This activity was making Aili visibly a bit uncomfortable and squirmy, which nobody had really seen in her since she was a pup. She was a bit embarrassed to show she was finding something difficult, even though she hadn't even tried yet, and for that thing to be leaf sliding, a pup's game. With hesitance, she watched Wren make her rounds and set a fantastic example, the prime wolf for leaf sliding. Though Aili didn't know it herself, one of her problems was that she was trying to work it down to an exact science, and her other problem was that she was overthinking it. At least Ater didn't really seem to know what to do, either. "You just gather up speed and slide?" Ater inquired as she rose, looking at the ground. Aili furrows her brow, and takes a couple steps forward. "Well, let's see," says Aili, unsure but wanting to find out. Her rosy form climbed the leaves, occasionally getting unsure of her footing as she felt the willingness of the leaves to slide out from under her. She supposed the path she took up would be a slippery enough path to take down. When she stood at the top, her honey eyes gazed down the slope she was soon about to probably embarrass herself on. Deciding if she didn't do it now, she would never do it, Aili shut her eyes tight, crinkled the bridge of her nose, and took a trot forward, and allowing herself to slip as she felt the leaves begin to slope downward. Unexpectedly, it was quite fun, and a thrill that felt at the same time like it lasted a minute when it really only lasted five seconds and also felt like it was over in an instant. The leaves gave way under her paws allowing her to keep accelerating toward the bottom. Finally, the slope evened out to be flat and leaves gave way to grass, and Aili's legs slipped and she was on her stomach. Slightly breathless, Aili opened her eyes, a gleam in them that had never been in them before. A smile involuntarily crossed her muzzle, and she stayed sprawled on her stomach for a second just smiling. She then sprung up into the air, her tail wagging so hard the air was whipping behind her, and her breathing fast just from excitement. It was like her pup side that had been lost for too long was back, and so was her energy and spunk. "Ater, you HAVE to try it" Aili exclaims, her eyes gleaming. She trots up to Ater's side and looks at her, waiting for her to go. Hunting Superior Ater Alphess Wren

Omega Ater "It's Kind Of Okay That You Are Here."
"Well, let's see," Ater flicked her head in Aili's direction, baby blue gaze hiding her judgement of this time use. To her there seemed no need to use a few seconds for a cheap thrill. It was like killing a whole rabbit only to eat a single bite and then be on your way. Wasteful. Then again, maybe her more pup-ish side was just too buried to recognize the positive traits of the game. Returning her eyes to the auburn edged female, Ater watch as she moved forward uncertainly, her figure hovering for a moment in front of a patch of leaves. Slowly, she stepped up into a trot, allowing her paws to begin carrying her forward on the mat of damp leaves. As the Ater watched, the yearling twirled and skidded down the small slope, sliding out of control on the wet ground. As she reached more even grounds, she lost speed and stumbled. Aili's lengthy limbs started tangling together and eventually brought the female to crash to the ground.
Wincing as the yearling went down, Ater took a few steps forward to better see the mess. It hadn't been a graceful crash; no crash was. At the very least she was probably winded. "Aili, are you alright?" As she spoke, the leaden female managed to keep any worry concern from reaching her usually very composed voice. The yearling was strong. No matter what had happened, it was a game, unable to hurt anyone. Besides, Aili too was composed and would be able to move past or at least play off any actual pain.
Ater's question was answered as soon as the yearling climbed to her paws, becoming more visible with the simple action. No, more like bounced to her paws. An auburn and silver flag fanned with an unknown emotion behind her, amber eyes wide and shinning with pure excitement. An idiotic grin was stretched well across her charcoal lined lips, erasing any concern Ater could have had and replacing it with something more like confusion. Backing up to her original position, the leaden female watched for a moment the awestruck yearling only to observe her almost drunken approach with even more confusion now in her expression. "Ater, you HAVE to try it" Appalled, the female stared shocked at Aili, searching her face for a reason for such a sudden change. Was this a joke? What had changed the stony yearling into a mini-Wren so quickly?
The leaden female clambered to unsure paws, glancing toward the beaming yearling who had set herself beside her with uncertainty. Taking steps toward the leaf patch, Ater sucked in a small breath. Why was she so hesitant to try this? Letting the withheld air out in a sigh, Ater stepped forward, letting her body carry itself forward along the patch of moisture slimed leaves. It was an odd sensation, to say the least. It took everything she had to keep her feet underneath her body and from tangling together or sending her sprawling on her stomach. As she reached the end of the slope, however, her front paws started slipping around. Lifting one up to try and replace it only made her only made her wobble and... fall. Fall onto her sternum and ribs in a winding effect that kept her lying on the leaves for a second in a near dazed state.

