Sage quickly turned her head to the sound of Raven and CloudSpiral gasp. "This is the largest lake I've ever seen, "You could hear Raven say. What was so amazing? I need to check it out! With that thought, Sage bolted towards the two wolves. Suddenly Cloudspiral exclaimed, "It's not a lake, it's the ocean! I've seen the ocean before, but I was only a pup. It's beautiful..." Sage let out the widest smile, this place was amazing, what was it that CloudSpiral said it was, 'The Ocean?' She breathed in the strong scent of the icy salt water. Letting the light breeze russtle her fur. Suddenly, out of nowhere, CloudSpiral said, "You're pretty too." Knowing that the comment was faced ta Raven, she let out a snort, trying her hardest not to laugh. She could sense the regret and uncomfortableness on CloudSpirals face. "Er...Sorry about that." Sage heard him say, "Maybe I should go...?" Not knowing if he was going to leave, Sage put out her paw infront of the the male. She whispered something, making sure only he could hear, "Stay here, you guys would be cute together, be strong." After letting out a chuckle and swiftly turning around, leaving the two wolves alone. She turned around one last time, giving CloudSpiral an encourgging wink before going back to the smaller part of the river to try to learn how to fish. OOC ~ ((I feel some tension!! CloudSpiral, unsure of whether to leave or not, was surprised to see Sage's paw block his path. She lowered her voice so that only he could hear her. " Stay here, you guys would be cute together, be strong." CloudSpiral felt the heat rise in his fur again. She heard me?! He looked at Raven sheepishly. " You really think so?" He shuffled his paws. " I haven't known her long but she's just... amazing. I know she doesn't fully trust me but she's the most beautiful wolf I've ever seen, and she's so strong, too. I just didn't know how to tell her." When CloudSpiral was younger, the young females of his pack were always running around with him, trying to get his attention. Now that a she-wolf had captured his heart, he had no idea what to do. " Sage, what do I do? I don't wanna mess things up." Sage @raven @inigo @dusk OOC: And here we see him continue to be a dork XD

Stopping a few seconds after leaving CloudSpiral, Sage heard him loudly whisper, again making sure Raven doesn't hear, " You really think so?" He shuffled his paw. Sage quickly made her way to the male wolf to hear what he had to say. " I haven't known her long but she's just... amazing. I know she doesn't fully trust me but she's the most beautiful wolf I've ever seen, and she's so strong, too. I just didn't know how to tell her." Sage rolled her eyes, taking a deep breath, turning her head towards the she-wolf Raven. " Sage, what do I do? I don't wanna mess things up." Sage heard him say. Thinking, at least someone wanted help from her, although it wasn't the best idea to ask her for help, she decided to give it her best shot.Sage let out a small chuckle, " Come with me, I'll give you some advice." Motioning her head away from the water, beaconing CloudSpiral to follow her. She began to walk further away, thinking about what the male could do to impress Raven. Raven didn't look like the type to like flowers, but what if she does? Sage didn't know much about her. Realising she went far away, enough to talk in her normal voice she sat down waiting for CloudSpiral. "Come with me, I'll give you some advice." Sage walked off, stopping a distance far enough away for them to speak in regular tones. CloudSpiral loped over to her, admiring the scenery as he went. He hoped that Sage would be able to help him, and he figured that a she-wolf would be able to help him talk to another she-wolf. The flowers that were around them were really beautiful, and he considered picking a couple for Raven, but he doubted she would be impressed by something so sappy. Perhaps another piece of fresh-kill or a nice den would do the trick, but he decided that it would be best to listen to Sage's advice. Sage @raven @inigo @dusk

