Jay brought himself to stand tall over the hunting territory, muzzle pointed forward while his ear was erect upon his head, shifting ever so slightly to listen to the noises around him. It seemed peaceful. Like he knew it would be. There really hadn't been that much going on while they were away from their hunting grounds. But now he could see that a couple deer were around, trying to forage for food. It was almost a barren wasteland, they would find almost nothing here but death. And that would come swiftly if they didn't make use of the small amounts of water around the territory. Bringing his attention to Semira whom he presumed had followed him to the hunting grounds, he gave her a small flick of his ear before looking towards the deer. "At least the hunting team was successful," He said, looking towards her as he spoke. "But its still a shame that Pandora and Xanthe were both lost. They were assets to the pack, and were probably more useful than some of the new wolves that are currently joining our pack," He said with a small scoff, looking towards Semira to see her reaction to his words. "You know, it was never my intention to be in charge of all this," The words came running from his mouth like water ran through a river. But he felt like he could talk to Semira about this. "I didn't want to be in charge of pack members dying and having to deal with the stress of that kind of stuff. Thatcher was so much better at this than me," Jay said, looking towards her with emerald eyes that sparked with emotion once more. It was rare to see him filled with emotion for once, but the mention of his old friend rekindled that softness within his heart. "I always thought I'd be by his side and I would die by his side. Sure, we were best friends simply because I saved his life, but I feel like he was more tolerant, and maybe kinder towards me than anyone else. There was just something that Thatcher had that I don't," The male said, looking towards her. "Sorry," He stated before looking away from her and towards the deer once more, feeling a little embarrassed about having opened up like that to her.

| Walking only a foot away from the Alpha, the ebony bitch flickered dark auricles to the sound of hooves. Pursing her lips, controlled relief flooded tense muscles. Of course, these deer would only last a week, or two without water. If they were to hunt these prey items, it’d need to be soon. Looking over the large creatures, they seemed healthy enough. Fatigued, but nowhere near death. "At least the hunting team was successful," Nodding passively, smoky paws slid forward, briefly investigating the softest stream of water - though it consisted mostly of mud. "But its still a shame that Pandora and Xanthe were both lost. They were assets to the pack, and were probably more useful than some of the new wolves that are currently joining our pack," Amber eyes rolled, a half grin hovering over her usual stone features. The new members were… aggressively mediocre. Hardly any of them showed the potential that the old Delta held.
"You know, it was never my intention to be in charge of all this, didn't want to be in charge of pack members dying and having to deal with the stress of that kind of stuff. Thatcher was so much better at this than me, I always thought I'd be by his side and I would die by his side. Sure, we were best friends simply because I saved his life, but I feel like he was more tolerant, and maybe kinder towards me than anyone else. There was just something that Thatcher had that I don't," Semira blinked, surprised by the sudden onslaught of emotion. Alas, her stunned expression never sank in. Instead, it remained even, per usual. Slowly, the soot colored Sentinel approached Jay, keeping a more submissive, but casual posture. Now, parallel to her Alpha, a single ear fell. “Sorry,” His emerald gaze turned away, bringing a frown to Semira’s face.
“Hey,” Her voice came out firmer than she expected it to, immediately the other ear fell nervously. “Thatcher had to murder to get the respect and submission of this pack.” Emphasising murder, she stepped forward, bringing herself to apprehensively meet the male’s gaze. “You’ve only been Alpha for a few weeks, and I haven’t seen a single wolf doubt your position. You bring a sense of nobility Thatcher seemed to lack. You have everything Thatcher had, and then some. Once you realise this, you’ll be a legendary leader of Ferus.” Offering a slight smile, Semira could only hope that her words provided some sort of comfort, and had not overstepped the boundaries of her rank. “I saw this pack revive and grow, it’s already more successful than ever.”