| Yoki had let herself stand as she was, her posture loose yet tall as she listened to the countering conversation between Tamlin, Luke, and eventually Seven. It was all counter-productive in her eyes, these youthful pups were being scolded in a manner they'd never had happen- though it was clear they should have been grateful their age meant less.
Luke and Seven had eventually left, Seven's final words highlighting a clear note that next time they stood so far out of line, kindness and conversation may have lacked where physicality may have risen. It was the way of a pack, you only got so many strikes to step freely, once they were finished, you'd certainly feel it.
Before long, the Delta had let her head pull around, taking in the scenery of those happily playing, wolves at the boarders were being dealt with, and soon enough, the pressure of a small skull to her side made her jump. The faint whimper of the pup only clarifying who it was as bright, ivory optics fell to look upon the dishevelled creature. "Tamlin," She'd let the name slip off her tongue with a hushed fondness. His posture screamed it all, he just wanted someone to bundle him up like his mother would have if she were present, and with her heart shuddering with softness, the delta couldn't help but let her head fall.
Dark, oaken auricles would slip down to either side of her crown, cream lips parting slightly as salmon flesh slipped free only to caress warm kiss atop the ivory balls forehead. "I never took you for a hugger," She'd let the joking whisper slip free, her tail slowly hoisting around as it engulfed the lower-half of upset pups mass.
It was in her nature to comfort those around her, and as she let herself warm up to the idea of pup-sitting for a little, it would be the shrilled cry of pain and demonic tones echoed through the breeze. It had taken only one mere split moment for her to realize the familiarity of its possessor, a split moment in which brought her to arise from her position. Tamlin would be left ruffled, her tail heaving upwards around him most likely causing his fur to splay in awkward directions, his stature being left untouched as Yoki prepared to move in the direction of the faded call.
"Tamlin, please wait here. I will be back, and then we will go do something together." She couldn't bring herself to leave without offering some solice, she knew the pup needed a friend, a companion of sorts, and she was determined to help him out by taking him somewhere once she attended to her mate. With a final graze of her tongue to the pups crown she'd offer a sincere smile, nodding with ease before she looked towards the approaching silhouette of Hoshi, "Let's go." The clear bark was the first order she'd ever really given, and as it escaped her lungs she'd launch herself forth. Limbs racing with great dexterity as she pushed herself to reach the borders in which Zero cried out from.
Fear and excitement bubbling within her partially bloated abdomen with each stride taken. | |

