Another candidate joined the numbers. Joy didn't quite understand the concept of her name; perhaps the poor wolf really thought she was a plant. Judging the unpracticed burst of utterance, Joy was concerned that there was something wrong with her. The sonorous effect of "Lavender's" exclamation inclined Joy's ears backwards as well as a few of her feet. She comforted her scruff into her new mother's front legs and led her cranium to the ground to hide her nose in its cool grass. Rowan's resonant voice sounded like nothing but thunder, but the masculine nucleus of this male and his striking tone still found Joy's reverence in that she felt safe everywhere in his proximity. If she could unperturbedly sleep out in the open space of a savage forest, then Joy would express no complaint about her protector. Also shining with familial-type energy was the one who arrived as Chipara. Unable to confirm the name in her head, she settled for remembering him as "Chip." Like Rowan, he was male and exuded a masculine comfort that Joy could rest within to escape all anxiety, though she preferred the feminine form of this feeling, which she actively took part in as she sat under Raisa's chest. Chip was calmer. He was intriguing and Joy was determined to, eventually--should he stay, find out what sort of thoughts were stuck so quietly in his head. A fragrant voice suffused Joy's downward ears, persuading them to reach back up again with energy and utmost absorption. "Joy," she said with an uprisen trail on the word, sounding much like she was asking a question. Her voice was quiet--she was entranced, and still half-asleep, and her tail slowly wagged side to side, swiping over the dew on the grass. Rain watched silently as Raisa introduced herself to the group and then asked for everyone elses names. She wouldn't respond back until Rowan gave them the all ok to join the group or not. If they weren't, names didn't really matter since they weren't going to be staying, but it seems that no one would get the chance to respond to Raisa anyways since another while female came bounding in. She was strange, throwing all caution to the wind coming in like that, tail wagging and happy. She didn't know if the group she was meeting was friendly or not but still. Rain glances at Rowan when the new female starts bombarding him with questions and to be honest, Rain has to hold herself back from laughing when she looks at the bowing female. The male introduced himself next as Chipara quietly. Seems he wasn't one to start talking randomly and ramble either, though Raisa didn't mind talking, the other one didn't stop. Rain again glances at Rowan to see what he will do about these three wolves only to see his annoyance at the non stop and questioning the one female did. The three would do well with this group, maybe, only time can tell if they would stay or leave like the others did. Rowan spoke then and it seems like his mind was made up, they were staying. Good, they could help out with the hunting and protecting of the many pups here. "Chipara, Twizzle, Wingnut and Dusty, you four will going on a hunt for today. I will accompany and oversee, but I'm afraid that I will not be able to participate." Rowan states before turning to look at her and then addressing her. "I would like you to stay behind with Raisa, take the pups and re-mark the borders of our area. Lavender, feel free to accompany them and scout for any herbs that you may want to use in the future." Rain nods in understanding, "Of course Rowan, safe hunting." Rain watches them go for a moment before turning her head to look at the others. "My name is Rain for those that don't know." She nods to Raisa and Lavender and hopes that the Lavender will join them on their little patrol. It wouldn't feel right leaving her here alone, especially when other wolves could walk in like they did not to long ago. "Come on, we have borders to attend to." Rain says as she stands and gives herself a good shake to loosen her muscles. tags- Alpha Rowan Guardian Raisa @chipara @lavender @joy

Twizzle "Some Say I Judge. I Just Label For Convenience."
Twizzle didn't sit or make himself comfortable. Instead he kept standing, piercing yellow eyes starring relentlessly at the two new wolves until the female spoke. "Good Morning to you as well," Her first words were named at Joy and Twizzle's stare relaxed slightly at her soothing tones. Pup's didn't have the greatest judgment in character but if Joy saw her as safe then Twizzle would look upon her with only minimal suspicion for the moment. "My name is Raisa. I'm not here to harm anyone, I simply was looking for some wolves to travel with," The chocolate nodded his head slightly before placing his narrowed eyes on the apricot male. "Chipara." His voice was flat and professional. It was a fine response, especially since he could see Rowan's temper rising. He quickly found the reason for this as the scent of a third wolf invaded his nose. Twizzle stepped forward, as a pearly female barged into the clearing. He let a snarl pull at his lips to reveal his teeth though he made no other signs of aggression toward her.
