| -Timeskip: 4 Months-
It had been an eventful four months in Noctis to say the least.
With the passing of four months, his pups had grown. Makoto and Haruka were now walking and talking, beginning to learn the basics of hunting, but not necessarily being able to participate in hunts just yet. He had noticed with his eldest that there were some things that worried him. It was probably nothing if Luke were being honest with himself, but his gut told him that maybe he should look into it, and help Makoto deal with it. Already they were getting so big, and he was happy that his pups were growing up. But a part of his felt dead. Feyre was gone, she wouldn’t be able to see her brothers as they grew up. He wanted so badly to go out and look for her once more, but he knew that he couldn’t leave his pack alone again, and he needed to be here for them. He wanted badly to find where Feyre and Sasha had disappeared to, but he might never know.
The cranberry eyed wolf shuffled a bit in his den, the warmth of Wren at his side, a lazy morning smile coming to his face as he looked over at his mate. Since the announcement of her being Alphess, she had fit into the position rather well, and he fell in love with her more everyday. Placing a gentle lick against her forehead, he brought his paw to rest on top of hers as he stayed there for a second, not wanting to get up and start the day just yet. He wanted to enjoy the peaceful spring morning. He had heard from the borders that Somnus was teeming with life, and he thought that once Makoto and Haruka were older, he would take them to meet the family they hadn’t quite seen just yet. That would be for another time, once the pack had a Beta he could trust to watch over the pack once more. Almost none of the wolves were quite Beta material.
However, there were a few that had gained better ranks. Through her hard work and dedication, Ater had become the Hunting Superior of the pack, leading most hunts and most of them being successful under her guidance. Zachariah had also climbed to the rank of Paladin. Being one of Luke’s best warriors alongside Ozmond, the male had earned his rank through and through. Seven was made a Hunter after Makoto and Haruka left the den, Tamlin moved into a warrior position to train underneath Zachariah, and Aili was a remarkably good scout, helping Ozmond when it came to monitoring the borders. Overall, Noctis had grown quite a bit, but he felt as if something was missing. And that was the cheerful atmosphere that the pack needed and had when there were so many wolves mulling about. Maybe he would head out to the borders with Ozmond and Aili today, to see if there were rogues about to possibly accept.
Finally deciding that it was time to rise, he gave Wren a nuzzle to fully wake her and to let her know that he was getting up. “It's time to begin the day sweetheart,” He spoke softly. “I would be more than happy if we stayed here though,” He chuckled, knowing that it was an ill-mannered joke. Pulling himself to his feet, he poked his head out into the commons to see if there was anyone out and about quite yet. It was quite early, so most of the wolves would be sleeping. Giving a small smile at the peace, he pulled himself fully from his den, shaking his pelt in the warm spring breeze that gentle brushed through the commons. Morning light streaming through the leaves above. Breathing in, he sat down as he breathed out, waiting patiently for Wren to join him, along with the other Noctis wolves.

\-Timeskip- Ater was sleeping peacefully in her little den. There wasn’t much decorating the inside of it, mostly barren with a few feathers here and there that she had found throughout the territory. One was an owl feather, something rare and delicate that she kept in a small alcove located at the back of her den. Otherwise, she wasn’t much to keep anything in her private living space. Stirring a bit, she was finally awake, and there was no going back to sleep until later that day. Sighing, eyes opened to view the morning light shining through the trees of the common grounds. Spring had come quickly, and with it brought Luke’s pups to a good age to begin training. Along with the new season, Ater had achieved a new rank. Becoming the Hunting Superior was something she was extremely proud of, and so she wore her rank with dignity, and put her best efforts into hunts. With Seven becoming a hunter once more, and Zachariah and Tamlin often joining them for hunts, it could be said that nine times out of ten they were successful. It felt good to bring home better meals every day for the pack, especially with spring about and there being more than enough prey to go around. Ater had found herself falling for the newly ranked Paladin. He had been one of the wolves she had first opened up to, and now he was one of the only wolves she trusted with anything and everything she was feeling, minus how she felt about him. She hadn’t told anyone, but she wasn’t sure if her feelings were obvious or not. She was quite flustered around the male, trying to put on a good show but always embarrassing herself in front of him some way. She had tripped over her own feet one time just walking alongside him and not paying attention to how balance she was, and she had not lived that down since. She shook her head as she came out of her den, seeking out the male’s almost immediately to see if he had risen from the burrow yet. Seeing that he hadn’t, she trotted over, seeing that Luke was awake. Giving a dip of her head towards the Alpha, she appeared at the mouth of Zachariah’s den, and poked her head in. “Hey Zach its time to wake up!” She called, her voice strong but her entire confidence trembling where she stood. “I wanted to know if you would want to come with me to the lake to do some fishing,” She blurted out, not sure why she was talking as fast as she was. Her heart was going about as fast as her words, but she kept herself composed as she pulled away from his den, waiting for him to appear and give her an answer. Paladin Zachariah

