Green eyes watched as her brothers began making their treks back toward her mother and father, she had so many siblings it was hard for her to keep track of them, let alone her parents; though they seemed to fair just fine. A big, beautiful white female with violet eyes made her presence known as she padded over to them, Cersei's eyes full of wonder and admiration for the Beta. Beta, that sounded important! She thought to herself, already finding herself having a new idol to look up to. "I'm Cersei!"she introduced herself excitedly to the Beta after she had asked for their names "You're a Beta? that sounds important!" the pup exclaimed, letting her naivety show, but it wasn't something she could help at such a young age, everything was so new and the world so big to the little alabaster girl. As her mother turned to address Jaime who was still curled up and asleep in the den, Cersei turned her head to watch her father take his leave, a strong urge taking root within her to follow him, but he walked so fast and her paws were so small and clumsy. The day would come when she could keep up with him and outrun him, she was sure of it but today was not that day. A small whine escaped from her chest and she looked up at her mother. "Where is he going?"she asked curiously, hoping he would be safe wherever he went.

she believed she could, so she did Forest green orbs trailed the Alpha's back as she followed obediently. Naturally, she began to feel more and more wary as she grew close to the common grounds; the smell of pack wolves and, more importantly, pups, reeked now. Perhaps this wasn't a bad thing, as the pack was obviously thriving, but to the shy lupine it was all overwhelming. Along with that, she was coming as a lone rogue. Or well, a rogue no more, but an outsider to the family of Somnus. What would they think of her? Soske merely hoped she wouldn't be harshly judged until after her hunting performance her new comrades.
Suddenly, the dense forest broke into a huge clearing, already bubbling with life. Pups bounced and raced playfully through the long and short grass while others were chatting or still waking up. Soske found herself halted at the outskirts, awestruck at the scene. The liveliness reminded her of home, but the atmosphere was soothing and harmonious, anything but like her old pack. In time, Soske would feel at immediate ease around here, but at the moment, she felt like a target and lowered her head bashfully. For now, she lingered near Draco until given further orders by him or really anyone else. She was at the bottom of the hierarchy now, so even a pup likely had more say than she did.

Daenerys watched all the commotion that unfolded in the commons as the pack came to life. Her violet eyes looked upon those around her, as two approached. One being a white she-wolf like her mother, the other being darker in color, and they both seemed interested in the two pups that were currently curled at Aelin’s paws. Cersei was immediate to answer, giving her name and saying that being Beta was important. Daenerys looked up with eyes filled with curiosity. What was it like to be a Beta of the pack? She wanted to know, but of course, the she-wolf would explain to them when they were able to understand these things. She looked to be very nice however, and Dany too a moment before answering. “My name is Daenerys but most of my siblings call me Dany,” She said. “I think it's easier to say,” She spoke before looking towards the others. Before she could ask the names of the two that were standing in front of her, Eureka returned with a she-wolf that was in pain, and she wondered what was going to happen to her. Why was she in pain? She was quickly taken to Murdoch’s den, and it seemed that the only other wolf to enter the commons that was new was the she-wolf with her father as they came back in. Approaching her dad, she peered from behind his leg up at the she-wolf. “Who are you?” She asked, being a little cautious. “Daddy brought you back, so that means you must be good,” She said, although not coming out from behind her father’s leg. | | The commons were now bustling with wolves, Azaelia and Ocean having come out with their brood, and Eureka finally making an appearance along with her pups. She was happy to see that the she-wolf was finally back to her old self, or at least getting there. She was headed for the borders, and before Violet could offer to come with, Draco was on his feet and going with her. Violet was in charge of the commons, so she kept a vigilant eye on each wolf, before turning her attention back to the pups at Aelin’s paws. Azaelia approached, giving her a nuzzle to the shoulder, which Violet happily returned. Azaelia was one of her closest friends, and she was glad to see the she-wolf finally out and about after birthing a litter of three. The bundles of joy that she could see coming out of the den were soon to follow as their mother beckoned for them to come forward, she was enjoying the new life that sprung Somnus into action.
