E L
If I got rid of my DEMONS, I'd lose my angels. He didn't care at all for the sudden influx of small bodies whose overwhelming, numerous, questionable scents of feces permeated relentlessly through the common grounds. He had no interest in stopping by to see their faces, compare their genetic makeups with those of their parents, coo at their dull personalities. At this point, their characters were judged only on how willing they were to interact with others, how frequently they yapped and how much they ate. El was certain that if he were to entertain one look at them, he would learn all too much of what he didn't care to know about them. What future ranks they would attain, who would become the favorite, who would disperse once they were of age...
Yet each night, when he patrolled the commons where his sisters slept, he glimpsed into Eureka's den. He cared nothing for her abominable children, but he did have what he considered a vested interest in her well being. He looked often down into her chamber to see that she was sleeping softly, that she was managing the pain of her recovering body, that she was still there at all. Sometimes he would dare to drop a scented flower that would aid her rest, so long as he went undetected. But he was quick to remove himself from whatever preposterous impulse had compelled him to her over his sisters, and at once would return to the dens of the outcasts.
Thus, El slept during the day, when there was a large enough body of superiors to ensure the safety of his siblings. But this was an entirely new routine. It took him those four months to finally accept that his sisters were under the care of many now, not one. He still hovered over shoulders and stalked behind the trees when they did not seek his supervision, but at least, now, he could sleep during the day.
WHOA-HO-HO, CHECK OUT OUR LITTLE MISTRESS.
Die, demon.
She truly was beautiful. She was almost fully recovered, though her body was hardly sustained upon her frail limbs. But he had never seen her stand so tall, for he had met her after ruining the evil that disgraced her, and she had since been week in her form. Now, she looked like an alphess. Nothing was more compelling, and more curiosities were opening inside him. Curiosities that he pushed far, far away from himself, from his sisters, and from the demon nagging him to give her a nudge. Atrocious.
His eyes darted everywhere, rarely landing upon Eureka as she spoke. When he listened deeply, he processed in all directions. Each word occupied a new thought forming in his mind, each materializing somewhere new. One in a tree over there, and one here hidden in the ground. He must find it. Survey it. Lock it in, never to escape his memory. Thus, speaking to El, for whatever less-than-sane reason one would try conversation with a mute, was an utter horror. Thank goodness nobody talked to him.
A hunt, of course, in the afternoon, during his nap time. He considered himself to fall into the general category of "everybody," which meant he did not have a choice. He would have to leave both of his sisters behind in the care of nobody but useless children, for neither were capable of catching anything but small game, and El usually orchestrated the majority of their "solo" hunts.
El spent his time circling around his sisters, tearing his eyes away from Eureka's earthy frame as she left the commons. Until distance obscured her completely, he could not find the strength to do it.
EL HAS A CRU-HUSH. NA NA NA NA NA, NA.
Die.
In one sudden movement, El whipped his frame into an "O" as he violently pursued his tail, the origin of this particular, enraging remark. His jaw cranked up and down until they closed onto his fifth limb. He held himself down on the ground for a concerning, extended amount of time, hushing the brat. So extended, that both his jaw and his tail alike became numb so that he had forgotten they were intertwined. When he elected to remove himself from the ground, upon Eureka's untimely arrival, he was promptly fitted back to the ground where his flag was anchored.
An event not fully understood by the jazzy brute prompted him to remain close to Blue and Nevermore. El was no use in matters of childbirth. He wanted nothing to do with it. In fact, he was quite disturbed that yet another influx of puppies were to add to the stench, the cries and the crawls of the existing ones plaguing his sanity. He was not built for caring for children. That was Blue's specialty. He, not even his sisters, imagined himself ever having a litter of his own. Useless nightmares, only skilled at obstructing the security of his sisters. Such was a mate. Such was his unprecedented interest in the alphess.

