The overexuberant Salutary was quick to allow him to come along with her herb adventure, already heading over to the river and spouting off herb names that were completely foreign to the warrior. He was about to follow her towards the more aquatic section of Noctis territory when Luke's alarming howl stopped him in his tracks. He knew that most of the wolves in the small pack were over at the borders, and as he turned to face the borders, the bodies of Makoto and Wren darted past him to aid their family. In an instant, Tamlin was on high alert, but knew he should stay in the commons. Quickly, he called out to the disappearing form of Hoshi, "Sorry Hoshi, I'm going to stay in the commons in case they need me."
It was then that a surprise entered the common grounds. Strangers. Three of them. From the direction of Feyre's Meadow. They must've been what Wren and Makoto were responding to, but why were they in the commons? It seemed like a mother and children. A pang of jealousy struck through him as he watched the mother lie, beckoning her children close. She was obviously warm and caring towards them, while he had to grow up constantly being grated against life's harsh sandpaper. Alas, he made no effort to make contact with them. They were strangers to Tamlin, so no use in getting attached. Every time he truly got to know someone, they disappeared somehow. The warrior stood still, his massive frame only showing the influence of the slight breeze from the angling of his pure fur. Jade-hued eyes resisted the urge to bore into the family with obvious suspicion, instead, lingering upon the trio with masked curiosity. Wren hadn't stopped to let him know what this group's deal was, so he'd treat them as guests for now.
