| Sasha found herself soon approached by another pack-mate, Wren, the bubbly and charismatic she-wolf who managed to remind the Beta of herself before she took up the stricter persona that came with the title of Beta. Perhaps this was the reason that Sasha could feel at ease around her. "Good morning!" Wren whisper-shouted her greeting with a large and friendly smile, which Sasha happily returned. "Morning, Wren." Sasha gave a polite reply and a gentle sway of her plush tail, deciding that Wren's playful and upbeat attitude certainly was an interesting thing to experience first thing in the morning.
"This season is perfect for leaf sliding! You should join me sometime~," Of course Wren had already begun to indulge in the wonders that Autumn provided, which seemed to include the leaf sliding that she had mentioned. Sasha gave a small chuckle in appreciation to her pack-mate's love for a more-so childish sense of fun. The Beta gave a nod of her head before replying. "I'd love to take you up on your offer, perhaps when I find some free-time. I don't think I've ever participated in leaf sliding before, so you might have to teach me." Sasha gave another small chuckle as she accepted the she-wolf's offer, but for another time. For now, the young Beta focused on the sudden movement from the Alphas' den, rotating her head to see the Noctis leaders emerge from the warmth and comfort of their den. "Well, that's my cue." Sasha rolled her shoulders and stretched out her limbs as she stood, ready to stand alongside Luke and Seven for whatever they had planned for today. With a nod goodbye to Wren, Sasha began to make her way over to the pair of superiors.
It seemed that Seven's interests for this morning lay in the two grieving brothers, with the newly assigned Delta by her side as she approached the weeping boys. Her heartstrings compressed inside her chest at the sight, but her attention was quickly stolen by the distant sound of a duel howl. Visitors, new-comers, or invaders? Sasha quickly made her way over to Luke, who she gave a swift bow of her cranium in greeting before letting her cranberry eyes linger along her friend's muzzle respectably. "It seems we have company at the borders." She stated quite obviously, though the underlying question to her statement was a subtle prod, an silent ask of how he planned to acknowledge their presence. | |

To be honest, she was a little nervous that the Beta would give her a look of disdain, a look of 'how dare you talk to me about such trivial matters as leaf sliding,' when she first approached. However, when the cream Beta's smile lit up her face, he worries were whisked away. "Morning, Wren. I'd love to take you up on your offer, perhaps when I find some free-time. I don't think I've ever participated in leaf sliding before, so you might have to teach me," she responded to her invitation. Hey, that sounded like an almost yes! A yes, after some time had passed. "Wren. Beta. How's the morning treating you? Aili approached the pair of them. Sasha seemed to notice something else, something much more important than socializing. Wren could understand, she was the Beta. That was very important. At least they had a few sentences of conversation before she had to go. That left just her and Aili. That was good! She hadn't really had a good conversation with the growing she-wolf for a while. "So far, today has gone pretty well for me, but I can't say that for everyone," Wren responded. She still felt both pity and guilt for Aedion and Tamlin. Pity from their obvious situation, guilt for almost poisoning Aedion with the berries she collected. Either way, she wanted to move her brain away from the two brothers. So she asked, "Wanna come leaf sliding?" @sasha @aili

A shaky breath made its way through Tamlin's lips as his brother nuzzled him. Usually, he was the serious one, the pup that had the least fun, the least emotional response. The recent events seemed to have turned the tables on him. His alabaster frame snuggled impossibly closer to his brother, balling itself up in a sphere of sadness. He didn't want to quite talk to anyone yet. He wanted to stay in a solemn silence to grieve the loss of almost everyone he could have loved. Their mother, Lysandra, his step-father Conrad, his uncle Filtiarn. He didn't even remember his mother's name. Her name, her face, her scent, her feeling, all memories lost to Tamlin. From what he had been told, his mother had given birth soon after joining Noctis, so he doubted that any other wolf had picked up on any of the intimate details he so desperately craved at the moment.
"Good morning. How are the pair of you?" the softened, but still chipper, voice of the Alphess brought his teary gaze upwards. Did she not have eyes? Ears? The pair of them were obviously distraught, and Tamlin's uneven breathing and whimpers were clearly audible. It wasn't a 'good' morning. That much was clear. The over analytical pup would have been happier with the colloquial "'Morning," as it held no immediate assumptions, but he could control the Alphess' mouth. His brother seemed not to be able to control his own, "Do you really want to know, ma'am? Do you care about us, about our pain? Or are you asking for the sake of being polite?"
In ordinary circumstances, Tamlin would have alerted his brother to his rudeness with an ear nip or small nudge, but this morning was anything but ordinary. He made no move to prevent his brother from speaking so brashly to the Alphess. In all honesty, he wanted to know the answer as well. His watery jade eyes turned to Yoki as she stepped forwards."Aedion," her first word made him cringe back. They were going to be yelled at. They were in trouble. No one cared. They never did. "We're all family. Some of us with more choice than others, but we're all here together. Your pain, sadness, worry; affects us all."
For a moment, he held his breath, allowing his mind to fight between rationality and grief. Grief won. What sweet lies. They were exactly the words that they needed to hear, how could they be true? "Each of us cares. Each of us want to see you happy and worry free. Seven, she is our voice, taking charge where her presence is best suited. So please, Aedion, let her talk to you, let us all help in any way we can. Because, believe it or not, we're all here to support you." Though the Delta's speech was directed towards his brother, Tamlin couldn't help but viscerally react.