Raven felt CloudSpiral scramble to her side, though she found herself unable tear her gaze from the sight before her to look at him. "It's not a lake, it's the ocean!" he exclaimed excitedly, "I've seen the ocean before, but I was only a pup. It's beautiful…” “The Ocean,” Raven repeated, wonderstruck. "You're pretty, too." Raven froze, caught off guard by the sudden compliment. For once she was at a loss for words. It wasn't because she was shocked or surprised by CloudSpiral's words, but rather how he said it so bluntly and abruptly. She hadn’t expected him to confess to her so early. They hadn’t even known each other an entire day! Did this even technically count as a confession though? He hadn’t actually admitted any feelings towards her; just expressed that he found her attractive. And love and attraction weren’t the same thing. Were they? Either way, CloudSpiral immediately seemed to regret saying anything at all. "Er… Sorry about that…” he stammered, “Maybe I should go…?" Raven turned to the nervous male, ready to stop him, but saw Sage already blocking his path. She whispered something to CloudSpiral that Raven couldn’t make out over the sound of the waves crashing below. However, she could only assume the other she-wolf was trying to boost his morale. ‘When did she get here?’ Raven couldn’t help but wonder. She didn’t remember hearing her follow after them. The two quickly got into a discussion in hushed tones before rushing off together, leaving Raven alone on the cliffside. She quickly lost interest with a roll of her eyes and sat down, turning her attention back to the ocean. Why were they making such a big deal about this? It really wasn’t that complicated. You just tell the other wolf how you feel and if they reject you, it sucks, but life goes on. She only wished he had waited longer to confess so she could continue playing the game of leading him on and pretending not to know.

It had to have been a year. The way the stars passed, days had flown by farther than she could count. Soske had to have been traveling solo for at least a year, but who knew. She couldn't tell time. The lupine could feel herself growing older, her fur coarse and dull. More often then not, she contemplated the meaning of her life. Was it wrong to disband from her pack, as peaceful as it was? While she had worked ruthlessly for a year, living for herself in every way, she imagined she could be bathing in the suns kiss of light day by day, probably bound to a mate and pups if she had stayed. At this point, she honestly regretted leaving, for she had not accomplished anything noteworthy to this day. As it were, the she-wolf found herself skimming the cliffs along an beach line. In the distances, ant-sized wolves frolicked along the shore, doing whatever it was rogue wolves would do. On the contrary, they looked a lot happier having the company of each other, rather than Soske herself who had remained pretty secluded during her travels. She met other travelers, all of different sizes, personalities, and genders. She often times fell into the eyes of dispersal males in search of a mate. It was flattering, really, but she wasn't looking for a male that was.. well.. looking for her: a potential mate. Soske had twice temporarily joined with wolves she met, hunting and sleeping together, even fending off land together. But the lupine couldn't quite bring herself to lighten up, and eventually the wolves would grow bored of her level-headed persona. Soske stopped along the cliff side, taking a seat before scratching at the flies that irritably buzzed near her ears. Her paw pads were dusted and cracked, starved of hydration and a bit of rest for a few days. Breaks weren't in her agenda, though, however as soon as she began trotting along Soske noticed a group of wolves much closer in her vicinity. In fact, they were right in her pathway about a quarter of a mile away. There were four wolves, two darkly-hued males and two females. And Soske, well she stuck out like a sore thumb among the rocks and grass. By now the wolves had probably noticed her freezing up like a stupid deer. So what would she do? Soske glanced toward the shore-line dwellers and then back to those infront of her. She knew she just wanted to make friends. Worst case senerio you'll just have to outrun a gang of younger nit-wits, she thought herself as her paws got to moving. As she contemplated who to confront, Soske noticed that one of the wolves wasn't even an adult. She wasn't to partial to youngsters, but they were also always the easiest to approach because they were innocent and uneducated. She was too kind to interrupt their conversation, though, and instead warily made her way over to the other charcoal she-wolf. Stopping a friendly distance away, Soske wagged her tail in greeting as she glanced between wolves. " On a nice day like today, what are you pups doing sitting around?" she teased, awkwardly taking a seat. Was she being too pushy, getting comfortable in their presence? The female hung her head slightly, trying to pose herself as non-threatening as possible. Maybe she was trying too hard. At this point Soske kind of wished she has just gone around them.