The ivory head of the Alpha looked towards the female, wondering how she would react. She had moved parallel to him, with one ear down. Her voice was firm when she tried getting his attention, but she already had it. The male didn't care for her tone at all, it was what she was going to say that mattered to him the most right now. Looking towards her other ear as it flattened, he listened to the words she spoke. It shocked him, how highly she thought of him. Thatcher did murder for respect, but Jay always thought that murdering was the best way to gain a wolf's respect. He didn't wish to murder wolves here because he knew that every pack member, even the weakest link, was useful in some way. Whether their use was something that only they could do, or everyone could do, even the smallest use of someone's potential, or there of lacking potential, would make the pack thrive. "I guess you're right," He said, looking towards her. "I don't want you to think that you have to be cautious around me. You are the only wolf I actually trust to tell things like this too," He said, looking towards her with sparkling emerald eyes. For a moment, he just studied her. Wanting to stare at her forever it felt like. There was something about Semira that pulled Jay towards her. There was something that he wanted from her, but he wasn't sure what it was. He already had two failed loves in Ferus. And he didn't want to risk losing Semira too, if that was how he was feeling about her. Moving a little closer, he looked towards her. "You've been here longer than I have, and I'm sure you've seen the pack at its worst and its finest, so I can trust your judgement," He said, looking towards her with earnest eyes. "I never used to be so... aggressive. I was actually a lot less so when I met Thatcher. He always used to make fun of me for it, always saying that my kindheartedness would get me killed one day," He chuckled a little at the thought. Him being kindhearted was something of almost a dream. It had been so long ago that Jay actually cared for the wolves around him. "Ferus is a harsh pack that lives in cruel lands. There is no room to be soft here. That's what gets a wolf killed after all," He muttered slightly to himself, but with how close him and Semira were, he knew that she would be able to hear it. "I've always wondered something about you," The Alpha was now speaking as if there was plenty of time for them to spend just talking. This was the most he had opened up to a wolf in the pack in a long time, and it felt almost as if he was showing his belly to Semira. "How is it that you always seem to remain so calm and collected? I find it rather hard with some of the wolves in the pack," He said, looking towards her. "Even when Thatcher and I were taking over Ferus, you just seemed so... calm compared to your brother and the others," Jay stated, looking towards her. "I just don't understand someone that can remain calm all the time, do you ever feel nervous or scared?" He asked her, looking towards her with green eyes that glowed with curiosity.

| Semira hesitated, onyx auricles fluttering upright as Jay spoke, quaint murmurs of trust. Loosening usually tensed muscles, the Sentinel found it oddly easy to relax around the authority figure, so much so that her form twitched with doubt. Why was this? An alpha so soothing to the senses, with all the nobility Thatcher lacked, yet still accessible. For once, the ever churning mind slowed, suddenly entranced by nearing emerald optics. For a moment, dark hues glanced at the amount of space between them, before gravitating back upwards, clashing with shamrock. It was nearly off putting, the tranquility of the scene. Couldn’t they remain here for centuries? Simply talking, or sitting in silence, comforted by one another’s presence. It seemed almost doubtful, edging Semira to believe it could be a dream, until the familiar rumble returned.
"I never used to be so... aggressive. I was actually a lot less so when I met Thatcher. He always used to make fun of me for it, always saying that my kindheartedness would get me killed one day," Pulling brows in toward the end of the sentence, the ink hued bitch couldn’t help but wonder: What was Jay like prior to saving Thatcher? Kindheartedness never lasted, and should one have it, it was to be tucked away beneath a facade of hostility. Was he talkative? Semira couldn’t begin to picture the idea of a chatty Jay. "Ferus is a harsh pack that lives in cruel lands. There is no room to be soft here. That's what gets a wolf killed after all," Semira, though his words were hollow, nodded grimly. It was true: without strength, where would one go? Get the pity of Lubrusca, perhaps. The possibility of change for Ferus was unlikely, near impossible. But, it was a way of life; one the Sentinel wouldn’t dare change.
