The golden male rushed beside his very pretty onyx crush. The wind slapped him straight in the muzzle as the pair of them ran away. They were running to the only place that he could think of in his panic. It was the same place that he was ushered to before, when the war between Ferus and Lubrusca had began. The birthing den someone had called it. He didn't know why. He had never seen anyone give birth here! Ventus might have, but he really didn't know, so he was going to stick with the assumption that no one had given birth in it. If they had, he hoped that they had cleaned up a little. He didn't want to hide from a HUUUUUGE fire in a den that was all stinky. No sireee. "C'mon, c'mon!" he yipped, ushering Macha towards the hazy entrance to the large den. He let her go in first, she seemed to be struggling more than he was, so she needed to be safe first. That was just logic. Duh! He squeezed his frame in after her and curled up in the den. It wasn't as smoky in the den, because the smoke rose, and the den was underground. That was also only logical. The air still stung of smoke, but it wasn't nearly as suffocating as Macha's makeshift hiding place. It was almost spicy! Not a nice spicy though, a spicy that he gladly would not ever experience again. Fire spicy was not a nice spicy. "I was stuck in here for a bit a few months ago because there was a huge fight. It was a lot more lonely. I was the only one that stayed awake!" Parker barked in the den, not knowing whether or not Macha could understand him. He was blissfully unaware that Macha was deaf and couldn't hear a word he said, he was filling the congested air for his benefit. There wasn't much left to do in the den but wait for someone to find them, or for the fire to finish. Taking the opportunity, Parker snuggled closer to Macha in a gesture of comfort, and in a gesture of 'Hi I like you so I'm gonna snuggle you a little while we wait to be rescued." But she didn't need to know that. Omega MachaOOC: Sorry for the crappy post, low muse and in between studying for exams

Omega Macha “Everybody Can Make Someone's Day, Just Smile And Say Hi!”
The scent of smoke was thick around them as they moved, the once welcoming smell of pine trees and unknown flowers easily washed out by the wretched stench. Besides the smoky fumes that congested her like vines, the only other scent was the vaguely familiar scent of Macha’s ditsy companion who ushered her stumbling paws to continue forward. It was nice, knowing that she wasn’t alone. Knowing that someone cared about her enough to risk their own life to help her from suffocating in a dingy little hole. Of course, she couldn’t help herself from clinging to his side as he guided the both of them toward wherever this safe place was.
The path they took was littered with traps: roots and rocks studded the ground like smoothed crystals jutting from the earth. Plumes of smoke flooded around them, creating a choking, utterly sickening atmosphere. Through these channels of haze ran fleeting pieces of something black. Stumbling to a slight halt, Macha observed them with confusion. They were thin, sometimes merely lined with black instead of fully scribbled in like most. A couple gleamed with a piping of the most brilliantly surreal orange. It took a few seconds to register that color within her mind. It wasn’t long before the shocking hue threw her fumbling paws forward again, a sudden realization of the terribly real situation kicking her instincts back into action.
The marbled pup was quick to tumble after her sooty companion, taking a mere second to notice that many of the black flecks had planted themselves into his wooly coat. Like ticks. Glancing up to Park-ur’s coffee muzzled face, she found him fumbling over motions, pink tongue and gleaming teeth exposed. It was all nonsense, she couldn’t distinguish anything he was trying to communicate to her. Macha shook her head furiously, trying desperately to tell him that she didn’t understand, that he was going to fast. His mouth motions calmed and as a last result began guiding her toward the shadowed mouth of a… den. The marbled pup immediately didn’t trust that circular set of jaws, they reminded her of those slippery, glabbering lips she had thought of much earlier in the day. But Park-ur’s actions were so hurried, fear burrowed deeply into his facial expressions in such an intense manner that she sacrificed her own comfort, taking no more time with confusion and hesitation.
Macha clambered into the enclosed jaws of the cavern easily, pressing further into the hugging space to allow her friend to enter as well. The marbled adolescent cowered against the ratty dirt wall for a moment, chest heaving as she tried to calm herself. Her platinum yellow eyes softened as she reached Park-ur’s slumped form, tensed body relaxing as she studied his more calmly moving lips. Gently, the marbled pup scooted down beside her ditsy friend, eyes watching his vague movements as she curled up beside him. Words like “Stuck”, “Here”, “Huge fight”, “Lonely”, “Only” and even “Stayed awake”-the ones with great emphasis-stuck out to her. Pieced together, it sounded sad whatever it meant. A huge fight? The source for that metallic scent at the borders. And the source of the dark wolf’s mournful expression.
“I-I’m so-orry.” Macha’s voice was hushed, her eyes searching to meet his as she worked out her small-voiced stutters. “I-I-ll suh-ta-tay awake,” Her lips twitched upward in a shy smile as she spoke the tentative words, head coming to rest against his shoulder. “Wi-with you.”

