Shortly after the Jay and his little ones had left and Dis had asked Semira about any possible aid she could give, Tikaani, another scout of Ferus and the Alphess' daughter, came up and inquired similarly: "Yeah, is there anything we can do around here? A hunt or something?"Semira examined the both of them before offering her voice. "There will be a hunt taking place this morning. Anyone who would like to participate is welcome to join, as long as you don't prove to be a nuisance." The Alphess promptly turns to head off immediately to the spoken of hunt, and Tikaani follows close behind. The alphess whispers something to her kin, in a seemingly affectionate manner. Dis feels a small pang of envy and sadness and promptly turns her muzzle away as she follows, trying to ignore it. She didn't have family and she blamed herself for not having friends here, and deep down for Oshim's death as well, and as such she didn't allow herself to feel that way. If it was her fault, she could not be mad at the outcome. Still, she couldn't ignore the occasional needle that poked through her self-chiding blanket and stabbed her, involuntarily bringing the feeling through no matter what she told herself. Switching mental topics to the hunt, she picked her head up and became alert once again, reminding herself not to be so self-absorbed. She should be more concerned with the pack and not herself, as was her usual motto of life. Nope, now all her attention was on her pack-mates and how to make sure the hunt went smoothly and make herself useful. Alphess Semira @tiikani

Rizeal watched the pack as they went about their day she turned her attention to her father as he summoned several of her siblings. She grunted narrowing her eyes as they walked off. Why hadn't she been chosen? Did her father not believe she was capable of a simple task such as meeting rogues? She shook her head laughing at herself. Of course not, he merely thought it wasn't worth her time, he was saving her from another boring activity. She could relax for once he must've been rewarding her for all her hard work. Her ear twitched slightly, hearing her mother's voice. A hunt? Rizeal quickly decided it would good if she went, she should at least do something after all they'd need her help in catching prey. She trotted up next to Semira, following her out.

After most of the Ferus wolves had gathered - which was mostly his family in that perspective - his father started rattling off orders. The howling at the border alerted them to wolves that were wishing to come to the pack and serve in their ranks. He was sure that his father and mother would handle this and leave them with Azazel to hunt or spar, but instead, his father was having himself, Aislynn, and Iylah accompany him to the borders to meet these new wolves. He knew that his father was checking to see who was a potential future leader of Ferus, and who would become the next Alpha after Jay and Semira passed on their legacy. Natsu was almost guaranteed the spot with how his father spoke to him, and how he trusted Natsu more so with things such as leading sparring sessions with his siblings and keeping track of where they were. But he had never been given a task like this before, to come with him to the borders of all things. Natsu was excited, but he kept a complacent look on his face, knowing that if he showed too much excitement that it might be detrimental to his father’s views of him. Looking to both of his sisters, he listened to Aislynn. His sister had definitely grown on him more than the rest, but he held a soft spot for his family. He would never tell them of course, Ferus was not one for mushy feelings. This was a tough pack, and they were being raised to be able to take the hardships and falling of their family if needed. War was at their doorstep, and they had to be prepared for anything. Bringing himself to his feet, he followed his father to the borders, hoping that these rogues would provide a good experience as to what his father expected them to do when encountering these wolves. -Exit to Borders- Alpha Jay @aislynn Scout Iylah

Miyu stirs delicately in her small den, midnight form tensing as the lupess stretches her limbs out. The warmth of spring had crept up on them, luring prey both familiar and new back into their lands - and Lubrusca’s. With the abundance of food to fuel them, the alpha litter had begun filling out nicely, Miyu herself now sporting long limbs and a frame rounded with good health. Blinking open mismatched eyes, she angles her good side towards her den entrance to gauge the time of day. The sun was creeping slowly towards its peak - late morning, then. She had overslept. Pushing herself up and out of her den to find most already bustling about, she looks about, spotting her uncle walking towards her. Most in the pack by now knew what side to approach her from, lest she get defensive and send the occasional snap their way. Miyu was one of the more gentle amongst Ferus, Tikaani being the sole exception, but she was no wilting