| Delta Draco of Somnus
Draco was shot down almost immediately, especially for talking out of place in a pack that he didn't belong too. His brother seemed to lighten the mood with a joking manner to his words, but he could tell that he was being serious underneath, telling Draco to back down before things escalated too far. Huffing, he looked towards Eureka, whom seemed slightly embarrassed by his actions. He couldn't help that he wanted a better success for a hunt than just one doe. It would not be able to feed all the pack members, and he was wondering why his brother ran his pack in the way he did. But, that was Luke's ordeal and not Draco's. He would let his brother run his pack how he wanted it run, and he wouldn't step in anymore. Luke had made it very clear that he didn't want any advice from his siblings on how to run his pack, or how to do the hunt. Bringing himself to stand as they readied for the hunt, the wolves took off before him, and he took off after his party that was supposed to chase after the buck. Draco was always used as the brute force for a hunt, considering his large and bulky stature. But his only downfall was the fact that he was slow. What he lacked in speed he made up with strength and intelligence, or he at least thought so. Making his way to the front of the buck, the male deer was rather angry that he was being barricaded away from his herd, but Draco would not allow him to step anywhere close to where the others were currently taking down the doe. As the buck reared up on his hind legs to come down and smash Draco's skull, the male moved out of the way, letting the hard impact injure and shock the buck slightly. Draco took this time to jump forward and latch onto the buck's neck. Making sure that his head was angled so that he couldn't be hit with the buck's antlers. Maneuvering, he would potentially have some help from his hunting party, but he was about the size of the buck, and therefore it would be much easier killing him than anything else. But the thought crossed his mind that if the buck was killed, the does would not have protection, nor a reproductive partner in continuing the herd. The sour thought crossed his mind, and he begrudgingly decided that it would be in Noctis' best interest that he would not kill the buck. Holding on, he peered over to see that the doe was dead, and Luke was standing above it, triumphant in his killing efforts. Letting go of the buck's neck, he moved backwards as the buck slammed his antlers down, nearly hitting Draco in the leg. Growling and snarling, Draco's attempt to scare the beast worked, and the buck ran after the rest of his herd, gathering them and leading them quickly to safety away from the wolves. Walking over towards the others, he didn't say a word, but instead looked towards his brother and sister, waiting for them to speak.

- the constant happiness is curiosity -
Eureka closed her eyes, drawing in air through her nose ⏤
Breathe in confidence because I can do this. Breathe in self-love because I deserve it.
She had come to realize that Luke's family was, in part, Eureka's too⏤all of Somnus's. In the communal events that had occurred since she'd arrived she'd felt their affirmation and participation in the hunt had begun to seem more and more like a family obligation than an invitation. Nevertheless, she was here now, and it was time to begin. She gave an inclining bow of agreement to Wren before taking off with her.
Eureka remotely surveilled the action of the hunt, trusting that the hunting superior would be doing her job: tracking the events appropriately. She first engaged her position at the hip of the doe, alternating between a forward and rear-sided bearing to protect Wren's attacks as the doe's weight shifted occasionally. The alphess was on an external position and therefor had the job of making sure Ozmond and Wren's attacks wouldn't send the doe off in another direction. Next, with bias, she heeded the positions of her brothers, but spent no additional time eyeing them once she knew they were safe.
"Go for the good hip," she recalled her instructions. Eureka attacked next. Wren's attack urged the doe to defend her crippled area, leaving her left flank open. The durable she-wolf had established a steady pace beside the doe; she aimed upwards and latched onto the hip with the strength of her jaw. It hadn't been in practice much, not like Ocean's in his many battles; tearing through the tough skin was a difficult task and she was beginning to fasten longer than she had planned. To provide aid and efficiency she brought her claws to the flank of the animal, stabilizing her position and eventually pushing her off out of it in time. Quite pleased with her decision, she let out a joyous bark, cuing Ozmond's attack.
She felt ecstatic, like she was full of boundless energy and potential⏤throw anything at her and she'd catch it. Her party was closing, she could tell; The doe was stumbling, its hoof-clanks on the earth slowing along with the pawsteps of Wren and Ozmond, and her rush of blood began to take a rest she began to feel how exhausted she really was. The weight of her body on top of the fallen animal felt like two tons.
