Before Basil had really managed to get the words out Baron smirked answering quickly "Of course you can tag along Basil, I wouldn't want Lysic to feel like a third wheel." Hazel eyes looked nervously between the fiery, red beta and the black delta, “Uhhhh….” The black female’s mouth was agape with some shock, “I mean, thank you for letting me tag along Baron, but I didn’t know you were considering this a date, I mean I just thought we were all friends.” The black ears atop her head laid back nervously as she licked her lips, “But I guess it only counts as a date if we say it’s one, right? I mean us going on a date, that's a funny idea isn't it?” Basil’s hazel eyes focused on Lysic wide and questioning, she doubted he liked her like that, they were just friends, at least that was what they had been saying they were for a while now, anything more would be ridiculous to consider, Basil was nothing, Lysic would gain nothing from being with her so thinking he would want to go on a date with her was laughable at best, and downright insane at the worst. She had to admit they had gotten closer over the last few months while Lysic was busy becoming the beta and Basil was trying to become a better hunter and settle into her role in the pack. And, she couldn’t deny that Lysic was obviously a handsome wolf, but it was still ridiculous to think that Lysic would ever think of her like that, they were just friends of course, right? Salutary Snow Rose
Pretty brown eyes and a mind full of thoughts
Apart from the occurrence of the wildfire that had devastated the lands—Lubrusca had always been a peaceful and harmonious place filled with kind wolves who's hearts all glowed with purpose. This morning was no different. The whether was absolutely perfect, with budding flowers dotting the grass trying their very best to reach those gorgeous rays of golden sunlight, while the furry inhabitants of the countless different nooks of crannies were all beginning to stretch their legs and greet the morning. Birds were singing, squirrels were racing each other along the branches, mice were scurrying through the undergrowth, and of course, the wolves were beginning their day.
A familiar ivory coat entered her peripherals. Snow Rose turned her creamy head to watch as Maddox approached, his tongue lolling out of his maw while his tail swayed quite comfortably in his wake before he rolled onto his back on the ground in front of his feat. A smile brightened the Salutary's features at the playful and carefree actions of her young apprentice. “Good morning Rosie!” The youngling chirped quite happily. “What are we doing today? Are we gonna learn more stuff? I want to show you how much I worked on memorizing herbs! Of course, we could always just take a stroll through the territory. That sounds like a bunch of fun as well!”
Snow Rose chuckled, glad to see that Maddox was so eager to spend the day with her. "Well, why not do both? We can take a stroll to the borders, there'll be plenty of herbs growing around there at this time of the year and you can show me what you've learned." She suggested, tilting her head slightly as she rose to her paws, looking down at Maddox before lifting a paw and gently poking his nose. "C'mon then, let's go! We don't want to waste a single second on a beautiful day like this!" She sang before turning towards the borders and beginning on their wonderfully peaceful stroll.

A wolfish grin spread across handsome features as his words seemed to settle in Basil's head, he could only tell due to the expression that slowly spread on he features. He had called it a date yes. But he was certain he was not mistaken in assuming how Lysic felt about the pretty, dainty hunter. The was he would stammer, how his ears would droop, his sudden uncertainty, he was like a love sick puppy and the Delta couldn't help but find it amusing to tease his friend. “But I guess it only counts as a date if we say it’s one, right? I mean us going on a date, that's a funny idea isn't it?” Bright amber eyes moved between Basil, then to Lysic as Baron continued to wear his smile, he had played his card, much to Basil's supposed surprise, he was surprised she hadn't already assumed Lysic was interested in her. Baron gave a deep yet amused chuckle as he saw Basil's eyes widen with what seemed like surprise and wonder, as if she thought she was incapable of being someones crush, completely caught unaware. "You can call it whatever you want, I'm going to call it being hungry and trying to convince you both to join." They had certainly all grown close enough over the last new months, wanting to go on a hunting party together was not a strange thing, he was simply playing it off in hopes of trying to gain his best friend a mate, Lysic deserved to be happy, Baron was more than willing to play his semi-oblivious yet entirely confident wingman. "I suppose it was a funny idea." He chuckles, then turns to Lysic, wondering what he wanted to do about the ever increasing number of pack mates that wanted to come on their hunt with them. "What do you say Lysic?"

