[attr="class","nsouthinfo"]Noctis Southern Border The southern border is quite hard to reach, only the most daring wolves can be found crossing the large river that rushes past to get to the Noctis border. The river has a stone crossing which allows wolves to cross from the Noctis border and vise versa but its extremely dangerous and most fall into the river and either drown or are carried downriver and washed up on the sandy shore of the coast.Wolves should be careful when traveling through this border and part of the territory. Prey and Predators alike are rarely found here due to the sheer danger that the large river possesses. If a wolf is to encounter something here, it would be extremely hard unless it was inside Noctis territory.

Lake approached the western border with caution. Even though he had just arrived in this area, he was determined to find a pack right away. Lake was a good hunter, he would be a valuable asset to this pack. Well, what ever rank he got he would do a good job at, at least he would try. He had never met the alpha, but it didn't matter, he would serve him anyway. Lake decided to sit, it would look week to lay down, at least in his mind it did. Lake could smell the tantalizing sent of prey, but that's the last thing Lake wanted to be caught doing, it wasn't his territory in the first place. Lake hoped this pack would be even better than his old one, and he hoped there were more wolves his age. Lake would try to make friends right away, he didn't want to be alone any longer than he had to. Lake surveyed the area, it was beautiful, great places to hunt, walk, downright great scenery. Lake hoped who ever found him first would not be mean, but if they were, he would show kindness and be respectful. Lake looked down at his paws, time for the long wait, but Lake would be patient.

Following in the elder's paw steps, Spirit found herself surrounded by majestic towering trees, with canopies so lush, green and thick that no sunlight can pierce through. Everywhere Spirit's paw landed on was decorated in the soft pelt of moss. The three companions had been travelling for days in an enjoyable, but aimless adventure. They took breaks mostly in caves, where the shadows provided them with security and comfort. While Spirit loved her new friends, she also missed those from the calming beach dearly. In their spare time, her mind would wander to them, and to her family too. How were they all doing? She certainly hoped that they were all well. Wagging her tail excitedly, Spirit focussed on the new area they had found. Pushing her muzzle to the comfortable moss, Spirit took in the wafts of wolves' scents. There were many nearby - and they were pack wolves! Energetically, she turned to her friends: "There's a pack nearby! Hey, what do ya'll think about trying to join this one?"As she picked up her pace in excitement, she nearly bumped into a he-wolf with a similar pelt as hers. Spirit let out a little yelp in surprise. Lifting her head up in embarrassment, she dipped her head in an apology: "I'm sorry... I didn't see you there..."Lake Mayerthu Sage

Lake jumped when a she-wolf bumped into him. Lake looked over at the new wolf and his whiskers twitched in amusement. "I'm sorry... I didn't see you there..." "Aww it's okay, you gave me a real good scare though! I thought you were some wild animal," Lake joked. He hoped she got his pun, Lake loved joking around and this was the 1st wolf he'd seen while being here. Lake studied her, she didn't look shy, she looked friendly. His tail wagged a little, Lake was so excited, a friend! He had been looking forward to meeting new wolves as soon as he came to these borders. Lake glanced back at the unfamiliar territory, he couldn't see anyone, and he assumed it would stay that way for a while. Lake sighed and laid down, looking up and the new wolf. "Come join me, my name is Lake, what's yours?"

Happily skipping behind Spirit and Mayerthu, the young wolf breathed in the fresh smell of nature, the moss tickling her paws. Her browns ears quickly perked up as the white lupine said "There's a pack nearby! Hey, what do ya'll think about trying to join this one?" Sage's face lit up, as she didn't get accepted into the Somnus pack, perhaps they could try this new one? Suddenly, out of the blue, a strong scent hit the lupines wet nose. An animal was somewhere really close, 'It might be a threat', Sage silently thought. She decided to wait, the animal could be a wolf, but since the encounter with the Cougar, Sage was being careful.
They continued to walk peacefully when Spirit let out a yelp. Sage instantly was at the she-wolves side, "I'm sorry... I didn't see you there..." She said, clearly embarrassed. Sage looked at whoever Spirit was speaking too and saw a he-wolf with cream fur, almost like Spirits. He didn't look like a threat, though Sage still narrowed her eyes, "Aww it's okay, you gave me a real good scare though! I thought you were some wild animal." The he-wolf joked, Sage didn't let her guard down though. The male's eyes seemed to brighten, as though he didn't see a wolf in a while. He looked more relaxed and laid down, saying, "Come join me, my name is Lake, what's yours?" Sage sat down, letting herself relax, she assured herself that this wolf was no threat and spoke up first, "Hey Lake, my name is Sage." She smiled, "This is Spirit, the one who ran into you--."She nodded at the white lupine and grinned, "--And this is one here Mayerthu." She pointed her head at the older she-wolf. "And sure, we would love to join you. We are hoping to get accepted into this pack, as our last experience didn't go too well." Sage thought back to her time at Somnus. Shaking out her negative thoughts she also laid down on the soft moss.