Raven had gone back to watching the ocean, lost in thought, when she suddenly heard an unfamiliar feminine voice directly behind her; "On a nice day like today, what are you pups doing sitting around?" Though the voice itself was friendly and had a joking lilt, it still caused Raven to jolt from surprise. She jumped to her feet and spun to face whoever had spoken, her tail raised and her ears pulled forward aggressively. ‘Damn, the ocean’s noise really covers up a lot of other sounds. This is the second time in a row I've been snuck up on,’ she thought to herself sourly. As she turned, however, a loose stone gave way underneath her paw, causing Raven lost her footing. Having been standing so close to the edge of the cliff, her hind leg slipped off of it and she scrambled to regain her balance and keep from falling. It only took her a moment of scrapping rock before she was safely back on land, miraculously without any injuries. She took a few steps away from the ledge and played it off as if nothing had happened. Raven returned her attention to the wolf sitting on the ground before her. She was tall, even while sitting, and Raven assume they were about the same in height. The other did have a larger build, though, and was covered in a light fur of dull whites, defining grays, and soulful browns. However, she looked tired and grateful to be able to sit down. Raven couldn't help but wonder how long she had been walking for. “Who are you?” Raven finally asked in a shaky albeit accusatory tone, the excess adrenaline from the near fall having found its way to her voice box, “Why is what we’re doing any of your business?” She then quickly added, “A-And don’t call me a pup! I’m full-grown!” Though she meant to sound angry with that last part, is it came across as more of a whine and she immediately regretted saying it at all. She was trying to be intimidating, dammit! And when you’re trying to be intimidating you don’t complain — you make orders.

" On a nice day like today, what are you pups doing sitting around?" CloudSpiral turned to see a newcomer; a large, older female with pale fur and a friendly-enough tone. Raven almost stumbled on the edge of the cliff, sending rocks clattering down, which concerned CloudSpiral. He saw that she acted as though it hadn't happened, her confidence and pride allowing her to recover easily. “ Who are you? Why is what we’re doing any of your business? A-And don’t call me a pup! I’m full-grown!” CloudSpiral looked back at Sage. " Should we see what's going on?" He wanted to see what was happening, so he glanced at Sage once more. " I'll be right back." He padded over to the two other she-wolves, head held high and claws scraping the rocks beneath his paws. " Raven's right, we're not pups. We may be younger than you, but we're fully grown wolves." He dipped his head in greeting. " However, I do not mean to appear rude in any way. I am CloudSpiral, this is Raven, and that one over there," he continued, nodding toward Sage, " is Sage. There's another wolf somewhere around here, but I haven't spoken to him." He cocked his head. " Where have you come from?" Soske @raven Sage @inigo OOC: Lol nice save Raven XD

she believed she could, so she did Soske is so grumpy xD ♦ @cloudspiral, @raven, Sage Hardly a single "hello", not a wag of a tail or even a smile. The she-wolf felt her skin crawling as all attention was brought to her. "Who are you?" demanded the onyx one after scrambling to regain her composure due to a mindless tumble. Soske may have been tempted to crack a sympathetic smile, but at this point she felt more threatened than anything. She reminded herself that she was the outsider that randomly appeared here, but nevertheless Soske forced herself back onto all fours, ready to be asked to leave. "Why is what we're doing any of your business? A-and don't call me a pup! I'm full-grown!" she continued. It was her tone that immediately flipped a switch in her, like a spark igniting an engine. Her ears flattened in disbelief, fur standing in annoyance. Meanwhile, Soske raised her head dominantly, noticing she was slightly taller than the other. " Then you should act full-grown. A polite greeting would have been just fine, dear" she hissed, tail flicking behind her.
Before she could turn tail and make her departure, another voice met her ears, that of one of the males. A black brute came to stand next to the she-wolf, head held high but not high enough; he was even smaller then the girl. His tone was anything but ignorant, thankfully, as he explained that they were adults like her. Nevertheless, Soske silently rolled her eyes. It was just a joke, damn, she thought. " I am Cloudspiral,-" that's a mouthful of a name, "-this is Raven, and that one over there is Sage." the male continued. The lupine lightly dipped her head in greeting, though she was hardly interested anymore. She was uncomfortable and felt personally attacked, not worthy to even breath in these wolves presence. They didn't want her around. "Where have you come from?" said Cloudspiral, catching her attention once more. "Everywhere. Anywhere. I'm a traveler." she said curtly, fur settling finally. "I've been moving for over a year."

