Dual-colored eyes watched the smaller she-wolf carefully, the two young wolves seeming to examine each other with intrigue. Despite his tendency to keep to himself, in the back of his mind he felt glad to have this interaction with the female. She was the first wolf with whom he’d gotten near since Mituna’s disappearance, and having always been more comfortable around wolves his own age than adults, he felt willing to speak to her. He wanted to get to know her, this wolf who already without speaking seemed so harmless and sweet. The young male’s earlier question earned a smile from the female. Sweet and shy, but there. Her response came shortly afterward, a whispered word. "Eleven." Eleven. He rolled the word, the name around in his mind. It was unique, an interesting title for a wolf, but those same adjectives were fitting for the she-wolf to which the name belonged. "What's yours?" Sollux’s body stiffened beneath his golden pelt. His eyes fell from Eleven to the ground beneath his feet, his claws leaving small notches in the dirt. Finally, after a moment of silence, he sighed, the tension ebbing from his body. “Sollux,” he muttered quietly. As the word slipped over his tongue, he cringed visibly. He couldn’t even say his own name properly, thanks to his lisp. He looked up at Eleven. “Anyway,” he said slowly, looking around. He had smelled other wolves earlier, but had found none other than the small she-wolf with whom he now conversed. Now he saw no beings other than Eleven through the tall brush and grass, though he could still vaguely detect traces of other lupines on the slight breeze. “What are you doing out here all alo-” Sollux froze, his speech cutting off entirely. The brush behind Eleven rustled slightly. Tensely, the young male crept forward a bit, bringing himself closer to his new companion. His hackles rose up slightly as he lifted his head, trying to search for the scent of whatever was responsible for the movement. He found none. The scent was blowing away from him on the light breeze that shifted the otherwise-still summer air. From the brush behind Eleven, an adult female emerged, her pelt an array of dusty colors. A low, defensive growl rumbled quietly in the back of his throat. Sollux was surprised to find himself angling his body slightly, putting himself ever-so-slightly between Eleven and the newcomer. While the new female seemed more alert than aggressive, her mere presence still set the young male on edge. The strange urge to protect Eleven - the first wolf whose presence he’d actually accepted since his brother left - was foreign to him, and yet he put himself in front of her anyways. "Eleven, why don't you introduce me to your new friend?" Sollux stiffened visibly at the sound of the female’s voice. His head swiveled slightly toward Eleven. This new wolf knew her? Orbs of brown and rose searched Eleven’s face for any sign that this wolf might be a threat. He doubted it, but he felt no reason to give his name if he was not presented with a decent reason to. If the young female next to him trusted her, he might consider it.

Eleven watched with big brown eyes as Sollux's small-yet-bigger-than-her-own frame stiffened slightly, as his mismatched eyes gazed at his paws. It was silent for a moment and all El could do was look at him with concern, her eyebrows furrowed together with a tilt of her head. Was he okay? She didn't want her new friend to be sad. Could she even call them friends? She wanted to be. After a few seconds, the sandy male let out a sigh before muttering quietly "Sollux." His lisp till evident, but Eleven couldn't think of anything cuter! A large smile found its way onto El's pretty features as her tail flickered behind her small, skinny frame. She really couldn't wait to show off her cute pretty friend! Eleven's coffee eyes caught that of Sollux's chocolate and rosy pink ones. "Anyway," he said slowly "What are you doing out here all alo-" his words cut off as he froze. Eleven looked at him in alarm for a moment as the brush behind her rustled. Quickly, Eleven snapped her head towards the sound as Sollux crept closer to her frame. His sandy hackles rose and Eleven could only copy with her own cream and onyx pelt. Quietly, Eleven pressed her side against Sollux's, her pointed ears flattened against her skull as she leaned back into a ready-to-pounce position. Sollux took up a protective stance, and Eleven felt so delighted that the young male would do such a thing. What Eleven expected was a blood thirsty huge dark wolf ready to tear the two near-pups apart. Instead out skulked Rain, looking less than happy yet still alert - probably from the pain. Eleven's form immediately relaxed beside her new companions, forming an irritated slump as her ears kept flat against her sandy head. "Eleven, why don't you introduce me to your new friend?" Rain asked and Eleven let out an inaudible annoyed huff, one only Sollux could hear. Speaking of the male, he turned to look at El's features, a questioning expression present. Eleven had hardly said much if anything to Rain in the time of knowing her. And no doubt she was here to bring Eleven back to the group. A twisted feeling churned in her small stomach. She didn't want to see Rowan oogling over a thing with big ears. Instead she wanted to indulge with someone her own age, her new friend. Maybe Eleven was a little jealous and a tad possessive but no-one could really blame the kid, she never had anything or anyone to herself. And now even Rowan was pulled away from her. Now it was El's turn to take a protective stance around the slightly bigger male, not that she would - nor could - hurt Rain, but she sure as hell wanted to stay with Sollux. "Eleven found Sollux..." Her small voice came out quiet, under her breath. "You can go home now." She spoke to the elder. As far as Eleven's child-like logic went, Rain had found her as of Rowan's orders, and could now return back. She wasn't sure if the older would demand for El's return. Perhaps Eleven could bring Sollux. Did Sollux have a home or a group? Her small rump sat stubbornly next to her male companions bigger frame as she awaited Rain's next move.

