Rowan "Do not judge my story by the chapter you walked in on." Unfortunately, the brute's moment of soaking in the serene quiet did not last for long, his ears twitching as he heard the rustle of leaves under paw before the arrival of Dusty. His grey eye narrowed as the earthen-hued male approached, knowing all too well that he was probably going to have his ear talked off. Rowan managed to tolerate Dusty, though he was somewhat annoying to have a conversation with, he wasn't hatable in the least. "Good morning! It's a beautiful day isn't it? Even though there is a chill in the air. What might we be doing today do you think? I would love to go hunt and stretch my limbs. But also, we should probably mark the perimeter of our camp so that no one intrudes, and to warn predators of our presence." Rowan gave the male a few seconds after he had stopped talking, just to make sure that he was finished. The answering silence was Rowan's answer to go on with whatever speech he might've conjured, but he simply gave Dusty a lazy half smile. "Today's plans will be discussed once everyone is awake and functioning." He answered with lower tones, sleep still hanging thickly in the cogs of his mind. Perhaps he would be the one needing to be awake and functioning for plans to be made.
Rowan couldn't help noticing two unfamiliar scents that seemed to dance through the air this morning, his shoulders tensing at this small note that he made. Of course this area was flooded with rogues, but these two were a bit too close for comfort, one of their positions being confirmed as a rather thin and agile male stepped into the clearing, his pelt blending with the warm hues of autumn, unlike Rowan's pelt. The stranger's expressions were noticeably blank, especially as he dared to look Rowan in the eye, which only earned the rogue a cold glare from the singular optic. "It seems that there is a promising group occupying this area, no? I'd like to contribute any help that anyone may need." At the stranger's interesting choice of words, Rowan simply shifted on his feet, suddenly wondering if the rest of his group had noticed the rogue's presence and cared to join himself and Dusty for a bit of backup if things were to take a drastic turn.
It was not long after this thought that an exquisitely beautiful she-wolf joined them, her pelt a glowing white amidst the dull morning light. It was the sight of her more-so delicate form that brought Rowan's permanent glare to a low simmer. "Hello there!" The angel replied with gleaming pale eyes, her light tones bringing an ease to Rowan's tensed body. He didn't shift from his place where he sat, even as Rain and Wingnut approached to stand by his side with Dusty, the younglings of the group following suit, though they seemed a bit more energetic and perhaps even excited about the new arrivals. He gave an appreciative nod to the two older females, glancing towards the chocolate coloured Wingnut as she spoke. "Both would be assets. Speed more than strength. Useful for hunting or avoiding predators." The female's dull words were said as if Rowan would actually take them into consideration, but he would admit that her statement was true.
Rowan's icy gaze slowly drifted back to the two rogues, his tail shifting through the leaf litter upon the place where he sat as he simply tilted his head to the side in question, assessing the agile male and and pretty-little she-wolf. "What are your names?" He asked with gravely tone, fur bristling over the raw skin of his scars. Hopefully these two strangers wouldn't prove to be a waste of his time.

Rain looks down at Mint when he jumps on Dusty's tail. This pup was full of energy and to be honest, Rain didn't know what to do with that energy right now. Joy, the other smaller wolf would usually play with him, calm his energy, but she seems to still be sleeping, until she shows up and flopped to the ground. Rain understands that. It was a warm day, one they wouldn't get to many more of since it is fall now. Laying in a patch of sun sounds very nice, but the new wolves that showed up need all the attention and in the seconds it took Rain to look at Mint and Joy, she now looks back at the new male and female. Staying in a sitting position by Rowan and Dusty, she cant help but wonder what Rowan will do with these two new wolves. The male seemed distance and uninterested to her which can be dangerous to a group. The female was happy and pretty, young too. With the way that the two younger of their group were looking at them, they would be happy with new additions, more to play with since most of them now hunted and all that. Twizzle "Some say I judge. I just label for convenience."
.:Timeskip One And A Half Months:.