MAYTR
"why you gotta act so nice? this ain't televised."
Fur of autumn colors trembled in each stride the yearling took, his amber eyes only staring downwards. The adolescent did not acknowledge that he had completely neglected Wren's presence. His stomach churned with emotion as he caught himself deep in thought. The morning zephyr had only motivated himself to do absolutely nothing productive, and his reaction time was late when he shatters his cogitation with the mere movement of his head, the tilt of it, his attention swaying, moving, darting towards something more important. Empathy. It changes the yearlings expression as his eyes drift towards Aedion and his weakened state. He assumed the source of it being one of the stages of grief, and Maytr felt it not once, but twice, when Conrad left this time.
The emotion he noticed seemed strong, as the silent auburn male stopped pacing about. He stopped to stare, as Seven approaches Aedion, and his brother, Tamlin approaches as well. His pelt prickles as he witnesses the voice of Tamlin raise, the shout only mildly disturbing the individual. Once he heard Luke's voice, Maytr made the blunt decision to tune out, his legs carrying him elsewhere to not spectate the situation. Yes, he felt sympathy and empathy for both of them, but the yearling decided it just wasn't his place to be witnessing the conflict. It made him feel guilty. Straying away from them, he decides what to do next.
He couldn't just stay in one place. He had to do something, something good, something that he could gain from. As he scans the area, he briefly notices Aili, Ater, and Wren. If he approached them so suddenly, he knew it would be awkward. So what exactly could he do to waste time? A faint sigh trailed from the scout's maw, as he drags his head back in the direction of where Yoki had left, and there was Tamlin, supposedly alone. Maytr was fully aware, that Tamlin... probably didn't like him, but maybe, he could try to change that. He hoped to be on good terms with almost everyone in this pack, simply for his own benefit, but also wanting to see where these friendships will take him - he was curious to see where it would lead to.
Hesitantly, he wears a loose smile, as he approaches the alabaster packmate. "Uh, hey, Tamlin. I saw what happened." A decent start, or at least that's what the yearling thought. "Do you want to talk to me?" A genuine question, the response being a yes or a no. He wanted to try to befriend Tamlin; emphasis on 'try'. And even if it didn't work - well, at least he tried.
maytr being awkward is my spirit animal

Aedion "Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire."
It was all so overwhelming, with the figure's of Seven and Yoki both craning over his body that was being constricted by his brother's own form, everything felt too hot. Too cramped. Too suffocating. His chest tightened under these conditions, but he looked to Yoki as he was addressed. "We're all family." He'd heard that before, struggled to believe it, but he had been told the same thing so many times that he started to wonder if maybe he should start taking it more seriously. "Some of us with more choice than others, but we're all here together. Your pain, sadness, worry; affects us all." Another thing that he struggled to believe, especially since nobody else seemed to be as close to his actual family as he had been, but he couldn't judge the emotions of others, could he? "Each of us cares. Each of us want to see you happy and worry free. Seven, she is our voice, taking charge where her presence is best suited. So please, Aedion, let her talk to you, let us all help in any way we can. Because, belive it or not, we're all here to support you."
So many things were clicking into place for Aedion just with the small speech from Yoki. They were a family. He had called Conrad and Filtarn his uncles despite their lack of relating blood, and it seemed that he couldn't depend on them to fill that role, so now he would turn to the wolves that had stayed with him, he would turn to the wolves that provided him with the food that he had refused, and the wolves that had protected him and worried for him when he wouldn't show his face around the Commons. Aedion gave a shallow, embarrassed nod after realising that he was indeed in the wrong, but it seemed that his brother wasn't as quick to come to terms with reality as he was, his outburst at the Alphess finally showing an emotion on his face that had been set in stone for days. His lip curled downwards, and his brows furrowed. Aedion had realised that these wolves had tried to help him, Tamlin, mother and Lysandra, and Aedion could now say that he was grateful for their efforts, but it seemed that Tamlin was being stubborn in a time of grief that would take them both quite a while to come out of.
Luke appeared just as quickly as his thunderous tones did, their deep and lashing connotations brining Aedion to flinch before he could realise that these words were not aimed specifically at him. But everything that the Alpha was saying was true. They were six months old now, punishment for stepping out of line like this would be punished soon. He wouldn't have time to grieve over the passing of those around him; he was a wolf, he needed to survive. Did that leave any room for sentimental attachment. Aedion's eyes glazed over.
Life. Was. Harsh. And he would have to face it in order to step foot into adulthood, which was the only place he was going.
It seemed that he was being beckoned by another adult, his head turning in an almost mechanical way to see the brown she-wolf that had requested his accompany. Vara? Vita? No, Vera was her name. She was one of the more distant wolves, one who seemed to have walls built out of spite and ice that covered her heart. Aedion slowly pulled himself away from the warmth of his brother, practically peeling himself away from the form that was still shaken after Luke's uproar, but unsurprisingly, Aedion still felt nothing, no sympathy, maybe a tinge of pity considering it was his brother, but other than that he felt...hollow. But his steps were halted by the command of the Alphess. His head craned back around to look at the black beauty, the blank look of his stare matching the feeling in his chest that wasn't even a feeling.
She basically recapped Luke's mini-eruption before claiming to know his mother and his 'uncles', claiming to know the kind of grief that they were dealing with. Pain struck his chest again, shattering the emptiness that had plagued his mind beforehand. It seemed that even this she-wolf knew their own mother better than they did, their own mother. And Aedion hardly knew her at all, Aedion could barely remember what her milk tasted like, and he had only just opened his eyes the days before her disappearance. Of course Seven was closer to their mother. It was just another sad fact of Aedion's life, and as Luke had said, he would have to get. Over. It.
"Thank you, Alphess Seven." He spoke as if he were reading from a book, lifelessness washing over him once more as he turned to back to Vera, his chest growing emptier and emptier as he began to toss away so many emotions and memories that he deemed useless for someone like him. Aedion paws practically dragged against the ground as he came to a stop in front of the she-wolf. He looked at her and said nothing, only waiting whatever task that she could give him with a lacklustre gaze.