Rain watched as this new unknown male put himself between her and Eleven. It surprised her somewhat seeing as most wolves wouldn't do that for someone they didn't know. Then again, Eleven is a pup so it makes sense too, but her pressing against the new male was also something she didn't think Eleven would do. Seems the pup trusted a bit too easily. Oh well.
Rain is glad though that Eleven doesn't try and run away from her again. Honestly Rain is pushing it as it is right now and just really wants to rest, but Rowan asked for her to bring Eleven back and she would do that. Hopefully soon though. When Eleven speaks about finding Sollux and that she can go home now, Rain shakes her head some. "Sorry Eleven, I am not leaving you here with this male alone. Besides, Rowan is worried about you."
Seeing Eleven sit down, Rain did the same, though slowly and carefully. She wouldn't, as of now, demand that Eleven go home with her. She would see if she could get her to do it on her own, perhaps if they brought this new male then she would go, but who knows.

Rowan "Do not judge my story by the chapter you walked in on." His entire body seemingly went tense, shoulder's arching in his position sprawled on the ground as he watched Snow Rose come and go, the angel that they had been blessed with working so hard to keep this new-found pup away from the brink of death. Rowan wasn't even bothered by the news that this wolf pup was in fact a coywolf pup, hell, he wouldn't have even cared if Mint was pure coyote. It wasn't right to let someone so young suffer like this. His single grey eye narrowed as Rose began trying to coax the pup out of his unconscious state, his heart skipping a few beats as he waited for the outcome, however, his observations were interrupted by the arrival of two new faces.
"Hello! I couldn't help but to notice that all of you could use some help. Some of you are injured and you seem to have a sick pup on your paws. I don't know a whole lot about healing, but I would love to do anything I possibly can in my power to help you wolves in any way, shape, or form." Rowan's features fell back to their stoney neutrality, the wounds across his body swinging as he shifted his legs underneath him and straightened himself up, looking to dust coloured male over from head to toe before gazing at the small she-pup who gazed lovingly at Snow Rose. He knew that the young female was avoiding the temptation to look at his beaten form, but he couldn't help smiling at her innocent aura. Rowan turned his head back to the male. It was strange that he was finding so many wolves that were willing to help him and his wolves, when exactly was their luck going to run out? Rowan dismissed this thought.
"Thank you for offering your help, it is very much appreciated. My name is Rowan, and I'm afraid all you could do is perhaps catch something for one of the pups to eat. However, you are very welcome to stay with us if you wish, as well as the pup that you have brought with you." His tone was set and even, almost monotonously gravely and obviously tired. But who could blame him for being so worn out? After all, he was still growing use to the twinge in his missing eye socket every time he blinked.
-- Timeskip: 1.5 Months --
Things had changed. Rowan's eye socket was near the end of it healing, the skin over the hole almost finished melding. His leg had healed as well, although he still occasionally limped on the once-broken hind leg, it was now functional. The wounds that had been across his body had sealed up as well, no more than scars dashed through his pelt. The leaves had begun to change as well, their colours starting to turn to a vibrant array of orange red and yellows. The air was colder, another sign that autumn was upon them faster than Rowan had been able to realise it. And of course through all these changes, his group had some differences as well.
Dusty and Joy had found themselves settling in amongst the familiar faces, while Miraa had left them along with the angel Snow Rose, and Eleven never returned. The last name still left a pang to rattle through his stone-cold chest, still wondering what he had done wrong or if he could've changed anything. But it was in the past, he was here now with his group in a new location--a clearing, where the forest of the Brush Lands seemed to stop before almost immediately starting again. They had all set up camp in this quiet, secluded area. Each wolf with a den to call their own, including Rowan who simply bunched a large amount of fallen leaves into a large log who's side had been hollowed out to make a hut of some sorts. It was comfortable and surprisingly roomy; a place to call home unless they decided that a more permanent territory would suit them better. But these living conditions would do.
