, they are almost certain it's from her that Nevermore gets her unique set of eyes. Her orbs may be glazed over with silver, but underneath the reflective gloss is a many-hued chromatic combination of gold, red, jade, and even lavender that seems to cast back every color when exposed by the sun. In cool light the tones tend to shift and dull, still never eliminating the ambiguous romance embed in her stare. Her orbs might not possess their alluring power if they weren't plastered against an opaque, ebony canvas. All but the fur of her chin and lips is stained with jet ink. Her emulsion isn't particular and it certainly doesn't stand out like her brother's and sister's, but she doesn't know anything of it. To her, she the most beautiful in the land and everybody else thinks so too. In all other ways she is only average. The siblings were all born rather small with little mass to the bones; El was the only one who was able to grow. It was easier for him--he had no physical defects. For Nevermore, the blind sister, it was much more difficult and still is. She can't maneuver as deftly as other wolves and is rarely presented with an opportunity to employ any physical skills. Because of this, she is always eating, constantly begging her brother to fetch a snack. Being blind and incapable is already plenty of hell; she has to stay healthy to veer from being persistently seen as a target. With as much effort she can possibly engage, she has weighed in at 100 pounds, extending to 5 feet from her narrow snout to her tailbone. Her thin legs stand at 2.5 feet, but in her world she can climb up to a hundred.
History Nevermore has been blind from birth, and grew up with keen awareness of the winter's frigid rains. All she knew was day from night and proximity to the light in a dark place. It was all she could detect visually--if that is a word to describe that natural sensation to the sightless. Still, there were many things she found pleasure in, and among all of them was playing make-believe. As she grew and traveled in her little family of three she registered the smells, sounds, and textures she found throughout the day. They influenced her dreams and amplified her creative power until she had become citizen of a new world. Her siblings always took her playtime for folly, entertained by her capering and endless voice acting--a new accent learned every day, but they never realized that it was keeping her alive. They never spoke to her, never played with her, never gave into her stories--her imagination was all she had that allowed her to persevere. It wasn't until the siblings were a year old when they finally realized it among all of the change they were about to face. By then, El had become a fighter. Blue had become a leader. Nevermore had become, well, nothing. She was still a child and refused to grow up; that's what Blue said. She had begun to believe it, and maybe she still does to some extent. It seemed that both of her siblings had found their place among the trio while Nevermore was stuck in an inescapable fantasy. She was beginning to realize that her made-up world was no overcompensation for her blindness; it was a refusal to give in to the cruelty of the real one. Torture, cannibalism, murder, rape. Blue could no longer criticize her. Several encounters occurred between the trio and strangers after the attempted abduction (see: El). It was inevitable in a wild wood full of survivalists like themselves, always seeking something that somebody else had. They'd been kicked out of their homes, ambushed by crazies more lunatic than themselves, even hunted as meals. None of the siblings had established an efficient way of communicating with strangers, for the girls couldn't rely on El's demonic alter to take care of them forever. The only sibling truly capable of communicating was Nevermore. So, she thought, instead of abandoning her world, she could merge it with this one. Nevermore became a skilled actress, as if she hadn't been one already. She has been practicing her methods for a year, and has since become a master adapter, able to read a speaker's voice, sense their bodily chemicals and apply a new persona immediately. With this talent she has been able to negotiate land agreements with invasive rogues, misguide unwanted travelers, and guilt even the least gullible into serving favors. She has become the mastermind of the trio and pioneer of her own world. |

Desired Rank Guardian | ||
Personality All her life, Blue has felt obligated to make up for the mother she and her siblings never had. She makes most of the decisions despite the collective nature of the trio. While El does the biting and Nevermore the talking, Blue is the director. She uses her impeccable vision to scout new paths and allow her siblings passage through them. She can be bossy when it's necessary, but towards her siblings she tries to give them the utmost compassion that they'd never been given by a real mother. She always has her eyes on El and Nevermore, usually surveying from behind at all times to keep track of them. Trying not to strain them with her own problems, Blue can appear to be distant, always silently observing her surroundings and admiring the beauty around her. She insists on taking on the burdens of her siblings even if she can't quite handle them. Her solitary nature can be unsettling, but no more than her unconventional methods of communication. Like El, her forms of oral transmission are hindered by her disability. She communicates through vibrant body movements, and often has no control over the sounds that come out of her mouth. Her whimpers, growls and snarls and other less-vocal displays come naturally, but her barks and her howls are wild and uncontrolled. When unaware, Blue often makes her own unpredictable noises such as disturbing vocal breathing and high-pitched humming. Other wolves find this uncomfortable and tend to stay away from her, allowing her to contently keep watch by herself. Her siblings, however, find these sounds comforting and often find tired peace in her gentle resonation.
Appearance Blue is characterized by her cyan blue eyes, round and shallow as they peer with enduring determination and prowess. Underneath them, four dark pixels that underline her jet waterlines. The contrast between her soft tones and rigid contours do well to reveal her intentions to any stranger, good or bad. Deafness makes her vision her sole physical strength. To her disadvantaged siblings, her electric eyes are diamonds; they cannot be hindered nor bested, and they cannot fail at any cost. While she's nothing entirely out of the ordinary for a light-colored she-wolf, Blue's aura distinctly isolates her her. Every inch of her visage shines, an optical delight. The love and dedication she provides as a mother figure to her siblings bursts from her soul case like sun rays through her marshmallow coat and exotic orbs. She is quite delicate despite the authority she hones. With thin bones, silky skin and the muscle mass of a small rodent, Blue weighs in at only 80 pounds, standing 2'4" in height and 4'0" in length.
History Blue was born last in a 5-pup litter of three survivors, the remaining two being Nevermore and El. Both pups before her hadn't survived emersion. With no heartbeat for thirty seconds and no statistical chance of catching a breath, Blue really should not have survived. Thus, Blue has always been a fighter, and she never considers any ambition too absurd to follow. At least, she used to. It wasn't until she was about a year old when she realized that her siblings needed somebody to look out for them both. She abandoned her adventurous, reckless persona when the trio ran into some rough patches where nobody knew what to do, except for Blue, who seemed to have an answer for everything. It was then when Blue decided that she had to take care of herself and protect herself at all costs, because there is no way that her siblings can survive without her. They needed her for more than just her eyes. |