She gawked at the wholesome figures of her brothers, though as bloody and stinky as she was. She was quite surprised that there had yet to be said a word among the hunting party. Congratulations were in order, particularly for the wolf who had organized it all.
"Well done. You've got a knack for the hunt," she praised with as pretty a smile she could offer with all the blood on her maw. With a wagging tail, she nodded to Ozmond, praising her hunting partner. She had hoped to meet everybody, but time didn't permit it. She met with Luke next, and last.
"I wish we could stay, but Somnus needs their leaders. With charity, I accept Noctis as extended family. They're lucky to have you." She rested her head at her brother's neck, closing her eyes and breathing in the love of her family. "We'll see each other again. I love you."
She put on a smile before her features were exposed to her brother's pack, a tail wagging as she raised her chin. It didn't feel like Luke had left Somnus for a new family; he'd only expanded it, giving their parents a longer line of loyalty and love. It was all part of Somnus in a way.

Eureka spoke after Draco had approached his two other siblings. Looking towards Eureka as she spoke to Luke, he couldn't help but feel a little left behind. It seemed that the two Alphas were able to understand and see each other at a mutual level, but as always Draco was pushed out of the moment. Listening to what Eureka said to Luke, he flicked his tail, looking over the wolves that Luke now called family, and Somnus' extended family. The wolves here were nothing like the wolves back home, and he wished that he had more time to analyze and see if his brother had done well gathering followers that would be loyal to him and only him. But that was nothing that he could determine now, considering Eureka was heading away, leading towards the borders to head back to Somnus territory. He looked towards Luke, wondering if he should say anything to his brother. Draco had never been one to display love and affection towards the wolves around him. The only one he had really displayed affection towards was Aelin. Thinking about the she-wolf that would be waiting at home for him, he felt his heart skip a beat. He wanted to see her. It felt like it had been so long since he had seen the she-wolf, and he wanted to tell her how much she meant to him. He had planned on asking her to be his mate once he was back, but he wasn't sure if she would accept. She was so much better, and deserved so much better than him. But he hoped that maybe there was the slightest chance she would tolerate him, and have him be her mate. Bringing his thoughts back to reality, he looked towards Luke, giving his brother a gentle nudge as he walked past. "Keep your head up, I love you," The brute said, brown eyes glittering with care and sorrow at the thought of leaving his brother. But the emotions that were flooding from him soon were locked back up, and with a flick of his tail, he followed after his sister, looking towards Somnus territory as he did so. He wasn't sure how to feel about this evening, but he knew that seeing his brother had been at least something that both him and Eureka needed. And he was happy that Luke had finally found a place with other wolves that made him happy. - Exit to Dry Woods -

Adrenaline always zinged through the she-wolf's system after a hunt; it wasn't bloodlust that drove it but the exhilaration of running as a pack and ultimately using teamwork for the greater good. Beneath capable paws was a meal fit for the pack, one that would hopefully bring them away from the tragedy that had plagued them so quickly. Her chest heaving, the hunter turned her sparkling eyes to Luke's sister and Ozmond, as well as Luke's brother and the pair of she-wolves she had put into the second hunting group. The morning went from leaf sliding to taking down breakfast. At least the three of them had still gotten to work together. The angelic voice of Luke's sister floated into her ears, "Well done. You've got a knack for the hunt." Beaming a grin back, Wren dipped her head towards the foreign Alphess. The compliment warmed her heart, especially because it came from someone who was virtually a stranger. To hear that her skills were noticeable even to those outside the pack warmed her heart. Within a few minutes, only Noctis members remained, both of the Somnus superiors giving her Alpha well wishes and goodbyes before they left to return home. Amber eyes turned to the bloodstained male in charge of the pack, a question lingering on her lips for a few seconds before she spoke, "So what's the plan for hauling this back, Luke?" A residual smile lay over her face, looking towards the Alpha to see if he would assign her the job of handing out roles again to bring the meal back to the common grounds. She wouldn't mind if he did, there were many strong and capable wolves in the hunting grounds that would be able to bring the deer back to the commons. Keeping her gaze on Luke, the hunter waited for an answer. Alpha Luke @ozmond @aili Hunting Superior Ater @imnotgoingtotagthesomnuspeeps