Aelin spoke up, trying to coax her newest pup to enter to introduce herself, and calling to her son that was still asleep. “My, you and Draco have your paws full,” She chuckled. The little pups finally spoke up about their names, Cersei and Daenerys. Two beautiful names. “Such pretty names,” She spoke looking towards each of them. But her attention was once more taken from the pups to Eureka entering with a pregnant she-wolf by her side. Panic enveloped Violet for a second, wanting to spring into action. But it seemed that Murdoch was quickly there, whisking the she-wolf into his den. And when she returned her gaze to the pups sitting at Aelin’s feet, one was missing. Looking around, she saw that Draco had returned with a she-wolf and the little white ball of fur was over with her father. “Somnus hasn’t been this busy in ages,” She spoke to Azaelia. “It’s nice,” She breathed, sitting close to the she-wolf as she watched Ocean disappear to the borders for something having to do with a cougar. “It gives me hope that we’ve finally seen a light in the darkness,” The sentence was only a whisper, but she knew that Azaelia must have heard it.

| D R A C O A L P H A S O M N U SThe trip back to the commons was quiet, he didn’t speak much with the new she-wolf as they came back. Draco was not one to converse with strangers openly, even if the rest of the pack was. He had always struggled with that, and talking with wolves in general. As they reached the commons, it seemed like he would step on a pup or two before he could really make it to the center of the clearing. Twelve pups in total, six being his, were all about, minus Jaime who was soon to join he was sure. Somnus had never been this busy, and it made him happy that there were so many wolves bustling about. Murdoch was more than likely busy with the she-wolf from the borders that Eureka had brought back, Ocean and Red were setting out for the cougar at the borders, Azaelia and Violet were together, a relieved look on the Beta’s face. That’s what he had strived for. To make sure that everyone had no panic, there was no pain in his pack. Eureka had done it, and he had helped. They had finally achieved something that at one point no one thought would be achievable. Daenerys was quick to approach, hiding behind his leg as she questioned the new she-wolf. He was amused to say the least, and leaned down, picking her up by the scruff, beckoning with his tail for Soske to follow as he approached Violet and Azaelia, depositing his child in front of him. “Soske, this is Violet, the Beta of Somnus. And Azaelia, one of our most respected pack members and the previous Alphess of Somnus before Eureka,” He said. “The she-wolf over there is Aelin, my mate. And the little furballs collected here are a mix of my pups, Azaelia’s pups and Eureka’s pups. Feel free to set up a den wherever you’d like,” He spoke, awkwardly finishing his sentence before heading over to Aelin. Giving her a lick on the cheek, he looked around. “Speaking is hard,” He whined into her ear as he rested his head on hers.

Jaime roused from his sleep from when his family made their outing to the commons, however he had decided to turn back over and go back to sleep. Just five more minutes, mom. He swore he had said it out loud, but obviously not as he felt the cold nose of his mother nudge him back onto his belly. With a small whine, the little boy let out a massive yawn and smacked his lips as he sleepily peered outside with heavy lidded eyes. Cersei had found herself seated next to Dany, and a little jealousy flared in his little tummy as he marched, dutifully, out and plopped next to his sister. He had assumed she'd wait for him, but obviously not. Jaime's sour mood placed a slight scowl on his face, brows knitted together as he looked up into the face of the Beta. "And I'mJaime." He said matter of factly, before pressing himself against Cersei's side. Golden eyes watched as his father made his way over to the little gathering, introducing some she-wolf that he didn't really pay any mind to, only flicking an ear as Dany acknowledged her. He looked to his father as he rested his head on their mother's head before finding himself rising to his paws, walking over to the other male, and sat down in between his legs, his side pressed into his father's left leg as he watched the new comer. she believed she could, so she did While the lupine was stuck in a trance, staring at the lively commons, she hadn't even noticed that one of the pups came to approach her. There were so many pups around, she wasn't sure her peripherals would have caught her tiny figure anyways. A little brown she-pup hid behind Draco's legs, most likely one of his own by how comfortable she was. Most noticeably were her bright pink orbs, shining curiously at Soske. She was adorable, and her innocence made her miss being young. "Who are you?" she asked warily. Soske smiled. "Well aren't you the cutest! My name is Soske," she replied cheerfully, lowering her cranium to present hospitality. As her orbs glanced towards Draco, though, her smile faded slightly and she took a hesitant step back. The alpha's young were probably the most precious things to him, so she didn't want to invade on that. Not as a stranger, at least.
