Twizzle
"Go help Rain and Eleven." The cream male choked out to the chocolate wolf. Twizzle frowned and opened his mouth to speak but the male collapsed. Twizzle stood right where he was, knowing that Rowan would soon loose consciousness. As soon as he did, Twizzle would leave to find help.
Twizzle took a moment to let himself breathe as he watched Rowan’s body slump, his legs were bruised and scratched but not at all badly and certainly not anything as bad as the others’ wounds. After his moment of resting, he righted his bent form and began to speak toward the others but the scent of another wolf approaching them shut the chocolate male up quickly as his ebony masked head spun toward where the scent had come from. Twizzle watched as an angelic white wolf entered the group, her gaze focused on Rowan’s form.
"Oh dear,” Twizzle felt a rumble wanting to rise in his throat as she inspected the body but the thought that she might know something about healing crossed his mind so instead he merely kept slightly tensed in case he felt she got too nosey. "Pleasure to meet you all, my name is Snow Rose~." She had a musical voice that calmed Twizzle’s nerves and he relaxed, moving to sit beside his sister. He had full confidence that she would do the right thing as she began to work away with herbs to help Rowan’s wounds.
Eventually Twizzle laid down, crossing his front paws and laying his head upon his ash socked paws. He watched with his yellow ochre gaze what went on and listened to the voices silently as the others spoke and Rain and Wingnut were also helped.
"No problem~ I'm glad to have met you all, and given you my services. You certainly seem like a nice bunch of folk." The she-wolf, who was known as Snow Rose, spoke and interrupted his hazy thoughts. He watched as the cute little pup brought a pretty flower up to the she-wolf and gave it to her which made both Snow Rose and Twizzle smile. "Thank you." She spoke softly to Snow Rose. “It's very pretty, almost as pretty as yourself. Thank you." Snow Rose then turned to the rest of them and spoke once more in her sing-song voice. "I-if you all don't mind, I'd like to stay with you overnight, just to make sure that the male's state of health doesn't deteriorate overnight." Twizzle nodded, his face having gone back to emotionless.
After the others had spoken, Twizzle sat up and voiced his thoughts at last. "Thank you for your service to us Snow Rose. I know everyone here thoroughly appreciates everything you have done for Rowan and our group."

Elspeth had slunk from the mud of the pines only to wind up deep in the mud of the brush. A snarl seemed to form across the she wolf's maw, twisting it into an unpleasant snark. The scent of wolf seemed to reverberate through her, now flared, nostrils as she determinedly attempted to put one paw before the other. The mud clung to her fur in a most unpleasant manner, seeming to weigh her down as if she were carrying a wolf upon her back when it was, of course, just her own lean body dragging itself across the murky underbrush. She could feel what fur didn't seem to be weighed down, cling to the underbrush, leaving her pelt askew as if she had spent the last week rolling in the filth.
She huffed heavily as, at last, her paws seemed to scrap across solid, or as solid as one could find, ground. She was able to lift herself from the deep mud she had wound up in, and begin towards the scent of the wolves she had immediately discovered. There was silence in the way she moved despite her heavy paws, almost as if she were nothing more than a mouse scurrying to safety, but the sensitive ears of a wolf would eventually pick up on her movements, for her fur still tugged at branches, rustling the underbrush, and her fur still seemed to make a slight slop noise every time the fur moved. She scowled at her own body, the way it seemed so different from just moments before. Where she once tasted fresh squirrel upon her jaw she now tasted the tang of mud and must from the mud that had slipped into her maw. With so much blocking her most needed senses, she found it hard to place the location of the wolves.
As she sauntered forward, voices eventually began to caress her inner ear lobe, reverberating through her brain, leaving nothing to the imagination. She walked until their forms seemed to shimmy out of the underbrush before crouching down, her belly fur dragging almost silently across the ground. Her yellow pierced the brush until she was able to see the wolves without being seen herself. Her hackles rose as the wind shifted, and not in her favor, for it carried her scent to the wolves that stood just beyond. Noticing the fallen comrade of theirs, she felt even more uneasy, for nothing was more dangerous than a wolf, defending its companions. Though they were not pack wolves the same sense of loyalty seemed to fall on any wolf who formed a strong bond, and Elspeth was unaware of the closeness of this group.

