ROLLING GUIDE |
Rolls will take place in the designated Discord category using a dice bot, so we don't clog up the forum with dice. Be sure to roll in the correct channel. All RP posts, however, will take place on the forum. The discord will only serve as a dice-rolling tool. RP will not take place there. Follow the rolling guide to determine what your rolls mean. After all rolls are made on Discord, the actions can be roleplayed out in the threads. In the designated discord channel, you will type in the given roll numbers for each category when you're ready to. Type it exactly as is, including the ! BATTLE ROLLS If you have encountered a faction or wombie player, you must each roll to determine who will survive. It doesn’t matter who rolls first. Roll a dice and post it to see the results. The person with the highest-valued roll will survive, and the other will die. If it is a tie, roll again. A written attack post can then be made in the forum thread. Each opponent will roll !1d20 for their battle roll. Whoever's roll is highest, wins. DEATH SAVING ROLLS If you have been defeated by a wombie player, you must roll a death saving roll. Roll one dice. If the number is 1-10, your character will die. If the number is 11-20, your character will become a wombie and can go about killing/infecting other players. The player will roll !1d20 for their saving roll. SNEAK & INVESTIGATION ROLLS If you are entering the thread of an enemy player (wombie or faction player), you must roll to stealth. That is, to pass through undetected and steal resources successfully. Likewise, if an enemy player has entered your area, you can roll an investigation roll to try to catch and kill them. If your investigation roll is higher than their stealing roll, you will catch them, and battle rolls will begin. If not, the sneaker passes undetected and will do a resource roll. The sneaker will roll !1d20 for a sneak check. The defender will roll !1d20 for an investigation check. RESOURCE ROLLS If a stealth roll is successful against an investigation roll, a resource roll can be made to determine how many of each resource is stolen. There are four resources (Water:Food:Building Materials:Medicine). Up to 12 of each can be stolen. So, if you succeed a stealth roll, you will then roll the following in the resource channel: !4d12 You will then see something like this: [4d12 (8 9 5 5)] This means you have stolen 8 Water, 9 Food, 5 Materials, and 5 Medicine. These stats will be added to your faction resources. |