Thankfully, Draco merely picked up his daughter, signalling for her to follow once more. Soske trotted off, almost running into the alpha's tail as she surveyed the area once more. Before her were two pretty she-wolves, one a bit older but gracious and admirable. In fact, she seemed about the same age as Soske, yet she had been an alpha as Draco explained. That idea seemed crazy, as if she could ever manage a whole pack within her youth. The other was a ivory lupine by the name of Violet, another superior that Soske would respect. Her excitement began to bubble as Draco continued, introducing the scattered pups as spawns of several different litters. Along with that, another she-wolf across the commons was named Aelin, his mate. Soske found that interesting as well, that somehow two alphas ruled with completely separate lives. She was always used to the alpha's being a pair, but the diversity was inspiring. "Feel free to set up a den wherever you'd like," and with that final statement, Draco disbanded to be with his mate. Soske swallowed hard as she looked to the two females she was left with, social anxiety creeping at her fur once more. She couldn't talk to these two now! Nor did she want to interrupt whatever they had been previously doing. Soske took a step back, dipping her head awkwardly at the two before scurrying off to an empty space.
With her ears back nervously, the lupine self consciously looked around at the wolves nearby before sniffing for a suitable new home. Eventually, she found herself between two small pine trees, scuffling silently at the dirt before finally laying down.

As the snow melted away, so did the guards her siblings had so carefully constructed over the years. Nevermore had found place in another trio, and thrives under their care - Corvidae could match her energy and desire for conversation at any time, and Murdoch was taking the potential that was already there and crafting it into something truly wonderful. That wasn’t to say that she had separated herself completely, of course - Blue was mature enough to know that making room in your heart for someone new didn’t mean discarding what was already there. Even so, it was bittersweet to watch her grow just that little bit more independent by the day. She was growing so much amongst this band of wolves. Speaking of growth, even El himself, immovable mountain that he was, had found room in his heart for another. He still hovered, still remained the sister’s faithful protector, but he was drawn to their alphess like a moth to a particularly beautiful flame. He was fighting a losing battle against his own desires, she knew, and looked towards his future with a sort of pensive eagerness. Her brother had worked all their lives to keep them safe, and a moment of true relaxation was rare for the brute. The ginger deserved the happiness that Eureka could bring. Blue only hoped that the earthy alphess returned his sentiments, that they could someday soon meet in the middle. At times, Blue felt like a chain, tethering him to her and preventing him from pursuing his own interests. What would El do with his days, if he weren’t bound to them so? She didn’t know. Blue herself had begun to grow fond of these Somnus wolves, so earnest in their intentions and affections. It was easy to...trust them, after two months in their care. The first had been spent watching them like a hawk, gaze forever roaming as she tried to keep track of everything and everyone. No doubt this had been off-putting to some, her silence broken only by the noises she could hardly help. Even now she barely knew everyone’s names - learning new names took a patient game of back and forth, a lot of the time, until she got it right. She knew a few, for certain, but a couple remained a mystery to her. The white pelted lupess had been tucked away for sake of her pregnancy, and just so her identity remained secret to her. Her mate however was much more present - Draco. Azaelia and Oshin (the closest interpretation she could grasp), Red and Jolon. Wiggles, of course, her male counterpart in rank. Others, she would have to learn. Now that the excitement had finally died down a bit, perhaps she would have time. And oh, had there been excitement! An abundance of new life had been brought to the pack, alphess’ former and current giving birth. There was the white female as well, of course. Seeing her children in particular for the first time had been an utter shock; six babes! With no auditory clues to give her hint