A small creek running through larger boulders in the Ferus Packlands. This creek has cool, fresh-flowing waters, but it is a bit of a trot from the Ferus Common Grounds, resting closer to the General Hunting Territory, but almost just as far from the rocky green hunting area as it is from the barren terrain of the dens. A few mice colonies live near here, though they are rarely seen in the day time, and if you look hard enough through the brush, you may find a dove's nest. There are many lizards who like to feast on the bugs around and there are quite a few minnows skipping through the shallow creek, growing to about 2 1/2 inches. Coyotes and foxes are also rather present here, looking for mice and lizards to snack on. RULES TO HUNTING: Guide: Seldom seen Hard to catch Small Game: -Rats, Mice, Squirrels- Snakes, Lizards - Small birds-Small fish, tadpoles, small frogs Large Game: - Bullfrogs- Larger fish Competition: -Gray Foxes - Coyotes- Cougars- BadgersIf these animals are seen, it is more likely because they are drinking rather than hunting.

General Azriel The brute made hast in arriving at the Creek, his long and muscular legs propelling him across the land with ease. Azriel didn't exactly care if Dawn found it hard to keep up with him or not. He had specifically chosen the Creek as their area for training because of the trek that was required. It would have been a good warm up for the smaller she-wolf.
Before Azriel turned to face the oaken hues of Dawn, he found himself staring at the arid void of the creek itself, it's length being home to a culmination of dust and dirt instead of the glistening and quenching water that should have been flowing through the land. It truely was a pitiful sight, but the General didn't find himself lingering on these thoughts for too long as his molten optics soon lay themselves on the female he had been instructed to train.
The pair had very different builds and skillsets. Azriel had been trained in the art of brute strength and cunning, while he would now have to teach Dawn the art of agility and stamina. "Your biggest advantage against an opponent is speed and accuracy." The General began, his harsh gaze looking over his student several times, deciding what specific skill he would make her hone first. "So for today, I want to go over the basics of observation and defensive manoeuvres followed by an accurate counter-attack." He finished with a nod to himself, going over a small plan that he began forming in his head which consisted of bodily positioning and openings that Dawn would be able to act on.
"No matter what size or skill-set your opponent may have, the one thing that you must always do is watch their movements. It's imperative to make sure you know exactly what they're doing so that you can avoid or counter." Azriel almost got carried away as he explained the importance of observation. He made himself take a deep breath. They wouldn't be getting anywhere if he simply told her how to do things, they would have to put things into practice. The General made of show of shifting his legs underneath him, muscles along his back tensing as he poised his body. These were all signs of a wolf ready to pounce, and if Dawn wasn't smart enough to be taking note of the way that he positioned himself, then she was about to get an ass whopping.
The brute sprung forward, fangs clicking as he aimed to grasp her muzzle between his jaws. Dawn should have had enough time to jump out of the way of his incoming attack, and if she had, he would send her a smirk of approval. If Dawn had've been able to avoid that simple attack, then she'd be easy to teach. "Good," he would have purred, tail flicking behind him as he angled his body, almost ready to jump at her again. "I want you to watch my movements. A wolf always has an weak-spot, so I want you to dodge and attack mine." Azriel continued gruffly before wasting no time in pouncing forward and aiming for her muzzle yet again, making sure that he kept his hind-legs in a loose and weaker position compared the the other half of his body which was as tense as a bow-string. Dawn should've been able to spot this flaw in his defence from a mile away, and Azriel expected the intelligent she-wolf to use this to her advantage. OOC: @dawn |