"Good day! My name is Lavender, but you can call me Lav. What's your name? What happened to you? Do you need help? I know some basics of healing. Why do you have this group? Are you an Alpha? Should I bow?" Twiz swallowed back his annoyance, lowering his lips back over his teeth. This female wasn't a threat. Instead, she was immature and, in his opinion, naive. But she could be tolerated and dealt with easily enough and that was all that mattered. "My name is Rowan. What happened to me is none of your business, and no, I don't need help. I built this group with survival in mind. We help each other. And no, I am not an Alpha at all." The milk chocolate wolf glanced at Rowan who seemed to be dealing with this female even worse than he was.
"The three of you are very welcome to join our numbers, and you will be able to prove your skills in this morning's tasks." Twizzle glanced back at the new members, eyes flashing over them before falling back on Rowan. The brute stood before what was virtually his group and began to announce the day's agenda. "Chipara, Twizzle, Wingnut and Dusty, you four will going on a hunt for today. I will accompany and oversee, but I'm afraid that I will not be able to participate." The lithe brute bobbed his head silently in response as Rowan turned toward Rain to speak. "I would like you to stay behind with Raisa, take the pups and re-mark the borders of our area. Lavender, feel free to accompany them and scout for any herbs that you may want to use in the future."
Twizzle stretched his legs and back, returning to a stand in preparation for the hunt soon to happen.

Dusty was fairly intrigued by the new comers. Chipara held himself quite calmly and Raisa also seemed to be around the same temperament, however, she was more open within her sentences. Then, a brand new wolf appeared with a personality quite equal to the sandy male's own traits. She was boisterous and full of energy. Maybe even the female equivalent of himself. He could tell immediately that he and the newcomer would get along quite well. He couldn't quite keep his eyes off of Raisa, he couldn't quite understand why himself, other than the fact that she was quite the sight to look at and since Joy seemed to have quite an interest in her, then she must be a good soul. It was when Rowan spoke that Dusty found himself out of his trance.
His assertive and booming voice had welcomed the three newcomers into the pack and Dusty could hardly contain his excitement. He stood with his ears slightly pulled back and began to wag his tail in a helicopter type fashion. "Welcome to our humble abode! I hope you can find comfort and friends here while you stay! I for one am exhilarated to see that you all have been accepted!" He was just beginning to word vomit to his new group mates about life and where they had come from, when Rowan had called his name for a hunting party. He was a little disappointed that the introductions would have to wait, but he wouldn't be gone forever. Shaking off his excess energy, he regrouped with the other members of the hunting party and stretched his legs before heading out with his companions.
OOC: Sincerest apologies for the late post, and such a short one at that. I currently have low muse thanks to all the Veterinary homework I am receiving. I hope this post can move the story along though!

Mint "Curiouser And Curiouser!"
The small Coywolf felt the sudden pause in the air, or thought he felt it. There were new wolves here! Their scents were right there and he could smell them clearly. He leapt upward, face beaming with happiness and excitement as he bounced forward toward the new wolves. They were both pretty. Or... the white one was pretty and the orange one was... handsome. He wagged his tail uncontrollably as he looked up at the big wolves, almost vibrating with excitement and adrenaline. He lifted his head to look up at the darker autumn colored male, head tilted with curiosity and interest. "Hi!" Mint's chirp was bubbly and quick, his obvious excitement pouring over the edges. "It seems that there is a promising group occupying this area, no? I'd like to contribute any help that anyone may need." Wow! This wolf knew some big words! Mint felt awe creeping over him but the feeling was soon replaced with confusion. Where was his friend? He looked around a moment, hoping to spot her. The Coywolf easily spotted her by the pretty white female and was soon to follow suit as to not be left out of anything.
The fluff ball seated himself by Joy, still watching the male and female in a back-and-forth way. If he was older he would have been actually studying them but at the time he was merely gazing longingly toward one, then the other. Mint flicked his ears to the side, managing to bring his softly hued eyes away for a moment to spy Wingnut speaking to Rowan. Whatever she said, it sounded positive. "My name is Raisa. I'm not here to harm anyone, I simply was looking for some wolves to travel with," Raisa, that was a nice name. He hoped Rowan and the other wolves thought so too. "What are your names?" Mint could barely wait while Joy softly, almost whispered, her name. When she had finished speaking, Mint quickly hopped in. "I Mint!" The Coywolf proudly puffed out his velvety white breast, gazing up at the female with a slight bit of confidence now included in his merry face.