As the hunting superior approached the growing group of prospective Lubruscan hunters, his ears caught only the tail end of the conversation. Basil babbling something about a date, Baron with a playful knowing smirk on his face, and Parker was left completely out of the loop. If he were younger, he would have butted in instantly, wanting to know everything that had happened in his absence. However, with maturity came wisdom. While the blond male would've loved to know what the Delta was smirking about, he was content simply looking towards Lysic for any input on whether or not his help was needed. In the space between his arrival and the Beta's decision, Parker turned his grey gaze back towards his sweetheart. He wondered what Macha was going to do in the time he was gone, if he left at all. The youngest member of the pack, Keala, wasn't a mere pup anymore. Macha's role as a temporary Guardian wasn't going to get utilized any time soon. He hoped that she would have some fun at least. "Uhhhh... We-We'll go out to the outskirts, check the place around. See if we find something or someone. Maybe find a place to take a nap?" Hydran's response, even with his slight delay, was enough to send Milo's tail into a frenzy again. A bright smile sprung onto the young scout's face at the prospect of getting to do his job with one of the most fun wolves in Lubrusca. Hydran was obviously still not fully settled into his role as the Sentinel, but it didn't matter much to Milo. He just wanted to know if the other scout was going to join them. His little sister, however, was over talking with Nascha and looking like she wanted to join the hunt. What a traitor! To be a scout but to ditch their valiant mission to find a good place to nap for a hunt! He almost couldn't believe that he was related to such treachery. Alas, a napping place was in need of finding. Turning back to Hydran, Milo piped up, "Sounds great! Lead on!"Sentinel Hydran

Lysic’s one eye looked to Baron, the black male seemingly having some thoughts running through his head as he stood there in front of the two wolves currently pressed up against each other. That was when he heard the voice of the she-wolf that had captured every part of his heart. Basil. He gave her a soft smile, not noticing that her tail wagged as she had greeted them. The young male admired the features upon her face, the ebony fur that framed her face so perfectly, and hazel eyes that he could get lost in. As he lost himself in admiring her, he had forgotten all about the two wolves that were currently there with them. His sister hadn’t said anything, only an amused look on her face as she watched him. The one eyed male gave her a small frown, and then turned towards Baron, the frown only coming more so on his face at the comment he made. A third wheel eh? Lysic was about to retort to Baron, but the male silenced himself as he heard Basil speak up. Red ears were immediately focused in on her and what she was saying. With her words, he felt his heart sink. She thought it was crazy that they would go on a date. The red lupine pressed one ear to the back of his head, amber eye looking to the ground as his cloudy one stayed placed where it was, not moving at all as he blinked a couple times. There was no way after that, that Basil would be interested in him. Especially if what she said were true. Them going together as more than friends, it didn’t seem like it was going to happen as the words came right from her mouth. The young male wanted to whine and head to the borders, get away from the tension filled air that surrounded him as he looked back up to Baron, feeling the male trying to lighten the mood. “I think there are enough wolves to go on the hunt,” He mumbled, gesturing to the others. “I think I’ll go ahead and scout the borders,” The male looked with his one eye to his best friend, and then to his sister, who got up suddenly and went off in the direction of their mother. He presumed she had something to speak with her about. He sighed, and without looking towards Basil, the young male headed off and away, towards the borders where he knew that he was going to probably be alone for awhile, unless someone should follow him. -Exit to Border Outskirts- Delta Baron Hunter Devika @basil

| Alphess Ventus of Lubrusca | Ventus watched her eldest son, he was fitting so naturally into his position as Beta, already instigating a hunt, and proposing to bring others along. Many had already flocked to his idea, encircling him. It seemed however, that her son was only focused on one she-wolf. Basil, one of Dante’s children. It was amusing to see her son acting that way. Devika wasn’t too far behind, cuddled up to Baron after the night they had spent together. Love was finding itself in her pups’ hearts for the first time and she could only hope that they would not live through what she had. Losing two mates, children and finally settling with someone who wouldn’t leave her. She wanted them to be happy the moment they set eyes on the wolf they wished to be with forever. But there was no telling what the world had in store for them.
She turned towards Mochi as he boasted about Lysic, a smile placed on her lips once more instead of the small frown that had formed from the recurring thoughts of her children reliving what she had through their own eyes. “He’s going to be a great leader when he becomes Alpha,” She sighed, looking towards Mochi as she pressed into him. “I think we should oversee how Hydran’s doing. I need an excuse for spending some time with that little energetic furball,” She mused, looking towards her biggest pup as he was headed towards the borders. “You might want to wake Keala, she’s been sleeping far too long,” Ventus said before trotting after her son, not noticing that both Devika and Fenrir were not present in the commons anymore.