"I've always wondered something about you," A singular brow lifted, a teasing ‘Oh really?’ via body language. Twitching her tail half-mindedly, Semira couldn’t help the reluctant bliss that covered her entirety at the notion of herself crossing the Alpha’s mind. Even the perfectionist half of her brain sighed. His casual tone brought about a quirked corner to onyx lips, a comfortable smile that seldom graced her features.
"How is it that you always seem to remain so calm and collected? I find it rather hard with some of the wolves in the pack. Even when Thatcher and I were taking over Ferus, you just seemed so... calm compared to your brother and the others," Narrowing amber optics slightly, her mind wandered along the topic. It was to peaceful for the usual gear-grinding mechanism of her brain. It was comfortable. Normal. "I just don't understand someone that can remain calm all the time, do you ever feel nervous or scared?”
Semira shuffled, taken aback by his words. Had she really given off this vibe? The one she’d been practicing at perfecting: The art of indifference? “Well,” She began, briefly looking away, her gaze rolling over the dried greenery. “Of course I get scared, hell, I’m nervous of something at least half the day.” Her formal voice drooped, slowly fading into a comfortable, casual drawl. “I just don’t say it, or show it.” She blinked, trying to work out the words that bundled within her burning throat. “I know that some of the wolves around here need someone to be calm, or brave. Why shouldn’t I take that responsibility?” Semira chuckled, dragging hellfire optics back to green.

Jay watched as she seemingly listened to every word that he spoke. Looking towards the black hued she-wolf, he admired her for a second. Looking towards her ebony fur, he watched her body as it was settled neatly on the ground. Looking towards the hunting grounds once more, he let out a small sigh that was more of relief than a burden type of sigh. Bringing his tail to wrap around his side and the tip flick slightly before settling on the hard ground. Listening to what Semira said, he was surprised that she even felt anything like she was describing. She really was stronger than anyone thought she was, and it impressed Jay greatly that she was at all able to keep herself so composed at times. Bringing jade eyes to look towards the she-wolf with a sparkle of interest once again, he gave a small smile, something that only she would probably see in the near future. "You're such an amazing wolf, you've already surpassed me in the intelligent aspect," He said to her, looking towards her bright hellfire eyes. He wondered for a second, if maybe something was there between the two of them. If something was possibly going to spark and start something, but he knew that it wasn't the time or place for him to just nudge her in that direction. He hardly knew his Sentinel outside of her original duties and her being one of the only superiors in his pack. He wanted to become closer with her, get to know her in more aspects that weren't exactly related to their duties. Moving his eyes away from the female for a second, and towards the hunting grounds, he looked back towards her. "Have you ever been interested in someone else?" He blurted out, letting the thought leak off his tongue, feeling slightly embarrassed that he had asked. "With you being one of the only superiors in the pack, I was wondering if you had picked out anyone that you'd in the future maybe consider repopulating with is all, since you have that luxury," He said, looking away from her as he said that. It was extremely awkward and poorly timed, especially for their current conversation. But maybe talking about it would bring new life to the subject, and if she was thinking about repopulating with someone, then maybe he could look forward to Ferus being more abundant in young life, and less so with the old harsh ways that it used to be. New wolves meant a new change to the ways of the pack, and maybe if there was change, it would introduce a new way for Ferus to live. Of course, harshness and orderliness was the overall rule in the pack, but letting others actually relax instead of working them to their death like Thatcher had, but he knew that if he did do that, he would be letting his grip slip with his pack, and he couldn't allow that. Flicking his tail slightly, he waited for Semira to reply, knowing that either his question had caused her to react positively or negatively, whichever one would come first, he would accept if she didn't want to answer, but part of him wanted to know for his own sake, and the other wanted to just check to see if there were any sort of relationships forming in his pack.