Now that he was standing, mint decided that staying mobile was easier. That way he could visit all the wolves. "Good day! My name is Lavender, but you can call me Lav. What's your name? What happened to you? Do you need help? I know some basics of healing. Why do you have this group? Are you an Alpha? Should I bow?" Mint frowned thoughtfully. Lavender. Did he know that plant? Maybe she liked lavender, just like he liked mint. Her amount of questions slightly overwhelmed the young fluff ball as he might have just found a wolf as energetic as himself. Mint wagged his tail hopefully, though hopeful for what, he didn't know. Ears perked and face continuing to beam. He stepped forward with the words ready to roll from his mouth as they sat on the tip of his tongue. The heavy and masculine tones of Rowan were quick to stop him, for the moment anyways. His words were blunt and had the edge of someone who was losing their temper. "My name is Rowan. What happened to me is none of your business, and no, I don't need help. I built this group with survival in mind. We help each other. And no, I am not an Alpha at all." He isn't?
"The three of you are very welcome to join our numbers, and you will be able to prove your skills in this morning's tasks." Mint forgot his previous plan and instead gave a merry, coyote-like yap that was supposed to be something more of a bark in his glee. "Chipara, Twizzle, Wingnut and Dusty, you four will going on a hunt for today. I will accompany and oversee, but I'm afraid that I will not be able to participate." The Coywolf pup didn't immediately hear his name spoken and he wagged his tail pleadingly. Instead, the big male turned toward Rain and spoke to her in a voice that intimate friends might use with one another. "I would like you to stay behind with Raisa, take the pups and re-mark the borders of our area." Then he was speaking to the bubbly wolf and still not him. "Lavender, feel free to accompany them and scout for any herbs that you may want to use in the future." Mint felt only minimal sadness when he heard Dusty's name called and not his. Dusty and the other wolves would show him and tell him what happened when they got back he was sure. Besides, he got to go explore the borders with the other wolves which wasn't a bad trade-off.
The fuzz ball trotted toward Rain as the hunting wolves got ready for their hunt, listening but not really hearing the charcoal and red female's introduction. "Come on, we have borders to attend to." He watched her give herself a good shake and, after a bit of thought, imitated the motion. It felt kinda good and he got an idea of why all the wolves he knew shook or stretched as they woke. It felt good when your muscle were all tight from a sleepy night. Maybe he should try it more often. While he was watching the other wolves get ready to go on their little trek, Mint decided then and there that this was the best time to introduce himself to Lavender. He strutted up to her, trying to keep a straight face so he would look like an adult. "I am Mint!" He nodded his head in affirmation, trying to keep an overly professional and straight face on like the adults did. It wasn't easy. But, then again, having to wait to explore was even harder.

Amber eyes snapped to the alabaster female as she began to speak. "My name is Raisa. I'm not here to harm anyone, I simply was looking for some wolves to travel with," she chirped. She seemed happy. Very happy. Silently, Wingnut swiveled her head, following the single golden pup as she scooted forwards. She stared unblinkingly at Joy as she huddled beneath Raisa's form. How odd. She could be crushed easily under there. "My name is Lavender, but you can call me Lav. What's your name? What happened to you? Do you need help? I know some basics of healing. Why do you have this group? Are you an Alpha? Should I bow?" A new voice yelled. Blanking sharply, Wingnut locked her gaze accusingly onto the new form. She seemed to be a mixture of Raisa and Joy, youthful but gleeful. This Lavender was an immediate turn off for the chocolate she-wolf. She insulted Rowan, and was just more cues to learn; more crap to put up with. "Chipara," the only male finally spoke. Rowan's question was answered. Perhaps now some progress could be made. "My name is Rowan. What happened to me is none of your business, and no, I don't need help. I built this group with survival in mind. We help each other. And no, I am not an Alpha at all," Rowan answered the barrage of questions that Lavender had thrown at him. Not an Alpha? That statement rang false in her mind. He lead the group, and therefore was at least partially an Alpha. "The three of you are very welcome to join our numbers, and you will be able to prove your skills in this morning's tasks. Chipara, Twizzle, Wingnut and Dusty, you four will going on a hunt for today. I will accompany and oversee, but I'm afraid that I will not be able to participate. I would like you to stay behind with Raisa, take the pups and re-mark the borders of our area. Lavender, feel free to accompany them and scout for any herbs that you may want to use in the future." Rowan announced. A chocolate ear flicked back with disapproval, but she dipped her head to him anyway. She accepted that Chipara and her brother were to accompany her as