Emerald eyes settled on the females speaking once more as Kylo continued his way towards them to introduce himself. Hux let himself examine the other wolves carefully before bringing himself towards them as well, deciding that maybe, just maybe, it wouldn't be so horrible to travel with other wolves. If his time as General taught him anything, it was that strength in numbers was the way to go. As he approached Shikoba and Mirai, Hux couldn’t help but feel his hackles raise as Kylo spoke for him. Though he also realized it might be best. Many wolves did not take kindly to those of Coyote descent. Shikoba’s eyes fell onto him after a thorough examination, her eyes lingering on the ginger wolf, likely sizing him and his acquaintance up. He did the same, the dark female’s bicolored eyes catching his own at first, the haunting white iris he had failed to notice before due to their distance made his eyes halt momentarily before continuing along her body, he muscles prominent but only just barely. He was sure she wouldn’t be much of a threat. Though he was smaller, he could hold his own thanks to rigorous training rituals his father forced upon him from a young age. “I don’t know what you’re looking for, but I know of a pack, and I’m headed that way now to check it out, would you like to join my companion and I on the journey there? It shouldn’t be much farther, a few days give or take, depending on the conditions, and I always welcome guests on my travels.” she spoke finally, and Hux merely looked to Kylo, allowing him to take charge this once. @shikoba @mirai Kylo

A few days give or take. He could sacrifice the time he supposed, especially if sacrificing the time yielded ample legs and jaws for taking down larger prey; more food for he and Hux to keep their strength up was a worthy trade for traveling companions, though he knew his ginger companion very much preferred to be a loner, he would have to suffer through it and Kylo would scruff him if he had to; the Yukon was more than able and took enjoyment in the thought, unable to stop the spread of a somewhat sinister smirk spreading on his expression. "How much hunting experience do you two have?"he asked, his mind on his stomach. As sneaky as his companion was, he couldn't throw his weight around and bring down a buck or a decent meal like Kylo had been able to in their pack days, he longed for that feeling, nothing gave the same crunch as a jugular, no matter the animal. The female beside Shikoba rubbed him the same way Hux did, physically smaller, agile without a doubt, probably fast, but this male valued strength, weight, larger stature. That was real and tangible, that was what would keep a pack from starving. His white and red hues landed on Shikoba as an afterthought, Though she was nowhere near as large as the Yukon, her fur surely gave the illusion of a much bigger wolf beneath it. Hell, he was sure he could probably scruff her and pull her around too. If her strength was not physical what was it? She was a rogue afterall, they both were, he and Hux had recently become accutely aware of how much harder life was without a pack. He made mental note to pay close attention to these rogues, he wanted to figure them out before they could figure him out, knowing your potential enemy was paramount to survival. He looked to Hux for a few seconds, hearing no words of protest come from the other, was he feeling ill? He took his silence as agreement, after all, there was nothing the Coywolf enjoyed more than voicing his displeasure and no sound annoyed the Yukon more than Hux's complaints. "We should continue that way." he suggested, but it was not really a suggestion, it was what he intended to do, eyes and nose pointing in the direction he referred to. "we will find better game at a lower altitude, specially with the cover of the trees."He turned his attention to his fellow black wolf, large paws pressing forward to lead Wouldn't want them to see us coming, would we?" What they saw or did not see mattered little to him, the brute would kill whatever he sunk his teeth into, that was a promise. -Exit to: Muddy Pines- @hux @shikoba @mirai

