Only a few days ago had Steller picked up the scent of an unfamiliar male wolf. Since then, she had been doing everything within her abilities to avoid running into him—other than maybe turning tail and running in the opposite direction for a day straight. The last thing she wanted was a fight. She could hold her own as well as any other wolf, sure—but for how long? Steller had been blessed with her first decent meal shortly after picking up his scent the first time, making it so that she would be able to give it her all should a fight occur.
Steller walked along the forest floor, her grey and white pelt slinking through the trees. The slowly melting snow crunched quietly under her padded paws. Everything looked good. But something was wrong. It took a moment to hit her but when it did she stopped dead in her tracks. The scent was back—and it was strong. So strong, in fact, that Steller wagered that the male had been there less than a few hours ago. Now, Steller was finally considering turning tail and running. Completely move onto another area and hope he hadn’t noticed. It was an option. However, the hunting success Steller was having in this area made her more than just unwilling to leave.
Just as Steller decided she would fight for the land, the sound of movement behind her quickly lurched her attention elsewhere. The large wolf wheeled herself around, ears forward and hackles raised. Her tail was stiff and her fur bristled in an attempt to make herself look bigger. She caught movement in the corner of her eye and wheeled around yet again. The wolf was there. Larger than even herself and black fur standing out in the snow-laden ground. Had he seen her yet? Did he realise she could see him?

| With the permission of Jay, Azazel had taken the time to go out and scout the territories, looking around for anything they could add onto Ferus’ dry as hell lands. The snow covered most of the lands resources, but he was looking for woodland area, or a span of territory that at least hosted the same type of terrain the pack did. The General was not new to the roguelands, and he was looking currently at a small patch of land before him. He had been scouting out the area for a few days, trying to gather enough information to bring back to Jay on how many rogues were there, and how they would need to run them out. He had only found one thus far, and she would be easy pickings if he were to just attack now and get it over with. The General had been itching to get in some practice of some sort, and why not a scared little rogue to make it better? Letting out a huff as he lurched forward, the fog that came from his mouth rose. He wasn’t aiming to be silent or unnoticeable. His black pelt would signal to her that he was there. And he wanted her to know. As he stepped forward, he noticed that she was whipping around in circles. Was this wolf mad? He had no clue what she was doing, but alas - he didn’t care.
Without a word, the male brought himself forward, large stature looming in front of her. He was almost a foot taller than her, his head coming to rise above hers. The male bared his teeth, initiating the fight right then and there as he moved forward, aiming to pin her down. If he were to succeed in pushing her down, he would wrap his fangs around her muzzle, paw pushing against her chest to keep her from struggling too much. After shaking her head in his jaws, he would move away, keeping his distance as he watched her, seeing what she would do after that. | OOC: @steller |

The immediate and fast-paced nature of the first attack caught Steller by surprise. She realised his oncoming attack just a moment too late, making it so that she couldn’t get her body out of the way in time—although she tried. She was knocked off her feet with more ease than she had expected, letting out a startled yelp. She had vastly overestimated herself but it was too late now. The fight had begun and she was not going to back down. While pinned down, Steller made attempts to kick and scratch at his stomach with her back legs—to no avail, of course. He stank of pack wolf. When he released her she scrambled to her feet and got herself out of reach of his jaw. She faced him, pacing slowly back and forth. Her head was lowered and emitting a quiet growl, her ears forward in an aggressive position. She held her tail high and maintained eye contact as much as she could. “Leave!” Steller managed to spit out between the growls. She lurched forward, snapping her jaws at him. It was a bluff, of course. She just wanted to be left alone. She lunged again, this time attempting to sink her into the back of his neck, just above his shoulder blades. *If she succeeded in latching on, she would use her front paws to dig at his shoulder and leg, trying to do damage some of his movement. *If she did not, she would return to snarling at him. | Azazel watched the female intently, wondering if she would run. Usually wolves would see him and know that he was indeed not an opponent they wanted to face. But this she-wolf was stubborn and stayed. It seemed that she cared for the territory more than she did for her own life. Azazel was never scared of accidentally killing a wolf in battle. He almost wished he could within Ferus. But with Jay’s children being the only ones training, he would definitely not be able to kill them without having some sort of repercussions for it. Although he was sure if he at least made Rizeal mute, the Alpha pair would thank him later for it.
The she-wolf lunged forward, and he braced himself. Azazel, with his tall stature, was not as agile as most, and thus felt her teeth sink into the scar that lay between his shoulder blades and groaned a bit, a snarl coming from him as he felt her latch on and kicking at his leg. It would take more than that to take Azazel off of his legs.
He tried shaking her off by doing the best thing possible, dead weighting underneath her jaws. If this worked, he would push up and against her, knocking her maw back into itself, which would most definitely sting. If it did not work, he would aim to grasp onto her leg, to bring her down with him.
If the leg trick did not work, the General would push upwards, hoping that she would unlatch at this point. Turning and nipping at her face in an attempt to land a blow near her eye, he would keep his berate on until she would let go. If she were to do so.