| Ghostly hues wandered around the territory, contentedness melting over previously tense features. Once again, warmth pinched at Semira’s profile, emerald eyes easily met. That smile. His smile. She mirrored it, before drawing a deft paw, flicking it over a singular auricle. "You're such an amazing wolf, you've already surpassed me in the intelligent aspect,” A soft scoff followed his words, an ebony cranium shaking in disbelief. It took her whole might to resist a hushed ‘Please.’ It was moronic, she was simply good at following orders. Alas, the Sentinel couldn’t keep fiery orbs from sweeping his form once again, admiring the male. It was almost saddening, how he doubted himself; he was extremely skilled. Of course, every wolf had something to nitpick on. Semira, for one, obsessively perfected every move, muscles usually tensed - something lost within the vicinity of Jay. Her legs felt numb, unstable and wobbly. As if blood flow suddenly ceased, but that couldn’t be - her heart slammed within a raven chest. The sudden blurt from the male shocked the bitch back into reality, Semira’s eyes widening ever-so-slightly.
Opening her mouth to reply, only a soft wheeze sounded. Clearing her throat with a embarrassed chuckle, bright hues traveled down to thin paws. Fumbling nervously, the Sentinel was almost unrecognizable. Semira had succumb to fidgeting to and fro, a grin toying at pretty features. The tank of a female glanced upward, hesitantly meeting Jay’s eyes, a meaningful look passed, before Semira clawed once again at the dusty ground. “I suppose I have,” Pulling into a sitting position, forelimbs shook slightly beneath her. A hoarse laugh left her thin muzzle, both at herself and the thick air accompanying the situation. “But I wouldn’t phrase it as ‘picking someone out’.” Her face morphed into a slick grin, raising an eyebrow at her superior. “More a… mutual agreement..”
“How about you?” She tempted, smiling good naturedly. Perhaps she had overstepped her boundaries, but at this point, she was far too amused to care much. The mixture of adrenaline, and simply joy with speaking to Jay hazed her usual sharp mind. But, his two failed loves shortly came to mind, and an apologetic wince was all she could manage. Once again, muscled tensed, would he be upset?

Jade green optics scanned the territory as he avoided to make eye contact with Semira. After the question that he asked, and he saw from the corner of his eye that the she-wolf was acting rather strangely, especially for her always being so calm and composed when it came to wolves asking her things. Maybe he had accidentally struck a nerve with her? He hoped not. Listening to what she had to say, his heart seemingly fluttered with a small bout of anxiety that he couldn't control. Why was he reacting this way when she was saying that she might have picked someone out? It would be her right to find a mate. They weren't all going to be young and in their prime forever. Providing the future generation would be something that they would need to focus on soon enough. He had hoped that Xanthe was the one that he was going to do that with, but now she was dead, killed because of a faulty hunt. His mind flickered once more to Semira, imagining her emerging from his den with pups swirling around her paws, yipping in excitement as they started their day. He could see the little mix of black and gray bundles tumbling and playing, spending the day as if there were no care in the world. A smile pricked the corner of his lips as he thought about it, losing himself in his thoughts. He snapped out of them as Semira started talking again, saying that of a mutual agreement. He wanted to know who this wolf was. He wanted to know what she meant by that. He felt anxious, just sitting there thinking about it, letting the thoughts progress more and more so towards bad scenarios, and causing the male to become rather restless on who the female was going to be mates with. He knew that once mates, wolves often didn't separate until one or the other died. It was natural for them to be lifelong mating animals, and thus he didn't want to pass up possibly giving up a lifetime with Semira. He didn't know why he felt like this, he had shut others out for so long, but having spent so much time with her in the past days has brought him to view her in a very different light. Jade pools tempted a glance towards her. The question lingered in the air as tension formed in his mind, and consciously between himself and Semira. Tensing slightly, he looked towards her. "W-well, I have thought of someone, but I'm not sure if she would want to accept the request if I came around to asking her to become my mate," His words slithered off his tongue and he couldn't take them back now. He didn't know if she would realize that he was quite possibly talking about her. He knew that she picked up well on what was going on around her, so if she was able to read how he had started acting, then she might pick up on his thoughts and his ultimate weakness. Her.