flower. Back when the injury was still fresh, when fear soured her emotions and turned her mean, she would send almost vicious bites the way of any who dared frighten her by sneaking up towards her blindside - accidentally or on purpose. Aspen and her father seemed to encourage such behavior, apparently approving of her short lived mean streak. She quickly got it under control however when she accidentally sent a snap Solex’s way - and got a nasty cuff over the head for it. Needless to say, she was far more observant of her surroundings now. Chuckling at the memory, she greets her uncle with a chaste press of her nose to his cheek. ”Morning, Uncle Sol,” she would intone with some cheer, tail giving a small wag. His offer excited her; never before had she ventured beyond their borders! The older male had taught her much these past months, from what herbs could help and what could hurt. He had even offered to let her witness the birth of his and Aspen’s pups - the mother be willing, of course. It would be a valuable learning experience. Now that spring had brought back herbs lost to them before, however, there was much more to memorize and put into practice. ”I’d love to!” She cocks her head, only briefly distracted by the howls at the borders. Such things weren’t her concern, and she’d meet any new wolves later in the day. ”Did you want to go now?”||Exit after Solex|| Salutary Solex

With wriggling beings stuck inside her for a few weeks yet, Aspen loathed being out of commission. She was useless to the pack, just stuck as a blimp that can't hunt or fight. Alas, she could be some use to her mate and his apprentice. With the younger monoptic expressing her excitement to head beyond the borders, it seemed that she'd at least get to see some excitement today. Even just a trip beyond the commons would be better than lounging around and waiting for her pups to erupt. "Well, let's head off then shall we!" the alabaster bitch piped up, nudging her mate's shoulder as she rolled onto her paws. Taking a few steps alongside her mate, she slowly made her way to the borders. Salutary Solex @miyu -Exit to: Ferus Borders (with Solex)-

The three siblings found themselves awake and gathered, firmly waiting at the common grounds for further instructions. Their father, who had been waiting for his children to rise from their slumbers walked over, in his trademark calm yet authoritary fashion,. Iylah knew his father had decided something, a new task maybe? Chills were sent down her spine, starting to feel the thrill of pack duties. "Natsu, Aislynn, Iylah," the alpha adressed the chosen ones for the work at hand, all while the young she-wolf tried to hide her inner excitement. "You'll be coming with me to the borders. You'll be meeting your first rogues today," he said, going on to tell all other pack members present to basically obey Semira while he's gone. “Hear that Nat and Iy? We’ve got ourselves company!” said Aislynn, accepting the challenge head-on. Iylah smiled at her older sister's iniciative, following her out of the commons. "Let's check these rogues out guys!" | Solex looked towards Aspen as she came waddling out of the den, and gave a small chuckle. Who knew that the she-wolf would ever agree to become pregnant. Her overall persona did not scream ‘I want to be a mother’. But somehow he had convinced her to bear his children. She gave him a small nudge, and he gave an affectionate bump of his nose to her cheek as he then heard howls at the borders, coming from the east. It seemed they would not head that way for today. Solex was never one for interaction with outsiders, he would leave that for his sister and her mate. As most of the other wolves gathered in the commons, Jay took to announcing that he would be taking the three, Natsu, Iylah and Aislynn, to the borders with him. Miyu would be coming with him, and Tikaani and Rizeal were left for Semira to take and hunt with. He knew that even if Aspen was a hunter of the pack, she would not be able to participate, so she would probably join Miyu and himself for herb hunting.
After Jay departed for the borders with his three children in tow, he took to listening to Miyu as she exclaimed that she would love to go with him. As she asked if he wanted to go now, he gave her a nod, looking towards Aspen and giving her a small nudge before they would head out. “Change of plans, let's head towards the southern borders instead, get away from the rowdy ass Eastern borders. Rogues are simple annoyances that will only get in our way,” Solex spoke, before getting up. The gargantuan towered over everyone there, but he did not feel out of place. His size was taken down a notch by the sulking position he took as he walked away. His back was killing him, but he walking wasn’t that hard, so long as they kept at a fairly even pace. He was growing older by the day it felt like, and with his large size, it only made it worse.
Starting to walk, Miyu would follow, and Aspen was sure to be right behind if she were wanting to do anything today.