It was the silvery light of morning that pooled outside which coaxed his body to stir, large body eventually hauling itself off the ground, hissing at every crack of his sleep-ridden joints. Rowan shook out of his thick pelt of grey and timber hues, legs falling forward into a slow pace, carrying his weary body out of his den and towards the centre of the clearing where generous amounts of crisp sunlight began splashing into life. Rowan grinned as he sat himself in the warmth, his body still trying to fight away to biting chill that had resided in the air the night before. He couldn't help but savour the atmosphere of serenity, void of any noise or commotion as his wolves still snoozed in their resting places. But he knew that this quiet would not last for long, as they would begin to wake soon. It was only a matter of time.

Dusty's ears immediately perked at the large male's response. The way he stood, acted and had requested Dusty to retrieve some sort of prey item to feed the young, sickly animal gave the tan male the impression that he was definitely the lead figure in this group. 'Rowan' He said to himself over and over again as to match the name with the face and not forget. "Thank you for allowing me to stay, you won't regret this!" His body trembled with purpose and drive now that he had a purpose once again. This confirmed Dusty's previous thoughts, he couldn't be alone; being solitary just wasn't in his personality. This group might seem disheveled at the moment, but they all helped one another and cared for each other to certain degrees from what he could tell. And this was what Dusty valued in a pack. Trust, loyalty, respect and admiration towards each other. However, they might share all those traits among each of them, but Dusty had to gain that trust and respect. It might take time, but he can start with the simple task of finding food. He turned to leave but halted immediately. For before him was a tan pup, similar in his coloring minus the black mask. She has been behind him this entire time and he had no idea. This young pup was quite trusting to approach a group of rogues like that. She was lucky she hadn't walked into a death trap with rogues who sought to hurt others. He had a task to do however, and needed to get started. Still low to the ground, he greeted the young wolf with a whine and a wag of his tail and went around her to begin his search. Only when he was a a few feet away from the group did he raise himself up again to his full height and then loped off into the foliage. It had taken him sometime to find a decent sized meal. He had found a scrawny hare seeking refuge from the heat beneath a shrub. It wasn't hard to catch since it was already in a weakened state due to starvation. It had taken him probably at least an hour and a half to round up a single hare and he needed to return, to make sure his newly found acquaintances were doing alright. ~Time skip one and a half months~
The weather was beginning to change and alter everything around the traversing wolves. Time had flown by since Dusty's initiation into the group of rogues. It didn't take long for Dusty to build a relationship with each and every wolf in the group due to his sanguine personality. Dusty has realized from their month and a half session of getting to know one another; Rowan, the large male, was a bit of an introvert. He wasn't much to talk, but Dusty enjoyed talking to him anyway. He may only nod or grunt or sometimes, offered a sentence or two. It didn't bother Dusty though, he may be a three year old adult wolf, but his puppish and upbeat nature never left him and probably wouldn't even in his senile years. Rain was a bit distant in their first few days, but Dusty drilled her with conversation until she either caved, or had gotten used to his presence and openly conversed with him. Mint and Joy were his two favorites. They were pups and far easier to get along with than any of the other wolves. Dusty was able to alter his personality when it needed to be. He knew when to act like a goofy puppy and when to act like a responsible adult. He often joined them in games like tag, hide and seek and helping them both sharpen their hunting skills. He also deeply enjoyed trying to communicate with Mint. He was unable to fully speak the language that the rest of them spoke; but, that was the fun part. Dusty found ways to get words across through stance, tail movement, body posture and many other creative ways that Dusty thought long and hard about. The only one out of all the rest that Dusty was having a hard time getting along with was Wingnut. She didn't much like to talk and had a silent, dominant aura about her. He tred on eggshells just to try and avoid angering her. When she ever did rarely respond it was dull and uninterested. She didn't really seem to want anything to do with the sandy colored male. It was quite sad, but he didn't let it weigh him down in anyway and he would never stop trying to wiggle his way past her boundaries. The six wolves found themselves in a small opening. Rowan decided that this would be their new camp. Dusty was thoroughly excited, it was open, but had bits of protection from the elements. It had been a while since he'd had a place to stay without worrying that something would attack him in his sleep. With a group of four adult wolves, they would be considerably safe against other predators and rival wolves. The weather was chilly and cut through the wolves' increasingly thickened coat. Dusty knew that prey was going to get scarcer every day. Birds were going to start migrating soon to warmer