APPRENTICE VARUNA OF IGNASIA
Varuna felt a little nervous and excited at the events unfolding. So far the night air was crisp and cold, something that didn't effect most of the wolves there. At least as far as appearances go. Flicking an auburn tail he lazily stretched, his body ached from his earlier sparring. Even with the soreness, the sparring was neccessary. Varuna was sure if it was not for his father's command, Ky would fight him like he would an enemy. That was enough to keep Varuna on his toes around the Beta.
“Anubis, Imset, Varuna, - come.” Flicking a red ear to his fathers voice, he rose at the command. Varuna moved in front of his father, his mismatched eyes holding firm on his father's chest, sitting with his back straight. “I’m very impressed. You all have done well not only in my eyes, but Adjetni’s as well. I’m sure you recall how he favors the disciplined. Tonight, may his blessings be upon you. What will happen will happen, - However, I’ve a feeling tonight will yield a more than favorable outcome.”
The words that eased from his father's lips filled Varuna up with flames of passion. His eyes took on an excited glint, his tail eagerly swishing behind him for a few short moment. His lips quivered in an excited smile as he eyed his sister's expression. They each seemed to take the words the way he assumed they would. Lowering his eyes, for a short moment he missed Tiny. At least she was a little more interact-able than the twins. His father's howl quickly ended any further thoughts of the missing link.
Varuna howled with his father, his excitement adding a thrill to howl along with with his family. His fur bristled and his eyes flashed hungrily. A salmon tongue swiped across his maw as he fixed his attention to his father and the rest of the pack.
“Tonight, - We travel to the cave tunnels to celebrate with our allies the ascension of two noble litters. Mine and Beelzebub’s,” Varuna almost scoffed at the idea of that Beta’s litter considered noble. “Tonight will determine which pups have earned their right to adulthood and will best fill their role. We, as a pack, will watch from the shadows, and honor whatever decision fate bestows upon us. Such is destiny. Cayden, Maleah, kindly remain at Marusya’s side. Ky, remain alert and ready for my commands. In a short while, the she-wolf Miyako and her litter will be sent for to be divided and share the feast, as is custom. Let us give praise, and remember to honor our allies. Let us depart.”
Varuna hung his head for a moment at his father’s words. Letting the thoughts and prayers he had learned stumble through his head. He remember what his mother had did when they were younger. Giving some of your blood to Adjetni in return for protection. Lifting his paw once more, he bit into his soft pads until they bled. Holding his foot over the ground he let some trickle onto the dirt and then placing his foot over the stain and pressing hard. Turning he quickly followed after his family.

Her attention is taken away from Quentin as the alphess herself sticks her head in the den, dropping a few platitudes before leaving once more. Rome glowers, young mind not seeing the point in her empty niceties. Everyone else - except maybe Maleah - was so focused on training to fight and worshipping Ajendee that they seemed to have forgotten what manners are. As she watches Zayn flop lazily to the ground, she feels a sharp pang of pure jealousy go through her chest. How nice it would be, to fall back into the easy dark of sleep. However, their mother had different plans. With demands that they follow closely behind her and stay away from Quentin - the opposite of Rome’s intentions - their mother quickly gathers up Stanley before leaving the commons with her children in tow. With a prolonged sigh, Rome trudges begrudgingly after.

With father leading the way and Leyak clearing a path through the snow, the path to Ignasia is an easy one - at least, as easy as any pups first outdoors trip can be. If Aamon were the babe of any other pair, he’s sure he would be overwhelmed. Meeting his father, his pack, and now this sister pack for the first time - and all in one day, at that. Luckily Aamon’s emotions were dulled at best, and the coal coated pup feels only the smallest sliver of curiosity as he surveys these wolves. So different, yet so familiar. Finally Adramalech comes to a halt in front of a lighter coated male, introducing him as the leader of the Ignasian wolves. Aamon sits just behind and to the left of Leyak - forever his faithful shadow - and stares up at the towering males with blank white eyes. Their interaction is amicable, and he tilts his head to the side in vague confusion. Why not just say what needs to be said without the extra effort of being nice? Perhaps it was because they were both alphas. Everyone already knew the strength they held, so they could afford to show emotion. Even so, Aamon thinks to himself, I’ll leave the niceties to Leyak.
The adults conversation holds little to no weight to the demon spawn, and he allows his gaze to wander. The only thing that catches his attention is the mention of father picking a pup from another little for Mortiul - and what fun that would be! He shudders, remembering the sweet tear of the vole’s flesh, the slide of slick blood down his throat. Maybe he would be able to practice dis-lo-cation on this new pup, like mother had commanded him to do with the vole.
As the conversation comes to a close, he follows father and brother wherever they may go, with nary a word spoken as they depart.