With curious eyes turned towards her mother, she was excited to hear what her job would be while her father and siblings were out at the borders dealing with the enormous number of howls. "There will be a hunt taking place this morning. Anyone who would like to participate is welcome to join, as long as you don't prove to be a nuisance," her mother's instructions were clear, and Tikaani sure hoped that the rest of Ferus kicked their butts into gear so that they could catch something delicious. Following closely behind her mother, the next words that left her mouth momentarily stunned the teenager, "I want you to help me lead the hunt." Tikaani had never led a hunt before; she had only participated in a few hunts! Leading her packmates, more pressure for her mother, and even more pressure trying to direct Rizeal was something that Tikaani honestly hadn't expected to face so early in the morning. However, she wasn't about to just give up! With a bright smile, Ti replied back, "Ok!"Alphess Semira @rizeal @dis -Exit to: Ferus Hunting Grounds-

Paws tread across the desert land that he called home as the band of rogues followed behind him. It seemed that his children had lagged behind. More than likely concerned for their sister than anything else. He grumbled to himself. They were much too soft-hearted right now, but they would become warriors in the future, ones that would not bat an eye at the other leaving. Familial bonds were strong, and they would build the foundation to a strong pack, but there was only so much care that one could show for their loved ones before it simply turned foolish. Jay had bitterly discovered that on his own, but if taught to his children at a young age, they would not have to go through the wretched pain of losing a loved one because they simply cared too much about them. Unlike the border they had come from, the rogues were now delving into territory that held less trees, less water sources, and certainly less excitement. Ferus land was not meant to be pleasing to the eye. Instead it was meant to house warriors, and under cruel conditions, weed out the weaklings that were to venture too far into the heart of the territory. He wondered if that would happen to any of the rogues following him, and as he stopped in the commons, it seemed that most of the wolves that were previously there had followed his mate to the hunting grounds. All except for one. Azazel. The male had never been partial to hunting, instead looking more towards the fighting aspect of being the General. He was sure there were more than enough wolves in the hunting grounds, so he would let the male wolf’s actions slide. He did need some experienced help when it came to testing these rogues’ strength. He already knew that some of them were being thrown out of the pack as quickly as they had been taken in. More than likely, the two males that were standing off at the borders would leave if they didn’t get the rank they wanted. But he wasn’t looking for privileged assholes to live in his pack. He wanted warriors that would fight for their keep, that would benefit his pack. Not simply wear a title like it was a pretty little decoration that gave them the right to bully others. Looking towards the wolves, he flicked his one ear right along with his tail, beckoning them to stop as they reached the center of the clearing. “Here is where you’ll show me your battle skills,” He said, looking over his shoulder. “Azazel,” He called for the black brute, knowing that the male would have heard his statement. If there was anything that roused the male from isolation it was the will to fight. “This is the General of Ferus, and quite possibly one of the most experienced fighters here besides myself,” He spoke, looking towards all of them with narrowed eyes as he watched their reactions. “Your battle skills will be assessed by myself and Azazel, and from there your fate in Ferus lands will be decided,” He spoke, and then looked towards the many that were there at the moment. There were far too many for Azazel and Jay to take on all at once, so it seemed that some would have to wait before they got their turn. He knew that his stamina would last, after all the only ones that he really were concerned about were the two brutes. They were large and seemingly reckless, and that could only end up in more injuries for his wolves if he were to have them spar with himself or Azazel first, which would hinder the outcome for everyone else. “You,” He said, pointing his tail at the she-wolf that had a large red streak on her back. “You’re with Azazel,” He spoke, and then he looked at the small yearling, giving her a small nod. “And you’re with me,” He stated before stealing his gaze to the rest of the group. “You will stay put unless I tell you to move. If anyone so much as moves an inch, consider yourself a rogue once more,” He spoke, harsh tone ringing loud and clear as he moved to ready himself against the she-wolf in front of him. “Show me your worth keeping,” He growled, ear twitching before he moved to attack the she-wolf in front of him. He rushed forward, trying to knock himself into her shoulder. If this were to happen, she would tumble to the ground effortlessly, but if this were to fail, he would whip around to wherever she moved to, and snap his jaws, attempting to latch onto something. Whether it be an ear, tail or muzzle. The male let out a snarl if the snapping of his jaws landed on nothing, and he would wait for the she-wolf to retaliate.