WORK CAN BE FUN IF YOU LAUGH A LITTLE
The warmth pressed against her mate was not in the least bit unpleasant, even with the weather warming up. The past four months had been hectic. Taking on the duty of Alphess was very similar to being a Beta when she was one of the only other superiors in the pack. She took it in her stride, directing the wolves around her with a similar respect that she had had as hunting superior. Now that role belonged to Ater. The she-wolf had proven herself countless times on the hunting grounds, and after being an Omega and a simple hunter for so long, both she and Luke had agreed that a promotion was in order. Zachariah had also gotten a boost, the warrior becoming the Paladin. The friendly male hadn't had the chance to truly prove himself, and with luck, Noctis wouldn't need to have many warriors to fight in any battles. However, when it came to teaching Makoto and Haruka some basic fighting skills, he and Ozmond had been vital. With Ozmond still the General, Paladin was a fitting rank for Zach.
A loving lick upon her head and paws resting atop her own woke her from her sleep, the Alphess humming a quiet displeasure to being roused. “It's time to begin the day sweetheart,” Luke's nuzzle against her prompted her amber eyes to crack open for the first time today, “I would be more than happy if we stayed here though.” A chuckle left the good-humored she-wolf, her head rising up to lick Luke's cheek as she rose to her paws. Giving her pelt a hearty shake to free it from the odd patterns that sleep always seemed to plague her with, Wren emerged from the den to stand beside her mate. "You know we can't just stay inside, we have work to do big guy," she murmured to him, her shoulder pressed against his where they sat. The morning light was still waking up itself, so it would take a few minutes for the rest of Noctis to wake up as well. Though they were a strong, close family, their ranks were almost disappointingly small. Perhaps it was time to finally accept in some new faces? The last female they had accepted, the one who had gotten her so flushed at the idea of being mistaken for Luke's mate (oh how the times have changed!) was Ladislava, and she was fitting in wonderfully with the rest of the pack. A brief spell of nausea overcame Wren, her weight pressing onto Luke's shoulder a bit harder for a minute while she tried to control her stomach. The last doe they had feasted on was old and wiry, so maybe her stomach wasn't agreeing to such aged meat?

Timeskip: 4 monthMany suns and moons had passed over Noctis's blue sky, and change could be felt in the air. Time had certainly made it's effect on the wolves of the pack, some were making their first steps on their life, while others were advancing through maturity, gaining ranks and status on the territory. One of these wolves was Zachariah himself, whom had managed to finally advance from his previous warrior title, to no other than the rank of Paladin. Despite how proud the male felt about this new accomplishment, he would not say this new responsability was the best that had happened during these last few months at Noctis. No, no, that would be his ever growing relationship with a certain female of the pack, who had also been promoted on the hierarchy. Hunting Superior Ater, that grim and mysterious figure that was virtually nothing on Zack's life aside from a regular packmate he shared home with, had turned herself into a great ally, an even better hunting party member and over all of that, a reliable, caring and valuable friend. Lately though, things had started to change between the two. An emotion emerged everytime she showed up, something he hadn't felt ever since Sasha. “Hey Zach its time to wake up!” heard the male, a soothing voice from his side. "Wha-What's goin'-" said the male, barely awake, feeling the sunshine entering his eyeballs, with the only thing in the way between them and the blazing eyes of the sun was none other, than the Yukon wolf herself. Ater had made her presence known, and the former warrior couldn't have been happier. "Heya there!" chirped Zachariah, excited that his friend had decided to come over to his den. "What brings ya to my humble abode?" he asked, jokingly, only to be responded with a proposition. “I wanted to know if you would want to come with me to the lake to do some fishing,” said Ater, speaking oddly fast, like she was nervous or something. The paladin didn't pay mind to this though, and containing himself from basically screaming an affirmative response, calmly said "Of course, of course fella, doin' some early fishin' seems like a good way to kickstart the day," accepted Zach, starting to walk towards the lake. Ohh boy, easy there dumb heart