Dawn followed behind Azriel, looking towards him with a not so eager look. She wasn't going to really be happy that the Alpha was wanting her to train on her fighting skills, even though she knew that he was really just trying to improve the pack. Giving a small look towards the creek that had once been full, saddened eyes only kept them there a moment before looking towards the General as he spoke. He knew what he was doing, so why wouldn't Dawn listen? Of course, she personally knew some of the stuff that he was talking about, but for the Generals sake, she was going to pretend that she didn't know anything about what he was saying. He started talking about seeing weaknesses and such, but then stopped. It seemed that he had either concluded what he wanted to say, or he simply had gotten carried away and stopped talking. Either was something Dawn felt a little less comfortable with. She knew that she would need to put words into actions and show the General that she was able to fend for herself within battle, but she wasn't sure about how she was going to go about it with him. Sure, he would teach her, but he would obviously go easy on her. And easy was not something that Dawn was looking for. She hadn't been watching the male closely, but she had noticed his shifting, which made it very apparent that he was getting ready to attack her. A simply dodge technique of getting to know what Dawn knew. As he launched himself towards her, she moved out of the way, looking towards him with eyes that could show her unhappiness.
She didn't want something easy, she wanted a challenge. He was the General of the Pack for Ferus' Sake! Why couldn't he take it a little above a simple 'read if I'm attacking' method? She knew the basics, she knew fighting, she knew how to keep herself alive. She wanted to better herself, and doing that meant that she would need to skip the easy stuff, and get straight to the hard stuff. Half-heartedly listening to what Azriel had to say, she looked him up and down, trying to see if he had any weaknesses other than what he was trying to obviously portray. She knew that the male was not strong in the speed area, while she was. The only thing that Dawn really lacked was strength. Strength in a battle is definitely important, but speed was as well. If she could simply out-maneuver him, and display that she could do such a thing, maybe Azriel wouldn't take it so easy on her. She wanted to trigger that from the male, so while he was talking about attacking his weak points, she simply dashed forward, making her way quickly to his other side before throwing herself into his hind legs, hopefully pushing them out from underneath him.
If she were to be able to do that, although Azriel would probably let her, she would know that his front legs would not be able to support him if she were to go for those as well. Bringing her rear end to whip around from where she had crashed into him headfirst, she would try and use her hind legs to push his front out from under him. This might fail, but she knew that at least trying would show that she was trying to be creative, but also logical.

General Azriel It had been obvious that Dawn wasn't impressed with the basics that he had began to cover. Azriel knew that she was an ambitious and smart she-wolf who would be looking for only the best. But the basics were important, and this fact had been drilled very harshly into his head from day one of his own training. Azriel only needed a sense of where Dawn stood in her fighting knowledge, and from there, he would be able to teach her his favoured tactical savagery.
Dawn's attack to his hind legs had been expected. The General had no intent of bracing for the sharp impact as his limbs were knocked out from underneath him, sending his larger frame buckling forwards only to find the she-wolf delivering another sweep to his front-legs, which was a move that he had not foreseen. Clever girl, he thought as he nose-dived into the ground, his legs tucking into his body almost instinctively, exactly the way that he had been taught to recover from a fall. From there, he sprung back to his paws, not bothering to shake the gathered dust that had accumulated in his handsome fur. Azriel simply gave Dawn a scar-twisting smirk, his salmon tongue dashing absentmindedly over the whorl of patchy skin that marred his lip.
"It was a smart move, I'll give you that. But don't get ahead of yourself, darling." The General mused as he restrained himself for lunging towards her and initiating a real spar, but this would be a reward to the side of her that lusted for every bit of fight the General could give her. No, he would take this training session painfully slow, especially if it meant he could see that amusing dash of annoyance cross her pretty face again.
"I want you to attack me this time, really try and attack me. From there, I'll assess any flaws and we'll proceed to hone them, so don't hold back." He spoke quite gruffly, shifting his stance to a more neutral and casual hold, but he wouldn't stop himself from readying to brace and plan his defence as well as an offence against whatever Dawn would throw at him. Hopefully there weren't too many major flaws that he would have to address with her technique. Azriel simply wanted to take notes of her capabilities so that he could really work with her in their next session. All of this was just an elaborate trial, really; which would have to be wrapped up soon as he knew that Jay would be returning to the Commons at any moment, and would most likely prefer them to be present when he did. OOC: @dawn the muse will take a while to come back so just bare with me ;~; |