of their numbers when within their den, it had been dizzying to see so many emerge from the confines of their birthing den. So many to look after! Her heart thrummed with a soft sort of joy; she loved pups, loved having others to take care of. With eyes that missed nothing and a maternal disposition, Guardian was the role that suited her best. As such, it looked like she would be exercising it - and soon. Eureka made an announcement of sorts, words lost on Blue’s deaf ears, and before long the entirety of the pack is bustling. Nevermore and Corvidae depart, Eureka leaves with what Blue hopes is a hunting party following soon behind her. Someone within the confines of Murdoch’s den, the new lupess had given birth to babes of her own. And El seems to go into a brief manic frenzy as he chases his tail with an aggression that is unfortunately familiar. His mind must be plaguing him once more. As he drifts closer to her side, she sends him a questioning glance, a hum buzzing in her throat. Would he not be joining the party of lupines? Perhaps so, perhaps not. Either way she leaves his flank with a light brush of her tail, approaching Eureka’s trio of babes at her command. Wiggles was surely close behind. While Blue had a talent for calming scuffles and deescalating conflicts, she relied on Wiggles largely for anything involving verbal commands. Of course, she would occasionally bare her teeth to show displeasure with particularly rowdy behavior, but true reprimands was a skill not granted to her. She could only read the occasional word from the babes, after all. Sending a genteel smile down at the three, she would settle and leave them to their own devices, eyes carefully trained upon them. She half wished she could offer comfort to the other new lupess among them, settled in the dirt on her own. However, with no way to spark conversation apart from an occasionally embarrassing game of charades - and no guarantee she would catch any response - she decides against it. She doubted her company would be much help as of now. Midna Pup Link Pup Zelda Alphess Eureka El Apprentice Nevermore @wiggles Soske

- the constant happiness is curiosity -
The journey to the commons with a contracting mother between herself and Merida, who had been the helpful rogue of the pack, brought flashbacks of Eureka's own labor. Although the day was warmer than any day prior to the equinox, she still felt the cold surge of death reaching over her, doing its best to grasp her. But Lakaiya, whose name she had learned along their short haul from the borders, remained composed the entire time, save the natural rattles of pain that came with labor. Already, the alphess was impressed with her.
She offered supportive words to her as they moved her aching body from one place to another, words she knew would have soothed her during her contractions if she'd given her family the opportunity to help her. She still regretted what she had done to herself by shutting them out for so long, but she wouldn't make the same mistake with this mother.
The alphess and the acting scout planted Lakaiya with Murdoch, who had confidently assisted with the deliveries of the other pack mothers. Eureka had no doubt that he would give the rogue the best possible service she could ask for. Rogue. Eureka had planned to help the rogue back to health until she was able to travel back to the unclaimed territories with her pups, perhaps return to her mate, start a pack of her own. She imagined how many pups were ready in her tummy, and how little Somnus could take of any further additions. In her heart, she knew the right thing to do was to offer her a place among the Somnus ranks, but as an alphess, she urged herself against such an irrational decision. Regardless, she stayed by her side through her labor, keeping her muzzle at the girl's ear as she spoke encouragingly to her the entire time.
“Can you… ask Jolon to come inside," Lakaiya asked the salutary. The alphess' ears perked. She had been revolving around Lakaiya's comfort and safety that she had not managed a glance at her packmates to realize that the two had connected. Eureka glanced at her, then at Jolon as he entered, and was quick to leave them alone.
The reality that was unfolding inside the birthing den gave Eureka exactly what she was wishing for: a practical reason to fallow her heart. According the laws spontaneously created in her head, Lakaiya was already Somnus family, as Jolon had already made his home here. She could not send her away.
