Dawn hadn't necessarily won her battle against the Lubrusca wolf, so she knew that she wouldn't get any promotion upon the release of ranks. She stayed as a Hunter of the pack, one of the lower ranks that were just above Omega. Some wolves had been killed during the battle, and the ones that had killed were promoted tremendously by the new Alpha after Thatcher had passed. Azazel and Azriel the new Generals, the two having no difference in Dawn's life what so ever. And Pandora was a Delta, one of the packs more higher ranks. Dawn was somewhat unhappy with the fact that she hadn't done well, but she had tried to make up for it by spending almost all of her time feeding and helping keep the pack healthy and fed. She worked alongside Flint, who was the Hunting Superior of the pack. He had thrown himself into the position, as did Dawn helping him figure out what to do every step of the way. She was trying to be useful to the pack, especially considering all the mistakes that she had made in the past. Bringing herself to her paws as Jay's howl rang through the clearing, she would be alert and ready to go. Heading towards the group that had already gathered, she listened to Aspen try and be rude towards Oshim. The male was cocky, and seemed to overestimate his skills, but none the less, his brute strength would help with hunting. "I think he should come along with, it would be a good idea," She said quietly, looking towards the Alpha to see what his decision was. She had always admired the fact that some wolves could speak to him with such an uncaring tone, and get away with it. But then again, Dawn was soft-spoken and soft-hearted when it came to most wolves that were of higher rank. She was willing to do anything they commanded, especially if it meant that she stayed out of trouble. @oshim Alpha Jay Salutary Solex Alphess Semira Hunter Aspen Pandora @azriel

| Alpha Jay of Ferus
Jay's howl had been heard by every Ferus wolf as they appeared from every corner, heading towards where the Alpha was. His superior wolves brought themselves closer to Jay than most of the subordinates that appeared after. The cockiest one, Oshim, approached and spoke about how he should help with the hunt after Flint had stated his plan and idea. It would be a two or three day travel too and from Lubrusca Territory, and with autumn coming, herding and corralling the herds to stay in some of Ferus' land would be a good idea to expand on. Looking towards Flint, he thought for a moment. Semira and Dawn spoke up for Oshim, while Aspen seemed to not like the idea. Jay didn't care about any of their opinions, as he was the one assigning duties and tasks for the pack. He knew that some of the wolves needed more training, and possibly needed more hunting experience, so maybe he could have some join the hunt, and some work on their battle skills. Howls from the borders interrupted his thoughts as he looked towards the destination in which they were. He would choose a few wolves to come with them to deal with the rogues that were there, but otherwise, they would be divided up with others. "Oshim will join Flint on the hunt. You will travel to Lubrusca land and herd some of the prey into Ferus territory," He stated, then looked towards Dawn. "Azriel, you will take Dawn for battle practice. Azazel will work with Hale on his battle abilities as well," Jay stated. "As normal, Aspen and Xanthe will accompany Flint and Oshim to the hunting grounds," He then thought about Pandora and Dis, what were they going to do? "Pandora will oversee the hunt and help when need be. Dis, you'll join as well," He was locating most of the pack towards hunting because they needed to prepare for winter. Winter would be harsh for Ferus, so they needed to concentrate on making sure the pack would be fed no matter what. "Semira, you will be accompanying me to the border to deal with the rogues," He trusted his Sentinel, and personally, she was probably the one that would be able to keep a level head when judging and handling rogues at the borders. Solex already knew what he was going to do, he would probably go out in search of herbs to stock up for the winter, and Jay didn't really care about that. The male could do whatever he wanted, so long as it was to help the pack. His attention was brought to Hale and Dawn, then to Azriel and Azazel. The two were goon battle trainers, as they were Generals of the pack. Giving a small nod in everyone's direction, he would turn his back and the one-eared Alpha would flick his tail for Semira to follow him before he headed to the borders. - Exit to: Ferus Border Outskirts -

| Blinking indifferently, Semira turned her emotionless grey gaze over to Aspen, assessing the alabaster bitch. Her injured eye had healed nicely, her eyelid sealed shut to protect the mangled socket. It was almost shameful, having her eye be torn out by a Lubrusca wolf, an Omega, at that. Keeping a placid expression, she turned to the Alpha, Jay. His ear had been torn off by his opponent, not injured badly to affect his hearing, but enough for quite the intimidating look. Despite this, the charcoal hued bitch held no fear to her superior. In fact, she was fine with him. Just fine. Jay was more tolerable then the other wolves who ranked both above and below her, Azazel, Oshim, Flint, Pandora. It seemed that, like Semira herself, no one in Ferus seemed to enjoy the mornings. Pursing her lips, the onyx wolf said no more as her brother padded out, seemingly as salty as the rest of the wolves who gathered around. Pushing herself towards him discreetly, she stood beside her sibling, flicking black plumage in greeting before looking over him. Sick? No. Injured? Nope. Satisfied with her small assessment of her sibling, she briefly watched him drift into his usual cloud of thought. Momentarily - as she was approaching - he looked annoyed at her opinion on where a certain scout would go. While the quiet Dawn murmured agreement with Semira, the Sentinel leaned towards her brother, whose thoughts slowly became clear to his sibling.