| Despite the harsh radiations of the ever hot sun, Semira shivered, a harsh cold seeping through stocky bones. Amber eyes looked up at her Alpha, a shuddering breath barely audible, but clearly visible. Why? Why did his question make her heart pound? It was… invigorating. Simply being in his presence, for the first time in years, energy suddenly coarsed through flexible limbs. The sentinel could leap, soar, run for miles. But running wasn’t the only activity she longed to do.
"W-well, I have thought of someone, but I'm not sure if she would want to accept the request if I came around to asking her to become my mate,"
She almost flinched, his emerald gaze sinking into raven fur. No, no, it couldn’t be her, could it? Surely it was someone else. Taking a deep breath, hellfire orbs narrowed, sinking rapidly into an investigative expression - similar to how she would report about other packs. Body language, he leaned in, ever so slightly. The male fidgeted, even stammered his words. There was no other explanation.
Looking once again into those piercing eyes, the words formed in her mouth. She would pose a simple inquiry: Who wouldn’t want to be his mate? To be closer than ever, to share every thought - no matter how meaningless -, a sense of protection, to finally bare young. The thought of pups usually sent bile into Semira’s mouth, but the dame suddenly longed for the small bundles. To watch them spring about, free from any emotional scarring. She wanted, needed something to care for. Her brother hardly cut it anymore.
“Ask me-” Semira choked, a swift pain stabbing her in the torso. Eyes widening, she attempted to explain, but all that was offered was a hoarse rasp. The words that tumbled from an onyx muzzle were unintentional, and horrifyingly embarrassing. No. She could do this. Taking a shaky inhale, muscled limbs pushed upwards, inching toward the handsome male. “B-because,” Clearing her throat, the bitch positioned herself dangerously close to the male, noses mere millimeters away. “I’d sure as hell appreciate being knocked over again.” Her final words were hardly a whisper, remarking to their initial meeting, a flirtatious tease.
Hardly daring to move, the Sentinel held her breath.

Jay felt the heavy tension that lay in the air between the two bodies. Shifting back and forth, he felt himself growing closer to Semira, physically moving towards her and drawn to her aura. She was beautiful, the radiating sun bearing down on her ebony pelt, watching every muscle ripple underneath the intensity of his gaze made Jay's own body shiver with a feeling that was new to him. Why was he acting this way? As it seemed that he had given away too much, and she choked out two words that made his head spin and his heart pound, feeling the rapid pounding in his chest, hearing the blood rushing in his ears, it was silent as he listened to what she said, feeling the overwhelming emotion flow through him once more. As she referenced their first meeting, how he had pinned her to the ground while Thatcher fought her brother for the title of Ferus Alpha, Jay couldn't help but smile. Bringing his body to stand next to her, he moved quickly, pushing her down and pinning her, knowing that she would not be expecting this, she would not have time to avoid his attack. Looking down on the black she-wolf, his jade eyes connected with bright orange, staring intensely into them. "If you accept, this means that you will be by my side, forever and always. You will be committing yourself to a life together with me. I expect that you will bear my children, and produce an heir to my throne, but not only that, I expect your full support and comfort when in need," His words were rambling out. He was stating what was on his mind. "And in return, I will do the same. I will offer you protection until my very last breath, I will be here for when you're angry, sad, injured or near death. I will be by your side until the very day we do not walk this physical plain," He spoke, looking towards her with eyes that shown with absolute seriousness. He did not take lightly to the words he said, and he had never said anything to another as he was to her. "Promise me... That you will never leave me," He whispered, the words stuttering out after his long tumble of words. The male had been left without even beginning a mateship with his past two mates, and he didn't want to lose Semira. Never. He would protect her with his life, and he would keep her from harms way, even if that meant he destroyed his pack, and destroyed himself in the process. The one-eared wolf looked upon his potential mate, waiting for her response to his words. She seemed to have wanted him to ask, but he wasn't sure if the way he had asked was anything near what she expected. It was hard enough for the male to show emotion, but he tried his best to put his emotions into words. But it definitely was not something he was very efficient at, and he knew that he would need to work on his portrayal better if he was to have a mate.