Ferus was not at all a place of conventional beauty. Its land was not contoured with rolling green hills and decorated with tall swaying trees, there weren't even any signs of bubbling creeks meant to divide the land and provide sustenance to the roving creatures that were also no where to be seen. Yrene found beauty in the land anyway. She admired the determination of the thorny plants that pushed through the rough red soil and sought the burning sunlight that seemed to be completely relentless in its brutality, even in spring. The only landmarks in this territory were the rocks, streaked with unique earthy hues of vibrant orange and dusted yellows, while the occasional paperbark tree provided a sparse amount of shade to relieve a wolf from the merciless sun that shone against a brilliant blue sky, creating a thrilling juxtaposition against the deep red tones of the earth. And of course, among it all travelled creatures like Yrene, a gentle creamy pelt and flashing opalescent eyes seeming incredibly out of place in the rough and rigid environment, but one should not read a book by its cover. A wolf like Yrene; determined, ambitious, courageous and fuelled by wit belonged in such a territory, where all of this would be tested by the land and the Alpha who owned it. The crowd of rogues stopped as their leader did, Yrene's curious gaze wandering around the Commons that she hoped she would be able to call home. It seemed eerily desolate, the only other wolf in sight being the large ebony brute that the Alpha announced as "Azazel," a tough name suited well to such a male. “This is the General of Ferus, and quite possibly one of the most experienced fighters here besides myself, your battle skills will be assessed by myself and Azazel, and from there your fate in Ferus lands will be decided,” the young she-wolf found herself sucking in a deep breath as their trial was decided. She had learnt enough battle techniques from her previous pack to keep her alive in any ordinary fight, but against the Alpha and his General, or the two brutes that had exerted themselves at the borders, she would have no chance at winning. Hopefully her strong will, quick thinking and sheer amount of determination would catch the attention of those who mattered. Yrene doubted they were expecting such a young and inexperience she-wolf like herself to be able to successfully match some of the wolves that had gathered, so hopefully the Alpha would settle with the potential that she would be able to showcase with ease. Wasting no time at all, the other female that had arrived at the borders shortly after herself was paired up with the fearsome General, while the Alpha's eyes rested on none other than Yrene herself. “And you’re with me,” the youngling almost choked. She wasn't exactly sure if she was nervous, excited or a wicked mix of both, but it didn't matter what was pumping the adrenaline through her body, she simply stepped forward as instructed. “Show me your worth keeping,” he growled with intention before he lunged forward, his weight aimed for her shoulder in a movement that wouldn't be quick enough for the first bout of adrenaline as it settled in her limbs, providing her the strength to jump out of his path before he would come into contact with her nimble frame, but nothing was quick enough to dodge the Alpha's flashing teeth as they would lock onto her plush tail. A small yelp escaped her as the first lick of pain shook through her appendage like a zap of electricity. Yrene needed to retaliate. With the Alpha behind her and latched onto her tail, she would shoot out one of her back legs and aim to kick him in the head, hoping to daze him or even scratch him up a little bit, anything to get him off of her sensitive tail. If this didn't work, Yrene would then shift herself around and aim to clamp down on his scruff with a burning purpose, hoping to land some kind of a hit on him to prove that she was smart enough to work her way out of such a delicate hold.