As soon as the hunt had started, it felt like it was over in 3 seconds. Her job had been carried out with the member from Somnus rather simply. Minutes after it was over, adrenaline remained in her body, and she was starting to wonder if it would still be there tomorrow. She had the feeling that whatever had happened between when Wren initiated the hunt and now had not really happened, it was a blank spot in her memory, one that she had to physically try to remember. Perhaps it was the speed at which it happened or how focused on her task she was that she didn't actually live out the experience much, but nonetheless it was over, though the feeling of exhilaration remained. At their paws was something to feed the pack, something that would last them a while. It felt good to look down on the animal, knowing she contributed to bringing this to her pack mates. A fast, bitter thought flashes in her head. Maybe it would be more rewarding if I had any sort of attachment to any of them, she thinks sourly, before scolding herself and shaking the thought away. Sometimes, it seemed more and more that these bitter and crude thoughts entered her mind, and she was truly wondering if she was becoming a, well, bad wolf. It was quite the contrast from when she was a pup, where all she wanted to do was help and make friends. Now, she felt no feelings of attachment or desire for attachment to anyone (apart from Wren, who seemed to be her only semblance of a friend) and only wanted to fill out her pack duties, to do the simplest. This was not to say she would turn down a request for help, but rather she was not that kind of soul anymore. Trying to shake thoughts of her becoming bitter and lone out of her head, she looks at Wren and smiles as Luke compliments her. She deserved it. Then, as Wren asks Luke what the plan to take it back is, she shifts her gaze to Luke, patiently awaiting a new task to be given to her. Alphess Wrencrappy lil aili post lol

| The hunt was successful, no doubt. The male couldn't be prouder that they had made a kill with his siblings in the presence of his territory. Looking towards them with cranberry orbs that were lit with excitement, he was saddened to hear that they had to depart so quickly. Looking towards his sister, he couldn't help but smile at what she said towards Wren. She was one of his best wolves, and he was glad he had her make the plans for the hunt. Looking towards the female mentioned, he gave a tiny nod and smile towards her. He would congratulate and praise her later over the meal with the entirety of the pack present to hear. She deserved at least that. The warm touch of his sister's head resting upon his neck filled Luke with a happiness he had been missing. Growing up, it was his siblings and himself watching each other's backs. Now, it had changed. They were adults, running their own packs and living their lives separately. He wished that he sometimes hadn't left Somnus, but he felt too much at home with Noctis to even consider abandoning them to return home with his siblings. He had a wonderful life here, and he wasn't about to abandon that. Listening to his brother and sister as they passed, he smirked a little at Draco's rough goodbye. "Love you guys too! Have a safe journey home!" He called after them, waving his tail behind him. He would miss them, but he was glad that they had visited.
Stuck in his own little world, he hadn't realized that Wren had spoken to him. Looking towards the female in question, he gave her a joyful smile before looking towards the deer in question. "It would be best if we transported this back, yes. Ozmond and Aili, gather near the rear and carry it from there. Wren and I will carry the top portion," He knew that it wouldn't take many wolves, but he felt that they should all have a part in bringing it home, and having Wren in front would be the best. The male had seen her leadership skills, and her willingness to work with others and make sure that everyone in the pack was happy and healthy. She was overall a very compassionate wolf, and he felt that she was much more deserving of a higher position.
Gathering the deer on his shoulder, leaving enough room for Wren to grab the other side, they would be in close proximity of each other, fur brushing only slightly, but he hardly paid any attention to that. Instead, he was stuck in his head, wondering if he should promote her. He would consult Seven, but he wasn't sure his mate would really do anything but agree with him. He loved her, no doubt, but it seemed that she was almost too timid for the position of Alphess. Shaking his head slightly, he couldn't think about that right now, especially since they had a litter on the way. Something about that thought however sparked worry and concern within him. Was she really the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with? He loved her and their unborn offspring, but something just felt wrong about the entire situation, as if he had made a wrong decision. But he couldn't jump to conclusions in that very moment, and instead he would think it over, not speaking much to his other pack members on the journey back to the common grounds, and instead simply arguing with himself.