"Solex.." Her voice was soft, delicate. Much unlike the tone she used to address others. "I would never stoop that low.." She let herself turn back to the group, an awfully sinister grin gracing her lips for a few fleeting seconds. "But, he is better then Slate." Her words were in hushed tones, devilishly reminding her brother of the mistake he had made mere weeks before. Would he ever live that down? No. Never. Slipping back into her professional facade, she quieted as the Alpha began to speak, ordering his wolves about. Oshim would indeed accompany the hunting party, alongside Dis. Twitching an ear, she nearly scoffed at this. The two scouts had been growing dangerously close, to the point past the Sentinel's comfort. As far as she knew, no others had noticed the two. It was innocent sure, but the look in the bulky tank's eyes was unmistakable. Perhaps her brother had noticed? He, like herself, was rather perceptive. Glancing at him quickly, she wondered whether or not he would respond to the idiotic drama that seemed to be circling the trouble-maker of the pack.
Soon enough, everyone was assigned different tasks. As for herself, she would accompany Jay to the outskirts to deal with the accumulating number of Rogues. With a flick of his tail, Semira popped up to her paws, and with a small nod to her brother, she followed him. Before she exited, however, she paused next to Aspen. "As much as everyone would enjoy it," She blinked, letting her steel optics bore into Aspen's, a small rumble building in her throat. "Try not to bite his muzzle off." She gestured to the cocky asshole, before jogging a bit to catch up to Jay, preparing herself for the wolves at the border.

The entirety of Ferus had suddenly assembled, silently observing with sullen, wary eyes. Slowly, the superiors wormed their way onto the scene, taking a seat at the Alpha's side, Their attentions, however, lay elsewhere, loosely scattered among their catty Ferus counterparts. Azriel, fur slick with sweat from his first morning hunt, had garnered the Delta's interest; though to be fair, she had swiveled a single, attentive ear in his general direction. That was more than could be said for Solex, assembling with a silent, begrudging glare. Shouldn't a Salutary have at least some faked sense of sympathy? Though more than capable in knowledge, the snappish male seemed to always regard wounds reluctantly, as if almost denouncing the fact they couldn't bear the brunt of their pain themselves. Semira watched somewhat warily, all too aware the extra hunter would most likely be extracted from her wolves. Thus far, the Sentinel had remained silent, readily prepared to place her vote as needed. Oshim waited patiently on the outskirts before taking leave to speak. A small, cordial respect, but one Flint appreciated. Obtaining attention was a difficult, arduous task for the fiery male, often brushed off due to rank or stature. He returned the favor quietly, twisting long tawny ears towards the mottled young male. "Well Alpha," he began, "If I'm not needed as a scout, I'd like to accompany Flint and his hunting party." He jerked his enormous head towards him, gestured towards his thinner, wiry form. "They're on the slimmer side, so they've got the speed - I can bring the strength." He was right there; accompanied with Xanthe and Dawn, the trio was capable of catching the swiftest of prey. Aspen, bearing a larger, bulkier frame always served as muscle, securing dinner between powerful broad jaws. Strength was exactly the reason he'd requested an extra hunter in the first place. Although more than capable of handling ornery prey on her own, the size and strength of their potential new prey would be too much for the fiesty yearling to handle. Oshim, cocky and conceited as he was, would build a balance in their team. Before the Alpha could approve or deny Oshim's request, a sharp, angered voice broke out from the crowd. "Ah, hell no." Aspen pitched, fur prickled in an irritable arch. "The only thing different between you and I is fur color, gender, and maybe half a foot of height. Your help, while useful, would be for the wrong reasons." The one-eyed yearling's head drew high with confidence, eyes flitting between Flint and Oshim. He successfully concealed a sharp, angry growl, meeting her monocular start with a warning jerk of his head. Though he personally held nothing against the alabaster lass, he demanded a small amount of respect from all of his wolves; and ultimately, the decision was not hers to make. Although her argument was true to a degree, she overestimated her own strength. As if a single yearling's jaws could possibly have the strength to hold a thrashing doe in place without bashing her brains in. Besides, a hunter should know it never hurt to have an extra pair of fangs on board, regardless