Ashi gave a flattering smile as the silhouette of the female's ears reacted in shyness, he was probably intimidating as hell but inside - the stubborn childish wolf was a huge push over. He slightly tilted his head as the female spoke again, "What are you doing out here so late...?" Good question... What was he doing exactly?! Ash didn't quite understand himself so the handsome male shrugged with a laugh "Sightseeing." he joked, although half true. In the dark of the night he really couldn't see much apart from the dark outline of features and objects. Yet in the pitch blackness of the sea he could view everything above him - like a double copy of the sky. He was about to ask the female a retaliating question when another form padded up to the two. "Iris, who is this?" the male asked. Ashi's shimmering golden eyes switched between the two forms, mates perhaps? Siblings? Ashi was as clueless as the next lupine. With a teasing smile, he decided to find out in probably the most second-hand embarrassing way. "Ah sorry, didn't realize I was intruding on a couple of lovers' night~" his voice reflecting the tease in his grin, definitely implying the worst. Oh how childish he was. "My name is Ashi~"

She could make out a slight smile on the large wolf's face, which puzzled Iris. What was he smiling about? She hadn't realized she said something...smile worthy. But she let it go. It wasn't a huge deal, anyway. "Sight seeing." The male responded to her question. She furrowed her eyebrows. Sight seeing? Wasn't it a bit late for sight seeing? Or at least she thought. However, she figured it'd be rude to judge. Maybe he could see better in the dark, or perhaps he preferred the darkness over sunlight.
Iris noticed he looked confused when Hemlock came over. She was about to explain, when he interrupted. "Ah sorry, didn't realize I was intruding on a couple of lovers' night~" He teased. Iris' eyes widened as she quickly shook her head. "It's not like that!" She huffed defensively. She wouldn't dare look at Hemlock after the other males' false, and quite embarrassing, accusation.

Ashi let a flattering grin spread across his handsome features at the females reaction. She shook her head with her eyes wide. "It's not like that!" she huffed and Ash snickered. His smirk never leaving and pretty evident in his voice. His golden eyes once again looked towards the crashing waves of the ocean, a peaceful serenity to the otherwise casual atmosphere. Perhaps the large male shouldn't be teasing strangers he just met, yet to him - it was the best way to break the ice. Besides, the two lupines before him didn't look too intimidating. Perhaps it was due to both of them being quite the bit smaller than the male himself. "It's not like that hm~?" His voice still teasing as he turned back to the pair, perhaps even a little flirty. "Sorry, didn't quite catch your names?" he spoke to the two again, flashing another grin as he cocked his head to the side slightly.

Iris raised her eyebrows as yet another grin spread across the male's face. She figured at this point, this was all a teasing game to him. It was quite aggravating, but oddly amusing at the same time. She watched him carefully, studying his form. He was bigger than both Hemlock and herself, which was a bit intimidating. However, his playful persona took down the intimidation level by quite a bit. It would be much higher if he'd been angry or simply staring them dead in the eyes, which, thankfully, he wasn't. She hoped to never encounter a wolf like that in her near future.
"Yes, it's not like that. We only met about a day ago." The snow white female muttered out. I'm Iris. This is Hemlock." She spoke for her friendly companion, since he seemed a little on the quiet side of the encounter.

"We'll do that, we don't have time to find a clean river, but it'll do for now." Scenery tilted her head. Why didn't they have time? Was he worried the sun would drop below the horizon before they did everything that needed to be done. "Do you have any ideas, Flame?" The tripod turned her head to the small she-wolf as she began to speak. "Nope, none for now. I think Scenery's Idea was good." Scenery smiled softly, glad that she was helping her group with her suggestion. "Also, before I forget, I don't want any of you wandering too far alone. If another wolf or two finds one of us alone were as good as dead." This made Scen a little upset and she didn't accept it as Fire did. She may have three legs and she knew that it made her weak but she was still strong enough to protect herself she felt. It was like he was saying she wasn't strong enough to live alone.
A small snarl rippled through her chest and throat and her lips lifted from her ivories to show her dislike of the statement. "I'm sorry to disagree but wouldn't it be easier to complete these tasks if we separated? Besides," Scenery shot a glance at Fire. "Fire is injured and I'd rather she rested while we work. I can still dig so I could watch her while she rests and I work on the den and Apollo, being the most able, could look for a fresh water source." Scenery tried to stand taller to appear more confident but her asymmetrical body meant that she tipped to her left.