Her racing heart settled to a steady thump, and she had gathered her thoughts well enough to check back in with her surroundings. The pups were fine, all twelve--no, fifteen--of them. Somnus had successfully begun nurturing the future generation of Somnus. Azaelia was fine; her behavior before Eureka had gone into hiding had sparked her concern, but since the birth of her pups, all such worry had faded.
Ah, but there was one she was forgetting. Soske. She was clearly uncomfortable with everything unfolding around her, though Eureka was unaware that she and Draco had talked, and she'd already met one of the pups. Eureka gathered what was left of her running thoughts and made her way to her. As she did, she passed her pups. She had to keep herself from disturbing them. They needed to explore and socialize with their cousins, and she knew they would come hiding under their mother's stomach if they were to sense any sort of coddling from her.
"I'd be lying if I told you it isn't always this crazy here," she giggled warmly before the newest addition to the pack, albeit a little awkwardly. "But we have a good family here." Eureka took a breath and let her eyes wander the territory for a brief moment. The cold she felt earlier was gone, and the perfect warmth of spring was finally waking her. Eyes returned with a fresh spark of bliss to Soske.
"We will be going on a hunt shortly. Will you join us?"

Make room for the things that add beauty to your life Merida stayed quiet as she and Eureka assisted Lakaiya to the common grounds, where Murdoch would help deliver her puppies. She was older than both Eureka and Lakaiya, yet she could not fathom to understand this experience they shared. Even Azaelia, who was twice Eureka's age, just had a litter of her own. Was Merida running out time? Would there ever be time? Excitedly, Mer wondered just how many were inside. It was quite possible that Somnus would soon be home to more children than adults, a blessing for the stale territory she had first seen. If she wasn't going to have a litter of her own, she could at least enjoy the fantasy of hundreds of little paws tapping around the territory. "I'll leave you three," Merida whispered after Lakaiya had been safely settled into the birthing den. She had no place being there; as much as she wanted to witness the miracle of birth, she had a respect for boundaries. In the meantime, she danced her way to Azaelia, who was chatting with the beta and the sentinel, soon accompanied by her brother. "Zee! Can you believe there are going to be even more little ones running about?" Merida inquired passionately as she wiggled over to her side, arriving just in time to hear Draco complain about the difficulty of speaking, to which the untitled spirit responded with a disbelieving chuckle. Tail wagging, she looked at Violet. She was aware of the deep friendship that Violet and Azaelia shared, and any friend of Zee's was a friend of Mer's. "Hello Violet," she greeted with an absurdly friendly smile, bones jiggling inside like keys. She was too excited to function. Azaelia Paladin Percy Beta Violet Sentinel Aelin Alpha Draco

"Quit being so drab Midna," Zelda teased with a frown as their mother gave the jet pup a look of disapproval, but her face quickly blackened in a state of trauma when Daddy said the s-word! Eyes wide, she turned her head to Link, who was at the mouth of the den with her now, and burst into laughter. "Daddy said a bad word!"Before she could dwell too long on the manners of her father, curious little feet walked her out of the den. Paws hit the softest floor she'd ever walked upon, barring Daddy's stomach. Blush eyes dilated as she took in the new colors surrounding her, and ears flicked in all directions as she registered each unique voice of her family. Among the first was a many-hued girl who had stepped out of her den, pups following behind her. They didn't at all look like her own siblings, and although she had a very small realm of experience regarding the behavior of children, something was eerily off about those three. "I don't think we should talk to those ones," she warned Link, who was obliviously prancing on Daddy's pawprints. Link was certain to welcome everybody his eyes landed upon, but Zelda knew better, and he often needed her intellect to keep him from being a hero at the wrong times. Her interest shifted to the female announcing herself. Mommy had said the alphess was living in her den with her babies and would come out when she was all better. This must have been her! Gosh, she was so beautiful, and sure looked like an alphess. Just like Mommy. A hunt, she said. Orbs immediately glued themselves to brave Link. Don't get any ideas, punk. We're stuck here. She would have loved to hunt with her family, but she knew she wasn't ready yet. She hadn't even learned how to catch a rabbit. Mice, lizards, and all the tiny things that crawled into the den on occasion, sure; but anything larger than her paw was too dangerous to mess with. She hadn't even seen an animal