"Then why couldn't you have stopped Conrad and Filtiarn!? Why couldn't you have stopped our mother from leaving!? Why couldn't you have found her!?" his voice bellowed at the pair of adults. His maturing voice cracked with sadness in the last sentence. He wasn't truly mad at either of them; how could he be? Their words were true. They were trying to help as best they could. Even so, the young pup felt both better and worse after the words left his lips. The weight was off his shoulders, but it was replaced with the guilt of yelling at Seven and Yoki. He couldn't bring himself to defiantly stare up at them as a new wave of emotions hit him. His emerald eyes closed and his face buried itself into his brother's side. He didn't want to face Seven after his outburst. He didn't want to be told off. He didn't want to hear the words of comfort that would make his guilt worse but his pain less. He just didn't want to have any sensory inputs for the rest of the day.

| The chocolate brown mixed wolf looked towards his mate as she responded to what he said. She spoke wisely, and with truth. He knew that there was something going on with Conrad and Filtiarn, and he didn't know if it was simply him who could sense it. Or maybe he had simply been thinking up things to make himself feel better. Never the less, he knew his mate had been close with them, and vise versa. So he wondered why they would abandon friends and family. He wondered the same for Celaena as well, but he knew that she was a lost cause when she had left. There was going to be no hope in having her return. He knew that they couldn't rule out an internal factor, and he knew that still. He needed to talk with the other superiors of the pack. Zero was no where to be found, but he knew that his male Beta would return. Hopefully. And Sasha would definitely be someone that he would need to talk too. Giving a smile to his beautiful mate, he watched her as she interacted with Yoki. Yoki was another wolf that Luke knew he could trust with the information. Although she still needed to grow into the position, he knew that she would be a splendid superior no less. She was a soft wolf, and someone he would definitely seek to bring out the potential she had. Cranberry eyes studied the two as his mate replied to the younger she-wolf, talking about how she would train her on becoming a superior. Bringing himself to follow behind the two as they left the den. Cranberry eyes blinked multiple times as they adjusted the harsh beams of sunlight pouring into the commons. It was definitely a nice day compared to some of the previous ones they had had. Rainy days had been falling upon the land, and the colder air made it a lot harder for many of his pack members to willingly drag themselves out of their warm dens and begin the day as early as he usually had them. Hunting had become harder as well. With colder weather it meant that the prey was hiding more, and was harder to catch. But that was the reason why he needed to prepare for winter. They needed to be prepared for the snow that would come. Luke was going to follow his mate to say hello to the two smaller wolves, and maybe talk with Feyre, but his mission was interrupted by the sound of two synchronized howls coming from the borders. They sounded way too similar, and familiar all the same. He knew exactly who it was within moments of listening. And as Sasha approached, telling him that there was indeed someone at the borders, he gave her a smile. "I know exactly who it is," He said, and without a moment further, he walked towards Seven, hoping to take her with him. But the outburst given by Tamlin towards his beautiful raven colored mate made him growl and approach with a rather angry look on his face. "You have absolutely no right to say something like that to Seven. She is not only your Alphess, but your pack mate. And you will not speak to someone like that again," He said with a growl. "Conrad and Filtiarn were cowards and fled the pack because they simply knew that they couldn't take care of you. And your mother? We searched for weeks on end, sending out patrols day and night. She never turned up, so there was no point in risking my wolves lives for a mother who abandoned her children," He snarled out, thinking about the female made him want to rip something apart. He knew that she had deliberately abandoned her pups because she simply couldn't take care of them. She left it on the rest of the pack to take care of them instead. "I took your mother in when she was on the brink of giving birth to you, I made sure you were fed and taken care of properly. Seven did the same. If you cannot respect her for doing something like taking care of you, then you do not belong in this pack," He said with a cruel look. He knew that he was being harsh, but they had no right to speak to Seven the way that they did, and they would need to be punished sooner or later for the things they said. It was common pack knowledge that you wouldn't speak to a superior in the way that Tamlin had just done. And now they would face Luke's wrath. "Life is harsh, get over it," He growled out before turning away from the two, moving towards the borders. Turning his cranium, he nodded towards Seven to continue as she wished, and he headed off to greet his siblings. Maybe they would be able to ease his mind from the many troubles that plagued Noctis at the moment.