The huntress watched as her words snapped the russet Alpha out of his thoughts. It must be hard to watch your family leave after such a short stay. Wren could understand why the male was off in space. When he finally tuned in to her words, a bright smile lit up his face. Almost instantly, Wren reciprocated the smile, a beaming grin flashing onto her face before he finally spoke, "It would be best if we transported this back, yes. Ozmond and Aili, gather near the rear and carry it from there. Wren and I will carry the top portion." With a plan set in place, Wren began to move around to the head end of the deer, expecting to drag the felled beast back as they had done with many hunts, but instead Luke began to hoist the doe onto his shoulders. A startled look crossed the she-wolf's face before she darted in, catching the remaining weight on her back. Luckily, she and Luke were nearly the same height, so at the front at least there was a balanced weight at the front of the deer. Their proximity was close, tips of fur brushing against one another as they stepped in harmony. As they moved it seemed strange that so many wolves were carrying something so relatively small. Heck, the deer was as big as Luke's brother! There was no way that four wolves were needed to carry the deer back, but who was she to question why Luke had made that decision? Luke seemed to regress back into his head, falling silent quickly. Rather than break it, Wren let the comfortable silence linger over the Noctis hunting party as they walked back to the commons. General Ozmond of Noctis Ozmond watched as Luke’s siblings departed the hunting grounds. He flicked a tail in thought, wishing that the duo could have stayed and ate their kill. That way they weren’t leaving on an empty stomach. Remembering that prey in the rogue lands was sparse at best, he frowned in worry. He sent a prayer along their way, hoping they would arrive at their home safe and sound. Turning his towards Luke as he spoke, Oz gave an affirmative nod before sinking his teeth into the back leg. Between the four of them, carrying the deer back would be an easy task. The remainder of the trip was silent, leaving the four to their thoughts. He couldn’t begin to guess what Wren’s or Luke’s thoughts were so he escaped into his own. His thoughts turned to the past couple of months and the ascension to General. The event brought him a sense of purpose. Something Oz has been craving for a long time. At least now he achieved one of his goals. His other goal was to have a family. Although, for him right now that goal seemed far off. At one point he was interested in Vera, but he lost interest. Her blunt personality clashed with his own honesty, making him irritated or annoyed towards her. Wren was most closely to what he desired in a mate, as far as qualities went. But she was more like a friend or a sister than a potential romance. He also didn’t want to just pick a she-wolf for the sake of starting a family. He wanted love and compassion, respect and passion, and above all, positive. Adjusting the grip on the deer's limb he let out a tiny, audible sigh. He vaguely wished that Blue Rose hadn’t left but that was so far in the past that the thought almost had him chuckling. Feelings long buried only resurfaced in his time of loneliness. However, turning to look at the group around him, he wasn’t as lonely. Although, he still wished to have a body to lay next to at night and to share his thoughts with, he knew that would come with time and that comforted him a little. Moving his thoughts to productivity. He would request to start having regular sparring sessions with some of the members. Noctis wasn’t weak by far, however, Ozmond's goal as a General was to make sure that all members were able to defend themselves and he would start taking actions in that direction. He hoped he would be able to speak with Luke once they returned. MEL @ ADOXOGRAPHY

At Tampon's remark, Aili merely rolled her eyes up to the sky and settled her gaze on a cloud, ignoring the slightly younger yearling's comment. What, was she not allowed to frown anymore? Her permanent resting bitch face would protest. Really though, Aili tended to not let the stupid comments of others get to her. She had built her own wall around her mind. As they walked towards the hunting grounds, Aili noticed Ozmond approaching her, and furrowed her brows in curiosity and interest as to why the General was approaching her. "If you ever need to vent, or talk, there are several years, mine included, that would listen." Her brows furrow further as she looks at the General. Aili supposed she really wasn't used to check-ins like this, and hearing someone offer an ear or support was something kind of alien to her. Golden gaze on him, she pauses for a bit as she tries to think of a response. Normally, some witty words may produce themselves from her mouth, but this was a kind gesture and Aili did not want to make it seem as though she was ungrateful or refusing to listen. "Thank you, Ozmond. Maybe... we could find a time later," she manages to squeeze out. "I really hope we hunt something youthful," the General states. "Elders always have such a... withered taste," he says, his tone light and obviously indicative of a joke. Aili looks down at her paws and smiles a little, permitting a small chuckle to escape her maw. She felt tight in her chest at the