The alabaster bitch padded into the general area of the creek, already bored. All of the scenery was the same. All dust. All yellowish orange rocks. All dried up plants. Mere sticks that stuck out of the ground pitifully. The only place that held any sustenance for any sort of plant life was the creek. Even now, the trees and shrubs that clung to the banks were scattered across the rocks. Clinging to life at the banks of the one river in all of Ferus like a parasite. Pathetic. The creek wasn't all that majestic either. The current wasn't all that strong, it wasn't all that deep, it was like a sewage drain from every other pack. A sad trickle that somehow managed to feed the pack, it's new livestock, and the pants around it without being used up fully. This was it. The most notable landmark in all of Ferus. Aspen flicked her single grey eye towards Lluise. She hoped that the alabaster she-wolf wasn't dreaming up some lovely, amazing river full of life and animals and magic. She would just be disappointed. Aspen would be disappointed in her for thinking up such a thing after seeing what Ferus already had to offer, and Lluise would be disappointed with her delusion of grandeur not being true. "This is it. The 'Jewel of Ferus,' Aspen sarcastically spoke, flicking her head towards the creek, "Not much to see." Her rump plopped itself down on the nearest large rock, facing the pathetic stream that was the source of most of Ferus' water. She was grateful that it was there, but for the life of her she wished that the stream could try harder. Be a little bigger. Not just some pathetic little trickle compared to the rivers she had seen at Lubrusca. Yeesh. Breeder LluiseOOC: Sorry for taking so long!

Omega Lluise "Every Day That You Breathe You Make My Life Harder."
Lluise hardly paid attention to her surroundings as Aspen continued guiding her through the dust bowl of a territory. As her eyes glided from the Hunter to observe a slight movement, the pearly bitch found herself watching the fleeting form of a small brown mouse as it dove for the safety of the rocks feet away. The lump of fur and flesh scurried faster as she gained on Aspen, pausing only to fearfully meet her icy gaze before it scuttled down a crevice between two well-positioned stones. Llu crinkled her nose in disgust, liver nose heaving a polite snort before she pulled her eyes back to the rocky path ahead. Yellow stones rolled under her paws, forcing the bitch to pay attention to her footsteps. With a simple perk of her relaxed ears, Llu easily detected the trickling sounds of water growing louder as they neared the creek Aspen had spoke of. The noise was about as bland as the territory it was based in.
"This is it." Lluise moved forward a step to fully take in the 'wondrous' view of the tiny creek, spilling past the cracked boulders and stamped stones in all of it's shallow glory. "The 'Jewel of Ferus,'" Llu hardly bothered with the sarcasm in the cycloptic female's voice as she growled out her words. It wasn't exactly wrong. Among the piles and piles of dust and gravel that made up the territory, any source of water was something of a jewel. Not like anyone would be impressed by such a miniature water feature though. "Not much to see." Lluise followed the Hunter as she seated herself, following with careful steps into a perfected posture. The perched bitch gazed at the flowing water for a mere moment before she had seen it enough and instead glanced around at the few trees and grungy shrubs that had managed to sprout in the wasteland. "Indeed."

The ivory she-wolf placed herself beside the cantankerous bitch with a grace that Aspen would never bother with displaying. Placing her ass on some rocks wasn't an action that needed an ounce of girlish perfection. "Indeed," was the only word that left Lluise's mouth. Aspen simply gave a small nod in response. The silence that lapsed between them was a comfortable domain for Aspen. Her trials of silence spanned for a large part of her life. Silence was an awkward time for most, but not for Aspen. She thrived in the absence of sound, but it was usually while she was on her own. Lluise's presence beside her was like a tick in her fur, a bit annoying that she couldn't be alone, but not an inconvenience to an extreme extent. "Well, now what?" Aspen's grumble rose above the sound of the pitiful stream. Just sitting around would be fine, but it was seriously boring. Breeder Lluise

