The pretty angel's big brown eyes only seemed to double, expecting some sort of heart-felt family reunion between her companion and her supposed brother. But instead all that was passed was the males confusion of why the hell Sakia was actually here. "No shit it's not safe here." she exclaimed as she sat on her haunches. Fluffy off-white ears flattened slightly against his cranium, a small whisper of "Oh boy, here we go.." muttered underneath his breath. “I followed you, if that wasn’t clear. But, this pack seems to already fit my taste. But can I say the same for you?" she said mockingly and Tenshi raised an eyebrow. "Dead." she uttered before getting back onto all fours. "Now, what’s the deal with this pack? That one. Is… interesting. You were talking to him, no? What could he teach us?" her raspy voice said.
Tenshi sighed, honestly, he remembered why he wasn't a fan of companions now. The slightly bigger male turned to the jaded eyed female, a skeptic look on his face. "Do you always have to be such an edgy hard-ass?" He said rather flatly, his eyes flickered to the brother sibling, a look that was rather blank spread across innocent-looking features. He wasn't sorry for Sakia's actions. More so the fact he was already pissed off at the both of them. How could one question why his long-lost sister was here? How could said sister snap and throw a tantrum about the question? Ten's ear twitched in agitation. He would be damn glad if he had family left. Of course, the male never knew of siblings, but what he wouldn't give to see the smile of his papa just one more time. A familiar scent was all it would take just to make Ten feel happy. A face that reminded him of home. Yet here he was, sitting between two dead-beat siblings having a petty dispute as to why they were even there in a pack that was even more-so dead-beat. It was no wonder why a new omega had literally scampered off within the first hour of being here.
Chocolate orbs did a once over of the Ferus grounds until he caught something that peaked his interest far more-so than the two siblings. Two wolves, perhaps a couple? One of russet and brown colours, the other of ivory and ash exchanged a few words before the male of the pair had darted off after the new female omega with the pink eyes. Kurumi was it? Was he going to go fetch her? The ivory and ashen female had laid down, seemingly to wait for him. Tenshi didn't know why, but he figured 'hey, maybe the superior could use some help' or something of the sort. Perhaps it was just a way to get away from the disputing siblings but with that, he made a small grunting noise before slipping away from the two. Lanky limbs stealthily and quietly following behind the Scout.

| The Salutary was not interested in anything that was happening around him. No one had approached the male, and thus he found no use in approaching the others. He had noticed his sister's absence almost immediately. Lately her and Jay had been spending time together, and he definitely did not like that. His sister didn't need to be messing around with the Alpha of the pack. Solex already didn't like Jay, simply because Jay was a no good hard ass for no reason most of the time. He barked orders at his subordinates and expected them to respect him. Thatcher was the most disgusting leader they had had so far, but Jay was not the worst. Solex would prefer Jay's methods over Thatcher's or even Bane's. The old Ferus Alpha had only been in power for some time before, and he had disappeared with his sister Silver rather quickly. Solex had once been the leader of the pack, only opposed by Ram. But now he was the Salutary, laboring away at taking care of the wolves here, even if he didn't want too. He would rather watch all these wolves suffer, but it gave him something to do if he treated each other's injuries.
Even if he didn't like the wolves around him, he still found some joy in seeing them stiffen, or hearing them wail out in pain when he fixed a broken bone or a sprained ankle. It was good knowing that he was at least in control of something. Solex would never overthrow Jay. He was comfortable where he was at, and he wouldn't waste the effort in trying anything of the sort anyways. But sometimes Solex just wanted control, and he didn't want anything else but that. Sitting back on his haunches as the male half-listened to anything that was around him, he found himself wondering what Semira was doing with the Alpha. Jay, Semira and Solex were the only actual superiors of the pack, and thus would be the only ones that were going to actually have a say in anything. Of course, Jay would only come closer to him and talk with him about the well-being and the health of the pack, not if the wolves were suited to be here. He would talk more with Semira about the latter. Solex really didn't care for who deserved to be in the pack, he just wanted to continue his boring life here and make sure that his sister didn't get herself killed.
All Solex even really cared for was his sister, but even then he didn't show it all too well. He didn't like the idea of letting any wolves in, and getting to know anyone was not Solex's style. He wasn't going to simply put himself in danger of emotional attachment, especially when wolves were mortal, and they could be taken from you within seconds. His emotional attachment to his sister was enough. He could protect her. She was only one wolf. But if he opened himself up to new friends, he would attach himself to them and want to protect them. And trying to protect any more than one wolf would not work, and it was not at all efficient. He would instead just want to shut himself out from anyone and everyone, and keep it that way. It was much better that way, and he didn't live a bad life doing so. His sister guarded herself well from what he knew. But with how she was acting around the Alpha, he would presume that she had developed some feeling for the male, even if she denied it. His sister was growing more open, and it frightened Solex greatly.