Every new morning in Somnus was truly a blessing. None of them had judged him for his strange compulsions - instead just accepting him as he was and letting him progress as an Apprentice under Doc. With twelve puppies now in Somnus, the threat of an accident or maybe even a spring illness was always present, but so far every single pup was a healthy, happy, bundle of joy. Even better on this fine morning, the Alphess had come out of her den with her litter of three, looking much better than when he had first met her, and when she was about to give birth. With some sheen back in her coat, a pep (obviously tired from motherhood) in her step, it seemed that Cori would finally be able to meet the real Eureka today. Greeting his Alphess mutually with a dip of his head, the Apprentice listened carefully to today's agenda. A large hunt and answering the few calls from the borders would be a fine start to the spring! Clacking his rosy stone against his blunted teeth, Cori had quickly found a source of alder bark in Somnus territory many months ago in order to keep himself relatively pain free. With a hunt came risk, so the Apprentice quickly whisked off into Doc's den to make sure that they had enough cobwebs, marigold, and some new horsetail growing well along the river. Those were the go to herbs for any hunting injury. Some carefully picked raspberry was pushed into a crevice right at the front, the berries proving to be a delicious snack before he had plucked the leaves. With so many births in Somnus, it was always good to have a few more herbs around. Poking his head out of the den, the piebald Apprentice caught sight of the Alphess returning, an obviously swollen frame pressed up against her side. Good thing he had picked some raspberry, it seemed that this she-wolf would need it. Seeing Doc swing into action towards the she-wolf in labour, Eureka called to the pair of inactive Apprentices that there was a casualty at the borders as well before mentioning the presence of a cougar to the General. Instinctively putting his tail out for Nevermore to guide herself with, the Apprentice darted back into Doc's den after he had gotten any herbs he needed to help the she-wolf and scanned the nooks and crannies for what he thought would be useful. The small leaves of burnet stood out to him first. He didn't know if the injured wolf at the borders would be staying in Somnus, so making sure their wounds would heal quickly was a must. The last store of some withered goldenrod would do good being used up to make a poultice. Naturally, cobwebs were the next option. "Could you take these ones, and any others you think of, Nev?" Cori spoke to his fellow apprentice, leading her to the pile of burnet while he scooped a clump of cobwebs onto his muzzle as not to contaminate them with the goldenrod blooms. Before he scooped up the herbs, he let his stone fall into a safe corner of the den in order to not subconsciously grind the herbs up before he got to the borders. Leading the pair of them out in the same direction that Eureka had come from, ready to put his skills to use at the borders. -Exit to Somnus Border Outskirts- Apprentice Nevermore Salutary Murdoch @lakaiya Alphess Eureka General Ocean

Salutary Murdoch of Somnus
T he coming of spring brought with it a dose of melancholy for Murdoch. He was growing older and his hip was proving to bother him more and more with each season. Each morning he would have to do some basic stretches before being able to walk, without those stretches his joints would prove to be too stiff. Not to mention more gray was coming in through his coat, which made him insecure. Not to mention the influx of pups was beginning to have him feeling out of place in Somnus. So far, Murdoch was not a fan of spring time. He decided to relax a little this morning, most of the herb gathering had been done and they were well stocked on the go-to herbs. His cranium watched as pups began to exit the dens, greet and mingle with the others. He stayed where he lay, orange eyes taking in the joy around him. Although, his heart hung a little heavy in his chest. With what had happened to Eureka brought up old emotions from his past. The emotions he felt; guilt, regret, vengeance, were all ones he was accustomed to feeling and he could easily control them. However, it has been a long time since he felt any of them and the aftermath left him reeling and a little drained. He could only watch Eureka overcome what his mother must of and that tore him up a little. Closing his eyes he took deep breaths. Once he counted backwards from fifteen did he open them and look around once again. Everything was where it should and everyone was doing as they needed to. With that he let some more feelings leave, keeping most of his thoughts drowned out by observing the actions of the pack. For a moment he was finally able to enjoy the serenity that seemed to surround and engulf the group. As Eureka came in he did not rise at first until he spotted a new face next to her, swollen and seeming to limp along. Pregnant she-wolf, in labor, he thought and that was when he rose to meet them. A stranger would not have a den available for birthing, his would have to do. "Follow me, I'm Murdoch, Salutary of Somnus," he introduced himself before offering his shoulder to help her move to his den. Corvidae and Nevermore had their own tasks to do so he was left to help birth these pups on his own. How nerve-racking, he thought with an inward chuckle. Even after two births was he still not accustomed to all that went into this. Still, he would make do as he always had. "Can I have your name please?" he asked as he checked the vital signs he could. He began to grab what he needed off to the side, "I will be right back, I just want you to focus on breathing," he instructed in a kind tone. He darted outside and didn't go far, he grabbed a decent stick and brought it back inside. "A stick to help bite down on through the contractions and pain," he said, laying the limb closest to her before going back to keeping track of her. So far, nothing seemed out of the ordinary and looked to be progressing okay. Fade To BlackThe birthing process went smoothly for the Miss Lakaiya. She was a wonderful trooper through such a painful process and Murdoch commended her on that. She gave birth to three beautiful, healthy pups. He wondered if he should have someone make her a den or would she be staying that long? He wouldn't mind giving up his den temporarily, the nights were decent enough to sleep out in the open. At least, most of the time. "Please let me know if you need anything, I'll be just outside so you can rest in peace," he commented to her with a gentle smile. Laying back down once more, he hoped Corvidae and Nevermore were doing okay, he wished he could oversee what they were doing so he could better help teach them. But he had confidence in their abilities regardless and he was sure they would do just fine.

Nothing beat the changing of seasons, regardless of what they were moving into. A bonus was that spring happened to be Vespen's favorite. She enjoyed watched flowers bloom and the scents of fresh earth dethawed from the cold winter. This morning she was basking in a warm patch of sun, enjoying feeling the heat soak into her thinning fur. How spring just made her feel alive and youthful, even if she was still young. Chuckling to herself at an errant thought she rolled onto her stomach, checking out the new puppy faces.
She stayed out of the way, she would only approach the pups if they approached her. Too many new faces might overwhelm them and even though she was dying to play a little with them she remained firm in her position. Until she heard the mentions of a hunt. While she was still just an omega, she enjoyed partaking in hunts and other works. Rising to her long legs she trotted over to Jolon with a happy bark in greeting.
"Good Morning!" she piped up, rose colored eyes shinning in excitement. "I'm ready to be of service Hunting Superior!" she declared with a laugh, looking to him for instructions to move out.

Spring was the time for wooing, romance, and pup making. Downside to it being spring, most of the females have already been taken, or claimed by possessive brothers. Then again, looking at the misfortune triplets, he wouldn't blame him. Rolling his neck side to side he watched the outside world from his den, audible sighs escaping his lips every now and again. He was quite honestly bored.