thought of perhaps talking about her emotions with someone and sounding brattish or ungrateful, but felt relieved in the shoulders for some odd reason discerning Ozmond's remark about there being people to listen. She had really doubted anyone would listen, the only people she supposed she was on good terms with in the pack were Wren and perhaps Ozmond. It wasn't that she was on bad terms with anyone else, just that she had never grown close to anyone despite growing up mostly here and having partaken in multiple hunts and scouts. She supposed as she had gotten used to not having much of a social life in the pack, she had gotten used to it. Once they had reached the grounds, Aili turned to her pack mates, ready for the plan, for instructions, for questions about what they should do, etc. She was ready to start, hunting really being the only activity she yearned to do in the pack, excitement already making her paws feel like they were vibrating. @ozmond Hunting Superior Ater Alpha Luke Paladin Zachariah Alphess Wren Warrior Tamlin Salutary HoshiOOC: realized I had never posted that post I wrote up like two weeks ago and realized as I was writing this, I'm sorry lol oof)

General Ozmond of noctis Ozmond was very happy to see Aili opening up to him. Headway finally! A reclusive and solitary member of the pack might finally branch off. He knew the struggles, especially when so much changes so fast. He could remember Fire and Blue Rose, and with their disappearance came quick changes that left him feeling out of place. With time and readjustment he found his place again. A gentle smile on his face as the two entered the hunting grounds. Zach and Tamlin off to one side still chatting, awaiting everyone's arrival. Noticing the change in Aili, he could feel himself also getting excited for the hunt. His tongue swiping his nose quickly as he moved towards Zach. An idea forming in his head. Nodding his head for his friend and fellow warrior to follow. He moved off before speaking, “let's see how well Tamlin does scouting the prey and let's see how well Aili comes up with the plan based off his information, getting them to work together. What do ya think, Zach?” @aili Hunting Superior Ater Paladin Zachariah Warrior Tamlin

It did not take much for the hunting party to reunite. In a flash of an eye, the quintet where on their way to their pack's venatic territories. Zachariah walked alongside Tamlin, whom he'd seen grown throughout these past few months into a physically healthy teenager, almost as tall as he was, but despite how proud he was of that development, the warrior couldn't help but worry for his younger and unexperienced friend. His family's loss was probably a hole that could never be truly covered, but he still had to survive, and isolating himself from the rest was just gonna make things more difficult for the kid. But, Zack knew better than to drop every single issue into the yearling's back, so he'd start small, from the start of the list. Patience. Tam had a bad habit of snapping at the first annoyance, thing that happened with Aili back at the commons. Looking at his friend, the warrior started. "Kid, advice time. Have a little more touch next time around" he stated. "I know Aili's bitch face bugs the hell outta you, it fucks up my mood, too. But trust me, flipping her off won't do any good, not to her, not to you."Making sure to look at the younger male right in the eyes, the eurasian grey continued. "You won't go nowhere pissing or pushing everyone off, kid. Next time, maybe either talk it out with her or, I don't know, maybe...". Zachariah made a pause to think it through, maybe the advice could get to the stubborn teen if he was careful with his words. During the moment of silence however, a female chuckle could be heard from behind them, obviously coming from Aili. "or do whatever Ozmond just pulled off,...".The general nodded at Zack to come with him, it was about time to plan the hunt up. “Let's see how well Tamlin does scouting the prey and let's see how well Aili comes up with the plan based off his information, getting them to work together. What do ya think, Zach?”. Thinking it objectively, it may as well be perfect. They'd give both of the yearlings experience, and time to actually bond while working together. Rather convinient, even. "Sounds great to me, Oz. Maybe we should send Ater alongside Tam to scout, for safety." said the warrior, trying his best not to sound too soft nor like he didn't trust that the teenager could accomplish the goal on his own accord, but working together with even more than one wolf at the time could be beneficial for the rather insolated fellow. "Once they get back with the data and Aili forms the plan up, we polish any rough edges and then we dinner. Sounds good?" Hunting Superior Ater @aili @ozmond Warrior Tamlin