Rowan "Do not judge my story by the chapter you walked in on." The beast's body was growing heavy and sluggish as the remedies given to him had set in to their fullest extent. Rowan blinked as he felt the pain of each wound begin to fade away into a void of numbness, though he kept his mind as far away as possible from the haze of sleep that beckoned. "Rowan!" A sudden chime of vocal bells caught his attention, his large cranium shifting to see the smaller figure of Eleven being the owner of such an upbeat tone. It honestly surprised the male to hear her talk, though it was an indication that the youngling was happy, healthy and relaxed in the company of himself and the healer. Rowan shifted a fore-limb to make room for Eleven to lay, her small frame settling into his thick fur as her body acted like a hot-water bottle to his blood-deprived body. Rowan couldn't help but smile as he watched the girl burrow her nose into his pelt as if she were seeking his protective comfort. It was nice to see that he was doing something right for once by providing Eleven an environment in which she could be safe...as long as they stayed far away from the damn buck.
Rowan suddenly realised that he needed to force himself to stay awake and alert for his group, keeping his ears sharp as he caught the request of Snow Rose. "I-if you all don't mind, I'd like to stay with you overnight, just to make sure that the male's state of health doesn't deteriorate overnight." Rowan blinked again, taking a few seconds to let her question be processed by his slowed train of thought. Of course there was no doubt that the she-wolf had proved herself to be trustworthy and helpful, but he became worried at the thought of having to feed several full-grown wolves--including Eleven, who probably needed the nutrition more than anyone else. But Rowan found himself being answered for before he could open his mouth, Rain being the one to step in and give the healer an answer. "I think that would be very much welcome Snow Rose. You're not the only one who's worried about him. The buck did some damage for sure and none of us know anything about healing. Thank you, again."
Rowan felt a growl bubbling up through his chest, the low grumbling accompanied by a small snarl and furrowing of his brows directed towards Rain. He shifted his body slightly, but not enough to disturb Eleven as he slung a forelimb over her body, a small assurance to the girl that she didn't have to worry if he had accidentally spooked her with his act of dominance. Rowan quickly moved on from his protective gesture, instead making sure to stare the she-wolf directly in the iris as he subconsciously took her responce as an insult to his ability to still lead. "Rain, I appreciate your concern for my health, but I am still perfectly capable of making decisions." There was no doubt that his words were somewhat harsh, but he did not waste much time giving Rain his stern reminder. Rowan instead shifted his grey gaze to look at Snow Rose. "If you are want to stay with us for the night, I'm afraid you'll have to pitch in even more than you already have by helping to provide some kind of meal for the group," He suddenly looked to Twizzle as he spoke. "If you're feeling up to the task, Twizzle, I would like you to go with her. Some hares, quails or squirrels should do." Rowan stated with a firm nod. Despite his recent attitude, he would not ever force Twizzle to hunt if he had not recovered from their last.
The rustling of foliage and the sudden appearance of a foreign scent was the next issue to catch the beast's attention, bringing his nose to rise into the air as his hackles prickled along his neck. A hostile intruder was the last thing they needed right now. If anyone else was attacked or injured it would possibly mean that they would turn into a band of cripples and no-goods. He furrowed his brows yet again, his forelimb over Eleven suddenly coiling a bit tighter as he sought to shield her from any kind of possibility that could emerge. "Who's there!?" Rowan called gruffly, his voice almost straining under the pressure of the numbed pain that still lingered over his body. "Show yourself!" His remaining eye flickered in anticipation.