Even with his new rank, although he still quite didn't know how he pulled off achieving a superior rank, he still didn't quite find the fun in life the last few weeks. With all these new pups, he had to be careful or he might be a bad influence, or worse, somehow 'injure' a pup. Although, he would never do such a thing but still, he would respect whatever wishes any of them asked of him. He might be an ass, but he respected boundaries - at least, for the most part.
"Jolon, organize a hunt for the afternoon. I want everybody but the guardians, and anybody willing to watch over the young, to participate! I will be at the borders until then. Perhaps I can get a few new faces to help us catch our meal," the voice of his Alphess mentioning a hunt finally pulled himself half-way out of the den. He watched her leave with a semi-critical eye, although he was merely checking out her shape and form. How much a few months proved to do the she-wolf good, already she seemed to be more whole than she was when he first met her.
Rolling his shoulders he finally drug himself out of his den. Eyes rolling over to see his sister, Azaelia. He still had yet to meet his nieces and newphew, although today looked to be the day to do just that. Looking to Jolon, he already seemed to have a few volunteers at the ready. Pausing for a moment, he approached Azaelia with a gentle smile.
"Do you mind if I watch the pups with you? I think its 'bout time I get to know the little munchkins," he joked, eyes roaming to the three little ones that had stepped out of her den. His own tail wagged behind him at the thought of possible pranks he could get them to do with him.

General Red
The last several months had been tough on Red in more ways than one. First she had to get used to groups, which is still proving difficult. Secondly, she was constantly nervous around the large increase of pups. Finally, with the seasons changed she had been frequenting the borders and rendezvous site as much as possible trying to, in hopes, of finding her brother.
The first issue was not something she anticipated because Red had been around a group for the last year of her life. However, a pack structured group proved to be something else entirely for her to learn. Red was slightly more anti-social and introverted than the rest of the group. At first she thought many didn't like her, but realized that if she didn't have an open body language than the others wouldn't either. So her first task was trying to appear more friendly and kind-hearted so that her lack of social skills wasn't looked down on or taken the wrong way.
The second issue was much more of a personal mindset that Red was working to overcome. This was her first time witnessing motherhood from an outsiders perspective. Each female seemed to be so happy, or at least appeared to be. Red hadn't seen Eureka in a while but let her have her space, they will have opportunities to become closer friends eventually. But still, even today her appearance seemed to be more joyful than several months ago. More like the she-wolf I first met, Red thought with a small sincere smile. Still though, Red believed that to choose motherhood you were choosing to become dependent and have others become dependent upon you. Still as an aging adult, she couldn't bring herself to fully understand this.
Another reason pups made Red nervous was that they were so susceptible to illness and injury. How fragile and small they were. How ugly they were at first. All these things made Red wonder what mother's saw in the little balls of fluff. Love was the typical answer, and one that Red would respect. But that wont be enough for Red.
The final problem was her attempts to find her brother. At first she tried to frequent the areas where he might be as much as possible but now she checked every few weeks. With each passing visit she accepted the fate that she would never see him again. Which she silently dealt with on her own.
But today she would be giving herself goals to achieve. She would try to make a new friend among the many faces that walked around Somnus, she would find out something new she did not know, and she would learn to let go. Nodding her head she moved into the commons from her den. Listening intently to those around her, she gave Eureka a nod of her head. Her attention moved to Jolon and approached him from his side.
"Of course I'll be joining," she spoke, her deeper tone holding a friendly note. Even though she was awkward in groups she excelled in group hunts. Those skills her mother and father taught her, as well as the time with the rogue groups proving advantageous for pack hunts. However, her mind shifted somewhere else as Eureka rejoined in the commons a labored she-wolf in tow and the comment about a cougar.
"Shall I accompany you?" Red asked, approach Ocean's side. He was the male counterpart to her rank and she looked to him constantly to see how to best be a part of the pack. Whether or not he liked her she did not know, but she hoped he felt the same affinity she did towards him. Red admired him and looked to him as a mentor in her rank. But eventually she'll need to step into her own.

g e n e r a l • o c e a n a reckless wolf with a selfless interior
Ocean had become more active around the territory than he ever had been since the war. He was more inclined to venture the surroundings and take in what was left of his remaining home, which was quickly transforming. Of all of the Somnus wolves, of all of the originals, he was the most resistant to change and the most hesitant to accept the reality of what had happened. In fact, the better part of the four months were spent in denial. If he were to truly estimate the detriment of the events in question, he would be far from the territory now, and that bastard would be dead. But even if Ocean were to take in the circumstance in its entirety and forge the temptation to track that monster down, he would be met with the coercing duties of fatherhood that he now openly faced. He had done enough harm abandoning Somnus before, leading to the death of a somebody he loved. He could not do the same to his children. Still, as Ocean lay tight against his mate and squirming pups with a promising ray of light waking his thoughts, he knew that he would someday face this abomination, and Ocean would see him dead."Hi daddy," a small voice chimed, hardly audible from his state of droning thought, but strong enough to wake him from it. His chin lifted from his paws to see little Zelda putting paws to his nose. She certainly wasn't shy about getting attention. "Wake up. I'm hungry." And she certainly wasn't shy about getting what she wanted. Before she gave Ocean time to respond, she was already making her way out of the den. My god, I love you.