they hunted; the three seemed to be logical and have enough strength to execute whatever plan they made. She didn't know Chipara well at all, but from their shared mental state, she knew that they weren't going to have many problems. The cheerful Dusty was the problem. He always seemed to want to help, to add too much of his input at once. He had already expressed his joy with a series of fraudulent words to the new members of the rogue pack. At least it wasn't Lavender. Amber eyes scanned her brother, but he didn't step forwards. There was no logic in allowing Chipara or Dusty to lead the hunting party, so Wingnut stepped forwards. "I'll be taking charge of this hunt as Rowan can not. With autumn upon us, whatever prey we find will likely be skinnier, therefore weaker. However, this will also make them more desperate to stay alive. Kicks, bites, and gouges to any of you will be detrimental to the entire group. That should be starkly obvious. We should find deer most likely in this area, but boars are also a possibility. Report back which scents you all think are closest, and we will move towards them and devise a hunting plan," Wingnut barked monotonously. She raised her ebony snout to the breeze and inhaled deeply, her sharpest sense filtering out the scents in the air. Picking past the potent stench of wolf, the light scent of deer sparked a memory. The entire group's dynamic had shifted with one fateful buck. The pungent scent of boar flew into her nose, stinkier than the deer was. The hairy pig was likely closer to the group. She turned her gaze expectantly to her hunting party, needing to hear their feedback before she could proceed. Alpha Rowan @chipara @twizzle @dusty @mint @joy Guardian Raisa @lavender @rain

Eleven could feel the larger male wriggle underneath her, successfully getting away from her grasp. "Is that so?" he spoke, lisp as cute as ever, before gently nipping at her flank. El let out a squealish giggle before rising to all fours, tail swishing side to side. Sollux was always so much fun and had grown rather handsome too. Eleven had only grown a little, perhaps she was doomed to stay runt-sized forever. Her fur was paling slightly into her adult coat. Colors fading into one another more instead of just blotches, her boyish features becoming slightly more feminine. Yet still thin as a twig and cute as a button. A small playful growl, akin to a chihuahua, let slip from Eleven's throat as she smiled at the taller. Before she was about to launch again, a small sobbing noise has spilled into her ears - causing her to freeze. It wasn't coming from Sol. It was full blown sobbing by this point and Eleven quickly scurried to Sollux's side as a form of comfort and protection. Yet the wailing soon stopped and all Eleven saw was a dark figure running away. Eleven looked sadly at the small figure - no doubt any older than herself and Sollux. She would have much liked to befriend and help the poor pup out. The smaller turned to Sollux, a questioning look of 'should we go after them?'. She didn't know. Yet she didn't want to leave her best friends side for anything. So it would be up to him~

Wingnut's expectant gaze watched over each wolf, but as none seemed to speak within the time limit she had mentally set, she simply moved forwards. Why wait for wolves that couldn't follow simply instructions quickly. It was surprising that her brother, or Dusty hadn't spoken. Especially Dusty. He seemed to never cease his blabbing. She needed to get their attention back on their job. To do this, she emitted a sudden, low growl. Her eyes and face held no anger, but the sound was likely startling enough to bring the three other wolves back.
I smell boar to the East. Likely a pair. We will hunt both of them in pairs. Chipara and Twizzle will be one pair, Dusty and I will be another. We will maneuver around until we can pursue the two boars in a direction that leads past this site, but not through it. Biting at their heels will be able to slow them down, but will put your heads in danger. If you get a chance, go for the throat, but be aware. Boars are heavy, and have tusks. Getting trampled or gouged will be your own fault and you will be lucky if Lavender can heal you. Make your own plan in your pair if you must. Let's go," her monotonous monologue finally ended. She disliked that she had put herself with Dusty, but with Chipara seemingly having the same mentality as her, she didn't want to deter him from joining the group by putting him with an irrational chatterbox. Her brother would do fine. Her gaze then flicked to her hunting partner. "Think of a plan of attack. I am not going to organize the entirety of this hunt with one mind," her bored tone instructed. She was going to be disappointed in the sandy male if he said something completely illogical or nothing at all.

Getting trampled or gouged will be your own fault and you will be lucky if Lavender can heal you. Make your own plan in your pair if you must. Let's go," Twizzle looked toward Wingnut, yellow eyes flashing over his sister. Why had she put herself with Dusty? He could have handled the bubbly wolf and it was obvious that she did not think highly of the lightly hued male. "Think of a plan of attack. I am not going to organize the entirety of this hunt with one mind."