Twizzle awoke to the chipper tones of a newer member Dusty, raising his head and blinking his glassy yellow eyes as he half listened. "Good morning! It's a beautiful day isn't it? Even though there is a chill in the air. What might we be doing today do you think? I would love to go hunt and stretch my limbs. But also, we should probably mark the perimeter of our camp so that no one intrudes, and to warn predators of our presence." Twizzle yawned, uninterested by the words of the cheerful young male. Climbing to his paws, Twizzle's slick marigold gaze found Rowan easily amongst the many wolves that their group contained. "Today's plans will be discussed once everyone is awake and functioning." The milk chocolate male gaze a half-hearted nod in acknowledgement to the dull caramel wolf's words. Pushing his ebony socked paws outward, the male curved his back inward so he could stretch. Feeling his muscles pulling felt wonderful so he forced his chest outward, stretching his hind legs. The chocolate male cracked his neck by pulling it from side to side before straightening upward and shaking out his mildly ragged pelt.
A small, rare smile appeared upon Twizzle's face as he heard the joyful voices of the two pups who had taken shelter within their group. "I hunt too!" Twizzle suppressed a larger smile when he watched Mint jump on Dusty's tail. Twizzle lifted his nose upward, testing the air only to find that there were two new scents in the area. The chocolate pelted wolf turned to Rowan who was already on it. Twizzle stood tall with ears pressed forward however he only showed authority in his body language, any dominance shown and Rowan could turn on him. After all, Rowan was the Alpha figure of these rogues. The darkly pelted male's glassy gaze narrowed as he watched the warmly colored male look upon the group with blank eyes. "It seems that there is a promising group occupying this area, no? I'd like to contribute any help that anyone may need." Twizzle flicked an ear at the words spoken before turning his head toward a rather pretty female who spoke with a more gentle voice. "Hello there!"
Twizzle looked toward Wingnut as she shared her helpful opinion and the male nodded in silent agreement. "Indeed." He kept from mentioning that it seemed that the cream pup, Joy, liked the alabaster female. He also didn't fail to notice Rowan's likeness toward her in the way he relaxed the slightest in her presence. A wolf that they felt comfortable around was sure to be accepted. "What are your names?" Rowan asked the two and Twizzle could only hope that they might save time and add why they were there and what they had to offer.

It was almost unbearable, the number of scents that bombarded her nose. They were everywhere, all around her. Why, oh why did she come to this part of the lands? Oh yes, that's why. There was a lovely trail of auburn leaves that had caught her attention, stringing her along until they abruptly ended and left her alone and surrounded by scents. Thank goodness, she hadn't encountered any of the scents yet, and none of them had found her yet either. That would be awful, and she might just have a heart attack if someone jumped out at her again. However, all was not awful for the young Iberian she-wolf. A drifting insect, it's exoskeleton shimmering in the light caught her attention. Her childish innocence took over her again, and she trotted after it as well as she could with her frame coiled so tightly in submission. It's soft hum comforted the young lady as she moved across the edge of the brush lands, and for a few moments, she was at somewhat peace. The dappled light streaming through the falling leaves left larger patches of light on the ground as she moved, which the tiny she-wolf relished in as she followed her flying beetle. It landed on a thin blade of grass, yellowed and dead, but with the iridescent insect perched on it, it was quite beautiful. However, now scents were much closer. When she finally tuned back into her surroundings, her yellow-green eyed widened and she froze completely. Through the thin vegetation, she could see a small butt wiggle before it launched at another wolf. Flashbacks of her ordeal rushed her head, and she began to tear up. Her legs collapsed underneath her and she began to sob openly, but quickly snapped her jowls shut, fearing that she would be next in the list of victims of the tiny she-wolf. Her russet and black body shook with her sobs and out of sheer fear that she would be discovered. Her cheeks were wet, and her heart sank; her first sobs were obviously too loud, and were definitely heard by the pair of wolves. She had just signed her life off, and the young she-wolf had no hope of escaping the vicious attack she simply knew was going to occur soon. She curled her shaking body into a circle, and tried to make herself as small as possible while tucking her head down closer to her furry stomach. @sollux, @eleven

| Three weeks. Zero had been tracking Kaname for three damned weeks. His mind plagued of what would happen to his beloved Yoki and best friend Luke. Would he and Seven have their pups by the time he returned? Was Zero successful with Yoki? He had just confessed his love when the handsome fucking devil had to corrupt his perfect life. Why did nothing good last for the poor beast. How long would this everlasting war between two parts of darkness and insanity end? The two males both were driven, nay, lived for killing the other. It would end when one had their throat ripped out by the others jaws. No other death would do.