Guilt coursed through Tamlin's lanky frame. He knew that he should have yelled, but he needed to. The crushing weight that had placed itself on his chest was relieved slightly by his outburst. He knew that his actions weren't nice. They were not proper. They were not something that he would do under any other circumstances, but he needed to get the words out. He needed to get the answers to the questions that plagued his mind and soul. The ivory pup sniffed while his head lay in the crook of his brother's torso. He was beginning to calm down slightly, though he still didn't want to face anyone else. "You have absolutely no right to say something like that to Seven," the voice of Alpha Luke snapped his head out of his brother's blanket of comfort. It made him cringe back. His weight shifted onto his haunches, the flight half of his fight or flight instincts kicking in immediately. Though he wanted to bolt, he knew that he had to keep his ground. Luke was the Alpha, and he had yelled at his mate. He almost deserved what Luke was going to say. "She 's is not only your Alphess, but your pack mate. And you will not speak to someone like that again," He said with a growl, causing tears to prick at Tamlin's eyes. He wasn't about to lie, getting yelled at by Alpha Luke was terrifying. "Conrad and Filtiarn were cowards and fled the pack because they simply knew that they couldn't take care of you. And your mother? We searched for weeks on end, sending out patrols day and night. She never turned up, so there was no point in risking my wolves lives for a mother who abandoned her children," his words stung. They were like a whip to his grief, only irritating it more. Though he was never all that close to Conrad and Filtiarn, the fact that Luke called them cowards still hurt. They were his fatherly figures, and the insult towards them inadvertently hurt him too. "I took your mother in when she was on the brink of giving birth to you, I made sure you were fed and taken care of properly. Seven did the same. If you cannot respect her for doing something like taking care of you, then you do not belong in this pack," Alpha Luke lashed out again. Tamlin's watery eyes glanced up at the Alpha's, but he quickly looked away. The glare that bore into his frame was completely and entirely cruel. He didn't think that the Alpha could have harbored so much anger towards him in his life. "Life is harsh, get over it," Luke's parting words struck him like an icicle to the heart. Sure, life was harsh, but the amount of concentrated loss and pain that he had endured over the recent months were extreme. His small hackles bristled with fear. He couldn't help but wonder if this punishment was going to turn physical. Luke definitely seemed mad enough to attack. He simply waited for a harsh grip on his scruff or his ear from Alpha Luke. However, his paw steps faded away. With the immediate threat gone, Tamlin's tears began to flow readily again. His alabaster frame trembled with weakness and fear of what Seven was going to do. With Alpha Luke's reaction to him releasing his emotions at her being so visceral, he didn't know what the ebony she-wolf was going to do. Perhaps she would be the one to grasp his scruff. Perhaps she would be the wolf to administer the second half of an Alpha pair's punishment. "I-I understand. S-s-s-sorry Alphess S-Seven," Tamlin stuttered out, his voice croaky and soft. His small alabaster paws moved back a step. His entire frame wanted to bolt. He wanted to run away from everyone around him. However, he didn't want to run into the woods. Though his brain wasn't exactly fully functional at the moment, he knew that running into the woods was a bad idea. He could get lost. He could get taken. He could be killed by predators and large prey alike. He would be the next Lysandra, and he couldn'nt leave Aedion completely alone. Instead, he wanted to crawl back into the den. He wanted to stay in the darkness of his still sister scented hollow for the rest of his life. He didn't want to see Luke again, he didn't want to see Seven again, he would be a little open to seeing Yoki again, and he definitely wanted to be with Aedion. Though all of the muscles in his body were tensed to run away, Tamlin managed to stay put. It would just make it worse if he ran away form his problems, mainly Seven's punishment. He didn't stand up fully, instead his lanky frame lay huddled on the grass. His tears fell shamelessly onto the ground. Tamlin's jade eyes rested on Alphess Seven's inky paws, not daring to move any higher. Pearly ears pinned themselves on the back of his skull. he just wanted her to get it over with. Just yell at him, bite him, do whatever she was going to do so that he could crawl back into his hole and never come out. The pup had lost all hope of any kind words of wisdom coming out of her mouth. Why would there be any? Luke had made it very clear that he was only a burden and the step-son of a coward. She had no reason to be nice to him. @aedion Alpha Luke @seven @yoki Words: 930

Omega Ater "Living Without Purpose Isn't Living."
With baby blue eyes placed upon the struggling group, Ater observed easily the hulking figure of Luke approach. His expression read angry. Both pups had spurted short outbursts of bitter words but their voices and facial expressions could easily show the pain they were dealing with. It wasn't their fault, they were suffering the loss of just about everyone that was important to them. This miserable pack was all they had left, and yet it seemed that one of them internally loathed this place. "You have absolutely no right to say something like that to Seven. She is not only your Alphess, but your pack mate. And you will not speak to someone like that again. Conrad and Filtiarn were cowards and fled the pack because they simply knew that they couldn't take care of you. And your mother? We searched for weeks on end, sending out patrols day and night. She never turned up, so there was no point in risking my wolves lives for a mother who abandoned her children," His words were much too harsh for anyone grieving the loss of a loved one, let alone two young pups trying to deal with their overwhelming emotions.
"I took your mother in when she was on the brink of giving birth to you, I made sure you were fed and taken care of properly. Seven did the same. If you cannot respect her for doing something like taking care of you, then you do not belong in this pack," Ater swished her tail around her hind legs, feeling terrible for observing the lecture and for the eager bitterness boiling inside her at the Alpha's words. How far would he take this? How cruel could Luke portray himself among his own pack and family? "Life is harsh, get over it," At those last words, the leaden she-wolf cut herself off from listening and watching out of her peripherals. She couldn't hate her Alpha which meant she couldn't listen to his cruelest words. Perhaps, somewhere inside of her, she knew that the true reason she turned her head away was to avoid the image of tears spilling down the lightest pup's cheeks, blocking out his warbled apology toward the ebony Alphess but she wouldn't admit this. She had shed her fair share of tears, weren't they all the same now?
Bringing her softly hued eyes back to the most central part of the Commons, she spotted the joyfully moving figure of Wren, followed by the smaller form of Aili as they conversed excitedly together. Ater didn't exactly feel like getting up and jumping around with the youthful female but perhaps the jovial wolf could lighten the gloom that seemed to plague her. With a steady sigh, the leaden Omega rose to her paws, movements still holding stiff jerks now and then from overnight disuse.
Coming upon the duo with a curt nod, Ater managed a miniature twitch of her lips to show a small but steady smile. "Good morning to you both." Her voice was tame, a slight rasp clinging onto to her words as she spoke. It seemed that they had been in the middle of discussing something and for a moment the she-wolf questioned the timing of her approach. Yet, these two didn't seem like the type to have secret conversations in the center of the Commons. Wren was a fairly open and inclusive wolf, though she wasn't sure she could say the same for Aili, so the leaden Omega felt comfortable with her introduction. Besides, she was sure she had heard the words "Leaf sliding" which meant that what they were talking about must have been some form of game or activity.