"You just gather up speed and slide?" Ater questioned, still sounding unsure of the game she created. Wren nodded enthusiastically, her salmon tongue hanging out of her mouth with joy. "Well, let's see," AIli commented as she began to walk up the hill. With every step, Wren's tail wagged harder, her amber eyes watching eagerly as her friend stepped up to the top. With one last step, off she went! It was perfect slide! The leaves swishing and sliding, the wind flapping for the few seconds of pure joy that leaf sliding truly was. "Aili, are you alright?" Ater called out to the teen. Wren chuffed slightly. Of course she was alright! The blanketed she-wolf had scouted out a route that had minimal pine cones and pine needles, almost all nice soft leaves. Aili's bright eyed tail wagging self that popped up after a few seconds just made Wren bounce with joy more. She liked it! See?! It was so fun! Wren continued to give little hops as Aili trotted back to the group. "Ater, you HAVE to try it!" she barked to the serious she-wolf. Ater didn't look too happy about walking up the hill, but she did it anyways. "I told you it was fun!" Wren whisper yelled to Aili as Ater reached the crest of the hill. The pretty she-wolf somehow managed to surf down the hill! Her paws slipped around underneath her until the end of her trip, when they slipped and sent her crashing down. Wren winced and trotted over to the obviously winded female. "Next time, try flopping down at the start of the hill; it really makes things more fun! And you won't get winded," Wren advised, digging a few leaves out of the way from Ater's downed form, "Wanna try again?" her cheeky tone prodded at the she-wolf, hoping to convince her to try again. She wasn't all that good at leaf sliding, she had to admit, but Ater was VERY good at leaf surfing! The transition though, that needed a little bit of work. Hopefully, she could convince her that one bad leaf slide wasn't the the end of the game. There wasn't really an actual end, when everyone was tired, or they ran out of leaves, she just assumed that leaf sliding would end on its own. @aili Hunting Superior Ater

What do you do when you're alone in the world?