The scent was strong in this rogue land. It was deep and made the ivory brute want to gag. The scent repulsed him to the very core. It reminded him of everything he wanted to leave behind. Of everything he wanted to forget. There were a few rogue scents but none even slightly peeked Zero's interest. The land was scattered with high blades of grass and dying underbrush due to the chilling weather. Was it the ideal land for blood shed? Probably not. Yet any place was an ideal place to kill the piece of shit that caused his family's death.
A snarl ripped from his throat, breaths coming in fast and short bursts through his leathery nose. His mind was dissolving into red once more. Everything he had caged up, everything he had accomplished was slowly crumbling down. He had to grip onto his sanity. He had sworn to never become the monster he once was again. Yet Kaname was a trigger. The mere sound of the silk-like howl at the borders was near enough to push Zero over the edge. The demons caging at his mind and soul now working together to knock down the walls. To seep through the cracks they were creating in his wanton sanity. Red seeped through the outer corners of his peripheral vision, reality becoming distorted as his grip on his sanity slowly slipped from his grasp. To ward it away, the beast gave a quick shake to his giant head with a growl, saliva flicking to the sides. Yet the red just came back stronger.
"Kaname!" Zero practically roared out, loud and clear. Demonic and insane. Anger throbbed through every single vein running through his large body. "Come out and fight me you fucking coward! Are you not tired of running away?" He knew that was a sensitive jab at the oaken male. Because while Zero and his father had fought, Kaname had ran. Deserting the battle grounds once everyone was dead besides from Zero. | OOC: Rogues don't step into this fight. You will get hurt badly. Tagged: @kaname |

Kaname
Eloquently, mocha limbs strode into a Rogue-abundant territory with a sense of purpose, each movement fueled by pumps of adrenaline, and confidence. Chest tingling with anticipation mingled with desire, Kaname’s rasped breaths echoed softly in his pricked ears, patched and rocky with the need for release. He waited weeks for the perfect opportunity, slowly allowed Zero to sink in his hazy mindset of bloodlusty insanity. In his own opinion, the upper paw was already cast to himself. Whilst this alabaster fatass would be stuck in a rage ridden fury, Kaname could keep a level head. Sure, it would be hard, especially in the presence of this scum. Additionally, he had a few less pounds than his opponent, granting him a speed Zero would be unable to grasp within his writhing form of idiocy. He could already picture it, Zero pinned underneath him, being torn into a ragdoll. But, would this be the time for the alabaster brute to die? Or should he allow the pathetic heap to live, to live everyday in reminder that he had been beaten?
Walking in loops and circles, an excited chuckle of energy pressed past his lips as he coated the area in a confusing layer of his scent. This way, if the brute tried to track him down after their little brawl, finding which direction he went in would be quite the difficult task. Brushing across trees, Kaname allowed his deep gaze to search the ground, his optics picking out the perfect spot. Aha. The ground here was muddy and thick, not only did he wish to hide his scent, but he would be all that more difficult to grip if that trash decided to even attempt at wounding him. Pushing himself into the mud, the cocky beast coated himself in the revolting substance. Perfect. Stepping out of the thick substance, Kaname resisted the urge to shake his pelt and rid himself of this odd sensation, but instead settled himself in the thick brush, awaiting the arrival of Zero.
He didn’t have to wait long.
"Kaname! Come out and fight me you fucking coward! Are you not tired of running away?" Now rigid with fierce anger, the muscled wolf took a moment to inhale silently, making his long-time enemy wait. Ickle-Zero would have to be patient! Slowly, a half grin rolled across his features, knowing the longer he waited, his enemy would get more, and more pissed. It was hilarious, to see the raspy breaths of pure anger. He was in that odd cage of his, where killing was the usual. The sad thing was, his need to kill Kaname would not be fulfilled. Never. He would have to live with the endless torture of knowing that Kaname, in all his glory, was still walking. His torture for Zero anything but over. He had plans, rich, beautiful plans. Though they may not be a face-to-face interaction, he was very, very aware that this would do so well in enraging the male. But, there was nothing he could do about it.