He just hoped that the asshole of a male was actually nice to his sister, and wasn't an asshole. To put it simply, he didn't trust Jay, and he would never trust anyone around his sister, no matter if they proved themselves time and time again, he would not trust anything they would say or do for her. She was his only sibling, and if anyone hurt her, they would have hell to pay. Looking towards the sun above, it was slowly moving over the sky. The hunting party had been successful, but it was still particularly dry in Ferus. Who knew how long those deer would last before they would move on. Giving a small grunt at the thought, he looked away before he actually blinded himself. He didn't want to keep lasting on half-empty stomachs. He was using his herb stores to keep himself from needing food so that he didn't take from the pack too much, but it was still not enough, and eating herbs would only do him so much good. Giving out a long sigh, he brought himself to lay down, knowing that sulking would do him no good, right now he could only wait for his sister's arrival to the common grounds, if she were to ever come back. | OOC: |

| Azazel was hardly interested in anything that was happening around him. The white female that he had been speaking too had stopped talking with him, probably seeing that she was either boring him, or simply was not able to get over the fact that he didn't speak much. Shifting his attention, it was placed on the younger wolves of the pack. He had wanted to know why they were all clustered together, and why they were talking the way they did. He remembered being the same way with his sister, who was dead now. He couldn't believe that she was dead, the mighty Absinthe who Azazel would think couldn't be killed. But of course, his sister's fate had landed in the Ferus Alpha's paws, and he threw away her life without another thought. Giving a growl at that, Azazel made sure that he was not audibly around any other wolves. Thinking like that made the wolf crave for a fight. Azazel was a fighting machine. He had been trained that way all of his life. But now, he was laying around the common grounds of his pack, waiting for something to happen, or for an order to be given. The fact that he was following someone else's rule was bad enough, but his loss in wanting to fight also surprised the male.
This pack was turning him soft, even if it was a harsh pack to live in. Jay may try and be a cruel Alpha, but most of the higher positions could see through the facade that the male put up. Jay was tough no doubt, but in a battle with Azazel, the smaller male was greatly outmatched. Peering over towards the other large black brute that was in the commons, Azazel wondered why the large mass of a male hadn't taken on the Alpha. Solex appeared much larger than Azazel, and obviously would overpower Jay in an instant. He just wondered why the male couldn't do that. Solex however, never opened up, barely talked, and hardly took interest in the wolves around him. Although Jay was not one to socialize very well, at least the Alpha took interest in his pack. The only time Azazel saw Solex do anything was when he healed the wounds after the battle with Lubrusca. Shaking his head, the large brute was wasting his strength on being a Salutary. If a wolf was injured, then that was their fault and they would have to deal with it. The scar between his shoulders proved that. It still ached sometimes when he moved the wrong way. But scars were scars, and he had many of them. Not like one more would hurt him anymore.
Pain was nothing but an illusion of the body wanting you to stop. But if you simply ignored it and went numb, a wolf turned into the best fighting machine. Azazel had done that for so long, but due to this pack, he was starting to let himself slip away from the emotionless killing machine he once was. It seemed that being around other wolves wore one's sense of survival to nothing but a mere memory. Surviving in a pack was easy enough, especially since there were so many weaklings you could use for cover. Azazel had no problem fighting in the Lubrusca war, but he had been fighting against the pregnant Alphess. He had flashbacks to his previous mate, and he knew that he would not want someone to go through the loss of their children as he had. The simply memory of Francesca and their pups made his heart twinge with a pain that he had only felt once before, when he had met with Francesca and her new mate.
Looking towards the young wolves once more, he noticed that one was slipping off to the borders, he wondered why, but he had no business on what the pup was doing, but he knew that he if he caught the pup meddling with spying, he would definitely punish him, and let Jay know immediately. | OOC: |

| Alpha Jay of Ferus
Jay entered the common grounds, Semira close to him he already knew. He hadn't wanted to walk too far ahead of her, even if his excitement was getting the best of him. He felt like he was a pup once more, celebrating the feeling of excitement that tingled on his skin. He flicked his tail behind him, knowing that he was nearing the moment that he was to proclaim a mate publically to everyone. It had always been something in Ferus that never happened. Thatcher himself had not taken a mate, even if there was a common interest between Thatcher and Absinthe. But that was over now. Jay was going to bring a new era to the pack. There would be pups that would carry on his legacy, and the pack would have its first mated pair. He would keep to the harsh regimen that was kept within the pack, but he would not keep commonly to Thatcher's ideas. He had saved the male, and he thought Thatcher to be his greatest friend, but it was time for Jay to lead, and he would break away from the common thinking that Thatcher had instilled in him. Bringing himself to the commons, he noticed that some wolves were missing, but that was not of much importance at the moment. They would come back to the commons eventually, but right now, he needed to let everyone know of the change in positions and ranks with his new mate. Barking towards all the pack wolves that were there, he would more than likely grab their attention instantly. His bark would be ringing through the clearing, and the surrounding area, so any wolves that were not in the direct vicinity of the commons would not know of their Alphas return. Waiting to have his wolves' attention, he looked towards Semira and gave her a small smile knowing that she could possibly be nervous. Bringing his attention to the wolves in the commons, he would wait for them to come closer before starting to speak. "I would like to announce a change in the ranks," The Alpha Male started, looking towards all of his wolves, he knew that they would probably be excited thinking that they were gaining a new rank of some sort, but he knew that getting them to listen with such an opening would be the best to deliver the news. "As of today, Semira will become the Alpha Female of Ferus," He said, looking around to the pack wolves to see their reactions. He wondered what exactly Solex was going to say, knowing that his sister was now the Alpha Female of Ferus, and that would mean that she was his mate as well. He honestly wondered what everyone's reactions would be. Semira was no longer a Sentinel, so he would have to look out and see who could become the Sentinel in her place, but that could wait. He would have her keep her current duties until he found a suitable replacement. Being an Alpha could be boring at times, so having things to do was always nice, at least in his opinion.