The interior of Ferus' territory left much to be desired, but simultaneously it fulfilled her dreams. It was desert-like. No one could deny that fact. The bleached trees and struggling shrubs did nothing to add any sort of aesthetic beauty. The plant life was alien to the puny Mexican she-wolf. The twists in the trees warped the sky and the bushes seemingly loved to mock her stature. Tinted earth was sure to become a nuisance in the den making process - not that Harley had already spotted the perfect vacant tree that would make a perfect den or anything. The waning morning lead easily into the comfortable sun of midday, and with that, the caravan of wolves stopped. It seemed that their eagerly anticipated trial would be a spar. Azazel, the hulking midnight General, was well over a foot taller than her. If she got matched up with him, she could use her size to her advantage as she zipped beneath him and landed some blows to the ankles. If she played the defense game, not allowing massive jaws to eat her entire hind leg, she should be fine. The Alpha was much smaller than his General, and with the upcoming spar between him and Yrene, she would be able to get a good read on his tactics. On his command, she placed her multicolored rump onto the dry earth and let focused baby blue orbs watch the two fights intently. Already, the Alpha had his jaws around Yrene's tail. This was going to be fun! Alpha Jay General Azazel Yrene @diablo @ketaki Spiras Mira @achak Shale

Shale found his heart beating faster as he and the rest of the rogues made their way to the common grounds of Ferus. It had been a long time since he’d set foot in a pack’s territory, and the realization of how close he was to acceptance, and how easily he could lose it, sent a spike of nervous energy through him despite all he could do to quell it. He hung back on the edge of the group of rogues without knowing he was doing it. He was even farther out of his comfort zone than he’d been at the borders, and he could only imagine what he must look like, his gaze darting from one thing to the next, his eyes as wide and anxious as a pup’s. He forced himself back under control as best he could, focusing on forming an accurate impression of the Ferus lands. They weren’t exactly pretty, but then again they weren’t supposed to be. This landscape was dry and scraggly and not at all inviting; any life here would be eked out with a fair amount of difficulty. But, while difficult, it was not impossible, and the new set of challenges offered a strange excitement of their own. Of course, there was Jay’s “further evaluation” to get through first. Shale kept to the edge of the band of rogues even in the commons, but made sure to give the alpha his full attention. “Here is where you’ll show me your battle skills,” Jay explained, and Shale swallowed hard, because as far as battle skills went, his were nonexistent. But he refused to let himself panic just yet; he would save that until he knew exactly what he was up against. Jay introduced Azazel, a powerful black wolf who apparently served as the Ferus general, explaining that their fates in Ferus would be decided by what happened here today. The words weren’t exactly reassuring to someone like Shale, but he knew how important it was to keep calm for as long as he could. He would obey Jay’s instructions not to move an inch and pay close attention to the sparring. Hopefully he learned enough to prove himself worthy of Ferus. “Show me you’re worth keeping,” Jay had said to Yrene. With any luck, Shale could manage at least that much. All I can do is try. The heart of Ferus was probably less memorable than the brush-littered borders he had found himself at. The hefty brute lumbered obediently along the trail of rogues, free of further conflictions and 'misdemeanors' as the alpha seemed to understand things. Naturally, he still found himself in step with Spiras, the only male he felt he could even remotely trust here. Certainly not because of their battle of dominance, but rather because this male admitted a familiar vibe. And, against his better judgement, some of the other rogues still cast smug glares towards the beast. His anger was already flourishing in this environment, but he finally decided to put it aside and focus on simply following the alpha.
Quite frankly, as the Alpha stopped to introduce his general, Azazel, Diablo felt the ebony wolf as a better spar-mate. Sizes weren't to compare, but the wolf looked mean. He was instructed to sit and watch, which Diablo complied to willingly for once. Resting on his lightly on his haunches, honey orbs caught the first pair of battlers, two of the females. He wasn't surprised to find that the alpha picked his favorite, the yearling. While focusing on the rogues would have been useful for later purposes, Diablo prepared for his own turn by observing the two Ferus wolves. Both of themselves carried themselves with intention, and suddenly battle struck before him abruptly. Considering the size of the yearling, Diablo found it surprising that the Alpha did not hold back, using his weight as a first tactic to overthrow her. If he were paired with the alpha, realistically the brute would not use the same approach, and instead use speed and accuracy to an advantage. Jay was smaller than Diablo, so he made note that he would have to keep a sharp eye on the brutes movements and where his eyes met in order to counter anything that would confuse his bulkier figure. On top of that, he may target his legs because of his weight and balance to gravity. Diablo, in any circumstance, would have to be nimble on his paws to avoid going belly-up.
Azazel, on the other hand, had not yet attacked. He, too, was skinnier than Diablo, but they were around the same height, so he didn't need to worry about loosing sight of his figure so much. Similarly, though, speed and accuracy would be in this males favor. For either spar partner, Diablo would need to consider ways to counter their agility. His weight was important, but he couldn't knock one around if he couldn't even get a hold of one of them.