Pressing his weight onto his haunches, mocha limbs suddenly sprung forwards with practiced ease, hitting the ground with a soft huff. Hopefully, if Zero didn’t notice Kaname’s position so near, he could hook his right limb over the white brute’s back, pushing his weight onto the snow kissed male. If succeeded, he would thrust his weight forwards, hopefully at least unbalancing the swine, or at the best, causing him to crumple underneath the sudden weight. If Zero remained standing, Kaname would intentionally hook his teeth around the foul male’s scruff, pulling and shoving him downwards, increasing the pressure on his neck and back immensely, all the while being slicked with mud, rubbing some off on Zero as well. “Now, now. That’s no way to speak to your superior, is it, Zero?” He sneered through icy fur, his chest twitching in soft laughter.
If Zero had crumpled underneath Kaname, the mocha hued asshole would take a single paw, and press it into the wolf’s head, hopefully pressing it into the ground, all the while twisting the limb so his claws would scratch the top of his opponent’s head. Lowering his cranium, sharp canines would dig into the back of his neck, savagely ripping and shredding at skin and flesh. “Running away is your move now.” He said, his voice sickly amused. He nearly pouted, this wasn’t fun, though. He needed this to be glorious. A challenge, not this pathetic excuse for a fight. “One more chance for ickle-Zero.” He sneered, bounding off the male to a safe distance away.
On the other paw, if Zero had heard and located Kaname before he could attack, the mocha male would skitter to the right suddenly, kicking up mud and dirt. If the male had not managed to grab him within this time, the mud-slicked lupine would lunge forwards, clashing Zero head-to-head, aiming to snap his teeth around his opponent’s muzzle, his front paws smashing into his shoulders, his hind legs secured into the ground. Of course this was a slightly risky position, and he would be easily pushed backwards, especially considering Zero’s advantage in weight. Kaname just hoped that in his hazed position this tiny slip-up would go unnoticed.
If Zero had managed to grip Kaname, it was his time to use the mud to his advantage. Going completely limp, he allowed every muscle of his body to relax, completely dead-weighting on Zero. Not only would the strain of his own weight on Zero be a reason to release, the slippery mud would prove to be a slight challenge to hold onto. If his opponent let go, he would simply roll to the side and jolt up with a cocky grin. If not, he would instead rely on brute strength to snap, claw, push, and bite at the alabaster form of Zero.

| The disgusting scent filled Zero's senses. Of course it would, it's owner was just as obnoxious. There was a quick and sudden pressure behind him, the feeling of hot fangs sliding into flesh on his scruff made the Beta let out something between a startled noise of pain and a growl. “Now, now. That’s no way to speak to your superior, is it, Zero?” . Said beast only grew louder. The mutt capturing him was nothing more than a parasite. A disgusting mistake an Alpha made. A child who constantly ran and only paraded themselves on their birth-right title.
Zero's legs buckled under the heavy brutes pressure. A paw pressed on his snowy cranium as Zero's teeth clashed in open air. Biting at nothing but the beautiful bastards direction. Sudden pain pumped through his blood as well honed in teeth tore at his flesh. “Running away is your move now. One more chance for ickle-Zero.” the mocha male said as he scampered a little bit away.
Zero was immediately up on all fours, teeth bared as saliva dripped from his open mouth. Blood staining white fur like how it once did. This was Zero's prime. "You've never been anything but a dictators son," came a voice that was not his own, it was demonic, twisted. "Your father was dead before you even got the chance." He cackled before launching himself forward.
Using his full weight, the large ivory male would slam into Kaname, hopefully to knock him off balance, once the muddy swine was knocked down, Zero's dagger like teeth would go to town on the juncture between neck and shoulder, blood pouring into his mouth and claws dug into brown-hued chest and shoulder. Red eyes widened at the familiar taste he hadn't had in so long. Oh how he longed for this one last time. Gripping the flesh, Zero would snap his head, yanking it back and fourth to draw as much blood as possible.