climates while smaller mammals were gathering food to prepare for their hibernation in Winter. The group would have to fatten up as much as they possibly could before winter hit them smack in the muzzle. As the wolves started to get comfortable, Dusty found a spot himself that he preferred greatly. It was a group of shrubbery that stood close together to provide protection against the elements. His ears swiveled as he began to process how he would alter the three plants to be more accommodating to his body. He walked up to the shrubs and began to dig between them. It took him a considerable amount of time, considering the dry earth, but it didn't deter him and he made a dip in the dirt where his body could rest and fit more comfortably within the foliage. He raced off to gather brush, and anything that would feel nice beneath his body. Returning with a jaw full of leaves, dried grass and brush, he placed the bedding into the dip and created a den to call his own. At that, he grinned widely and huffed in triumph. He observed the others as they began to find their dens and he offered to help them in anyway he could. Whether it would be gathering bedding or assisting in digging. Once everyone had settled, Dusty offered each and every individual a 'goodnight' and crawled into his own den. Curling into a fuzzy mix of tans, golds and blacks, he slowly eased into a deep and calm sleep. He awoke the next day to find the sun in the sky, but selfishly keeping its warmth from warming the air around them. And instead left them to gently quiver in the cold. He yawned widely and pulled himself from his warm place of rest and stretched his forelegs, then his hind legs. Once refreshed, he shook out his fur, ridding it of any indents or kinks created from sleeping on it. His sunny colored eyes found a large male sitting in the open, It was Rowan. He excitedly bounced over to the very large wolf with his tongue lolling from his open jaws and his tail waving low to the ground in a friendly and submissive manner. " Good morning!" He practically shouted with solid enthusiasm. " It's a beautiful day isn't it? Even though there is a chill in the air." He didn't leave much room for Rowan to respond for he began his next sentence. This was probably why Rowan hardly spoke in full sentences to him. He didn't have the opportunity to. " What might we be doing today do you think? I would love to go hunt and stretch my limbs. But also, we should probably mark the perimeter of our camp so that no one intrudes, and to warn predators of our presence." He then allowed Rowan to speak. His tongue hanging out the side of his mouth and panting heavily. Clearly not because it was hot, because it was the opposite. Because he was bubbling with purpose and and enthusiasm. His eyes locked on Rowan's single remaining eye, unfazed by the healing injury that the larger wolf had sustained.

.:.Chipara.:. "It is abhorrent to me when fine intelligence is paired with an unsavory character."
Blinking vibrant jade optics, a ginger male crossed into the territory, fully aware of the group that currently harbored the land. Pushing forward on lithe legs, the handsome wolf sported a coat of sun and fire hues, with charcoal and cream stains floating among his eye-catching fur. Moving with effortless speed, Chipara is most definitely on the slim side, though not small. Built for agility, the tall lupine continued his walk towards where the group that's smell surrounded the area expressionlessly, both outwardly, and inwardly numb. Whilst his body was on track, moving easily over the rogue-claimed terrain, his mind was in a completely different area. Why was he approaching this group? For survival, surely. Loneliness is a lost concept for Chipara, along with the majority of other feelings. But what help did he need with survival at this point? He'd kept himself quite well fed, and was able to heal any small wounds that were inflicted upon himself. Perhaps he could offer his services to this group, what was the point of focusing on one's self, if there are others who need all the help they can get?
Twitching ginger auricles briefly, without breaking stride he approached a wolf who's coat resembled the colors of the forest, though more saturated. He was a mere 2 inches taller then himself, and definitely bulkier. Blinking blank eyes, he jerked his muzzle upwards so his gaze caught the opposing male's, any hesitation or wariness gone to the wind. Any fear, or caution that should have been placed in him about approaching this strange group never fazed him. Like the feelings of joy, or pride, it was torn from him, and burned. "It seems that there is a promising group occupying this area, no?" He spoke quickly, behind him ginger plumage lashed, throwing out the speech so he wouldn't have to talk further. His discomfort in sharing words was painfully apparently in the way his voice rasped heavily due to lack of use. "I'd like to contribute any help that anyone may need." A brittle emphasis was thrown onto the word "anyone". Throughout any of his speech, the intelligent wolf did not address this stranger as a superior to himself, or anyone around him.
While he awaited the lupine's reply, he would let his eyes leave Rowan's, and instead look about; almost admiring the serene silence that he had so quickly broken. There was multiple scents intermingled throughout the area, some stale, and some oh-so very recent. Of course, throughout his approach, there was a pup that had also approached Rowan, which gave Chipara the sense to draw away ever-so-slightly, not wanting to scare the young soul.