Midna was resistant to follow her siblings. Azaelia offered what she could to the isolated pup, but Ocean knew better that Midna wasn't prompted by sentiments no matter how true they were. Ocean chimed in, facing away from Midna as he exited."And I don't really feel like staying behind to watch you stare at shit. Come on." he said in an unforgivingly disenchanted tone, but he was well more than enamored by Midna's snarky replies, and he instigated them often as much as he liked to blatantly disregard her spectacular show of self-isolation.Eureka was out. God, Ocean often thought she was dead, but the Somnus common grounds reeked of shit, not death. A happy alternative for Ocean. He looked to his mate when a hunt was mentioned. He knew she would be participating, because she needed it. But so did Ocean. And perhaps the pups needed to be separated from their parents so that they did not become dependent, and they certainly needed to be fed. It looks like they would experience independence for the first time today, only in the care of complete strangers. Midna was going to love that, Ocean thought amusedly. "You ready to work off your daddy fat?""I'm big-boned, thank you," he replied in absurdly high defense, turning his head away in denial until she was gone. But soon his head arched in a one-eighty motion, where his hind slumped, to thoroughly analyze the grotesquely problematic dimensions of his body. Daddy fat... He stayed there in question for the duration of Azaelia's conversation with Violet and Aelin. He was almost too distracted to notice Red approach him, almost at the same time that Eureka and Merida returned with a plump-looking she-wolf. More? Fantastic."Shall I accompany you?" Red inquired. Ocean, distracted from the event unfolding, did not immediately make eye contact with her. "Do. Frankly, I don't want to be involved in... whatever the hell is happening." He looked to her as his curiosity faded. Ocean had been so invested in raising his children that he had never gotten to know his counterpart. He wasn't accustomed to the idea of a female general, but over the years he had gotten used to the strong female leadership representing Somnus. It was against everything he was raised to believe, but everybody he had known who had influenced him the most were the very kind that his father taught him to oppose--River, Shadow, Azaelia, Francesca, Violet, Eureka...He dropped the look. He felt only superior to Red by pack seniority, but would use this to guide her, not to belittle her."Have you found a lead?" Ocean asked only as considerately as he knew how. In the few times he'd taken off for himself, hunting, wandering, laying somewhere other than the sweaty confinement that was his family den, he noticed Red's ventures out of the territory. He had no doubt that she was searching for her brother, and he emphasized. He truly, truly did.
Regardless of Red's response, Ocean added, "It may be a while before I'm ready to leave the pups for an extended period of time, but when that time comes, I would like to help you find your brother."Before the conversation could continue, he was informed of a cougar at the borders that he had to take care of. Damn. He wasn't really in the mood to play with cats right now, but this wouldn't be such a bad time to thoroughly assess Red's skills and eradicate any lingering stigmas he felt guilty of."Well, that's our cue," he huffed in disappointment. He was hoping today would be relaxing, although it had been some time since he'd dug his claws into something. Perhaps it'd be fun. "Join me, will you?"--Exit to fight a meow meow--

The trip to the commons was slightly calmer than the borders, the chaos that they came from quickly faded as they moved into the territory. The Alphess was named Eureka. Due to the red hot pain that had rushed over her, she had not been able to catch up before, but she was able to catch it now, and they talked the entire way to the commons, keeping Lakaiya’s mind from the fact that she was still having contractions. They had to stop every now and then so she could ride them out, but they were able to make it to the common area before she finally just wanted to collapse from the amount of effort and pain she was currently enduring. But she needed to make it just a bit further. Looking upon the faces of those that were in the commons, she knew that she was the center of attention, seeing as she was currently keeping herself from just falling right then and there. But a face pulled itselfs from the crowd, the pain forgotten for just a moment as bronze eyes found the amber of Jolon’s. She was astounded to see that of all places, he was here. That he would be here for the birth of their pups. However, this was no time to rejoice. She needed a safe place for her puppies to be born, their puppies to be born. An older male brought himself to her side, introducing himself as Murdoch, the Salutary of the pack, and she gave a small, weak smile towards him as she leaned against him, letting herself be brought to a den that the herbal smell radiated from. She was finally able to lay down, and more contractions were coming, meaning that it was time finally. She was able to do what she needed to do now, without fear of a rogue finding her, or doing this alone. Murdoch was there to help her, and she knew that Jolon would come visit her once she was done, especially since they needed to talk about the pups that were on their way. Biting down on the stick that Murdoch brought, she let the male give her anything and everything he knew that would help her -Face to Black- Lakaiya let out a small breath, the pain was subsiding with the herbs that Murdoch had given her and she looked towards the three little bundles of fur that were at