| Eureka didn't exactly mind when her brother walked in front of her. It was comforting to know that his tougher presence was with her, and despite Draco's feelings about her gaining their parents title instead of himself, she was very grateful for her brother's frame beside her own. Despite all these things running through her head, she made sure that as they grew closer to the borders that her posture kept it's upright form. Her cranium held high, stance set wide and shoulders squared as the bombarding scents grew closer and closer. She could already tell that there were more rogues than she had anticipated, perhaps she should've brought Violet as well. It was too late now, especially as she stepped into sight of the group which had formed at the edge of her home.
Caramel eyes narrowed as she instantly saw Weayaya's bright hues entangled with a stranger. She was relieved to see that the youngling was safe and hadn't gotten into any trouble, but she was equally curious to know who his friend was. Eureka moved on from the two pups, instead sweeping her calm gaze across each figure that had gathered, each wolf seeming to have pros and cons gradually being listed in her mind before any of them had even opened their mouths. "I am Alphess Eureka, of Somnus," She began, trying to emulate the tone that Azaelia or her mother would have used, subconsciously hoping that she was living up to what they hoped she would be. "I would like each of you to please state your name and purpose for bringing yourself to my borders." Eureka stated with a tone of confidence.
Hopefully each of them would prove to be here with peaceful intentions, it would be nice to welcome a few new faces into the pack, though she doubted that each face here would be following her and Draco back to the commons. The pups would have guaranteed entrance unless they gave her a good reason to think otherwise, perhaps even the wolves who proved they could not fend for themselves. Her gentler heart would not let the young or weak walk away from her borders, but despite this, she would not prove to be a push-over either. | Tagged: Alpha Draco, @weayaya, @yiska, @topaz, @trico, @ashi, @uzumati, @cosmo, @wanda, @wynston, @dorseyhiccup, @ravus, @storm, @lucaOOC: Hopefully I tagged everyone x-x |

"Couldn't wait up?" Wanda's chiding voice spoke from beside him, her moist nose pressing through his fur. "So sorry, Wanda! I'm just excited, maybe nervous, a mixture of both most likely," Uzu responded back to the petite she-wolf sheepishly. Honestly, the albino brute hadn't tried to join a pack since he left his home far up North. Wanda's melodious howl from near him lasted just long enough to break the giant out of his thoughts. However, there was another variable that caught his attention. "Hello everyone! My name is Cosmo, its really nice to meet you guys! What're your names?" the pup-ish male barked out, drawing a small chuckle out of the older wolf. "Hyperactive aren't you? The name's Ashi. Nice to meet you." one of the other rogues responded. Uzumati dipped his head in greeting, his plum and pink eyes closing momentarily as he did so. He held his tongue for the moment, knowing that a pack wolf would soon arrive, and names would be announced then. "Hey Wanda should we howl? Or have you guys already howled? Or do you want us to howl if you haven't?" Cosmo questioned again. Uzumati, still grinning, gave his head a small shake to the chocolate male. There were enough howls in the air for whomever ran these lands to know that there were plenty of rogues here. When he thought of a pack wolf arriving soon, the tangerine pup was not what he was expecting. "Yiska!" the young male exclaimed, bowling into the pup that had arrived shortly after the quartet. It was heart warming to say the least. That kind of raw emotion, that kind of love that two siblings could have for each other hadn't been felt in years from the albino beast. A small pang of homesickness rang through the male, but he didn't have to dwell on it for long. Two more wolves arrived, one introducing himself as Luca, the other not stating a name, but simply a greeting, as he had done. The younger male's voice held a strong accent, one Uzumati had never encountered in his travels. He presumed that this pup had traveled far from his birth place, and the beast took a small amount of pity on the pup. Something must've happened to have the pup be all the way out here, but at least he was on pack borders. Wolves seemed to be popping up left and right, but the newest addition to the gathering of rogues were much more important. Her stance was square, authority radiating off her petite frame. The scent of the pack grounds was refreshed in Uzumati's nasals as the scent of the Alphess broke through those of the rogues. "I am Alphess Eureka, of Somnus. I would like each of you to please state your name and purpose for bringing yourself to my borders," she stated to the congregation of rogues. Uzumati's plum and rose eyes flicked to the male that accompanied her momentarily before he dipped his head deeply to both of the Somnus wolves. He swung his gargantuan cranium around, checking to see that none of the other rogues were about to talk before he opened his maw. "Greetings, Alphess Eureka. My name is Uzumati, and I have come to your borders with hope to join your pack, as I expect most others will also be," Uzumati flicked his head to Wiggles, gesturing for his to come up beside him if he so desired, or wasn't already. He knew that Wanda could keep Cosmo in check, and that they could speak for themselves. For the time they had traveled, he had learned that she was quite head-strong. He felt the closest to Wiggles however, taking on a protective, best friend role from their first conversation. "Hunting is not a problem for me, and fighting of course wouldn't be either, but I prefer to stray from violence. However, and I realize this is odd, and extremely rude to ask after just meeting you Alphess, but I do not believe I could join your ranks without Wiggles," the albino giant finished, slinging his alabaster plumage over the back of his best friend. He lowered his gaze from the Alphess' chest and down to Wiggles, inviting him to say a few words if he desired. Whether he had or not, Uzumati would twist his cranium towards Wanda and Cosmo, alongside the rest of the compartments in the mass of rogues. The giant flicked his salmon tongue out of his mouth, wetting the pink patch on his nose with his saliva. He wanted to know the names of the rest of the rogues around him; he already knew Luca, Ashi, and Yiska. Now it was a waiting game. He knew he was lowering his chances, but he was going to stick by Wiggles from now on out. He felt a connection with the male; the pair of abnormal wolves traveling for the past few days solidifying that bond. He thought of the male as both a friend and almost a brother, and he wasn't going to abandon his brother simply to get into a pack. Wiggles "The joys in life are only what you perceive them to be, not what others tell you they should be."