Post by Warrior Tamlin on Nov 28, 2017 22:40:55 GMT -8
The warmth of Yoki's side didn't give the distressed pup comfort immediately. He was expecting to get pushed away, to get sent off. He had yelled at his Alphess. Why would Yoki want to comfort him? "Tamlin," the sound of his name only sealed his fate in his mind. There it was. He might as well just go back to his den. Aedion was already gone with Vera anyways. Where else would he go? His lanky frame started to move away from the obviously angry Delta when a lick on the top of his forehead almost made him collapse in emotional instability.
His frame went limp, allowing the Delta to sweep him back to her with her tail. Tears pricked at his eyes as his whole frame filled with relief. He let himself sit in the warmth of her embrace. He was convincing himself that he was loved here. This was his family, just as Seven, and Yoki had said. He was loved here. He was cared about here. He should never yell at anyone again, it would be like yelling at his mother, unknown father, or siblings, well, now sibling. "I never took you for a hugger," Yoki's joke made him politely huff, but not actually laugh. He wasn't one. In a time of grieving, of course he wanted comfort. Any other time, he wouldn't like to be hugged. But right now, in this time of sadness, the motherly comfort of someone was gladly taken.
A piercing scream of pain wasn't initially registered as an object of interest until he found himself with his fur sticking out in all directions with the absence of a tail around his exhausted frame. "Tamlin, please wait here. I will be back, and then we will go do something together," the Delta promised before bolting to the borders with Hoshi. At least he had her promise, but her sudden departure left him questioning why. The howl was of course the answer, but who's howl could make the Delta scramble away so quickly? Someone important, that was obvious. The realization smacked him square in the face. Zero, of course. He had been gone for way too long. It was a good enough reason for Yoki to leave him here. Alone.
"Uh, hey, Tamlin. I saw what happened," The voice of the wolf he least expected to hear popped up from beside him "Do you want to talk to me?" The pearly pup shook his head slowly. The last wolf he really wanted to talk to right now was Maytr. Even without the fact that Feyre seemed to like the russet male more than himself, he wanted to be alone. Alone, or with Yoki. "Sorry, Maytr, but no. I'd rather be alone," Tamlin quietly spoke to the older male. With no more than that, Tamlin moved towards and into his den, shutting himself off from any other social interactions. Until Yoki got back, he didn't want to be disturbed.

Vera remained silent, a firm nod given as Seven desired to speak to the two youngsters. What now boggled her mind was that now she was going to have to think of something for Aedion to do. She honestly didn’t think she’d get this far in her attempts. A paw sifted through the dirt beneath her as she thought up some various options, before noticing Aedion had returned his attention to her. She had come up with something.
“Come along.” She ordered. Eyes hard and apathetic. Yes indeed these were only children, but Vera knew they had a lot to learn about the truth of the world, that it wasn’t always a very nice place. The she-wolf let out a sigh looking down at the kid, before turning to trot in the direction of the forest river Maybe a little one on one would help, plus she could have a little chat with him if she felt nice enough. Her gaze would only once dart to Oz, wandering what had happened to him during all the commotion. She wouldn’t mind him tagging along… would she? Vera let a snort, trudging off with hopefully Aedion in tow.

Who would have thought this would have actually been fun? A constant, unintentional, seemingly endless grin stayed on her muzzle as she watched Ater take her turn, and Wren give her some advice. The pretty she-wolf surely would have a better spin next time. Aili nodded as Wren encouraged Ater, and she herself gave a kind smile to the pretty wolf. To Aili, it almost still felt like she was sliding down those leaves, probably because the adrenaline hadn't quite left her, yet. "I never figured this would have been so fun," said Aili, looking at Wren. Her honey-golden eyes glimmered a bit as she looked at the she-wolf she was glad to have as a friend again. With Ater still staying on the ground, probably trying to shove air back into her lungs, Wren took it upon herself to try to gather up the leaves at the bottom. Shoving the leaves from the trees around the hill that they were sliding down, the leaf covered she-wolf created a pile that was decently sized. It was big enough for any of the participating sliders to get lost in! "I never figured this would have been so fun. You should tell me what to do more often, Wren," Aili's cheery voice barked from beside her. Finishing off her leaf pile, Wren turned to the friend she gained back. "It's all in the attitude that made it fun! You just had to give it a good old fashioned go!" her almost perpetual smile leaked happiness, "Let's do it again!"The young wolf bounded up the hill. Her leaf pile was ready below her, and she couldn't wait to give Ater's idea a go. To not flop immediately, but to try to stay standing as they slid down the hill; it was the kind of insane idea that Wren thought would make fun. Giving herself a small run up, the agile she-wolf planted her paws into the leaves on the slope. Trying to keep her paws under her as she slid down the hill was hard! The slope lent her no help as she accelerated atop the leaves. As the end of the hill was approaching, Wren shifted her weight forwards to allow her to slide straight into the leaf pile she made. She lay there for a few seconds, slowly drawing her paws back underneath her. With a sudden jump, she exploded out of the leaves; a bomb of pure joy spreading through the fluttering of fallen shrubbery. Her tail was wagging a mile a minute, her amber eyes gleaming with the childish joy that sliding into a mountain of leaves brought the fun loving she-wolf. "Aili, you have to try that!"@aili Hunting Superior Ater

What do you do when you're alone in the world?