| ALPHESS SEMIRA OF FERUS Before initially entering the commons, the onyx bitch paused, taking a soft inhale. No longer was she a Sentinel, hardly classifying as a Superior, failing to gain even a scrap of respect. Now, she was Alphess - how could she perform as such? For months she studied her leader’s, how they stood, their demeanor, everything down to the way they spoke. Now, her investigations would be put to the test. Would she succeed? Or would the first female Alpha of Ferus be a miserable failure. Clearing her throat, Semira stuck to the side of her new mate, unable to resist glancing around at the surrounding wolves. Would they notice? Would murmurs spread across the clearing like wildfire? Unlikely, it wasn’t as if wolves here had many acquaintances, much less friends. Keeping her usual indifferent expression, she opted for a more casual position - no sense shoving dominance down everyone’s throats. The only indication of the joy flickering within her writhing stomach was the gentle brushes and nudges she spoiled Jay with as they walked, varying from soft brushes of her fur, to playful bumps with a muscled shoulder. As the pair neared the front of the Common Grounds, a soft grin broke through her stoney facade. "As of today, Semira will become the Alpha Female of Ferus,"
Looking at the pack, the new Alphess, for once, couldn’t sum up words. The only offering was the bow of a soot colored cranium, her exterior regaining Semira’s ideal expression - nothing. Of course, once the dame looked up at her mate, a crooked smile smeared across pretty features, one ear flopping over as she lazily gazed upon Jay. The day seemed similar to a dream, her relationship with the male seemingly escalating beyond either of the two’s control. It all happened within a blur, a tingling adrenaline high still prodding at the back of Semira’s high. But still, her business with Jay was far from finished. Innocently, she pressed her muzzle into his stocky shoulder, inhaling the soothing scent. Flicking an ebony flag with concealed amusement, she began toward their den, the true intent of her words only obvious to the Alpha Male himself. “We should get started on cleaning this out.” Slipping inside with ease, there was no doubt in her mind that he would follow. (mini timeskip)
Now, the Alphess lounged not far from her den, sitting as she drew a deft paw over her ear. Beside her, was a few remnants of bedding and moss that she’d pull out of the den - at a tediously slow pace. Semira, known for her ability to complete any task with ease, in record time now cleaned without a care in the world. If she were not to be approached, the Alphess would whisk away to the edge of the clearing to toss away the dried scraps that smelled vaguely of the previous Alpha. But somehow, the bitch doubted she would go undisturbed. |

"Just Because My Path Is Different Doesn't Mean I'm Lost."
Dawn
Lupine eyes lit with their sunny shade, ears propped up as she trekked towards the common grounds with a tired trot, adrenalin only just sizzling away beneath the skin from her recent sparring lesson and sweat dampened her russet fur as she strode forward. Oddly; the general had told her to go on without him, though of course she hadn’t questioned it, Dawn found it rather strange that he hadn’t come.
“None of your business.” She whispered to herself.
Coming to the most used part of the territory the dry winds whistled by her, paw pads numb and accustomed to the heat of the sand. Her nose itched at the unfamiliar scents, brows furrowing as she studied the new wolves, their foreign paw prints etching themselves on the dry sand. She felt maybe Ferus needed new wolves, they were shrinking by the day as more disappeared off, while others were now soulless carcasses left for the birds. But it was evident to Dawn, Ferus was far from its former glory when she had first arrived, maybe it had been the loss of the packs legendary Alpha which had left a mark, or it simply could be hard times coming their way. Dawn had yet to form an opinion on Jay’s new position, she’d of course follow his orders without question, but he had yet to make an impression on her as the new Alpha. Ferus was full of varying personalities, from the dark and brooding, to the downright crazy. The she-wolf just hoped that Jay could keep his shit together, and keep Ferus’s shit together.
Speaking of which, she didn’t find any of her hunting partners. She so wished she had gone with them, but Jay had decided otherwise. In an effort to find out what she had missed the two year old trotted over to a face that had seen Ferus inside out. Solex. From what Xanthe had told her, Solex and Semira were the last members of the pack that had come before Thatcher, and while she hadn’t interacted with Solex as much as she would have liked, she had chosen him over a new member, or Azazel who gave her the creeps.
“Solex?” She announced her presence to the Salutary. With the little interaction they had had over the months, when Dawn did speak to him she was generally casual. She’d normally go up to him when needing a wound attended too from a recent hunt, or when simply greeting him a hello when passing by as she did with most, and on rare occasions she would ask about the herbs he’d use on her wounds, though his blunt responses made her think twice the next time. She didn’t find the need to be overly formal with him, and he wasn’t some sadistic male like Azazel that put her on edge. Though of course she always tread with caution, as she did with everyone, just some were easier to speak to than other. “Has the rest of the hunting party returned yet? I’ve only seen Aspen down by the creek with a new one..."
But whether or not he responded, their conversation was interrupted by a loud bark from Jay. Still standing, Dawn looked to the Alpha, glancing momentarily, at Solex before taking a few steps forward to listen to the announcement being on a ‘change in the ranks’.