If he had not knocked him off balance, Zero would quickly latch on to the scruff of the bane of his existence's neck, fangs digging in deep before roughly yanking the male down to the ground, mud slipping between their paws. Once he was down, Zero would then use his paws to push down on his windpipe, jaws snapping at a brown muzzle before clamping down on it.
If he had missed, the giant ivory beast would jerk his head to the side to catch the tail of his opponent between his canines, before roughly dragging the male - still using the velocity of the run-up, causing his icy-colored paws to skid. Loose flesh and fur fill his mouth as his jaw locks, quickly standing up on his hind legs, Zero would crash down onto Kaname's frame using his front paws. Letting go of the tail for teeth to latch onto Kaname's back or thigh. | OOC: I'll have him die with Yoki and the kids Tagged: @kaname |

"What are your names?" Rowan gritted out, eyeing the two strangers as well as he could with only one eye. Wingnut turned to her brother, bright amber eyes watching to see his judgement of the two rogues. Two heads were better than one when it came to making decisions, even though Wingnut didn't often work with others. Though her words likely counted for little in Rowan's head, Wingnut still continued to observe the pair of rogues that had approached, scanning her harsh eyes over their frames individually, focusing on the male more than the female. They seemed to share a social awkwardness that Wingnut picked up on almost immediately, as it was a trait that they both shared and was something rare to her. While she waited for a response, she continued to scan their frames, not knowing or caring that it may make them uncomfortable. Alpha Rowan @twizzle @rain @joy @tadase Guardian Raisa @chipara @dusty

For the few minutes that had passed, Maleah had coiled herself so tightly that all of the muscles in her tiny body screamed in pain. Though she was hurting, she did not move. Her russet and black form lay as still as possible, involuntary shudders racking through her body with every breath. Those few minutes passed like years, each second taking hours. Petrified, Maleah refused to move until she couldn't hear any other sounds than the grasses moving around her. Slowly, ever so slowly, did she move her head, bringing it out from underneath her paws. Glassy yellow-green eyes slowly took in her scenery, her head rotating at a snail's pace as she finally registered herself as not found. She was safe. As safe as she was going to be with wolves constantly trying to attack her. Tear stained cheeks pressed themselves into the dirt, rubbing the earthy scent all over her face before the rest of her body unlocked itself as much as it could and followed the motion. Tense limbs sifted through the dirt, trying to stay as quiet as possible. There were still wolves all around her, and she didn't want to be ironically found because of her efforts to hide herself. It took much longer than other times she had bathed in dirt, but Maleah was finally at the last stage. She absolutely hated it, but it was necessary to keep her scent concealed. While most of her movements had been excruciatingly slow, now she needed to move quickly, and finish her action as soon a possible. Dark limbs pushed the tiny she-wolf onto her back where she wriggled spastically. Her stomach lay open to attack above her as she moved as quickly as possible, not wanting a wolf to come along and rip her to shreds. Adrenaline pumped through her veins as she completed covering herself in the earthy scent. She had survived, and in her mind, just barely. A few more seconds and one of that she-wolf that attacked the other wolf could've found and killed her. Finally getting her small frame back on four paws, Maleah barely cleared the ground. Her stomach fur was within centimeters of wiping on the dirt as she began to move, her legs keeping her in a hunter's crawl with her tail pressed firmly up against her stomach. Her ears pinned themselves to the back of her skull and the whites of her eyes showed as she skittishly glanced at every sound, fearing for her life. As the Iberian wolf moved, nature continued around her, the birds especially drilling themselves into Maleah's head. She didn't exactly have a direction she wanted to go, so when she could spare a glance, she tried to find the birds in the trees. It was a risky movement, her neck was more exposed when she looked directly up, but the beautiful birds momentarily distracted her from the peril she was in every time she spotted one. One in particular caught her attention, its blue plumage sticking out in the sea of auburn and russet that she was glancing up to see. Subconsciously, Maleah adjusted her course, following the pretty bird as it hopped from branch to branch and soon began to fly away. -Exit to Into The Valley-

