Dorsey Hiccup
Dorsey blushed when the pretty female smiled at him and introduced herself as Cana. How kind she was. The other, rust highlighted male introduced himself as Rubeus. But the mottled she-wolf did not. She instead snarled at him and his ears immediately were pinned to his neck and his body lowered slightly. Normally, had his sister done that, he would have snarled back and stood up for himself or thought it was an invitation to play. But this was not his sister or anyone he even knew the name of.
In his moment of submission, three more wolves approached. They introduced themselves as Ashi, Iris and Hemlock. And then another wolf came along calling herself Kato. Dorsey straightened up a little when he noticed how pretty she was, with her pelt being a bright gilded orange.
The liver nosed male smiled at each genuinely but he didn't feel like staying. Sure, these wolves were nice and all but perhaps he could find other wolves. Dorsey Hiccup smile at each and quietly stuttered out "I-i-it's b-be-en nice t-t-to-to meet yuh-you al-all." He bobbed his head gratefully at Rubeus and Cana gave an awkward little smile and a wag of his tail to the rest. then he turned without another word and trotted off in his joyful and bouncy manner.

Ashi gave a bright smile to everyone. He knew that these group of wolves would be great friends. Hopefully companions he could learn to trust and even share a good time with. Ash would like that indeed very much. With a swish of the tail and smile as friendly as ever, the huge male turned in the direction of where he had last seen clean, fresh, un-salted water. "Shall we continue on then?" he said, grin evident as ever as he pushed on forward. If the group decided not to follow then at least he'd show Iris and Hemlock what they desired.
.: Short Time Skip :. Although his time with the group was short, Ash was pleased to have meet them. The rogue group had members leave already but it was alright. Perhaps he'd even meet some of them soon - he truly hoped so. He lightly bumped the remaining rogues with his nose - a small goodbye. "Take care of yourselves." He said simply before taking his leave. Maybe some of them would come with him. Who knows? Ash was sure that they'd be just fine though. But this life wasn't for him. He wanted to settle down within a safe space. Somewhere he'd call home. So with that, he gave one last sad smile before continuing on his way. .: Exit to Somnus border :.

Blaez
The small male moved a bit forward and then back distracting himself from the events making tracks in the sand, sooner or later after mercilessly playing in the sandy ground the small Mexican tundra wolf stood up and looked at the group. He had overheard, "Shall we continue on then?".
Short time skip
The male had been sitting down in the time that had past and it seemed as if the dark larger male with the group was saying his goodbyes and opened his mouth and spoke calmly, "Take care of yourselves." The dark large male nudged others noses and left the area. The small Mexican tundra male decided he didn't want to wait anymore he wanted to follow them, he was tired of where he led himself so he followed them. I wonder where he is going? The small male thought for a moment before herding after the other male. A moment later, after the larger dark male left the area the small Mexican wolf started to move his joints, he then quickly started to trot toward the path the male went. Slowly through the small males head he sprinted past the other rogues not knowing how they were to react to another unknown rogue.

Iris watched as two other wolves joined their expanding group. One, a female - Kato. The wolf was a tanish brown color with a few hints of black. The other, a male, who seemed to be nameless, was a mix of brown, black, and white. Kato seemed relatively friendly, while the male was silent and kind of off to the side.
In a sadly quick space of time, one by one the wolves parted from the group that was just formed. First Nece, then Kato, Dorsey Hiccup, the still nameless male, and even Ashi, which saddened her the most. She hoped at least he'd stick around, although she seemed to be mistaken. She was unsure of wether or not she was supposed to follow. He didn't say for her to come along, maybe he didn't want to. Her ears went down wistfully as she was left with just herself, Hemlock, who was totally mute, Cana, and Rubues - two strangers.
With no Ashi standing in front of her she was fully exposed as she looked at the two with a startled look, sitting down with an anxious and conflicting feeling in her stomach.

Iris sighed to herself, as nobody spoke up for quite some time, including herself. She gave the small group of strangers one last glance before heading off with a sad, lowered head. She was alone again, just as she had been for most of her life.
The female sighed to herself. She needed to find a place to sleep, something to eat, and something to drink. She was growing needy by the minute...She hadn't eaten in a bit of time, and she felt her stomach growling. She glanced around in hopes of finding anything worth while.