The enthusiastic she-wolf's tail batted her haunches as she waited for an answer from Aili. She wanted her old friend to come back to her. Wren had watched how she matured between the time that she had met her at the borders and the present date. It was a little sad. While the older she-wolf had kept her childish charm, Aili had become a fully fledged adult. She was much more uptight, much more straight line than she once was. Wren wanted that childish friend that she had those months ago back, and what better way to bring out one's inner pup than leaf sliding! The batting of her tail ceased almost immediately when she heard the infuriated tones of Alpha Luke. Instinctively, she thought it was aimed at her. Did he not like leaf sliding? She would have to show him the majesty of the sport later if he didn't quite understand. However, it soon became clear that his spiteful words weren't aimed at her. I took your mother in when she was on the brink of giving birth to you, I made sure you were fed and taken care of properly. Seven did the same. If you cannot respect her for doing something like taking care of you, then you do not belong in this pack. "Life is harsh, get over it," he spat towards the two pups. To say that she was shocked would be an understatement. Luke, of all wolves, should know just how fragile the two pups were at the moment. It took a squashed vole, an almost poisoning, and a smearing of mint to even get Aedion to lift his head this morning. Now Tamlin was upset too, it was just like a darkness had spread over the two pups and Luke had just disturbed it. It was the perfect storm of grief and despair over there, and Luke's uncharacteristically harsh words only added fuel to the fire. They even made Wren hurt, and his anger wasn't even directed at her! The blanketed she-wolf cringed and turned back to Aili as Luke almost stomped out of the common grounds. She didn't want to see what else happened. After all the hard work that she had put in to make Aedion feel a little bit better, Luke had gone and torn him down again. She couldn't hate him, but for the moment, she disliked his angered state. Something must be going on in his head, perhaps stress. She could see why, the loss that Tamlin and Aedion experienced was also a great loss for Noctis and Luke. She could see why he could be stressed. Even so, she didn't believe that he had the right to take it out on pups. That just seemed cruel. "Good morning to you both," the voice of a wolf she didn't know as well as she would like to snapped her out of her disgust. Spinning around with a smile, Wren finally realized who it was. "Ater! Good morning to you too! Do you want to come leaf sliding?" Wren's tail resumed it's whipping around behind her. She was hoping that Ater and Aili would join her. Leaf sliding was just so much fun, and this morning needed a little bit of happiness. She didn't want to simply gloss over the pup's issues, but the commons couldn't stay gloomy forever. Starting with a little ray of sunshine could clear a larger portion of the clouds in time. @aili Hunting Superior AterWords: 666

It seemed everyone was in stunned silence as Hoshi padded out her den, but then again the kid always did have a knack for bad timing. With a smile as bright as the sun, she all but skipped out her den like the little sunshine ball she was. "Goooood morning everyone~!" came her song-like voice. Her eyes curving into literal upside down 'U's as she passed a few of her packmates. Giving a quick glance around, she had noted that her accomplice, Newt, had yet to appear so she thought she'd indulge in the next best thing. "Hiya Wren~!" Hoshi beamed, looking up at the taller she-wolf. A cute tip of her head as she greeted the hunter. Glancing round once again, she noticed the Alpha had headed off somewhere, perhaps just daily Alpha duties Hosh wasn't in knowledge of? She mentally shrugged before realizing she had once again spaced out... The usual for her but she wasn't all too sure if everyone in Noctis was used to it. Only Newt had really accustomed to it and sometimes even snapped her out of her little trance. Bless him. Her fiery tail swept side to side as emerald-flecked-with-orange eyes glanced both to Ater and Aili who had been talking to Wren previous. Hoshi hadn't quite gotten to know Ater and Aili all that well, all the fire ball really knew is that Aili got into a little scuff with Newt when they first joined and that Ater was indeed a very pretty she-wolf with sparkly baby blue eyes and a pretty pelt. Still, it was never too late to really befriend pack members. Then again, Hoshi didn't really know anyone except Newt and Wren, perhaps it would be in her best interest to talk to Sasha or even Seven a little more. She did like to embarrass the two little love-birds Maytr and Feyre though- Large, wide eyes blinked a few times before she snapped into reality again. Damnit, I really need to stop zoning out. She grinned innocently up at the three she-wolves, focusing on paying attention at the topic at hand. It wasn't until a shrill, almost pained howl echoed through the commons that really brought the young female to attention.

