Anubis looked to her father as she smirked, eyes darting to Varuna as he had gotten his answer wrong. She was more than capable of answering each question with a sure response, knowing that their father would expect nothing but the best from them. With Varuna having gotten his question wrong, she questioned why her brother had said such a thing. Was he not paying attention during Mother’s teachings? Or was he simply being overly arrogant and thinking he knew the answer when in reality, he did not? She wouldn’t have this question answered, nor did she care or find it necessary to have it answered. Her father barked orders, and she moved her form over towards Imset, flicking her tail as her fur brushed up against her sister as she watched Ky stride forward. She didn’t care what was going to happen to her brother, she held no capacity for such feelings of love and protection. The only one she was sworn to protect and care for was Imset, even if she would struggle to do so every single day of her life, Anubis would fulfill her duty. Everything was interrupted however, by the approaching of the Mortiul Alpha and his brother. She rolled her eyes, seeing as he always interrupted at the most inconvenient times. But, she would approach alongside Imset as she listened to what was being said. Carmine eyes glanced over the band of wolves that had appeared in their common grounds. It was common to receive Mortiul visits, as her father worked rather closely with Adramalech on battle plans for their taking of the lands that lay beyond the mountains. She had only heard small tales of what was to come, but she knew that blood would be shed, and she would be participating as one of Ignasia’s key components. Her ears perked at the sound of a tournament. She looked to the black beast that stood in front of her, intrigued to say the least. They would be battling those half-wits known as Beelzebub’s children. Their mother had abandoned the pack, and with her their will to work and be successful went as well it seemed. She would never have tried that with her mother and father, but Beelzebub was quite possibly the worst wolf to look for a father figure in. She’d keep that to herself however, as she wouldn’t want to anger Ky’s best friend. Looking towards the little bundle of furs, she narrowed her eyes. Were these the rats that Vivaldi had birthed? They were the exact opposite of each other, eye colors matching the others fur, almost to signify they were siblings, as nothing else matched besides their parents. They were quite young, and this was the first she believed anyone but Vivaldi was seeing them. She didn’t quite care for the little whelps and instead turned back to her siblings, looking to each of them and then to her father as he spoke. They were to be participating tonight, and her jaw was already aching to lock around the useless necks of Beelzebub’s offspring. She followed along with her sister and brother to the outskirts of the commons, a ways away from the hulking mass of Cayden whom was laying on the ground, Maleah nowhere in sight. She wondered where the she-wolf was, but didn’t concern herself with her former nanny for too long. Cayden was loyal to Koga, and would keep Maleah here for her father. Although, Maleah would never have ideas of vanishing from the pack. Her sister asked if they would have any challenging opponents tonight and Anubis scoffed, looking towards her sister with a shake of her head. “If they really wanted to live and put up a fight, they’d have been useful by now,” She growled looking towards her sister. “All I’m hoping for is hearing their pitiful squeals as I rip them from limb to limb,” She said, before getting into position to spar with her siblings. -Time Skip: Nightfall- Anubis watched with one eye open as her sister paced within the den, paws hitting the ground with a certain anxiousness, awaiting the fight that was to come. Along Anubis’ muzzle was a large scratch, one she had obtained from sparring with Imset. She had become to arrogant and let herself be marked with failure, but she hadn’t let it happen again, and she was more than prepared for the battles that were to come. They wouldn’t prove to be a challenge like Imset had, but they were still going to try and put up a display for their father to think of sparing them, if they thought he would. Her ears flicked, and annoyance coursed through her as she finally stood, standing in Imset’s way to get her to stop pacing throughout the den. Her gaze drifted to Varuna, whether asleep or not, she wondered how her brother would fare in the battles. If he lost he would lose his own life, and Imset or herself would have to kill the wolf who won. Not that she particularly cared. Blood was to be shed, and that’s all she craved. Another realization came to her as she stood there, waiting patiently for her father to finally say they were to go. Tiny. The sister that she had all but forgotten about. With her lacking presence, and Anubis’ want to train and become better, the idea of the fourth offspring of her parents was pushed to the furthest corner of her mind, not resurfacing until just now. She wondered if the tiny pup she had offered to leave behind would be surviving and thriving under the care of Vivaldi. Surely she would never be better than Imset and Anubis, but she could at least try. Mother would be disappointed if the runt of her litter just decided to call it quits and die. Flicking her tail, her crimson gaze traveled to her sister before once more focusing on the outside world that lay in front of her, waiting for a command to leave. @koga Alpha Adramalech Apprentice Leyak @aamon Apprentice Imset Apprentice Varuna @beelzebub Beta Ky

