"Yeah!" The female said with a tail wag. "You're better off not trying to grab those by yourself...they're pretty difficult and unlikely to catch." She said to Hemlock as he gazed at the bird. "What are those things?" Hemlock asked watching the bird disappear further down the coastline. "What would you like to hunt?" Hemlock asked, he looked over at the water, he didn't know much about this strange place, but he assumed fish would be there. Fish would be rather hard to catch considering they were used to land and fish were fast, very fast. He wondered how wolves survived out here, there wasn't much to eat besides the fish that washed ashore, which had a chance of making them sick. It would also get old eating fish all the time, he had fish once before when he still lived with his captors. They sat on a large body of water like this one, on a sort of motorized raft. They had thrown string attached to sticks into the water, they sat there for hours and accumulated a large stack of fish. They threw him some, it was very bony and he almost choked on the small bones a few times.

As Apollo walked out he heard Scenery hobble behind them, her breath ragged. He had completely forgotten about Scen's missing leg. When they paused she quickly caught up to them. "If we head down to the shore, we might find a stream that leads to the ocean. Then we can just follow it back to a less salty area." He thought about this, salt water was gross and not the safest to drink, but if they tried looking for a fresh water source it might take them days, and they didn't have that long. Apollo let out a slight involuntary sigh "We'll do that, we don't have time to find a clean river, but it'll do for now." He turned to Flame "Do you have any ideas, Flame?" he asked her, he didn't think she'd come up with a much better idea, but he wanted her to feel valued and give her a vote. If he only listened to Scen it could cause them unneeded bickering. If they were fast enough they could start digging out a den and he could mark the territory around the den, for now, it wouldn't be that large of a territory, but it was just to keep them safe from other wolves. Apollo wished they had another wolf with them, that way they could have split up having two search for water and two dig out the den and mark the territory. He didn't want anyone traveling alone in unclaimed territory, once they made their presence known and showed wolves they were not a force to be reckoned with, then they could split up, but for now he didn't want to let anyone out of his sight for long. "Also, before I forget, I don't want any of you wandering too far alone. If another wolf or two finds one of us alone were as good as dead." He told them.

"What are those things?" He asked. She tilted her head a little in confusion. Didn't he know what a seagull was...? But then she realized. Hemlock seemed to be very unfamiliar with the area. Maybe he'd never been on a coastline like this one before. Maybe he'd been a mountain wolf for a very long time, and never ventured away, only seeing smaller bodies of water like lakes and ponds. "Those are seagulls. They can be pretty mean when you're threatening to take away their food...they're mostly scavengers." Iris said quietly.
"Look," She started, as she spotted a small crab in the sand. She creeped past Hemlock and made her way over very slowly. Her ears perked up when the crab scurried under a rock just before she put her paws down. She laid down in front of the rock, waiting for the small crab to pop up again. When it did, she quickly reached to grab it, but again, and beat her to getting underneath the sand. The female huffed, but waited again. This time, she successfully caught it in her jaws, hearing the tiny crunch.
Iris got up, shaking off a bit as plenty of sand stuck to her underside. She went back to Hemlock and set the crab down. "They can be a little tricky, but you have to be patient." She told him.

"Those are seagulls. They can be pretty mean when you're threatening to take away their food...they're mostly scavengers." Hemlock wrinkled his nose. For some reason, the birds really grossed him out."Look," She said, a small red creature scuttled about the beach. Hemlock cocked his head at it. He had never seen anything like it in his life. Iris went to catch it, as it dug its way under the sand she waited then caught it in her jaws. Hemlock poked it with his muzzle. He felt it's hard shell and looked back up at Iris. "How do you eat it?" He asked curiously unless she had an easy method of breaking the shell it seemed they wouldn't be worth catching as pulling it apart would take more energy than it would produce by them eating it.
OOC Sorry it's a bit short, low on muse and kinda tired.

"How do you eat it?" Hemlock asked. Iris smiled a little. "It's a crab. They live on the land and in the sea. They make little burrows in the sand to live in, and also to hide in from predators." She said softly, as he poked it with his muzzle, which she couldn't help but giggle a little at.
She laid down and put a paw on one side of the crab, while she tore off the shell of the crab. It took a little effort, but she managed. She spit it out to her side, licking her chaps. "It's not too hard." There was still a bit of the shell left, so she nudged it to Hemlock and looked up at him.
"Here, you try." She offered, standing back up again and wagging her tail. She planned to catch at least two more afterwards, as one was definitely not going to feed the two of them. The crabs on this beach were a decent size, but wouldn't fill a wolf's hungry appetite, even for a lone wolf. It would need at least a second one.
OOC: No worries!