Ashi's pure golden eyes watched as the female eyed him up cautiously. He didn't blame her, he was pretty huge, not to mention a stranger. Oh well, he supposed. It wasn't like he would stay here forever. He had places to go and things to see afterall. Metallic orbs flickered to the snow white form then to the smaller one next to hers. Alabaster pelts were always Ashi's favorites, he had to admit, it reminded him of home up on the snowy mountains - before everything had went wrong and he had to leave. Not that he'd ever admit it to anyone, no, the male never got close enough to another for such secrecy. Another small smirk was cracked as the female spoke once more. "Yes, it's not like that. We only met about a day ago." she muttered. Interesting, they seemed pretty close. "I'm Iris. This is Hemlock." introducing the two lupines. "Pleasure to meet you." he said with a polite dip of the head. By this point, the lack of sleep was starting to catch up the male as he let out a small yawn, using a large paw to gently swipe at his attractive face - an attempt to rid himself of the sleep temptation. "So what are you both doing around here?" he casually said, voice calm as his head turned towards the crashing waves of the ocean. He quite liked it here, it was peaceful - yet it wasn't what he was looking for. It was a little odd for a wolf to stay in a territory such as this, so of course his curiosity peaked at the two lupines.

The lupine looked at the two others, tilting her head a little when she thought she smelled something, but it was only the salt from the ocean. She looked towards the culprit of the smell, staring at the vast blue body of water beside her, watching as several seagulls flew overtop, looking for their food for the day. The sun had come up a bit more, which helped her see much better. She was never great in the dark She realized she had zoned out and was only brought back to reality when Ashi asked her a question. "Huh?" Iris blinked a few times and shook her head, snapping out of her sudden loss of thought. "Oh. Um, well I was wandering, and I suppose so was Hemlock. Then we ended up sticking together." She mumbled quietly. Iris excused herself and went over to the ocean. She tilted her head at the water. She'd never tasted ocean water before, although she knew it contained salt, she was still curious. She had grown thirsty and was hoping the salty taste wouldn't be too bad, and at least some what drinkable. However, she was terribly mistaken when she dipped her head low and lapped up some, quickly spitting it out back into the ocean. "Yuck!" She squealed, moving back from the ocean. She shook her head with her tongue out. It was overwhelmingly salty, and a mix of other tastes she preferred to keep unknown. OOC: Noted! @ashi @hemlock

A small grin played at Ashi's lips as the female blanked out for a moment. It was dare he say, cute? "Huh?" she questioned, blinking multiple times before shaking the confusion off. "Oh. Um, well I was wandering, and I suppose so was Hemlock. Then we ended up sticking together." she spoke fast as Ashi just chuckled. It seemed the female was worlds away at that point as she excused herself to head over to the oceans edge. The vast amounts of water too assassinated him, but in a much different way it seemed. Golden eyes drifted to the smaller form of the newly announced Hemlock and he gave a soft smile to the younger. Turning back to Iris in curiousity, she seemed to be utterly enchanted by the soft waves as she dipped down. The brute form of Ashi thought that, perhaps, the female had found something yet winced a little bit as he saw a sliver of tongue fleck out to taste the water. The male was taught when he was younger to only drink from ponds, lakes, and streams - never the ocean, then again, where Ashi called home was shrouded in ice and snow. But perhaps the female never got that lesson, as she spat the salted water out and squealed a "Yuck!". Ashi grinned before letting a small laugh escape his lips. "You shouldn't be drinking that, you know..." He called out, although a little in vein now that it had been to late.

He kept grinning at her! Iris tried her best to read the male's facial expression and figure out why, but she ended up back where she started - just a grin. She never realized how difficult it was to read some wolves. Her siblings were always very easy going and fun, never hiding their secrets or feelings. Same with her parents. The thought of them saddened her a little but she tried not to show it. She still didn't want to seem weak.
Her face felt warm as Ashi spoke, "You shouldn't be drinking that, you know..." he said with a small laugh. Embarrassed, Iris moves away from her new enemy, the pesky and disgusting tasting water. Her right ear twitched a little, "I-I know...I was just really...really thirsty..." She stuttered. She should've known not to drink the water. It was common sense that it was salty. She just wanted a drink, was all. However, now she'd have to find somewhere else to satisfy her needs. 'Stupid.' she thought to herself.