DOKAI it is better to be friendless than to have enemies.
A week. A week, it had been, with no sight of other wolves. The most refreshing week of Dokai's life. One where he could be free of the aggression shown to him by strangers, and the fight over prey. Although the time had been spent catching only rabbits and voles down by the stream, he remained content.
His experience heading down to the coast was rockier, literally - the sharp pebbles hidden among the grass had worn through the skin on the pads of his paws, leaving him in pain as he followed the less than enjoyable trail. The coastline couldn't have come sooner; the amber in his eyes glistening as he approached the beach. He was surprised to spot others dotted across the sand, but from the distance away that he was, he couldn't make out their activities. Rather than involve himself with the business of others - and potentially hostile wolves, at that - Dokai veered off onto a path that led down a rockier slope. His paws would never forgive him, but his anxiety relieved himself along with the pain as he began to pad over the sand.
Sand. A new texture, He almost jumped at the feeling off it - it engulfed his digits, leaving him confused and struggling to make his way through the sinking sand he had just jumped into. He began to sink the more he moved, and his panic grew. Having lived in a windy area his entire life, he'd never had to experience any of this. Thankfully for him, Dokai was able to pull himself away from the treacherous liquid-sand mix he had been invited into. Shaking his fur free of any remaining sand, he began to trot towards the shoreline. He had visited the ocean only in his imagination, but it seemed far less rough and shaky than he'd imagined it. Waves made their way towards him, slowly but surely washing up at his feet. He resisted the urge to yelp, letting the playful side of himself emerge from its shell. No other wolf would be watching him jump around the cold shore. He would do as he liked.
He growled jokily, leaping over the tide as it ran past him. He was met with confusion when he felt it pull him down into the water. At first, he yelped as he'd wanted to do earlier and frantically swam for the shore, pulling himself up just before another wave arrived. Although the waves were not nearly strong enough to pull in a strong male such as he, but he'd unwittingly allowed the sand to collapse underneath him. Despite the chilly waters, he found himself not minding the feeling much, and took it upon himself to stride confidently into the water. He began to kick off with his legs, feeling the water pulse around him. He had never truly swam, as he'd never needed to. But Dokai now knew he'd do this more often.
Feeling almost as free as he'd felt during the rest of that week, he continued to enjoy the ocean. Perhaps he'd be visiting this place more often.

Saltwater. The pungent scent, ever-growing, made her nose itch, and drew her down from the rocky highlands and towards the coastline. Tail poised in the air behind her, the she-wolf carefully she maneuvered down the grade, avoiding as many obstacles as she could.
She'd been to the ocean but once in her lifetime, an unexpected detour on a trip with her mother back to their territory. She'd crashed through the slippery sand with a woof of delight, only to halt abruptly, stock still and maw agape at the marvel of the sea. The young wolf had never seen something so massive; even the lakes she'd encountered were landlocked, their cloudy shores just barely visible on the other side. But here--just like back then--the waves stretched on endlessly, undulating like a living, breathing mass...
At last, her paws hit the sand, settling in as it gave into the weight of her steps. It wasn't as warm as she was expecting--certainly not the scorching touch of midsummer she'd experienced before. But the seasons were changing, after all. The water would be colder, and any big game would surely be retreating inland. What to do, what to do.
She inhaled deeply, the salty perfume washing over her tongue, a slight breeze beginning to billow through her fur. She pushed off the sand and started to walk north, parallel to the shore and just shy of the licking waves. Her ears twitched at the whistling wind, and she mulled over her options. She could continue walking the shore. Scavenge, search for mussels or crabs, if they were out and about. Fish in the shallows, maybe--but a sudden plosh and a yelp yanked her right out of her thoughts. Her eyes and ears snapped forward to the source of the sound: just a few meters ahead, a wolf's head dove under the surface of the water. She started forward a few steps on instinct, but soon paused in her tracks. The pale wolf seemed to regain their standing, and dove straight back into the water with an air of excitement, like there was nothing to it.
She watched for a minute longer, then snorted, slightly amused. "Having fun out there, are you?" she called out, announcing her presence. She stood still for a few moments, giving a low, friendly wave of her tail, then continued down the shore. Thalia hardly expected the stranger to come out of the water for chit-chat, but she didn't want to startle them with her appearance., when they returned to shore. Besides, it was comforting to see another of her kind after so long. Still, she kept her senses open, alert. If they eventually approached she would stop and further assess; otherwise, she continued on her search.