| The General was unamused by anything that's happening in the commons. The pups were acting like children, and he simply rolled his eyes as he waited patiently for the wolves to disperse. Jay was headed to the borders with three of his offspring, leaving behind the other two who obviously looked to their mother for a simple command. Dis was also asking the Alphess if there was anything that needed to be done. Solex departed with his heavily pregnant mate, as well as the last of Jay’s offspring, and the hunting party soon set out, leaving Azazel alone in the commons once more. Not that he minded, it was peaceful enough within Ferus territory now that the winter had passed. He brought himself to a sitting position, looking around him as he surveyed the area. He wondered what Flint was up to. Although he had no reason to care for the male, he still wondered if the charismatic asshole had gotten killed by someone else. Azazel would have preferred to rip those vocal chords of his out himself, but if someone else had done it before he had, he wasn’t too bothered. His mind then wandered to Absinthe.
His sister that once again abandoned him.
Family had never been a huge thing in Azazel’s life. After Francesca and their dead pups, Azazel had pushed himself away from the idea of a family. Absinthe was one of the only things that had lured him back to the idea. He figured that if he had his own blood alongside him, that maybe he would feel like he fit in. That however, was not the case. The blood driven male didn’t fit into Ferus at all. Although his heart had softened considerably being there, he still held the same blood crazed wolf within him, lurking just under the surface, ready to spring at the first sight of another wolf’s blood. He hadn’t changed from his old ways, even if he had learned that suppressing them is better than letting them run loose. That’s what had driven his sister away. Ferus didn’t shed enough blood, and it was nowhere for a bloodthirsty wolf to live. The harsh climates were more than enough to provide the pack with a harsher look than others, but overall Ferus was not as bad as the packs that Azazel had heard of. There were wolves out there that were worse than Ferus.
As he mused over his thoughts, his ears perked as the thudding pawsteps that came from the east. Looking behind him, he rose to his paws, turning around as his tongue darted out to wet his nose. Yellow eyes concentrated on where the nose came from, he watched as Jay appeared, the one eared Alpha locking eyes with Azazel. The General did not step down. Jay knew that Azazel could kill him. There was no doubt in that. The Alpha was strong, but not strong enough to beat Azazel. They held a mutual respect instead; Azazel wouldn’t kill Jay if Jay let him do what he wanted within certain boundaries. Azazel respected the word of his Alpha, but there were some occasions that Jay knew he could not order Azazel around. Listening as Jay called for him, he sulked up, the black mass of wolf looking over the others as he approached. They were all honestly pitiful. He wouldn’t judge a wolf by their looks, but overall everything they offered, was lacking.
Except for one.
The white she-wolf with pupiless neon green eyes. Her back held a reddish tint, and his yellow hues immediately looked her up and down, sizing her up as Jay talked to the others. She was smaller than him, and was built with muscle from hard work and dedication. His interest was piqued as he watched her, ear flicking as Jay talked about them sparring. He let out a small growl as he moved away from the Alpha, not caring who he picked for an opponent. Instead he was solely focused on her. He wouldn’t ask her name, not yet. Not until he found out if it was worth knowing. Bringing himself to stalk towards the she-wolf, he wouldn’t care if she lashed out first. However, it seemed that she was waiting for him to make the first move, and so the brute made his move quickly.
Stepping forward, the male made a quick lunge for her neck before his paws would sweep underneath her, trying to get her off of her feet. She was lighter than he was, so if she had dodged this, it would be no surprise to the black male. Agility almost always overthrew strength in battle, especially if the brute was reckless enough to think that getting ahold of her would solve things. Instead, he brought himself away from her, watching her with yellow depths as he watched her every move. Watching every muscle work in her body as she moved.
If he were to somehow catch her off guard and sweep her out from under her feet, the male would push himself on top of her, pressing his back paws into her stomach and muzzle to her face as he clamped down on her jaws, shaking his head. Although he knew this was just a spar, he slammed her head against the ground, it would be hard enough for her to be dazed for a moment, and to stop struggling underneath him. He would let go of her muzzle, only to press one of his forepaws against it, teeth grazing against the tip of her ear as his breath fanned over her cheek and neck. Claws digging into the small punctures he had made with his teeth before, he watched as small amounts of blood welled, the crazed wolf inside of him pressing forth. Eyes dilated, he looked to her with a small chuckle, losing himself as he darted his tongue out to lick at the blood decorating her muzzle. Returning his muzzle to her ear, he let out a soft maniacal laugh as he spoke.