her side now, nursing from her belly and crying out ever so often. She let out a small sigh, resting her head against the ground. Murdoch laid down, saying that if she needed anything to let him know. Bronze eyes looked towards him with a nervous, and quite anxious gaze. “Can you… Ask Jolon to come inside?” She asked, knowing that if Jolon wasn’t already waiting outside, he would want to at least come see her, or she hoped. She could only guess that he knew these little ones were his, and so he would want to meet his children, and they had some talking and catching up to do. Uriel's vocalisations were a comforting thing to listen to as he lay by his mother's side, his auricles fixated on the rhythmic beat of her steady heart as his sister's talking of her dreams drifted through his numb head. A small and effortless grunt was given to let Uriel know that he was listening despite the complete lack of interest that was ever really conveyed on his face, though he would admit the happenings of the outside world were almost enough to catch his interest. Unblinking eyes twitched as he watched one of their cousins barrel into his brother, teeth flashing momentarily as a fierce impulse crashed through his body, screaming for him to wreck the whelp that had touched his sibling. But these instincts were quickly squashed by the soothing mumblings of his mother as she stirred, coaxing them from the dark warmth of their den. Crimson orbs shifted towards Uriel, as if seeking reassurance that they should indeed finally leave the comfort of their den. “We should go out there, brother, things are far too… stale in here.” As if reading his mind, approval was given from his sister, and Azrael didn't hesitate to lift himself onto his already broad paws with a grumbled, "okay."Azrael stuck close to the side of his sister as he carried himself out of the den, looking up at his mother and soaking in the details of her face illuminated in the golden light of the oncoming spring. She was a beautiful she-wolf, radiant despite the lingering exhaustion that seemed to always swim in her eyes. To some, it might have been strange to think that a she-wolf like her could ever produce something like Azrael. He was nothing like his mother. He didn't feel the compassion that she did, his gaze was dead and lacking the warmth that gave his mother such a bright appearance, his jet black fur was solid ebony against her gleaming gold. Every time she looked at him her expression was filled with a mother's understanding love, but something under lied all of that, he could always see that trickle of pain that twitched in the corner of every gentle smile and the steadiness forced into almost every soothing laugh. Azrael was completely unaware of what he or his siblings had done to cause such buried contempt from the she-wolf that was suppose to love them unconditionally. With his lack of empathy he shouldn't have cared about this, but something itched at the back of his head telling him that his mother was one of the few that he had latched himself onto, he was suppose to care about her wellbeing, he was suppose to make her proud and be the son that she wanted him to be. Maybe, subconsciously, that was why he had stopped being so rough in his fight for milk, why he had stopped clawing at his mother stomach and letting the blood mix with the milk against his tongue. Azrael didn't have the mental capacity to think all of this through and bring himself to any conclusion, he usually relied on mother and Uriel, sometimes even Cassiel to tell him what was correct and wrong. They did most of his thinking for him, which is why he now brought himself to sit with his siblings and shoot his disturbing gaze towards the bustling bundle of cousins that had gathered around the paws of that golden-eyed snowy female. Had one of them hurt his brother? Did his brother want them to pay? Would he want Azrael to make sure they knew of the horrible mistake they had quite literally stumbled into? The raven black pup licked at his lips, to anyone it would have looked as if he were eager to feast on the prospects of the hunt that was being discussed, but with his sights set on the tawny pup that had tumbled into his brother, his siblings would have known exactly what was buzzing through his dormant head.

"C'mon, rise and shine. It's a beautiful day, let's go and say good morning to your father," a familiar voice echoed through her mind, as Arya could feel herself slowly but surely waking up from her slumber. The small she-wolf could feel herself yawning, not bothering to open her eyes due to sheer laziness, more than incapability. Her mother's insistence was clear though, so the black pup had no choice but to fight sleep off and wake the hiffle up. Light entered her golden eyes, the sun had risen, proudly showing himself off in the blue sky above. Getting up to her paws, Arya felt the sunshine coating her ebony skin, warming her entire body in an extremely relaxing manner, almost sending her straight back into the dreamland. The image of her father gave her enough motivation to keep her eyes open, running to catch up with the rest of the siblings, just barely managing to stop herself once dad was close enough. "Morning, dad!" shouted the excited pup, wagging her tail at his image. Behind him though, Oberyn and Benjen were playing their little boy games, as per usual. Their soft fighting, full of laughs and soft blows amused Arya, making the little one chuckle at her sibling's playtime. Though, it all came to a sudden halt once Oberyn accidentally crashed against another wolf, another pup of their pack. The golden eyed she-wolf wasn't able to identify this mean-faced she-wolf, but she sure was afraid for her brother. What if she bites him??