Stanley "The Little Things In Life Can Create So Much Happiness."
The richly hued teddy bear strolled merrily down the beach, enjoying the feeling of gritty sand under his paws though not so much the salty zephyr pushing gusts of sand into his face, forcing him to shield his sensitive eyes constantly. Stan's beautiful gaze looked to his left, out at the dazzling ocean. It certainly wasn't the prettiest sight to most but he found it amazing seeing as this was his first time ever being close to saltwater before. Some might have called the raging gray-blue waves ugly and yet he found the color gem like, a gorgeous feat of nature to love and remember. He had seen a lake once and remembered loving it. Boggy shores with mushy earth squishing under his paws, water lapping comfortably at the soggy shore with the occasional large push before it would fall back to that quiet rhythm. The grasses would rattle, shudder and sigh and falling asleep to those sounds was rooted firmly in his memory. Stanley exhaled softly, closing his eyes to more clearly picture his pleasant memories.
A loud roar followed by a second, a whole train of crashing waves colliding with the beach and pulled mounds of the sopped beach back into the ocean. This place didn't have the noises he loved, the smells he found comforting, the weather he could predict or the bright scenery he so adored. And yet, he found this place so beautiful. Perhaps it was his open mind or maybe his brain sought the beauty that could be found around him but he found that everywhere he had went recently he liked or even loved.
As the wind shifted slightly as to push the smell of salt straight into his face, Stanley stopped, his figure jolting to a rapid halt. Blinking, his black button nose twitched unstoppably as he thought for a moment, through the thick and overlying smells of fish and salt, he could smell two wolves not far off. The wind wasn't helping him much but he swore he found that scent of his fellow canines, looming there, hidden under the overwhelming smells of the beach. Rose and gold eyes widened in surprise as Stan burst into a giddy lope, expression bright and jovial. Hurrying forward, he rounded a corner of stone that protruded from the towering bluffs, boulders piled around it in an ominous fashion. The stone was all a cold and unwelcoming gray, as if it was a wall or fortress built to protect the world inside. The water lapped at the base of the stone stack, warning Stanley of the coming tide that was sure to sweep his only path and gateway to these wolves away and leave him huddled in the clutch of cold and crab infested rocks.
Gazing at the water swirling around the stones and pulling at the gravely sand aimlessly, he noticed the stones that protruded from the sand only to be left glistening in the mild light by the tide. It was so interesting, the amount of power water had when it was used. It could shape land, push and pull anything effortlessly and still never tired. He only hoped it wouldn't do anything to him because he would have to step in it. The teddy bear took a tentative step forward, placing his paw tenderly in the liquid. It was pleasantly cool and despite not smelling the best, the feeling it provided was something different. Stanley placed all four paws in the water, barely feeling the strength of the tide as it's force strengthened and weakened around his figure.
Stan splashed merrily through the water, kicking up his heels a bit as he did so as he enjoyed playing around. I wonder... Stanley cast his gaze upon the water as it splashed at his stilled paws. Leaning down, he could smell the horribly pushing salt scent paining his nostrils. Still, he managed to gather his courage as he reminded himself that he was out here for adventure. Stan opened his maw, salmon tongue unfurled from his mouth as he reached to taste the liquid. As soon as the salt found his taste buds, his face crinkled and he pulled his tongue from the water. It was overwhelming and disgusting which faded slowly away as he tried to spit the gross saltwater out onto the beach. "Having fun out there, are you?" The teddy bear came to a stand-still, looking around for the faint voice which seemed to be coming from further up the beach. Right, that was why he had come this way anyways.
With soaked paws and his mouth lolled open in slight exhaustion from the fun he had been having, he didn't quite look like any serious adult wolf. Than again, his not quite filled in frame would suggest that Stan still had a good amount of growing to do. He tried to straighten up and looked presentable but the relaxed and happy tone of the voice he had heard earlier assured him that these wolves wouldn't expect him to act too much like a serious adult. As he grew closer, he found his happiness rising. These wolves were also playing in the surf, a good sign that they might get along well. "Good afternoon to you both!" Stanley spoke with a chipper tone as he came upon the pair. His smile widened, bouncy jog slowing to a stop though he continued the constant sway of his pepper and ginger tail. "Would you mind if I joined in on the fun?" The teddy bear asked with head tilted, face sweet and beaming though his eyes continued to hold the flickering gaze of his shyer side.