"How much hunting experience do you two have?" Shikoba's mismatched eyes flicked between the two males, her chest tightened, she ignored her immediate reaction of him trying to act as if he was in charge and kept her neutral tone. "I've been alone for around four years and I've survived better than well off, don't question my abilities please." She stood up slowly, shaking out her thick black fur, and before she could say anything more the larger black furred male continued. "We should continue that way. We will find better game at a lower altitude, specially with the cover of the trees. Wouldn't want them to see us coming, would we?"Shikoba's nostrils flared her paw shuffling in the mud and snow beneath her, everything in her screamed to move straight into travelling mode, she had no interest in hunting. She had just eaten enough to hold her over for a day or so, but she knew the other male was larger and therefore needed to eat more in portion and much more often. Her paw continued to dig into the dirt nervously, she had a tight schedule to keep and any deviation always caused her more stress than she would like to admit, but she slowly responded, "We can hunt, but not for long, if we don't find anything soon we must continue on, I'd rather not be delayed if it is at all possible." Shikoba continued to dig with one paw looking towards where she was headed, where she wanted to go, and then back towards where Kylo had pointed and shook her fur out once more, trying to rid herself of the discomfort she was feeling inside. Then she looked slowly to Mirai to make sure the other she-wolf was ok with it as well and after a small nod of Mirai's head Shikoba gave her own nod indicating that she was ready to continue moving towards the hunting area Kylo had indicated. @hux @mirai Kylo

Achak blinked at his friend, granted they were looking for a pack but the rouges were unknown, therefore they were dangerous. The nervousness of Shale probably tilted the scales anyhow, the other wolves would be curious about them. "Um Shale-" he blinked for a moment. "Don't you uh remember? That other pack already offered us a spot." He was unsure if his friend would catch on but hoped he would. He stepped between Shale and the other wolves, pushing Shale backwards, giving him a slight look of panic. He'd hoped the other wolves wouldn't question it. "Back up we gotta think this through." He said quietly to the smaller wolf as they continued to back up. Once they were far enough and out of reach of the other wolves Achak spoke freely. "Shale I know you're eager but we don't know anything about those wolves... And I know we really want to join a pack but we also have to be careful." He sighed softly his ears flattening. "Sorry if I freaked you out also, I'm just a bit nervous about all this, and I don't want us to get caught up in something we aren't ready for." Achak said calmly sitting before his friend, the worry slowly leaving him, something about Shale's giddy optimism helped Achak stay calm and clear minded but also it helped him see thinks from a different perspective. He didn't want to lose his friend especially to someone they didn't know yet.

Hux felt his ears flatten as he heard the words fall from Kylo’s mouth. He sensed this female had a commanding presence, and with it, at least a few years of experience by herself. Emerald eyes seemed to turn to daggers as he looked pointedly at the oaf he had once called Supreme leader not too long ago, he had hoped he’d have more tact, but alas, it seemed not. “I’m sure my friend meant no harm,” he soothed, “his hunger is an endless void and thus his brain is often replaced with his stomach.” He stuck a sharp elbow in between the midnight male’s ribs. This is what he was good at, cajoling and making themselves seem less than they were. “I fear I’ve not had a meal in quite some time, and I’m sure with the lot of us, we could bring down a decent meal that he’ll scarf down and we can be off again in no time.”
His gaze slid over to Mirai, urging her to agree with him. As she nodded to her companion, he inwardly sighed, his muscles untensing as he continued behind the group towards the hunting area Kylo mentioned.