Bi-colored eyes gaze softly at the small being tucked away in the crook of his body, gaze locking with hers for what felt like eternity before she tore her beautiful neon green eyes away. As soon as her gaze left, he wanted to recapture it. It had taken him quite a bit of time to get her to finally be able to look him in the eye, but he wouldn’t push her anymore, knowing that it took time and patience with her to feel comfortable, and he would give her all his time if that was what she wanted, or needed. Her voice quivered as she spoke, his brows furrowing at her sudden nervousness. But what she said made his heart flutter in happiness, and he radiated that, feeling almost as if he were on cloud nine with what she had said. She just simply wanted to cuddle, and he would more than willingly comply with that. He let out a small, happy sigh as he let his head rest near hers, looking towards her. Admiring each and every feature that he could see. His head raised as he sensed a shift in the Common Grounds, bi-colored eyes looking towards the black wolf that entered along with a band of others. Mortiul. He wasn’t sure what they were here for, but Koga was talking with them. He didn’t bother listening in, as Koga would more than likely tell them what was going on, he simply wanted to spend his time curled around Maleah, enjoying the warmth that radiated at his side. The sound of wolves moving close to him had him lifting his head once more from its comfortable position to watch the trio of Koga’s children heading to the outskirts of the commons, taking on battle positions and sparring. He wondered if they would be fighting tonight, and he would only find out later on once he talked to Koga about it, for right now however, he was content about laying with Maleah. -Time Skip: Night- After he had been half asleep, Maleah had woken him and told him that it was time to head back into the commons. He had taken the time to ask Koga what Adramalech had spoken of, and it seemed there would be a tournament tonight. Everyone would be present to watch, and it would be a fight to the death between Koga’s children and Beelzebub’s children. Cayden had returned to his den, although feeling a tad cold without Maleah by his side. Waking from slumber, he appeared outside of his den, looking towards Maleah’s as he waited for the she-wolf to appear as well. Maleah

Alpha Adramalech of Mortiul | Adramalech listened to what Koga had to say in regards to his proposition. He seemed to like the idea of his children shedding blood, letting them know as they all had heard by now at least. They left, talking amongst themselves and heading out to spar. Adramalech wondered if how they would kill Beelzebub’s children, but he would find out soon enough. Another topic that he hadn’t addressed was brought up. The picking from Miyako’s litter. He had been promise a pup, something that he had not taken action on yet, because the pups were much too young to determine personalities, but Koga would mold the one he picked how Adramalech would like. His attention however, was taken to Koga agreeing that he would take the Ferus Salutary. He asked if he wanted him crippled and the black wolf shook his head. “No, I’d like for him to be in one piece. He will be a very important pawn in winning against Ferus, and I don’t want him being lame, limping around my commons healing wolves,” He said, looking towards his pups to make sure they were listening to the exchange. There was never any aggression between himself and Koga, and it would stay that way unless the other gave him a reason not to be courteous. He hoped that his sons would note this, and remember this type of interaction when they were talking with Koga’s children in the future.
“You’re allowed whatever territory you wish, so long as it isn’t all of it,” Adramalech chuckled a bit, although it was empty, no actual laughter fueled behind it as he looked towards the other with pitch black eyes. Turning his head to the rest of Koga’s pack, he found that there were wolves missing. The one that bore pups, her scent was not overly fresh in the commons like the others, and he had to wonder where she had run off to. “On the topic of Miyako’s litter,” He said, turning his head back to Koga. “I would like to make my pick tonight. I would like to see how each reacts to the tournament. From there, I will make my decision,” He said, looking towards the male with a small dip of his head. “Your children will be training, and I’ll need to let the rest of my pack know of the events tonight,” He said, looking towards the tawny male in front of him one last time before turning tail, flicking it for the others to follow him. The two little pups would do as they were told, or he would gladly show them why they should. But with their personalities already partially developed, he knew they would follow him without a word.
Looking towards his brother, he gave a harsh bark, interrupting his little conversation with Ky. Adramalech wasn’t sure what was between the two, but everytime they were together, he tended to not be able to find them. He would need his brother to be present as the Beta of the pack for the tournament, even if it were among those that already knew him. It was something formal in his eyes, and his brother would not be meddling in some dastardly business with the Beta of Ignasia. Moving, he barked back over his shoulder to Koga, offering one last sentence before leaving.