Raisa was traveling through the lands, simply enjoying her time alone. Although she longed for interaction between herself and others, she had encountered way too many wolves that had evil intentions. Some trying to take her hostage, to use her as a breeding tool, or for worse things that she couldn't imagine. Some to make her a soldier in their army because they were going to war, or simply to use her as a body to throw in the warring pack's direction. She wasn't one for conflict, so she strayed away from war as much as she could, or wolves that were wanting to fight. She had ended up in an unknown place, who knows how long she had been just wondering around. But her belly was full and she had plenty to drink most of the time, especially considering there was an abundant amount of water supplies around her. She was content simply walking, her pure white pelt shimmering underneath the autumn light. Looking forward with beautiful pale rose eyes, she caught a glimpse of some wolves in front of her. Looking towards them with curiosity, she gave a small smile and bounced up to them. One was a sandy colored male only slightly bigger than her, and the other was a brute that was missing an eye. "Hello there!" She said with a chirpy smile, pale eyes glancing across the two of them. Alpha Rowan @dusty @whoeverelse

Time had healed Rain from when he distracted the buck, leaving her no longer with a limp, just the scars as a reminder. On days when it is going to rain or storm, her leg might ache some where it was cracked, but usually never gives her a problem. Rain still can't believe that the pup Eleven left the group to go out on her own, that after she found her and the new male, she took off faster then Rain could catch her. She thought for sure she would stay with Rowan, seeing as they were joint at the hip for a while, until he was injured. She still hasn't forgiven herself for that, knowing that Rowan liked the pup a lot. Snow Rose, she knew would leave, seeing she was wandering before and then asked to stay to make sure everyone healed up right. She never did ask to stay forever. The small clearing that the group found some time back has been a gift for everyone. Now they didn't have to wander around every day to few days trying to see where they might rest up for the night, they know where they will be after a days hunt. Rain had made her den in a smaller corner by some thick bushes and had pushed a good amount of dead leaves under there as well. Even the morning sunlight that filtered through the trees couldn't get Rain to move from her makeshift den at the moment. Content to just lay there for a few more moments and watch as others woke up. She knew she would have to get up sooner or later to go on a hunt or whatever else Rowan wanted them to do for the day. Rain's gaze flicks to Rowan when he makes his way towards a patch of morning sun and studies him for a moment, or more like his healed wounds. That night with the buck wouldn't leave her memory any time soon, perhaps never. Her gaze flicks over to Dusty next, who was up and about very quickly. A ball of energy is what Rain sees right now, he pushed and pushed his way into conversation with her for a good few days before she just got annoyed with the constant battering of talk that she just gave in. That was a battle she didn't want to fight anymore, she was just too tired, and it wasn't like she could just get up and walk off to hunt or whatever then. As soon as Dusty was by Rowan he began to speak, never giving Rowan a chance to even say a word until he was all done with his questioning. Rain lets out a sigh and gets to her paws and out from her little makeshift den a few feet before shaking out her fur of any leaves that may have stuck before taking a seat there to see what needed to be done. No need to crowd Rowan with Dusty already asking the questions and all. As she waits, a new male comes in and heads straight for Rowan like he even belonged to the group and wasn't a lone wolf invading their space. She tenses but remains seated, knowing that Rowan can handle himself and that Dusty could help and that she could get there in seconds if need be. Rain doesn't get aggressive feelings from this wolf though which is why she didn't stand, just stayed seated and kept her eyes on him. A white female now comes bouncing up to Rowan and Dusty as well as this new male. Do no wolves know the concept that you don't just barge into other wolves area? That they could have been they kind of wolves that attack first and ask question later, no matter how much you appear to be friendly? Some caution goes a long way. Guess not, not with them. Rain stands now and makes her way silently over towards Rowan and Dusty, stopping on the other side of Rowan that Dusty hasn't claimed, though a bit behind Rowan, showing he is in charge as he gaze flicks over the two newcomers. He wasn't supposed to run off. He couldn't explore until someone else was up. Mint waited eagerly for the autumn sun to peek into their clearing, waiting for just one person to haul themselves out of their den so that he could come out and play. It seemed he was often woken an hour before the sun rose, normally due to some nightmare he had. It was always something about his mom or his brother, occasionally even the wise wolves that he'd met in his youth. Having learned quite a bit of english now, Mint and learned to understand what had happened and how he got into this group. His brother as she probably killed by the bear, and his mom, he learned, was deaf, which is why he never learned any english from her. It was both a blessing and a curse to understand what was going on around him. The pup was now almost 8 months old, growing stronger by the minute. His long white tail wagged eagerly behind him, sky blue eyes scanning the clearing. Finally, he noticed, Rowan had gotten up, followed by several others within minutes. The half wolf jumped up instantly, skipping out of his flower decorated den with great joy. Joy! It had taken him a few days to fully recover from eating rotten meat, but once he was strong enough, Mint had learned that the group had accepted another pup. Since then he normally was always at her side, feeling less alone with someone closer to his age. He just couldn't help himself. Mint hopped giddily toward her den, plopping his rump squarely on the ground right infront of the entrance. " It's wake up time, Joy!" he said, hardly able to contain his excitement. By now, some words just came to his mouth naturally, as if he could speak english all along. Still, his english was choppy at times, and sometimes he still pronounced words wrong. While he waited for the she-wolf to appear, Mint's mind raced with cool idea of what to play today, or where to explore. His huge coyote inherited ears, though he didn't mean it, listened into Dusty's eager voice as he spoke to Rowan. In an instant the limitless pup was on his paws, sprinting over to Rowan as his tongue lolled from his mouth. " I hunt too!" he would eventually puff, out of breath. With a wiggle of his rump, the coywolf pounced at Dusty's tail, giving his greatest growl which melted into a coyote like yap.