Achak, it seemed, had an entirely different process of thought than Shale did when it came to these rogues. “ Um, Shale?” he said, his eyes widening. “ Don’t you, uh, remember? That other pack already offered us a spot.”For a moment Shale blinked at him, completely bewildered and absolutely positive that nothing of the sort had happened. Achak gently maneuvered him backwards, putting some distance between the two of them and the three strange wolves as he whispered, “ Back up. We need to think this through.” Shale was still confused, but something about the uncertain, warning look in Achak’s eyes let him know. I’m supposed to play along with this.He laughed nervously. “Oh, er, right,” he said. “How could I have forgotten about that?” He looked over Achak’s shoulder, offering an apologetic smile to the other wolves. “Never mind, then. I suppose this is goodbye, but it was nice to meet you all!” Once they were out of earshot of the others, Achak spoke again. “Shale, I know you’re eager, but we don’t know anything about those wolves. And I know we really want to join a pack, but we also have to be careful.”“I know,” Shale said. “I’m sorry about that. I guess I just got a little carried away. I didn’t know rogue groups could be that big; they seemed to almost be like a pack, and they were so friendly...I didn’t know what I was saying till I said it. But you’re right, it’s probably best we do things cautiously. Out here, who knows what could happen?” Achak sighed softly. “ Sorry if I freaked you out, also. I’m just a bit nervous about all this, and I don’t want us to get caught up in something we aren’t ready for.”“I wasn’t freaked out,” Shale said quickly. “Well, not much, anyway. I was...mildly concerned.” He felt heat rise to his face beneath his fur and continued on quickly. “But I see where you’re coming from. I know a thing or two about being nervous, believe me.” He waited for a few minutes before he spoke again. “I do think we’re ready for a change, though. I really would like to be in a pack again. Maybe one of the official packs would be a better, safer idea?” @knox @kebechet Spirit @achak

Achak relaxed hearing Shale's words, he was also glad he hadn't freaked the smaller wolf out too much, he walked softly along side Shale as he thought about his question. "Yeah I think they'd defiantly be safer, what's the closest one to us do you know?" Achak asked softly still thinking about their choices. He was curious about Shale again now, why had he stuck around Achak? Were they already that fast of friends? He'd hope so, he liked Shale. He snapped out of his thoughts a bit. "Joining a pack will be good for us." Achak nodded quickly, almost more so to himself. "We'll do better there versus out here especially," He realized now how open they were, it once again struck some nerve in him making him slightly on edge, his fur stood on end softly as he looked out around vigilantly. He looked to Shale for his response, his ears flattening slightly.

Thankfully, the idea of joining an official pack seemed to suit Achak much better. He not only agreed to the idea, he pointed out that joining a pack would be safer, asking which one was the closest.
Shale tilted his head, considering a moment. “Well, I don’t know exactly where they all are; they move around from time to time and I’ve been on my own so long that I haven’t paid the packs much attention. But I remember hearing something about one of the packs, Ferus, being near here, maybe a week or so away. That direction.” He nodded toward the south. “But if that’s where we’re going, we should probably get a move on.”
He started off across the valley at a brisk walk, grateful for the reassuring presence of Achak by his side. How he would have hated it if he’d had to make the journey to Ferus alone. And whatever happened once they reached the pack borders, it would be good to have someone he could trust close by.

Achak smiled as Shale answered, he was growing more excited the thought of joining a pack again thrilled him. Ferus interested him and he was glad to go with Shale, he felt stronger maybe it was his pack mentality coming back, but he felt unstoppable. "Alright let's get a move on" The walked next to Shale happily, his mind racing through all the possibility, and although he was happy and excited he wouldn't let his guard down. No matter what came He would put Shale before joining a pack, they were a package deal now he wouldn't abandon his friend so long as his friend wouldn't abandon him. Ferus would have to deal with that, if not they'd move on to another pack. Exit to Ferus

The warm sandy colored canis lupus descended her cranium low to the milieu, her rhinarium gently sweeping the weeds as she smelled the light breeze. She padded carefully, her audits high in alert and her tail paused in a certain low position. She was stumbling into new territory, making her alert and quite frankly a bit terrified. She growled to herself, making herself known to things that were around her. Taking one step in front of herself, she took the time to look around. "Not too bad looking.. Looks pretty nice for a valley." She carefully and gradually let her bones relax, as she had been tensing them. She was quite nervous, as it was her first time in this new place. The scents told her the area was okay, making her a bit more comfortable. She proceeded, padding up the steep mountain.
She eventually stopped to rest under one of the rocks that was sticking out of the mountain sides, making enough shade for one wolf. She took the opportunity to rest, panting heavily as she let herself fall onto a bedding of soft leaves and grass. She groomed her pads, cleaning out the tiny pebbles, dirt, and fragments of the milieu. She rested, closing her opticals as she wagged her tail. This was one of the greatest times during her adventure, being able to rest in quite a peaceful area, She laid on her side, half asleep. As she was slipping into half conciseness, she smelt something. She thought it was just a figment of her imagination, and proceeded to calmly rest as she sighed.

