The exit of the cave that leads into the Mountain Prairie, and (below) into a valley thats not so rocky as the rest of the land.
Surrounding the valley of soft, green grass are big, flat rocks, towering above any being's head. The stone cliff is cold and smooth in some parts, and usually, because there are cliffs sheltering the valley, it's almost never windy. Not many animals except birds, small reptiles, and the ocasional small mammal visit the area here.

Victor "To Stay Three Years On A Rock."
Emerging from the gloomy caverns, Victor turned rosette eyes toward the land he now found himself in, momentarily stunned into silence by a subtle beauty unlikely to be seen by many others. The land he was standing upon was framed with ominous stones, looming overhead like watchful guardians. A sloped meadow lay between each side, furred with swaying blades of gold that moved in simple shimmering waves, washing the land with the occasional metallic gleam accompanied by a soft rustle. Petite, scraggly trees clung to small coves of soil tucked within the boulders. Wind was absent in the area, the tall stone walls blocking most of the harsh weather that swept the rolling lands. To him, it was a rather unique place, protected and quiet, the coming of night silencing any bustling animal noises it might ordinarily possess.
Turning toward his twin, Victor searched for any signs of weariness in his sister, as he himself felt slight fatigue from their journey and was leaning toward the idea of relaxing for the rest of the evening. “Vespen, shall we bed here for the night?” His words were softly spoken yet relieved and even merry, as he was rather pleased to find a place such as this, especially when he knew well the amount of wolves who had taken to the unclaimed lands in this area. “Though it hasn’t an abundance of prey, we should be able to find a pheasant or vole, should it please you.”
Ears swiveling toward her to pick up her answer, the handsome phantom ventured a few strides into the valley, gazing around him with continued subdued awe. The rocks and meadow was still slicked from the day’s previous rain, providing small puddles cradled along the upward stretching walls. They would do as a supply of water, he was quite sure. Though, they wouldn’t last for too many days unless they received following showers, so their time here could become limited. But for the moment, it seemed safe and providing, and that was sufficient enough.

Vespen followed her brother's ghostly form, ears flicking upon her head as new sounds began to be heard. A sound like a waterfall was heard far into the distance, however, the sound was not a constant stream of crashing water but had a rhythm. This put her at ease in this new environment, not to mention the setting sun brought the welcomed night. Raising her head she slowly moved to her brothers side, head moving to rest over his shoulder, pink eyes closing. She let out a soft sigh as she heard him speak, removing her head from him she finally took a detailed look at the land around them.
The rolling hills of green and grey had her take a silent gasp. With the setting sun, this new world looked beautiful and nothing like what she had seen before. Nodding her head absent-mindlessly to her brother, she finally began to move on her own. Taking the lead momentarily, as her own body moved on its own to find a better vantage point to look out at this brand new world. "Beautiful," she murmured eyes wide and a new exhilaration filling her limbs with new life.
Before she had been wary and tired, a dull ache beginning to form in her pads but now all she wanted to do was explore. With a joyful wag of her tail and head lifted, she bounded up a slope, body moving with grace and ease. Reaching the top she stopped and let the winds from the ocean push against her pelt. The air contained a saltiness she was unaccustomed to and it had her wrinkling her nose in slight disgust. She wanted to know where this smell was coming from, but only a few steps forward and she tumbled on a lose rock. Rolling onto her back ungracefully she began to pout.
"UUU," she groaned out, wiggling her limbs before rolling back to her feet, head immediately try to see her back to see what damage had been done to her pristine white pelt. Thankfully the land here wasn't wet and she avoided covering herself in mud, but she still managed to get grass and green stains in her pelt. Grumbling she began to try and lick herself clean, forgetting about the salty air or the beautiful view.
Finally satisfied with her work she looked to Victor, knowing he wouldn't be too far from her. "Let's find a place to bed, like you said," she quipped, trotting forward and began scavenging for an abandoned den.

The wind flows over the valley making whisper like sounds that would freeze the blood of some creatures, the place would seem lifeless but a figure that padded slowly was breaking with the motionless environment, the creature had a dark gray coat with shades of lighter tones in some parts. It was Karini a young she-wolf that had just entered to this unknown territories for her, the dark pelted she-wolf didn't know where she could find any food or water as the place was completely unknown to her, so she only used her smell sense for guiding her way to any available food she could find. "I hope I can find anything before night... I just need to keep searching..." Karina said to herself as she pointed her nose to the air so it would be easier for her to catch any promising scent... After some minutes of a continuous path, she finally spotted a dead deer a few meters from her position so quickly she started walking toward it. "Finally...food" Starts running toward it with the excitement of finally getting her stomach filled again.