At Wren's mention of leaf-sliding, at first, Aili was a bit confused, and her face paused in time with her mouth agape slightly, her pupils growing small out of surprise. Aili hadn't really played since she had joined the pack, but just at the thought of it, she could feel the nostalgia of the worryless times of her youth flooding over her in a much-welcomed wave. A little bit of a yearning flickered in her chest, her heart speeding up a bit at the prospect of an exciting change in her thus-far boring life. She gave Wren a small smile, Aili wasn't quite good at smiling, and nodded happily. As Wren and Aili continued on, getting ready to finally have some fun, Ater approached them. "Good morning to you both," Ater said, a bit of a rasp in her voice. Aili gave another small smile at the gorgeous she-wolf, and dipped her head. "Good morning, Ater." Aili says, her tone was still a bit flat but hopefully with some playful times she would again get that inflection in her voice that she once had. "Ater! Good morning to you, too! Do you want to come leaf sliding?" Wren asks cheerfully. Another voice approaches the group, this was a whole lot of socialization for Aili considering how little she had done in the past. It is Hoshi, letting out a very bright good morning greeting. As soon as the she-wolf enters the clearing, it is like everything is a bit brighter, what with her cheery personality and her bright fur. Aili was suddenly surrounded by three gorgeous she-wolves who she was actually going to socialize with. This was definitely unusual for her. Aili gives a small smile at the bright golden she-wolf as well, her own golden eyes sparkling as she gives a polite dip of her head. "Good morning, Hoshi," Aili says politely, trying to get into the ease of a good conversation. She flicks her rosey-colored tail and wonders if Wren is going to invite her to play in the leaves, and finds herself curious about what Hoshi's reaction would be. For a few seconds, Wren simply smiled at Ater with her tail waggling happily behind her. She really hadn't gotten to know that beautiful she-wolf all that well, so she really hoped that Ater would join them. Leaf sliding was just so much fun, and it was an amazing way to have fun with other wolves, and to make new friends. After a few seconds of silent staring with a silly grin on her face, Wren's attention was caught by an equally chipper voice. "Hiya Wren~!" the happy voice was refreshing on her eardrums. At last, there was someone that was as giddy to be awake as she was! "Hoshi! Good morning! Do you want to come leaf sliding? It's fun! I'll show you!" Wren bounced off towards a large patch of leaves. She didn't exactly wait up for Aili, Ater, or Hoshi because they needed to see what they were getting into. What good was it to agree to something that was unknown? That was just odd! She wouldn't do it, and wouldn't expect any of the three wolves she had amassed around her to do the same. Then again, Aili had already given her a nod, so she was roped into her sport. Lucky for her, and everyone else, leaf sliding was about the best thing that friends could do together in autumn. The blanketed she-wolf took a few seconds to scout out the best location for leaf sliding. It needed to be full of leaves, that much was obvious, but it needed to have a few more key components. It couldn't have a whole bunch of pine cones hidden under the leaves. They would hurt when slid over! It also couldn't be too too wet, then it would soak through her pelt and make her all cold! She couldn't have fun leaf sliding if she was cold after the first slide! With her snout stuck in the leaves, Wren hunted for the best spot to slide. When her nose struck dirt that was just the right amount of moisture, she raised up her head and scanned the trees. All around her were oaks, which was a good sign. There would be a very very very low chance of rolling over a pine cone! "Okay, watch this!" Wren barked excitedly, backing up a few steps as she did. Taking off a a sprint, the young huntress extended her front legs in front of her chest and let her hind legs fall limp behind her. With the back of her fore limbs, her fluffy stomach, and the tops of her back legs on the ground, the chirpy she-wolf let her momentum take her forwards, straight through the leafy blanket that covered the ground. Her pelt got all wet, and leaves plastered themselves onto her body with no hesitation. With her tongue lolling out of her mouth, Wren gave an excited little yip. She couldn't help it. Leaf sliding was just something that brought out that bright spark in her eyes. Once again, a humongous oak leaf created a helmet over her head, emphasizing just how childishly happy Wren was. She was about to ask her friends if they would like a turn when a haunting howl broke through the air. It wasn't a nice howl at all. It was a howl that was like an alarm. The howl was riddled with pain and seeming anger, but it was awfully familiar. It was like she had heard it before, but she couldn't place it. Wren was too excited when she was talking to Aili to hear the first two howls that rang through the sky, but this one caught her attention easily. It sounded so full of pain that Wren almost felt guilty having Hoshi still near her. She was most definitely needed somewhere else, at the borders specifically. "Hoshi, I think that you should probably go to the borders... I would feel bad keeping you here just to leaf slide," Wren commented, "Now who's next!?"@aili Hunting Superior Ater Salutary HoshiWords: 666 (again)

Her black tipped tail thumped the ground impatiently. The lack of inactivity was irritating, and boredom quickly washed over her features had it not already been obvious. For it seemed like the seconds were dragging into hours, and it was beginning to trigger her grumbling that quietly spilled forth beneath her heavy breaths. Thankfully Ozmond appeared too wafted in his own thoughts and probably did not notice much, but in case he did her head snapped to look away to a tree, or the sky, or something along those lines… But someone’s head did finally poke out of that damn hole, and it wasn’t Luke. It was that gorgeous black beauty Seven. Well… painfully gorgeous if that was a thing. You could see the envy dwell in Vera’s eyes, the Alpha female’s attractiveness and stunningfigure was impossible to ever compete with; no wonder Luke chose her. But it wasn’t the Alphess’s rank that Vera craved, it was her beauty, her confidence, but it was no admiration that the she-wolf owned, but rather an envious anger that forever riddled her heart when she saw young beauties like Seven. Then again, no one needed to know this, for as quickly as it came the jealousy vanished from her golden orbs which returned to their sober state. She was fine. Her head sunk a little. She needed no pretty figure. Ears rolled back. She needed no one, and that was all that ever mattered. Her shoulders slouched. But before the bitch could sink into her endless whirlpool of thoughts again, her ears caught the sound of yelling, the voice pitch way too high to even seem adult like. Her gaze snapped up to see one of the pups going off on the Alphess. Vera’s head would tilt, as she tried to understand the conversation having missed most of what had started this off. But, when attentive orbs caught sight of the hulking figure of Luke storming over to his mate, Vera could only hope the little scoundrel knew how to dig a hole, and bury himself in it. “Ah… shit.” Words quietly sprung from her mouth unintentionally as she forced herself to back pedal a few steps, even had she not been in the way of the larger predator. Vera assumed Oz would do the same, not bothered with the other male right now as she watched the Alpha ignite on the tiny thing before storming off to the outskirts. Sudden, quick, over… Her description of the entire scene that just played out, but the young she-wolf was completely neutral about the whole incident, she didn’t really have much of an opinion, only that if Luke sought it was necessary then fine, she wasn’t about to judge an angry Alpha who wasn’t taking shit from nobody. But Vera’s next action was unreasonably, absolutely erratic, and oddly had no plausible explanation that she could come up with. The bitch trotted over to the huddle group, going around the lot so she quietly stood behind the two pups and faced the superior females. She almost felt like a nut case, almost. “Aedion.” She began. “Do you think you could help me out with something for a bit?” She spoke in monotone, eyes darting up to stare at black beau- at Seven in approval. Already both the pups were feeling a lot of pain and hatred… the bitch would know… when she felt like this, which was pretty much always, work seemed to always keep her mind busy, it was better than sitting around and crying, plus she thought it was better to split the two for a bit, you never know with kids… Vera didn’t like anything young very much, especially cause of how irrational they could be, and trying to leave the pack would be a plausible thought right now. “Tamlin will stay with the others for a bit... It won't be long.” Vera had chosen Aedion out of the two, right now he appeared more collected then his brother, and the bitch was not about to deal with tears, Yoki would probably be better at that. She was just gonna bring Aedion’s mind into a working mode for a bit. That was if Seven didn’t mind, Vera would still have to see if the Alphess approved of her rare, extremely odd, puppy watch proposal.