Maddox"Maybe our future's so bright it fucking burns like a Wildfire." Maddox looked to Snow Rose, listening to her intently as his cream face was only focused on her, not turning at all to see what the others were doing. He wouldn’t be able to join then anyways. He had devoted himself to learning herbs, and although his father had taught him some self defense maneuvers so that he could protect himself - or Snow - if it came down to it, he preferred to simply spend the day with her and not a bunch of rowdy teenagers trying to get their energy out. He loved all of his siblings and packmates, but the boundless energy that Maddox held could only ever be focused on one thing in order for him to get anything done. Instead of hyper focusing on hunting or fighting like some of his siblings had, the young male had chosen the path that most weren’t likely to take due to the extensive knowledge needed, and the patience to acquire it. But Maddox could only be that much more perfect for the job. He never gave up until he knew everything, and he was enthusiastic the entire time.
Fenrir however, was the exact opposite. He didn’t seem too focused on his journey through the herbal field, instead longing to be running with his siblings on a hunt. The male had seemed a little less than happy about the whole thing, and Maddox could only wonder why. He was so gloomy all the time when Snow or Maddox would try to have fun with him, and even if Maddox tried cheering him up, the male simply pushed him away. He guessed that it could only be because of what had happened to his family, but Fenrir - from what Maddox had heard - was much too young to even remember that.
The male was nowhere to be found, and as his attention had been taken away from Snow Rose for just a moment, her paw had found its paw to poking the end of his nose, his attention focused once more on her. As he listened to her, he scrambled to his feet quickly, almost tripping and falling over once more before he was able to walk alongside her, ready to begin their day of herb hunting at the borders. He wanted to show her everything he had learned!

“He’s going to be a great leader when he becomes Alpha,” Ventus sighed contentedly, wistfully considering it. Prospects like that lay well into the future, but the day would come when they wouldn’t be able to rule any longer — it lay in all their best interests to assure Lysic was performing at his absolute best. His siblings too showed promise, and Keala seemed determined to follow in the exact pawsteps of her oldest brother Lysic. Even in early puphood, she’d been resolved to match him pace-for-pace, a characteristic that continued well into adolescence. Nowadays, she peppered him, Ventus, anyone with a lick of knowledge for advice, head-set on knowing all there was to know. At this pace, it seemed they’d soon have to approach her for tips. “I think we should oversee how Hydran’s doing.” Ventus mused, trotting off tenderly. “I need an excuse for spending some time with that little energetic furball.” Mochi huffed, thinking wistfully back to the times when Hydran had been little more than the size of his paws — even then, he had somehow hosted relentless energy. It was only fitting he’d been made a Sentinel. “You might want to wake Keala; she’s been sleeping far too long.” Mochi chuffed. Why, she’d stayed up late again, no question — he’d warned her already that she’d never be able to conquer the world without a good night’s rest! Rolling his eyes lightheartedly, he loped towards the spot where he knew she’d elected to settle down in. “Keala,” he sang haplessly, toying with the pitch. “Rise and shine lovely; morning’s passing. This is the third time this week. If you don’t start getting to bed at a reasonable hour, Ventus just might have to drag you back to sleep in our den. Wouldn’t want that now, would you?” He teased. “I believe your brother Lysic is beginning to organize a hunt — already know that you’d hate to miss out.” Alphess Ventus Keala