[Northern Border]
It had been a long road ahead and one that he forced himself to go; it was for family, for his brother. That's what Aztec had to keep telling himself at least. Naturally, he was out here to find his lost brother who was so determined to make something out of himself while the eldest knew that he would never make it. It was better for him to come home. Aztec had to give his brother credit though; he was a determined pup. The large wolf padded through the trees in the forests; all the while alert and sensing out for any danger that could be lurking nearby, and prey...he was starving. His bright amber eyes gazed around the landscape noticing the trees were starting to thin out a bit; he could hear rushing water somewhere up ahead. Good, his paws needed some resting and he thirsty from the long run he had earlier. He liked running; got him there faster, wherever he needed to go.
The glint of the sun hitting the water made the male pause and look at the beautiful sight in front of him. Wow, it was seriously something. He didn't scent anything off about this place and there were no other scents to be worried about so, with that being noted he plunked his rear down beside the water and sighed in relief at his aching muscles. He was used to it by now; having pushed himself to the limits in his training. But, it was still nice to let his paws rest after a long period of time. If he had no paws to work with because he was too tired, he'd never get anywhere.
The water sounded and smelled refreshing so he bent his head to lap at it; it was cool and as refreshing as it's clean scent. He gulped down as much as he could without getting himself sick; no good filling his stomach with only water. He knew there was prey all around him ; including this lake that he could try fishing on but he probably had better luck with some squirrels or rabbits in the forest. His stomach growled at the thought and he looked down at it scornfully
"Shut up, I'm working on it." he grumbled as he stood to his paws and turned to peer around the forest edge.
He would need to hunt himself something before he went on his way again, he hoped Atlas had made it into a safe group or at least a pack that he could be protected by. His brother never was one for being a dominant or powerful figure, he needed care and attention just like an other young pup would. And if he hadn't found someone...Aztec hoped to his ancestors that he was still alive somewhere. Thinking of his brother the light grey male headed with purposeful steps into the woods once more but this time in search of a tasty meal. It wasn't too long that he searched that he came upon a bird pecking at the ground. Well, it wasn't a rabbit or something bigger but it'll do, he hadn't seen much of anything else at the moment so he wouldn't be too picky. With his expertise in hunting; he managed to catch the bird in mid-flight as it panicked when it realized it was being stalked by a predator. Aztec had already been too close for it to fully escape and he was glad when he managed to leap up and snag the thing by it's wing before killing it swiftly. He silently gave thanks for his meal before he crouched to tear into it and eat.

Lake grinned after Sage introduced them all. Lake sniffed, he picked up another wolfs scent. He growled softly, he didn't want anyone hurting his new friends. Lake instantly looked at his new friends, "Don't worry, I wasn't growling at you. I just picked up a new wolf's scent, it should be fine though, I think they are far enough away." Lake turned back to the scent of the wolf. As long as they were friendly, he would have no problem with them. "So, what brought you to these borders," Lake asked, tearing his eyes away from the scent. Lake looked at both of them, Spirit looked shy but relieved, Sage looked friendly and protective, and Mayerthu looked calm and collected. Lake wondered who lead this group, every group had a leader, Lake knew that from experience. Mayerthu Sage Spirit @aztec