" Everywhere. Anywhere. I'm a traveler." The older wolf's tone was irritated. " I've been moving for over a year." CloudSpiral sighed, knowing they had been too aggressive toward the she-wolf. " I apologize for any troubling words we may have spoken. We may not be pups, but we're far from wise." CloudSpiral let his tail wag ever so slightly, trying to show that he meant her no harm. " We haven't been here long, but I, like you, have traveled for a long time." He shook out his pelt. " You are more than welcome here. No one owns this territory, it's anyone's land."

Raven noticed CloudSpiral approaching them upon spotting the new wolf. No, she could handle this on her own! she didn’t need his help! She tried to send him this message with a light glare, but he didn’t seem to catch on. "Then you should act full-grown,” the new wolf said to her, “A polite greeting would have been just fine, dear.” Raven turned her attention back to the other wolf at this, surprised irritation spurred into anger by this passive-aggressive comment. “Who are you to tell me what to do?” she snarled, “And I’d watch yourself if I were you. Remember, there’s three of us and only one of you.” "Raven's right, we're not pups. We may be younger than you, but we're fully grown wolves," CloudSpiral butted in, lowering his head in greeting. Raven grimaced at the sound of her name, but at least he was siding with her. "However, I do not mean to appear rude in any way.” Well, never mind that idea. “I am CloudSpiral, this is Raven, and that one over there is Sage.” Raven growled at the mention of her name this time. Why was he introducing them to a stranger they knew nothing about? She gave CloudSpiral a warning glare. “There's another wolf somewhere around here, but I haven't spoken to him." There were a couple of others, actually, but none of them accompanied them to the river. Not that Raven particularly cared. Though, come to think of it, maybe she should. More wolves in her pack equaled more power against wolves like these; wolves who think they have to right to rule everything; wolves that think they’re better than everyone else. But then again, more wolves also came with a larger threat of being betrayed. She had to be careful who she chose to allow in. She still wasn’t very sure about Sage, but CloudSpiral seemed like the type to be loyal, especially considering his feelings for her. "Where have you come from?" CloudSpiral pursued the stranger. "Everywhere. Anywhere. I'm a traveler. I've been moving for over a year," she responded. So much for a straight answer. "I apologize for any troubling words we may have spoken. We may not be pups, but we're far from wise." “Speak for yourself!” Raven barked, “I’m not sorry at all! And plenty wise! How can you assume she's that much wiser, just because she's older than us?” "We haven't been here long, but I, like you, have traveled for a long time. You are more than welcome here. No one owns this territory, it's anyone's land." Raven scoffed and pushed her way past the two, done with this conversation. No one was listening to her! As she brushed past the lighter wolf, she whispered harshly in a voice only she could hear, “If you think you’re better than us or entitled to something just because you’re older and ‘wiser’, then I suggest you leave before things get ugly. Because you’re not. And I’ll be damned if I let you take it from me.” She continued on her way without looking back. “Consider yourself warned,” she called over her shoulder with a swish of her tail. Still angry about being disrespected, Raven made her way past Sage and back to the river. There she lay on its bank, her head resting on her paws and her nose just above the water. She watched the fish swim just beneath the surface, furious thoughts buzzing through her head. If this new she-wolf was trying to steal something that was rightfully hers, you can bet your ass she was going to fight for it. She doubted it would take much effort to get Sage and CloudSpiral on her side and the three of them could run her off together. She did have a knack for changing others’ minds, after all.