The lack of immediate response both rattled and drove on Steller. She dug her teeth in when she felt him steel up, realising she was going to have to really work if she wanted to knock him down. Steller, foolishly, revelled momentarily in her minor success. In that moment, he dead-weighted under her. She let herself believe for a moment that maybe she had beaten him and he was giving in—again, foolish. Then he drove himself back up and into her muzzle. The action was unexpected and effective. Almost at once Steller released the male, her jaw throbbing and sore. Her jaw hung ajar slightly and she was panting lightly. Small bits of bloodied drool fell from her open mouth as she tried to register what had happened. She herself couldn’t see it but one of her teeth were a little cracked down the side. She stood stiffly, her head lowered just slightly between her legs. The few seconds she took to recuperate herself would have left her very exposed. Should he choose not to take advantage of Steller’s briefly unprotected state, she would prepare herself to attack him again. It would be her last attempt before she resorted to trying to run away. She wasn’t quite as willing to give her life as she had initially thought. General Azazel

| Azazel was able to escape the she-wolfs jaws mostly unharmed, although the aching in his back told him the same place he had an old scar from was yet again and open wound from this encounter. No matter, he would need to claim this territory for Ferus, and he would send this she-wolf running or to her death, she would choose that with her next move. Which was not too long after she had taken a moment to recuperate. Azazel was not one to ever take advantage of another unless they were really pissing him off, and since she was so delightfully giving him a battle he had been craving, he wanted to drag it out as long as she was willing to go for.
Looking to her, she prepared to attack again, and he could see that she was wanting to flee. "Go. Or your life will be taken. I am here to claim this territory for Ferus, and I will do so, whether it be with you running, or your blood staining the ground as a reminder to others," He quipped, seeing what her reaction was. If she were to stay, he would charge her, trying to ram his shoulder into hers. If she did not - or his attack missed - he would rear up and away from her. | OOC: @steller looks like this is the last post<3 |

Azazel vs Steller
Steller - First Post -1 powerplaying | Azazel had not yet made a post, so saying that he had been following her is controlling his character.
Azazel - First Post -1 Unfairness | Didn't give an option for if Azazel were to miss Steller. +1 Clearness | The attacks made were written clearly and were understandable.
Steller - Second Post +1 Fairness | Allowing Steller to get hit by Azazel and get pinned. -1 Unrealism | Didn't acknowledge factors such as pain after having her muzzle bitten by Azazel. +1 Clearness | Her attacks were concise and clear.
Azazel - Second Post +1 Fairness | Allowing Steller to complete her attack and acknowledging the pain that comes with it. +1 Realism | Acknowledging that Azazel isn't very agile. -1 Unrealism | Two wolves of around the same weight would definitely have some impact on his balance, but this was not mentioned. +1 Clearness | Each attack is clear and the procession of possible attacks is easily followed.
Steller - Third Post +1 Fairness | Allowing Azazel's attack to hit +1 Realism | Roleplaying the pain of Azazel's hit on Steller. +1 Realism | Acknowledging that the recovery period she took would leave her vulnerable to attack from Azazel (No attack made in this post)
Azazel - Third Post (No attack made this post)