General Ozmond of noctis Ozmond was happy with Noctis life. So far nothing drastic has happened and they've been relatively at peace over the last few months. He was grateful for their blessed winter season and so far, a gentle spring seemed to be their future. Oz relaxed just outside his den as the sun rose and warmed his sleeping area. He dozed in and out of sleep as he listened to the wakings of others. How serene this life had become. When Luke was ready to start the day, Ozmond rose with a yawn, releasing the last little bit of sleepiness. Shaking his pelt out, he stood at the ready for any commands his Alpha, or his Alphess, gave him. When the orders were given out, and Ozmond would be with Luke, he followed after him without anything else to say. He looked to his party members with a good morning smile. He spoke if anyone spoke to him, but remained quiet for trip otherwise.

WORK CAN BE FUN IF YOU LAUGH A LITTLE
Her bought of nausea lasted only a minute, her roiling stomach settling nicely back into complacent normalcy as the she-wolf stretched her back. The morning was still early, but already Zach and Ater were awake, stealing each other away in the direction of the river. A small coy smile bloomed onto the Alphess' face, the pair of wolves reminded her of when Luke had drawn her away and they had both confessed to their feelings. They had been spending a lot of time together lately, perhaps something more than a friendly outing was going to blossom between them too.
Makoto's quickly maturing frame disappearing from the commons didn't escape the Alphess' gaze. While not her own pups, she loved Makoto and Haruka just as much as she expected to love her own. Luke's sons were his pride and joy, and that made them hers as well. With both boys growing up suddenly and becoming more and more helpful around the commons, they were loved by most, if not all of Noctis. However, at only 4 months old, it probably wasn't best for him to be out wandering through Noctis territory on his own. Giving Luke a parting lick on the cheek, she softly murmured to him, "I'm going to go make sure Makoto's alright. Maybe do some bonding along the way." Padding away from her mate, the Alphess set her course behind Mako's. He traveled in the direction of Fey're Meadow - a beautiful field of flowers that bloomed beautifully at this time of year. The perfect place to talk to the young male, Wren decided as she followed his trail. word count: 290

Post by Warrior Tamlin on Aug 3, 2019 1:11:54 GMT -8
Over the past 4 months, Tamlin had finally stopped growing. The male was hulking, one of the largest in Noctis - ironic for being one of the smallest members only a mere year ago. He'd also been rewarded a new rank. Now a warrior, the alabaster male was spending more time than ever with Zach learning truly how to fight. That is, when Zach was around. Even this early in the morning, as Tamlin squeezed his shoulders through the mouth of his den, he saw Ater and his mentor slinking away. However, Zach's distraction had led him to form another, albeit odd, friendship. Ladislava, the thickly-accented wannabe Salutary had managed to talk some sense into the yearling, drawing him from his receding shell of grief. It was grueling, the two often butting heads in their progress, but Tamlin could safely say that Lava was a friend. Or at least someone that he could talk to, or just shoot a smile in the morning. With seemingly nothing of excitement happening yet except for a few wolves departing from the commons, Tamlin released a yawn from his maw and made sure that his back cracked satisfyingly as he stepped into the light. Jade-hued eyes scanned the commons for any other signs of life before they settled upon Luke. As always, Tamlin expected him to direct the day. He looked for Lava as well, knowing that Zach probably wouldn't be found for a few hours. He was ready to go, and for once, excited for the day to start. Alpha Luke @ladislava