Ears flattened even more as Rain shook her head. "Sorry Eleven, I am not leaving you here with this male alone. Besides, Rowan is worried about you." No he isn't. Eyes watered slightly but she wouldn't dare let them fall. With a huff, she murmured a small "Fine." before gently pulling on Sollux's pointed ear playfully. She slowly made her way back to the group, hopefully with Sollux by her side. However all the time thinking. She didn't want to leave Rowan but at the same time, she didn't want to leave Sollux. And although she had known Rowan longer, she was no longer his priority anymore. Besides, Sollux was all alone, she couldn't leave him. Even if it breaks her heart. Perhaps she could have both? But upon arriving at the group, she knew she couldn't. Already two others had taken her place, complete strangers and even other near-pups. She felt her heart shatter to a million pieces but she knew she couldn't stay. With a sniffle, she slowly made her way up to the large form of Rowan before pressing her skinny frame into his huge mass of sandy fur. A few tears escaping as she nuzzled into his scent one last time. "Goodbye Rowan," she whispered brokenly. "Thank you..." and with that, she darted back from the bushes she had escaped from, finding Sollux's slightly taller build once more and sniffling. Her tail and ears drooped as tears escaped her pretty coffee-flickered-with-gold eyes. She would definitely miss Rowan, Snow Rose, Wingnut, Twizzle - hell maybe even Rain. But that was no place for Eleven to belong. With a last sniff and a paw harshly rubbing her small face, Eleven padded forward into an unknown destination. Her head turning to Sollux's milky-caramel frame. A wobbly smile was thrown at him. "You coming?" She asked hopefully. .: Time Skip :. It still hurt but Eleven was a hell of a lot better. She had been traveling with Sollux for a long while, to the outskirts of the Brush Lands - as far away as El could get. They had been surviving on scraps and the odd hunted mouse or such. She would like to say that Sollux was truly her best friend. And of course, being a best friend - you gotta mess with the other sometimes. And thus, Eleven crouched in a small tuft of dried grass. Her frame had only gotten a little bigger in the time of knowing Sollux, she was worried she's stay small forever. A gift and a curse. But right now was the former as her small body was low to the ground, ears peeking out slightly as she eyed the young male. Slowly creeping forward, Eleven's rear did a small wriggle before she suddenly leaped out of her hiding spot and onto her best friend. "I gotcha!" she giggled, perhaps she was the only one playing in this game but she didn't mind. It was all fun and games to her. As long as she had Sol around, El had nothing to worry about.