| With each passing second, adrenaline sped into action, urging on a rapidly beating heart. As she stood, gazing into those eyes, his eyes, doubt burrowed into every fiber of her young being - but still, the confident facade pressed on. The only give: the flexing of onyx auricles. As her stature balanced, each muscle flexed and straightened. Hind legs bearing the majority of the Sentinel’s weight, the forepaws hardly skimming the ground. Her body ached and longed to be beside his, to feel his fur, affection, to be his one and only. Her affections for the past time had been smothered, due to Jay’s moronic infatuation with Xanthe. But, much to Semira’s advantage, her confidence soared. Though her triumph was tainted with the death of a packmate, if all went well, Semira could care less.
Desperately, hellfire optics searched for any sort of give. As Jay registered her words, it looked as if she’d bite him in the muzzle. Suddenly, a grin spread across his handsome features. The sane immediately slid across hers, it was impossible to resist. Every detail of him was simply perfection, and the Sentinel was lost in it. How could she not be? He was… indescribable. But, the dame was hardly allowed much time to admire the muscular Alpha.
Hitting the ground with a soft thud, a quiet gasp left ebony lips as the shock rippled through her toned body. Looking up at the male, brows furrowed, attempting to stifle a giggle. There was no point struggling - that that she could if she wanted to -, her shoulders sagged beneath the bulky paws, completely relaxed under the captivating gaze of the Alpha. Immediately, his voice hit the air, listing.. Demands? Semira couldn’t help the chuckle, the seriousness he held while maintaining such a posture was simply adorable. Swatting at his hind legs with a soft tail, a marbled gaze shone with adoration, battling his serious emerald ones. Every single word he spoke was brimming with thrilling possibilities, so much so that the entirety of her form quivered with pure joy. But, at his next word: Her grin dropped.
"Promise me... That you will never leave me,"
Pushing her thin muzzle upwards, she pressed it against the left side of his own, then proceeding to nuzzle upwards at his ear. Semira was practically purring with pure joy, and the fact that she was finally, finally, his. Nothing else mattered right now, not the drought, not the loss of pack members. Solex? Who? She was far to into the moment, inhaling his scent, the gap between them finally closed. After a few moments, the Sentinel finally whispered to her new mate. “Never..” Closing round orbs for a moment, the bitch allowed her constantly guarded exterior to completely fall. After years, she lay in complete vulnerability, yet never felt safer.
“So long as you know,” She grinned, flashing the Alpha a quick wink. How could she not remind him of what he so narrowly missed, especially when he was dancing after two other females?
“You’re so damn lucky.”

Jay hadn't expected her to agree to what he said, and he felt his heart flutter alive as she said that she would never leave him. But she added on something else that made him smile. He knew that he was lucky for someone like her to say yes to him. He was a soulless beast that had been nothing but ruthless in the past couple of months. But now he was showing her that the appearance he gave to the other wolves was nothing of what Jay really was. Giving her a small, affectionate lick on the cheek, his jade eyes pierced into hers as he let a small smile grace his lips. "I won't ever forget how lucky I am," he said. Now he was simply standing, towering over her. Moving himself from above her, he would let her have some room to get up, and he smirked towards her. "I didn't think it would be that easy to catch you off guard," He chuckled, looking towards her with a teasing, and rather smug look on his face. "You should sharpen your reflexes," He jokingly said, hoping that she would catch on that it was a joke. Bringing his attention to the land, he saw that the deer were still grazing from the little bit of land that was able to be grazed. It didn't seem like they had disturbed them at all which was nice. "So, this means that you'll be the Alphess of Ferus. The first one," He said, looking towards her. "Isn't that special?" His tone was nothing but cheerful, and it seemed like his old, emotional self had come back to grace only her presence. He wouldn't act like this around the other wolves of his pack, but around her he would act this way. "And it you want... We could comfy up the actual Alpha's Den..." He suggested, looking towards her. It hadn't been touched since Thatcher's passing as he preferred to stay outside and sleep. But now that he had a mate, he wanted to possibly see if they could put that to use. For more than one reason. He shook the thought away, as he knew that reproducing would take some time to propose to his new mate, and he didn't want to put so much pressure on her in that moment. He just wanted to enjoy the fact that he had been able to solidify their mateship, and maybe his current questions would be enough for her to think about for the time being.