Omega Lluise "Every Day That You Breathe You Make My Life Harder."
The creek babbled peacefully along, dribbling over the dehydrated stones coated in layers upon layers of ancient dust that turned a portion of the water a disheartening brown hue. Slowly blinking her icy pearls, the porcelain bitch swiveled her haloed crown to gaze down the tenderly sloped stones through which the water had carved a thin path. It flowed downward, dripping from one place to the next lazily, not in a hurry to get to the bottom. If Llu had poetic, thoughtful or knowledgable in advice, she would've have been able to make a beautiful analogy about the similarities of life and the babbling brook. But Lluise wasn't any of those things. Quite the opposite really. As she looked upon the creek, she couldn't help but see how pitiful the little water source was. It hardly tried at all, never carved a new path, never got anything or anywhere fast. How boring life would be if she was stuck as a droplet of water, forced to take it slow and enjoy the journey instead of hopping into the fast lane and getting where you want.
"Well, now what?" For once, Llu was thankful for words, as Aspen's halfhearted grumble quieted the squabble of the stream for a few, heavenly seconds. Swiveling her fox-like skull toward the cream bitch, the apathetic female took merely a few moments to think of things, despising the stream more and more by the second, and all it represented. "Perhaps we should find a bite to eat? Or we could continue to traverse around this terribly dull territory." Climbing readily to her dainty paws, the pearly bitch continued, "Or, if it fits your fancy, we could return to the Commons and part ways. I am perfectly fine with any decision." As Lluise finished on a lie, she turned and stepped off the stone, pausing on the dirt and pebbles to gaze back up toward the one eyed Hunter expectantly.

The sound of the pathetic stream grated along her eardrums. Could that bloody piss trickle of a sound get any more annoying? The same water flowed over the same rocks which flowed over the same ground which flowed to no other place in the entire territory. Why bother even having a river!? "Perhaps we should find a bite to eat? Or we could continue to traverse around this terribly dull territory," the almost as equally unbearably choir voice of Lluise brought her inexplicable relief. Her low patience for most everything made her company with the she-wolf slowly get worse and worse, even as the two had sat in silence for a few minutes. While both of them sounded fine, Aspen was frankly fed up with the seemingly perfect bitch. Perhaps she was jealous. It could just be disgust. Maybe some unknown demon welling up from inside her. Either way, Lluise was getting on her nerves because of no fault of her own... or maybe it was. "Or, if it fits your fancy, we could return to the Commons and part ways. I am perfectly fine with any decision," the best thing that Lluise had ever said came out of her mouth. An appreciative huff left her mouth as the monocled bitch rose to her paws. Her one stormy eye flicked to the nearly albino female beside her for just a second before turning away. Padding away a few steps, her gravely voice called out, "Commons." She was just tired, and what better place to tell everyone else to go eat a bag of di...rt than at the mouth of her den. Breeder Lluise-Exit to Common Grounds-

Omega Lluise "Every Day That You Breathe You Make My Life Harder."
Lluise hardly had to pause before the cream furred bitch leapt from the boulder they had rested upon, rasping out a single, bitter word with more joy than Llu had ever heard exit her cursed lips. "Commons." She curtly swept past the porcelain female as she regally trotted onward, scuffed and worn paws navigating toward the dust bowl's center, the Common Grounds. "Goody," Llu murmured sarcastically as she continued after the cyclops, eyeing her as she delightedly bounded from the creek's vicinity and away from her sight. However, the newly labeled Omega took her time in exiting the now empty lands, lightly padding over the unsteady stones and pebbles with the utmost care. She didn't need too, in fact she could have been out of there within seconds as Aspen had. But the silence was so serene, so enjoyable. Until she was free of it, Lluise hadn't noticed how horrid the presence was of these hateful terrors.
Still, with a heavy sigh, the striking lass picked up her dainty paws into a faster gait and skirted around the borders of a few large stones before playful skipping her way back toward the action.