@flamingice The She Rogue .:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ :.
"No, I think it'd be in our best interest if you ate. You're wounded and need your energy, we'll catch something on the way so don't worry." Apollo said and Fire nodded, her head turned to watch him walk out from the brush. "Let's go then," Apollo spoke and then turned to ask a question, "Which way should we go? We'll need to find a river..." His voice trailed off and Fire padded after him out of the brush before looking to Scenery. "If we head down to the shore, we might find a stream that leads to the ocean. Then we can just follow it back to a less salty area." She spoke and fire smiled at the she wolf, she hadn't thought of that. It seemed to be a good plan. "We'll do that, we don't have time to find a clean river, but it'll do for now." Apollo agreed with Scenery but then turned to Fire, much to her surprise. "Do you have any ideas, Flame?" He asked and Fire shook her head. "Nope, none for now. I think Scenery's Idea was good." Fire spoke softly and then Apollo spoke again. "Also, before I forget, I don't want any of you wandering too far alone. If another wolf or two finds one of us alone were as good as dead." His voice held warning and Fire understood. "Okay" was all she said while taking it into thought. It was better for all of them if they stayed as a group at all times.

"It's a crab. They live on the land and in the sea. They make little burrows in the sand to live in, and also to hide in from predators." Iris told him, she laughed as Hemlock poked it curiously. They were strange looking creatures, he had never seen anything like it in his life."It's not too hard." she told him nudging it towards hemlock. "Here, you try." He grabbed it in his jaw and cracked the rest of the shell. He dropped it onto the ground and took a chunk out of it. The flesh was soft and he easily ate it. Iris seemed friendlier than most wolves, she offered him food and greeted him with a smile. He smiled at her warmly wagging his tail.

She smiled as he wagged his tail. She was really glad he wasn't scary like how she'd always had the male wolf image burned in her brain. Iris nodded as he cracked the shell and ate the meat. "There you go."
The female looked around for at least a few more crabs. She eventually found around four more, which took her a little while to kill each of them. At least six minutes per crab. After she killed one, she'd bring it back to Hemlock and set it down in a little pile for the two of them. When it started getting darker, and the crabs had all seemed to disappeared, she returned back to her companion and sat down in front of him. She helped herself and took one of the crabs to eat.
OOC: Don't worry about it, I understand (: Mine is super short, too. I'm currently in a rush xD

Hemlock followed around Iris as she jumped around catching crabs, he often pounced at the sand missing the crab as it burrowed away. He got snapped at by one of the large claws at his first attempt to catch one. He grabbed one in his jaws and cracked it open eating some of the meat out of it. Iris on the other hand, had made a pile of crabs and had begun to help herself. Hemlock flopped down beside the stack of crabs and ate some of them. Later Hemlock began to grow drowsy and fell asleep next to the pile of shells. His stomach was fuller than it had ever been since he entered the wild. He felt comfortable and safe for the first time in his life. He yawned and got comfortable in the sand.

Iris watched Hemlock from the corner of her eye, giggling a little to herself as he not only pounced on plain sand, but also got nipped by a crab. She smiled softly. Hemlock was really funny.
She didn't eat many crabs, since she wasn't exactly starving. She let Hemlock finish the rest of their small pile, as he seemed much hungrier than she was. She didn't even notice when he fell asleep. Not until a little while later, when it was oddly quiet and she looked at the male. She got up and buried the empty shells in a small hole in the sand, and went back to Hemlock. When it got a lot darker, she lied down a little bit away from him. The small female stared out onto the horizon for a period of time, until her eyelids became heavy. She allowed herself to doze off at the sound of the waves crashing in front of her, and a few crickets off in the distance.