The dawdling creature found himself falling behind with little hassle, his ears swivelling to and fro, dull optics jumping from one motion to another, and mind lingering on a single thought- Wiggles had friends. Of all the things, he was quite surprised, and as his bland gray-brown hues lingered upon the swaying rumps of his compadres, the wobbling stumbling brute merely let an ear-to-ear grin plaster across his visage. Yup yup yup- These were his friends. His travelling companions. His- Family?
In truth, as he continued forth, Wiggles held no true knowledge of where exactly the quartet was headed, their destination a complete blank in his mind. He'd totally lost focus during each occasion, and as he let himself pick-up stride to close some distance, he'd prepare to ask before a thickly musked scent struck his ebony nasals. Pack wolves. They were upon the bordering lands of a pack, a horde of wolves destine to either be friend or foe. For a moment, he hesitated, eyes locking onto Uzumati, the massive ivory easily growing to be his first line of defence and comfort. Soon enough though, his focus drifted, one-two-three-four... Too many wolves to count splayed themselves across the border. Waiting. Calling. Hoping.
Wiggles, though, let himself stagger, positioning himself a few strides away from the towering silhouette of his first met friend. Cosmo and Wanda were certainly the first to speak up, and his ears flickered with open interest, though he couldn't help but emit the same all too familiar smile he always did. He hadn't bothered to howl himself, his complete attention still barely gained as others moved this way and that, greetings being passed back and forth. Before long, the fluffy cream brute couldn't help but suddenly jerk to one side, tripping on a single paw only to bump into Uzumati's closest flank. The culprit, an excited tangerine furball suddenly appearing from the thick forestry only to crash-tackle an ashen pup of similar sizing. Yes, it was a joyous moment, but the visibly distraught look upon the young Arctics face easily drew attention to how unexpected the happening was.
Side-glancing towards his companion, Wiggles would crack a half-apologetic toothy grin, ears falling to the sides and tail slinking downwards as he aimed to attempt to steady himself. Each limb would work to criss-cross, muscles stiffening as his tail began to awkwardly sway in a plank-like manner to the left, to the right, upwards- Until finally, he was upright and on his own feet. "S-sorry." He'd all but mutter before all attention was lost yet again.
"I am Alphess Eureka, of Somnus. I would like each of you to please state your name and purpose for bringing yourself to my borders."
His deer-in-headlights stare was undeniable, and his focus was locked upon her broad stance as she swept her gaze across the entirety of those surrounding her lands. He could have sworn to see slight tension, but how could one remain so calm in such a scenario? He was quite scared himself, his tail falling, shoulders rolling, toes wiggling as claws dug into the soil beneath in an anxious manner. Anxious- Yes, he certainly was. This female was of such high stature, and she was confronting him (and everyone else)- What was he supposed to do? His first reaction was to recoil, head falling below his shoulders height as his hackles bristled in uncertainty, tail tip unsteadily thrashing back and forth tickling his underside whilst his toes spread far only to continue their incessant digging.
"Greetings, Alphess Eureka. My name is Uzumati, and I have come to your borders with hope to join your pack, as I expect most others will also be."
As a familiar wave of tone and voice soon flooded his auricles, Wiggles let his gaze flutter to his nearest companion, who, to no surprise, had moved forward for his offering of greeting. With his eyes to meet Uzu's, Wiggles couldn't help but cock his head as he was gestured forth. To move closer. And, like the fairly uncertain yet obedient creature he was, he'd let stiff limbs splay forth, carrying him in a slow and shuddered manner until he was at Uzumati's shoulder. Posture never altering from its hesitation.
"Hunting is not a problem for me, and fighting, of course, wouldn't be either, but I prefer to stray from violence. However, and I realise this is odd and extremely rude to ask after just meeting you Alphess, but I do not believe I could join your ranks without Wiggles."
"Hmm?" Suddenly, as his name was placed on the table, the lost Arctic had let his head rise, eyes widening as he looked to Uzumati with curiosity. A sensation to cross his back as the plumage of his friend swept across it in an approving and comforting manner. "U-uh." For a moment, he'd hesitated, his head lowering a few inches once more as he let his tail continue its uncertain wiggle beneath his mass. "H-hello. Alphess. I'm W-wiggles. I can h-hunt a-and I c-can keep pups good c-company." Yup. He was totally, and undeniably, lost. What the hell was he supposed to say? He'd just stuttered like a complete baboon and made himself look like a useless idiot. But it was done, and he couldn't take it back. A half-scared, half-apologetic look seemed to cross his visage as he let himself fall back a single stumbled step, leaning into the plush fur of his nearby companion only to let someone else take the floor.
The attention off of him would have been helpful, and so he prayed someone else spoke up soon enough.

Dorsey Hiccup "Wanna play?"