| The thought that maybe he had made the wrong decision on turning away from her flickered through his mind. The look that had mirrored his pained one was evident in her singular mint optic, but he simply couldn’t bare to keep looking at her, knowing that he had potentially hurt her more than he had thought he was hurting himself. It was behind him now, or so he thought. He would distance himself once more from the female, and they would go about business as usual in the pack. She would more than likely resent him, and would avoid him for the rest of her days in the pack. If that meant that he wouldn’t open himself up to one more wolf and be hurt, then so be it. The male trudged forward, the frostbitten ground cold to the touch. His burly coat was not enough to keep him from the cold, the frosty chill slithering right into his bones. He felt empty, feeling nothing but hatred for himself, as well as for letting the she-wolf in.
Bringing himself to the edge of the creek, His muzzle shifted towards the icy water that was below him. His tongue darted out from behind his lips, lapping at the cold water as he lost himself in thought. Why had she been the one to break through the walls that he had so carefully built? She wasn’t exactly a special wolf by any regards. She was missing an eye, she had done a horrendous job at defending her pack in the Lubruscan war, and she hadn’t really proven herself as anything more than just a hunter. Why had he picked her, out of all wolves, to fall for? Or was he simply mistaking the feeling of love for the bitter alikeness the two had? He couldn’t place his paw on why he had even given the she-wolf a thought, but something told him that she was somehow special.
Shifting his large black body, he looked into the stream running in front of him. This place haunted him. It was the place that he had first met and introduced himself to Slate. When times were much simpler, and he felt more like a wolf than he did now. The she-wolf had been minorly injured fighting Thatcher. He had taken her to the commons where he had treated her and gotten to know her. That had been his first mistake. Getting to know the she-wolf, she appeared much like him. Interested in scanning the wolves around her, taking in what she could see from them before making any attempt towards conversation. She was just like him, offering nothing but an analytical gaze and a non-biased opinion. That was something he admired about the she-wolf. But she was gone. Lost forever to the jaws of a Lubruscan wolf. Shaking his head, his gray gaze stared down at the wolf that was reflected in the water. He hated himself for even thinking he could get close to someone, especially after everything that had happened in the past.
Lashing his tail behind him, his paw darted out, splashing the water in front of him in an attempt to make the image of himself go away. His wretched, worthless self. There was nothing that he had to offer to this world besides another wolf to cause pain to. Sighing, he shifted his gaze away from his own image and moved to simply close his eyes, ears pressed against his head as he silently deteriorated.

Blinding emotions pushed a young scarred pelt forwards. She was hurt, a pain stabbing her harsher than that or when her eye was so pitifully wrenched from her socket. Once again she was forced to Solex to heal her, but this wouldn't be as easy as poppy seeds and cobwebs. There weren't herbs that could fix this pain, she needed the male to remedy this. A simmering rage paired with a curious desire to let tears flow was never a good concoction. Many times she had to stop in her pursuit, drawing in gasping breaths to try and relieve some of the tightness in her chest. She had killed her brother, abandoned her family, and neither had hurt her like this. This must be the consequence of letting her walls down. That piece of shit had slithered past barriers she once thought to be impenetrable, deciding to slice her up rather than make a home. And there he was, a giant frame hunched over an icy trickle of water. As her face fell into a snarl, she was nearly blinded. A thick layer of unshed tears clung to her eyelids, making everything around her simply foggy shapes through the liquid. Black stood out against the sea of white though, making her job that much easier. Through an overwhelmed mind, the alabaster bitch went into hunting mode, walking as silently as she could over the snow downwind of her prey. Her shaking breath was trapped between fiercely clenched lips her muscle memory taking over for a few moments as she drew up behind his frame. "What the fuck, Solex?" Aspen's voice cracked finally as she bellowed, the last bit of resolve fading away from her system. Planted firmly on all fours, her ink dipped tail lashed back and forth behind her as salty droplets finally spilled out of both eye sockets. As much as she tried to remain strong in her stance, she was shaky, so many chemicals pulsing in her veins that her body didn't know what to do with them. A single mint optic spilled over with tears as it burned into the Salutary's frame. Her chest heaved as she let her vulnerability be exposed to the male unintentionally. For too long he remained with her back turned to her. Another twang of pain in her chest. Her voice dropped from its shout down to just above a murmur, the pain once hiding behind her eyes now fully infused into her words, "You can't even look at me." Her high wired brain was slowly calming down, emotions that she hadn't felt before leeching into her, creating a horribly confused she-wolf. The only thing she was clinging to was her rage towards the Salutary. She knew that was one familiar thing in this mess they found themselves in. Salutary Solex