she believed she could, so she did I would have given Sage a chance to post, but I decided I wanted to move Soske <3 ♦ Sage ,@cloudspiral ,@raven Raven, as Cloudspiral introduced, was fuming. Friendship was a lost cause here. A not-so-forgiving smirk crept at her lips as she watched the lady fuss within the brutes speech. It was obviously she didn't like the brute speaking for her, but Soske simply nodded as she listened. "You are welcome here. No one own's this territory, it's anyone's land." he finished. Before the lupine could thank him, she was interrupted by the livid Raven who pushed her way to Soske's flank. She need not say anything to cause a growl to be pushed through her lips. Soske side-stepped, auds flattened once more as she prepared for a fight. No, that wasn't it. "If you think you’re better than us or entitled to something just because you’re older and ‘wiser’, then I suggest you leave before things get ugly. Because you’re not. And I’ll be damned if I let you take it from me." she snarled, before marching off. Soske's attention immediately turned to Cloudspiral and the she-wolf behind him, Sage. Her hues narrowed in disgust. How could they stand to be around such a disrespectful lupine? "This un-owned land is anything but inviting." she hissed, taking a step back. "You're friend needs a muzzle. Goodbye." Soske swung her large head away, trotting passed the wolves. Her cranium held high, the irritable bitch couldn't help but glance towards Raven, offering a smug grin before making her departure. Perhaps the pack lands would be more hospitable to her simple jokes.| Exit to Somnus Border Outskirts |

As Sage was about to talk to CloudSpiral, she heard a new voice from behind her, "On a nice day like today, what are you pups doing sitting around?" She followed Cloudspiral to see the newcomer. It was a she-wolf with pale fur and gleaming eyes. She didn't seem like a threat, but she did seem way older.
"Who are you?" Said Raven in a shaky voice, "Why is what we’re doing any of your business? A-And don’t call me a pup! I’m full-grown!" Although Raven tried to sound angry, she didn't, it sounded a more like a whine.
You couldn't really tell from the facial expression of the new-comer if she was confused or angry. Suddenly CloudSpiral cut in and said to the new she-wolf, "Raven's right, we're not pups. We may be younger than you, but we're fully grown wolves." He dipped his head in greeting. "However, I do not mean to appear rude in any way. I am CloudSpiral, this is Raven, and that one over there," he continued, nodding toward Sage, "is Sage. There's another wolf somewhere around here, but I haven't spoken to him." He cocked his head.
"Where have you come from?" Cloudspiral added.
"Everywhere. Anywhere. I'm a traveller." she said curtly, fur settling finally. "I've been moving for over a year." The she-wolf answered.
Wow, Sage thought, I am a traveller too, I just go around to places aimlessly looking for food, water and shelter. Sage decided to stay quiet, she felt very awkward around the new wolf, not that she was scared, no, rather a bit insecure of what she might think. Usually, when Sage meets others, she acts as nice as possible, but when the others get to really know her, she is a different wolf, which doesn't always end well.
Replying to Raven's not so nice comment, the she-wolf raised her head dominantly, noticing she was slightly taller than the others. " Then you should act full-grown. A polite greeting would have been just fine, dear" she hissed, tail flicking behind her. Raven hissed at the response, "Who are you to tell me what to do?” she snarled, “And I’d watch yourself if I were you. Remember, there’s three of us and only one of you.”
After replying to Cloudspiral, The new wolf seemed rather annoyed at Raven and Cloudspiral, another reason why Sage stayed quiet.
Cloudspiral looked at the lupine and said "I apologize for any troubling words we may have spoken. We may not be pups, but we're far from wise." CloudSpiral let his tail wag ever so slightly, trying to show that he meant her no harm. "We haven't been here long, but I, like you, have travelled for a long time." He shook out his pelt. "You are more than welcome here. No one owns this territory, it's anyone's land." Sage glanced at Raven who was looking very mad at the moment.
“Speak for yourself!” Raven barked, “I’m not sorry at all! And plenty wise! How can you assume she's that much wiser, just because she's older than us?”
"We haven't been here long, but I, like you, have travelled for a long time. You are more than welcome here. No one owns this territory, it's anyone's land." CloudSpiral tried to sound as nice as possible to the rather annoyed looking new she-wolf.
Then it happened. Raven was mad, like really mad. She scoffed and pushed past the new wolf and CloudSpiral, turning her head back and saying, “If you think you’re better than us or entitled to something just because you’re older and ‘wiser’, then I suggest you leave before things get ugly. Because you’re not. And I’ll be damned if I let you take it from me.” She took a few steps and continued, "Consider yourself warned." And left with a swish of her tail. From a distance, you could see her laying on the bank of the river. In disgust, the new wolf looked from Raven back to CloudSpiral and Sage. She narrowed her eyes and said in a rather harsh tone. "This un-owned land is anything but inviting." she hissed, taking a step back. "You're friend needs a muzzle. Goodbye." After swiftly turning around and leaving. "Wow, someone's really mad today," Sage noted, sighing as she looked at Raven, who continued to lay at the bank.
"I'm sorry for not stepping in, I'm just not the best at socializing with others, and now I feel like I'm the one who made Raven and the other wolf mad." Sage shook her head and turned away from CloudSpiral, sitting down her back towards him. She rustled the leaves beneath her paws and took a deep breath. “S peak for yourself!” Raven barked angrily, “ I’m not sorry at all! And plenty wise! How can you assume she's that much wiser, just because she's older than us? If you think you’re better than us or entitled to something just because you’re older and ‘wiser’, then I suggest you leave before things get ugly. Because you’re not. This un-owned land is anything but inviting." Soske hissed, taking a step back. " You're friend needs a muzzle. Goodbye." As the older wolf insulted Raven, CloudSpiral felt his fur rising and muscles tightening. His lips curled into a snarl, his eyes flashing with anger. " You know what?" He called after the older wolf. " Forget anything I said! I was only trying to diffuse the tension! If you come back here and start things again, you'll be facing off against me!" He barked loudly, watching as she disappeared in the distance. " I'm sorry for not stepping in, I'm just not the best at socializing with others, and now I feel like I'm the one who made Raven and the other wolf mad." CloudSpiral realized that Sage was speaking to him, and his fur lay flat again. He flicked his ears, eyes no longer angry. " It's not your fault, Sage, it's mine. I shouldn't have said anything." He looked over at Raven, who was laying beside the water, fuming. " I should go apologize to her..." He trotted off, making his way to the dark female. " Raven..." he took a moment to consider his words. " I'm sorry. I should've just spoken for myself. I was out of line." He sat beside her, sighing. " My father always taught me to make peace and avoid confrontation, but I only made things worse. I understand if you don't want to speak to me. I was wrong to speak in your place."