"As of today, Semira will become the Alpha Female of Ferus,"
She blinked. And then blinked again. And again. She definitely hadn’t seen this coming. The former Sentinel had been the one that met Dawn at the border’s of Ferus on her first day, now Alphess Dawn couldn’t help but grin, sorta happy for the dame, maybe Semira was the partner that Jay needed, the two mending the gaping hole in Ferus, that had been left by their former king.

Dis had been fantasizing about hunting a large, elk and a territory full of water and trees when the Alpha's sharp bark jerked her to her senses. Her attention demanded, she rose and took a few steps forward to better see and hear her Alpha as he announced whatever it is he had to say. Briefly, she glanced towards the edge of the common grounds, but Oshim was not there, still gone wherever he was; Dis supposed she would have to tell him what the Alpha says when he came back. She focused all of her attention on Jay, calmly waiting his announcement.
"As of today, Semira will become the Alpha Female of Ferus." He seemed prideful enough. Dis simply cocked a slight brow in surprise but she nodded her head approvingly. Semira was another older member of Ferus, one who Dis had always personally respected (well, then again, she respected all her superiors and equals) and thought was a little unappreciated. Dis would assume this meant they were mates now, at which she felt a small tinge of jealousy (though she dismissed and ignored that) and also a bit of excitement. She couldn't remember a female having birthed in Ferus before, and the thought of a complete and powerful alpha pair and their own little pups running around the dusty grounds of Ferus made her smile a bit. This would be a welcome change in these arid lands in this pack that seemed so unfriendly, with few personal relationships in itself.

| The moment that Jay reappeared within the commons, he knew something was wrong. Solex could sense it, so he brought himself to his feet quickly, looking towards his sister. She seemed to be in a different type of mood. Glaring towards her, his ears swiveled in Jay's direction as the male barked for everyone's attention. Some of the Omegas were gone, and he wondered if Jay would even notice that, or care to bring them back to the common grounds before he started talking. But it seemed that either the Alpha was too dumb to notice, or he didn't have a care in the world. He saw the look that Jay gave Semira, and it made the hair on Solex's scruff bristle. The Alpha smiled towards Semira. What the hell was going on? The male trudged forward, looking towards the Alpha male with silver orbs that could slice the male to pieces. He knew that there was something going on between the two of them, and when Jay started speaking, it could only be confirmed. They were mates.
Solex was a little more shocked and angered than he was happy. He could barely move from the spot as everyone seemingly turned to return to duties like it was expected for the two to have announced their mateship. Why did Semira think that this male was good enough for her? Why did she think that she was even on the level that Jay was? Semira was worth so much more than this lowly Alpha, and he bristled at the thought of him... of him impregnating her. Growling at the mere thought, he lashed his tail behind him, not very pleased on what had become in the past couple minutes. Why did the Alpha have to do this? Solex could easily overpower and kill Jay. But Solex knew his sister would be extremely dissatisfied with the outcome and would instead be angry with Solex and possess a hatred for him instead of loving him for saving her from an unsavory fate. The fact she would become Jay's mate, to possibly conceive his pups and give birth to them was enough to make Solex gag and want to wail in pain. His sister couldn't become pregnant with the spawn of an moron.
Turning his black head to look towards Semira as she headed for the old Alpha's den that had not been used since Thatcher had departed from the land of the living, Solex bristled, but he knew that he couldn't do anything about what just happened. He would have to wait to talk to his sister himself, especially since Jay was following quickly on her heels. If he found out that anything happened in that den, Solex might snap and kill a wolf.
- Timeskip -
Waiting patiently outside his den, he was stalking back and forth, anticipating any sort of circumstance. Thoughts of little vermin that reminded him of Jay and Semira mixing their blood made Solex want to eat a bunch of berries that could kill him. He knew that Semira would do it, just because its probably something every wolf wanted. Besides Solex of course. He didn't want to have children, he could barely think about the idea of having to take care of wolves and actually... care. If he didn't care about his own spawn then he would be see as a terrible father, so maybe he would decide not to have them at all. And Semira should decide that too should it come time that she did. She didn't need to be drug down taking care of the Alpha's children when they could quite possibly not be mates for very long.
As Semira appeared in front of the den, Solex made it a point to shoot straight towards her, approaching her with aggravation and panic in his step. "Tell me," He said, looking to her. This would be the most that he had talked in awhile to any wolf. "Why you're clearing out this den? You're Alphess of the Pack sure but you won't be... sharing this den with that moron will you?" He questioned her, looking towards her. "Of course, I don't think you'd have lowered your standards that much. But I feel like I'm wrong to assume that," He gritted his teeth at the words. "Why Semira? He's not good enough for you! He doesn't deserve you. You should know that. He's much too..." He paused, thinking of the right word, but not finding one. "He's just not the amazing Alpha everyone thinks he is. He's an idiot and a complete waste of your time," He said, looking towards her with a look in his silver eyes that almost seemed like he was pleading for her to agree that she wasn't mates with him.