Karini finally arrives to the body , without wasting more time starts eating the meat like if there would a tomorrow her hunger was so big that the young wolf just focused on eating, without knowing she put herlsef into a dangerous position , by not having an eye on the surroundings she would be a easy target for the attack of other animals or worse from other wolf. "Finally food...I almost die..."_ She was complaining as she shollowed the food almost without chewing it at all....After a half an hour , Karini finally satisfied her stomach , that Made her to recover all the wasted energy on the long journey she had to do in order to get here. What know?...now I have to see where I am...I doubt being here by yourself isn't a good idea and less if you don't even know where you are...I am a stupid" Karini started to walk to the opposite direction from the carcass, she knew she had to move if she wanted to survive so she disappeared into the distant toward the unknown.

"The trust of the innocent is the liar's most useful tool." Stephen King
Vespen flicked an ear towards her brother's lack of answers before turning away from him. Sighing through pink lips she trotted away, tail raising slightly in defiance towards his avoidance. Rose eyes looked about their landscape, attempting to find a hole or outcrop that would suit their purposes for the night. Lithe limbs carried her easily across the rocks that gathered around them, only once did her body wobble as a stone moved underneath a soft pad. Her ghost-like formed glowed in the night as she darted to and fro.
Climbing a hill the wind picked up and pushed against her, freezing her to the core. Letting out a small chattering noise as she braced against the cold force she stopped. Observing the area, scents caught her nose. Wolves have been here. An ear flickered on top her head, drowsiness soon replaced with curiousness. Like a cat, she quickly descended the hill, her long limbs bouncing her body downwards. Eyes seemed to glow in the dark as new purpose gripped her mind, no longer was she looking for a place to slumber but she was curious beyond belief to find the bodies that belonged to the scents.
Traversing into the valley of rocks and grass, she followed the faint scents. Vespen let her mind linger for a brief moment on her brother, who was still behind her. He was following at a slower pace, probably not as curious about the scents as she was, but he would indulge her nonetheless. White tail flicking behind her as she moved effortlessly across the terrain, head held low as the scents painted a picture in her mind. Males and females have passed through and at a point scents diverged. Left or right? A small tail flick and she was off following the scent towards the right.

Luna wandered down the cave that she had found gracefully hopping from rock to rock, simply enjoying the feeling of hopping around before one of her paws slipped and she landed on her snout. "Fuck!" She yelled before standing up and sticking her tongue out, attempting to lick her scraped nose. She continued hopping along, seemingly as though she had learned nothing, but if you looked closely you could see her eyes watching the rocks carefully avoiding the ones that appeared loose or small. She hopped across the rocks a little while longer before reaching the exit of the cave. She poked her head out and looked around at the grassy terrain before tentatively stepping out of the cave. She had no problem with grasslands or valleys, but this land reminded her too much of the land she had grown up in. The place she lost her Starlight in. She took a few more steps in, then spotted a mouse a few feet away. Her thoughts went from her past to the mouse, and her mind went from that of a child's to that of a professional. She stalked toward it before launching at it and grabbing it in her mouth. She bit down hard, and the mouse was dead in an instant. She sat down and began eating, glancing around the grassy valley looking for other wolves.

WORDS: n/a | TAG: open | NOTES: Here's my gal Loir!
The valley was a very beautiful place in Loir's opinion. She had not seen a place as calming and beautiful as this before, and to be honest, it made the Hudson Bay Wolf happy during her time as a lone wolf, a rogue, which had been for not that long. Loir needed a pack, but she knew that probably wouldn't happen yet, and it made her upset. Since her whole family was murdered, Loir had been on the run to find a family to perhaps keep her company, take care of her, anything. All she knew was that she just needed a family, and just a friend or two could be considered family, hopefully.
Would she ever find any friends here in the valley?
Loir had remembered the fellow rogue Laika that had been kind to her, and Loir decided to maybe consider her a friend. Maybe they would end up seeing each other here some time? Loir wasn't sure. Just then, Loir's ears perked up as she noticed a small rabbit hop by. She knew food wasn't very plentiful in the valley, but she didn't care. Any kind of food would be able to suit her, but at the moment, she wasn't hungry, and didn't really have the urge or feeling to hunt. Whatever. Loir thought as she rested her head on her paws. Maybe someone will hunt for me.
And if you're still breathing you're the lucky ones. cause most of us are heaving through corrupted lungs.