“See you tonight.”

Leyak followed his father obediently, not uttering a word as they traveled through the territory. His paws got stuck in the snow particularly easy, but he pushed forth, bounding forward behind his father as he made a path for himself and Aamon. He knew that his brother could do it himself, but Leyak was always going to be helping his brother in the most menial tasks, even if he hadn’t asked for it. It seemed that their small journey had come to an end, as what felt like days of walking finally halted them in a group of wolves, that although they were a foreign group to his small pup eyes, they held a familiar scent, one that had been throughout the territory. It seemed that this was Ignasia, the pack that dwelled underneath his father’s business partner’s - Koga and Marusya - reign. He looked around, seeing that they had no pups anywhere to be seen. He wondered if they would have any, the smallest ones being the ones that were currently bringing themselves to the side of ‘Koga’ as Adramalech addressed him. He looked over the male, seeing as he held no hostility to Leyak’s father, and vise versa. They were on good terms, which meant it was a better conversation. He had heard from Mother that wolves who weren’t on good terms treated each other with hatred, bearing teeth and claws towards each other if they were in the position that Koga and Adramalech were. He looked at the larger wolves that stood in front of him, them seeming to be the Imset and Anubis that were addressed. The other named Varuna was not far behind them it looked, and he wondered what they were training for earlier. They were just standing around; what kind of training was that? Surely battling was more than just standing there, talking amongst yourselves. But, he wouldn’t question them, as they had their own way of doing things, much like his father did. He didn’t take much interest in the conversation, having heard it when Adramalech was talking to Beelzebub. Although something did catch his attention. There was a litter lurking in Ignasia. That was what he had gotten out of Father’s conversation. He was intrigued by this. Were they the same age as him? Would he meet them? He wondered if they were going to be worth anything in the future, although right now, he wanted to try his paw at brainwashing the little things to do what he wanted. Maybe once he met them he would. Adramalech’s choice of picking from the litter was being made tonight, so maybe Leyak would have his chance to prove to his father what he was capable of, and Aamon could use them as his torture subject. The conversation was soon wrapped up, and his father was making strides towards their territory once more, barking for his uncle to come with. He trotted along behind, having given the wolves behind him one last look before he vanished behind his father. -Exit- @koga Apprentice Anubis Apprentice Imset Apprentice Varuna Alpha Adramalech @beelzebub @aamon

Great hell, this was boring. It was all so predictable. Koga's bratty daughters got it right, his idiot son got it wrong, and Ky got to scream and fuss all he wanted with Koga's permission. The maned wolf predicted that this would just continue, over and over, with Varuna ending up as a bloody pulp and Ky happily bumbling along and stinking up the whole commons with his refusal to take a damn bath. Thankfully, the other asshat that ran this territory rocked up, dragging a pair of monochrome beans and his crazed brother. Great. Now it was a party.
With gritted teeth from the cold, Q watched through squinted eyes from the edge of the commons as the pair of Alphas talked, as did the Betas. Probably about murder. Nothing new there. As they finished speaking and the emo Alpha began to take his leave, a howl, deep and brooding, faintly rang through the air. Definitely from the borders. With nothing better to do, and knowing that his presence was one of the most annoying things to nearly everyone in either pack, Quentin stood in a huff and began to travel towards the distant sound. Might as well have a little fun with the fresh meat they were bound to accept. Maybe even find a new plaything.

SITTER SILAS
Silas had been lounging on the outskirts of the party. He stayed within clear view of the pups but out of the way enough to not bother anyone else. He was learning how to be a fly on the all, insignificant to anyone, invisible within a group. He was so far okay with this. He was used to being center of attention but if he even got one moment of attention from Vivaldi he would rejoice forever. How this feeling can so easily sweep someone off their paws. Smiling inwardly, he looked on with a mildly intrigued expression.
A tournament? Did he hear that correctly? Silas chuckled lightly under his breath, tonight would be an interesting night indeed. Not missing a beat he rose to his paws and watched as Adramalech took his leave, his two sons following close behind. Silas soon followed as well, stepping in to keep their focus on their father whenever it seemed to shift away. He did not speak unless he was spoken to, and only by a superior. Even compared to Ronin, Silas still had a slightly higher perch. For now at least, the thought soured Silas' mood. Hopefully his Mistress would be pleased with his effort today, not once leaving the pups from his sight.