Without anything from the male next to him, Dorsey Hiccup had slid on to his stomach in a laying position with his muscular legs pushed out in front of him in a stretch. He yawned, tail swishing as his back leg thudded in an off beat. "Dorsey!" The male's head shot up like a firework from it's uncomfortably rested position, swinging around so violet and lilac eyes could spy the body of the voice. He was in such a hurry with his motions that it took three times of looking around to actually find the wolf who had spoken. "A-ash-sh-shi? A-a-shi!" Dorsey was already on his paws dashing toward him, managing to halt just in time. "A-al-muh-most buh-buh-bow-bowled ya o-o-vah." He said in an apologetically giggly voice. A wolf that he knew, even slightly, was mildly comforting in this crowd. Before Ashi had a chance to respond though, Dorsey spied a darkly colored wolf who had come in with a handsome white male and a pretty female. "Hello everyone! My name is Cosmo, its really nice to meet you guys! What're your names?" Dorsey Hiccup wagged his tail playfully, diving into a play bow. This wolf seemed like someone who would actually enjoy roughhousing with him. Maybe.
"Hyperactive aren't you? The name's Ashi. Nice to meet you." Oh! I should introduce myself! "Huh-huh-hiya! I-I'm D-d-d-or-s-s-sey!" He barked happily, moving upward slightly. Gosh, this wolf might not want to be friends with someone who had rude manners. "Hey Wanda should we howl? Or have you guys already howled? Or do you want us to howl if you haven't?" The pink-nosed wolf didn't answer, instead he just swung his tail in slightly draining hope, ears laid back. He turned his head to find even more wolves congregating on the pack borders. His eyes fell downward and he began chewing restlessly on his raised paw. So, so many wolves. With a nervous glance upward, he caught sight of another wolf who seemed a little far off from the group
Dorsey Hiccup slowly moved over toward this ashen wolf, his neck stretched forward in curiosity. "He-hell-o-o? Nam-na-me's Dor-dorsey." He smiled gently whilst he glanced along the wolf's outline, cautiously sitting down beside the male. He rocked from side to side, occasionally glancing to the male in uncomfortable silence that he didn't dare break. Bringing his paw toward his mouth, Dorsey gripped onto his paw and began to chew restlessly. He needed something to fidget with.
"I am Alphess Eureka, of Somnus," Dorsey looked away from the ashen male to hear clearly the words of the beautifully symmetrical Alphess that had come to address the rogues, stopping his chewing for a matter of seconds before starting up again. "I would like each of you to please state your name and purpose for bringing yourself to my borders." Dorsey frowned thoughtfully for a moment, ears pricked to listen to his fellows. "Greetings, Alphess Eureka. My name is Uzumati, and I have come to your borders with hope to join your pack, as I expect most others will also be. Hunting is not a problem for me, and fighting, of course, wouldn't be either, but I prefer to stray from violence. However, and I realise this is odd and extremely rude to ask after just meeting you Alphess, but I do not believe I could join your ranks without Wiggles.", "H-hello. Alphess. I'm W-Wiggles. I can h-hunt a-and I c-can keep pups good c-company."
"Me-me t-t-t-too!" Without thinking, the pink-nosed male called out. Realizing his mistake, Dorsey flicked his ears back in embarrassment and licked his lips before speaking again, eyes sweeping the she-wolf's paws as he focused on his words. "Suh-suh-sorry. I me-meant tha-that-that I-I ca-ca-n hun-t-t too a-an-and I-I-I lu-like pu-pups. I guess I-muh-m per-per-peritty goo-ood at fight-fighting ah-ah-aswell." Unknowing of his robotically spoken words, Dorsey smiled sweetly as his eyes flickered from paw-set to paw-set while his claws dug nervously into the hard-packed dirt, scratching and gritting nervously. "O-oh and I-I-I'm Duh-orsey." By the end of his short introduction, not only were his paws fidgeting and his eyes flashing here and there but his head had slowly began to swing from side to side in an interrupted rhythm. He panted slightly as Dorsey began to feel like he wanted to fold in upon himself. The male bowed his head respectfully, though his movements were jerky from a torn mind and turned himself to the ashen male, nudging him encouragingly to speak up soon though his ears were folded gently against his swinging skull in doing so, not sitting down but just standing away from other wolves.

Wynston "You can't change things for the better unless you take a leap."
Wynston only needed to wait minutes before the scent of two pack wolves could be found. Soon enough a pretty female and a muscular male appeared. Wynny found himself admiring the two, the female seeming fair and kind whilst the male strong and authoritative. All traits that made a good wolf. "I am Alphess Eureka, of Somnus," She sounded strong and the little monotone furred male swallowed. Gosh, what if he didn't get in? Would he never find a group of wolves that would accept him? "I would like each of you to please state your name and purpose for bringing yourself to my borders." Wynston swallowed hard, trying not to show just how nervous he was. He watched the other wolves, expecting that one of them spoke up. At least then he would have something to go off of, a template for speech since he didn't speak that well.
"Greetings, Alphess Eureka. My name is Uzumati, and I have come to your borders with hope to join your pack, as I expect most others will also be," "Hunting is not a problem for me, and fighting of course wouldn't be either, but I prefer to stray from violence. However, and I realize this is odd, and extremely rude to ask after just meeting you Alphess, but I do not believe I could join your ranks without Wiggles," Wynston glanced at the mentioned wolf, seeing an off-white male who looked okay enough. He seemed just a little... off? Whatever, Wynston wasn't one to judge. All he cared about at the moment was finding just the right words so that he might just be accepted. "Hmm?" It seemed Wiggles was just as clueless about what to say as he was. As long as he was fun and wasn't maternal he would be fine in Wynny's books. "U-uh. H-hello. Alphess. I'm W-wiggles. I can h-hunt a-and I c-can keep pups good c-company." Wynston threw him a small smile in hopes that he might befriend at least someone here. He had said he kept pups company not that he was a babysitter.