Rubeus "Courage isn’t having the strength to go on - it is going on when you don’t have strength." The beastly wolf stumbled down onto the shore-line, excitement bubbling in his stomach as a smile grew across his cheeks. He hadn't seen a beach or coastline in what seemed like ages, Rubeus's hot amber eyes trailing along the shore watching the gentle waves lap against the rocks. He tilted his head to the side as he noticed that there weren't any wolves nearby--or he was just oblivious to their presence--as he took a step forward through the damp sand. Rubeus raised his head, closing his eyes as he inhaled the refreshing scent of brine and took in the distant cooing of seagulls.
He found himself trotting down to the shoreline, a deep chuckle was to be heard as he stepped atop a rock only to be met by the welcoming spray of the ocean. Rubeus shook out his thick fur, his tail swaying gently as he awaited the next wave to crash upon the rocks and spray him with water yet again. It was the small and simple pleasures such as this that the gentle-brute really enjoyed. It was a shame that he currently couldn't share this with anyone else.

Nece - Rogue Female
Tag(s): @rubeus OOC: Sorry she's so awkward. ;x;
Nece crept down the rocky territory, her scarred form slipping elegantly between rocks, her toughened paw pads hitting the stones silently. Though, each time a bit of water slapped her exposed fur, she cringed. As she walked, each scar that crept through her body slowly became more and more obvious, especially the one containing foreign symbols - numbers - that ran up her left leg. Abuse was written across her, though her joyful facade hid it. Humming a little tune as she walked, she recited the same words in her head. 'Left paw, right paw, left paw, right paw.' For some reason, the ritual calmed her ever running nerves, reminding her that even walking deserved concentration. It wasn't always such an easy task. Frowning, she observed the form of another wolf, he seemed to be oblivious to her painfully obvious presence, and instead stood, basking in the salty spray of the sea - something Nece herself held great fear for. What if she never smelled normal again?
Daring to approach the nonthreatening male, she let her paws slap the ground with faint noise, as to alert him that she was near, to avoid possibly spooking the male. She didn't know what to say, she was paralyzed. How does one approach a wolf? Shit. Nece stammered on her words, clearing growing quite flustered, and frustrated with herself. "U-Uh, um.." She winced, offering a weak, embarrassed smile. She averted her gaze, staring at her shuffling paws. "Hello, stranger..I'm Nece.." She offered the rather awkward introduction, her face burning. The bitch almost wanted to sink into the ground, allow it to eat her up, stop this painful encounter with the random wolf. Why had she bothered approaching? It took all of the rather pretty chocolate hued female's strength not to add a 'I'm sorry.' to the end of her speech, and proceed to run away. But, she couldn't help lowering herself slightly in his presence. Said stranger was so large, and obviously strong. Nece had quite the strong build herself, but couldn't help the daunting feeling of being smaller, and so vulnerable.

Amber eyes fluttered open to the sight of a fiery sun reflecting on the surface of cool, crystalline blue waves. Cana lifted her head from her paws and gazed out, content to enjoy the scene. She didn’t remember falling asleep, but she didn’t mind; the rest was refreshing, and she appreciated the energy that came with it.
With a smile adorning her lips, the she-wolf turned her head to greet her companion. Immediately, her face fell. Rylo was nowhere to be found, the male seeming to have vanished into thin air. Cana lifted her muzzle to the breeze, but found not scent aside from the nose-tickling one of salt. A sigh escaped from the tawny female’s lips. She had enjoyed the time she had spent with the male, and now he had gone. A question tugged at the back of her mind. Why did he go?
The female shrugged it off, trying to fight back tears. The thoughts were persistent, however. Was it her fault? Had she pushed him away? Had she done something wrong? A frustrated, pained whimper escaped her, despite her attempts to hold her sadness back. She’d lost so much. Now, the first friend she’d made in a long time had vanished. Just like her parents, just like her brothers. Perhaps left to remain a memory to haunt her mind.
Finally, Cana decided that she needed something to do besides wallow in her thoughts. She rose to her paws, her feet sliding slightly on the slick pebbles and sand beneath them as she took her first few steps. She picked her way carefully to the shore, padding into the shallows. The water swept gently over her paws, rising up to her ankles and no further. For the time being, the tawny female stood there, her eyes slipping shut, letting the feeling over the water and the sun flow into her thoughts and cleanse her mind, if only slightly, for the time being.
After a short while, the she-wolf’s amber orbs drifted open once more and she let them rove over the coast. In the distance, she caught sight of a rather large wolf standing along the shore. After a moment of hesitance, Cana decided that company would be appreciated; she could at least greet the newcomer. She slipped from the water and instead began to trail along its edge, padding toward the distant wolf.
As she came closer, she came to realize that the newcomer was in fact quite the giant. He was a decent amount taller than she herself, with thick, multihued fur to make him appear all the larger. Another figure caught Cana’s eye as she approached; a small, chocolatey female. Even from Cana’s short distance away, the she-wolf could easily be considered scrawny; aside from her small stature, she was quite clearly underweight.
Cana reached the pair just as the small female seemed to cease speaking to the male. Cana picked up on a few words as she came to a stop near them. "Hello, stranger . . . I'm Nece . . . " The quiet, somewhat awkward introduction from the small she-wolf - now identified as Nece - danced in Cana’s ears and brought a smile to her lips. The genuine, friendly expression lit up her face, concealing the sadness still lingering in her eyes.
“Hello there,” the tawny female said softly, almost shyly, as she came to a stop. “I’m Cana. What brings the two of you here?”