The chocolate wolf turned to his new hunting partner, studying him for a precious moment before he broke into a trot toward where Wingnut had said she scented boar. The autumn wolf, Chipara, seemed fine. Serious and driven which was easy enough to work with though a lack of communication could easily bring the hunt to a stand-still. He also seemed fully capable which meant Twizzle would hold him to pulling his own weight. "If we each move in, one on each side of the boar, we have the advantage of herding and guiding it along with an easier path to more vulnerable parts. Grabbing a front leg for example, although dangerous, can easily bring the boar to a point where one of us can deliver a killing blow. You can choose your tactics and side, I'll adjust to your preferences." Twizzle looked the male in the eye as he continued moving, assuming that he was nearby. "I believe you are more muscular than I am. If you feel comfortable with doing so, I would like you to deliver the killing blow. However, if you do not feel comfortable with doing that, I can manage it." His voice was cold and focused, attention more on relaying the outline of his ideal plan to his partner than having it make sense. Chipara seemed smart, he'd catch on at some point if he didn't now.
Slowing his pace slightly, the chocolate hued wolf focused his attention on the male for a mere moment. "Does that sound like a plan?" Twizzle lowered his voice more so that only his hunting partner would hear him, his words harsh and commanding. After saying his finale words, the Lupine increased his pace again as he expected the other three to be following him or even for his sister to be ahead. He focused his ebony masked face and piercing yellow eyes forward, keeping one ear turned toward Chipara incase the male should vocally respond. Twizzle had plunged into working mode and for the sake of time he hoped that the usually quiet wolf would respond with only a nod or something similar. Any input would have to spoken now or else it might be ignored.

Kaname
Kaname watched with narrowed brown optics as Zero rose to his feet, his alabaster opponent practically shaking with utter hatred mingled with fiery rage. It was damn amusing. While the dumbfuck across from him lashed out with saliva coated snarls and curses, Kaname’s posture and exterior remained icily cool. This was not the end, no, no. Energy must be preserved and cared for. Or else it will not blossom, and evolve. Perhaps he shouldn’t have interrupted Zero’s life? He still smelled of sickly peace and.. Another wolf. How cute. But, where was the fun in a homely life? Watching the kids tussle and play, spending time getting plump and soft hearted. It was almost revolting, and unbelievable that such a feral brute could even get close to that lifestyle. Pathetic.
Soon enough, the blood-crazed beast flung himself haphazardly towards Kaname. It was almost humorous, this wasn’t fighting! This was similar to playing with a cocky pup. Unable to suppress a grin, the mocha hued lupine pressed his weight forwards, stepping swiftly forwards, jerking his shoulder forwards, giving a few extra centimeters of space between himself and Zero. The harsh contact wouldn’t cause as much pain as discomfort, as the bone would apply more pressure on the monstrous male’s chest as he drew closer.
Lowering his head subtly, the keen wolf allowed sharpened canines to hook around the skin on his scruff, dead weighting as his opponent attempted to drag him to the ground. Zero - presumably - would draw himself over his enemy, to end the fight with a bite to the neck. Ah, but the fight would not end with the white brute’s victory. Snapping his cranium to the side, Kaname bit and snapped at the left forelimb of his opponent, before attempting to roll to the right, trying to knock the bigger wolf to his side.
If succeeded, Kaname would instantly lash towards Zero, tearing at his throat and shoulders, aiming everywhere but his windpipe. Inching closer, the handsome brute put all his effort into not simply tearing away at his windpipe, ridding the asshole of any life. But no. He must suffer longer, live and know that Kaname still stood, and walked the same land he did. He would live with the fact that he lost. Kaname won. So, he would continue. Biting and scratching at the flank, face, shoulders, ears, and neck of his opponent, covering him in unmistakable wounds.
As he finished, soft chuckles spilled from his lips as he looked down at his handiwork. Shaking his head, the tall male padded away, looking for a river to wade in, to remove whatever blood, mud, flesh and dirt clung to his fur.
If he was unable to knock Zero over, Kaname would go limp, waiting for a moment where Zero let down his guard, silently plotting another attack. All the while he would press relentlessly at his opponent’s underbelly with hind legs, scratching at the vulnerable flesh.

