Vulnerable. She had never felt more exposed in her life. Both of them were like trees being chopped down, each word chipping away at one of their rings until they were left with just their core. Even now as she was pressed up against him, the back of her mind reminded her that this could all be a game. Solex wasn't that much of a twisted bastard, but what if his sense of humour entailed completely emotionally blindsiding her? What if the apology he had given her was just a lie to keep her roped into his game? Any wrong move and she would just shut down entirely. If this was a game, Solex was winning completely. He would be able to hold her feelings for him over her head and ridicule her with them forever. Never had she been so terrified but relieved at the same time than right now. With a shuddering breath, she sagged from exhaustion into Solex's fur, the shifting of his frame to slightly corral her into him allowed all the tension to melt from her body. The last cusps of crying breaths still shook through her frame, but her eye no longer released new tears. His warmth made the rest of the frigid world around them disappear. Finally reassured that he wasn't just toying with her, no dread struck through her when he pulled out of their embrace. She met his stare with her own, a single mint eye trailing over the finally emotive face that had just flipped her world upside down. She was so lost in his gaze that she almost missed his words, but once they registered in her ears warmth spread through her entire body. He loved her. It was the first time that someone had ever said something even remotely on that topic to her, and such strong words right off the bat stirred her heart blissfully. Reaching up to give his jaw a chaste lick, Aspen responded softly, "You're pretty okay too." Chuckling softly, the characteristically ornery cow was pacified by the Salutary's head resting atop her own. He wasn't just the Salutary anymore though, now he had a new title as her mate. It wasn't something that Aspen ever saw happening in the past, but now that it had she couldn't be happier. -Timeskip- Salutary Solex

OMEGA LLUISE
OF
FERUS
Lluise was out of breath by the time she made it to the creek, having followed their scent she knew what was going on by the time she arrived. The smell practically drenched the area and she could vomit. Saliva dripped from her lips as she came to stop as she was coming upon them, her chest shaking a little to regain her composure. She was getting out of shape and gave a gruff rumble at that annoyance.
"SOLEX" she practically screamed, not caring if he was close by or not. "ARE YOU DEAF MOTHERFUCKER WE HAVE BEEN CALLING YOU! YOUR FUCKING NIECE IS ALMOST DEAD! GET BACK TO THE COMMONS!" Her voice was unlady like and shrill, and the entire scenario had her fluffed up and mess. She didn't care if she pissed the Solutary off but if he was out her canoodalling, he could have kept an ear out. They had only been attacked a few months ago and lost 3, or was it 4?, members of their pack. Wasn't a time to let down their guard and go deaf and blind.
As he eventually took off she glanced at Aspen. Gross. Turning away she shuffled away before stopping to look back at her. "I'm going back to the commons, wanna join?" She wasn't particularly friendly with the she-wolf, or any wolf, and so far that method hasn't helped her climb out of omega. Probably need to start making some sort of relationships here, right?

| Solex found himself curled around Aspen, his large figure almost being able to circle completely around her. He felt at home, and at peace. With all the noise they had been making, he had lost himself in Aspen and had ignored the outside world, which had him ignoring the howl that had come from the direction of the borders and commons. For the first time in Solex’s life it was peaceful, and he felt at peace. Not buried in a pit of self-pity or anger. Instead, he was content and happy with their current position near the creek. They were slightly hidden away, the only thing that would give him away was the fact that he was a massive black mass of fur lying in white snow. The only thing that disturbed them currently was the gentle winter breeze that brushed against his pelt. He was trying his best to shield Aspen from its cold fingertips, hoping that it wasn’t too off-putting for her. He didn’t think that he would honestly care for anyone as much as he did for her. It was a miracle to most, knowing that he could care for someone. But it was terrifying for him. He wanted to protect Aspen at all costs, he couldn’t lose her. Especially not after everything he had just put himself through. Sighing, he nuzzled his head further into the white she-wolf’s neck, hoping to escape from the world just a bit longer, but he realized that wouldn’t happen.
The sound of a she-wolf shrieking for him caused his lips to curl into a snarl as gray eyes looked towards the female that dare interrupt them. Lluise. The stupid bitch that was clearly always going to remain an Omega with the way she talked to other wolves. Rising from around Aspen, the hulking male’s anger radiated from his pelt. “Was it you that called? Because that would explain why I ignored it,” He growled, looking towards her with dangerously murderous eyes. “Next time you need me, send someone a little more important,” His words were seething and aiming to dig underneath the she-wolf’s skin. He had never cared whether or not a wolf liked him. They had to with him being the Salutary of the pack. And given that he was one of the oldest, and a superior of the pack, respect had been earned by the male quite some time ago. Shifting to look at Aspen, a flash of regret gleamed across gray optics, but it was gone in a second as he knew that his sister’s child needed him. The little welp was family, even if he hated to admit it.
Turning his tail, he shot one more glare towards the she-wolf that dare even screech his name, and started heading towards the commons. What had happened in the time that he was gone that caused such travesty to occur? He definitely knew it had something to do with the pups, but most of them were good listeners. How the hell did Jay let them out of his sight so quickly?