The innocent mind of the two month old pup couldn't handle well confrontation, so the black pup decided it was better to hide behind her father, as her mother's legs were already occupied. Shakingly, she asked: "Dad, who is that?" Alpha Draco Sentinel Aelin @oberyn Pup Benjen Pup Cassiel

-Time Skip- The time that Nevermore had spent in the pack was very much so interesting, even if she couldn’t see everything. After she had gained a tour from the Salutary around the territory, she was able to meet her new packmates that were grieving over the loss of a wolf she had never met. Under better circumstances, she would have gotten to know them all a bit better at first, but time could only heal the wounds that came from the death of a loved one. Soon after Uzumati’s death, there were two litters; Ocean and Azaelia were the first, giving birth to three pups that were all individually different from what Corvidae had described to her. She had no idea what these colors he spouted were, but all the while, they interested her. She could place the colors he spoke of to the scent of each wolf, and those were what the colors were to her. Smells that were individually wrapped into one to depict what the seeing wolves spoke of. After the litter of three, came a large litter from Draco and Aelin, six pups to be exact. All were fairly big from what she could feel, and they all survived, which was quite the spectacle. Often times it was hard for a larger litter to survive unless there was the death of one or two of the smaller pups. But they had worked effortlessly to ensure that the litter remained six until they were weaned. Nevermore had displayed enough knowledge with herbs to become Murdoch’s apprentice, and she was now working alongside Corvidae, her partner, and the one that helped her navigate the still unfamiliar territory. After being appointed his apprentice, Nevermore was taken away from her siblings more than she had been her entire life, which was rather uncomfortable and new. Nevermore had always taken some time to herself, but never had she actually departed from her siblings to be in the company of another. She always made sure that she checked up on them. With each not being able to speak, she knew that she would never get a verbal verification that they were indeed happy with where they were, but how complacent they both seemed, and how they fit into their roles perfectly, made Nevermore think that this was the right pack for them. El was slowly falling in love with Eureka, and she was happy to hear that, even if her brother didn’t verbally communicate this, she could sense it. The way she could feel him tense when pressed against him and the Alphess was speaking, the way he shuffled, his movements in his entire being screamed that he was in love with her, he just had to admit it to himself. The Alphess had given birth to three pups soon after the other two litters were born, however, Nevermore was not present for this. Eureka had escaped from the commons, and headed off with her brother, where she gave birth, and came back, announcing that Draco was the Alpha, and hiding herself away in her den. As much as Nevermore had the urge to check up on her and make sure she was safe, she knew that she couldn’t barge into the Alphess’ space. She needed to give her time to heal and time to rest with her newborn pups. Today however, was different. It was time for the Alphess to come out of the den, and Nevermore’s ears perked as she heard the rustling coming from the she-wolf’s den. She hadn’t built herself a den, mostly because she had no idea where she would be digging, nor did she have the ability to see what she was doing, and the fear of a den collapsing in on her was too terrifying for her to try. So she slept outside of Murdoch’s den. Flicking her ears as the Alphess spoke, she listened to the little pawsteps that echoed throughout the clearing, signalling that all the pups were out and about. And with the shuffling and sudden thundering pawsteps, she presumed that Draco had followed Eureka to the borders, where the she-wolf disappeared to in order to greet more rogues. She brought herself to her feet, shuffling about as she waited patiently for something to do. She wouldn’t be able to join in on the hunt, but maybe Murdoch has something planned for them. She hoped so. Nevermore was silent for once, not having anyone to chat up, and not feeling like going over to the pups to introduce herself. They would know who she was in the future, but she would let them play and interact for now, only offering help if one was to get scraped or bruised playing. As soon as she had decided to find her siblings for the morning, Eureka and Merida, from the scents that flew past her and towards where Murdoch was, had another she-wolf that smelled all too familiar. She was going to give birth. There was mention of an injured wolf at the borders, and with a familiar tail lingering near her, she attached herself to Corvidae’s side, and waited patiently for him to grab the herbs they needed. The smell of burnet and goldenrod floated over her nostrils, as well as cobwebs. He asked her if she could think of anything else, and so without Cori’s guidance, she plunged into the den that she was very familiar with. Finding the little seeds that she wanted, she took a couple and wrapped them in some cobweb, to ensure that they would not fall and be lost on the way there. She then brought herself back out to Corvidae and nodded. “Some poppy seeds always help, especially after battle,. The wolf will need a good nights sleep to really kick her wounds into healing as well,” She notes, then brought herself to grab what Corvidae had not, and followed him towards the borders. She wondered what exactly had happened, but they would soon find out. -Exit to Borders- Salutary Murdoch Apprentice Corvidae

Benjen rolled over catching a slight glimpse of the situation, he twitched quickly trotting next to his sister. "Arya what's happening?" He pestered his sister as she hid behind their father, she seemed frozen in time shaking slightly. His head tilted watching the greeting between his cousin and his sibling. He glanced up at his father now as well checking to see if he was worried at all. He couldn't make heads or tail of anything. He glanced back at Oberyn motioning for him to come over his tail wagging as his brother approached. "I don't know what's happening but things are tense" He nodded as he turned his attention back toward the center of it all. He was always curious about their cousins although they were supposed to all be friends there was a strange tension sometimes, he'd tried to ignore it but now it was starting to make sense. Perhaps their cousins didn't view them the same way, perhaps they were viewed as enemies. It made Benjen feel sad and frustrated, he didn't wanna make enemies so young. He stared off sitting softly his ears flattening out.

Sleepy eyes blinked heavily as he was jostled around his den, Zelda shifting and already demanding food and Midna nudging him enough to get his attention. The little pup twisted himself to his side which brushed against his raven colored sister, stretching awkward, long limbs till they shook and opened his mouth in a yawn so big, a small squeak emitted from his jaws. “Do go before she decides to come pester the both of us.” Midna urged, and a goofy grin found its way to links maw. “Aw, c’mon Midna, come join us!” He suggested, rolling back onto his soft belly to push himself to his paws and follow Zelda, though not before he affectionately grasped his dark sister’s ear between his teeth and tugged lightly. But as she yawned and looked out towards the commons, he shrugged before lopping off behind his silver sibling after a gentle shove from his mother’s muzzle. Golden eyes scanned the bustle of the clearing, his cousins running around, bumping into each other, the beta greeting his aunt and asking of her litter and finally, ears perked, he heard a hunt would begin. Excitement shivered through his little body as he imagined himself helping his pack. Who knew he would be able to help out so quickly, he may be young but honestly, bringing down a bear shouldn’t be too hard. With a confident hrrumph, the little he-wolf puffed out his chest, following in the enormous pawprints his father left in his wake, tripping over the dirt as the stride was just too long for him and so he resorted to leaping to each one, completely forgetting that he had followed Zelda out into the open.