The surrounding sounds were muffled, her ears not computing the words that a musical voice sang. The haze that she had slipped in to had shut off most of her protective instincts, but hearing a growl that seemed to be Rowan's snapped her hazy eyes open as fast as they could. She didn't know what had happened, but she wasn't going to let something else attack them. The first words that Rowan spoke were muffled. All that the chocolate she-wolf caught was something about Rain and decision making. His second set of words were a little bit easier to comprehend, "If you are want to stay with us for the night, I'm afraid you'll have to pitch in even more than you already have by helping to provide some kind of meal for the group. If you're feeling up to the task, Twizzle, I would like you to go with her. Some hares, quails or squirrels should do." Wingnut hummed absentmindedly; her brain still foggy from her nap. It was good that Rowan had accepted her brother, giving him a job was proof of that. She wanted the fog in her brain to vanish instantly when she caught the foreign scent in the air; however, that was not to be, as her brain still held a whisp of sleepiness. "Who's there!? Show yourself!" Rowan called out from his position on the ground. At least he was trying, but there was no way that he, Rain, or Eleven, would deal with the scent so she took the responsibility on herself. Hoisting herself up with little pain, as the poppy seeds were still in effect, the chocolate female thrashed her tail from side to side, balancing herself before she stalked forwards slightly, heading into the breeze as the scent was strongest. Her chest was a horrible blueish purple, the bruise showing obviously even though her pelt was dark. It was obviously painful, but she wanted, no, needed to protect her pack. She spotted the source of the scent nearby, an inky she-wolf that was covered in mud. She must have come from the Pines, Wingnut mused, recalling a time where her own coat was stained by the mud. Knowing that Rowan could definitely still see her, Wingnut only raised her tail to a point that was nearly level with the rest of her spine. Shoving her ears forwards, Wingnut called out with a growl hinted in her voice in her regular monotonous tones, "What is your business here?" This rogue had better answer either immediately or soon after. Though she was injured, Wingnut would not hesitate to dispatch a threat to the group. @elspeth @rain @eleven Alpha Rowan Salutary Snow Rose @twizzle @miraa?

The ebony she wolf flicked her ears forward just as the first wolf caught her scent. She sank lower to the ground, her black pelt shifting in the shadows until she seemed to all but disappear. However, her technique was no good when approached by the chocolate wolf. The she wolfs chest was bruised, and obviously sore. It was clear in both the looks as well as the gait of the she wolf. However, injured or not, this wolf seemed to carry an air of dominance, further confirmed with her shoved ears and stiff tail as she spoke to Elspeth.
Though initially Elspeth resisted, she at last pushed herself to her paws, her tail somewhat tucked between her legs, her ears hanging limp to the side. Though not submission it was enough to retain a non threatening posture. Elspeth tilted her head to.the side before speaking I'm no threat, merely interested is all. I could see you were injured from a short distance away. Perhaps the openness of the area is not the greatest place for, said injury. I won't harm you, I could try to help" she offered her assistance with a flick of her tail. She would not submit to the female for it was not in the rogue she wolfs blood, but she could behavw civilly for that could not be wrong of her, right? She tilted her head up to the she wolf, shaking the drying mud from her pelt, the scent of blood from her kill still clinging to her muzzle.

Eleven paid no mind to Rain's response once she gave the okay for the angelic healer to stay, but Rowan was a different story on the other hand. The small she-wolf felt the larger sandy form beside her rumble with a growl towards Rain, and El's large ears flattened against her skull. Her slight startled action wasn't prolonged though as Rowan slug a limb over her frame as an act of reassurance and the younger was all too happy to snuggle back into his pelt. "Rain, I appreciate your concern for my health, but I am still perfectly capable of making decisions." Eleven turned to Rowan, a little concerned at his harsh words. Then again anyone would be pretty cranky with a missing eye, a busted leg and several stab wounds... "If you are want to stay with us for the night, I'm afraid you'll have to pitch in even more than you already have by helping to provide some kind of meal for the group, if you're feeling up to the task, Twizzle, I would like you to go with her. Some hares, quails or squirrels should do."Eleven felt a slight pang of guilt in her chest. The kid didn't even have a scratch on her yet here she was being babied. She wanted to help out and pull her own weight, do her best for this group. But as the same time, conflict pulled at her, she didn't want to leave Rowan - not like this anyway, even if it were for hunting. She supposed she could ask... Her thoughts were interrupted by a rustle of the shrubs. Eleven felt Rowan tense beside her and she quickly did the same. Another scent had drifted their way and Eleven was determined not to let anyone else get hurt. "Who's there!? Show yourself!" Rowan called. Eleven wiggled from under Rowan's sandy limb, shimmying backwards until she broke free of his grasp. Soon after, Wingnut joined the defense, "What is your business here?" she growled out. Eleven stood besides Wingnut's larger form with her hackles raised and ears pinned towards her multi-toned skull, her attention on the inky black female that sauntered out the wilderness. Immediately a snarl broke out of Eleven's throat, although the kid was small she would still defend the group with all she could. The dark female displayed some sort of action Eleven wasn't quite aware of, still new to the whole dominant and submissive nature of others. The female then spoke. "I'm no threat, merely interested is all. I could see you were injured from a short distance away. Perhaps the openness of the area is not the greatest place for, said injury. I won't harm you, I could try to help." That did nothing to convince Eleven. Her growl grew louder as she bared her teeth. For all she knew, the female could be pretending just to damage the group further.