Seraphina had crossed the border a while ago and she was getting annoyed by the sticky red clay in some areas and the unfamiliar terrain. She could hear wolves nearby and perhaps a fight in another area but she couldn't be too sure or care any less. She stopped for a second and sniffed the air taking time to fully tune into her senses in search of water. She could hear the very faint sloshing of water and it slightly sounded like a puddle which she hoped it wasn't because she wasn't about to drink from a puddle, she wasn't at that level of thirst just yet. She started trotting in the direction of the water and soon arrived at a somewhat large pond that was surrounded by dying or dead trees and bushes. She snorted , she needed to get out of here soon. She padded over to the brownish water slightly disgusted by the warmth of it ,but she needed to replenish herself so she could move on without having to look for more water here. The she-wolf decided to take a nap,she looked around and found a small patch of shade under a dried tree. She laid down there and placing her head on her clay covered paws closed her eyes letting herself fall asleep.

Eli.
As the wind blowing his fur in different directions, Eli was at ease for the time being. He had found a perfect place to take a simple break. His jaw hung open as he let his tongue escape his mouth, strands of saliva sparkled in the sunlight dripping from his mouth upon the ground. He liked the feeling of being carefree, having no one to worry about but himself because in the end that's the only one he could count on.. himself. At a early age he had learned how cruel wolves to be and over time the wolf began to grow use to the feeling of being alone. He didn't need any pity, he didn't need anyone. All he needed was himself. The wolf smirked at the inner thoughts in his head as his tail wagged a little bit. Eli indeed smelt the scents of many wolves in this area, but he simply was uninterested in meeting a wolf at the moment. It felt dumb to him, time consuming, and a strain on what he was truly looking for. "Funny how trouble always finds me huh..?" He chuckled like a loony before looking down at his paw as if he was addressing it. Over the time he had learned that talking to himself somewhat kept his shattered personality up for the time being. His long tail swaying, he propped himself up to his paws trotting off as different scents filled his nose further more. He wanted to explore yes, but he also needed to be careful to watch who he would run into. His mouth a gap as he look around, he saw nothing but fields of bushes some which covered his view. Looking aimlessly ahead of himself as he awkwardly stare at a tree in the distance, his eyes go cross-eyed slightly making him look deformed of some sort. Licking his nose, his trot fell into a walk; a walk almost looking like he was walking on eggshells. If his father didn't teach him much, he sure enough taught him to always be careful in open fields. It served Eli well actually. He was able to get out of most jams with this tactic. His body language careful and precise, his eyes peered and hunger to see what was beyond the tree he had ever so awkwardly been staring at the past minute. As he got closer, he saw the instant cue for him to high tail it the other way. Ears, not to a coyote, definitely not a bear.. but another wolf. He had no quarrel with this wolf, nor did he want it. The wolf simply seemed to be taking a snooze under the shaded tree, which he didn't blame Because today was a very hot day. Walking a few feet in front of the wolf the left part underneath his eye twitched. He couldn't tell if she died, or was actually snoozing like he first assumed at this point. Granted, it wasn't the first time he saw a dead wolf left on the waste side, or a wolf dying Because they where too weak to go on, or was abandoned. His eyes examined every part of the wolf in a curious manner wondering about it. "....Nah.. it's dead." He thought crossly, frowning at the sight, his muzzle wrinkling up a bit as to show disgust. He was always quick on jumping to conclusions, but here at this moment he found himself baffled. Prehaps it was his inability to speak with other wolves, maybe he had been gone from actually knowing how his own speices acted. Ever since his father had banned him, he lived a lone life; he forgot what caring was, how wolves needed each other to survive. In the end he had himself, and that's how he was going to keep it. Anger fared up inside him as he looked down at the sleeping wolf. The sight making him hateful remembering how his father treated him. If all wolves where like that, he dare not take a chance with any wolf. Taking a glance at a small reflection, he spotted water it was just what he needed too. Forgetting about the wolf fully, he went to go quench his thirst by the pond. After a few sips, he was able to put two and two together. That wolf wasn't dead. As he turned to face it, the fur on his next prickled. His eyes spotting movement in it's chest heaving up and down gave him the clue the wolf was alive and if it spotted him, there might be some conflict on Eli's part of invading it's space.