of the wolf that unfortunately came attached to them. Semira and Dawn immediately vouched for their fell scout, the Sentinel simultaneously granting her approval while adjusting the brash yearling back to her place. Perfect. Their interference meant he didn't have to, preventing any strong animosities from building between him and his hunters. Although he agreed with them, he knew how stubborn his wolves could be. Rousing anger would only worsen their hunt, and besides, he'd get a wolf regardless. Sparking resentment was meaningless. Alpha Jay thought for a moment, contemplating how to divide the day's activities before allowing him access to not one, but two hunters, Oshim and Dis. Of course, the gift came with repercussions. For the two scouts he'd given, he'd taken a hunter away, a sprinter at that. Oshim couldn't possibly haul his thick hind quickly enough to compensate. To top it off, he'd placed Pandora, a wolf he had no power or control over, in charge of watching over and helping 'need be.' Oh, Jay played a good, clever game, the male thought, the corners of his mouth twitching into a small, vexed smile. "Thank you, sir." He barked, taking care to keep his tone happy, sincere. 'For the fucking babysitter.' He thought, rising to ready his wolves while the Alpha roused his. No matter. It was a slight annoyance, a minor setback. No matter what his cocky yearlings or slightly psychotic sandy brown babysitter had to say, he'd ensure their hunt was successful. "Try not to bite his muzzle off." The mottled brown male gave a slight chuckle at Semira's well advised warning, snapping his teeth dangerously close to Oshim's muzzle in a small, playful snap. "Temptation's killing me." He barked, his tone light, teasing. "C'mon," he gestured towards the borders. "Let's see how quickly you can move that fat ass of yours." Oshim "Isn't it ironic how you feel most alive when your heart skips a few beats?"
Soon enough, the entirety of the pack had slowly loped towards the Alpha, some seated farther, or closer depending on their rank. Settled within the mixture of subordinates, the giant of a wolf let his gaze drift with vague amusement towards Aspen, who let out a sharp snap of annoyance. Lifting the corner of his mouth into a half-interest, half-cocky grin, Oshim twitched dark auricles as he listened. "Ah, hell no. The only thing different between you and I is half a foot of height, gender, and fur colour. Your help, while useful, would be for the wrong reasons." Chuckling lowly, he shook his head. How foolish. Though he was known as the bulk of the pack, and the trouble maker, at least he did not have the audacity to snap unprovoked towards another pack member. Swishing pale saturated brown plumage, his crimson hued optics flicked to Semira, who soon voiced in her approval of his departure, as well as Dawn. But, he couldn't pretend to care about their opinions. It was Jay's decision that ultimately mattered, even if Semira was technically "A superior". He wanted to growl at the thought, all these superiors while he was stuck down here as a Scout. How disappointing. Of all wolves, he believed he deserved to be a superior. More then Pandora, Azriel, or Azazel combined. But, he said nothing.
"Oshim will join Flint on the hunt. You will travel to Lubrusca land and herd some of the prey into Ferus territory. Azriel, you will take Dawn for battle practice. Azazel will work with Hale on his battle abilities as well. As normal, Aspen and Xanthe will accompany Flint and Oshim to the hunting grounds. Pandora will oversee the hunt and help when need be. Dis, you'll join as well," Oshim grinned, shooting Aspen a victorious grin as he pushed his hefty, muscular body onto his paws. But, he was more ecstatic about the fact that Dis, of all wolves, would accompany him. So far, the lithe wolf had become, dare he say, a friend in the harsh lands of Ferus. He immensely enjoyed the time they spent together as scouts, patrolling the borders and territories, following the Sentinel's every command.
With a flick of his large head, the muscular brute lumbered towards Flint, flicking his ears towards Semira as she muttered a stern warning towards the feisty alabaster bitch. Unexpectedly, teeth snapped mere centimeters from Oshim's nose, though he didn't flinch at the sight of his superior's face. "Temptation's killing me." Letting out a small chuckle, he shook his head, lightly pushing away the smaller wolf with a gentle shove of his hefty paw. "Surprised you could even reach my nose." He rumbled lightheartedly. "C'mon, let's see how quickly you can move that fat ass of yours." Oh, this was definitely going to be fun. Grinning, he padded slightly behind Flint, looking behind him, woofing lightly to Dis - if she were to come - a friendly smile gracing his lips as he beckoned her forwards.