As Astoria dance around Astro, she couldn’t help but giggle. They were both covered head to toe in the glitter on the ground, and as she danced around him, he tried following along with her movements. Her heard skipped a beat however, when he started acting like he was injured. She took a step forward, hoping that he was okay, and ready to look over the wounds that he possessed, but instead, she was on the ground before she could react, Astro above her, looking down at her with mischief painted on his face. How could she have fallen for such a simple trick? She gave out a laugh however, completely enamored by the male above her as he spoke. The words that were spoken, sparked happiness and a flutter of her heart. Her back legs were pressed against his belly, but she knew he wasn’t budging, so instead, she let them fall and relax, looking up at him as he spoke of never letting her go. That’s all she wanted, and had wanted. Someone to care for her, someone that she could travel with, have fun with, and not be judged for her outer appearance and her heritage. And if anyone knew better than to do that, it would be Astro.
She craned her neck, giving an affectionate lick on his cheek where there was none of the glitter-like substance, and gave a smile. “And I’m never going anywhere without you by my side,” She murmurs, chocolate brown eyes staring up at red hues as she took the time to just take in the moment, to feel loved, and to feel happiness, something that only happened ever so often, but had been a daily occurrence since she had met Astro. “How about we discover where all these other cave tunnels lead to?” She said, not pushing up on him, but they still had a bunch of places to explore, little hideouts to find where they could escape and hide from the others and have time for themselves.

Spirit had her hopes up when the Shale had asked uncertainly to join them. The alabaster female was about to reply enthusiastically: "Yes, of course!", but decided it was best to wait for the others' opinions. Maybe we should call Astro over... He was their leader after all...Before she knew it, Achak opened his maw: "Um Shale-Don't you uh remember? That other pack already offered us a spot." The cream-fella seemed to have other plans. A little befuddled, Spirit debated over whether this was true, or just a way to get both of them out of here. Oh no, I hope we don't appear as scary... Without warning, Achak squeezed his way between the charcoal-furred male and them. Spirit sucked in a breath, taking in his tensed body. "Back up we gotta think this through." came his soft voice toward his friend as they both retreated to a corner. Although Achak's back was turned and Spirit couldn't read his expressions, she thought she heard an overwhelming sense of worry in him. This only confirmed her suspicions, and she herself began to feel nervous. She looked to Kebechet, then to Knox, wondering what their reactions were. No matter how hard Spirit tried to listen with her pricked ears, she couldn't;t pick-up the quiet exchange going between the duo in the distance. They were too far away. All of a sudden, Achak's muscles seemed to relax. Right on cue, Shale swooped his head over back at them, apologising: "Never mind, then. I suppose this is goodbye, but it was nice to meet you all." "It was nice meeting you two too," Spirit smiled back, a tinge of sadness lingering in her voice. And with that, the two went on their way. She let out a little crestfallen sigh. As soon as it had arrived, the possibility of two new additions to their group vanished. Now, what should she do? "Well, I guess I'll head off for a little hunt on my own. Some practice would be good to hone my skills," Spirit announced to the two that were still with her. With a smile and a polite nod toward Knox and Kebechet, Spirit excused herself and headed toward the plain fields. Silver eyes caught a glimpse of a bird-looking silhouette standing in the distance. Well that would be a tricky one. Crouching down low, she approached the feathery creature stealthily. She wouldn't stray too far away... Or would she?Exit: Somnus Borders @achak Shale @knox @kebechet OOC: Spirit's gonna get lost while hunting, and afterwards be heading off to her future.