bigger than Daddy! She was left to ponder for some time, keeping an eye on Link to make sure his ego didn't get the better of him, long enough to realize that the alphess, and her father, had disappeared. Her ears fell and her tail tucked as her body swiveled around, looking for Daddy and that girl he'd been talking to. "Daddy?" Zelda whined repeatedly, never before unaware of her father's whereabouts. Terrified and distressed, she crawled over to Blue, her quiet nanny. The pups were told that she couldn't hear anything, her sister couldn't see anything, and her brother couldn't say anything. It was difficult to comprehend, and quite sad to hear, but her nanny's strength made Zelda love her more. "Where'd Daddy?" Zelda whimpered inaudibly under Blue's alabaster legs. She remained in the comfort of her guardian until the alphess returned with a large male, second in size to Daddy, and two new females, one of which was pressed between the alphess and Mommy's sister. Curious eyes watched as the limping female was escorted to a den. What's wrong with her? Her calculative eyes were glued until the wolf in question was completely out of site. So many things happening! Where was Daddy! Feet scuffled to her mother and settled under long, familiar legs. Still quite distressed, but far more comfortable with her mother hovering over her, she resorted to observation. She registered the names of two of her cousins, Daenerys and Jaime, the latter of whom was unpleasantly cranky with an intense scowl on his face. A paw stepped out from her mother's underside as she dared to investigate the two pups, but they both reclused to that big male's underside. If that was their dad, that meant he was the alpha! Zelda always did her homework. Upon this realization, she immediately removed herself from Mommy's comfort and stood in front of the alpha with confidence. Mother taught her to be friends with those above her in order to have a better chance at becoming successful. She said that strong sociability was just as important in becoming successful as working hard. That being said, she was far more eager to talk to an alpha than she was her own cousins. "Hi," she began sternly, voice dropping a little, though she still sounded like a little mouse in a soldier's body. "I'm Zelda, daughter of Azaelia. At your service." She dipped her head, resisting eye contact with either of her two cousins under his chest... until she heard Merida's voice. Her ears fell in adoration without a second missed and her face lit up with glee, voice returning to its naturally elated state. "Auntie!" Merida yipped before prancing over to her and circling around her feet affectionately, sitting between her and Mommy as conversations went by. Eventually, her eyes did land on the two siblings, Jaime and Daenerys, once more. Was she rude not to talk to them? After all, Mommy told her it was time to meet the cousins, and Zelda was not one to disobey. After a few minutes passed, she huffed and peeled her bum from the soft grass. "Why are you so grumpy, Jaime?" Zelda inquired boldly, with an unabashed tilt of her head. Empty eyes gleamed against the rays of sunlight that were too bright for his puppy eyes, a narrowed squint crossing his skull as his red eyes lay themselves on the ivory white she-wolf that had entered the Commons. There were many things occurring around him, almost too many for him to keep track of. New faces, new scents, new sources of trouble. Azrael was quick to decide that the idea of anything "new" was something that he did not like, if it was "new" it was something his mind would have to process, and processing thought was not something he was very good at, Azrael was someone who thrived on instinct and command. But this she-wolf had managed to catch his very short attention span, and he found himself staring at her in a way that his mother would most certainly deem rude, and in a way that any one else would deem creepy. Azrael wasn't exactly sure what he was doing, but that most-trusted instinct in his gut made a rare appearance and told him that he should approach the curious creature that had snagged his sights. And so he did. Without giving any kind of indication towards his siblings, the young male brought himself to stand before dragging his paws along the ground in his approach of the glowing female. Ruby eyes were upturned as he stopped in front of her, his limbs unnaturally rigid in the way he stood. Everything about him looked wrong, even the way his fur was left unkept without his mother's persistent attempts to keep his unruly raven fuzz in check. It was strange for such an unusual creature like himself to be standing before his polar opposite, a she-wolf who seemed as if she were created from an immaculate and beautiful light. "Who are you." Three muttered words spoken without the inflection of a question. Azrael didn't ask questions; yet he sought answers, unknowing that the rarity of so many words coming from his mouth would be lost of the deaf she-wolf that stood above him.