DOKAI it is better to be friendless than to have enemies.
Dokai's fur stood on end as a voice drew him from his fun. He froze, and then spun around, his ears pricking up in shock. Turning around, he spotted a female wolf stood only feet away from him, whose statement and posture didn't appear to be aggressive. Nevertheless, he was wary, and lowered his head. He didn't have time to respond before she began to make her way down the shoreline. He had to be courageous, had to speak to another before he went crazy. This was his chance, although he wouldn't have put himself in this situation.
"Yeah, I, er...I guess." He raised his voice slightly to meet her distance, shifting his weight between his paws. Having not interacted with another for some time, he felt even more exposed than usual. His instinct told him to relax, seeing that this wolf appeared to be non-threatening, but his hackles remained raised.
Without time to process everything again, Dokai spotted another trotting towards him across the sand. His muscles tensed again.
"Good afternoon to you both!" Dokai was shocked at how open this wolf seemed to be. "Mind if I join in the fun?" Dokai could almost feel his anxiety erupting from his body. He decided not to reply, wanting to allow the she-wolf to answer first.

"Yeah, I, er...I guess." As soon as the wolf's voice reached her, the she-wolf turned in her tracks, her ears perked and attentive. Of the rogues she'd encountered before, not too many had been eager for conversation. A hunt, perhaps, but otherwise they were too busy or too wary to spare more than a few words before parting ways.
"You guess?" she asked, her brow raised. But she kept her voice light. The male looked a little... on edge, if his posture told her anything. Honestly she was a bit surprised he'd responded at all. But she thought nothing bad of it, and offered a smile, putting a few steps forward. "Well, hopefully you won't--"
"Good afternoon to you both!"
Pausing again, Thalia swung her head to see the wolf approaching them. His paws were soaked and he was moving quite a bit, tail swaying even as he stood still, as if he might vibrate out of his fur at any moment. She laughed softly to herself, easing up what little tension remained from his abrupt entrance. The ginger wolf was just so sunny; it wasn't something she saw often. "Would you mind if I joined in on the fun?"
She tossed a quick glance at other male before shrugging her shoulders. "I don't see why not!" she replied, her own tail beginning to wiggle a bit before she looked at the waves. It did look exciting--she could take a break from the hunting for the moment. Perhaps the fish will find me. "I'm Thalia, by the way," she spoke, offering her name to the pair. "Pleasure to meet you both."

Stanley "The Little Things In Life Can Create So Much Happiness."
Stanley shifted uncomfortably as his presence was met with anxious silence from the sandy male who seemed to tense and retract at the teddy bear's introduction. The female was instead the first to speak, seemingly more relaxed with Stan around. "I don't see why not!" Her melodic vocals made Stanley's own slightly shy smile lighten some and he raised his dropped head to show his more relaxed state. A rose and gold gaze glanced anxiously toward the still silent male in hopes that he might show a sign of acceptance as well. "I'm Thalia, by the way, pleasure to meet you both." Stan's beaming face fell back on the female and he nodded in agreement with her last statement, a happy grin perched upon his cream trimmed lips. "Thalia," He copied the name and the sounds. "That's a lovely name." He smiled toward her, tangerine tail swinging like a pendulum behind him. "My name's Stanley." His voice was filled with slightly suppressed happiness as to not make either of them uncomfortable.
He glanced toward the male and lowered his ears and tail slightly, smile falling to a small twitch of the lips in an apologetic way. "I'm really very sorry if I surprised you or made you anxious." Stan removed his gaze, eyes flickering over the paws of each wolf around him before finding the sandy tan male again. "Sometimes I guess I can be little... too friendly, if thats even a thing." A slight, airy chuckle escaped his lips as he tried to lift the other's mood. A light swing of his tail was added as he gave a tentative smile in his fellow Lupine's direction, hoping to see him relax some or give a little nod in response. He hated to think that he might have pushed this poor wolf out of his comfort zone by just being around.