Sentinel Aelin
Avoir elle est avoir les étoiles
The biggest and proudest grin Aelin had ever worn in her lifetime was glued to her lips with no sign of leaving as her pups made their way out of the den. She had only very recently begun letting them explore through the Commons, as they had grown strong enough to walk without stumbling every few steps, and their eyesight and hearing was nothing short of perfect. They hadn't even gotten the chance to meet all of their pack-mates yet, as most of them were busy out hunting or scouting these days, with the three mothers being out of action, it seemed that more paws were needed with the dirty work outside of the Commons. But this morning seemed to be different. Nobody was rushing around trying to get anything in particular done, everyone was taking their time as they woke up and greeted the day. It was a peaceful atmosphere, and Aelin knew that today was the day her little ones would really get to immerse themselves with the wolves they called their family.
Benjen and Oberyn were the first pups to make their way out of the den, and with an appropriate amount of enthusiasm, they had begun running around through the green grass that had made it's way back into the clearing as spring was beginning. Cersei, Daenerys and Arya followed closely, greeting their father warmly as Aelin had suggested. It was absolutely heartwarming to see the way their little girls looked up at their father with admiration and love gleaming behind their young eyes. It was almost enough to her cry. But she was distracted before any tears could flow, the sound of colliding bodies sending her shooting to her paws while golden eyes searched the clearing frantically, her mother's instincts screaming at her that it was one of her own boys that had caught themselves in a little scuffle. Sure enough, she spotted the little figure of Oberyn as he brushed himself off after accidentally running into one of his cousins as they emerged from their den. She was worried that her little boy might've hurt himself, but at the same time was incredibly excited to watch as Eureka exited her den with all of her pups in tow.
Aelin's gilded gaze came to settle on the two daughter's that had sat themselves around her paws, Daenerys' tiny little voice piping up to ask questions. “Are we going to meet our cousins and Aunt Eureka today? Do you know much about them?” A soft chuckle rolled from her chest as she bent down and lovingly nudged her nose behind the little white pup's ear. "Why don't you go over and say hello? I'm sure they're wondering about you as well." Aelin suggested, hoping that her litter would be able to befriend their cousins as a beginning to the next generation of Somnus leaders.
Before her pups could ask any more questions, the familiar face of a particular Beta made her appearance to finally meet the pups that she had been so keen to see. The Sentinel smiled as Violet stood beside her, those lavender eyes swooping over the heads of her pups. “Your pups are growing fast,” she said, a small comment that was enough to leave Aelin's pride swelling even bigger. “It wasn’t too long ago you were this small, running around the commons,” a cheeky smirk was thrown to her mate at this remark, her honeyed eyes turning dark as she teased, "it's hard to imagine someone as thick as you was once so small." She lovingly poked his muscle-lined shoulder with her damp nose, giggling as she tried not to imagine her mate being as well-built as he was now back when he was a pup, but it was strange to think that he could have ever been as small and scrawny as their own little pups—well, maybe not scrawny...some of them were a little overfed and slightly pudgy...
“Tell me, what are your names?” Violet began directing questions at the pups. She looked down at the pups that had gathered around, Oberyn and Benjen already carting dirt around through their fur thanks to the mischief they had already achieved so early in the morning, while tiny little Arya sat beneath the massive frame of her father, it was a nice contrast, and her other two daughters were sat at her paws. But someone was missing...didn't she have three sons? Aelin slowly looked back into the den, her brow furrowing as she realised that one of her pups had refused to greet the day yet. The mother took two steps back towards the den, poking her head in through the entrance to find her last son still cooped up in bed. "Jaime," she coaxed, "it's rude to sleep in when the pack is waiting to meet you. Even your cousins have finally come out today, come and introduce yourself, yes?" Aelin said, not about to take no for an answer. If he didn't make his way out of the den in the next few minutes, she would have to resort to perhaps literally kicking his ass out of bed, and that wasn't something she was particularly keen on doing to her sweet little boy.
The ivory she-wolf returned to her spot with her daughters, noticing that Draco had left the Commons for the morning, possibly to address the scent of rogues that was wafting in from the borders. But without her father's presence, Arya had been left sitting alone. Aelin brushed her tail against the little girl, coaxing her runt to come and sit with the rest of her sisters. "Look, Arya," she spoke, pointing her nose to the three pups that milled about Eureka's paws, "they're your cousins." She explained before pointing to the ivory coloured female that was looking over her pups. "And this is Violet. She's the Beta of Somnus. Introduce yourself, she's very nice, and I'm sure she'll absolutely adore you," she gave a small encouraging nudge to her oddball's shoulder, hoping that she would take after her father and be brave enough to introduce herself to all of these new wolves. She could imagine how overwhelming it must've been for the little ones with all of these new face suddenly appearing along with all of the new names being thrown at them for them to remember. But it was a task that they would not be facing alone, Aelin would be right behind them ready to step in and offer encouragement if they needed an extra boost.