Omega Ater "It's Kind Of Okay That You Are Here."
"Good morning, Ater." Ater turned toward the gold trimmed female, a curt nod in her direction at the few, flat words and an offered smile. She hadn’t had much interaction with the yearling, or many wolves in Noctis for that matter. Aili had, for such a young wolf, a rather monotonous surface with only the sudden, interrupting outbursts that revealed a slight temper. "Ater! Good morning to you too! Do you want to come leaf sliding?" The she-wolf couldn’t help the small twitch that widened her smile some. Wren could be such a creative and imaginative wolf, it was almost inspiring to listen to the ideas the bubbly that she came up with. Ater had never foreseen herself spending much time with the cocoa wolf but maybe that could change.
“Could you explain it please?” Her eyes moved momentarily over the forest floor, focusing on the dampened leaves that coated the soaked soil. The name pretty much summed up the whole game but it wasn’t like her to skip over details that could come in handy later. It could be… fun. The leaden Omega didn’t really want to admit it to herself, but she found no real meaning or use for such a childish sounding activity. She could try to entertain the idea that it had some real and useful purpose was hidden within it’s sugar coated surface but the fact that this time was time that she could use to do something productive for the pack.
Without a quick reply to her question, Ater’s attention was drawn to the giddy approach of the lovely flame-licked Salutary as she bounced up to the trio with a beaming smile. "Hiya Wren~!" Her sing song words reached all of their ears, sparking slight admiration inside Ater. To be so comfortable and open with others, it was something she hadn’t really had the chance to experience before. It wasn’t something she had needed much of before.
Ater watched the radiant smile that had blossomed on Wren’s lips grow in response to Hoshi’s greeting. "Hoshi! Good morning! Do you want to come leaf sliding? It's fun! I'll show you!" Without waiting for a single answer, the mottled female was bouncing off deeper into the enclosing forest Noctis was based inside, apparently searching for something. A good location for her youthful games, most likely. A soft sigh left the leaden female’s as she watched the bubbly wolf bound away. Glancing back to Aili and Hoshi, she started in a controlled, almost hesitant, gait after the youthful Hunter. Her soft blue eyes followed the mottled she-wolf as she bounded around, taking great care to study the quality of the leaves and the quality of the ground before moving on and starting the cycle again. It was a little odd to see so much focus and determination go into something as simple as this game.
As she followed, soft crunch sounded underneath Ater’s paw, causing her to glance down. What she spotted was a flattened seed cone crumbled beneath her mass. Maybe Wren actually knew her stuff when it came to these things.
The final location that Wren found was observed minimally before being rapidly approved. She was quick to turn to the toward the group, her face beaming with pent up excitement. "Okay, watch this!" Keeping her posture suitable within her seated position, Ater watched with baby blue eyes as the bouncy creature as skidded this way and skated that way. Expected.
It was the haunting howl that interrupted their little… whatever it was they were supposed to be doing. It glided easily through the air, presenting itself in all it’s anguished glory. "Hoshi, I think that you should probably go to the borders... I would feel bad keeping you here just to leaf slide," Ater glanced toward the female, watching for her expression or listening for a response. It was true, the Salutary would most likely be needed. “There is always time to join in later.” The leaden she-wolf added softly, the rasp deserting her voice. The comment had meant to be a sort of buffer, something to look forward too maybe.
"Now who's next!?" Replacing her gaze on Wren, she did her best to push away the gnawing thoughts that bothered her. “You just gather up speed and slide?” Ater climbed to her paws, studying the ground in anticipation for an answer.