Her empty stare into the commons was enough to warn the outsiders of her presence, and steer them away from her brothers. It wasn't intentionally cold, her face only lacked the mobility that others had, so greatly that one would alter their path to avoid her line of sight. A longer gaze demanded a greater degree of physical separation, and she sought this for Azrael. He was loyal, but his mind was young, and such innocence made him malleable, easily shaped to fit the needs of others. Uriel was not yet ready to give him the freedom he needed in order to achieve personal gain. He would remain her slave, always. Cassiel was no concern. He had no sense of loyalty because of the inner demons he battled. He could not be swayed by others because his voices would always sway him in another direction. It was Uriel's job to connect with those voices and use them to control her poor brother, convincing his demons instead of his self. How she loved her brother. Many faces, many subjects, many thoughts. Her premonition the night prior warned her that she would face untried circumstances today, so Uriel had arrived prepared, knowing every name that went with every face, and every voice that went with a word. Mother spoke a lot of family during her slow recovery inside of the den. With her pups pressed into her fur she would muse about the beautiful families she could not wait to see, and the beautiful family she once had, as if her offspring were not relevant in either of these stories. Sickening, she told her brothers, but it was no matter. They had each other, and today, they would have the whole world. Limpid pools of blue observed Cassiel's collision with one of the cousins. Oberyn, from what she had gathered. This incited no reaction from Uriel. She was pleased to see how this would turn out. Uriel devoured the features of Azrael as she pinned him with a cutting stare, denoting the words, go play. He left to exercise his dull curiosity with an approaching alabaster female. She was overtly feminine, and surely played some feminine role such as pup-keeper. Alas, she regretted her entrance and reposiioned herself upon seeing the trio of bastards. The little snake resisted a laugh as her brother inquired about the female's identity. Her gaze was transferred to Oberyn's insignificant face, judgement aloof and with no strings. The intelligence behind her eyes served him the proof he needed to wilt under her influence, even as he stood feet away. Silence. Cassiel's warm body pressed against her. Oh, was he heated. He was raging, battling, screaming. She loved him here. "Come now, brother, you're not jealous are you?" Her voice was silk––fluent and engaged, caressing over with sentiment everything it touched. Gaze fixed on their pointless cousins, meditating upon their falseness. "They are sheep, Cassiel. They have no presence with God." She looked to her brother. "They are your trials."The idea of "God" came to her in her sleep, as most messages did. Someday, both Azrael and Cassiel would realize that all life was pointless, weak, and nobody had the inborn power to dissolve an institution without the justification of somebody, or something, greater. All power was borrowed, not created. Uriel had no doubt in this belief and, then, must find her source of supremecy where no others could reach, far beyond the realms of nature. Thus, "God" came to her, one thoughtful night, and granted her this very thing, and He has visited every night since, sometimes during the light hours when her mind was strong, and she was worthy. A curious event, the creation of life. Gunmetal seekers were turned with the subtle mark of curiosity as a convulsing body was escorted across the commons, mother at its side. She had never seen Eureka from such a distance, and soon, Uriel's own images of family began playing in her mind like little dreams, like messages, images that had no resemblance to the muses of Eureka's. A wicked smile curled upon these thoughts. The voice of a disgusting little girl was distant throughout this time, such that she could only make out her pitiful introduction to uncle, but tones became distinguishable upon the question, "why are you so grumpy, Jaime?" "Why, because he is an ungrateful little wrench who would rather sleep his measly life away than involve himself in the events of stupid little girls," she scoffed quietly from afar, in Cassiel's direction, standing upon her feet now with her brother at her side, Azrael now finding interest in the same dove from before. She intended only to be audible to Cassiel, inciting his interest instead, as if encouraging him to instigate and establish the presence of the future generation of Somnus' rulers. Go ahead, show them.