Rubeus "Courage isn’t having the strength to go on - it is going on when you don’t have strength." It was the soft sound of connection between paw-pad and damp sand that caught Rubeus's attention, his large ears twitching at the sudden sound before he turned his head to see a much younger and definitely smaller female approaching. The gentle giant titled his head curiously, letting his gaze trace the strange scars and markings that dotted her body. This made him instantly question why anybody would want to hurt such a precious looking she-wolf.
"U-Uh, um.." the younger began, a stutter of incoherent nothingness was all that left her maw. Rubeus gave a warm and welcoming smile to this, lowering his posture ever so slightly in the hopes that it would calm the nervous girl even in the slightest. "Hello, stranger..I'm Nece.." It was her voice that gave an indication to this girl's internal nervousness and perhaps even awkwardness, the smaller wolf lowering herself slightly. Rubeus let a small frown cross his features as he stood down from his rock in an attempt to make himself look impossibly smaller. He didn't want her to feel intimidated in his presence, though he understood why she might've felt this way--his height be damned. He instead let a small and friendly chuckle crackle like thunder in his chest. "There's no need be afraid or nervous or anything, Nece. I'm Rubeus, it's a pleasure to meet ya'." His usually deep and baritone sounds had softened in an attempt to make himself seem even friendly and welcoming than he already was, another smile flickering across his face as he would await for Nece to respond or ease up a bit, however, another's appearance distracted his train of thought.
“Hello there, I’m Cana. What brings the two of you here?” Rubeus shifted his molten coloured gaze to rest upon the smaller timber and cream mix that approached, his grin becoming wider as he noticed that she seemed to be non-threatening. "Look, a friend approaches," he whispers to Nece, hoping that his smooth and comforting words would help the battered female to perhaps feel a little less tense about the situation and the she-wolf who introduced herself as Cana. Rubeus then lifted his form again, standing tall with his massive size like a tower. However, this would-be intimidating stance was broken by the goofy grin that crossed his face as he addressed Cana. "Greetings! The name is Rubeus, nice to meet ya'." He began with a similar greeting to the one he had used with Nece.
"I'm only out here making a quick detour to see the coastline before heading Westward. I hear there are packs o'er in that direction, thought I might try my luck with joining one of 'em." Rubeus answered honestly, nodding his head as if confirming his story before he would listen to Nece's reasoning for finding herself at the coast. Rubi would listen to the smaller she-wolf's answer if she decided to give one, a look of encouragement plastered on his face as he let his rump sink to the ground in a sitting position, ecstatic to finally find himself some company even if it was only temporary.