Canis Paced the terrain, waiting for a rabbit to foolishly hop by her. She Found that rabbits would usually pass by this area to get to a small pond, to which, she took advantage of. The newly risen sun cast an ere, yet beautiful golden glow on the earth below it. The morning dew drops on the grass dampened her large mitts as she paced the area. After what seemed like an hour of waiting, a rabbit finally ran by, catching the large canine off guard. She whipped around, only to stumble over onto the ground. Annoyed, the dame huffed in irritation. The rabbit kept running, probably congratulating its self for not getting eaten.
The she-wolf sighed accepting her morning would be without a meal. The amazing landscape could make up for that though. She glanced around now taking in the terrain, her jaw hung open in amazement at the sight, though she'd been here many times before, her head couldn't wrap around the idea of such a beautiful place existing.
After a few silent moments of starring in awe, she decided to get her day going. 'The start of today wasn't to great, doesn't mean the rest of today will be just as bad' she thought, trying to see the best of loosing her breakfast. A small stream caught her attention, Instantly Canis bounded over to it, over joyed. She spent another minute watching fish swim by before plunging her head into the water, successfully catching a small bass. She dropped it onto the bank, watching it flop about in an attempt to breath. It Died. She ate it content she had caught something.
After Her small meal she lay down at the bank, her front mitts dipped into the cooling water, when a thought hit her. 'Am I going to be alone like this forever?' she hadn't thought of it before, but it was very lonely. But she had no say it what did and didn't happen to her, if she did she would still be with her parents. She sighed, the large huff of air causing the waters surface to ripple across. 'Maybe I can find a companion?' ..

The she wolf was very pretty, Shiban concluded after silently watching her from behind a small patch of bush. She moved rather clumsily at times, but he admired her perseverance. A pang of familiarity hit him though when she spoke of her loneliness and search for a friend. His head had dropped a bit in conscious knowing of what she was feeling. He had, over the past few weeks, had found no one to share some of this life with. Maybe she would be the friend he was searching for. "I hate to catch you off-guard," Shiban chuckled, letting his orange fur now escape the shadows. He padded up to her kindly, his normal stupid grin on his face, "I couldn't help but overhear your wish. I too have been searching for a friend," he grinned, slowly and calming sitting a few feet from her. He glanced over with a generous smirk. Attachments:

Soft mauve paw pads brushed against rough grass and rocky terrain as a ruddy female glided over the valleys land. This area was new to her. This was all new to her. Karasu smelled scents of worn wolves, weary with time and independence. The grass here was well trodden from dozens of paws passing through, hoping to find a future here among this tired land. Sturdy mountain flowers grew near rocky outcrops and under shard of stone jutting from the lumpy ground. She stopped to run her muzzle over one, enjoying the earthy smell it left on her snout. She promptly looked up and sneezed, pollen exiting her nose in a flurry. Shaking her head, she began to move forward once again, scanning the land with her jade colored eyes, and she froze, catching the movement of a cotton tail and tall, brown and grey mottled ears. She crouched, stalking the hare quietly and surley, remembering all the time her and her brothers had hunted small prey together. As she got very close to the rodent, a rock slid from under her paw, making a clattering sound, and the hare's head shot up to look in her direction. It poised to flee, speeding off in the opposite direction, and she sped after it, running right on it fluffy little tail. The chase lasted a while, and soon she began to realize it's home was very near, and right as it was about to bounce into it's hole, it stumbled on a rock, flipping, opening a spot for the hunt to end. Karasu promptly pounced, slamming her paw onto it's fragile, slender back, and put her jaws around it's neck, snapping it with a jerk of her head. The hunt was over. exit valley

Soft pawsteps filled the air as the group of wolves made their way single-file through rocky and sharp terrain and found their way into the valley. Tenzin smelled the difference in the air, and felt it; there wasn't a breeze to be felt, and no salty tang of the sea nearby. The ground was soft, strands of long grass poking through the snow. He couldn't see the scenery, but he felt it had a beautiful quality to it. The evening sun was out by now, and in his haze of color he could see the orange hues the sun cast in the sky when he opened his eyes. That was all he could see--colors. It wasn't just a blurry mess, it all blended together into a Rorschach paining of different hues. He could distinguish no shapes, faces, moving objects--it was all just one big blur. He closed his eyes again with a small sigh, walking a little closer to Hai. Even in the short amount of time they had been in each other's company, he felt comfortable with her and like he could rely on her to do everything she could to help him. He appreciated it and wanted to extend the same presence himself. At the entrance to the cave they stopped, Tenzin and Hai only a wolf or two behind Astro, the assumed leader of the group. Tenzin was too nice to be an alpha, anyway. He was alright with taking whatever role was given to him. After all, if he was in a more unforgiving pack, he would have been killed as a pup when they realized his sight was going. Most wolves saw disabilities as a weakness, a disease to be eradicated so that it could not be spread to another generation. Tenzin was incredibly grateful that he had been spared by gentle parents and kind strangers. The rusty teen sniffed the air with a dark nose, then nodded. It seems we have made it," he inquires to Astro, stepping up to him. Hai's paws were sore, multiple pieces of slate digging into the pads. She felt the warmth of Tenzin's thick fur by her side, and felt comforted, driven to go on and to get to where they needed to be. She began to think about how this would continue, what would happen if these wolves decided to stay with them long term. Would they consider themselves a pack, or just a rogue group? She slid slightly closer to her companion, watching as the few wolves in front of them swished their tails from side to side against the rocky hillside. She exhaled, noticing the puff of misty air that came out dissipated strait into the air instead of floating up first, pointing out to her the air was stiller here, the valley protected by the large hill they were traveling against. Glancing to her side, she noticed Tenzin's violet eyes open, reflecting the sun's light on their royal hues, and then close once again. She wondered how he was blessed to have such an individual eyes color, so different from the wolves she had seen. Her own pale sunglow orbs turned to survey the land, taking in the scenery. The grass was actually greener here, despite the dark brown bits poking from shards of rock here and there, cattails growing around a tiny pond like structure, but too small to be considered so. Hai slowed, the groups progress coming to a gentle stop as she heard Tenzin's young voice. "It seems we have made it," She heard him say, directed at the supposed leader of their group. She could see how he would be the authority here, the wolf collected were already following him. "How does it look as a potential den to keep us for the brunt of this cold?" Hai looked at the land once again at his words. It was considerably warmer here, she agreed it would work. @astro Apprentice Corvidae Nooné @lexavein @feverfew @tenzin Astoria @knox Spirit