Elspeth felt her hackles raise, her ears push forward slightly, but her tail remained tucked between her legs, a subtle show of submission as she pushed it tighter against her stomach, despite the way her ears had risen. Though she had attempted to remain as though she was not a threat, the young she-wolf seemed not to pick up on the way her tail had tucked itself between her legs, or the way her body remained relax. Instead, the small female's hackles rose, her ears pinning themselves to her head, canines flashing slightly as a growl rumbled deep in her chest. The ebony she-wolf tilted her head towards the side, her own hackles involuntarily rising, though she stayed calm. This was a pup, and though she was acting foolish, she had the protection of the larger wolves at the moment, and so, despite the anger that flashed through the she-wolf's mind, she stayed calm. Even she knew that she stood no chance against the larger wolves, she was one wolf among what seemed like a small pack of wolves, and she would be the foolish one should she make the decision to lunge at the smaller wolf. "I didn't even intend to stumble upon you, if I wanted to cause harm, I could have done it by now" The she-wolf huffed, aiming her words directly at the small she-wolf. Her yellow eyes glimmered with an almost playful humor as she turned her attention back to the larger wolf. She could smell the other wolves, and though her instinct was not to submit, she felt that should the situation fall she may need to. She was not a pack wolf, not a social wolf in the slightest but even she knew there were perks to a pack, like safety and a constant flow of food, if they refused her she wouldn't mind so much, she would continue what she was doing before she had stumbled across the small group, perhaps follow them from a distance. The rogue was not against picking up the scraps of prey caught by others, though she refused to eat carrion that had been sitting for more than a day. However, if they welcomed her, she would make a good fighter, though perhaps not such good company. She was ferociously loyal when she needed to be, and her fighting skills could be beneficial if they wished it, however, she was not expecting much. No matter what the situation lead to, one thing was for certain, she was not about to be injured because a foolish wolf couldn't keep her canines in her mouth.

The fact that the mud covered she-wolf rose to her paws was unnerving. Though it was clear that she tried to stay submissive, she narrowed her eyes at her. "I'm no threat, merely interested is all. I could see you were injured from a short distance away. Perhaps the openness of the area is not the greatest place for, said injury. I won't harm you, I could try to help," The ebony she-wolf spoke, the words making Wingnut's jaw clench. They weren't exactly reassuring. The small form of Eleven that joined her by her side expressed the inner emotions that Wingnut was experiencing. Her hackles raised and a growl erupting out of her small form; it was as if someone completely new was beside her. However, this was a stranger, and Eleven was much smaller than everyone around her. Flicking her ink-dipped tail around, she tapped the small form of Eleven with it, inviting her to calm down slightly, however, she never broke her gaze from the other rogue. "I didn't even intend to stumble upon you, if I wanted to cause harm, I could have done it by now," the rogue spoke again, making Wingnut's ears flick backwards. The babble of vocabulary that the rogue muttered seemed completely illogical. There was a rogue pack where almost half of the members were injured in some way or another. Then she so-called 'stumbled' upon them and spoke of hurting the group, but it would've been sooner. That's what finalized her decision. Wingnut shoved one ebony leg forwards which caused a muffled wince of pain, baring her teeth at the rogue. "You have overstayed your welcome. Leave, now, or offensive measures will be taken against you," Wingnut growled, her monotonous tones deepening and hardening. She locked her amber gaze with the black rogue's, flicking her head in a gesture of 'get out of here.' Wingnut would hold her ground until the rogue moved away, or attack, where she would shove Eleven behind her, and fend off the attacker. @elspeth Alpha Rowan @eleven Salutary Snow Rose @rain @twizzle @miraa