Post by Warrior Tamlin on Feb 9, 2018 23:01:14 GMT -8
Darkness. Mental and reality. His mind was numb. His body was numb. All he could see was black. The stunningly white pup had his eyes clenched shut while also in the furthest corner of the den that used to be so much fuller. Tears no longer fell from his eyes. He had cried all of them out. There was nothing left in his tank. Truly, he was exhausted. He didn't want to feel the grief anymore. He didn't want to feel the hurt. He decided to close himself off. He couldn't deal with it anymore. He was like a reverse hot pocket; cold on the outside, but soft, and warm on the inside. He didn't need to find himself so emotionally damaged again. He braced his outer self, not wanting to show his pain to most other wolves outside of his den. Taking a final deep breath, he left his den.
With only his previous performance and the dried trails of salt on his cheeks to let anyone know he was upset, the suddenly matured pup walked out into the commons. He didn't know what he wanted to do now that he was out here, but there had to be something. Yoki had promised that they would do something, but she was still gone, fleeing to the Beta that was obviously in some pain. He wanted to move his muscles, he wanted to learn something new. To fight; yes, that would be good. He would learn to fight. He doubted that Yoki would want to teach him that. Just looking into his memories, Yoki was a timid wolf. He didn't even know if she knew how to fight. Usually he could've asked his step father or uncle, but without them, there weren't many others to ask. His eyes fell onto no one that could help him. He still considered asking Yoki, but his brain turned to Zero. Perhaps, if he were not that hurt, he could teach him. Or maybe after he healed. The male seemed to be the most likely wolf to teach him anything about fighting at all. As for now, another name popped into his head. Vera. She seemed strong enough, and considering that she was the most eligible wolf for the job, he set out to find her.

Omega Ater "It's Kind Of Okay That You Are Here."
As the Omega laid spread-legged on the ground, the familiar hues of Wren danced toward her like a beam of living sunshine. Grumbling at her own terrible performance, the graphite bitch dragged her aching body upward onto her rump, ears swiveling attentively toward the giddy Hunter as she bounded closer. "Next time, try flopping down at the start of the hill; it really makes things more fun! And you won't get winded," Her advise fell on deaf ears as Ater carefully relieved her chest of a streak of dirt that had painted her center, bitterly preening as Wren babbled. "Wanna try again?" With her chest still knocked of air, the bitch only looked up toward Wren with a small shake of her head, indicating where her presence would during the next round. Sitting, watching. Yet, the jolly Hunter didn't seem to notice her attempts and turned directly toward the oncoming Aili, who still wore an idiot's grin on her youthful face.
"I never figured this would have been so fun. You should tell me what to do more often, Wren," Aili's uncharacteristically cheerful bark followed from the slope's top. "It's all in the attitude that made it fun! You just had to give it a good old fashioned go!. Let's do it again!" The graphite bitch murmured a curse under her breath as the Hunter joyfully leaped back to begin a second round of the youthful game.
Ater followed more slowly, face falling back into her resting expression: serious. As she reached the top, a blur of browns and grays sped past her and down the hill, a mess of gangly legs and ruffled fur. Moving flank to flank with the yearling, the bitch seated herself properly to observe the rest of the game. Even as Wren popped up joyfully, calling for Aili to follow in her actions, Ater stayed frozen in place with little more than a twitch.