The alabaster bitch knew her comment would be met with animosity, so the reactions of those around her came as no surprise. She lowered her gaze slightly at Flint's head flick, really only slightly respecting that male alone. However, the Sentinel only got an ear flicked towards her. “I for one think additional help from Oshim could prove quite useful. But, this choice is for the Alpha. Not you,” the ebony bitch reprimanded. Aspen rolled her eye while she looked away from the Sentinel. She had never said that Oshim's help wouldn't be unhelpful. She distinctly pointed out that his help would be useful, but his reasoning for help was off. Aspen had no reaction towards Dawn and her opinion. The she-wolf was soft-hearted; glaring at her would do no good. Aspen had enough knowledge to know not to bully Dawn, the she-wolf could break if she did. "Oshim will join Flint on the hunt," Jay began, his decision unsurprising, You will travel to Lubrusca land and herd some of the prey into Ferus territory. Azriel, you will take Dawn for battle practice. Azazel will work with Hale on his battle abilities as well. As normal, Aspen and Xanthe will accompany Flint and Oshim to the hunting grounds. Pandora will oversee the hunt and help when need be. Dis, you'll join as well." Aspen flicked her silver gaze to the mottled Delta. Damn right she better help! What Jay was saying was to move a herd, whatever size that ended up being, time would tell, but that was a huge job. Five wolves trying to herd deer wouldn't be hard, but the deer would provide less meat than a herd of elk. Elk would require Pandora's help while under Flint's command to move, no matter the size of the herd. "Semira, you will be accompanying me to the border to deal with the rogues," Jay finished assigning tasks. Great, rogues. More potential assholes to deal with on a daily basis. Aspen warily eyed up Semira as she paused beside her. "As much as everyone would enjoy it, Try not to bite his muzzle off." Aspen grinned up at the Sentinel, enjoying the small moment of banter between them. She responded simply with a playful growl, not wanting to make any promises that she wouldn't carry out that plan. Why let a god idea go to waste? The sound of ivories clacking caught the attention of the monocular wolf. She turned her head towards the sound, spotting Flint's teeth dangerously close to Oshim's muzzle. "Temptation's killing me," Flint responded to Semira. "Surprised you could even reach my nose." Oshim responded. It seemed that everyone was enjoying the small comment Semira made. It provided a tension breaker. "C'mon, let's see how quickly you can move that fat ass of yours," Flint insulted Oshim as the group of wolves began to move. Aspen huffed in amusement as she started her hefty frame into motion. She moved around, keeping the cocky yearling in her sight at all time, literally keeping her eye on him. She already had to put up with his antics on a daily basis, but at least she could distance herself in the Ferus territory. Now that they were moving as a group. she was stuck with him, and she didn't want him messing around. -Exit to Lubrusca Hunting Grounds- @flint Alphess Semira @oshim @dawn @dis @xanthe

Pandora #645 | @jay, @azriel, @flint, Hunter Aspen, @oshim, @anyoneelse There had seemingly been a lack of time presented for Pandora's chosen conversationalist to respond to her approaching question. Verbal conflict lingered among the crowd of Ferus's finest, snapping snarky remarks and childish comments towards one another.
"Still pathetic like pups." She'd all but puff in a single breath. Her head slowly pulling around as undeniably harsh orbs tore into each individual wolf present. From what she'd heard, it had stemmed from a well-deserved request to tag along on Flint's hunt. The creature in question, in her opinion, had every right. He was built- Better built than any of the others. At least he was an anchor, a dead-weight on any preys neck or flank.
The accuser, a meagre little hunter. One Pandora lacked any or all liking for. She was snarky, stupid, and too cocky for the bitches personal preferences. If anything, Pandora thought she would be the one better suited to all argument at being sat out from such an important task. "Someone needs to learn how to bite their tongue when their opinion isn't wanted." The hushed commentation was all but eager to escape as she glanced upon the target of its mention. Though deep down she knew each hunter, designated or not, was a necessity.
As everyone fell to silence, the Delta let both ears swivel to locate the Alpha's voice. Eyes lingering upon his chosen position as he began to dish out each wolves duties for the day.
Oshim, Aspen, Xanthe, and Dis were all to attend the hunt and work under Flints command- Pandora, in turn had to follow along. Supervising each move they made and ensuring the hunt was as close to successful as possible, be it with or without her participation. She couldn't help but notice the reaction from Flint, disapproval clearly apparent at being tossed a 'babysitter' for his group. This was going to be of great amusement to herself.