APPRENTICE VARUNA OF IGNASIA
The paw came down hard and fast, his senses getting knocked everywhere. His head had hit the ground, but he barely registered his body was down. His body went still as his mind went into survival mode, attempting to not further aggravate Ky. No further blows came and Varuna slowly looked around, his sister gave him a look that broke something inside him. Their mother always tried to teach them that they needed to look out for each other and that family was what had your back, but now they barely gave him a look of care. This is truly what he meant to them, nothing.
Rising up to his paws, he finally saw what distracted Ky and his father. Adramalech had blessed them with his presence, his body moving through the commons with ease and comfort. Varuna dipped his head in greeting before his father shooed them away. Head cocking to the side he moved off, looking to Ky to see what the brute would do. Of course Beel had accompanied Adra, his form moving less than graceful. His face was a sight to look at and he attempted to not puke at the mere destructing. The face gave him nightmares at first, now the sight was simply sickening.
Listening to his father as the meeting was drawn to a close, he heard that they would be battling the other pups of Mortiul. Head cocking to the side, did his mother know about this yet? Oh how she would love to watch Suki's brats be ripped to shreds, especially that Persephone bitch! She was a right, solid, disgusting c-
His head snapped to the side as he heard his sister's make a few comments. Perhaps this'll be the chance to show them as well that he is more than capable of their respect. Flicking a red tail he moved over to Ky who seemed to pin after Beel for a few moments. "Ky, may I request your training practice?" he asked him, his voice a little nervous to take such a leap on asking the crazy wolf for fighting practice. But if he was able to keep up with him, then he should be able to keep up with the runts.
Time Skip
Returning back to the den he had several more bruises and cuts than he did earlier. Ky thankfully didn't push him too hard and he still had enough spirit in him to fight for a few more. But a well deserved rest was needed now, a yawn and a stretch he curled himself into a tight ball before falling asleep. He was a light sleeper, easily disturbed. If they called he would wake immediately and step out into the commons.

| Is Notes: -Exit to The Caves- | All
| He had forgotten just how marvelous Beelie looked now. He had barely caught a glimpse of it when flesh still bubbled and steamed. Many moments he had mourned the loss of the possibility to see Zeebub's beautiful face when it was still dripping and raw. Now he was crusted over. Like the moon in the sky. Like the shell of a beetle. Like a scab. Which he was. Missing an ear - how lucky that He didn't mark that flesh on Beelie or that would be blasphemous! To lose a whole ear, it would just tear Ky to pieces. But more importantly, he couldn't see out of half his face. Ky was more than happy to fill in on that side of his body as his eyes, his ears, his mania. Beelie and Zeebub and Ky were the perfectest team.“Better, Ky,” Beelie began, his voice stooping lower and lower into territory the pair of them loved to meander, “Better than Somnus, better than any of the other we’ve had. A hunt tonight during the tournaments, just you and me. Round up all the strays on the borders like deer and feast. Torture the old, decrepit, helpless. Kill the loud-mouths and big-talkers. Breed any good bitches if we can find them and enslave the studs. Bring home anyone like us. No Adramalach, no Koga, just us, where we indulge every desire, every whim, and wreak havoc. Purge our land of mediocrity and return bathed in its blood. Your thoughts?” Ky could've died happy at just the thought of what Beelie was saying, Zeebub leaking into his voice as he continued the fantasy further. It had been so long since he had truly bathed in blood. Since his victims were so helpless that he could linger on each of them. Since he could spend quality time on each of them. He wanted to pop each joint to hear the gasp of their bodies and the screams of pain they would release. To hear them beg for mercy. Foolishly. Stupid of them to try. He wanted to cut them slowly with his claws, slowly with his fangs. Not lovingly like He did. Ky wasn't about to leave beautiful marks all over them. He wanted to let them bleed out from jagged scratches and deep gashes. A shiver slid down his spine as he merely thought of the delight he and Zeebub would have. "Yessss Zeebub," Ky hissed, black eyes going impossibly darker as blood lust clouded his judgement. A tick barreled through his chest, the high-pitched sound ringing over the commons. But the fantasies that his best friend could imprint on his brain were cut much too short. A bark from his much-less-appreciative-of-their-likeness twin drew Beelie away from him. A small whimper left the giant raven male at the loss of his friend, his frazzled brain sending him signals to bring tears to his eyes. Watching Adra lure Beelie away, Ky's rump hit the ashy snow. His frame leaned forwards, reaching to his friend without making any progress towards him. "Ky, may I request your training practice?" a voice slapped the emotion out of him. He whirled around, the desire to spill blood still hot on his mind. Training. That could spill some blood. Not enough. Never enough. Not in training. Narrowing his eyes, the Beta nodded mutely and followed the fiery imbecile over to where he wanted to train.