Post by Salutary Hoshi on Aug 7, 2019 4:19:57 GMT -8
The last few months were one of the most peaceful times Noctis had experienced, a huge contrast to the events that had unfolded before. Many members of the pack had moved up through the ranks, Tamlin - a warrior, Zach now a Paladin, Seven - a hunter and Ater now a Hunting Superior. Hoshi was ecstatic for their promotions. Meanwhile, she spent most of her days gathering more herbs to add on to her fancy collection that poured out of her den. Ladislava had turned out to be a really efficient healer upon first entering the pack, and Hoshi was glad to have her around. She took pride in exchanging knowledge with Lava, and watching the older one grow as an apprentice with practice. Hoshi's bubbly nature clicked well with Lava's, and the duo always enjoy a hearty discussion about almost everything. Most important of all, Lava exuded confidence and tremendous passion when it came to practicing healing, and Hoshi would often find herself smiling in approval when the hardworking Omega assisted in the storage of herbs. And as the icy snow melted away, came the comforting warmth of Spring. Lava became more open towards the other pack members, and Tamlin soon rose up to be her one of her best companion. Hoshi was relieved to see her finally comfortable in Noctis. Besides getting to know Ladislava better, Hoshi found herself chatting with Seven more often. When Ladislava and her were not busy gathering herbs, or studying their effects together, the healer would be seen speaking gregariously to the former Alphess in her usual hyper voice. In a short four months, Hoshi got to know Seven better than she had for the past year. Makoto and Haruka rapidly transformed into two lovely talking pups, and Hoshi wouldn't be the least surprise when they would both eventually tower above the petite, orangish-flecked lady. Hoshi would go on and on cheerily to the Seven about how much her pups had grown, and how adorable they were. When the two young ones poked their curious snouts in to listen, Hoshi would continue to praise: "Oh just look at the two of you! You're gonna be taller than me someday!". "I'm going to go make sure Makoto's alright. Maybe do some bonding along the way." Her ears pricked upon hearing the name of one of Seven's pups mentioned. Hoshi peeked out of her den sleepily, her eyes barely open. Make sure Makoto's alright? Hoshi was befuddled. What did she miss? She was usually an early riser, but it seemed that this time the Commons was awake much earlier. Stretching her paws out lazily, she pushed herself up and headed out, squinting in the glaring sunlight. Upon emerging from the cozy warmths, she searched for Wren, who's familiar voice had woken the Salutary up. As she watched greyish coated Alphess head towards the meadows, Hoshi scrunched her face up in confusion, before a sudden realisation hit her. Had Makoto wandered out of the Commons on his own? Hoshi felt her heart nearly skipping a beat. He's only four months old! The taunting memory of young Aedion's lifeless figure flashed past her eyes, and Hoshi flattened her ears anxiously at the thought. He was way too young to be wandering out of their supervision, and the healer was frightened by the thought that the same tragedy would repeat. While Wren calmly made her way out, looking for the light copper pup, Hoshi felt panic push up her throat, but she managed to push it back down by swallowing. Hastily, Hoshi made her way to his mother to inform her. Stopping outside Seven's den, she whispered urgently: "Seven. Makoto, he went out on his own..."@seven Alphess Wren

|| Timeskip || Waking up for the past nearly five months had been enjoyable for Aili, the most enjoyable risings she had ever had in this pack. Ever since that hunt a few months ago, Aili's attitude had changed, and as a result, her skills had grown. Once she had felt the satisfaction of being a valuable asset to the pack, that had become her life; waking up every day ready to do something to help and to better herself further. The female had let go of her attitude after that intangible and un-identifiable cocktail of feelings left her, and now she was more light-hearted and less mopey. A lot of other growth had happened in the pack, as well. Wren becoming Alphess, and Ater and Zach rising through the ranks. Aili hoped some day that the same would happen to her, though she knew she was young, and hoped that her work ethic could get her there. Aili maintained a sort of relationship with Ozmond, eternally grateful for how he had went out of his way to make her comfortable from day one. She also still liked to talk to Wren when she could, though sometimes she felt awkward and perhaps a little unworthy now that she was Alphess, so it seemed her conversations with Wren had dwindled a bit since. With a stretch to thaw her limbs and a yawn to thaw her grogginess, she rose from her den and emerged into the commons, where it seemed that Luke had something planned for the day. Wren spoke to Luke, before walking away. Padding closer, she awaited to see if he indeed had directions for her. When he gave her his words, she would follow and flank Ozmond. A smile that he gives her is returned sincerely, ready to start her day right. @ozmond Alpha Luke Alphess Wren || Exit to Noctis Borders ||