Allowing herself to arise to a full stand, Pandora slowly manoeuvred herself closer to the gathering, listening to the final remarks of each wolf towards the oversized scout. To be truthful, she felt he was able to prove them all wrong, his size may have slowed him in some aspects, but she had no hesitation he wouldn't be able to keep up.
Soon enough, each wolf began to move off, following their allocated leader or task to the necessary area. Pandora, with a lack of enthusiasm or interest, merely let her tail slide across Azriel's flank, a silent farewell as she took up the rear of the group. The first wolf she would pass, being Aspen, who received a fairly unkind side-glance from the larger, more variegated bitch. The young hunter was eyeballing Oshim, and Pandora let a low rumble shatter whatever silence remained between the pair.
"Why don't you, miss Silent, focus on your own problems? After all, his fat ass at least knows when to and when not to speak." The words she offered weren't ones that sought a response, nor held any resemblance of caring or any emotion for that matter. They were, instead, dry and rasped, daring the younger female to test the waters of her luck. With an uncanny puff, Pandora kicked up a small cloud of dust and drew herself nearer to the groups Hunting Superior.
On the way, passing Oshim, she'd let the brute catch wind of what could have been classed as an acknowledging nod of approval. Though it was very short-lived and barely held any true motion. Catching up to the smaller, darker mass of Flint, the Delta let her swift motions ease to sit on his heel, a mere few inches from his flank as she bore harsh gaze into his determined motions. He wasn't going to get off easy, his disapproval to her presence only drawing her to cling closely and hawk his every motion.

General Azriel A challenging gaze surveyed those who mingled in front of himself and the other superiors. Azriel's head was held high as he waited with such a skilled patience for Jay to give his wolves their orders for the day, though the Alpha was pro-longed by a spat between the subordinates. A trivial matter that coaxed a growl to rumble quietly from the base of his throat as he rolled his eyes at Oshim and Aspen. In Az's opinion, the pudge and the mute held no right to speak up before the Alpha, as it was Jay's opinion that was suppose to be first and final. The ignorance of these wolves normally would have amused him in the slightest, but this morning, he was thirsting for something to do, and these yapping pups were simply delaying Jay's orders with their bickering.
It was the silhouette of a familiar approach that snagged the brute's attention, hot caramel eyes breaking in their ferocity as he looked to Pandora. The half-smile/half-smirk was more of an instinct than a greeting as he gave a nod to his friend. "And what, might I ask, did you manage to catch on this mornings quick hunt?" Pan's questioning was the trigger to a short-lived chuckle that sparked in his chest as he remembered catching glimpses of her pelt through his mad-dash this morning, and he knew that his catch of a hare instead of a lizard would be quite a story, but as he opened his mouth to reply to the female, it was Jay's words that made him shut it. He gave a small apologetic flick of his tail against Pandora's rump. His story would have to wait for later then.
"Oshim will join Flint on the hunt. You will travel to Lubrusca land and herd some of the prey into Ferus territory. Azriel," The brute's ears shot forward, pointing high as his name rang through the commons, "You will take Dawn for battle practice." Azriel's searing gaze slowly drifted to the she-wolf's glowing face among the crowd, grazing his sights over the pretty little she-wolf. Why did Jay want him to train a hunter? He knew that Dawn had potential due to sparring that he had previously done with her, but he didn't think that Jay had noticed... "Azazel will work with Hale on his battle abilities as well," The Alpha's next few orders were more of a buzz in the back of his head that he made sure to take a sub-conscious note on as his kept his sharp eyes glued to the smaller frame of Dawn, a pixie compared to himself. "As normal, Aspen and Xanthe will accompany Flint and Oshim to the hunting grounds," He simply smirked as ideas for training drills and procedures became a torrent of thought. Azriel would not give the she-wolf anything easy, no, his training consisted of methods that could break bones and tear muscles. "Pandora will oversee the hunt and help when need be. Dis, you'll join as well," Azriel was well-known for pushing limits and breaking boundaries when it came to training. He always aimed to wake up the next morning with muscles that would burn and ache, when he was younger he could barely even stand. It would be interesting to see how the smaller figure of Dawn would handle it.
"Semira, you will be accompanying me to the border to deal with the rogues," it was with Jay's last words that a brush of Pandora's tail against him brought Azriel surfacing from his inner thoughts, his cranium straining at the pressure to keep himself from watching her depart. But he kept his sights set firmly on Dawn. His rippling muscles tensed as he brought himself to stand, his tongue flickering over the warped scar against his lip as he began to move towards his target, a slow blink being the only thing to accompany the movement of his halting a mere hair's-breadth away from the pretty little thing, burning gaze practically staring her down with a challenging intensity. If she flinched or not was her first test, though Azriel didn't waste much time before speaking up.