| Solex was enveloped in his thoughts, not listening to his surroundings which was never a good sign. The she-wolf that was on his mind had followed him but he hadn’t noticed at all. His gaze was blankly focused on the creek’s water that was slowly creeping by, refusing to meet his own gaze as his thoughts flipped back and forth on whether he made the right decision on leaving her in the commons the way he did. There was nothing that he could do now, he couldn’t take it back. He could offer an apology, but that was out of character for the male, and so instead of growing a pair and telling her how he was feeling, he would internalize his feelings and once again push her away. At the thought of that however, he felt tears welling, daring to slide down his cheek. But just like that, he was jolted awake with the sound of her voice. It cracked like lightning in the back of his skull as she called him by name. He couldn’t explain his actions, but he couldn’t look at her, no. She couldn’t see him like this. She didn’t need to see him acting weak.
As she stated that he couldn’t look at her, he felt anger welling up inside of him. He should be able to, he had no issues before. But there was something that made him nervous, something that made him hide his feelings, something that told him that she couldn’t see him like this. But for the first time, anger and hatred for himself vanished and he turned, his gaze locking with hers. Anger poured from her being, and he couldn’t help but move his tail closer, ears pressed against his head seeing the she-wolf the way she was in that very moment. He had done this to her, and he couldn’t make up anymore excuses. Her one eye was dripping with tears, and he couldn’t bear it. This she-wolf had done nothing wrong, it was him that was the problem here. His resolve faded and he brought himself to his forepaws. “I can’t look at you…” His tone was solemn and laced with sadness as he moved towards the she-wolf. He knew that this was a dangerous move in general because of her position and stance, but he was willing to give it a try. “Because I can’t stand how much I just hurt you,” He whispered, now being in close proximity of her. If she shied away then he would understand. “I realized that I just did… something horrible,” He could feel the words just pouring from him involuntarily. “But I’m… I’m… Sorry,” He whispered, the words pulled from his mouth. This was the first time he had apologized to anyone else besides his sister, and it was a hard pill to swallow.
Shifting himself so that he wasn’t too close to her, he would wait, standing on all fours in front of her, silver eyes staring at her paws, a sign that he wasn’t able to look at her crying, as he felt horrible for having caused the she-wolf to.