Adrenaline still pumped through her veins, even when she wasn't sliding down the hill. Bark stuck under her claws, leaves stuck to her fur in every which way, and quite frankly, she looked more pup-ish that any of the pups in the commons! Then again, there weren't any... Feyre and Maytr were both considered adults; they both had ranks. Tamlin and Aedion had wandered off somewhere. There really weren't any other pups in the commons. Ah well, some had to come along eventually! Turning back to her situation, Wren scampered up the hill again. Ater sat at the top, still looking a little bit winded, and frankly, a little bit grumpy. Wren toned down her tail wagging and cheery smiles a little bit as she approached her. She was a bit immature, but she knew how to read wolves. She plopped her rump down next to the notably beautiful she-wolf and stayed silent for a few seconds. Once the small amount of time had passed she piped up, "Ya know you could give it another go if you wanted. It's always hard to get back into something that goes... not too well the first time." Wren gave her a small smile, but didn't make any move from her, waiting to see if Aili was going to slide down next. @aili Hunting Superior Ater

Aili was slowly regaining her breath, her crazed smile slowly slipping away from her face to become a slight curl of the lips. The leaf-sliding probably was only contributing a small amount of her happiness and excitement to her attitude right now, rather, most of it was probably from her breaking that cold shell she had retained for so long and realizing she could be friends with Wren again. Well, really friends. She waited with Wren for Ater's reaction, only to have Ater be kind of grumpy. To be expected. While Aili did not really know the she-wolf, she supposed Ater didn't exactly seem like the all-cheerful, childish type. Ater's reaction was almost, in a way, bringing the Earth up to Aili, so to speak, grounding her. The sort of crazed high was leaving, and she was calming down, though the fun hadn't quite left her yet. "Ya know, you could give it another go if you wanted. It's always hard to get back into something that goes... not too well the first time," Wren says, her encouraging words always rivaling Aili's blunt honesty, which was not a very good combination with sensitive wolves. Luckily, Ater didn't seem to be sensitive, and Aili was hoping that Wren had figured out that Aili was just a blunt and honest wolf, she wasn't trying to be rude, she just said stuff as it was. That made her a bit more comfortable. Wren seemed to be waiting to see if Aili was going to slide down again. While Aili kind of wanted to slide down again, she also kind of wanted to wait for Ater. However, she decided to wait and see what Ater did or said, not wanting to interrupt the moment or anything. Her honey-golden eyes calmly rested on Wren and on Ater, hoping Ater might get at least one bit of fun out of this. However, if Ater decided she didn't want to do this, that was fine. Aili supposed she would still be able to hang out with Wren if Ater left, which was something she wanted to do more often. Wren was the only sort of friend Aili had here, and she wanted to make sure Wren knew what kind of a wolf Aili really was, that Aili could be a good friend. At the same time, while she didn't really know Ater, she was glad to have interacted with her a little bit, even if only for a while. OOC: Short post in-school Hunting Superior Ater Alphess Wren

Omega Ater "It's Kind Of Okay That You Are Here."
Ater watched as the two she-wolves slid joyously down the slope, idiotic smiles plastered all over their faces and tails beating faithfully behind lean haunches. As Wren slid to a pause, legs splayed about her like a newborn fawn, her amber gaze flicked upward to the graphite bitch, smile teasingly naive as she scurried back up the incline. Ater didn't move a muscle, simply flicking a cuffed ear in acknowledgement as she expected the ebony blanketed she-wolf to simply start another round. Instead, she looked hopefully toward the Omega, soft amber eyes meeting stern baby blue ones with a genuinely wishful expression, as if she enjoyed Ater's previous involvement in her play. "Ya know, you could give it another go if you wanted. It's always hard to get back into something that goes... not too well the first time," Ater flicked her gaze toward Aili down below, observing the yearling's beaming face with her usual harsh judgement before turning back to Wren. Shaking her head slightly, the graphite bitch responded, her voice composed and reasonable. "I thank you for the introduction to this... compelling game. However, I think I will only observe for the time being, your separate techniques are quite interesting to study and compare."
With her words came a sense of finale, making herself sound as though she was rather set in her decision. In all seriousness, Ater was rather unsure of whether to stay and watch, or return to the Commons as to not miss anything. It worried her some to know that, should something happen, she would be away and unable to provide aide. However, she swished a sleek pennant about her hind legs, keeping her posture comfortable as she watched her new companions in their play. Perhaps it would do her some good to stop worrying about what she was missing out on all the time and just relax.