A large marbled pelted form hopped from one rock to another, perhaps it was seen as childish but he didn't care - after all, the male was pretty big. Snow white paws became wet and slightly muddy as the mixture of land and sand clung to the fur. It was a pretty sight, never in his life had Ashi seen the ocean nor a beach. His rich and deep, pure golden eyes took in the surroundings as the waved crashed along rocks - washing up small silvery fish and pebbles, the occasional shell here and there. The new territory was rather odd to him, seemingly used to snow filled with scents. Yet here were the smells of few wolves and salt. At least here, a cocky wolf wouldn't patrol the lands like she owned it. However, there were safety in numbers. Ashi took a minute to seat himself on a dried rock not too far from the coastal edge. Perhaps finding a group would be a good thing, yet Ashi wasn't too fond of taking orders, and when he did something, he liked to do it his way. In time maybe that would change about him but for now, the male would keep up his bad-boy stubborn wall. His yellow-tinted metal eyes watched with content as the waves pulled in and out of the sand, perhaps he should eat soon? Whatever the case, he was perfectly calm here. Yet he knew soon enough he'd probably get bored and move on.

An unfamiliar smell broke Iris from her slumber. She reluctantly cracked her eyelids open and sat up. She quickly looked to see if Hemlock was okay. Thankfully, he was. He was still asleep in the sand a little bit away from her. So what had she smelled? She glanced around her to try and see something, but the smell only became more prominent. She discovered it was the smell of a wolf. She grew a little worried as she stood up. She made a mental note to herself for where Hemlock was in case she, for whatever reason, got lost. Iris walked the beach for not very long, until she stumbled upon quite a large wolf. Her ears perked up as she made out the dark silhouette ahead of her. She huffed to herself, forcing herself to gain enough confidence to go up to the stranger. She looked back to where Hemlock was - still asleep. She turned back to the figure and made her way over hesitantly. "Uh, hello.." The female said slowly, lowering her head a little to try to get a better look, which she did not receive. She figured she must have looked like she was fearful, which she was. However, she didn't want to show it. If she did, she would be labeled weak and if the wolf she has now encountered is dangerous, they would have the upper paw. OOC: Ashi, you don't have to reply to this if you don't want to xD I saw your post and, assuming you were looking to roleplay, figured I might add you to the role-play I'm currently in @ashi @hemlock

As the waves rippled through the star-reflected night sky, Ashi let out a sigh. It had been a while since he had moved which was very much unlike him, usually the male could never sit still. Yet the scenery was something to behold, the ocean mirroring everything above it. A marbled tail started to flicker out of pure habit of not being able to stay still for too long. Golden eyes squinted slightly, to see where dark water ended and where dark sky started, the meeting point too far for Ash's comprehension. It made him wonder, if under the blanket of mirrored stars lay beasts of the ocean, then did the sky hold beings also? Perhaps his family also lay up there... Now that maybe was a little bit too childish of thought. Must be the drowsiness. He thought bitterly with a small shake of his head.
A scent wafted through the sea's breeze and hit Ashi's nose tenderly. Golden eyes flickered to a form, smaller than his own, as it approached him. He couldn't quite see the features but the voice that spoke had given away the gender anyway. "Uh, hello.." she said slowly. With the dimly lit moonlight, Ash could faintly make out the outer edged of white fur. It was odd to think a female would be up at this time of night but Ashi had never been one to be overly hostile.
"Hi there." he said casually with a smile, whether she could see it or not, he didn't know. His tone was friendly as the silhouette of his tail shifted side to side slightly. Perhaps this she-wolf wouldn't be as so arrogant as the one he had last met.

Iris found herself dozing off every few seconds. However, she was snapped out of it when the tide came up a little, and the cold water touched her paws. The small female yipped a little and jumped away from it. Her ears went down a little in shyness, seeing as she basically resembled a pup in front of the male. "Hi there." He said to her. She turned her head and glanced at the still dark silhouette. "What are you doing out here so late...? Iris asked him softly, quirking her head a little curiously. She figured Hemlock was still asleep back where they were before, since he seemed pretty tired in the first place. OOC: Sorry, I know I'm lacking in this post...I didn't have much imagination as of right now @ashi @hemlock

Hemlock woke up covered in water. Iris was gone where? Who knows? The water on him turned to mud on one side and it matted his fur. It was the middle of the night had she left him? Hemlock looked around to see two silhouettes he was confused, who was that? Hemlock walked slowly and kept his body close to the ground as he slowly until he was close enough to hear the two of them talking. "What are you doing out here so late...?" He heard Iris ask. He was also curious what this wolf was doing, it was the middle of the night most wolves were asleep not up just wandering around. For a few moments, Hemlock contemplated just walking back to where he was sleeping and dealing with him later because he wasn't Hemlock's problem there was no need for him to eavesdrop or anything. "Iris, who is this?" Hemlock asked tiredly looking at Iris then the other wolf.