Light paws traversed the desolate territory, the land was rocky and unappealing to the eye more of an eyesore really, sandy earth and twisted trees with sparse foliage. It was definitely a unique territory, the cream colored female could definitely agree with that, neon eyes traveled over the group of rogues as they walked, most seemed nervous and unsure of what was to come, some more so than others, especially the young male named Shale. The black wolf seemed particularly nervous but then again he had seemed nervous since the moment he arrived, it would be considerably more weird if the male did not seem nervous right now in all honesty. Ketaki’s red back stripe flared brightly in the sun, the dry heat lingered in the air beating down on her light-colored coat, at least she was not darkly colored like a few of the others here, that was a relief at least. Finally, the group had made it back to what appeared to be the common grounds of the Ferus pack, fresh scents hung in the air heading off towards territories she hoped she would be patrolling herself soon, and a singular wolf was lounged there, a large, black male with bright, yellow eyes, he was certainly handsome and extraordinarily large, he seemed as if he could not care less about any of the rogues gathered here, that brought a bit of a smirk to her face in response. Jay caught their attention by speaking to the group of rogues, “Here is where you’ll show me your battle skills,” the Alpha glanced over his shoulder at the black male quickly. “Azazel,” Ketaki watched as the handsome wolf slowly stood and moved across the ground before Jay once more got their collective attention. “This is the General of Ferus, and quite possibly one of the most experienced fighters here besides myself,” Ketaki could see the brutality in the dark male, but she would have to wait to judge his supposed experience and skill, one could be experienced and have lost every fight they have ever been in, saying one was experienced was a useless term, in her mind anyway. “Your battle skills will be assessed by myself and Azazel, and from there your fate in Ferus lands will be decided,” Jay continued to drag her attention away from the black brute, annoyingly so, but she kept herself calm waiting patiently for his judgement to begin, if it had not begun already. Ketaki watched as Jay’s eyes raked over them before finally the green eyes landed on her, singling her out, “You,” the Alpha paused while pointing his tail at her, “You’re with Azazel.” The pupiless, neon green eyes narrowed, as she gave the Alpha a quick nod of understanding, Ketaki was not one to waste her breath with meaningless words so she hoped a nod would suffice. The female would at least get to see his experience and skill first hand it would seem, the cream colored she-wolf stepped forward watching the General with her haunting eyes. She doubted the male would be off-put by her the pupiless monstrosities that rested in her eyes sockets, sure they were not a sight one saw every day, but if he was really as experienced as the Alpha was leading them all to believe then hopefully he would keep up with expectations and not be thrown by the sight. With a calculated gaze Azazel moved forward, she had registered the quick lunge as his muscles tensed up in his body, but he was quicker than she had anticipated at first almost catching the neck he had lunged for with those sharp fangs, but only almost. His sweeping paws made for her own, trying to throw her off her off balance and probably to the ground as well, but she danced over them expertly with light paws, taking a few steps back, his yellow eyes were watching her, judging her, oh he was smart, experienced indeed, he was testing her to judge her own experience levels oh what a fighter he was shaping up to be. She caught her tail as it began to wag stopping the red and cream banner hopefully before he had seen it as well. Ketaki was enjoying the excitement of a real fight, something she had not experienced in quite some time at least not with another wolf who knew what they were doing. Most she had driven off were just untrained rogues, bears, cougars, and the occasional courageous eagle, but nothing like him, nothing as skilled as he appeared to be so far. A giddy feeling washed over her, as her muscles tensed beneath her pelt, oh the game was on now for sure. She took a few steps forward, neon eyes trained on his own yellow orbs the red stripe on her back standing up flaring a bright, ginger red like the leaves in autumn just before they fell off the trees. She lunged forward with speed that would not have usually been expected from a wolf her size, sure she was not as big as the General was, but for a female wolf she was exceptionally large in stature, usually opting to use her strength and speed in short bursts. The female was aiming at his neck and chest right at where the two met, trying to grab hold of either the front or the side, wherever her teeth might make contact. If she did happen to get a hold Ketaki would try to leverage her weight against his own apparent size and strength and use it to topple him over saying, “It appears you are a bit slow, General Azazel.” If she were to miss or Azazel were to dodge she would be a bit surprised but not for long and she most definitely would not allow him to see her shock. Ketaki would just hurriedly retreat to safety away from the black brute with a smirk on her muzzle and wait to see what his next move would be while simultaneously planning her own.