“Keala.” The sing-song rhythm of her name pulled the young warrior out of her deep sleep. She blinked, disoriented for a moment until her orange eyes refocused and she recognized the figure of her father standing over her. “Rise and shine, lovely, morning’s passing.” “Hmm?” Keala glanced up at the sun; it did seem to be higher in the sky than it should have been. “Oh. I didn’t know I’d slept that long!” She stood up, stretching out her forelegs to shake off the last fogginess of sleep. “Guess I was a bit more tired than I thought after last night.” She’d stayed up far past the usual hour, working on her after-dark tracking skills- something she’d done quite often in the last few days. “This is the third time this week,” Mochi replied. “If you don’t start getting to bed at a reasonable hour, Ventus might just have to drag you back to sleep in our den. Wouldn’t want that now, would you?” Keala grinned, knowing he was only teasing her. “Don’t even try it,” she said playfully. “I’ll start tossing and turning so much that you and Mom won’t sleep a wink.” Mochi did have a good point, though. She needed to start getting a little more rest, especially now that she was an official warrior. She’d have to make sure she was asleep at a reasonable hour tonight. She pricked up her ears at her father’s next words. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d taken part in a hunt, and she always welcomed the chance to spend more time with Lysic. “They’d better not leave without me!” she exclaimed. Giving a small, affectionate lick to her father’s cheek, she darted off into the heart of the commons. She saw the hunting party right away. A substantial number of wolves had gathered for the task, from hunters like Basil and Devika to the Hunting Superior, Parker. But there was no sign of Lysic anywhere. He was the one organizing the hunt, wasn’t he? He should have been there to keep an eye on things. It was strange that he’d disappeared. But then again, maybe it wasn’t. Lysic’s new position as the Lubruscan beta gave him a whole host of new responsibilities. In all likelihood some other task had called him elsewhere. Keala put the problem out of her mind and trotted up to the wolf who would likely lead the hunt in her half-brother’s place, Baron, the delta. “Room for one more?” she queried. “I’d love a chance to improve my hunting skills a little.” @mochi Beta Lysic Delta Baron OOC: Hope you guys like it and I did everything correctly! Hydran watched as Milo's face lit up in excitement, caused by either the emotion of doing his assigned duties or prospect of finding a new napping spot. Either way, the scout seemed pleased with the admittedly awkward proposition, thing which increased the new Sentinel's confidence. "Sounds great! Lead on!" said Milo excitedly, wagging his light brown tail around madly. The image of a 3'4, fully grown wolf acting as excited as a puppy was enough to bring Hydran to chuckle, as he started to walk towards the outskirts. Out the corner of his eye though, the young adult saw something coming, getting closer by the second. Partially turning his head around, he quickly managed to identify it, or rather her. What is mom doing here?

His sister's cheeky response about Mochi's comment brought a smile to the young warrior's face. He hadn't hunted in a while, and truly, he'd rather be with his father learning how to fight and defend Lubrusca. He'd grown up on tales. Horrible tales of war and fire and loss. He wanted to make sure that his family never had to face that again. But, the pack had to eat if they were going to keep getting stronger, so helping out with a hunt was the least that Nascha could do. As the pair of siblings approached, Lysic departed towards the borders. The young male didn't step in to question him. Instead, his eyes strayed towards Parker and Baron, seeing who would take charge of the hunt in Lysic's absence. Delta Baron Scout Cecilia @basil

Black ears pinned back slightly as Lysic seemed to freeze up at his comment to Basil, in his attempt at being a wingman, Baron had accidentally embarrassed Lysic in front of the hunter he had developed a massive crush on. His amber eyes followed his fiery pelted best friend as he took his exit, making mental note to apologize to him later and better explain his intentions, he simply wanted to see Lysic and Basil together happily as any friend would, their collective awkwardness did not help however. He wondered if the task he had donned was impossible, or if he needed to resort to more sneaky advances, laying flowers on her den and blaming Lysic, or leaving her a rabbit..he was not one to ever give up, even if his friend was too awkward to get himself a date. With that final thought Baron turned his gaze to the small band of pack mates who had gathered before he, previously Lysic, at the mere mention of a hunt, he would keep them waiting no longer, the prey would not wait, it made no sense that they would. "In Lysic's absence I take it upon myself to lead the hunt." He said in his usual deep yet confident tone. "For all that wish to attend, follow me to the hunting grounds." He instructed, addressing Keala's question with a nod before turning his head and padding off in the direction of the hunting grounds, knowing that a decent number of his pack would more than likely follow him, they had mouths to feed afterall.

By making Hydran laugh, Milo instantly looked forward to the trip to the borders even more. The scout considered the newly anointed Sentinel as a friend, and the pair of them heading to the borders was sure to be a blast! However, as the yearling pranced over to the borders, excited to find a new napping hole, the tangerine form of Ventus following the pair caught his eye. What was she doing? Did that mean that he actually had to do real scouting? It definitely wouldn't mean a good opportunity for napping, but maybe he could actually find something interesting at the borders for once! -Exit to Lubrusca Borders- Sentinel Hydran Alphess Ventus

Cecilia was happy to have her brother tag along, and gave an excited head bob towards her sister Basil. Although, a dismisal flick of a tail had her eyes following the frame of Lysic. She gave a confused look towards her sister, and for a brief moment wondered if she should suggest that Basil follow the beta. They had become close friends, hadn't they? Although before she had much of a chance, the topic of the hunt had rolled around once more. Baron taking position as the hunting leader now that Lysic had departed. As he gathered them up to roll out, Cecilia piqued up seeing that Parker had yet to pass along information. "I saw," she started quietly, before trying to say it a little louder to the moving figure, "white-tail deer herd yesterday in the northern section of the hunting grounds." She really wasn't sure if Baron had heard. She'll soon learn once they're in the hunting grounds.