"Me-me t-t-t-too! Suh-suh-sorry. I me-meant tha-that-that I-I ca-ca-n hun-t-t too a-an-and I-I-I lu-like pu-pups. I guess I-muh-m per-per-peritty goo-ood at fight-fighting ah-ah-aswell. O-oh and I-I-I'm Duh-orsey." That wolf seemed nice too. Well, if he got accepted at least he would have some wolves that he would be more comfortable around.
When no one else took the opportunity to speak, Wynston took a deep breath and stepped forward. His ears were lowered just slightly but he kept himself tall and strong looking, trying desperately to not look too dominant or over-confident. "My name is Wynston. I'm bad with words but I can hunt okay and I like learning." He swallowed again. He didn't what else to say so he just bowed his head, stepped back and took a seat, hopeful eyes watching the Alphess attentively.

With a bit of time the Somnus borders teamed with life; plenty of kind-heart rogues looking for a pack like him. Eventually Trico was compelled to relief his focus from staring intently into the thick forest, instead letting his orange hues dart around thoughtfully towards the others. The odds already didn't seem to be in his favor. As his eyes flickered around to each new face, Trico noticed that there seemed to be three types of wolves here; the quiet ones like him, the friendly ones, and those who seemed to already know each other. That in particular made him uncomfortable, knowing that he was simply on his own. Heck, he had been alone half his life, but it felt upsetting now considering that all of the rogues could be his potential packmates. Pack's were supposed to be family oriented. No man left behind. I'll just have to try a little harder. Even if it kills me. Hiding his frown, Trico let his deviously handsome features melt into a welcoming small smile, making himself appear more approachable. Yet, before he could work up the confidence to butt his way into a conversation, the drifting scent of a Somnus wolf met his nose. The brute wanted to get up and bow as a dominant looking she-wolf joined the gathering, but as soon as he twitched to stand, he reminded himself that he was very large. In contrast, she was incredibly small compared to himself. Perhaps it would be best for him to sit politely. No show of dominance. He had to look just as gentle as he acted, otherwise someone could get intimidated, and he could lose his chance of getting into a pack. Along with the dominant lupine came a similar looking male, perhaps sharing some sort of family bond. Surprisingly, the male appeared a bit taller than him, which seemed incredibly rare to find. Contrary to this, he was less thick, though still walking with dominance in every pawstep. Keeping his rump pressed firmly against the terrain, Trico would perform a deep respectful bow towards the duo, shielding his eyes hesitantly. " I am Alphess Eureka, of Somnus. I would like each of you to please state your name and purpose for bringing yourself to my borders," she would say confidently, holding herself quite well infront of a crowd that had the potential to beat her down. Trico flicked an ear calmly at the thought, dismissing such a terrible idea. First to speak was a alabaster male by the name of Uzumati, making a rather odd statement that he would not join without 'Wiggles'. Trico fought not to smile at the name humorously. It was different indeed, but surely this wolf fit his name. What was better, a goofy looking male suddenly came to attention, stuttering quite a bit as he attempted to explain his skills. Trico was not rude, though. He smiled encouragingly at Wiggles, though he didn't know him, a genuine smile of acceptance. Another stuttering male piped up, taking up Trico's attention for a moment before he would move on. Surely those wolves were sweet rogues, but he couldn't understand why they were so nervous. The only thing he was nervous about was scaring somebody. After all, while coyotes normally ran from him, the occasional male bear saw the huge male as a threat. Next was a much younger male. The pup named himself Wynston, holding his own well infront of the large crowd. Afterwards, things fell silent once again. Trico let his vibrant orbs drift through the crowd once again, making sure he wouldn't interrupt anyone before he spoke, his voice soft as usual, but adolescent sounding despite his age. " Hello," Trico would dip his head again in a tiny bow towards the superiors, bringing their attention towards him. " I am Trico. I traveled here searching for an opportunity to open up and put my skills to better use." Before continuing, Trico would let more weight fall on his front paws as if he were tensing up, the purpose being to let his packed on muscles ripple from his thick coat. Meanwhile, he would lower his cranium and let his eyes fall to the floor, showing that he was not preparing to do anything. " I despise violence, but I will protect my family with my life, and I can take on almost any threat. I'm not a very fast runner, but I can take down large kills fairly easily. If you would have me, I promise I would be nothing less but of use to your pack." finishing, the brute would let his gentle eyes stray back up to meet the eyes of the smaller she-wolf, assuming she was the alphess. He had spoken even more fluently than he imagined, although only time would tell if he had proved himself.