Benjen watched carefully as his siblings greeted the she-wolf he carefully trotted over his tail swaying softly. "I'm Benjen!" He said trying to sound confident but only managing to be loud. The pup didn't mind however he felt as though it was adequate either way. He glanced at what he knew to be his cousins, he made sure not to stare too long at anyone just carefully memorizing their faces so he could place them along side their names, he glanced at the large wolf once more before trotting off slowly, he went back sitting beside his mother, copying her sitting position curiously. He tilted his head as the other pups introduced themselves, for a brief moment he wondered why something seemed off, a seemingly terrible feeling came over the pup, and he glued himself to his mother's side. He was unsure about this feeling but he'd make sure to keep his eyes peeled for anything out of the ordinary.

| Azaelia. Former Somnus Alphess
She became reminiscent of her childhood days upon Violet's sentiment. They weren't any better than they were now. Usually when one reversed through their youth memories, they associated positive stimulations with nostalgia, which came with a great deal of euphoria and pleasant frowns of longing. But Azaelia's recollections were barren. She had chosen to erase any memory that didn't incite such generous chemical reactions, which happened to be all of them before Somnus. But she still felt the effect of their presence. When Violet spoke, her words spilled slowly as if truth took its time, but Azaelia still took the quick blow of reality as she pondered upon "childhood." It was about growth, wasn't it?
Growth is genuine in nature, but it disguises great, perpetual pain. See, living things aren't wired to watch the world be destroyed, so the "growth" of a soul relies on innate mental dissolution which protects developing brains from agony that it cannot yet handle. Azaelia's ability to protect others instead of herself, to set aside fear in order to assess critical situations, was genuine growth. All the rest was a disguise to distract her from the permanent scars that would never heal.
"It gives me hope that we've finally seen a light in the darkness," Violet considered, to which Azaelia responded with an empty-hearted, forced smile, voice hardly audible as her numb body left the ground. Numb and warm, head spinning as she became trapped in her thoughts such that her movements surrendered all control to memory.
"Haven't we," were the words that chose to leave her as she left the premises. She had lost all interest in the little things scrambling at her feet. They were living things, animals that had long futures, purpose, worth, consciousness. But all in a moment they became part of the earth, things easily disregarded as a part of nature that would someday end, as she would, too. Her body would have taken her miles if Percy had not stopped her.
"Do you mind if I watch the pups with you? I think its 'bout time I get to know the little munchkins," he asked. Azaelia stopped, limbs invisible to her as she only imagined an appropriate position such as sitting by her brother. She screamed for him in her mind, but whatever had stolen her soul today dared to ask the question in response, "Who?"
...The little munchkins, he said. Eyes scavenged the common grounds for any indication as to who he may have been regarding, but there were twelve of them. Twelve little things scrambling at her feet. Roadblock, a screen reaching from the ground to the sky, where in the center of fibers her soul, like a ghost in the purgatory, was trapped, and on the opposite side was her body trying to make sense of reality. She searched for something close yet hidden, though she could not in that moment fathom what it could be.
As her eyes found a trail to the tiny little being who had come between herself and her sister, who was the only live thing she recognized at the moment besides Percy, she was unsurprised. In fact, she wore an expression that said she'd been through this all before. Tired, sad eyes. She knew who, maybe, she was looking at, but the name would not come to her. Without thinking, but straining like a delicate flower seeking the sun, she replied to her brother. "Go ahead."