-Time skip-
Ky always enjoyed a fight. Always. Throughout the sparring he had kept His command in mind to do nothing lethal to any of His pups, but there was nothing there about inflicting any pain. Naturally, he let Varuna get some blows in. He would be killing Beelie's useless little brats tonight and he might as well spill some blood first. That and Ky wanted the pain. Needed the pain. Wanted to feel the warm blood slide through his fur and the sting of opened flesh. Now that Varuna had left him alone to go and prepare for the upcoming tournament, Ky was bored. Extremely. As the sun began to fall below the mountain, another hyena-like screech leaving him as he paced in front of His den. He wanted the tournament to start soon. The bodies that would soon come to lie in the commons would be a welcome snack. | Let Him guide us |

If Beelzebub had ever had a kindred spirit, he believed he found it in Ky. The two of them were crafted wonderfully, beautifully in the arts of creating absolute chaos. It was a shame that few wolves appreciate the dedication, the work, the craftsmanship poured into every plot, but that was for the best. After all, it gave the two of them reign to indulge, submerse themselves in the horrors they had created without any whimpering foreigners around to dim their delight. Ky’s approving hiss already revealed his answer, little need for any further exchange. Tonight, amidst every scream, cheer, and screech, they’d feast on what lay beyond the outskirts. Adramalach, perhaps sensing less than pleasing circumstances, summoned him to his side with a brash, stern bark. “Come now brother,” he groaned, taking his take to crack each coal-streaked foreleg. “Where’s your humor gone?” He stretched his jaws, popping the pitch joint in and out of its socket. “Learn to enjoy the simpler things again, hm? It’d suit you.” All in jest, of course, but there was a slight air of truth to the beta’s slick-tongued barb. Adramalach, ever since Ignasia had arrived, had seemingly forgotten the thrills of being absolutely bathed in an enemy’s blood, the joys of wrenching the wavering last breaths from one’s throat, the delights of destruction, of chaos, of mayhem — and had seemingly replaced them with plotting and planning and politics. Why, how absolutely horribly boring. No wonder he’d been so bad-tempered lately. He’d forgotten why they’d come to these horrid lands to start with. Hopefully, tonight’s upcoming tournament would tenderly remind him exactly why they’d even come at all. Exit To: Mortiul Commons Alpha Adramalech Beta Ky

Adramalech immediately dismissed any possibility of potentially crippling the Ferus salutary. How unfortunate. Their task would’ve been much easier if they were able to. “No, I’d like for him to be in one piece,” he explained, his eyes thoughtful. “He will be a very important pawn in winning against Ferus, and I don’t want him being lame, limping around my Commons healing wolves.” Koga dipped his head briefly in acknowledgement of this request. Compromising in a relationship as complex as theirs was essential to its success. Not matter how much he disagreed; he knew which battles were worth the fight. All this meant was that they’d use less conventional methods of capture; nothing too horribly troublesome. Besides, it’d be a beautiful opportunity for his three pups to begin experimenting. Creativity was such a flimsy, fickle sort of thing anyways. A chance to nurture it was just what they all had needed. Koga certainly hoped that his litter would show the gratitude their benefactor deserved, for providing not only one, but two opportunities to mold themselves into the wolves their future required. Such would yield valuable skills — and priceless insight and experience. He only hoped they’d use such to the fullest.
“You’re allowed whatever territory you wish, so long as it isn’t all of it,” Adramalech declared with a soft chuckle. This was pleasing enough to Koga. Once they’d actually laid siege to the area, he’d try and lay claim to fertile land. “On the topic of Miyako’s litter, I would like to make my pick tonight.” Adra declared as he scanned the Commons. “I would like to see how each reacts to the tournament. From there, I will make my decision.” A suitable request — it would reveal which pups were the hardest, which harbored bloodlust, and weed out any cowards from the bunch. “Of course.” The corners of his oaken maw twitched into a smile. “I feel I should warn you they’re all quite young. Perhaps a tad soft for my liking as well. Don’t be alarmed if you spot a tear or two. They’ll all come around in time. Four boys, three girls. Good blend of both.” With their business handled, Adramalech gathered his brood and party, bidding him and his children farewell till tonight. Koga tossed his tawny head over his shoulder, curiously watching, observing what exactly his litter would do with the news. When all three departed to conduct some sort of training, he felt his chest swell with pure, unabashed pride.