Seraphina broke from her dream at the sound of something moving and then an animal drinking water. Slowly she opened her eyes and squinted her eyes adjusting to the light. Soon she realized that there was a dark colored wolf looking at her, she shot up quickly all sleepiness leaving her. What the hell, she bared her teeth and snarled her fur prickling up, she was rarely caught off guard and whenever it happened she hated it. She sized up the wolf and realized the wolf was a male, who was a tinge larger than her but not by much and had a dark pelt which was mainly black but clearly had some other coloring to it. She realized he didn't seem like he was going to attack her although he did look fairly cautious or alert. She calmed down slightly and sat down her tail curling around her flank and her honey colored eyes staring curiously into his, she decided to let him speak first since she wasn't about to make a fool of herself and wanted an explanation for the intrusion. She knew that this wasn't her territory but nonetheless she really didn't appreciate the scare. To manipulate or to not..is the question , she decided she would wait for the male to speak before she said anything, that is IF she said anything. Perhaps she would simply get up and walk away she seemingly had enough energy to make her way out of this treacherous land to somewhere perhaps colder or not as..sticky. Her ears remained perked up to show that she wasn't about to cower at the appearance of another wolf unlike some. He seemed fairly calm though which could mean that he wasn't looking for a fight, that he was simply stupid, or that he wasn't sure what to do either. She silently sat there waiting for him to speak and yet unsure if he would or if after all there would be a fight which she was not looking forward to and hoping there wouldn't be, she wasn't in the mood for conflict. As she was waiting for him to say something she had no shame in sizing him up and studying him, trying to find areas of weakness and attempting at making calculations. She noticed how he had a slightly crazed look but it was fairly subtle. After she got bored of studying him which didn't take long she figured he wasn't much of a threat so she let her mind drift off and let herself study her surroundings once again taking in the dry bushes and plants around her and the muddy water. The heat waves radiating off of the ground in the distance and her surrounding sounds. Perhaps I can wait until nightfall and catch a vole or something of the sort just as a snack, she heard her stomach rumble ever so quietly and flicked her ear annoyed with the sound. Her eyes going back to the brute not too far from her still awaiting some sort of reply or response from him. OOC: slightly short post and not the best , sorry Mentioned: @rim

Eli. It felt like time was irrelevant at the moment, Eli knew to be on guard, if the wolf did prehaps to wait he could simply bounce away. Not that he couldn't take the wolf; he had already made a assumption early if they where to have go into a fight, he had the size on the wolf. Size didn't always mean everything but he was pretty sure he could take the wolf with out any problem. All his life when he was actually in a pack, his father had him work hard building up his strong lean muscles he has today. Even though this was the case, it didn't stop Eli from looking like a deer about to get shit by a car. He was alert, his ears flickering, he wanted to put nothing past this wolf. His heart screamed out wanting to ask the wolf name, but his lips where to stubborn to move.
As he watched the wolf get up, it held a defensive stance ready to attack if provoked. Eli on the other hand made no such move, he simply stood there rasing a eyebrow up at the wolf as if to try and make the wolf look dumb from how it took it's stance agasint him. Eli's eyes searched the wolf's as if trying to find a answer to his problems. His jaw clamped shut, he shifted his weight from paw to paw slightly. If this wolf was going to make a move, it would of been the most proper time to do it. But instead the wolf calmed down and stared at Eli making him slightly uncomfortable. Well, what are you waiting for wolf?! Do something! his inner thoughts snapped but he did not breath a word. If this was going to be a waiting game in as who would be the first to speak, Eli had all day Granted, he had nothing else to do with his life anyway. He could wait for eternity if that's what was called. He was curious about the wolf though, he didn't want to fight, but the least thing he wanted to do why try to strike a stupid conversation with the wolf. As the large male took a step closer, he told his head to the side looking the wolf up and down lightly sniffing.
He wanted think of something on how to introduce himself but, at the same time he simply couldn't stand the presence of other wolves in his sight, why he had been so dumb earlier to think this wolf was dead, he had no clue.
His body began to scream for him to run, but his heart held him there like a wall. It stood it's ground no matter how much Eli thought in his mind that running would be the solution. All his life he ran, and sometimes, he didn't even know what it was because of why he ran. Running to him was the equivalent of food to animals.. it gave him a will, it fed his soul and it kept what little sanity he had left within his shattered existent.