Alphas could rule beside each other and not be mates of course, Solex knew that first hand. Not all Alpha Pairs were relationship based. Some were siblings, some were just mutual partners that could were equal and had a completely platonic relationship. But he knew that even with some wistful thinking, he could never think that about Semira and Jay. He had seen all the little interactions. Sure the Alpha was grieving still over losing two of his love interests in the past, but he could see that Semira was interested in the Alpha. He wasn't sure why. He always thought they were going to lead no where because Jay was chasing after Xanthe. Only recently did Solex have to start worrying about his sisters' actions. He knew from the very start that Semira might catch the Alpha's interest. And now that she had, it was all over. Solex now had to worry about being. An. Uncle. Retching in his mind, he didn't let his thoughts affect him outwardly, and instead kept them all internalized in hopes that his sister didn't think he was overreacting too much. Even if he was, he didn't care. This was his sister's future, and he wouldn't let some moronic male ruin it.
"You deserve to be promoted to Alphess. But to be his mate?! I thought you would know better than setting your standards that low," He said, then looking towards his sister's stomach, making sure that there were no differences about her. He took a sniff in her direction as well, just to make sure he didn't smell pregnancy on her. Even if that wasn't possible, he figured he would try and see if he could tell any difference. He knew that she was excited, and that the other Alpha was excited as well, but he knew that she wouldn't be once she became pregnant. She would regret it, and she would pay for her mistakes. He wanted to stop her before she got ahead of herself. "Semira, even if you're angry that I'm saying this, I really don't care. You know that I will always look after you and take care of you, and I'm simply looking out for you, and your future," The black brute said, the words coming out rapidly, the words ringing in his head. He was not at all very good at wording anything too well, since he didn't speak, but at least he could get his thoughts out there to his sister.
"And if you even think about having his spawn," Solex said, looking towards her. "I might have to kill him," The black brute finished, knowing that his sister would either find his words amusing or send him away without a second thought and not talk to him ever again. She had every right to do that, but she needed to know how he felt about what was happening. Maybe he was overreacting, and maybe he should just accept the fact that his sister was becoming mates with the Alpha. But no. Solex wanted to make this extremely difficult for everyone involved. He wanted to make sure Jay knew that he wasn't worth Semira's time, and maybe make the Alpha rethink his decision on getting involved with their family. Solex and Semira were a package, and if Jay didn't already know that, then he wasn't sure how much more the male would need to see that. Jay was an idiot, Semira was a genius. They balanced each other out really well, but he didn't want his sister being with someone that was an idiot. She needed someone by her side that would be able to take care of her, and make her worries go away. Not add onto them.
She needed someone that would be able to help her and create better solutions with her and provide her with a comfortable life. Not give her even more duties, and have to carry his ass throughout life. Solex just wanted the best for his sister, and even if she took it the wrong way, he wouldn't stop doing that. He would care for her and want the best for her until his very last breath. He had promised her and himself that when they were younger. | |

The socially exhausted bitch lumbered back into the common grounds as the last echoes of a bark rang through the dust bowl of a shit land that they called their home. With a quiet grumble, Aspen turned her course away from her den and turned it towards Jay. "I would like to announce a change in the ranks," his authoritative voice rang over the commons, looking at his wolves. She couldn't lie, that did get her interested. Logically, it wouldn't be her. She had come back from a hunting expedition with a shoddy herd of deer and news that two of his wolves were dead, and that his Hunting Superior was stuck out in crap drop nowhere dragging the body of his ex and one of the wolves he seemed to tolerate a o to Ferus. Ah well, there was always another time. She doubted that one of the newbies was going to be promoted so soon, but hey, anything was possible. She would be pissed though. Some kid marching up to Ferus shouldn't get a high rank that quickly. "As of today, Semira will become the Alpha Female of Ferus," Aspen cocked the eyebrow above her missing eye, blinking slowly with her last one. This was new. And fast. Damn, she could've sworn that he and Xanthe had something there, but it turns out not! Perhaps he was a womanizer, just bouncing from she-wolf to she-wolf excessively slowly. If he was, he was a pretty shite womanizer. Perhaps they were actually just happy? Ew. The thought of two wolves in this dry toilet actually finding something in one another almost made her want to throw up. But, she wasn't exactly in the place to judge them, so she guessed it was fine. She could find someone to bitch about it with later. For now, everybody needed to just bugger off for a bit while the cranky she-wolf stole a few winks. Giving them a small head flick as the headed towards Thatcher's old den, Aspen shuffled her feet over to her own den and flopped around the outside of it. With the lack of trees, her den was just an underground oven in the day. She had no intention of scorching her ass today. Laying in the shade of a shrub that barely clung to life, Aspen allowed her head to rest on her paws and her one eye to slowly blink for a while. She drifted in and out of sleep, but never fell deep enough to not be disturbed by the bloody fly that continued to pester her. -Timeskip- Fed up with the fly, and still exhausted with the prospect of the day not being over and her body being too hot, Aspen just decided to get up. The world was just going to keep poking this bear with sticks, so why try to bother doing anything else? Groggily rubbing her eye with her dusty paw, Aspen let a low growling groan rattle out of her chest. It was the equivalent of her yelling, "Fuuuuuuuuu..." The sheer amount of annoyance that managed to leak out of her persona could've bowled someone over if she had allowed anyone to come near her at all. Her eyes were drawn to the ever reclusive