"Let's go," he announced to Dawn with the deep and husky tones of his morning voice, gaze finally bringing itself away from the female as he began moving towards their destination with a simple flick of his tail. A sense of anticipation burst into life within his stomach. Azriel knew that this training with Dawn would certainly be fun, but he was interested to see if she still had that flare that he had seen upon sparring her only moments after entering Ferus.

After himself followed the Hunting Superior, Flint, Oshim who had earned a basic title as a scout, the second General Azriel at Jay's side, along with the many others that help basic titles. Upon his arrival Flint offered Hale a tiny playful smile, and although he wanted to act more like an adult, Hale wouldn't pass up the opportunity. All Ferus was really was a bunch of wolves with alliances, thus something more was hard to come by. Hale smirked, vibrant green orbs trailing on the hunting superior before they would flicker off again, tail beginning to twitch in irritation at the somewhat slow moving pace of the commons. In time everyone gathered, mindless chatter amongst them all over the day's plans. Like always, none of it included Hale. Older, but still seemingly useless. Hale rolled his eyes, instead focusing in on the higher ranking wolves. Pandora spoke hushed words toward Azriel, and, well, Azazel still stood there alongside Jay, both males harboring their usual harsh stares. A chorus of arguments would outbreak, turning Hale's attention towards Oshim and Aspen. The normally mute she-wolf babbled fiercely about how Oshim was unneeded, and for a second Hale's muzzle twitched, anticipating an ugly snarl. She had no place to make orders, yet he hadn't the place to even pipe up any threatening remarks. The annoying title 'Omega' prohibited him from doing a lot in his own right, which was certainly frustrating. Meanwhile, several howls stretched their way to the pack wolves ears from the borders. Rogues. New strength was always needed among Ferus to help their army grow, though the adolescent scowled at the thought of new omega's, all of which could potentially steal his hopes of earning a high title. He would just need to fight harder to prove himself. And, with more Omega's, he would think with a hidden smirk, I can rightfully challenge those that get in my way. Hale took no notice to the fact that one of the howls was vaguely familiar. Jay suddenly began to speak, silencing the commons with his threatening voice. He spoke about the hunt, something of which Hale tuned out of for the time being. The alpha then spoke of battle training, orange ears perking with interest. He was to train with Azazel, one of the few wolves he was glad to train with. Hale and the general shared no friendly feelings, but the skills Azazel could bring to his knowledged proved more than useful. As the commons again buzzed with life, Jay and Semeria taking their leave to address the rogues, the omega would turn his full attention towards Azazel. Hale got to his paws, fur bristling with excitement and anticipation. He knew not if they were going to train right in the commons or move elsewhere, but Hale was determined the be alert. Azazel could throw himself at him at any minute, and he surely wouldn't impress anyone if he stayed off his guard. His small, slender muscled figure took a step forward, curious gaze questioning the general and waiting for directions.

The battle had felt like it hadn't even happened. Dis sustained hardly any injuries, and they were quickly healed in a week. The female had definitely grown stronger, she could feel it and others could see it. However, it seemed no matter how her strength grew, her body kept its lithe, slender shape, only slightly toning more, but still, no gain of muscle mass. While Dis perhaps would like to have a bit more force and weight with her height, she did not care much for how her physical form changed, only how her skills did. She had spent her days since the battle doing the daily, doing her job in the pack. As time went on, she enjoyed scouting more and more, for essentially, her job allowed her to explore the territory and protect it, and with new territory added, there was more land to be explored.
Dis had found herself awoken in the wee hours of the morning. It was the time when the sun was not up, but the deep blue of the sky began to lighten, with stars still barely visible, hanging amongst the white, billowy clouds as little, pretty lanterns. Dis silently laughed at herself for how much she admired the stars. Now fully awoken, though not necessarily a morning bird, she lifted herself from the cool ground she had slept on and shook her fur. She glanced at the wolves about her, then silently padded off the the closest water source. Thirsty indeed, perhaps her dry throat had awoken her. She then proceeded to pad over to the very edge of the common grounds, laying down and relaxing, but not being able to fall asleep. The autumn weather, however, was no unpleasant, and so she relaxed here, until the morning grew and so did the birds, and until Alpha Jay's howl rung across the common grounds. She watched as everyone gathered beneath him, and then she herself slipped in, sitting at the back of the group as she listened to what the new Alpha had to say.