Storm watches the other rogues talk amongst themselves and some stay apart, like him. It seems as though some came in a group and already know each other or have passed each other before. Glancing at each and every one, Storm knows none of them, though to be honest with himself, it seems as though he wouldn't do well with half of them. The stuttering or unable to complete full words or just too young for him. Being more of a serious wolf, he has no time or patients for them and if he was in a group in the wild, he probably would have left them behind or let someone else take care of them. In his world growing up he learned hard that if you don't grow up fast and stop acting like a pup, then you most likely wouldn't have a place in this world later. That's what he believes and will probably always. When the Alphess of the pack makes herself known, Storm flicks his gaze over towards her and not on the other rogues. She asks for their names and a reason to why they are here, good questions. A few wolves talk first, some unable to speak clearly and some clearly. As each wolf speaks, Storm finds himself watching them and almost sizing them up before moving on to another. Seeing his chance at being accepted and theirs as well. The last male to speak, Trico, was a large male, slightly bigger than him though not by much. His words don't give him much hope though, when he states that he despises violence. Violence is good for everyone, when you direct it right. When he was done, Storm flicks his tail slightly before looking back at the Alphess and the male beside her and dips his head in greeting, though it isn't a dramatic dip, just respectful. "My name is Storm and I have no use for extra words, just the facts. I'm good for fighting and hunting."Even faced with the probability that he wont be picked because of his blunt words and his unwillingness to make them all flowery and nice to get ahead of everyone else, Storm wont change who he is. He doesn't have use for extra words. Simple and to the point is how he is, probably why he cant be around pups for long, or one reason. He also remains sitting through this whole thing. Topaz "Great things never came form comfort zones."
Flicking caramel auricles, the arrival of another packwolf dragged Topaz’s intense orange gaze away from the reunited pups. Two pack scents. Drawing himself to a standing position, the handsome brute quickly shook out his fur, ridding any dirt that may cling to his dense pelt. Eyeing the approaching duo, it seemed that they were related. Brother and sister, their intermingled scents clued Topaz in. The first to grab his attention was the male of the two, who walked in front of his sister. His posture was strong and confident, but there was something off. Furrowing his brow, and looking the wolf beside him, realisation quickly struck him. She [i/] was the Alphess, and her brother traipsed in front of her. Flicking the tip of his tail, he found some amusement in the odd situation. Why was this beautiful Alphess seemingly wary? Why, it seems he would figure that out soon enough.
"I am Alphess Eureka, of Somnus, I would like each of you to please state your name and purpose for bringing yourself to my borders." Rolling his shoulders, his inquisitive gaze searched the apparent Alphess, and her companion. Both were relatively well-fed, fit, and confident - for the most part -. Cocking his head to the side, he allowed bright optics to peel away from the female, and look back to the surrounding Rogues, who eagerly piped up, cocky and self-centered. Suppressing a scoff, the grouchy male’s eyes bored into each wolf as he talked, his emotionless facade hiding the slight anticipation that flickered within. The first to pipe up was an odd-looking alabaster giant, with mismatching eyes and pink toned skin. He spoke of finding skill in both hunting and fighting. Resisting the urge to roll his eyes, Topaz settled bitterly back on his haunches, looking to the wolf the giant spoke in reference to. Wiggles. He was a peculiar lad, who seemed to struggle sorting his limbs out. Narrowing his eyes in concern, his paw twitched, almost stepping forward in order to help stabilize the wolf, but he resisted, Wiggles seemed to fare well on his own. The cream colored oddity spoke of pups, and how he had connections with them. Arching his brow curiously, Topaz looked at the distant territory, would there be pups there?
The sounds of stutters brought Topaz back to reality, twisting his cranium to get a look at this speech-impaired stranger. Blinking passively, he offered an encouraging flick of his tail Dorsey’s way, but his expression remained blank. He talked about hunting, pups, and fighting. The whole yard. Pausing thoughtfully, the Rogue looked the wolf up and down, before turning to an ebony youngling who piped up next. His speech was short, only stating he was good at hunting, but struggled with words. Looking at the wolf, Topaz digested this. How could he participate in hunts if he couldn’t understand what orders he was given, or if he couldn’t give orders because he didn’t know how to speak fluently? He wanted to help this poor male, to teach the thing the essentials for living in a pack. But, his train of thought was interrupted by a rather boring, long speech. Pursing his lips, he looked at the brute who spoke for so long. He spoke of the cliche ‘traveling a long way to find a family, and a forever home’. Suppressing a cackle of resentment, Topaz forced himself into being indifferent. The next, and final wolf to speak before himself, was to say the least, boring. It was plain, but the facts were there. And in Topaz’s opinion, that’s what the pack needed to hear. Not some sob story to attempt and guilt them into opening their borders to whoever could muster up the most tragic backstory.
Soon, it was time for the multi-colored brute to speak. “Hello,” He dipped his head briefly, sending a charming smile towards the Alphess. “I’m Topaz, I can assure you I won’t waste your time.” He chuckled softly, his eyes free of judgement. “I’m primarily skilled in fighting, developing and adjusting skills to fit any wolf.” And, possibly unlike some wolves, he was not lying. He fondly thought back to his times as Paladin in his previous back, though it was short lived. It reminded him of Steller, his mentor, and father-figure. Then, his mind lingered around his sister, before hardening. The wall that he always held quickly built and secured once again. Settling his weight evenly among his muscled limbs, he nodded before looking away from the two pack wolves, and looked once again to the rogues, to listen as they each wolf spoke.

Wanda, in all honesty, had blacked out of reality. Consumed by rushing thoughts, and pressing worries. The words of Cosmo, and her companion Uzumati simply floated in one ear and out the other as her thoughts churned. Endless possibilities poured through her racing mind. What if she was accepted, but Cosmo wasn't? She wouldn't join. What if it was the other way around, would he do the same? She merely glanced at her ebony counterpart, adoration lingering in her distracted gaze. The way he was so carefree, and joyful, vs her own serious, wary nature. They were the perfect combination, like black and white.
"I am Alphess Eureka, of Somnus, I would like each of you to please state your name and purpose for bringing yourself to my borders." The sweet, yet firm voice tore the cream hued bitch from her constant rain of thoughts. How long had she been like that? Shuffling her paws, she nudged Cosmo with her shoulder, reminding him to speak after herself. She doubted that the larger male would forget to speak, but Wanda felt the need to ensure that his attention was truly on the Alphess.