Salutary of Ferus stalking around in the daylight hours. The blob of both physical and seemingly mental darkness was out conversing with the new Alphess, his sister. She had never had a proper conversation with the male, the only interaction that they've had was when he patched her up after the war. He seemed disappointed, annoyed, an all around grumpy old man stuck in a young wolf's body. She could only assume that he would have some opinion on the matter of his sister becoming Alphess, so for the moment, Aspen just watched. She half craved the comfort and contact that Semira and Jay must experience, but then again, she didn't like most anyone. It was ironic like that. To want that companionship without having to put up with the bullshit of dealing with other wolves. To want to feel the twinklings in her heart without wanting to vomit into her mouth. To want to know what romatic companionship felt like without having to go through the frankly terrifying process of actually acquiring it. To be a bitch on the outside, but a repressed sap that she would never let see the light of day. Stabbing those thoughts out of her brain with her brambles of bitchiness, Aspen placed her characteristic frown onto her face. Those thoughts could wither and die. Why would she let herself become weak in that matter when she could just focus on... hunting. With a huff, she deepened her frown and focused herself on Solex and Semira, watching to see how their conversation would go without actually being able to hear what they were saying. | ALPHESS SEMIRA OF FERUS Semira hesitated as she was greeted with the site of her pacing brother, as if every gear within his head was turning. Oh no. Furrowing ebony brows, Solex could be compared to a brewing storm - now, all Semira could do was wait for lightning to hit. As she pushed out of the den, her brother sped toward her, looking as if he’d charge straight into her muscled form. The dame merely blinked, not flinching at the impending doom. It was to be expected. While beforehand, she quivered with excitement for her new mate - but now, new emotions snagged at her brain. It was odd; she’d expected Solex to approach with anger, but panic snapped at his paws. Allowing hellfire to mingle with steel, Semra felt the same anger curling and snapping within her chest. Now, there was no need to hide it. For once, the emotion seeped to her expression, the indifference she tried so desperately to preserve thrown away. Finally, she shone through. Stepping forward briskly, she stuck herself closer to her brother as he finished his first segment on her choice of mate. Ending with calling the Alpha an idiot. Resisting the urge to growl, her voice remained even, underlying anger rumbling through it as she fought not to scream. At all times, the Alphess vowed to keeping an even exterior - such was the only way to completely isolated one’s self. Solex himself taught her that. But now, she had no wish to remain alone. To keep her grievances and pains to herself, to waste away life in regret and pent up anger. How dare he attempt to dictate her choice in life? Her choice to be - dare she say - happy? Semira rose herself high as possible, looking at Solex with nothing but contempt. Still, the Alphess refrained from speaking. Semira let her brother say every last word, spew it from his system. To leave himself completely empty of malicious word, empty of anger. Each syllable simply fueled her aggression, the last of her restraint going toward keeping herself from swatting the blithering idiot across the face, cursing him out. No, no. She’d do much worse. There was no need to stoop to his pathetic level, to fire petty insults to loved ones. She was his only loved one. Flickering his ears as he spoke of killing Jay, a hoarse chuckle left her maw, though her pretty features remained tainted with rage. “Who are you to decide who I love?” Semira started, digging her paws into the ground. If Solex were to attempt to interrupt, he’d receive both a verbal, and physical silencing. Her jaw clenched for a moment, as if even having this conversation physically pained her. “To decide what I spend my life doing? We’re not pups anymore Solex, I have the capacity to make my own decisions.” Her voice threatened to rise, but never dared to. Instead, it remained on the thin, intimidating line between screaming, and threatening whispers. “Of all things, I should be mad at you.” She stalked around him, unable to keep from moving. The ebony fur along her hackles bristled, muscles tensed. Semira’s head spun. From moments, she went from finally enjoying time with the love she sought for so long. Finally preparing to have her own young. Soon, she would, if all went well. But now, the tranquility, the perfection of the scene was spoiled by her overprotective sibling. His ability to understand was little to none, though he attempted to pride himself on his intelligence; he was idiotic. Solex spent his life in isolation, the majority of his social contact emerging from Semira, or whatever pitiful wolf needed his medical tactics - if he didn’t opt to poison them instead. Now, he attempted to shun her from making the choice that would change Ferus History, the one that would set new paths in stone. The first breeding pair in this pack, and her brother firmly said no. “You have spent your life alone.” The Alphess spat, stopping after circling her brother, glaring into his stone orbs. “How could you ever even try to understand this? How could you ever have the audacity to judge my choice in mate, when you keep yourself miserable?” The words came spilling out, faster than she could comprehend them. “You’re the idiot here, Solex! You’re the one who doesn’t live up to life’s potential. You wallow in your own self pity every single day, I’m sick of it.” The bitch sunk down, tired from the days activities, as the ranged from 0-100. “Solex… If you try to kill him,” Semira glanced up at him, her expression enclosed in seriousness. “I’m going to have to kill you.”“I love him.” |

Sakia
Sakia furrowed darkened brows, tossing an apprehensive glance at her brother - who remained in a discontent silence. Huffing in mild annoyance, the rasped tones of her singular companion interrupted her bitchy drawl, which she was tempted to continue. "Do you always have to be such an edgy hard-ass?" Sakia coughed, ducking her head to hide the shock that filtered through her usual stone expression. Ghostly orbs looked at her companion, conflicted. As he trotted away, her throat caught, fur bristling in subtle panic. The situation was far to familiar. He was leaving. Leaving. The word rung in her head, the word she tried to hard to constantly ignore. But he was walking away.