At the outbursts, Dis was surprised Oshim had only gotten one negative snap from someone. She had assumed everyone would be s but more irritated by it, but she had assumed wrong, and many wolves spoke up to vocalize their own opinions, mostly about Oshim being able to be a big help. She, herself, merely watched her packmates talk, and listened to what they said. Jay proceeded to announce everyone's task for the day, also stating that Dis would be with Oshim, who was just about her only acquaintance, and just about the only person she occasionally went out of her way to talk to. The male looked back to Dis, woofing lightly, a beckoning gesture. Dis rose, white fur slightly tinted with brown from the dirt she sat in.
With a straight face, though she hardly adorned anything else, Dis gladly trotted towards Oshim. At his side, she looked at Flimt, now previously knowing his personality and a bit surprised at his playful, funny attitude. This looked like a fun group to take down an elk or moose or whatever lay in wait for them.

Dawn looked towards Jay, knowing that the dominant male would have something to say sooner or later. It seemed that he was going to allow Oshim to be on the hunting team, but instead of her joining them, she would be battle training with Azriel. She knew that she would need more battle training, especially with how poorly she did against the Lubrusca female she fought. Dawn wasn't sure how she would fair being with Azriel, the male was intimidating, and someone who knew battle better than her. She didn't want to seem rude and condescending towards the male at all, because she could lose one of her ears if that happened. Bringing herself to look towards the male that was standing in front of her, telling her that they were going to go train, she couldn't help but stand there for a moment, looking at him with uncertainty. She would follow him, simply because she didn't want to upset him, or make him angry with her. Dawn didn't want to do anything but make it to a more important rank in the future.

Azazel didn't care for the squabble that was happening right in front of him, instead he would focus his eyes towards the borders, wondering what kind of wolves were wanting to howl at this time, especially considering it was so early in the morning. He knew that some rogues were impatient, but were they this impatient to be there right when the pack was just waking up. Giving a small growl of annoyance, he would look towards Jay, only tuning in when he heard his name being spoken. He was going to train the little runt Hale for battle. He wondered if the young one had at all been trained with such things, but he wouldn't care if he had. Azazel was a well seasoned fighter, and he knew more about fighting than anyone in the pack combined. Azriel was a close second to Azazel, hence them sharing the same title. Giving a look towards Hale, who was excited, Azazel barely held back his small growl to the pup, telling him to not be excited. Battle wasn't exciting. It was grueling, and painful.
"We'll stay here since Azriel is going to the Creek," Azazel said, looking towards Hale to make sure the young male would have heard him. Bringing himself to stand from his sitting position, Azazel would look towards Hale with slitted eyes. "Tell me what you know of battle."

For the first time in days, Aspen finally walked herdless. Her legs numbly ached with every step she took, and though she would prefer to simply lie down on a rock somewhere, there were a few things on her agenda. The first was to fill in her Alpha about the deaths of both his Delta and his... girlfriend? Lover? For now, she'll just go with pack member. The second was to figure out what the hell had happened in the near week she was gone. New faces and scents scattered the common grounds, and Aspen didn't like them. Now she had to meet and greet all of the new faces. Scanning her singular gaze across the commons, she was surprised to see that most, if not all, of the new faces were females. Even worse. For now, she needed to confront her Alpha and report to him the events of the hunt, and why three of his wolves, two of them superiors, were missing. Before she approached him, she mulled over how she was going to tell him. She knew that under his thick skin, the travesty that occurred would likely hurt him more than he would ever let on. Should she present the information with the positive first? That much was obvious. Start with the good, kick him in the gut with the news after. How to say it was the question. 'I regret to inform you,' just seemed weird and completely out of her character, but she could just rock up and say, 'Yo, two bitches be dead.' Should she apologize at all? Should she include Xanthe in her relaying of the information? Flint's instructions had only included Pandora. If she didn't tell him, she risked getting her throat ripped out by and angry Alpha for withholding information. If she did, she risked getting her throat ripped out by an angry Alpha for the information she'd given him. Clearing her throat, she finally moved up to her Alpha. She dipped her monocular head to Jay deeper than she normally would. It was unlikely that he was expecting one of his quiet wolves to approach him instead of Flint. She kept her eye on his chin and below as she spoke. Her once raspy voice was much clearer as she began her monologue, "Alpha, a large herd of deer is now in the Hunting Grounds, ready for autumn and winter. But..." she paused, mulling over her words before continuing, "Shortly after we started herding, Delta Pandora... stumbled. The deer trampled her and we were forced to leave her behind. Also... Xanthe tried to save her, and succumbed to the same fate." She took a few steps backwards, keeping her head down and her eye of her Alpha's. "Flint returned to bring them home for a proper burial. He'll be back in a couple of days. I'm sorry." She wasn't sure whether or not to walk away fully, stay put, or move off to the side, so she took another set of steps backwards. The subconscious part of her mind told her to expect an attack, so just in case, her muscles were taut, ready to defend herself if necessary. Alpha Jay @flint @oshim @dis