As Dante scampered off, Elenor would uncover her face, labored breaths calming as she forced the anxiety attack to parish. Not the time nor place. The male succeeded in getting water. nudging a ball of dripping moss towards her as he returned. Now a bit calmer, curious but pained eyes glanced toward Dante's happy-go-lucky figure before she would let a salmon tongue lap at the moss ball. Since getting her leg ripped off and being carried here, she had grown parched. Elenor savored the fresh tingling sensation as she drank, her mouth again being moist. " There's more herbs right here if you need them." he would bark, nudging the array of petals and seeds towards her. He seemed to recite their purpose individually, although she didn't particularly care too much. With how easily trusting she had been in the past view months, for all she knew she was eating something that would killer, and that idea didn't sound half bad. Elenor quickly ate the herbs, hunger twisting at her stomach. After she napped, they would need to hunt for something. Lazily her eyes drooped to a close, the last thing she would hear being Dante assuring her safety. Hopefully. Elenor would whisper a shy 'thank you' before letting sleep take hold of her pained body. ~ I forgot how long timeskip & exit to Lubrusca~

Time Skip: One and A Half Months
Their shelter had served them well their first week in the Brush Lands, the small low hanging shrubs serving as a suitable, albeit temporary shelter. Bright patches had just begun to break their green barriers as the summer heat subsided, a colorful array of red, orange, and brown. As time progressed, the plant life thinned, shifting from soft, faded green to dark brown. Branches had broken thin, allowing a slight, adamant chill to pierce their pelts; the original thickness of the valley giving way to a bare, open basin. Though prey remained plentiful, the necessary herbs were no longer accessible to the two of them, No matter - Elenor's wound healed well enough, a single, clean scar where the leg had been separated from the shoulder - but every omen was there. The Brush Lands would not be hospitable for the winter.
Gradually, they'd grown to enjoy each other's company, although she was slightly wary on chance occasions. Nonetheless, their decision was unanimous. They'd find a pack and lead a safer, more settled existence, find purpose to plunge themselves into. New wolves, new start, new life. Good things were in store for the two of them, he just knew it, setting off with a sharp, eager sense of adventure.

"It's wake up time, Joy!" The young lady flinched, her paws grasping with all of her life's existence onto the shrubbery underneath her as her ears, still sagging with a lack of enthusiasm, stretched upwards in an alert. Her eyes, blurred and colorblind as they tried to adjust to the morning's cruel light, spotted a pink nose trespassing in her humble abode. Mint. "Whyyyy," she whined, barely able to open her maw. Of all the pups in the world who didn't wake up for any reason other than to bound outside in search of excitement and adventure, Joy seemed to be the only one who woke up wanting nothing more than to go back to sleep. Mint disappeared from the opening of her little, encasing, fun-sized den, and instinctually she pulled forward to chase after him. Lazy as can bee today, she simply plopped back onto the ground, chin falling limp at the mouth of the burrow and body refusing to cooperate either. Soon, wolves began showing up all over the place. She pulled her chin back inside when strangers marched into the unclaimed territory until, in all her beauty, an ivory lady walked into the rendezvous site. Joy peered at her, sticking her nose just outside of the den to catch a whiff of her smelly smell. As protected as she felt around older, stronger males, she longed to be loved by a mother. She ached for someone to eradicate her insecurities by telling her she was beautiful, kind, smart, funny, desirable, all the things she knew she wasn't but wished she could someday be. The ladies in the group, currently, never really spent time with Joy like mothers should. She probably bothered them one day, and so, she'd never dared to bother them again--whatever she did, anyways. Mor...!" Joy choked as she tripped halfway outside of her den, franticly dashing towards the outside-wolves with a ruthlessly, humiliatingly eager eye on the alabaster stranger-lady. "Morning!" A yip punched the lips of her maw as she skid directly up to her, falling like a plump fruit at her feet. She helplessly threw her eyes all over the field, meeting each wolf's gaze for a split-second each so as not to expose her completely founded, appropriate and unconcerning obsession with Stranger-Lady. "Good morning also to you," she whispered to Stranger-Lady to further instill the false idea that she was not interested in her more than she was with anyone else in the area. Yet, begging at her tongue was, I don't know you but I love you.