"Tenshi!" She yelped, voice crackling in an unfamiliar genuine tone. He couldn't leave, how could he tear away the last bit of connection, of trust she had instilled in a living being. Snatching up the stick, she shoved dust over the scraped but branch to conceal her memento. "Tenshi, wait!" Using muscled hind legs, she bounded forward, leaving her brother in the dust, unknown of what torture laid ahead.

Omega Lluise "Every Day That You Breathe You Make My Life Harder."
Lluise stepped into the Common Grounds within minutes, "lucky" enough to have bustled in at the moment of Jay's announcement. Flicking gorgeous, robin egg hued orbs toward the gangly timber male, the pearly bitch swept to a slight pause while she twisted ears to ingulf his words. "I would like to announce a change in the ranks," Her eyes narrowed subtly, already unexcited to hear what it was he had to say. She had just joined, so an announcement like this was of no importance to her. She would simply have to remain as a lowly, useless, chew toy of an Omega until her new Alpha came to recognize her potential. "As of today, Semira will become the Alpha Female of Ferus," Llu had no previous knowledge of this bitch, simply flashing a look of neutrality in the onyx she-wolf's direct with little care. Ah, yes. The one at the borders.
With an unconcerned sigh, the pearly bitch skirted away from the others, some excited and some furious to learn of their newly labeled Alphess. However, she was unaffected by the situation, and merely steered clear of the center of the Commons as she searched for a place to create a temporary or even permanent den space. A lady needed her beauty sleep, and she couldn't get that done without a comfortable place to rest her head.
Padding lightly around the perimeter, Llu discovered the remains of an old stump, aged and eroded to the point where it's original color had faded to a warm gray and it's surfaces were rough and worn. Though only a skeleton, it would do for a den space quite well, and Lluise quickly claimed it as hers, to avoid any confusion or spats that could surface from such a choice in home. Two of the larger roots were spread wide apart, allowing for a badger-sized hole to be created beneath them. Huffing, Llu began to dig, gritting her teeth at the feeling of dirt between her pads as she worked. Usually she would rope some poor brute into doing it for her, but she had a feeling that many of the oversized buffoons hanging around this pack wouldn't fall for her sickly sweet antics.

| Solex was taken aback by what his sister had to say to him. She was not listening, and instead said that she, should be mad with him. He was a little angry at the fact that she chose to lecture him about living his life alone, when he had experienced even the slightest twinge of feeling for Slate before she had been murdered during the war. He knew that she was going to die. He knew that the Lubruscan Wolves would kill her, so he pushed her away and claimed that he didn't love her. And in fact, he didn't love her. He was simply infatuated with her, and found her to be good company. Nothing more. But he knew now that his sister didn't know this, as he had portrayed it to her as if he didn't. "I choose to be alone because its better than being attached to a life that could be taken so easily," He growled out looking towards her. "The only one I've ever cared about its Slate, and look at what happened to her. She's dead, Semira. Gone. I won't ever see her again. The only wolf I can depend on to not die on me is you," He said, looking towards her. "You try your damn hardest for this pack. You deserve the rank, but I don't approve of your mate," He growled out, his white fangs showing slightly at the mention of the word 'mate'.
He was admitting that she was claiming Jay as her mate. He would admit it since his sister seemed happy with him. When she threatened to kill him, he looked towards her with somewhat amused silver eyes. "You couldn't reach my neck if you tried," He smirked, looking down at his sister. "After all, you are short," She flicked his tail behind him, insinuating that he was being playful. It was something he never displayed to others, but with Semira, he could. He hoped that his more playful mood would lighten the mood and change the subject. Sure, he still hated Jay with a passion, but he'd accept his sister's wishes. "And also, if you want to find me a female, why don't you accept one into the pack that would be worthy enough to even come near me, after all, you're in charge of that now," He said, looking towards her. "But that doesn't mean I'm going to find a mate, after all, being alone is better than being emotional," The male, stated, turning away from his sister. Flicking his tail in the air, he looked back over his shoulder. "I'll be collecting herbs if you need me," He would inform her of his actions, but in the previous months that Jay had been Alpha, he had not given the male any inclination on where he would be. It was mostly due to Solex's growing hatred for the male, but his sister should at least know if she needed anything.
Heading off to the edge of the commons, the male's emotionless face returned and replaced the small smirk that he had on his lips. He didn't often let that look come over him, but sometimes, letting himself express a more playful nature was nice. Maybe if he would act that way-. Shaking his head, he shook the thoughts of Semira's words away, knowing that she was getting in his head. He didn't need to express emotions to get by in life, he needed to stay calm, collected, and show no signs of feelings. It was better that way. Wolves would not take him as someone they could pick a fight with, and would instead fear him for his emotionless demeanor. Because most found only the insane to be emotionless. It was a good cover-up for any wolf, so long as they knew how to portray the attitude correctly. Finding himself in a small oasis away from the commons, that wasn't too far from his den, he let his muzzle tilt down and his tongue lap at the water, the soothing cold sliding down his throat felt good, and he needed something to drink. The Creek was slowly starting to fill up once more, but it would take time for it to be fully replenished. So Solex took to this small area, knowing that he was better off drinking here in his own privacy. Looking around, his eyes swept over the small plants that were growing. Most were starting to reach maturity from the last time he had harvested from them, but some of them were starting to die due to the colder weather that was to come.