The ocher highlighted beauty beside him listened to his speech intently. She was always watching his lips. Was that just something she did? Maybe he should ask Mochi. Mochi! Oh dear, the golden male hoped that fluff butt would be alright. He didn't know how he would be able to comfort Macha if he hadn't made it out of the fire. He was an oldie though, surely, he knew that fire was bad, right? Heck, he was less that an year old and knew that the raging flame beast wasn't a friend. “I-I’m so-orry,” Macha's broken up voice caught his attention. His silver eyes watched her's as she scanned his vision. “I-I-ll suh-ta-tay awake, wi-with you,” her shy smile brought a smile to the cheeky blonde male's face. He buried his snout into her dark, sooty fur after she laid her head on his shoulder, a small chuff leaving his maw. He removed his face from her fur and said, "It's not your fault, you know? It's Ferus'. The turds," He muttered, his head turning away to the entrance of the den as memories flooded his mind again. For once, the happy-go-lucky male wore a half-frown, remembering the growls, the stench, the sheer terror of being stuck in the den all those months ago. Having to emerge and move around the mutilated corpse of Connor. Even with the adults trying to block his vision, he still caught glimpses of red and white as the trio of pups moved around the body. Snapping himself out of his memories, Parker broke the silence by wagging his tail so that it tapped Macha's back comfortingly in the den. "I guess all we have to do it wait!" he barked, allowing his head to rest on top of Macha's. His stormy eyes still watched the entrance of the den, scouting for flames or smoke. He didn't want Macha getting burned any more than he wanted himself getting burned. After a few hours, Parker was pretty tired. He hadn't actually rested, but stayed watching the opening of the den. He hoped that Macha had gotten to rest a little, but he didn't really know. She had promised to stay awake with him, The roaring and crackling of the fire had died down nearly an hour ago, but he stayed still just in case. The fire was big, like REALLY big, so it could just be playing a trick to catch the two pups. Fire was mean, that was for sure. To alert Macha of his movements, he gave her forehead a lick before shifting slowly as to not disturb her much, whether awake or asleep, or just resting. In a couple of seconds, a golden head popped itself out of the birthing den. The world around him was completely different. Lubrusca was green for every minute that Parker had lived in it. Now it was a field of grey. Everything died. All of the plants were grayed and covered in a layer of soot from other fallen plants. Parker sucked in a gasp, but quickly regretted it when a whole bunch of ash invaded his lungs. Hacking, the golden male backed into the den, his throat, nose, and eyes stinging from the ash and residual smoke. "It's pretty bad out there," he relayed once most of the soot was out of his system, "We should probably find some water, yeah?" Parker started again, his gaze locked with Macha's as he curled back towards her. He wasn't about to just up and leave her alone, even if it was for a good cause. If she wanted to stay, then he would stay with her. For a while. They kinda needed water. Then he would get her to come with him, so that they could drink and stay alive after this fire. But for now, it was up to her. Omega Macha

After a few moments, the blonde male didn't hear any response from his beautiful hiding buddy. He really didn't know what to make of her non-response, so he took it as he had to take control of the situation. They needed some water; that heat monster had dried up EVERYTHING! His soot caked throat was itchy and sore, especially after snorking up a whole load of ash when he went out to see what had become of his once beautiful territory. The young male decided that he should probably get Macha's attention first before he talked to her. Last time, it didn't seem like she heard him. Cheekily, Parker leaned over and licked the top of Macha's pretty forehead. That had to get her attention, right? "Let's get some water," the golden male barked, his frame already getting ready to leave the birthing den. "There's a river nearby, I'll show you the way!" A smile spread across his face as he began to move himself out of the den. He turned around after he emerged into the desolate wasteland, making sure that his beauty was actually following him, that she had heard. He was still completely oblivious to the fact that she couldn't hear him at all, but he didn't really mind that he needed to repeat himself. With a grin, he waggled his tail back and forth as he trekked off towards the river. -Exit to Forest River- Omega Macha

Omega Macha “Everybody Can Make Someone's Day, Just Smile And Say Hi!”
Macha felt his face burrow into her powdered fur as her head tipped against his shoulder. After a moment, he removed his head from her coat, head swiveling toward the entrance of the den. Through it spilled a warm glow, each flush of light flickering as if it were alive and breathing. Fluttering pieces of ash brushed the entrance as they passed, some finding their way further into old den and near to her dainty blacks paws which she tucked under her soon after. "It's naw-t you-or fa-olt, you know? It's Feer-us-is. The tur-dus," The marbled pup didn’t at all understand his words but she let a sympathetic expression melt onto her face as she felt his head tipped on top of her own.
The marbled adolescent’s eyes started to close, fatigue beginning to take hold of her. But she had promised that she wouldn’t nod off. So she amused herself with a small pebble that she positioned between her paws. Macha could knock it one way, then the other and it would roll along in a slow clumsy way. Often she glanced up to check that Park-ur was still awake and breathing next to her.
After a few hours of quiet between the two, Macha was startled into reality by a soft caress to her head. The blonde male beside her carefully shifted as she flicked her skull in his direction, confused and unsure of his sudden movement. She watched with worried silver eyes as he shuffled out of the den. Was he leaving her? Her throat tightened at such a thought and her body tensed, fully prepared to leap out there after him. He seemed to be studying the outside. The marbled pup hesitantly stretched forward to peer out after him. It was all dead. Flowers and greenery alike were charred, crisp black figures lining the ground like horrible spikes. Macha gasped, recoiling back into the den where she tried to comprehend their situation.
Her ditsy crush stepped back inside the den, his lips moving carefully but she hardly caught what he had said. She shrugged her shoulders, unsure of how else to respond.
Another gentle caress drew her focus to Park-ur’s moving form as he edged back from the den. "Le-ts get suh-m wa-tur," Water. Macha nodded enthusiastically as the blonde male began to pull his front from the safety of the covered den. She scrambled after him, not daring to let him from her sight. Her onyx paws scraped against the dirt entrance as she yanked her small body free of the protection she had so sought hours before. The small Lupine hurried after her crush, grateful for his bright smile and wagging tail to lift her spirits.