Hoshi was pleased when she was surrounded by smiles, her fiery tail swung side to side in appreciation. "Good morning, Hoshi," Aili had spoken politely and the small female grinned back in response. It was then that Wren had once again caught the healers attention. "Hoshi! Good morning! Do you want to come leaf sliding? It's fun! I'll show you!" Hosh was already intrigued. A bright smile naturally plastered on her face as Wren all but bounded towards a large pile of leaves. The huntress truly was unique, such a playful free spirit that the Salutary really admired. A large, orange ear twitched softly as a small sigh left Ater's pretty being. She caught the gorgeous sapphire gaze with her own golden and emerald before flickering back to the bubbly huntress. It seemed that she was taking great care to present her demonstration all before excitedly barking out a "Okay, watch this!". With a tilted head, the golden female watched as Wren backed up before darting forward, and sure enough she skid against the wet leaves on the ground, soaking her fur. Leaves stuck to her blanketed pelt and Hoshi let out a small giggle. She really did remind the healer of a puppy. The fireball was once again reminded of her duties." Hoshi, I think that you should probably go to the borders... I would feel bad keeping you here just to leaf slide," honestly the female felt a little disappointed to not part-take, but this sounded urgent. “There is always time to join in later.” Ater added softly, and Hoshi was thankful for the gentleness of the omega. She made a mental note to befriend her further in future but for now- "Thank you." she dipped her head politely with a smile as she excused herself before dashing into Newt's den. "Neeeewt! Wake up!" Hoshi's alarmed voiced echoed through his den. She pawed at the small males face. "Emergency, come on!!" she exclaimed all before rushing out of of the apprentices sleeping place and back into commons, sprinting up to a small oaken form. Of course if even Hoshi knew who the demonic howl belonged to then so would the mate of it's owner. The small star was a little concerned for the Delta's mental well being but as of now, there was a potential psychical threat they'd have to attend. So with that, she would await Yoki's reaction before heading towards the Northern Borders .: Exit to Noctis Borders :.

| "Do you really want to know, ma'am? Do you care about us, about our pain? Or are you asking for the sake of being polite?" The words had slammed into the ebony alphess with the force of a storm’s winds, leaving her at a loss for words. Of course she cared about them - how could she not? And yet, how was she to speak to the grieving brothers if they opposed her so much? Ever so slightly, the regal posture of the female’s shoulders dipped - the barest hints of tiredness creeping across her visage. Before she collected herself, however, she was surprised to hear Yoki’s voice slip into the conversation with a careful answer that Seven herself would have been proud of."Aedion," the young female had uttered. "We're all family. Some of us with more choice than others, but we're all here together. Your pain, sadness, worry; affects us all. Each of us cares. Each of us want to see you happy and worry free. Seven, she is our voice, taking charge where her presence is best suited." Seven felt the delta’s tail brushed comfortingly over her raven flank, a gesture which she greatly appreciated. "So please, Aedion, let her talk to you, let us all help in any way we can. Because, believe it or not, we're all here to support you."An encouraging, grateful smile had lit Seven’s face by the time Yoki had finished, the hints of weariness retreating with its arrival. She flashed the small grin toward the chocolate beta; she was glad to see the young female taking initiative in such a way, and having the confidence to speak up in situations like this one. She certainly had potential, that much had never been doubted - and was being proved more and more with each passing day.As soon as Seven’s relief had come, however, it vanished like mist burning away with the sun. Tamlin’s voice rang out, clear as crystal in her ears. "Then why couldn't you have stopped Conrad and Filtiarn!? Why couldn't you have stopped our mother from leaving!? Why couldn't you have found her!?" Guilt hit her in a wave that brought her to bow her oonyx head ever to slightly, her golden eyes falling from the pups to the ground. Perhaps they were right - had there been more she could have done to convince her friends to stay here, where they had travelled so far to reach?Once again, a voice entered the conversation before Seven could find her own. Despite its the coldness in the words, the familiarity of this one was welcoming in the midst of the turmoil within her mind. "You have absolutely no right to say something like that to Seven,” her mate growled toward the small pup. “She is not only your Alphess, but your pack mate. And you will not speak to someone like that again. Conrad and Filtiarn were cowards and fled the pack because they simply knew that they couldn't take care of you. And your mother? We searched for weeks on end, sending out patrols day and night. She never turned up, so there was no point in risking my wolves lives for a mother who abandoned her children." Seven could hear the anger in his voice - anger not toward the pups to whom he so viciously spoke, but toward their mother, for leaving them here. The obsidian female harbored her own mixed feelings toward Celaena. The female had abandoned her pack and her pups, and their exhausting efforts to find her and bring her home had proved fruitless. And yet, the female had been Seven’s close friend, just as Filly and Conrad had been. She had travelled to Noctis alongside the ivory female, witnessed the birth of her children, and grieved for her departure."I took your mother in when she was on the brink of giving birth to you, I made sure you were fed and taken care of properly. Seven did the same. If you cannot respect her for doing something like taking care of you, then you do not belong in this pack. Life is harsh, get over it." With those final, harsh words, the alpha nodded toward Seven. The raven female met his gaze, offering him a gentle smile and a nod as he began to pad toward the edge of the commons - and the borders. She would meet him there when she was finished here.Straightening her posture once more, the alphess’ golden gaze returned to Aedion and Tamlin. She was dismayed to see the latter trembling in what could only be fear. Seven understood Luke’s actions and the necessity of them. However, she was still saddened to see that what was meant to be a gesture of understanding and affection had dissolved into this; shouted arguments, sharp reprimands, and feelings of weakness, guilt, and anger."I-I understand. S-s-s-sorry Alphess S-Seven.” Tamlin’s stammered whimper tugged at something in her mind, some instinct to comfort him and let him know that everything would be okay. However, she hesitated to act, for the brown-black form of Vera approached from behind the pups.