Time was passing in the valley, and most everyone was thriving, finding new lives to live and new friends and forming hopefully long-lasting relationships. Tenzin loved watching everyone growing together, forming a mix-n-match group similar to a pack. He was sad when someone would leave, but he knew that life was a tree with many offshoots and paths to take, and whatever path anyone took was their choice to make. When others found the group, just as alone and afraid as many of them had been when they decided to travel here during the brunt of winter, and saw them blossom within the caring community.
But everything wasn't as kosher for Tenzin. The russet male was still scrawny, as thin as ever, his cheeks gaunt and fur matted in some areas. He hadn't gotten any better at catching food for himself, and he always felt bad sending others out for him or taking portions of other's food. If it was his destiny to perish early, then it just meant he would be returning to the earth to continue the cycle of life a bit faster than others. It also meant he may see his family before being reincarnated. Who knows? Maybe he had attained Nirvana without realizing it and his consciousness would be taken on to a higher form. If not, it would be his duty to start the process again and try harder.
It was time to go out and try again to hunt. He stood on weak legs and wandered off from the group, sniffing his way around. He caught the scent of something stinking and followed it in good faith, but what he found was a bear cave with a half-eaten corpse inside it. Unfortunately, he wouldn't be strong enough to run quickly enough and certainly wasn't in fighting shape, and he would be taken care of quickly. His last thoughts were of his family, and his friends, hoping that they would continue a message of peace and kindness to each other and nature. He was content with being food for this predator, or if it left him for the scavengers. It was the circle of life, after all.
OOC: Welp there goes the boy. Had to cut down on characters and Tenzin was on the chopping block. If you're interested, Wiggles is also up for adoption! If he gets to a point where no one wants him I will keep him and Jun will most likely be killed off as well.

“Not like you owe us anything, Ten. If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t have known about the storm,” Nooné replies, looking kindly at their blind peer. “You really saved our butts back there!” Looking back at Aenemys as they were walking, he says to her: “Ladies first?”Aenemys gives him a smile back and a small lift of her chin. “I suppose I could comply with that,” she says. Leading on, she directs herself back towards where the rogues tended to cluster together, a sort of rogue common area if you would. Along the way, she looks over at the brown male at her side, remembering how just a few days ago it felt like she had no friends here and now she had someone inviting her to hunt a breakfast. No complaints from her. “So, not to get too deep or anything on our morning stroll,” she says with a laugh, “What do you think will happen to this rogue group?” Nooné

For a moment, she melted in his paws, content to candidly match his gaze. There was no worry, no anxiousness, nothing resembling the restlessness she’d once had during their first encounter. Now, Astoria was entirely at ease, unafraid to be tender and silly and vulnerable. Cautiously, she craned her snout upwards, gently kissing his cheek. Warmth stirred within him. Friendship had a gentle, amiable warmth attached to it, something that settled, spread, and gradually filled one from within, but this was far beyond that. It was a stringent, fervent stirring of sorts; a sharp, adamant heat that flooded every cavity more completely than he could have ever anticipated. It was intoxicating. Instinctively, he kissed her cheek, moving to press his muzzle against her auburn one, pausing to linger a moment. “And I’m never going anywhere without you by my side,” She whispered, staring into his eyes with a languid, dreamy longingness. “Oh?” He teased, his voice hitching playfully. “That so?” “How about we discover where all these other cave tunnels lead to?” She quietly suggested, making no move to rise. For once, Astro felt no burning desire to explore the enigmatic, to investigate the inexplicable and unknown. Now, this moment before him was the loveliest thing he had ever happened upon, throughout all the course of his travels, and he’d no intentions of giving it up. Why not take some time to savor and bask in it. “Why hurry?” He chuckled, playfully nudging her nose. “We’ve got some time to kill. Let’s just enjoy it. Maybe get to know each other better,” he tacked on, as he nipped the base of her neck, smiling shyly. Tagged: AstoriaInsert Time Skip