Post by Hunting Superior Ater on Aug 27, 2019 8:58:38 GMT -8
Ater was not sure if Zach would be willing to accept her proposition. Her heart was racing as she looked to him, blue eyes timidly watching him as she waited for his answer. The beautiful honey amber hues she had come to lose herself in looked away from her in that moment as he said that he was willing to go with her. She wanted to prance around as if she were a pup, but instead she let her heart keep its steadily growing pace as she watched him start to walk towards the lake. The Hunting Superior watched for a moment before she herself caught up with him. It seemed that most of the pack was dispersing to do their own thing at the moment, and with no command from Luke towards either her or Zachariah, she was sure that it would be fine for them to sneak off for some time alone, right? As she thought about it more, her heart could barely handle it as she realized that she would be alone with Zach. No interruptions, just the two of them. Sure, they had gone hunting together before, but Tamlin or Aili would usually come with for training or something. Or there would just be someone there, keeping them from really spending any time alone. But now that she thought about it, she was more nervous to be alone with him, and possibly saying something dumb. But Zach was nice, and he would never hate her if she said something dumb. Or at least, that’s what she thought. No, he was too kind to sit there and judge others unless its a rightful judgement. As her mind picked up, she had fallen behind. Clearing her head, she trotted to catch up with him, coming up next to him as she walked, thoughts buzzing around her head like a hive of bees. -Exit- Paladin Zachariah

| Luke let out a small huff as Wren pointed out the obvious. They had work to do, but part of him just wanted to spend the day relaxing. Spending it in the den with her was more than enough for him. Cranberry eyes looked towards the commons as wolves started to finally appear, but Luke was slightly distracted as his mate pushed a little harder on his shoulder than before. Looking over towards her, he was a bit worried for his mate as her face screamed that something was wrong. But it seemed that she recovered quickly, and so he would wait to ask her what was wrong later. He saw that Ater and Zachariah were awake, Ozmond quickly following them to be the first one’s awake. The first two had gained new ranks, as their hard work and efforts in the pack had not gone unnoticed. Zachariah was one of his best warriors, helping training Aili and Tamlin for future wars if there ever were to be one. Simply fighting and defensive tactics were best to teach the younglings of the pack the basics. Ater had become the Hunting Superior due to her dedication to hunting and helping feed the pack. The she-wolf was ambitious, and Luke had noticed during hunts how she took charge and came up with hunting strategies for everything.
He was pulled from his thoughts as the lanky form of his son Makoto appeared and disappeared rather quickly. The young male seemed to always be on edge around everyone, only really being able to calmly reside at Haruka’s side. The two pups were his sons, and he loved each one no matter what, but the weight of his ex-mateship held itself above all of their heads. Seven had been pleasant enough from what he could tell about him finding a new mate, and Wren had taken the two boys as if they were her own. He was glad she held nothing against them. It was not their fault that Luke and Seven had parted, and Wren’s acceptance of them, even if they were not blood to her, was enough to calm his nerves when it came to interactions among the packs. It was still a bit awkward between Luke and Seven, but he would eventually get over it. Especially for his sons. Wren spoke of following Makoto, and he gave a smile and nod as she took off after the young male. Although they were old enough to venture through the territory, the overprotective father in him still wanted someone accompanying them at all times.
After Wren’s departure, he was sure that it was time to start the day, so he barked for the attention of his wolves. “Ozmond, Ladislava, Aili,” He spoke their names, looking towards them. “We’ll be heading to the borders to greet any new wolves that have found themselves there,” He spoke, watching as Zach and Ater disappeared as well. The two were probably going hunting. Haruka would be fine in the commons with Seven and Hoshi he was sure of it, the Salutary letting Seven know that one of her sons had taken off. “Wren went to make sure Mako was okay,” He spoke as he walked by, looking towards Hoshi. “Maybe you and Seven could do some herb hunting while the rest of us are at the borders,” He suggested, then headed off, the wolves he needed in tow as they made their way to the borders.