Whole. It felt like a piece of herself had come back to her that she hadn't even known she lost. In any other circumstances, she would hate to be in such close contact with someone, but she would let this slide. Almost surrounded wholly by the huge mass of fur that was now her mate, she was warm. As they were spending their time together, a howl rang from the commons. However, it was familiar in all the wrong ways. Though screechy and panicked, it was still recognizable as Lluise. That bratty omega had only interacted with her once, when she had first joined Ferus, but Aspen didn't particularly like talking with the ever so pristine Omega. Ignoring it entirely, the cyclops snuggled further into Solex's fur. His scent surrounded her. Warm breath tickled on her neck as he tucked himself closer to her. They were like a very out of proportion yin and yang. Maybe with a little more yang in yin. She just wanted to stay wrapped up in her mate's embrace for the rest of the day, but it seemed that his cruel luck had transferred to both of them. "SOLEX ARE YOU DEAF MOTHERFUCKER WE HAVE BEEN CALLING YOU! YOUR FUCKING NIECE IS ALMOST DEAD! GET BACK TO THE COMMONS!" Lluise's shrill tones carried across the creek. Her head popped up from underneath Solex's chin, a thoroughly annoyed glare already on her face towards the banshee. As they untangled their limbs from one anothers', Aspen's stocky frame slowly got to its paws. The world around her was instantly freezing, and her mood had soured incredibly fast. Sure, Solex was an important figure, and while the news that the walking bulletin was bellowing sounded urgent, it wasn't urgent enough to quantify that level of disrespect from someone who had remained an Omega for months. No longer was she some soft, lovestruck she-wolf. Now her bitchiness had come right back to her in full force and she wasn't about to hold it back now. As her mate seethed at the paler she-wolf, the hunter stood by his shoulder, her single mint eye burning with a distaste for Lluise's presence in their precious moment. “Was it you that called? Because that would explain why I ignored it. Next time you need me, send someone a little more important,” his cutting words coaxed a malicious giggle out of Aspen, her head butting into his neck in approval of his anger. Perhaps it was also to try and pacify him, but he had time to cool off on the way back to the common to save his niece. There were so many options for who the unlucky brat could be, but she knew that Solex would only truly mind one. She had a bet that it was the whiny one that wasn't actually in all that much danger, maybe a cut paw on a hidden rock. She returned Solex's tiny glance with a small blink. She knew he had a job to do, it was just a pity that he was needed now of all times. "I'm going back to the commons, wanna join?" the question from the Omega drew a disappointed look from the hunter. Her lips pursed into a thin line as her face clearly displayed her annoyance. The Omega was nearly half a foot shorter than her, so it was easy to hiss into her ear as she approached, "As if I'd want to accompany you on a nice morning stroll after you talked like that to my mate. Feel free to accompany yourself." As much as she wanted to smack the Omega upside the mouth, she wanted to see what was going on in the commons much more. Flicking her tail close to Lluise's face, Aspen left the pasty cow behind as she trekked back to the common grounds. From what she heard, Solex was about to be stressed as hell, and though she knew the male would find his own way to deal with it, she still felt obligated to be there. OMEGA LLUISE
OF
FERUS
Of course Lluise wasn't expecting Aspen to be her first friend but was a little caught off guard by her immediate claim of Solex as mate. A small raised eyebrow before she went back to grooming herself as the nasty bitch departed the area. Llu had her lips curled as the gross thing of flesh and fur left her sight. How absolutely disgusting! How dare they be able to even breath with such flippant attitude. She hoped that black pup died so Solex would be punished for his transgressions, but she doubt it. Solex would arrive just on time, save the pup, Aspen will probably be praised somehow, and the little girls would go without punishment. That's how Lluise viewed this pack now. Weak and biased. Spitting out bloody fur from her mouth she let out a fierce growl.
Standing up she moved on, her voice rambling as she left Ferus land. She was done with this pack. She no longer cared for them. Did she even from the beginning? Not really. She wanted power and this pack proved complacent at best. Her white body left the hunting grounds, then the borders, not even pausing as she entered into rogue lands and left for good.