“Aedion,” the female’s monotone voice slipped out. “Do you think you could help me out with something for a bit? Tamlin will stay with the others for a bit . . . It won't be long.” Seven nodded slightly. “Just a moment, Vera,” she said, her voice soft but firm. “Give me just a moment with them, and then you’re free to take him with you if he so wishes to accompany you.” In the same stern but quiet voice, Seven returned her attentions to the brothers. “Now, I would like the pair of you to listen to me closely. Luke is right, there comes a point when we must all learn to hold our tongues. Sometimes that can be hard, I know. But me must do as we will if balance is to be maintained within our pack - our family.” She enunciated the word carefully, for a family is what they were. A unit of loyal, bonded wolves who cared for one another. “Now,” she continued firmly, “I don’t intend to punish either you, as you are both still young and inexperienced. However, you are both quite old enough to begin learning the ruled of this pack. In the future, we may not be so lenient.”Her voice quieted, severity leaving it as she continued. “Now, you asked me why I didn’t stop Conrad, or Filtiarn, or your mother. You asked me if I care for you, and the answer is yes, with all of my heart. Not just as your alphess, but as your packmate and as a friend - if not to you, then to your mother. Luke told you that we sent out patrols to search for Celaena day and night, and that is no lie. We looked for her tirelessly for days, until we lost hope. And when we stopped looking, we grieved - I grieved.” Sincerity shown across her face and in her eyes with each word, her words barely more than a murmur now. “And then Filtiarn and Conrad did just as your mother did. All four of us arrived here at the same time, did you know that? We travelled here together, and we arrived just moments before the three of you were born. And now, they’re all gone. So believe me when I say that if there was anything I could have done to make them stay, to bring them home, I would have done it in a heartbeat.”With a sigh, she looked toward the borders, hoping to meet her mate there soon. Casting a final parting glance toward the brothers, she said tenderly, “I have stood where the pair of you do now. I know what it is to grieve for a sibling, for a parent, and for a friend. I care for you genuinely, and just as Yoki said, so does everyone else here. Think on that.” With a nod toward Vera and another appreciative smile toward the delta, she took off at a quick lope after Luke.. : Exit to: Noctis Border Outskirts : . What do you do when you're alone in the world?

Post by Warrior Tamlin on Nov 10, 2017 19:52:00 GMT -8
The trembling pup's jade eyes just stared at the ground. The wolves around him stood silent after Luke's outburst at his stupidity. “Aedion, do you think you could help me out with something for a bit? Tamlin will stay with the others for a bit . . . It won't be long.” the hollow voice of Vera made him flinch. He didn't want Aedion to go. He didn't want to stay alone surrounded by wolves that undoubtedly hated him by now. Luke's word was like law, and with Seven being his mate, and Yoki being his Delta, they probably supported him. He didn't want to sit alone in the grass in a harshly bordered circle of sadness.
“Just a moment, Vera,” the dreaded voice of Seven began, “Give me just a moment with them, and then you’re free to take him with you if he so wishes to accompany you. Now, I would like the pair of you to listen to me closely. Luke is right, there comes a point when we must all learn to hold our tongues. Sometimes that can be hard, I know. But me must do as we will if balance is to be maintained within our pack - our family.” Tamlin shakily nodded. He knew that already. He never would have done it if he wasn't so upset. He sniffled as she stretched the word 'family.' His family was all broken up. The only true family he had left was Aedion, and now Vera was trying steal him away. Of course the pack was his family, but it wasn't the same. It just wasn't the same.
“I don’t intend to punish either you, as you are both still young and inexperienced. However, you are both quite old enough to begin learning the ruled of this pack. In the future, we may not be so lenient,” she reprimanded. Tamlin's eyes began leaking again, but this time from relief. His lanky frame went limp as he whimpered into his chest. And when we stopped looking, we grieved - I grieved. And then Filtiarn and Conrad did just as your mother did. All four of us arrived here at the same time, did you know that? We traveled here together, and we arrived just moments before the three of you were born. And now, they’re all gone. So believe me when I say that if there was anything I could have done to make them stay, to bring them home, I would have done it in a heartbeat.”
Tamlin's whimpers turned to half-hiccuped sobs as he listened to Seven's story. He hadn't known anything about his mother. He hadn't known that her and his uncles and Seven had arrived together. He hadn't known that he came so close to not being a part of Noctis at all. He hadn't known that his mother and the Alphess were friends. He didn't think about any connections she may have had, considering that he hadn't known her. “I have stood where the pair of you do now. I know what it is to grieve for a sibling, for a parent, and for a friend. I care for you genuinely, and just as Yoki said, so does everyone else here. Think on that,” the Alphess gave her parting words before she moved away to the borders. Tamlin schnuffed softly as she padded away.
He needed a cuddle. He needed to snuggle up to someone, anyone. He needed someone bigger than him just to completely circle around him and block out the rest of the world. Aedion smelled the most like home, and was the most comforting, but he want big enough to fully curl around him. Usually, Tamlin was serious and uptight, but right now, he was reverting back into a puppish state. "I need a big cuddle," Tamlin whispered to his brother before getting onto shaky paws. He didn't know exactly how she would react, but he was going to try to claim her as his momentary cuddle buddy. Vera would not want to cuddle, he wasn't even going to try with her. Instead, the pup shuffled over towards Yoki. He gave a little whimper as he sat his rump down next to her. He wanted to just lean into her and be surrounded by her, but she was mad at him, and probably wouldn't even just let him lean on her. His little noggin clunked into her side, but he wasn't going to cuddle into her completely until she gave him any hint that she could. But she probably wouldn't. She would probably just push him away.