| Semira couldn't help the grin that gently filtered through pretty features, the giddy excitement that tightened her chest was comparable to a pup flaunting it's first kill. It was utter perfection, her limbs tangled beneath his muscled form, completely paralyzed - not that she had any complaints. With a small rasp to her cheek, Semira felt her heart soar as he freed her. Tossing over, the ebony bitch shook out any dust that collected on her pelt, eyeing the Alpha as he spoke, whimsy amusement dancing atop amber optics.
"You should sharpen your reflexes,"
Semira let out a mock offended gasp, moving closer to him, letting her gaze travel over the territory; dried trees, the distant deer, him. With a half smirk, she playfully batted his stocky limb with her own. "I'll work on that." She sneered jokingly, a gentle wink sent his way. It was odd, how she transitioned from being a bundle of nervous energy, to simply joyful, completely enveloped in this wolf.
At one point in her life, the dame could've been thought of as nearly impenetrable, her only weakness being Solex; who could easily defend himself. She carried herself sternly at all times, even when alone. But now, under the shamrock gaze of the one wolf she'd been taught to respect the most, completely melted away. Her true charisma shone through, finally breaking through the serious facade she carried far to often.
Listening as her newly established mate spoke once more, his words left her slightly rattled, though it wasn't apparent. Ferus had never had a female leader, and now the title was being thrust upon Semira. Nodding slowly, she processed his words individually, piecing together the reality of the situation slowly. Within seconds, any doubts that may have tainted her mind were tossed aside, irrelevant. The position was hardly intimidating in itself upon further pondering, the idea of it merely sounded it.
Smiling giddily, the tone Jay spoke with was refreshing, and the dame couldn't help but mirror his delight in her expression. It was special, completely unique. A new part of the pack's history. As he continued talking, she chuckled. Perhaps his words weren't as suggestive as Semira took them, but she still couldn't resist the humor.
Of course, it would obviously need renovation. It had been seldom touched since the prior Alpha. The thought of Thatcher now was almost laughable. What would he think, if he still reigned, of Jay's choice in mate? Was Semira truly good enough to stand beside the male? Shoving the thoughts aside, the bitch nudged him with her shoulder, flickering a ebony tail against his hind limbs in a sickly sweet fashion, gave him a flirtatious wiggle of brows.
"I'm sure I could think of a few ways to," She turned, flicking her head toward the commons. "Hm, warm it up."

The male wasn't sure if he was being overwhelming or not, but with how she reacted, it seemed that he wasn't. He felt himself bubble up inside with the feeling of love and warmth for her. Everything could be burning to a crisp and he would only care to be sitting here with her, talking. It had taken him enough courage to ask her to be his mate, but now that it was over, the adrenaline from his nervousness was now coursing through his veins, giving him a high that felt amazing. He had only felt this in the heat of battle and the aftermath of a fight, but feeling this after asking a simply question made Jay ponder why he had been so nervous. Of course, asking someone to be his mate was always going to bring him quivering at the thought, but now that he thought about it, it was silly getting so nervous over something that she seemingly would have said yes too. Smiling as he looked towards her, she gave him a small little hint within her words, making the male grow warm upon his face. He felt like the underlying hint with those words had much more connotation that she had intended. As she walked back towards where the commons were, he definitely was going to follow her. Getting up quickly, he trailed behind her only slightly, catching up to her and standing by her side. He had no reason to try and tower over the she-wolf now, especially since she was now his equal. Smiling at the thought, he trotted along with her, heading to the commons. He needed to make it clear to the other wolves in his pack that Semira was no longer a wolf that was without a mate, and to alert them that they had a new Alphess. - Exit to Ferus Common Grounds -