Nece - Rogue Female
Tag(s): @rubeus , @horsecrazy78
Standing numbly, the shivering beauty hardly dared to bring her dark optics upwards. The handsome stranger didn't seem to have the intention of hurting, unlike so many. Nece cringed at the stories behind her scars. Her scars. Once again, her white and chocolate face rushed with embarrassment, and she proceeded to tuck her left leg behind her right, hiding the oddly shaped scars that ran vertically up her leg. The four symbols seemed to shape out "4746". For know, she refused to think of her past, and, much like her scars, opted to hide it, sending a gentle smile up to her once fearful expression. Her eyes lingered around the unnamed male's feet, before drawing up to his muscled shoulders, running along his chest, then back down to his paws. The small ritual was anything but unusual, looking over the stranger to find strengths, weaknesses, insecurities. But, all that stumbled along her line of vision was strengths. She couldn't help but be entranced by his wonderfully colored fur, and healthy frame. Her eyes were slightly wide as she looked upon him, wonder floating across her expression. Blinking, she had only just noticed he had lowered himself as she had spoke, and her paws twitched, slightly touched by the small expression. Though, to others it may seem nothing, her world crumbled, her smile growing wider, and more genuine. Quickly, her eye-line touched his, pure joy filtering through it only momentarily.
"There's no need be afraid or nervous or anything, Nece. I'm Rubeus, it's a pleasure to meet ya'." His deep voice sent her to jump slightly, spooking her. But, her smile stayed, her head flopping to the side. But, her joyful facade was still hiding her internal struggle. Still embarrassed, her ears twitched awkwardly, her chin digging into her chest, her eyes constantly going from him, to the quickly approaching figure. Said figure brought Nece to widen her eyes, another healthy form, another beautiful form - everything she wasn't. She was hardly scarred, unlike herself, with lovely ginger, cream, and brown hued fur. "Look, a friend approaches," Nece nodded in reply, her grin still plastered upon her face. Though she barely knew the male, she found herself edging towards him, away from the newly arrived female - only for now. Like she did with the apparently named 'Rubeus', she drew her eyes up and down her lovely form, and once again, couldn't find a obvious weakness, unlike when she could in her fighting rink.
But, the stranger was smiling, bringing Nece's muscles to loosen. When had she flexed them? “I’m Cana. What brings the two of you here?” Nece smiled back shyly in return, her oak, chocolate, and cream plumage waving behind her. Turning her head, she listened quietly as Rubeus' deep voice rumbled in her right ear, addressing her as to what she was doing. Her tail wagged slightly faster, as the bitch realized that his plans were remarkably similar to her own.
"Oh?" Nece chirped, her melodic voice angling towards both wolves. "I was thinking about the same thing, I suppose it's better then being alone.." She laughed quietly, though it sounded slightly forced. She cringed internally. Looking to Cana, she couldn't help but letting an inquiry slip from between her lips. "What about you, Cana?" She smiled, before looking once again to the handsome male. "Uhm, I think there's one," She gestured with her nose towards the currently battling Lubrusca pack - though she had only caught the faint whiff of wolf scent. Her words were ignorant of the devastation they were currently facing. "Over there."

Dorsey Hiccup
Dorsey hopped along in a skipping motion, partially day dreaming but still focused enough to make sure he was aware of what was around him. There were scents of wolves here and there that popped up around him and he would turn his head and halt but he would never go toward them. The grasses licked at his legs as he passed through and his mind spun in the fantasy that his older sister was there with him. He missed her, she had been a friend as well as a mentor and a family member. But he couldn't think of that now, he would go and find her one day maybe, but now was the time to explore and learn. On his own.
Dorsey's wandering brought him to the shore, feeling the warmth that came from the golden sand under his pink paws. The ocean smelled of salt and Dorsey inhaled the scent deeply, a beaming smile spread across his face. For a moment, he merely stood there by the water as the tide rolled in and out, darkening the sand as it went.
The dusty male opened his lilac and violet eyes, leaving his warm spot to continue down shore. His large velvet covered ears lifted at the sound of a soft female voice and he ventured forward to see the figures come into his field of vision. The three were interestingly colored and they seemed like friends perhaps? Dorsey didn't know much about relationships so he just assumed that they were close. He dropped lower to the sand and approached the three more slowly, ears perked to anything they said.
As he came up to them, he straightened himself up and smiled kindly. "Huh-hi." Dorsey wagged his tail in a friendly manner but he dropped his eyes to the male's paws, still smiling sweetly. "Mu-mu-mu-y-my na-n-name i--is D-d-d-d-or-orsey Hic-c-c-cup." Dorsey's horrible stutter presented itself with pride and Dorsey pulled his lips tight to show how embarrassed of his speech impediment he was. His eyes flickered around the lower bodies of the others, never once gliding further up then their elbows.