Ferus had never had much snow fall, but when it does, it would fall and kill any living plants besides evergreen trees that lay on the borders. The snow would fall soon, he could sense it. So grabbing the plants he could, he took them back to his den. His large black body sulking back in and slipping into the small entrance with ease. Placing the plants on the floor, he would start sorting them and placing them where they needed to go, all the while making sure he picked out dead and unusable herbs from each pile.

| Alpha Jay of Ferus
Jay was not surprised that most of the wolves did not care Semira was Alpha Female. Most listened, and then went about with their daily lives. It wasn't uncommon for the Ferus nature to be this way, so when he knew that most were departed from the area that he was currently standing in, his eyes turned to Semira. She spoke before he could, and she buried her muzzle in his before deciding to make a statement of cleaning out their den. Although the other intention was obvious, the male knew that work did have to be done, even if some fun would be had. Following her with a smirk placed on his lips, he made his way into the den. { Tiny Timeskip } After the den was finished, Jay had decided that he would stay in it for a little bit to have his scent linger within the little area. Of course, Semira stepped out, having probably wanted some air. The stuffy den was not the best for wolves when it was still more than warm enough outside. bringing himself to look at their work, it was a little messy, but it would be fixed soon. Taking the tiny pieces of bedding that had been scattered and placing them once more in the bed area, of their den, he padded it down, and then made sure to spread it large enough for himself and her to fit neatly on the bed. Having heard the voices outside, he listened, but could only hear muffled words. Semira was definitely talking to Solex, her brother. Jay didn't know much about the male except for the fact that he could be a prick. Craning his ears to listen, he could tell it was a heated argument between the two siblings, so he would not interfere. Waiting for it to die down, he came out of the den, looking towards the departing body of Solex. Looking to his mate, he gave her a lick on the cheek, hoping that maybe his presence would calm her down. "What was that about?" He asked, wanting to hear what she had to say about the argument. She would probably give the best detail, especially compared to listening from inside a stuffy den.

| ALPHESS SEMIRA OF FERUS Twitching onyx auricles with uncertainty, the hellish eyes of her sibling brimmed with identical anger. Slicked with contempt, and - was it really? - remorse, Solex pressed himself over his sister, earning a subtle tip of her head. A non-verbal ‘Try me’, if you will. Though, as the raspy drawl continued, the dame was left in a confused daze. Slate? Of all the females that spent time within the territory, Slate had captured his eye? Narrowing metallic eyes, glazed with pure exhaustion, Semira frowned. Solex seldom talked to other wolves, hardly even Semira herself. How had she missed this? Something so vital? Constantly, the Alphess was reminded, and prided for her vigilance. The ability to seek, and calculate what other’s simply couldn’t. Tensed shoulders drooped, subdued with awe. How had she missed this… Mustering a sympathetic shuffle of paws, the dame couldn’t help the irritation that persisted, curling, pounding, snapping within her chest. How couldn’t he have told her? His sister? Perhaps she was being hypocritical, she hadn’t uttered a word about Jay, after all. In all fairness, their mateship had been swept up within one day, months of concealed emotion spilling out over a few short hours. Alas, Solex’s mood shifted as quickly as it came. Even with his teasing words, she felt hollow. Pressing attentive auricles down, Semira merely stared at her sibling as he walked away, words slung over his shoulder as the softest of apologies slipped from ebony lips. How...How didn’t she know? Dragging her to reality was a quick rasp against her cheek, effectively grounding the Alphess. "What was that about?" Almost immediately, Semira unraveled. Muscles loosened, and her dark cranium drooped. Pressing her muzzle momentarily into his shoulder, the soothing scent of Jay softly smothered the day’s events. “He doesn’t approve.” Semira murmured, voice rasped with the desire to rest. “Something about not being good enough..” Heaving a sigh, she shook her head. “It was nonsense, really.” Narrowing hellfire orbs, she cast her gaze to the side. Scanning over the commons, pausing on each wolf that mingled within the area. Frowning, a plush tail flickered with gentle worry as the absence of multiple wolves rattled her mind. Tenshi, Sakia, Oshim, Kurumi - were there any more? The Alphess cast the least worry to the Scout, who’d resided in the pack longer than the three Omegas who were gone alongside them. Pushing down the nagging feeling, she stretched muscled limbs. Scooping up the shredded remains of Thatcher’s old bedding, she whisked to the opposite side of the commons. Dropping the musky skeleton, Semira wrinkled her nose in mild disgust. The scent brought back memories, both foul, and indifferent. But, the past was not something to dwell on. A certain alabaster oddity caught the bitch’s attention, padding toward the subordinate, the Alphess plopped tiredly beside her. Normally, socialization hardly crossed Semira’s mind. Perhaps it was the sleep deprivation, or maybe the desire to rid her mind of Thatcher, but the raven dame found herself speaking to the Hunter. “Flint stuck you with telling Jay about Pandora, and Xanthe?” Cringing slightly at the name, the ex-Sentinel couldn’t help the small smirk that plastered over usually mild expressions. “What a dick move..” |