A few moments after Sage was done introducing herself and her friends to Lake, the cream coloured male began to growl. Sage narrowed her eyes and quickly got up onto her paws, standing in front of Spirit and Mayerthu. Lake looked at the three wolves and said, "Don't worry, I wasn't growling at you. I just picked up a new wolf's scent, it should be fine though, I think they are far enough away." A sigh of relief was heard from Sage, she thought she might have to protect her friends from this newly found 'friend'.
"That's good to hear. If they do near us and try to hurt us ... " Sage didn't even need to finish that sentence, hoping the others understood what she means. "So, what brought you to these borders," Lake asked. "Well, it's a long story.." Sage began but then looked unsure if she should trust Lake, he seemed friendly, but she had unpleasant experience with 'kind-looking' wolves before. "We three met in a funny way you could say... Long story short, I got attacked by a cougar and woke up to see these two helping." The she-wolf motioned her head to Spirit and Mayerthu. "We didn't get accepted into the Somnus pack so we went to Neutral Rendezvous and stayed there for a few days before decided to try to get into this pack." Sage was getting slightly curious and asked the he-wolf a question,
"What about you Lake, what has brought you to the borders?"

Lake was alarmed at her answer. "Well I am glad you are okay!" Lake shifted uncomfortably at her next question. "Well, I lived in the mountains, and my pack started getting sick, so I left with my mother, she never made it though," Lake answered. He cast his eyes downward, uncomfortable. "I'm glad I came here though, I am already making friends, and I think my mom is proud I left, she didn't like our group much anyway. I loved my mom, she was awesome. I hope to make her proud," Lake continued. He ducked his head in embarrassment when he realized he was going on and on. "it's good you guys are still friends, I never had anyone my age to be friends with though, so I am glad I met you guys," He murmured, lost in thought. Lake got up and stretched, he needed to move. He paced a little bit, then came up with a great idea. "Do you guys know any games we could play while waiting," Lake asked. Slightly embarrassed, did wolves down here play games? The large grey wolf scarfed down the prey he had caught thankful for the meal. He was starving and knew he would not be a happy camper if he went much longer without the food. After eating his fill the male got to his paws and headed to the water's edge to get his fill of the water. His ears perked up at the sound of voices though that he could barely hear over the sound of the water gurgling in his ears. He paused and raised his head to look around him. There were other wolves nearby...Would his brother be among them? He hadn't scented any pack wolves around these parts so they had to be rogues or loners like himself. Curious, he followed along the edge of the lake trying to find the source of the voices; he could hear them just not what they were saying. He stepped through some bushes and froze when he saw others nearby. Well dang, he was hoping he wouldn't come face to face with them so close. He was hoping he'd be able to spot them from a distance and then decide on what to do. But, now that he was in clear sight it was obvious they would see him and with how many there were compared to his single self; if they were to try and attack him Aztec would have to run and flee for his life because he knew he would not be able to protect himself against more than one or two of them. He thought fast and decided he would be spotted if he tried to leave and be confronted so might as well make himself know. Clearing his throat a little louder so the others could hear him, he stepped fully through the bushes and took a deep breath before trying for a smile that didn't show off his nerves or wariness of the others huddled together. "Good morning you lot." he called out in a calm and hopefully none-threatening voice. "Sorry to disturb whatever it's your doing but would you have happened to have any idea if there are any packs near by here...I'm looking for my brother you see and if he's smart he'd have gotten himself into one on his travels." he commented conversationally. "I'm merely trying to find him but...really don't know where I am. You're the first I have come across thus far. My name is Aztec, hello." he dipped his head with a small smile. "Well I am glad you are okay!" Lake said, Sage lightly smiled at his care. "Well, I lived in the mountains, and my pack started getting sick, so I left with my mother, she never made it though," Lake answered her question. Sage sat there with wide eyes, feeling strong empathy for the wolf. "I'm glad I came here though, I am already making friends, and I think my mom is proud I left, she didn't like our group much anyway. I loved my mom, she was awesome. I hope to make her proud," Lake continued, dipping his head to the ground, visibly looking embarrassed. Sage knew exactly how Lake was feeling, she too lost her mum, not because of sickness but because of a hunter. She gave him a warm smile to somehow try to make him feel better.
"It's good you guys are still friends, I never had anyone my age to be friends with though, so I am glad I met you guys," He quietly said and got up to stretch. The he-wolf walked back and forth for a little bit before he said, "Do you guys know any games we could play while waiting," "Lake, I understand how it is to lose family, I unfortunately went through that myself --" Sage shook her head, "-- Let's now talk about sad things. Yes, I have a great idea of what we can play. A little game called 'Tug of War'." She slyly said retreating into the forest. Coming out a few moments later with a small branch. "How you play the game--" The she-wolf said, dropping the branch from her mouth, "--Is two wolves grab each of the ends of the stick with their mouth and try to pull it out from the other wolves mouth. And if the branch snaps, well we have the whole forest." She grinned and began to move the branch over to Lake.
Out of the blue, an unfamiliar voice called out from the forest. "Good morning you lot." Sage swiftly turned around and narrowed her brown orbs. "Sorry to disturb whatever it's your doing but would you have happened to have any idea if there are any packs nearby here...I'm looking for my brother you see and if he's smart he'd have gotten himself into one on his travels." "Yes, there is a pack here indeed. We are currently at its borders waiting to hopefully get accepted." the she-wolf says as kindly as she can, but with a rather snarky expression. "I'm merely trying to find him but...really don't know where I am. You're the first I have come across thus far. My name is Aztec, hello." he dipped his head and smiled. Sage mentally rolled her eyes, but then grinned and said, "Well, I hope you find your brother soon. Nice to meet you Aztec. My name is Sage, this here is Spirit--" The lupine pointed her nose at the white colour she-wolf. "And that's Mayerthu." Sage moved to her head to the grey elder wolf. "This cream wolf here is Lake." Sage stood awkwardly before deciding to invite Aztec to join the pack with the group. "So Aztec, would you like to join us? To get accepted into the pack?"

