Hello all! Keala, the only daughter of Ventus and Mochi, is now up for adoption! As Wren is trying to cut back on characters, she decided she would give someone else a try for the cutie<3 Without furtherado, here she is!
Name: Keala Age: 6 Months Gender: Female Species/Subspecies: Arctic X Timber Wolf Cross
Family: Ventus (Mother), Mochi (Father), Lysic (Half-Brother), Hydran (Half-Brother), Fenrir (Half-Brother), Devika (Half-Sister), Erramun (Half-Brother; deceased), Lirik (Half-Brother, deceased), Macha (Adopted Sister)
Personality: Keala is the perfect mix of her parents. Deep within her lies the stone of a fiery she-wolf, not about to be pushed around or put up with any harassment. A strong, independent she-wolf, Keala always strives to be better and improve on her skills. Whether it be sparring, hunting, scouting, tracking, anything that she can improve on, she wants to. Not one to shy away from humour, Keala is always up for a laugh. Lubrusca is her family, and she loves each member dearly. Her father’s attitude lends her a level head and the ability to show compassion towards all that need it. She’s close with all of her older half-siblings, but she is closest with Lysic. She likes learning from him, his strategies and thinking influences her own as she matures.
Appearance: Standing at 2'6" and a length of 6' even, Keala weighs about 110 pounds, being almost a perfect blend of lithe and muscular. She has beautiful white fur that has some milkier colors around her belly and muzzle, some light red on her back that she inherited from her mother being one of the only other colors she sports. Upon her face are beautiful orange eyes, standing out among the white and giving her face the pop it needs to be all the more beautiful.
If you would like to apply for Keala, please use the application below!

Personality: I’m actually really intrigued by her personality as it stands, if that’s all right. Roleplay Sample: The plump grouse scratching at the forest floor in search of insects had no idea of the danger it was in. Keala edged forward slowly, inch by inch, setting her paws down soundlessly to avoid startling her prey. Her eyes narrowed in concentration, her entire focus on the bird in front of her. Careful. Don’t get over-excited. Closer, just a little closer...now!Keala leapt, paws extended to pin the bird down. Feathers exploded into the air as the grouse took off, flapping its wings and squawking raucously as it fluttered out of the white she-wolf’s reach. Keala let out a sigh of frustration. Somehow she always mistimed her jumps, managing to miss her target by mere inches. She’d been trying to work on the problem for almost two weeks with little success; she had even asked for her father’s advice. Mochi had told her not to push herself too hard, to let her hunting skills develop naturally, with practice. Practice was alright, but Keala disliked the idea of leaving “room for improvement” in anything she did. She wanted nothing more than to be the best she could be- in everything. “That wasn’t bad,” a voice observed from behind her, and Keala turned around to face Lysic, who sat a few yards away watching her endeavors. “No, it wasn’t bad,” Keala agreed. “But it could have been better. And I could have actually caught the bird.” Lysic tilted his head to one side, considering. Keala couldn’t hold back a smile; more so than any of her other half-siblings, Lysic was a thinker. Which was why she didn’t expect his next words. “Maybe you’re thinking too much.” “I never thought I’d hear you say that,” Keala said. “What do you mean?” “You’re trying too hard to be perfect,” Lysic said. “Why don’t you stop thinking so much about what you should be doing to make sure you succeed, and just do what comes naturally, what your instincts tell you to do?” “That’s what Dad said,” Keala replied. Lysic nodded. “I’d say he’s right. And don’t worry. It’ll come to you. It just might take time.” “I’ll try it again,” Keala said. “And this time I’ll do what you said.” “You might have to wait on that,” Lysic said. “Don’t you remember? Dad said we were going to the borders today, to look over the new rogues.” “Oh, that’s right,” Keala said. “I was so wrapped up in this that it slipped my mind for awhile.” The prospect of new blood joining the ranks of Lubrusca excited her. Lubrusca was her family; she loved each and every member and she welcomed the chance to see it grow. The last time the borders had been opened, she’d found a special friend- a shy, awkward little pup who had immediately stirred her sympathies. She’d taken the pup under her wing, so to speak, and had enjoyed getting to see her come out of her shell as the months went by. She glanced at Lysic. “We should get back quickly,” she said. “Race you to the commons?” Without waiting for his answer, she took off. Lysic, left behind her, called out, his voice fading as she ran. “Now wait just a minute! You didn’t even give me a chance to answer!” Keala only kept going, knowing he would catch up to her soon enough and they’d both be laughing about it. She loved the camaraderie between them, loved the family bond that held Lubrusca together. And she was looking forward to seeing that family grow and change, staying strong no matter what the future held. OOC: The rogues at the borders and Keala’s little friend are not actual characters, if that needs to be said. I invented them for this roleplay sample because I really wanted to incorporate Keala’s compassionate side and this seemed like the best way to do that. If it’s weird I apologize.