Time Skip To: Night Fall
The time had come for Ignasia to depart to the caves. Koga had spent his time conversing with the lord, lost in vivid, magnificent visions. They hadn’t been as easily decipherable as others, but soothing, calming slips of voices echoed, reverberating within rowan ears and soothing his troubled spirit. No matter what the outcome was for them tonight, he’d be at peace with it. Such was divine. “Anubis, Imset, Varuna,” he called out as he lifted himself from his perch. “Come.” One by one, his children gathered before him, bearing the marks of wolves that had dedicated themselves, devoting every spare moment to sparring, training, and practice. Each wore new cuts, scrapes, and scars with poise, already more alert, confident, and prepared. Koga couldn’t have been more pleased with the lot. While normally, he’d never coddle them with frivolous words of encouragement, he couldn’t hide his approval. “I’m very impressed. You all have done well not only in my eyes, but Adjetni’s as well. I’m sure you recall how he favors the disciplined. Tonight, may his blessings be upon you. What will happen will happen,” he decreed simply, unable to mask a smile. “However, I’ve a feeling tonight will yield a more than favorable outcome.”
With that, he tilted his head back in a howl, allowing his litter the opportunity to join him in summoning their pack. Once the remaining wolves had gathered, he lowered his muzzle and began addressing them. “Tonight,” he began. “We travel to the cave tunnels to celebrate with our allies the ascension of two noble litters. Mine and Beelzebub’s,” he clarified. “Tonight will determine which pups have earned their right to adulthood and will best fill their role. We, as a pack, will watch from the shadows, and honor whatever decision fate bestows upon us. Such is destiny. Cayden, Maleah, kindly remain at Marusya’s side. Ky, remain alert and ready for my commands. In a short while, the she-wolf Miyako and her litter will be sent for to be divided and share the feast, as is custom. Let us give praise, and remember to honor our allies. Let us depart.”

Time Skip: Nightfall
The ivory female’s day had been beyond uneventful - but who was to say what the night would bring? Koga and Marusya had spent much of their day conspiring with the Mortiul leaders, back and forth between the two common grounds. The Ignasia camp itself, however, had held little interest; the pups had trained as they typically did, but little else went on at all. Psyche’s hours had been idle, rosy eyes glazed as they roved pass after pass over the commons with hardly any direct focus. The sun’s hazy path through the smoky sky had seemed impossibly long. The morning, of course, had brought its share of entertainment. Quentin had been less than pleased to see the alabaster she-wolf upon her cheerful arrival, meeting her bright smile with a rather unpleasant scowl. Psyche relished in getting beneath the male’s skin - as the brute seemed to be the only creature who had ever stared right through her and snapped right back, so satisfaction had settled over her even as the bastard swept toward her, towering over her as he sneered, "It would have been much better if someone hadn't decided that they'd be thirsty so early in the morning and come greet me like we were old chums."
The female had smiled sweetly at the unveiled insult, smirking up from beneath her eyelashes as he peeled himself from her side and stalked furiously away. With a voice oversaturated with honeyed sweetness, she called at his retreating form, “Personally, I think it might be even better if you pulled that stick from your ass. Maybe then you’d actually make some friends instead of brooding by yourself day in and day out.” She knew he wouldn’t be listening, and nor would he care - but saying the words was satisfying anyhow. Aside from that, she had kept to herself throughout the day. That being said, as the stars began to peek through the watery light of dusk, a howl rang out through the camp. Immediately, Psyche shot to her paws from where she had lounged in the ashy maw of her den, ears flicking toward the source of the sound. Beneath the pale beginnings of moonlight, Koga stood ringed by his children, summoning the pack. The ivory female, a mere wraith in the ever-lengthening shadows, eagerly acknowledged the call and slipped through the graying world toward her alpha. As she arrived, the prophet’s voice rang out, “Tonight, we travel to the cave tunnels to celebrate with our allies the ascension of two noble litters. Mine and Beelzebub’s. Tonight will determine which pups have earned their right to adulthood and will best fill their role. Let us depart.”‘Earned their right to adulthood’ - is that what the alphas had been so intently discussing throughout the day? Psyche’s body tensed with interest, as well as concern. She crept along with her packmates, sticking close to Marusya though she had not been mandated to as Maleah had. She would be at her friend’s side as her children faced their fates - if her dear mistress would allow it.