When she saw the twitch of the female's ears she knew that she had said the wrong thing, her immediate reaction was to snarl but she swallowed back the feeling, flicking her ears towards the wolf. Her amber eyes seemed to blaze through Elspeth, eliciting a sense of nervousness that the she-wolf was unused to feeling. When she stepped forward she caught the wince of pain that seemed to shiver through her body. Elspeth stepped back slightly, she wasn't about to fight the injured she-wolf no matter how sure she was she could win. Her tail tucked tighter between her legs as the wolf spoke, "You have overstayed your welcome. Leave, now, or offensive measures will be taken against you," The she-wolf clenched her jaw, taking another step back, but with the anger that rippled from the leader, Elspeth reacted in a way she never had before. She dropped to her stomach and averted the contact of the she-wolf's eyes. She chose not to speak and instead, another idea settled in her stomach. "Hold on, wait, I uh, I apologize" She replied, her eyes flickering towards the smaller she-wolf, She would leave, if her life was threatened, but something about the small pack drew her to this small bunch. It had nothing to do with the injuries that the wolves held, but rather the power that seemed to ripple through them. She moved back slightly, giving the she wolf room, keeping herself pressed to the ground, her tail remaining between her legs.

Rowan "Do not judge my story by the chapter you walked in on." The male was startled to watch as Eleven slipped out of his grasp to join Wingnut with the strange, his eyes widening as he watched her become defensive. It was strange to see her in this manner, Rowan being accustomed to the small and easily-frightened girl, though it was reassuring to see the young she-wolf stand up for herself and the group, he was proud to see her like this. Though these thoughts would be addressed later, as for now, he had a stranger in his midst who was offering potential help, and Wingnut was about to send her away.
"Wingnut," he called the female's name with a stern tone, a command of sorts for her to stand down. Rowan didn't want to send this stranger away just yet, he was intrigued by her nature, yet he wouldn't hesitate to have her chased away from his friends. "Stranger, please come forward." He said almost hesitantly, inviting the onyx she-wolf into the group's area. He realised that this was an extremely risky move, but he was sure that she wouldn't attack. After all, she had no reason and seemed to be willing to submit if necessary. Rowan shifted his body so that he was laying upright as the beast took in the sight of the stranger. "You say that you would like to offer your help, and I am awfully grateful; your name is Elspeth, correct?" Rowan asked with a tilt of his head, ears cocked high as he intend to catch every single morsel of what she would say next, her attitude to his welcome being the first thing he would note. "What brought you to approach our group?" The brute's attitude seemed to have calmed down considerably, yet he was still visually on edge as every muscle in his body had gone tense, even though it hurt to keep himself tight because of his multiple injuries. But he kept his ground, single eye twitching as he await a response.

Elspeth's ears flickered towards the male who spoke a short distance off, his voice was commanding yet not cruel, which immediately drew Elspeth's attention. When he summoned her forward, her hackles flattened even further and she raised herself from her stomach, twitching her tail slightly as she passed by the two females. She avoided eye contact with the two, more than aware of their stares on her pelt. She could feel the stares rippling up her spine, her muscles all to ready for the females to leap, but her body remained as relaxed as she could manage. She stepped forward, blinking cautiously, though her tail relaxed slightly, hanging loosely between her legs. "That is correct" she remarked, her yellow eyes focusing on the male. She made no attempts to harm him, nor did she portray any true signs of aggression, though she retained her natural, determined stature. She flickered her ears back towards the females, aware of the others behind her, keeping herself alert for the sound of movements. "I did not approach to cause harm" She remarked, her voice slightly laced with frustration, as her yellow eyes flickered towards the females, but she betrayed no sign of ill will towards the two who had initially approached her, instead her gaze reasserted itself towards the brute before her, intending to answer his question. Twizzle sat, ashen paws crossed over each other and an ash masked head placed on top. His golden yellow eyes followed the others with a slight tiredness, listening to Rowan's words with interest. "Rain, I appreciate your concern for my health, but I am still perfectly capable of making decisions." There was a harshness in his tone that stood out to Twizzle. "If you are want to stay with us for the night, I'm afraid you'll have to pitch in even more than you already have by helping to provide some kind of meal for the group," Rowan looked toward Twizzle which made the chocolate bar wolf sit up and pay attention. "If you're feeling up to the task, Twizzle, I would like you to go with her. Some hares, quails or squirrels should do." Twizzle gave an affirmative nod without a word and looked sharply toward Snow Rose who he hoped would follow as he turned away to leave and find something to eat.
The scent of a foreign wolf halted him momentarily, a snarl rippling from his throat and his head swinging back around. He took a step back, wanting to protect his group but he watched with no surprise as Wingnut and then the pup both hurried to deal with it. Without making sure that Snow Rose was following as he was sure she was, he began at a comfortable trot forward while searching for any scents of nearby prey.

