Hello TPR!
So, you should have seen the vague pop-up announcement, but I'll give you some more information about what's going on this month. Every Week is coordinated with a color. This week is Green Week. Next week is Red Week, third week is White Week, and the final week is Gold Week. Yep, holiday colors!
Advent Calendar:
Every day you log on, click on the Advent Calendar banner and click on the date to reveal the day's reward. To actually receive the award, however, you need to post in the "Advent Calendar" board in the designated thread. This is the only way we can track who is eligible for earning the day's prize.
When posting in the daily claims, use the SAME ACCOUNT for every claim, do not switch. The tickets that you earn will be given to that account, meaning that is the name that we will put into the raffles. So choose whichever account name you want in the raffles.
Raffles:
At the beginning of each colored week, we will hold a raffle contest. You will have from that week's Monday to Friday to put your name in the raffle and the names will be pulled/announced on the Fridays. You will notice that you get some free tickets as prizes, but you can also buy extra tickets to get your name in more times! The number of tickets you have is the number of times we will put your name in the raffle. It might be risky putting in too much B to buy extra tickets, but if you win the raffle, you might win it back, and get extra B as well! To buy extra tickets, click on "Tickets" in the navigation bar, and you will be sent to the purchase form.
The prizes for the individual weeks' raffles will be posted on the Monday of that week.
Contests:
Yeah that's right, MORE prizes! This month we will be holding two themed contests: a holiday/winter writing contest, and a banner art contest where the winner will have their banner displayed up top. More information will be posted on the contest boards. You can participate in both contests, but you can only enter each contest with one piece of work.
Other Stuff:
Because members are going to be consistently checking in throughout the month via the advent calendar claim check-in, we will not be holding an MMAC this month. However, we will be holding Standouts, similar to our old OTMs! This month is going to be completely full of gift-giving fun! 'Tis the season!