Dark green eyes watched as Wren disappeared to follow Makoto. It seemed that those events were the only thing to actually get the day going, besides two of the other superiors slinking off. As Luke began to open his mouth to assign jobs, Tamlin stepped closer. For once, he was excited about the day's work. He wanted to have a job, to get something done and to help out his family. Ladislava had brought out that in him. He wanted to be an active part of his community rather than stay alone and isolated from everyone else. But... he was not on Luke's list of chosen wolves to head to the borders. And with both Wren and Ater gone, and most of the other wolves elsewhere, there was no way to establish a hunt either. That would be a loss. Spring brought fawns, and fawns made for easy meals. Noting Luke addressing Hoshi, and recalling how the spunky Salutary had tried to get his mood up before, Tamlin hauled his gargantuan frame over to the pair. He had never been on a herb collecting trip before, but what better way to help his packmate out. The yearling dipped his head once he reached them, "I don't have a job this morning. Could I help you with anything you need to do?" He mustered up a small smile, the weather, and the possibility of learning something new improving his mood. Maybe he could even use any new knowledge he could gain in the future. Who knew, the warrior could follow in Lava's pawsteps and become a Salutary Apprentice. He doubted it though. “Wren went to make sure Mako was okay.” Hoshi's ears pricked at the gentle low voice that floated from behind. The salutary turned to see the Alpha addressing her while hastily making his way towards the borders: “Maybe you and Seven could do some herb hunting while the rest of us are at the borders.” Hoshi gave a determined nod with a bright smile: "Right away, sir!" Perhaps she would ask Ladislava to come along too, after all this would be really good practice for her. However, one glance across the commons and the sniff of the air, told Hoshi that the apprentice was nowhere to be found within the oak trees here. Where is she? At the corner of her emerald eyes, Hoshi noticed a few wolves slipping behind the trees after Luke. Ah, Lava must had been one of those going to the borders too. The commons was mostly empty except for them. Swishing her tail enthusiastically, the healer was about to race back to her den to double check her herbs collection again, when the voice she least expected to hear piped up: "I don't have a job this morning. Could I help you with anything you need to do?" Pleasantly surprised, Hoshi widened her eyes and swooped around to face the warrior with a bright grin of her own. There was finally a soft smile on his snout, a nice change for the perpetual heavy, deflated look he usually held. She wondered if his bright mood, and willingness to help out with herbs had came from Ladislava's bubbly demeanour. Nonetheless, the petite lady felt her smile widen in relief, seeing that Tamlin's mood had finally been lightened after what seemed like forever. And for someone else to take an interest in herbs just like her and Lava, was not something that happened everyday. "Sure!! The more paws at work, the better!" Hoshi chirped cheerily, literally bouncing in joy. Her tail was wagging so vigorously that her whole frame was shaking. Rushing to her den, Hoshi halted and scanned the neat piles of herbs laying before them. "There's plenty of herbs in the commons, which I usually find every morning from my daily herb hunts," she rambled on. "But of course, the forest surrounding the lake is teeming with fresh herbs too! I really do hope to find some alder bark for toothaches, just in case... And oh! Maybe wild mint - they really give off this calming smell and lotus... What'd ya say about going there today?" Flicking her ears, Hoshi headed off towards the forest river, unable to wait for their adventure to begin. Exit: Forest river/ Misty lakeWarrior Tamlin

For once in her despicable life, it appeared she and her children hadn’t been foiled. For once in her pained existence, it appeared everything could actually be alright. The forest was fantastically dense, thick enough to hide them from any furious, prying eyes. The air was cool and still, far from the frigid winter blasts. And the earth was soft, yielding, splendid. Greenery as far as an eye could see. As all knew, nothing grew in Ignasia. They were far enough from their hunters now; tucked away in a place where they would have the advantage — should anything come to pass, of course. She could only hope that her faith was well placed, but for one fleeting, utterly fantastical moment, she felt her mind free of worry. All she truly wanted to do was lie down on fresh mosses, stretch her stick thin limbs till they popped, and sleep till the summer. And she’d every intention of doing just that. There was a perfectly suitable patch just beneath the oak trees, where the sunlight filtered through fine green leaves. It was here that she left her limbs give way as she flopped on her back, savoring the soft rustle of leaves on her skin. She almost felt like laughing in that whimsy, carefree way she once had. A small, twitching smile sufficed instead. “Come lie down,” she breathed, her voice holding a peace unknown to it as she closed her eyes, soaking up silence. “Sleep by me for a while. We can dream for now,” She muttered as sleep gently tugged at her aching lids. Tagged: Zayn Lotus