As Sage slid up beside her protectively, the alabaster female felt a sense of security and comfort rush through her. Although the male didn't seem aggressive at the least, Spirit pushed herself back up hastily, scrambling to her paws in case the stranger attacked. She wasn't sure how the stranger would respond to her clumsiness. Upon hearing the brute's attempt at a joke, Spirit felt her tensed muscles relax and she let out her worries in a soft little chuckle. "Come join me, my name is Lake, what's yours?" Spirit was about to answer when Sage opened her maw first: "Hey Lake, my name is Sage. This is Spirit, the one who ran into you--" As her companion turned to smile at her, Spirit's snout stretched into what Spirit hopes was an apologetic grin, although perhaps it turned out a little goofy. "--And this is one here Mayerthu. And sure, we would love to join you. We are hoping to get accepted into this pack, as our last experience didn't go too well." Without any warning, a sudden low, throaty growl escaped from Lake's mouth, breaking the friendly atmosphere. Spirit's ears pricked up, and her eyes widened in alarm. What's going on? Was Lake threatened by them? "Don't worry, I wasn't growling at you. I just picked up a new wolf's scent, it should be fine though, I think they are far enough away." No, nothing is too far away. As far as Spirit could remember, the wolves that had kidnapped the two shady ladies back at the calming coastline, were nowhere near her. And yet, it happened as quickly as the blink of an eye. Even Nooné, her companion, didn't notice it. So, as Lake happily went on to start a conversation with Sage, Spirit remained on guard, narrowing her eyes as she scanned their surroundings. At the corner of her eyes, Spirit spotted a mysterious he-wolf shrouded mostly in a dark pelt of charcoal, with hues of pearl, hidden partially by a bush. By the looks of it, the newcomer had accidentally stumbled upon them. As he stepped out to reveal his entire figure, Spirit noticed how he towered above her. Her eyes were fixated on him as his tranquil voice reached them: "Good morning you lot. Sorry to disturb whatever it's your doing but would you have happened to have any idea if there are any packs nearby here...I'm looking for my brother you see and if he's smart he'd have gotten himself into one on his travels. I'm merely trying to find him but...really don't know where I am. You're the first I have come across thus far. My name is Aztec, hello." There was something quite charming about the way he smiled and bowed humbly before them. Spirit dipped her head back, smiling too. "Yes, there is a pack here indeed. We are currently at its borders waiting to hopefully get accepted." Sage's slightly snide-sounding tone irked Spirit a little, but nonetheless, Spirit said nothing. After introducing all of them, there was a slight hesitation before Sage invited Aztec to join them. "So Aztec, would you like to join us? To get accepted into the pack?" Spirit looked up at him shyly, before shifting her gaze somewhere else. While she had just met this new wolf, Spirit found herself growing to like him. @aztec Lake Mayerthu Sage