Personality: Other than accentuating her more fiery nature and maybe making her just a little respectfully defiant (only in order to challenge or put into question ideals that she doesn't necessarily believe in), I wouldn't add, take-away, or change anything at all!
Roleplay Sample:
Keala had awoken early that morning, earlier than usual, and wondered what she could possibly do to pass the time. The sun hadn't even begun to light the day yet and she knew that was no going back to sleep once she was awake. Her mind was always too busy to settle again. Sighing, the young female dipped down into a bow, stretching her legs and giving way to a wide yawn as she rose back up into a full standing position. Glancing about and seeing that no other wolf was yet awake, the daughter of Mochi and Ventus decided that she would venture out on her own for a change; not very far, of course. Just to the clearing to see if she could make a meal of some unfortunate little squirrel or perhaps a couple of tiny voles. She needed the practice anyway. Being the daughter of Alphas, she wanted nothing more than to make her parents proud and to prove herself to her pack. It was these desires that drove her to do her very best at everything she attempted; because of this, she was a bit of a perfectionist and could become quite frustrated when she couldn't get something the first few times she tried. Even still, she tried to keep a cool head and to not let herself be dissuaded by failure.
Mind made up, Keala pranced excitedly but quietly out of her den and made her way out into the clearing that was nearby. The white wolf's sudden presence disturbed an owl that had been perched nearby in one of the trees that made up the thick barrier between her pack's territory and others' and he made his presence known as well by calling out to her. At the sudden noise, her ears perked...and then dropped to lie flat against her head for a moment. If the owls were still out hunting, there would be no hope of her finding anything to snack on. The owl would get there first. They always did. The red stripe of fur along her back prickled for just a moment, the only sign that she was frustrated with her the situation, before she calmed herself down and sat to consider other options.
That was when she noticed him. It seems that she wasn’t the only early riser that morning. Seeing her brother sparked joy within her and it was like she was a puppy again. She leapt to her paws and bounded over noisily, not trying to sneak up on him at all. She had no doubt that Lysic noticed her as soon as she entered the clearing any way….he was probably just testing her to see how long it took her to notice that he was there. It was a test that she had surely failed…lesson learned. She should always be aware of her surroundings, even within her own territory. In the back of her mind, she wondered if he would mention how long it took for her to notice him. Of course, she didn’t let that worry stop her from tackling him playfully from behind, her joy finding the form of laughter as she collided with her half-brother. Growling ferociously now, but still playfully, she nipped at his ears with her fully-grown adult teeth. They weren’t as sharp as her puppy teeth had been, but they were stronger and she bit down harder than she’d intended. Lysic jumped up and shook her off, surprised only by the strength of her nipping. His sudden motion caused her to lose her balance and tumble sideways. She struggled for a moment to regain her composure, laughing all the while. Her laughter stopped abruptly when her brother’s lips curled into a snarl. It wasn’t out of anger, but out of warning that she’d bitten too hard for play. Keala’s ears dipped immediately and she whimpered softly, as she rolled over briefly to beg for her brother’s forgiveness.
“I’m sorry,” she apologized as she rolled back over onto her paws to sit near him. Lysic being the most patient wolf she’d ever met, she knew that his mock-angry warning wouldn’t last and that he would forgive her. She didn’t even wait for him to acknowledge the apology before she started up again. “What are you doing?”
“I was enjoying the peace and quiet,” Lysic returned with a half annoyed smirk and a shake of his head at his sister.