A tan colored tail waved a mile a minute across the dusty floor beneath it. It created a little cloud of dust but was not large enough to phase anyone. Rowan sat regal as always while Dusty awaited his response to the tan male's enthusiastic questions and run on sentences. Brilliant eyes darted to meet Rain as she exited her den site. He noticed her wounds had healed up quite nicely. The male wasn't exactly an adept healer of any sort. However, he had some previous training a long time ago from a dark pelted female by the name of Raven. He hadn't learned a whole lot, but he had memorized the basics in case he ever needed to patch a laceration or stop a cough or tummy ache. As his traveling companion approached, he offered a woof of greeting and moved his tail with more vigor. Next to emerge from their coverts were Mint and Joy. The two pups were shaping up nicely. Mint was learning to speak in full sentences with the help of everyone in the pack. He was growing quickly and was vastly different from when Dusty had first offered to help this group; now that the ailments from the rotten flesh consumption had left his body. It was wonderful to see the two get along. It was quite comical to play with the idea of the two developing a young crush on the other as they grew up. Romance was something the love sick male was obsessed with. The way a heart felt when two eyes locked was something one would only think was a part of a dream. He had felt that once. The memory was beginning to cloud his mind and he didn't want that. Flicking an ear as if to fling away the notion his attention flicked to two incoming wolves. The newly arrived male had similar coloring to Dusty's own pelt. A mix of tans and oranges with coal mixed in. The new male was a bit darker though. Bright, welcoming eyes looked over the outsider and Dusty offered a giddy bark of greeting. As for the new female, she approached with grace in her bounce. His eyes analyzed her figure. She was lithe and little. Smaller than he was, but not by too much. Her fur was a vibrant white, glimmering in the autumn sunlight. Her voice was smooth and sweet like honey. Her eyes brilliantly resembled that of pink roses. She was perfect with her outward appearance, but Dusty couldn't help to wonder if she was as perfect with her hunting and fighting skills as she was with her looks. He gave the new female a kind and welcoming greeting as well. He knew Rowan was the leader of this group and would allow them to stay, or chase them away. All Dusty could do was look onward at the strangers with glee.

Time Skip: 1 1/2 months The bruise on her chest had long healed, no ghost pains haunted her. She knew from watching Rain in the rain that she still had pain, but there was really nothing anyone could do to help. Snow Rose had moved on, hopefully to spread her gift to other wolves that need help. In a world of logic, Snow Rose leaving was the best option. The same story could not be said for Eleven. The large group that had gathered was full of knowledge that was useful in future life, for both pack life and rogue life. Eleven could've learned lots from everyone in the group, even the chocolate bitch that drove her away. Over that incident, Wingnut felt no guilt. She couldn't. Eleven couldn't handle Wingnut's reality, so fight or flight kicked in, and flight was the option Eleven took. That was life. It seemed that the three new faces that had joined the party at in the end of the summer had settled in nicely. Nicely used in its facetious form. Mint was learning to talk, but it was improving steadily. The albino coywolf pup had a hefty bank of adjectives for still being so young; he was quite the special life. Joy seemed to view everyone as if they were angels; it was a quality that Wingnut could not fathom being useful in the future. It reminded her of herself as a young pup, finding everyone a hero, just to have her feelings crushed, forming the wolf she was today. It wasn't that Wingnut wasn't going to guard that feeling, but if, and when, Joy realized that most wolves aren't angels, Wingnut was going to try and keep her as normal as possible. Dusty's voice rang through the walls of her den, prompting the she-wolf to stretch out her legs out and emerge from her den. "What might we be doing today do you think? I would love to go hunt and stretch my limbs. But also, we should probably mark the perimeter of our camp so that no one intrudes, and to warn predators of our presence," her ears fully caught from the sandy wolf. Wingnut agreed with his plan, nodding subconsciously along with his words. "It seems that there is a promising group occupying this area, no? I'd like to contribute any help that anyone may need." the voice of a male, a stranger, broke the momentary silence, followed by a bark from Dusty. Amber locked with jade as Wingnut looked over this new male, taking note of the stiffness in his posture, the rasp in his voice. He reminded her of herself before she had met Rowan and his group. Since then, she had learned the skills of socializing, but chose not to implement them. She was still slightly robotic, still calculative and not understanding of the social ques of her peers. Make no mistake, Wingnut has learned the emotional ques, but only interprets them as an invitation to move away. She was still looking over the newest face when another replaced it. She presented herself as the chirpy type, the "happy go lucky" type of wolf. It caused an immediate boundary between herself and this other rogue. A rogue that happy was hiding something, and Wingnut didn't know what that was. However, if those around her that actually felt something responded well, an adult form of Joy could be useful to them. For Wingnut, it would just be another face to remember, more ques to learn. Flicking her amber gaze to Rowan, Wingnut moved to his shoulder, showing her support of him non-verbally. Keeping her volume average, Wingnut observed, "Both would be assets. Speed more than strength. Useful for hunting or avoiding predators." Her monotones were definitely loud enough for both rogues to hear, but she couldn't really care. If they were to be joining the group, it would do them good to know of Wingnut's opinion of them. She backed away from Rowan slightly, placing her flank on the ground and keeping her bright amber gaze on the two rogues, mostly on the male. He reminded Wingnut of herself so much, it intrigued her to see another wolf that seemed to have her affliction. It was a rare spark of curiosity that had ignited within Wingnut, and she wasn't all that focused on snuffing it out at the moment. @tadase Alpha Rowan @joy @rain @chipara Guardian Raisa @twizzle @dusty