Aztec could tell just from a brief analyzing them that they seemed to have already form bonds with each other despite just meeting. The large male felt bad about interrupting them and whatever was going on but he had stumbled into them and it had been too late to turn back so he had to push forwards. He was inwardly relieved to see that they did not seem threatened by him or threatening towards him; in fact they were rather nice and friendly if not a bit wary of him at first. He smiled slightly wider at the thought. Good, he liked making good impressions the first go around. Saved him the trouble of worrying if they were hostile or anything. He hesitated a moment looking between them all and then focused on the one who spoke first. Sage was a pretty little thing and seemed friendly enough towards him. He relaxed a bit more and gave her a warmer smile at her gesture of trying to make friends and invited him to join them. He didn't want to intrude on anything if they had already formed bonds with each other; he knew how messy it was to add someone else who barged in. No true friendships or kinships were created through that encounter. She seemed to be one who had a slight attitude and he wasn't too sure if she truly wanted him around if anything by her expression.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, I appreciate the non-hostile response. I was worried I may have stumbled upon a group I shouldn't have." he confessed with a sheepish smile and he met each wolf's gaze directly in a greeting.
"I honestly wasn't intending on joining another pack...I was just trying to find my brother." he frowned slightly looking past them at the scenery around them.
"But, I do not know how long my journey will last and where it will take me. If you truly do not mind me tagging along I would like to do so for a little while." he finally replied after a long moments of deep thinking as he stared at the ground.
His gaze turned back up towards the wolves. Each wolf getting a thorough and intent stare down. Not in a show down type of way much more of a way to gauge whether they truly meant him in honesty to allow him to join or if it was out of courtesy. He honestly didn't want to ruin anything if they had a mini group going for themselves. Sage seemed like a sassy thing and he wondered how they would get along if he joined. Spirit, the little one mentioned seemed like a silent shy type but that was endearing as Aztec was fond of younger wolves as he grew up teaching his own pack pups and siblings as they grew up. Lake and Mayerthu he could not get a real good read on them so he looked towards them to see if they would approve of his acceptance to join the group.
"I will not fully accept the offer if you all do not agree equally. I really don't want to put tension among you all if you do not agree on my staying with you. I do not wish to cause trouble." he tipped his head and looked at them searchingly.

Lake stood up at the sight of a new comer. He made his way to stand in front of his friends, he was nervous but made his posture relaxed. No need to start anything if there was no reason to. Lake stood by as the girls questioned him, Lake was never much of a talker so he might as well let them do it for him. Lake hid a smile as Aztec rambled on about wanting somewhere to stay but not wanting to cause trouble. When he finished Lake replied, "Don't worry about it. You can stay for as long as you want. I hope you find your brother." Lake studied Aztec, he was broader than most wolves, almost as broad as Lake. But his attitude was more laid back, nervous. Lake and Aztec were more alike than they though. Lake's tail started wagging, it would be nice to finally have a male friend, these females were amazing, he loved their company, but sometimes its nice to have a friend your own gender. Lake added shyly, "We were also about to play a game of tug of war, do you want to join?"

"It's a pleasure to meet you, I appreciate the non-hostile response. I was worried I may have stumbled upon a group I shouldn't have." Said Aztec, "I honestly wasn't intending on joining another pack...I was just trying to find my brother." You could see the male wolf lightly frown, looking around him. For some time, he said nothing, until a few moments later he spoke up "But, I do not know how long my journey will last and where it will take me. If you truly do not mind me tagging along I would like to do so for a little while."Aztec looked from wolf to wolf, examining all 4 friends. Sage shifted from one paw to another, looking slightly uncomfortable. "I will not fully accept the offer if you all do not agree equally. I really don't want to put tension among you all if you do not agree on my staying with you. I do not wish to cause trouble." He dipped his head. Sage tried to keep a serious face but then burst out laughing. "Aztec, you can join without any hesitation. We'll be happier if you join." Sage said, calming down from laughing fit. After blinking the laughing tears of her eyes, the young wolf heard Lake speak up to the other male, "Don't worry about it. You can stay for as long as you want. I hope you find your brother."You could tell lake was pretty intimidated by the brute, he was wagging his tail in a pretty funny way. After a few moments, the cream male said shyly " We were also about to play a game of tug of war, do you want to join?"Instantly Sage's eyes light up, she knew she will probably lose against all of them since she was the youngest out of the group. Not caring about that, she lifted her tail and began wagging it, slightly crouched to the ground, Sage playfully growled, challenging everyone to a competition of 'Tug of war'.