"Hello," She offered, glancing around cautiously, as to make sure that she had interrupted nobody. "I'm Wanda, this is Cosmo." She smiled, and gestured to her counterpart in turn. "I'm primarily skilled in hunting, particularly tracking and herding elk or deer." She paused briefly, twitching one ear passively. "But, I'm always willing to try something new." dipping her head, the ivory she looked to Cosmo, curious as to what he would have to say of himself.

Cosmo looked towards all the wolves that were there. This was all so exciting! He knew that he wanted to get to know each and every one of these wolves, especially if they were going to be his packmates. He hoped that the pack wolves would be here soon. Bringing his eyes to glance towards Wanda, he gave her a goofy smile, trying to get her to smile too. He liked making others smile, and the male could hardly be serious enough at all, even when it mattered most. It was why Wanda did most of the formal, serious talk, while Cosmo opted to take over the playful side of things, and keep himself more towards being a goofy and wacky brown wolf. Of course, there is an adult side to him, but that adult side is almost non-existent around anyone new. Bringing his attention to two wolves that were approaching, a male and female, the male being rather large, and the female around average size, if not a little large. Cosmo was wiggling his tail rather quickly, knowing that he was going to be able to speak soon about he how he wanted to be accepted into the pack. As the female approached, she seemed to have a more dominant appearance than the male, which meant that she was the important one. She spoke with authority, but calmness lingered in her voice. Listening to Wanda speak, he then looked towards the female in front of him that was waiting for an answer from him and the others. "As Wanda said, I'm Cosmo! I am willing to do just about anything for a pack," He said, looking towards the female with glowing brown eyes that showed his sincerity. Alphess Eureka @wanda

Draco made sure that there was going to be nothing attacking Eureka. He took a more relaxed dominant stance than Eureka did, meaning that he was of a lower rank than her, even if he was much, much larger than her. His attention was already on the rogues before they had even appeared in sight. He could hear them all talking before him and Eureka finally approached. He would wordlessly listen to her as she asked them to state why they were there, and what really they could offer for the pack. He knew that some wolves could offer little to nothing, especially the ones that seemed a little on the more in need of help side. Draco wouldn't be the one to make decisions however. But with wolves like that, it would just bring Somnus more pain. Especially considering it seemed any disabled wolf in any way had died before in the pack. It just seemed like a terrible idea to him, especially if they were to grow close with these wolves, and lose them like they had lost Shadow before. Eureka would probably take into consideration that factor. She didn't want to lead wolves to their doom. But maybe she didn't see it like he did. He was looking at the negative, and not the positive. New wolves would mean new times for Somnus, and possibly new pups if there were to be mates that happened. He wondered if Eureka would ever find a mate. He would definitely have to approve of the male before he would even want Eureka to accept him as a mate. His sister did deserve the best treatment, and if she were going to pick a mate, he would have to make sure that the male had what it would take to be the best for his sister. Alphess Eureka @topaz

Ravus "I can't exist within my own head," There she was; the Alphess. Shades of mocha and cream seemed to be accompanied by a much larger brute of similar hues, her companion sending a bolt of intimidation through Ravus's bones. He couldn't find himself focusing on one thing in particular, his panicked optics flickered from wolf to wolf, anxiety building like a wave in his chest as the group fell silent. He found his breathing growing rough, his lungs burning with a fire of fear and self-doubt. Ravus forced himself to take the deepest breath he could muster, hoping to calm himself down as the Alphess asked for the reason of their presence. If he could just hold himself together long enough for his broken voice to ground out the basic sounds of his name she would know of his voice's condition, she would be the one who would guess his need for help and shelter. The real question was if she would be willing to grant him the things that he needed.
As the time for Ravus to step forward edged closer, he felt that wave of anxiety pushing against his chest once again, a ringing in his ears screamed for him not say anything and just hope that someone would be able to notice his weak, pathetic and mute form. But it was adrenaline that made him put one shaking paw in front of the other, his dark cranium lowered to the ground and his boney shoulder blades were left to ripple through the skin of his back. The broken male took another deep breath. "R-ray-" his voice was a horrid guttural sound, his vocal cords straining at the sudden pressure of his own damn name. "Vi-vis." The male felt a pang of embarrassment as the space in his head went numb. He gave a shake of his head as a silent apology to the Alphess, deciding that it would be better if she would pity him rather than think him to be a fool for even trying.
With a timid step, he fell back into line with the rest of the rogues. His head still ducked and his tail beginning to slide underneath his stomach, he could've sworn he heard his father's words echoing in his ears. 'Just as useless as your damned mother,'. Ravus had to bite his tongue, familiar coppery blood swelling in his mouth in an attempt to fight away the oncoming flashback that consumed his mind in an icy grip. He just had to keep it together until the Alphess's verdict of his fate. That's all he had to do.

| It was hard to make decisions; especially when each option that she mentally weighed held just as much importance as the other. Eureka wanted to take all of them, she really did. She wished that she was confident enough to take all thirteen of them back to the Commons and happily call them her family, but she had to take things slow. She couldn't risk bringing in so many wolves all at once and simply overwhelming herself with mouths to feed and resources to uphold. Eureka decided on this very simply, though she couldn't help letting her caramel vision glance towards Draco, wondering if he or Violet would have made the same safe decision that she had. But she couldn't afford to start questioning herself now, especially not here in front of so many new faces that all had the potential of spotting weakness and using them against her or her loved ones; though she doubted that most of these wolves would be morally-capable of such things.