| Alpha Jay of Ferus
Jay entered the common grounds, his head held high, and his ears alert. He noticed that Azazel and Hale had stayed in the commons, as it seemed Azriel and Dawn were no where to be found. Looking around for other wolves, he noticed that Aspen was there as well, Solex no where to be found. But the brother to his Sentinel was definitely not someone Jay needed to keep track of. Solex was loyal to his pack, and his sister, and therefore would never abandon them. Jay didn't really care of Solex went missing for a couple days, so long as the Salutary performed his duty, he was allowed to do whatever he wanted. He knew that a Salutary needed space to roam, and the sparse territory of Ferus was not ideal for anything more than scavenging for possible foliage that wasn't there. Scarred pawpads stepped heavily against the ground, shaking every muscle present in Jay's body, causing them to ripple. The Alpha was one to be feared, and the new wolves would know that simply by the way he walked. His voice was also heard as menacing and dominant, something no one would stand up too. The laid back Jay was gone, and it was replaced with a hard and firm Alpha that didn't like when subordinates didn't do what they were told. Aspen approached him soon after he entered the commons, with some urgency to her step. Jay wasn't sure whether he should even pay attention to her, but the mention of the Delta and Xanthe's death caused him to scowl. Two deathes in one hunt? He would have to talk to Flint on why he wasn't able to keep the herd under control. He was the Hunting Superior, and therefore was the one that would be held responsible for deaths on a hunt. Just like Jay was responsible for the deaths of his packmates if they were led to a meaningless fight, letting one of his superiors be injured was something that Jay couldn't simply let go. Flint would know this once he returned. The mention of Xanthe's death did nothing to Jay however. The two, who were once close because of the death of a friend, and their need for each other, was long gone. They had used each other to recover, and once Jay was done recovering from his loss, he didn't need her. He didn't need someone that was going to hinder his performance, and Xanthe was a wolf that simply did not perform to her fullest potential. Thatcher was right, mates were useless when it came down to it. But, Jay wanted to spread his legacy onto his children, and he needed someone ruling by his side to furthermore secure his genetic position within the pack for many generations. His children would become the Alpha of the pack once he had passed, and then their children would as well. "I will deal with Flint once he returns," He said to Aspen. "Go find something useful to do," He growled out towards her before turning his attention away from her and to Semira. The she-wolf would have heard what she had just said, as would most of the other wolves. "Hale," He called, bringing his attention towards the black brute and the younger brown one. "You have someone awaiting your presence," He stated, flicking his tail to the rogues behind him before looking towards the rest. "Until I am able to gauge your abilities in combat and hunting, you will remain as Omegas of the pack, disperse and find something to do. Explore, do whatever. Just don't let me catch you working against me or you will die," He said, before giving a dismissing flick of his tail. He would want Semira to follow him, as she had been at the borders. He hadn't asked her opinion on the rogues, but now he wanted too. "Tell me," He said, as they were further away from the ground and more so towards where a large rocky outcrop lay. "What do you think of the new ones? And of what happened in Lubrusca Territory?" He asked. He would know that Semira would follow him if it were in her best interest, so if she didn't, then he would simply sit there, not uttering a word and just watching the territory.

"I will deal with Flint once he returns. Go find something useful to do," Jay growled at the alabaster bitch. Humph. A better reaction than she expected. She could respect that; a leader that was angered by the deaths of his packmates, and not sent into grieving immediately. With an indifferent huff, Aspen turned away from her Alpha. As he hollered at the newbies, she chuckled. The threat in his words were real, and if the wolves they had brought back weren't idiots, they should know that. Speaking of which, she should probably socialize with said idiots. One of the new wolves, a she-wolf, caught her attention. Mostly because she was the first wolf she had set her eye upon. Might as well 'do something useful.' Aspen sauntered over to the female, slightly amused to see that she was smaller than her, perhaps even shorter than Flint! "Name?" she called out to her as her hulking frame drew to a halt. Her singular stormy grey judged the she-wolf, looking over her completely. She doubted they would get along, she barely did with anyone, but on the off chance, she would want to know what she was dealing with. She kept eye contact with the she-wolf, her storm matching the female's two pools of magma. Alpha Jay @rae
