Pack History: Lubrusca

HISTORY

Lubrusca was founded upon the entering of Raven, she was looking for to form a pack of her own, like her parents before her had. The pack seemed small at first, only consisting of a select few wolves. The land was rather peaceful, and everything was fine. Raven met Fewik, whom soon became her mate, and thus conceived the first litter that Lubrusca would see. However, after giving birth to the pups, 8 in total, 2 being stillborns, everything started to move downhill from there. Left in the birthing den one day, the 6 pups were without their mother when a coywolf snuck in, killing off two more of the wolves and scarring one of the others before Raven savagely killed the beast, pulling it from the den. The surviving four pups, Nira, Kinai, Connor and Zach, were all about eight weeks old at the time, and it was the first thing they saw with their eyes fully open. The first thing they heard was the cries of their brother and sister as they were killed. Soon after the pups were about two months old, Raven and Fewik watched their pack crumble and slowly fall, wolves betraying and leaving them, Raven and Fewik decided that they were going to move themselves away from the lands and start anew.

However, they only took one pup, Zach specifically. Leaving the other three in Snowpaw's care. The Beta at this time had twisted her leg, and injured herself, making it hard for her to hunt. With the pups so little, she could barely feed all three of them, and soon enough, two of them died from starvation. One of them however, at the age of 4 months, was surviving. Connor helped Snowpaw with whatever she needed, and the two lived together, struggling through life until Ventus appeared at the borders, having been hunting previously, and caught a rather plump rabbit on Lubrusca lands. The borders were stale, so she found the two in which she offered them help. After spending sometime together with them, Ventus treated Connor like she would her very own son, and they were a little family of three. They slowly started to rebuild the pack, Ventus taking on Alphess as Snowpaw could never see herself being one. They refreshed the borders, and soon were accepting wolves into their ranks.

However, there were two wolves that were accepted that would prove beneficial to the pack, and the other would prove a nuisance. Joktan, one of the wolves, caught the Alphess' eye as a rogue wounded her during a battle, due to her trespassing on Lubrusca Lands. He helped the Alphess, and proved a rather worthy wolf of her attention. The other was known as Filtiarn, whom endangered Connor and injured Joktan during a pack hunt later on. Following up a few days later, Ventus asked Joktan to become the Alpha Male of the pack, and be her mate alongside her and rule the pack. As such, the pack was meant to have a hunt, but an interruption at the borders with a wolfdog proved to lead the Alphess into frightened anger of the wolfdog due to her past dealings with the creatures not being well. When she brought a pup into the territory, along with a young male, Filtiarn was told to stay in the Hunting Grounds, but instead disobeyed orders once again, and as an Omega, that was a grave mistake.

Ventus, enraged from the wolf-dog at the borders previously, was fed up with Filtiarn constantly acting upon his own accord, and banished him from the pack, where the male then threatened Ventus that he would come back for one of her litter once she had pups. The Alphess chased the male from the territory, and ended up lashing out towards the white wolf's friend, Arina, when the pack questioned what happened to Filtiarn. After Joktan heard of the events that occurred, he went off hunting for Filtiarn, determined to make him pay for what he said to his mate.

However, instead of catching the white male, he instead came across a large group that he accepted into the ranks of Lubrusca. This group consisted of Prim, Parker, Shibaan and Zoltan. All being welcomed additions to the pack, more wolves would join. Dante, Mochi, Macha, Elenor, Laika, Duva, Kato, Snow Rose, and Trinity. Some of them departed before even a month had passed in their time being in the pack. But that would not be the sadness that burrowed itself into the heart of every Lubrusca wolf. After many peaceful weeks, suddenly a fire struck, a wildfire caused by the dry brush that the scorching summer had brought. Among the fallen were Lirik, Erramun, Kenai Heather and Shibaan, all passing quickly by third degree burns. Grieving her lost children, Mochi was the one to step up and support Ventus in her time of need, giving her comfort and solace as he worked together with Dante to help keep the pack under control.

After a couple weeks, Elenor passed giving birth to Dante's pups, Ventus became pregnant with Mochi's pups, and Snow Rose fell ill. Ventus delivered her and Mochi's daughter in the comfort of a den further away from the makeshift commons they had created at the Forest River, the commons from before unbearable to live within, and fear of another fire taking them in their sleep was deeply rooted in every wolf's mind. Mochi was brought to meet his daughter for the first time, meeting her and naming her Keala. Everything being happy and looking up, until the scent of Ferus washed over parts of the territory they were not supposed to reside in. Ventus, not wanting to leave Keala unsupervised with the other pack around, brought the little bundle with her, the white pup making her debut to the rest of the pack rather quickly, and shoved into Dante's den, being where she stayed with Dante's pups. Flint was the wolf that had come from Ferus, bringing news of a horrible enemy that was lingering somewhere in the mountains, or further. Ventus did not heed any of his words, but two of her wolves departed with him. Kai and Ebony, her scout and beloved Beta.

Seeing as this threat should not be underestimated, Mochi decided that it would be best to up their training regime and make sure the future wolves of Lubrusca were trained to deal with these situations. As luck would have it, wolves came to Lubrusca borders. Sitka, Lexavein and Baron. The three were the only ones to appear, each giving a reason they would be useful to the four pups that accompanied Dante to the borders. They accept them, and are brought back to the commons to meet their Alphess and Alpha.