Another issue swiftly replaced the last; who would she be taking back? Would Eureka choose to give a home to the weaker of the wolves who had gathered? Or would she welcome those who clearly knew how to handle themselves and be able to provide for her pack? Eureka's throat burned at the idea of turning away helpless wolves looking for shelter, it was a heartless and cruel thing to do in her opinion, yet the Alphess within her scolded her for being so weak. Accepting the stronger figures would be the smart thing to do. Eureka took a deep breath, letting her unbreakable gaze fall across each face that stood before her. Perhaps she could instead find a middle-ground? Especially since some who had appeared at her borders seemed inclined to stay quite. She nodded to herself as she came to a conclusion, taking a small step forward to bring central attention to herself.
Eureka let her attention fall first to the wolves she considered to be potential assets of strength and skill. "Trico, Topaz, Storm, Uzumati, Cosmo and Wanda, I hope that you will all prove to be great additions to Somnus, and I look forward to working alongside you." The Alphess stated quite simply, giving the group a nod of approval before moving on to the faces who came to seek shelter more than anything. There were some that stuck out to her, such as the seemingly mute male who tried to introduce himself as 'Rayvis', the pink-nosed male named Dorsey as well as the alabaster Wiggles. These three has struck her protective instincts quite hard. Even though wolves like them had come into the pack and passed within their territory, Eureka refused to let such gentle souls have to survive among rogues any longer. It would be selfish of her to send them away. "Wiggles, Dorsey Hiccup and Ravus, I will very happily supply each of you with a place to call home, and hopefully we will be able to find a suitable place for you among our ranks."
Eureka finally turned herself to look towards the two younger wolves who had brought themselves to her borders, the female seeming to already know Weayaya was a point of interest, however, Eureka's gaze caught momentarily on the male named Wynston. He seemed promising, stating that he was willing to learn and already knowing the basics of hunting. Perhaps he would do well under the right training. "Wynston, I expect that you could amount to greatness with a good amount of training, and I would be very happy to accept you into Somnus as well," she finished with a warm smile, looking to the wolves that she had accepted.
Finally, she turned to those who she had been forced to overlook. It was guilt that boiled in her stomach as she pushed words from her throat, and off of her tongue. "Unfortunately you all will not be following into Somnus today, however, I do welcome each of you to return at a different time and seek entrance then." Eureka stated as politely as she could with a sorry nod of her head to accompany before she turned away, leaving the small group to be on their way.
"The rest of you, please follow myself and my brother Draco into Somnus where you will be able to meet with your new pack-mates, and ranks will be discussed." Eureka spoke to her new wolves, giving each of them a welcoming smile, a glance given to Draco as she sought reassurance that she had made the right choices. But it was not long before realisation struck her. She twitched her tail as she remembered the one youngling that she had so stupidly forgotten to address during the internal chaos of choosing who would stay and who would leave. Promptly, she turned to face Weayaya and his friend, giving the duo a small grin. "Weayaya, why don't you and your friend stick close to me on the way back, you could even introduce us to each other." She said quite gently, giving the unknown female a smile. Hopefully this small raven female would prove to be a bright face among the pack just as Weayaya was. Eureka had no doubt that both pups she would be bringing back would be welcomed quite warmly, especially by Aelin, the pack's Sentinel and Guardian.
Eureka couldn't help wondering about the rest of the faces she would be bringing back. Of course, each of them had their own personality and opinions, so it would interesting to see who would befriend who. Perhaps even Eureka could make a new friend from this promising bunch, though the thought of anything more than a friend seemed to linger at the very back of her mind. It was something that she would have to think about sooner or later.

Since he was the first to speak, he had along wait for twelve other rogues to speak to the Alphess. The small alabaster from beside him shuddered slightly, possibly out of nerves, possibly just from keeping himself upright, before he spoke, "H-hello. Alphess. I'm W-wiggles. I can h-hunt a-and I c-can keep pups good c-company." The albino giant twisted his cranium around to the form that buried into his plush side and licked Wiggles' forehead. He could tell that it was a challenge for his brother to speak with everyone watching. Pride for the smaller wolf coursed through him as he placed his rump on the ground as to allow Wiggles to lean into him easier. "Me-me t-t-t-too! Suh-suh-sorry. I me-meant tha-that-that I-I ca-ca-n hun-t-t too a-an-and I-I-I lu-like pu-pups. I guess I-muh-m per-per-peritty goo-ood at fight-fighting ah-ah-as well. O-oh and I-I-I'm Duh-orsey." another male piped up as soon as Wiggles had finished. He intrigued the albino giant, with his robotic stutter and pink nose; it was refreshing to see another pink nose in the world. "My name is Wynston. I'm bad with words but I can hunt okay and I like learning," one of the smaller forms at the borders piped up. Uzu smiled at the young male and gave him a nod with his large cranium. It was good to encourage all of the other wolves, no matter their business. "Hello. I am Trico. I traveled here searching for an opportunity to open up and put my skills to better use. I despise violence, but I will protect my family with my life, and I can take on almost any threat. I'm not a very fast runner, but I can take down large kills fairly easily. If you would have me, I promise I would be nothing less but of use to your pack," one of the other giants at the borders spoke. They seemed to have a lot in common. Uzumati hoped that perhaps they would be able to converse, just based off introductions to the Alphess, they seemed to have a lot in common. "My name is Storm and I have no use for extra words, just the facts. I'm good for fighting and hunting." this