Like a shadow, Tamlin entered the common grounds. He didn't make his presence known to anything around him, didn't stick out like some bright spark in the snow. The only one he tolerated walking beside him was Zach, and thankfully he had remained silent the entire time. However, with a plan now needing development, his maw would have to open sooner or later. It seemed that the only option was 'sooner' as the warrior beside him piped up, "Kid, advice time. Have a little more touch next time around. I know Aili's bitch face bugs the hell outta you, it fucks up my mood, too. But trust me, flipping her off won't do any good, not to her, not to you. You won't go nowhere pissing or pushing everyone off, kid. Next time, maybe either talk it out with her or, I don't know, maybe... do whatever Ozmond just pulled off..." The useless sound of Aili's chuckle was alien to him. The only emotions that the other yearling had really expressed in his presence was distaste and annoyance. and Tamlin didn't want to actually interact much with her anyway to that was fine by him. Giving the amber warrior a blank stare and a tiny nod, Tamlin remained silent. There were more important matters at hand, ones like the General's question for his friend, "Let's see how well Tamlin does scouting the prey and let's see how well Aili comes up with the plan based off his information, getting them to work together. What do ya think, Zach?” Ugh. Forcing the two yearlings to work together was like trying to put two similar poles together on a magnet. It wouldn't work. Surely with the assistance of every other wolf present, the gap between them would be filled and the hunt would likely go well. But the likelihood that either of them would become less stubborn and cow-ish was unlikely. Tamlin almost wanted to simply leave from the get-go, but Zach beginning to speak stalled him, "Sounds great to me, Oz. Maybe we should send Ater alongside Tam to scout, for safety. Once they get back with the data and Aili forms the plan up, we polish any rough edges and then we dinner. Sounds good?"The ornery teen shot Zachariah a scowl. He didn't need a babysitter, he wasn't some pup wandering through the hunting grounds about to be clocked in the head by a rogue deer hoof. And once again it seemed that Zach wanted him to work with Aili despite having seen them butt heads already. With a small huff, Tamlin turned away from the group and towards the strongest scent of deer, not waiting for Ater to catch up. Sharp jade eyes scanned the frozen landscape for the beige forms he was so accustomed to seeing littered throughout this area of the territory. Spotting the small herd, Tamlin made sure that he was downwind as he camouflaged himself back into the snow. Their numbers had fallen due to the pack hunting them and breeding season coming up, so Tamlin wanted to make sure he found a doe that was barely needed by the herd. One that was older would be best for the herd, but Oz had been complaining to his new least favourite yearling that the older does always tasted a little withered. Keeping that in mind, he singled out a young doe, not quite breeding age but large enough that it would provide the pack with a hearty meal. Keeping an eye out for how close to the buck she stayed, Tamlin decided that the doe would be the best target. As he approached the group again, at last, the yearling broke his silence, "There's a small herd of deer a short distance west. Currently, we're downwind of them but winter winds are volatile and can change at any time. If we keep conscious of that we'll be fine. There's a young doe that we can target and a few older ones as well. Aili, go for it." Relaying all of the information he gathered to his unwilling counterpart, the yearling fell silent once more. Ater followed to the hunting grounds, almost silent as she felt like she was walking a little too far behind the group. But who cared? It seemed like they had mostly forgotten that she was there. Looking towards the yearlings as they fought, she simply rolled her eyes. They needed to learn to work together, especially since they were going to be hunting together. But, what would she know? Yearlings never listened to wolves that gave them advice, as they thought they knew everything. So she would simply watch them fail, and then realize that the adults were indeed right about what they were saying. She knew that this hunt would potentially end in failure, or something gone wrong, especially with the two being set up by Zachariah to do most of the planning for the hunt. Giving a inquisitive look towards the male, she wondered what his plan of attack was. Was he trying to get them to cooperate so that they could see they worked better as a unit instead of by themselves? Her thoughts were short-lived as they seemed to remember she was there.
She was instructed to go with the yearling, Tamlin to be exact, to scout out the herd and pick which one they were to eat. Ozmond made the comment of not wanting anything old because it tasted withered, but beggars couldn’t be choosers. The male would have to put up with whatever they were able to find that would be huntable. It was winter, and being picky would only lead to empty stomachs. Bringing herself to Tamlin’s side, she felt rather annoyed that he didn’t want her coming with. She would be able to offer him help if he really wanted to stick it to Aili. But Ater simply fell silent, following behind the male as he walked. She couldn’t see any predators in the area, but she dreaded the idea of encountering one. Bears were hibernating this time of year, especially if they were looking to breed come spring. They didn’t need to worry about those thankfully, but there were other predators that didn’t hibernate that were more than willing to disrupt a hunt going on. Tamlin seemed to swiftly choose his target, and headed back to the others, reporting what he found to the she-wolf that was to direct their plans.