cicatricum refertam pulchritudo “ Beside her ear, she felt a large volume of air escape the male she pressed herself against. She just narrowly avoided flinching as Cayden's head came to rest near hers. Her tiny stature must make the giant practically fold in half as he wrapped his frame around her. A sliver of guilt shot through her that she had almost shied away from him - the one protecting her in a blanket of warmth.Voices from the relatively close by center of the commons stirred the she-wolf who was almost falling asleep to the sound of steady breathing. Neon eyes snapped open as she struggled to place the voices. Paranoia had never truly left the she-wolf. She wanted to know who entered the common grounds. Were they friend or foe? New members? A rogue group ready to attack? Her frame stiffened subconsciously as her nose fought around the intoxicating scent of Cayden, trying to place the scents as familiar. She heard her Alpha's voice, calm as always, speaking in tones that seemed happy enough. The other voice she then presumed was Adramalech. The inky male was pleasant enough, she supposed. He hadn't caused her much strife. The second voice she heard on the other hand was the opposite. His grating tones, promising bloodshed and destruction wherever they traveled, met with the eccentric tones of the other Beta, a male just as twisted, but less useful with words. Beelzebub. A shaky breath left the scarred nanny. She hated that he still had this effect on her. She hated that he could merely enter the same airspace as her and she would need to fight against shutting down completely. Trying to distract her mind, the tiny Iberian wedged her eyes closed and lost herself within the plush alabaster blanket of Cayden's fur. Almost falling asleep, the nanny quickly nudged the near sleeping giant beside her awake, urging him to head back to the commons.-Timeskip to Night-Her den had never felt so cold or so spacious. She didn't actually have much room, but the tendrils of cold air that squeezed in beside her made her feel all the more lonesome. Her face burned every time she thought of the events of the morning, but no part of her could deny that she felt so safe wrapped in his embrace. She hadn't come back to the den instantly afterwards. Instead, the vigilant nanny stayed to watch as the pups she practically raised sparred. There was nothing new about that behaviour, they trained often under the guidance of their father and other superiors. What was concerning was that she had overheard Cayden (or maybe had eavesdropped) asking why the leaders of Mortiul had visited. A tournament. This was going to be all of the pups first experience with true combat, and Maleah would be lying if she said she wasn't worried for them. Beelzebub's pups were almost mysteries to her. She had seen them along the route to their new blessed lands, but surely their father had imparted some twisted knowledge onto them since then. If they followed through with the prospect of a fight to the death, then either M'Lady's beloved pups were going to make their first kill or end up nourishing the pack. She shivered to think about it, but luckily her thoughts were interrupted by the Prophet's howl. Squeezing out of the snowy mouth of her den as the sun began to fade, neon eyes scanned the commons for a hulking white frame. She wanted to make sure that he was awake too. Or maybe she just wanted to see him. For a brief second, they made eye contact; a smile grew onto the tiny she-wolf's face. Turning her full attention to Koga as she approached closer, Maleah momentarily placed her rump in the snow.“Tonight, we travel to the cave tunnels to celebrate with our allies the ascension of two noble litters. Mine and Beelzebub’s. Tonight will determine which pups have earned their right to adulthood and will best fill their role. Let us depart," his voice carried across the commons, authority and pride for his children obvious.
Flicking her gaze around, the scarred beauty couldn't see her Alphess currently in the commons. She had left earlier the day, so the nanny simply assumed that they would meet her in the caves. Her neon eyes strayed to Cayden once again. She and the cream Delta had spent a large portion of the day together, and now their Alpha had prescribed them to the evening as well. Not that she was complaining. Following after the oaken male and his children, Maleah only hoped that this tournament turned out well. It felt selfish to practically wish death on Beelzebub's children, but after when he'd done to her, and the help that her savior's pups had given her, it was the only option.