male seemed to be more stiff, more professional than the others that had spoken. “ Hello. I’m Topaz, I can assure you I won’t waste your time. I’m primarily skilled in fighting, developing and adjusting skills to fit any wolf,” This male seemed to have the same attitude as the silver one. At last, his two other companions were able to pipe up. "I'm Wanda, this is Cosmo. I'm primarily skilled in hunting, particularly tracking and herding elk or deer. But, I'm always willing to try something new."Wanda spoke first. Then came Cosmo, "As Wanda said, I'm Cosmo! I am willing to do just about anything for a pack." He gave a smile to his friends, his pink and plum eyes gleaming with excitement. It seemed that almost all of the rogues had spoken, bar a few. "Ray...vis," came the final name. Uzu hadn't noticed the young male when he had first arrived, but as he stepped back, he just seemed to shrink into himself. A pang of pity struck through his heart. The pearly brute wanted to comfort the young wolf, to see what was wrong and to see if he could help him, but there was a Wiggles on his side, and the Alphess had just stepped forwards. "Trico, Topaz, Storm, Uzumati, Cosmo and Wanda, I hope that you will all prove to be great additions to Somnus, and I look forward to working alongside you." her voice began, floating over the thirteen faces that awaited her words. Joy rippled through every inch of his albino form. At last, he had a family! Not by blood, but by pack, and that was good enough for him. However, in the pause between her words, a harsh realization struck. She hadn't spoken Wiggles' name, nor the name of the shrinking wolf. He would have to decline if she didn't speak his name. "Wiggles, Dorsey Hiccup and Ravus, I will very happily supply each of you with a place to call home, and hopefully we will be able to find a suitable place for you among our ranks." A large sigh released from the beast, his side noticeably heaving underneath Wiggles' form. His slightly dirty tail waved behind his seated form, a large grin plastered across his face. He made it in. His one condition was fulfilled. He was happy. "Wynston, I expect that you could amount to greatness with a good amount of training, and I would be very happy to accept you into Somnus as well. Unfortunately you all will not be following into Somnus today, however, I do welcome each of you to return at a different time and seek entrance then."The rest of you, please follow myself and my brother Draco into Somnus where you will be able to meet with your new pack-mates, and ranks will be discussed." The Alphess rounded off. Ah, so that was who the other wolf behind her was. That was good to know, another name in the pack of he didn't know how many wolves. "Weayaya, why don't you and your friend stick close to me on the way back, you could even introduce us to each other," The Alphess spoke to the tangerine pup that had practically jumped the other inky pup at the borders. That added a third to his list. He was trying to learn all of the names of the rogues he had interacted with first, as well as the wolves already living in Somnus. While his mind was on names, there was one wolf that had only spoken his name. "Wiggles, we got in! We should go and meet our new packmates! How about Ravus?" the albino giant suggested to his companion, standing up in the process. Whether Wiggles wanted him to or not, Uzumati began slowly moving towards Ravus, whether that meant falling back or moving ahead, he was going to accompany the obviously damaged wolf on their group walk to the common grounds. Few others spoke after him. The time had come for the Somnus wolves to make their decisions. The pretty little she-wolf appeared considerate, listening equally to them all.Was it wrong of him to have little doubts of acceptance within this pack? Did that make him arrogant, though he didn't overly express a sense of self worth? Trico felt guilty of the idea, but in trust he wasn't worrying. He was overall calm, orange hues flicking around the crowd with thought as if he were considering who would be accepted himself. Then again, he was never one to be incredibly hospitable towards strangers. Trico was used to being alone, using his valuable skills for only himself. In the rare occasion that he met another rogue and offered assistance, the brute naturally felt that he was the leader. The protector. As if the whole world were balancing on his shoulders, relying on him to succeed in everything he did. "Trico, Topaz, Storm, Uzumati, Cosmo and Wanda, I hope that you will all prove to be great additions to Somnus, and I look forward to working alongside you. "
The huge male suddenly snapped out of his thoughts at the sound of his name, thankful that he had merely been staring at the ground and not at someone. Regretful to admit it, he was not incredibly surprised that he had been accepted. He was probably just as excited as the others to finally be apart of something bigger, though his new thoughts were not of exploration or making friends, nor matchmaking. He was apart of a respectable pack now, and he had a duty. To serve under his alpha(s), protect his new family, help feed everyone. His mind worked so soldier-like it was crazy.
Immediately Trico dipped his head in thanks, letting his pretty orbs drift and weed through those that were also accepted. His new packmates. He wanted to gauge their feelings, of course mostly of which appeared happy and excited. Hopefully no one in Somnus expected him to be like that. After few others were accepted, the assumed alphess would dismiss those that wouldn't be finding homes today within Somnus. Her tone was so sweet and gentle, careful diction kind. While Trico listened, he couldn't help but think to himself what a wonderful mother she would make. With things sorted out, the she-wolf took her leave, the brute prompt to follow after her a respectful distance away. By nature, he opted to stay nearer to the front of the line, or rather where the front began behind the two superiors. The others would probably choose to navigate through the crowd to meet new wolves or stick with who they knew, in which case Trico was now susceptible to become a potential acquaintance to someone. Until that happened, if it ever did, though, the male was quite intent following the line leader and mapping out the territory as it flashed by his eyes. In the back of his mind, all he could do is hope that something good would come of his decision to join Somnus. There was no turning back now.