Iris' ears perked up as she could hear new wolves off in the distance. However, she was no longer in a social mood...not that she was, often, anyway, being the shy little thing she was. She picked herself up and wandered off down the beach in search of a new adventure. Maybe in her new surroundings she'll find a set of new friends...or even a mate. But, she doubted those very much. It seemed welcoming wolves were thinning out lately. Oh well, whatever awaits her can't be too far ahead...right?

Water. Spotting the vast shoreline in the distance, Accalia picked up her pace. With a grumbling stomach, she loped toward the sparkling water, enticed by the prospect of prey. As the silver she-wolf drew nearer, she wrinkled her nose at the strong scent. What was that? It didn't smell like any lake or river she'd ever encountered. The pungent smell nearly drove her away, but the slight undertone of fish drove her on.
Her ivory visage became marred with a grimace as she set foot on the sand and promptly began to lose the grace that usually typified her movement to the shifting, slippery sand. Nostrils full of salty sea air, Accalia neglected to take note of any other wolves in the area as she headed, walking with extra care on the sand, toward the water. The dame suppressed a shiver as she waded into the water. Head bent down to lap up some water, but quickly jerked back up in surprise when said water did not taste like normal water. Accalia spat it out and shook her head, repulsed by the salty, fishy taste.
Disgusted, the lady waded out of the water and shook her fur out, but her disgruntlement quickly faded to curiosity when some kind of tan insect shimmied past her and darted into a hole. Accalia cocked her head to the side and pursued the strange creature, her tail wagging with amused interest. To her surprise, she spotted another one of these strange insects crouched nearby. Nose to the ground, she approached the thing, watching it with hungry intent from the tops of her eyes. Within proximity of it, Accalia nudged the alien creature with her nose, and was promptly met with a stern pinch to her muzzle. The she-wolf yelped and jumped back, but with her gray-flecked banner still waving behind her, she pranced toward the thing once more and scooped it up in her jaws exultantly.

Stanley "The Little Things In Life Can Create So Much Happiness."
Stanley sighed, defeated from his last run-in with other wolves. He had still been left alone after that encounter, despite his best efforts to make a good first impression with them. One had been kind, one not so much and apparently both hadn't been riveted enough to stay a while. The teddy bear lifted his head some, rose and gold eyes watching the waves lap gently at the slicked sand. The sound of the water was nice, a relaxing rhythm to rely on in the present. Of course, Stan wouldn't be able to stay on the beach much longer. As he shuffled through varying thoughts, his gaze drifted along the sky line. Even filled with waning light, he could still pick out the outlines of storm clouds blowing in from the sea. Cold wind ruffled his fluffy pelt, giving a chilly reminder that things wouldn't remain quite as peaceful here.
Sucking in a breath, the pretty male clambered to his socked paws, angling his red-gold crown away from the crawling waves and more inland, toward the shimmering waves of wind-swept grass. It would get better; he would finally get some actual companions. With a final, longing glance cast toward the beautiful ocean and sparkling shore, Stanley turned away and trotted on with high hopes.

Watching the creature in her maw, the girl's crossed eyes must've looked rather comical. The irritable thing flailed its pincers about in the air, trying desperately to grab a part of its assailant, and made the ivory girl who detained it more nervous by the minute. Powerful jaws clamped down, shattering the shell into pieces. A strange, fishy taste filled her mouth, and she spat the shell fragments into the sand. The wolf nosed through the pieces, attempting to pick the meat from the shell, but too unfamiliar with the creature to gain any substantial nutrients.
Once she'd finished picking apart the creature, Accalia decided that there was nothing left for her on this strange shoreline. She gave one last, confused look toward the salty water, then began to pick her way through the sand, back where she'd come.