Raisa hadn't seen all the wolves that were there, but as they all approached, she seemingly felt a little outnumbered if they were attack. Most of them were large, and completely would win against her in a fight. But the small she-wolf knew that her beautiful features would possibly help her stray away from fighting for the moment. Bringing herself to look towards a sandy colored wolf, he seemed to be looking her up and down. She wanted to know what he was exactly staring at, but she wouldn't ask. Giving a look towards who seemingly was the leader, she would listen to the other rogues with less interest as they talked about how she would be good with hunting, but not more so for fighting. Someone didn't exactly need strength to win a battle, just have wits enough to keep themselves out of harms way, wear their opponent down, and then go for the final strike. Being small, Raisa needed to know how to win battles, and how she could do it with the least amount of effort as possible. The more effort a wolf put into battle, the more stamina they lose throughout. Bringing herself to eye the wolf that had said things about her and the other wolf that approached, she gave a small unhappy look towards the she-wolf. She seemed to be the type that didn't care about others, and those kinds of wolves were the reason some of the population would never be able to trust again, nor would the wolf world be able to be a happy place for most. A small pup ran up at that time, and it seemed she was either in a rush, or something had spooked her. She was a really cute little thing, and Raisa was a little excited that there were pups around. Giving a smile towards the little she-wolf pup, she replied to her good morning. "Good Morning to you as well," She said, rose colored eyes glimmering with happiness as she looked down on the little pup. Perking her ears, she listened as the stranger male that was the seeming leader of the group asked her name. "My name is Raisa. I'm not here to harm anyone, I simply was looking for some wolves to travel with," She said, giving a look over the other wolves that stood in front of her. "What are your names?" She asked, looking towards them. She wanted to get to know the pup and the dusty colored male before anyone else, but she knew that being polite was the best she could do for right now. She didn't want to piss off the male leader, and get sent away, especially when she had been able to get close enough to speak to a wolf for once. Alpha Rowan @dusty @joy @twizzle @wingnut

Lavender
Something about autumn gave Lavender a huge pep in her step. While it may not have been her favorite season, it was her second favorite. What was there not to love about this time of year? Plants change from greens to beautiful golds and reds, the air becomes more crisp and nights are dedicated to staying warm and snuggled next to those you love. Not to mention the scents that filled the air. Everything was just wonderful. Nothing could possibly ruin her day.
Flickering ivory ears, she frolicked about, humming a folk tune her mother taught her. Stopping to look at some leaves fall from the trees, a bright grin ripped across her maw as she raced forward and caught one mid-air. The leaf had not yet dried out and was soft against her velvet tongue. Holding her prize proudly within her teeth, she spun a little circle before laying the golden star on the ground.
Moving her small body forward, she flicked her tail happily. Moving about some trees, she did not care where she was going; or if she was even going in straight lines, which she wasn't. She had happened to make several circles and a figure eight while she pranced around giddily. Her upbeat mood keeping her unfocused and her sense of direction off kilter. Finally coming to a stop in a small clearing with three large trees, she sat her rump down, tail beating against the earth in a happy rhythm.
Bringing her inky nose to the air, she twitched it about as she attempted to gather information. She could smell so many rogues here that it made her head spin. Spin with happiness. "New friends," she whispered happily, followed by an excitable giggle. Jumping to all fours she bounded forward, hazelnut eyes bright with excitement. Following the scents, she let her mind wonder. Who could these wolves be? Is it a group? A hunting party? Are they friendly? Would they take her in?
She had no goals when leaving her family pack. She only wanted to explore and learn about the world. Whether she settled down or she kept moving, she didn't know. She just wanted to be happy and to achieve happiness any way she could. Lavender also had curiosity about packs. She was only a part of a rogue group, her ma and pa, and two brothers. Never a hierarchy. Never rules besides kindness and caution, she obviously ignored the later.
Quickly throwing caution to the wind, she approached the group happily. Friendliness sweeping from every which way. She was a happy, go lucky girl, and she wouldn't stop just because she was meeting strangers. Looking over the group, she noticed a beaten male but still held dominance in his figure. Wagging her tail, she gave him the biggest smile she could muster. Turning she spotted a few more wolves, some seemed to be with the male while others seemed to be like herself, just coming to the group.