Kebechet enters the valley with an optimistic heart, the soft grass a relief to her paw pads. When she had realized she had all but plastered herself to Knox’s side throughout the duration of the trip, she had at first grown stiff and embarrassed, but upon seeing that no judgement or ridicule was forthcoming, had grown relaxed again. The group had exchanged idle chatter and laughs the entire way through, and the petite wolf found herself entirely grateful for the distraction. Something about storms just… upset her, she didn’t know why. “Maybe use those rocks of yours to make sure that weather doesn’t hit us, yeah?” She calls to Cori, nearly back to her previously exuberant self. As the band of lupines crowds around the cave entrance, she shoots a Knox a sheepish look through her lashes - the most thanks her pride would allow at that moment. He had been a comfort, for certain. Slipping her way to the front, she peers into the cave as Tenzin inquires, How does it look as a potential den to keep us from the brunt of this cold? “It looks hella cozy,” she says, just as Astro replies. Should be big enough to store the lot of us, if you don’t mind being a bit cuddly. Everyone holding up alright? No bumps or bites hopefully? “I’m going to be delivering some bumps and bites if we don’t get inside!” The rust colored bitch quips lightly, tail giving a few wags. It’s time you all enjoyed the best sleep you’ve gotten since we first left the coastline. Nothing will hurt us here! What a relief. Kebechet was energetic, to put it gently, but even she had her limits - and hours of travel was that limit, to be sure. Slipping into the cave, she sprawls out and stretches before curling herself into a ball. She was almost glad they would be forced to cuddle - at the very least, it would be warm.

ROGUE KNOX
Within the first few meters of their journey there seemed to be something that would not leave his side, or should he say someone. Not that Knox minded in the slightest, actually he was quite exuberent when Kebechet plastered her side against his own. Having the younger wolf trust in him, in what appeared to be a mixture of worry and fear, had his heart brimming with joy.
Knox failed though in this one mission, to distract her mind from what was bothering him. He had never figured himself to be a shy guy but words just did not form in his mouth. Not to say he hadn’t been thinking of things to say, or do. He wanted to bump her slightly in teasing manner but even his body wouldn’t budge except for following the leader.
He guessed his freeze mostly had to deal with forming a new connection he hoped he could consider as a friend. His own sensitivity to friendliness and compassion was his downside in this one moment. Too overwhelmed with the joy of a moment of closeness he failed to help a friend out. Heart stricken at this realization, he only had moments to register her look of gratitude.
Perhaps, he hadn’t failed at all?
Smirking, he quickly followed his new friend. Ears perked as they neared the front of the group, he allowed her to take the lead while he stood behind. Ebony ears perked as he listened and chuckled at ‘Chet’s remark.
“I agree, there are somethings that should not be frozen that are frozen,” Knox remarked towards the male’s in jest and joke before slipping inside to follow Kebechet. Still smirking he looked to lay down next to her, but before doing so he looked to her for permission.
If she gave her permission he moved to settle next to her, his back pressed against her back as he curled into a similar looking ball. His tail however moved to cover over her lower half. “Sleep tight,” he would murmur before drifting into sleep.
If Kebechet decided she would rather have space he would nod with a kind smile. “Well, sleep well, talk to you in the morning,” dipping his head he would turn and leave. Looking to Astro or Cori as a sleeping partner, as Knox was not a fan of being cold.