Sage lifted her head to hear CloudSpiral talk, "It's not your fault, Sage, it's mine. I shouldn't have said anything." He looked over at Raven, who was laying beside the water, fuming. "I should go apologise to her..." He trotted off, making his way to the dark female. Sage huffed. He knows it's my fault, he's just not admitting it. I always make things go wrong. Suddenly she remembered something. Before coming here, she remembered seeing another terrain, not filled with rocks but forests, it looked beautiful, she knew it was another pack, which is why she didn't enter, seems as she was a rogue. But now, she thought, I should join the pack, I am tired of a being a lonely, aimless rogue. Maybe if they let me in, I could work my way up to be an alpha, and if that doesn't work, well I may have to fight for the spot.
A grin appeared on Sage's face, she got up, lightly flicked a leaf off of her paw and raised her head high. She closed her eyes, imagining herself standing on a rock, while all the other wolves of her pack stood beneath her, their heads bowed down. She imagined herself ruling a pack at the top of a mountain, filled with snow and ice, the wolves would be strong warriors. She imagined herself unbeatable, everyone who tried to fight her would fall to the ground. There was no stopping her now, her mind was set on one thing, and one thing only, to become the Alpha. The she-wolf opened her eyes and took a deep breath. She walked over to the two wolves; CloudSpiral and Raven. She cleared her throat and confronted the two. "So guys, I am sorry to say, but I will be leaving the Rocklands and moving to a different place." Sage found it hard to say goodbye, she became good friends with both Raven and CloudSpiral, she hated to admit, but she would miss them, since they technicaly where her first and only friends. She didn't tell them where she was going, not because she didn't want them following, but because she didn't want them to think that she was moving away from them because they are 'not good enough'. "I hope you had an alright time with me, because I know for sure I loved hanging out with both of you" Without even waiting for them to say goodbye, which they might not even say as they probably didn't want her around anyways, she swiftly turned around, flicking her tail behind her and ran at full speed to the border.