"Good day!" she called happily, waltzing up with a spring in her step. "My name is Lavender, but you can call me Lav. What's your name? What happened to you? Do you need help? I know some basics of healing. Why do you have this group? Are you an Alpha? Should I bow?" she rambled off questions as her mind moved forward quickly. At the last question, she moved her front legs done, folding them as she did a humble type of play bow, eyes seeming to look everywhere and at everything. Her tail hadn't stopped wagging since she met the group and her voice practically quivered with joy.

Chipara "It is abhorrent to me when fine intelligence is paired with an unsavory character."
Chipara observed with dull eyes as a rather uniquely beautiful wolf drew closer to himself, and the male he had so boldly approached. Locking his eyes with her own, the almost mirror mental image of himself studied him, with the ginger male quickly doing the same. It was almost odd, the way she held herself. Robotic and stiff. How familiar. Perhaps they could share a... what was it? Oh, a conversation. Turning back to the singular eyed male, the lanky male quietly watched his expression as the bitch beside him muttered - what Chipara assumed was - her opinion of himself, and the peppy female he chose to ignore. She was standing far to close for his liking. Shifting his weight to the side farther away from her, he eyed her expressionlessly, as if he was afraid her joy would rub off on him.
"Chipara." He rumbled quietly, after being inquired. He wrinkled his nose momentarily, debating whether or not to speak. Shaking his head to himself, he opted for silence. No words were needed when it came to proving his usefulness. He had skills, no doubt about it. These skills could be put to the test, instead of leaving him to ramble egotistically about himself.

Atka had been traveling alone for 3 moons. His paws ached, his fur was matted, and his very mind felt as if it had gone to rot from the endless hours of silence and self reflection the past few months had put him through. Sure, he had scented other wolves on the breeze a time or two during his travels up from his home in the southern parts of the pack lands, but he had never actually taken the initiative to go and speak to the others. He would never admit it, but a thin dagger of fear pierced him at the thought of others. Fragile and small as that dagger may be, it had still prevented him thus far from finding a group. Jeez, he thought to himself, when you left home you were intent on finding a pack- how do you think a pack will receive you if you can't even find a group of rogues to call companions? Not that he was worried, companions would come in time, no need to rush things. The only other wolf he had ever known had been his mother, wild spirit as she was. It had been a hard upbringing, one he could only describe as war-like, and it always had felt like he was just on the brink of losing. The patch of woods occupied by him and his mother simply was not big enough for the two of them, and while he had no doubt in his mind that his mother would have attempted to chase him off eventually, he didn't give her the chance. At 2 years old, Atka had left his home in search of not only an existence where he felt wanted and useful, but also a sense of purpose, a community, he wanted to be a cog in some great machine, not some scheming loner doomed to waste away to nothing, leaving behind no legacy but the bones and fur that might possible become the meal of some vermin. Atka was roused out of these dark thoughts by a warm scent on the wind, a group of wolves was right up ahead, closer than Atka would have liked on such short notice- he should really be more careful to pay attention to his surroundings when out on his own like this. And yet- his gut told him that he should approach these wolves, after all what is there to gain without a little risk? Padding loudly as to not startle anyone, Atka emerged from the underbrush and sat at the edge of the clearing. He decided to wait a bit before approaching, it looked like the group was already in the midst of a conversation anyways. He appraised the group from a distance- they seemed amicable enough, one of them more so than the others as he observed an almost cute play-bow. Always good to see friendly faces like that, Atka thought, remembering the few times his mother had played with him as a pup, the kindness in her eyes had shown through like a sunbeam through clouds- and just a fleeting. But quick as it was, it taught him what kindness looked like, a valuable skill if one was to find suitable friends. Exhaling softly, Atka made up his mind and called out to the group an unobtrusive greeting "Hello there!"

.:. Time Skip .:.
Quite a while had passed since the two young wolves had taken one another as companions, traveling on and on through the brush lands. It had been several weeks already, and the pair had grown closer. Friends - best friends, even, if the dusty male dared to think so highly of her. While their friendship had grown, they too had grown as individuals. Sollux himself had grown larger, coming ever closer to his full adult size. He was growing into his long, lanky limbs, though they still gave him a rather gangly appearance, as he had put on only a little muscle.