[attr="class","background"] [attr="class","jolonimage"] [attr="class","title"]Hunting Superior Jolon [attr="class","pack"]Somnus [attr="class","text"]Jolon’s amber eyes had been watching the horizon, watching that golden streak of light as it emerged from the depths of the sky. He had been given a new rank, seeing as he was really the biggest provider of food in the pack as of right now it had only been natural for him to assume more of a leadership role in that aspect. However, only recently did it become official. He made his way over from his pleasant spot in the warmth of the rising sun, having already watched the sun rise that morning, to listen to Eureka as she began and as soon as she mentioned he was to lead a pack hunt Jolon’s amber eyes got a zoned out look to them as his mind began planning. After a few minutes he snapped out of it, he hadn’t been to the general hunting territory lately, choosing rather to hunt smaller game in more controlled areas rather than the vast expanses. So the place was decided, now to assign roles, make sure the other wolves were ready to go for the hunt. Jolon started with the Omega, Vespen, such a lovely name, and her excitement and smile made her the easiest to talk to. “Alright then Vespen, you’re going to be a part of the scouting party.” Jolon’s bright eyes flicked about as he searched for the white coat of Aelin, finally landing on her as she talked to Violet, he made his way over, “Hey, Aelin, the Paladin and the Guardians are staying here to watch the pups, if you would like to come along on the hunt I need someone to lead the scouting party. Violet it would also be appreciated if you would join us, we could use someone for the chase.” Jolon’s mind was bouncing from one thing to the other he barely stopped to wait for an answer from them before once again hurrying off, eyes now searching for Azaelia, he had a feeling that most of the parents would like to get out of camp and stretch their legs so they were the first that he seeked out to join, other than the omega anyway who had bouncily come to him. Ocean was making his way towards the borders, something about a cougar and a pregnant she-wolf, the rumours had been passing around camp like wildfire, so quick and loud even he had heard it through all his wild thoughts. Amber eyes finally landed on the she-wolf he was searching for and he stopped in front of Azaelia, beginning with a nod of respect, “I’m sure you would like to get out and stretch your legs we could really use some speed on the hunt with us if you’d-.” Jolon’s sentence stopped short, something was different, something was off, his nose gave a quick scent of the air but he couldn’t place the error. He shook his head trying to rid himself of the feeling as he continued, “Sorry about that, but we could use someone on the chase if you’d like to…” Jolon scented again, “If you’d like to join us...” The distracted male turned his head to try and get a better whiff, his nose was powerful, stronger than most knew, but sometimes he was a bit daft and things slipped by him, not noticeable things like predators, or prey, but things like the scent of other wolves he had once been very familiar with. Wolves like his family whom he had left, or the rogue group he had been a part of on his journey here to the pack, or the she-wolf he had met along the way and lost to a fire. As soon as her image flashed in his mind Jolon stiffened, that customary, good-natured smile that usually graced the friendly male’s face was gone replaced with sorrow at the thought of what he had lost, who he had lost. Jolon looked back to Azaelia as she answered him, before he nodded slowly, barely hearing her reply and the usually jovial male slipped away through the crowd, head lowered as his thoughts wandered from the hunt that would be upon them soon to Lakaiya. As he thought about her, the horrible way she must have died in the fire, how he couldn’t find even a scrap of fur that was her’s afterwards, the bumbling of the pack around him seemed to fade. What had brought his thoughts back to her, he hadn’t thought about her in days, but somehow he always returned to her, usually when he was hunting. Was that what had brought her back, planning this hunt? No, he had been fine just minutes ago, then wolves stopped moving, their attention on the alphess and a she-wolf, heavily pregnant, what rogue would ever risk having pups alone? Jolon picked his head up and moved in closer to get a better look and as his eyes met those that were bronze a shudder went down his spine, Lakaiya, she was here, she was alive...she was pregnant...hell she was giving birth. Jolon pushed through the crowd but before he could make it to her, she was in the midst of another contraction and Murdoch whisked her away to the healer’s den. The large, silver male was frozen, in shock, Lakaiya was here, but she was pregnant, how could that be possible, had she found someone else. Had she given up on him like he had given up on her, when he left her believing her to be dead, how cowardly was he, to leave the she-wolf he loved to fend for herself. He wanted to talk to her, he wished desperately to be with her, but the hurried voices from inside kept him from doing so. He took up position outside the healer’s den, mind not even considering the hunt anymore as he waited anxiously for Murdoch to emerge and tell him what was happening. Finally Murdoch’s head emerged from the den and told him he could come inside, and Jolon was quick to do so, squeezing his body in the entrance as his eyes adjusted to the dim light. There she was, three little bundles laying at her belly, the silver male was still in shock at the sight of her. He had never thought he would see her again, and especially not with pups at her belly. He slowly moved closer staring wide-eyed at the little things, he always loved pups, whether they were his or not he would never shun them, that was certain. Slowly his eyes climbed to her face, “Lakaiya…” It was the only word he could form, the she-wolf he had mourned now laid in front of him and the amber-eyed male was unable to speak, so instead he waited for her, uncertainty creeping on to his face. He wasn’t sure if she would be angry with him for leaving her out there, alone, and he certainly wouldn’t blame her if she was.