"Oh, well…that’s over now,” Keala stated matter-of-factly. “Will you spar with me?” He had to of known it was coming. Keala never passed up an opportunity to learn and hone her skills. She especially loved learning from Lysic.
OOC: I am obviously new and not very familiar with territories and such just yet, so please excuse any and all discrepancies in my sample!

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again! I’m taking another stab at this cutie bug. <3
Personality: As with my previous application, I’d like to leave her personality as it is. Between my nervous little Shale and...whatever Kalia is now, I haven’t gotten the chance yet to play a fiery, confident charrie like Keala. I’m intrigued by the personality she has right now and I don’t think there’s anything I’d want to add.
Roleplay Sample:
The bright sun of a cloudless spring morning shone down on the lands of Lubrusca, lending a vividness, a feeling of life, to the territory. The lush grass underfoot seemed greener than it usually did, the sky clearer, the breeze more gentle. Birdsong echoed faintly in the air, and a golden butterfly flitted lazily from wildflower to wildflower. The day had only just begun, and already it was shaping up to be beautiful.
Keala, daughter of Ventus and Mochi, didn’t exactly take the time to notice. Her focus was entirely on one single thing.
There. The faint hint of a scent on the air. Keala switched direction, trotting briskly over Lubrusca’s hunting grounds. She kept her eyes open, looking for any sign of her quarry. And her search did not entirely go unrewarded. The traces were there, once she looked hard enough for them- a crushed leaf here, a snapped twig there, a tuft of grass pushed down by a footstep. She was on the right trail.
Compared to just a few weeks ago, her tracking skills had certainly improved. In her typical perfectionist fashion, Keala never settled for less than her best. She was a fast learner, and even at just six months old she was a fair hunter and scout. Her sparring too was coming along nicely.
Tracking, however- tracking was harder for her. Not because tracking in and of itself was difficult, but because Keala’s passionate and energetic nature meant that she often threw herself into the task with too much zeal. In her quest to be better, to do as well as possible in everything, she often overlooked the small, inconspicuous details that made all the difference in tracking.
Since she’d figured out what her problem was, she’d grown determined to overcome it. Now, as she followed the faint and fading trail through the forest, she forced herself to take it slowly, to keep a sharp eye and watch out for the smallest of signs. She pictured her father in her mind. Mochi was always calm, always sensible. She’d started to develop the same traits, but her fiery, spirited side often took over. With time, she’d be able to balance the two, but for now she’d have to keep working at it.
Work was never something Keala shied away from. If there was something she needed to improve, she pushed herself to do so. She was doing it now, making herself pay attention to the little things she ordinarily would have missed.
Her nose twitched, and she lifted her head, testing the air. Yes, the scent was stronger now. She was close. She’d catch up with her quarry any minute now. Half a smeared footprint in the ground...a broken spiderweb a little farther on...
The scent grew even heavier, reinforcing in Keala’s mind that she was almost at the end of the chase. In fact, all the signs pointed to one location: the large gray boulder a yard or two in front of her. Keala’s mind made another transition: from a focused tracker to a dedicated member of the Lubrusca family. She made a wide circle around the boulder, approaching from the front instead of the back. Sitting beside the rock was the familiar onyx form of Macha, her adopted sister. Because of Macha’s lack of hearing, Keala was always certain to approach from within her field of vision to avoid startling her.
It was true that Macha wasn’t like most wolves, but Keala loved her adopted sister all the more because of it. The bond between the two of them wasn’t as strong as the one between Keala and Lysic, but it was a strong bond nonetheless. She felt something of a protective instinct towards Macha, as well as a respect for her. Any wolf who dared to suggest that Macha was somehow on a different level than the rest of the pack would have had Keala’s fiery fury to contend with.
“There you are,” Macha said. “You did better this time.” Her words came a bit strangely, enunciated more clearly and stiffly than was usual, but Keala had grown used to it. She nodded happily, a grin spreading over her face.
“It could still use some work, though,” she said. “It took longer to find you then I would have liked.” Though Macha couldn’t hear her words, she always seemed to understand exactly what others were saying.
She glanced up at the sun, now high in the sky. “We should be getting back,” she said. Then, glancing at her sister with eyes that twinkled mischievously, she added, “Race you back to the commons! I’ll give you a head start!”