Air. All she wanted was crisp oxygen to reach her lungs without her body stuttering with each inhale, but she couldn't control the tremors that left her breathless. Rage and pain heated her body, but the drops of liquid spilling from her eye burned her more. They felt like acid, every drop exposing her weakness that she had kept hidden for so long. How did this even happen? Just mere minutes ago it had been playful teasing. How could something that she found so much joy in suddenly turn into a tearful confrontation? As her whisper hit the male's ears, he remained with his back being burned by her glare. In those few seconds, it was if everything around them had sucked in a breath of anticipation, not quite knowing how a closed off Salutary and an ornery cripple were going to handle this situation. Steel and mint clashed together, their contact hindered by the thick film of tears that clung to the three eyes staring at one another. Her tail unintentionally flicked behind her at the eye contact, her body's rage on autopilot as she tried for a second to think rationally. Emotional Solex was a completely different wolf. His nonchalant stance towards everyone and everything crumbled readily. For the first time, the cyclops saw any sense of feelings within the male, his ears and tail broadly displaying something. She was so frazzled that she couldn't even put any energy into deciphering the male's sudden display. It was taking enough self-restraint not to simply snap out at him as he approached. It was entirely different to any time that the pair had approached one another. Now it felt like the Salutary was approaching a rabid dog, his movements tentative and wary. Refusing to break eye contact with the inky beast, she let the male watch as fresh tears fell when his words stung her, "I can't look at you..." She already knew that. No matter what grief lay sewn into those words, Aspen knew Solex. He didn't lie often, preferring to be blunt in his deliveries. Why had she even bothered following just her to hear her own words parroted back to her with some facade of pain? The Huntress was about to spin on her heels and march into some other secluded sector or Ferus territory when Solex's whisper froze her, "Because I can't stand how much I just hurt you." A single optic struggled to find where to focus. Did she want to establish eye contact again? Could she do it even if she wanted to? For a few moments, the cream wolf watched her tears fall freely from her eyes down to the ground, the salt spilling over mint giving her one point of normality. Gravity still worked. Trying to keep just a shred of the strength she usually possessed, the ornery cow jabbed her gaze back into Solex's, her shivering sobs being concealed horribly in an attempt to hide her emotions away from him. If this was just an act, a continuation of the game they played in the Commons, the nightshade laced male would never run out of material to torture her with. To her, it was all too real. If this bastard was playing some twisted game she wouldn't hesitate to rip his throat out. The two creatures stood closely, but the pale she-wolf had no intention of lashing out at her tormenter. She was so confused, so thrown off by everything that her typical fight or fight instincts had been put on pause. "I realized that I just did... something horrible. But I'm... I'm... Sorry," his breathed words held no malice, only grief and apologetic sadness. Never did the Salutary say sorry. Her single eye dropped from Solex's steely pair once again, a shaky breath leaving her maw as she tried to process just what to say back to the male. Sure she was relieved, overjoyed even, but would Solex be privileged enough to see just those emotions expressed at this moment? No. She was hurt, and that all important apology wasn't about to instantly get the male back in her 'okay' books. A bitter chuckle slithered through her lips, the sound odd within the mess of emotions. "Solex," the hunter spoke using the tail-end of her odd laughter. Bringing a pain-filled face up to face the male that had moved away from her personal space, Aspen slowly began smile, the expression never truly reaching her eye. "You're so stupid," a breathy, sorrow-filled gasp was directed at the male. Not even a second later, Aspen was on her paws, closing the distance between herself and the much larger chest of the Salutary, her tears never stopping as relief bled into her words, "You're so bloody stupid." The smaller female shoved herself into the male's thick fur, letting all the scents that clung to him envelop her. "But you're the stupid I've chosen to put up with and that's not changing any time soon," her voice shook less with rage and grief now, her frame almost melting pressed against his in relief. It still held a rasp that was telltale to her past tears, but her throat no longer was being constricted by the jaws of angst. She just wanted to remain pressed up against his chest, easily short enough to fit under his head as she sat before him, her body so tired that it didn't want to remain standing anymore. Just to have that uncharacteristic bliss. Just for a moment. Salutary Solex

| A chuckle, as bitter as could be, slipped from the female’s lips, and he prepared himself for the worst. He had just let every wall he formed down and was willing to let her take a shot as his heart. He knew undoubtedly she would deny him, especially considering the things he had just done to her, and how he had played with her emotions. “Solex,” His named slipped from her lips at the tail end of her laughter, causing him to bring himself to grit his teeth and bear the truth that she was about to present to him. "You're so stupid," The female said, his eyes shooting up to see that she was indeed smiling as she said that. This was not the response that he had expected from the she-wolf. He thought she would be livid, extremely angry with how he had acted and never wanting contact with him again. “You’re so bloody stupid,” She repeated once more, adding more emphasis on the sentence before shoving herself into the thick fur of his chest, her scent enveloping him as he was shocked to the very core by her actions. "But you're the stupid I've chosen to put up with and that's not changing any time soon," The words spilling from her mouth made him almost shiver in happiness. He felt extremely warm, despite the cold weather surrounding them.
Although he had made a complete ass out of himself in the commons by running here, it seemed that everything had worked itself out in the end. Bringing himself to lean into her a little, he wrapped himself around her. It was easily done as she was much smaller than him. Steel colored eyes brought themselves to her face as he pulled away, looking at her. There were no words he had to say right now, the only ones lingering at the tip of his tongue as he dare say it. “I love you, Aspen,” The male’s voice was deep and full of some emotion for once, holding that of affection. He let his head rest on top of hers, his mind wandering a bit at the thoughts of becoming mates with this she-wolf. The thought of pups came along as well, causing his mind to wander elsewhere.