Watching the wolf, he sensed that she preferred a better climate than this, and he couldn't blame the wolf for that. "Thought you where dead."Eli mentally wanted to jump off a cliff, after he told himself strictly not to say a word, there the words are right there he dreaded floating into the air. It sounded stupid to him, but he had no time to even think about what to actually say like maybe, "I just wanted a drink of water," or, "I'm just passing by!" Even a simple, "Hi," would of been better than what he just spat at that moment. He shook his head and looked down before running in a circle trying to bite his tail trying to properly think. He was making a compete idiot out of himself!
As he stopped, his back side facing the wolf, he turned to look at it before giving a lopsided smile. "..Uhh.. the water is fresh." The words rolled off his tongue and he mentally nodded to himself grinning. He felt he actually said something fairly cool that time. It would make up for what he said just twenty seconds ago he was sure of it.
As he shook his long mane of fur, his eye somewhat twitched as he noticed he had been staring at the wolf too long making his body flinch as if he had been bitten by something. He was sure if the wolf was displeased with how he was acting, it'd simply go away, which he wanted so much. He wanted the wolf to just vanish into thin air or just run away. He felt his introduction at first was shaky but he cleared it up in the last bit. He was proud, and his smirk on his face didn't say other wise. Taking another sip of water to clear his mind; his paws dappled in the water as he stood there, the lapping sensation making him feel at ease somewhat. Sounds swirling through his ears, he could help but stare up at the tree his attention being drawn to the rays of light raining down from little gaps in between the tree's leaves. His breath calmed and collected. Prehaps he figured if he stared up long enough, the wolf would lose interest and when he look back in it's direction again, the wolf would be gone. The male's mind swirled in different directions; his thoughts a blur. What was he really after? He had yet to find out.. but when he did.. maybe his wondering heart would be at peace. Closing his eyes; the warm rays fell on his body making him feel content at the moment.
His tail wagging, he knew the wolf wasn't gone, as much as he wanted to make it vanish, it stood there giving him a look probably waiting for a more suited answer for it to rely on.

Seraphina could feel a grin tugging at her lips as the male shifted, clearly uncomfortable by the silence. Perhaps he's not as calm as I had thought, her ears shot forward as he moved closer to her, daring move, she eyed him warily her expression remaining alert yet relaxed. After a few moments of silence and what for the male seemed to be awkwardness or controversy he finally spoke "Thought you were dead". Seraphina fought a bark of laughter but was amused by the awkward and peculiar statement, finally something new, she cocked her head to the side slightly at the statement. The male clearly realized how peculiar his statement was and he started pacing around in circles and shaking his head. M, definitely crazed.
When he finally stopped he turned away from her before turning back grinning slightly this time which once again surprised her and he proceeded to say "..Uhh..the water is fresh." seemingly thinking she would forget about his previous statement. An idiot this one, but a slightly amusing one, "Seraphina" she said , her voice smooth, silky and calm. " I'm very much alive" she said wanting to chuckle at the statement but refraining from doing so, not wanting to appear too calm or like a foolish pup.
She then remembered his statement about the water being"fresh", it is anything but she wanted to gag just thinking about the muddy lukewarm water. She wasn't sure what kind of water this wolf had drank but if that is what he considered fresh, she pitied him. " I fear the water is anything but fresh" she said. Not wanting to seem as if she wanted to stay and chat since she really didn't. She hasn't conversed with a wolf in a decent amount not that she minded but she would prefer to be alone for now, her previous encounters with wolves flashing through her mind. She looked back at the brute locking eyes with him " Goodbye " she said before getting up and trotting out from under the shade of the tree and in the opposing direction of the wolf.
Eventually I'll reach the border and get somewhere else , as of now she was just trying to stay away from other wolves not feeling social or confrontational she would prefer to just travel. A minute or two after she had started moving again she would hear a squeaking and stop to see if she could locate it, her stomach releasing another low rumble as she thought of the satisfying crunch of bones under her teeth and warm blood trickling down her muzzle and the coppery taste filling her mouth and spreading across her tongue. She snapped back to reality and looked around trying to locate the sound. She saw a small mouse scurry out from under a dry thorny bush and head towards the roots of a small dried up tree, she darted forward, slamming her paw down onto the mouse missing the first time, and then snapping her jaws , satisfied as she felt them close on the warm body of the mouse and then she heard the crunch of its bones. She sat down chomping down on the mouse and quickly finishing off since after all, it had been a mouse, nothing very filing but it would do. If she had to she might join a group simply for a hunt or steal some food but for now this would be enough for an hour or two.