"Wingnut," Rowans stern tones snapped her out of her defensive mode, making her threat empty and useless. "Stranger, come forwards," Rowan called to the muddy wolf. Wingnut dipped her head, stepping backwards and to the side to allow the stranger to pass. "You say that you would like to offer your help, and I am awfully grateful; your name is Elspeth, correct?" Rowan inquired of the rogue. She agreed with him, and he continued, "What brought you to approach our group?" "I did not approach to cause harm," Elspeth confirmed. Wingnut could feel the comment directed towards her. Her ears flickered in response. She would apologize to the she-wolf if she was accepted by Rowan into the group. Until then, her lips were sealed tight. The chocolate she-wolf walked slowly back to her previous resting place, setting her form down so that she lay in a sphinx-like position, as to keep her chest clear. She didn't see her brother around, so she assumed he had gone off hunting, as Rowan suggested previously. Now all there was left to do was wait. Elspeth's yellow eyes traced over the wolf again as she thought about her answer, she hadn't even meant to stumble upon the group, though she believed that the chocolate she-wolf didn't believe her. At last she opened her maw in order to answer the brute's question. "I was hunting nearby, I happened to catch your scent and it peaked my curiosity. When I noticed you were injured I assumed I could help, I am strong, I can hunt, and I can fight" She shifted on her paws, as if considering the words she had spoken. The thrill of a fight, the adrenaline of a hunt, it all raced through her blood as she spoke but she kept her position relaxed, non-threatening. She cast a glance towards the chocolate female, her eyes tracing her momentarily "I had no intentions of attacking, I am well aware of when I am outnumbered, and I had no reason to harm anyone" she remarked, her words honest as they tumbled from her maw. She flicked her ear towards the chocolate female, though there was no longer the hint of hostility from the ebony she-wolf and her body had settled into the least threatening manner she could muster. She blinked, shifting nervously on her paws. If the male before her decided to reject her, there were wolves on either side to chase her off and though she wasn't the friendliest of wolves, she had told the truth. She was outnumbered. "If you would like, I will offer my assistance... or I can leave" She stated, dipping her head slightly towards the brute.

Rowan "Do not judge my story by the chapter you walked in on." Rowan nodded as Elspeth began to explain herself, the she-wolf's figure a noticeable relaxed-submission. Good; he was not in the mood to be dealing with anyone challenging his group or his word, especially after being attacked by the buck. It disturbed him to think that one of his eyes was laying on the ground probably melting into a plasmic goop under the harsh midday sun of the Brush Lands, while his eye-socket sang a song of pain and loss. He cut off these thoughts and focused on the new-comer. "I was hunting nearby, I happened to catch your scent and it peaked my curiosity. When I noticed you were injured I assumed I could help, I am strong, I can hunt, and I can fight. I had no intentions of attacking, I am well aware of when I am outnumbered, and I had no reason to harm anyone"
Rowan's interest was peaked, his head cocking to the side while his stoic expression stayed true. It would be beneficial to have someone such as Elspeth join his group, and even if she didn't want to join she had still offered to help them in their time of great need. He hoped that she would join him, it would have been the best thing for the group at that moment, and it would be nice to have a new face among them. "If you would like, I will offer my assistance... or I can leave"
The beast shook his head at her words. "I will gladly take all the assistance that I can get. You can follow Twizzle and Snow Rose to join them on their hunt, I'm sure if you ask Twizzle he'll fill you in on what you'll be hunting," Rowan paused for a second, thinking over the next thing he would say. "Elspeth, if you prove yourself to be useful, I will gladly extend an invitation for you to join my group. The name is Rowan, by the way." He gave the charcoal she-wolf a polite smile, though it was only an upwards twitch of his lips, it would be the most that anyone would be able to get from him at the moment. He gave Elspeth a nod. "Good luck,"