Now, the pair padded through the tall, dry grass. The golden stalks were almost identical in hue to his own pelt, leaving him a ghost among the brittle plants. He was aware of Eleven’s smaller presence beside him, could hear her pawsteps so close to him. A moment later, however, they vanished suddenly. With a start, Sollux froze, glancing frantically around through wide bicolored eyes. He did not, however, see her form amongst the grass.
Suddenly, a blur of dusty hues launched toward him, leaping onto his back. A startled yelp escaped the young male. His head whipped toward his assailant. His rose and chocolate eyes flooded with relief, however, when they locked onto Eleven, playfully perched against him.
"I gotcha!" the smaller female yipped gleefully. Sollux smiled and wiggled around, attempting to dislodge her. If he was successful in his endeavor, he would look down at the female and playfully lisp, “Is that so?” If not, he would nip gently at her flank, grinning through it all.
@eleven
OOC: Sorry for the long wait (especially you, Maleah , considering you had to move on since I took so long!). And for the bad post as well, I’m a bit low on muse for Sollux. I’m not entirely sure what to do with him now that Eleven’s roleplayer is leaving the site.

Rowan "Do not judge my story by the chapter you walked in on." He could tell that his wolves were growing curious, perhaps even restless, as the the two new-comers held their introductions on the tips of their tongues. Rowan didn't exactly care how long it took them to spit out their damn names, as they as he got them in the end. "My name is Raisa. I'm not here to harm anyone, I simply was looking for some wolves to travel with," the pretty white female was the first to reply, giving the male an excuse to look at her and notice the rose colour of her gleaming eyes. A peculiar yet intriguing sight indeed. The male answered with a more-so bland response. "Chipara." It was a short and sweet response that Rowan could appreciate, especially as his temper was beginning to spike upon the arrival of yet another couple of scents. His singular optic glared as another white female entered the clearing. If anyone else was to appear he would have to start thinking about marking the perimeter of their area more thoroughly. "Good day! My name is Lavender, but you can call me Lav. What's your name? What happened to you? Do you need help? I know some basics of healing. Why do you have this group? Are you an Alpha? Should I bow?" This she-wolf did not keep it short and sweet, and instead began throwing questions at Rowan with an assaulting amount of speed. The male had to hold back a snarl of annoyance as he considered which answers he would answer. "My name is Rowan. What happened to me is none of your business, and no, I don't need help." He began quite bluntly, trying not to be too harsh as Lavender had offered him help, and he therefore could not bring himself to be too cold to such a thoughtful soul. "I built this group with survival in mind. We help each other. And no, I am not an Alpha at all." Though he was the 'leader' of the group, he wasn't about to flaunt his responsibility, especially to someone who was so naive. He brought himself to look at all three of them, silver iris flickering between the trio as he considered what they might be able to offer to his group. Chipara seemed like the kind of brute that could fend for himself, he'd do well in hunts where Rowan could no longer perform. Raisa was slim and lithe, an agile runner if anything. Lavender had mentioned basic healing skills, and that was enough for Rowan.
"The three of you are very welcome to join our numbers, and you will be able to prove your skills in this morning's tasks." He said with a nod, bringing himself to stand and moving with a swish of his tail to stand before the entirety of the group, looking over each of them as he spontaneously decided what they would be doing for this morning. "Chipara, Twizzle, Wingnut and Dusty, you four will going on a hunt for today. I will accompany and oversee, but I'm afraid that I will not be able to participate." Rowan then shifted his sight towards Rain, probably his most trusted companion so far. She would be the one to keep the area in check. He wasn't sure if she had fully recovered from their last hunting incident, so he wouldn't dare risk her safety yet again. "I would like you to stay behind with Raisa, take the pups and re-mark the borders of our area. Lavender, feel free to accompany them and scout for any herbs that you may want to use in the future." He gave a nod to the female that he had left in charge before giving a stern gaze to his group of hunters. Rowan simply gave another swish of his tail, a signal for the wolves to follow before he began to move into the trees, his gait sure and steady as he began to cut through the withering forest. The clearing were they usually hunted was a little bit of a trip, so hopefully all of the hunters that he had chosen were keeping close and weren't straying too far.