As Cayden waited patiently for the appearance of his love and his Alpha, he took the time to enjoy the silence that echoed throughout the commons. But it was soon interrupted by Ky’s hyena-like screech that echoed, and he flicked his ear in annoyance. That would surely wake the wolves in the commons, and if it hadn’t, well Cayden would wonder how they did it, and ask for some tips on how to ignore it. But Ky was a good signal for when Koga was about to show himself, and as the Alpha walked out, bi-colored eyes caught sight of Maleah too. Koga was speaking, so he didn’t immediately rush to the she-wolf, but instead listened to what he had to say. He was assigned once more with Maleah, and he gave Koga a thankful look. Koga had promised that they would be grouped together a lot, and since that had happened, Maleah had learned to trust him, and to allow him to get closer to her, resulting in earlier today which made the male happier that he ever had been.
Now he took the time to approach Maleah’s side, bringing himself to walk next to her as they headed to the caves, where they would watch the children fight for their right to adulthood. He had always been watching Koga and Marusya, seeing as they took Maleah from Beelzebub before he could do any real damage to the beautiful she-wolf. He was grateful that they had, the black Beta of Mortiul was definitely not deserving of Maleah, and he shuddered at the thought of what might have happened to her had Koga and Marusya not stepped in. Keeping his pace somewhat slow so as to not take the lead of the pack with his long strides, he took his mind off of the situation, and instead looked ahead, thinking of all the possibilities of tonight.

Ashen ears flexed backwards as her name echoed off the walls of their den, her impatient paws halting in their pacing as the time had finally come. Excitement hitched itself in her throat along with the breath of air that she had caught, ruby eyes gleaming as she wasted no time in exiting the den to meet their father outside, her tail quickly brushing against her twin as if urging her sister to stay by her side as she usually did. That voice that had begun to nestle into the back of her head purred with delight, as if it was just as eager as she was to fight the little whelps that Beelzebub had managed to produce. She tried not to grin at the slip of echoed voice that curled through her ears as she stepped outside and basked in the moonlight, impatience quickly driving her to sit in front of her father, awaiting his final words before they would begin the journey to the tournament. “I’m very impressed. You all have done well not only in my eyes, but Adjetni’s as well. I’m sure you recall how he favors the disciplined. Tonight, may his blessings be upon you. What will happen will happen, however, I’ve a feeling tonight will yield a more than favorable outcome.” Her father's praising words were as sweet as glistening honey to Imset's hungry ears. She savoured his approval, but didn't need him to tell her that Adjetni was also as pleased. Somehow, she already knew that, had heard her lord whispering his praise between the crevices of her thoughts, spurring her on and driving her lust for battle to grow even further. Imset would surely make him proud tonight. She did not hesitate to tip her head back and howl along with her father, channeling all of her pent up adrenaline into the echoing call that reached for the wolves of their pack. My pack, one day. She found herself pressing her body against Anubis as this thought crossed her mind. Our pack. It didn't take long for the Ignasian wolves to gather around them, Imset's thirsty eyes drinking in the sight of everyone who had gathered, a few faces missing such as Quentin (though she never really cared about what he was doing), Stanley, Miyako and her pups. The last few on the list of wolves who weren't present were an interesting note, but Imset didn't pay too much attention to their leave as her father began speaking once again. “Tonight, we travel to the cave tunnels to celebrate with our allies the ascension of two noble litters. Mine and Beelzebub’s. Tonight will determine which pups have earned their right to adulthood and will best fill their role. Let us depart," his voice rattled her bones as they sank through her skin. He spoke of the right to adulthood for her litter and Beelzebub's, yet she knew that this may have also been an excuse on the Mortiul Beta's part to exterminate the disappointments that plagued him. It was an interesting way of doing so, but if it meant that she got to sink her teeth into something and prove herself to those that cared, she would gladly take the opportunity to do so.

No sooner than she expected, her father appeared and gestured for them to come forth. She moved forward with her siblings, red eyes scanning the rest of the wolves that were ready to go. Something was missing, but she couldn’t place her tongue on it. Maybe it was the lack of blood. Who knew. She hardly had an ear listening to her father as she pushed herself against Imset, searching for the warmth of her sister, and feeling the muscular form next to her. There was no way she would lose to one of those whelps, and if needed, Anubis would step in and kill for her sister. She was the only thing that kept Anubis from being driven out of her mind by the complete idiocy of her other sibling. As they were moving to leave for the Caves, she kept in step with her sister, moving alongside her and making her way to the caves where she would finally sate her hunger for blood. -Exit to Caves- Apprentice Imset Apprentice Varuna @koga