Ater came up silently next to Zachariah, waiting with keen ears to hear the she-wolf’s plan. Hopefully she would take what he said into account and actually create a well formulated plan based on what he gave her, which simply wasn’t much. There was more to it than finding a target. Where was the buck? Would the position of the female potentially put them in danger of encountering the male leader of the herd? They needed to keep this things in mind when they came up with a plan, but she would patiently wait and see what the young she-wolf had to say.
OOC: PLEASE READ The hunt will be successful, but there will be a small predator that intervenes. It won't cause much damage, just something to shake things up!

General Ozmond of noctis As Tamlin spoke his analysis was good but a second pair of eyes would have been nice. The yearling could have easily missed several major points of scouting prey, the most important if there had been any signs of predators. Of course being on pack lands most predators stayed away, but with winter on them predators became desperate would slink onto their land. The second being, where was the buck? With young does around it would make sense for them to be guarded by a male. Oz looked to his two experienced companions and wondered if their minds went to the same concerns. Tamlin was smart but he was cocky and impatient, which would be his failings unless he took what others said into consideration. In no way had their suggestions been over stepping any boundaries or was wrongfully thought. Tamlin and Aili were still in training, therefore they still needed to be tested and observed by others. Oz planned to do more training after the hunt, unless Luke had other plans. Flicking his tail he looked to Aili who was thinking of a plan. Thought before action was a good sign, however, how she decided to use their strengths and weaknesses would be the real test. Each one here had different set of skills and abilities, their placements would be integral for the success of the hunt. He looked over to Zach to see if he could guess what the other male was thinking. Warrior Tamlin @aili Hunting Superior Ater Paladin Zachariah

”Let’s see how well Tamlin does scouting the prey and let’s see how well Aili comes up with the plan based off his information. What do ya think, Zach?” Ozmond starts. ”Sounds great, Oz,” Zachariah concurs. ”Maybe we should send Ater alongside Tam to scout, for safety. Once they get back with the data and Aili forms the plan up, we polish any rough edges and then we dinner. Sounds good?” All the while her superiors talk, Aili is slowly and rhythmically nodding her head, taking in what they are saying. She was very excited that it seemed she was being given more training and power in hunting, what with them allowing her to help formulate a plan. Slightly jittery with the excitement, she shifts her weight a bit, little sparks of eagerness shooting off in her paws. As it is planned for Ater to go along with Tamlin, Aili notices Tamlin scowl at Zachariah, but she looks away as if she didn’t see. She didn’t know why the male was so… touchy, it seemed, but she didn’t want to piss him off any more. They were all going to need to work together for this hunt and Aili wanted it to be successful. While Aili’s feelings towards Tamlin were a little wary she would forgo that to make this hunt so. Tamlin huffs and hurries off without waiting for his scouting partner to catch up. Soon enough, they return to regroup and Tamlin gives the report. ”There’s a small herd of deer a short distance west. Currently, we’re downwind of them but the winter winds are volatile and can change at any time. If we keep conscious of that we’ll be fine. There’s a young doe we can target and a few older ones as well. Aili, go for it.” She gives him a short nod, and thinks for a brief couple of seconds before having her idea formulated in her head. Ater and Zach were more suited in their builds and skills for probably taking down the doe with force, but they would need to separate it first. Aili was fast, she could be one of the runners, and so could Tamlin, who was also probably one of the better choices for this position. Ozmond was well-rounded, and could probably be used to further direct the doe to Ater and Zach and help them take it down. ”I think we should go after the doe, old enough so that she isn’t being hounded by a mother and young enough so that others wouldn’t care about her so much as a fertile adult. We’re going to need to separate her, though, which I think Tamlin and I should do. It shouldn’t take many wolves to get her running. Ater and Zach, we can direct her over to you to start taking her down, and Ozmond can be placed just a little before you so he can ensure she is headed in the right direction and can help start the take-down. When we get to the herd, we can choose where everyone will go, as we need to watch for the winds and how they change, like Tamlin said,” she says, dipping her head a bit towards her companion and gazing at each wolf as she discussed their role she thought would suit them. She directs her tuscany gaze to Zach and Ozmond, her superiors, waiting for them to remark on the plan and make any changes that need be. For once, the female’s resting bitch face seemed to be erased, and her face was almost elated, as her excitement for the hunt instead occupied her body. @ozmond Paladin Zachariah Hunting Superior Ater Warrior Tamlin