--Time Skip 4 Months-- Hot pink eyes scoured the earth, him and Hound had been taking turns hunting down the other, Hound didn’t particularly care for the little game Mutt had thought up but he had decided to follow his brother’s directions anyway, letting the silver-tongued male talk him into it. The dark tan, six month old teenager bounded through the trees, new growth sprouted up everywhere and Mutt wasn’t very interested in the game anymore, but he found running around in the woods to be his favorite activity as of late, so long as his brother was there with him. As he lifted his nose to the air he breathed in deeply, just catching a whiff of his brother’s scent, Mutt skidded to a halt a smirk growing on his face. Mutt’s tail wagged and he shot off through the trees, he wasn’t as good as Hound, no matter how much he wished he was, but he could follow the trail well enough, it wasn’t like he was incompetent in the task of tracking. He slowed as the scent grew in strength, and his eyes saw his brother’s tail raised in the air as he trotted along through the trees, Hound's back to him. Mutt slowly moved through the undergrowth, feet lightly touching the ground as he followed Hound, gaining on him, slowly but surely. The wind shifted as soon as he was close enough to pounce and immediately Mutt did, not allowing his brother's nose to give his position away. Mutt tackled his brother with a laugh jumping up quickly and bouncing away before his brother could retaliate, “Haha! I may not have gotten you as fast, but damn if I didn’t sneak up on you real good!”
Mutt waited for his brother’s response before nuzzling up next to Hound, then he turned tail to run quickly back towards the Ignasia Common Grounds, knowing his brother would soon follow behind. Upon entering the bustling area Mutt’s smile faded, he could be himself around his brother, the smiling and laughing excited male wolf he naturally was, but here he had to put up his facade, the steely one who could handle anything. Mutt had no intention of being passed up for anything because they thought he was weak, so he made sure he was exactly what they wanted, what they asked for, whether it was a lie or not it made no difference to the young male wolf. Hot pink eyes glanced around to see Hound before he continued further into the camp, he kept his head down, moving through the other wolves without a sound, without a trace, as if he wasn’t really even there. The dark tan wolf narrowed his eyes, he didn’t see his other siblings about yet, which was always disconcerting, Rome was the only other wolf from their group still left here. That was when a wave of sadness washed over Mutt, Lotus, his younger sister, she was long gone with their mother and his oldest brother. A pink tongue ran over his lips, it was the only reaction to the sadness he felt in his heart that he allowed, but he wasn’t about to show the weakness, that would be a death sentence here. So instead the young wolf found a bit of shade, shaking his fur out from nose to tail, before laying down quickly to rest before he was called upon to do something more. Hound @aamon

-Timeskip: 4 months-
Tayla was currently in the den that was rather large and she was sharing with her siblings. She was curled close to Myles, the warmth of her siblings keeping her from shivering. Now being six months old, she had grown quite a bit from her pup self, and was much larger and darker in fur color. She looked a lot like her mother, being more Iberian. She could almost match Maleah in looks, although she refused to think she was anything like the nanny. After her mother had escaped with Zayn and Lotus, the pack had put out search parties, trying to find where the broodmother had run off to, but alas, there was nothing for months. Zayn was lost to them, and Tayla had accepted it by the time it was official. Rome took Lotus’ leave harshly, and she tried being there for her sister, but alas, when you were already bonded with different siblings, it was harder to appeal to the others. Myles was Tayla’s one and only concern when it came to the litter. She watched over him, and made sure that he never had anything to worry about. As they grew, she knew that he would be able to handle more in this world, but she had a need to protect her siblings and family. Especially after she had almost been taken from them.
Along with her growing, her and her litter had been passed to Maleah and Cayden to be watched over and raised by. This was nothing she completely cared about, so long as they remained fed. She knew that they would never let them starve, but she was sure that some of the pack at least thought they would turn to be traitors like their mother, even if they remained faithful, there would always be that little thought in the back of everyone’s minds. Which is why they were put under the watch of the Delta and Nanny. Tayla had found an interest in another wolf however, Iliana. She was one of the rogues that had come into the pack four months ago, being greeted and welcomed warmly into the pack due to her surviving Adjetni’s wrath. When she was old enough and trusted enough to walk around the commons and territory alone, or with the company of another, she had chosen to talk to Iliana, having been around her so long, she had become her apprentice, wanting to learn how to become a Salutary and Shaman in the future when it came time. She worked hard to listen to what Iliana had to say, and she was able to heal minor cuts and wounds by now. But she still had much to learn.
Bringing herself to stand, whether Myles rose or not, she exited the den, morning light greeting her as she entered into the wintery glow of light. The snow was slowly melting, meaning that winter was indeed coming to an end soon. Spring would be here quickly enough, and they would be able to find even better herbs. Tayla was not one to get too excited, but this was something that she enjoyed, and she enjoyed spending time listening to Iliana talk endlessly about herbs. This would be Tayla’s first spring, and it would be a welcomed warmth compared to winter’s cold clutches. Trotting over to Iliana’s den, she poked her head in, seeing that the she-wolf was not there. She was probably off doing something or another, so Tayla would wait for her patiently.
Her hunting skills needed practice, so she opted to find something to eat for her and her mentor as she headed to the outskirts of the commons. There wasn’t much in the way of prey here, but she could try and find something at least. A skinny rabbit was found after a few moments of searching. It was hiding away in its den, and so she waited diligently. After what felt like an eternity, it came out of its den timidly, only to be met with teeth that wrapped around its head, yanking it from the den. Snapping its neck, she brought it back to the commons, sitting down in front of Iliana’s den with it sitting in front of her for when the other she-wolf would return.

The four months that elapsed carried him into his fourth year of life. Many would have regarded this as their prime, the peak before pitiful existences were eroded, but he’d no need for such a sad, archaic outlook. Koga, unlike them, had all of eternity for him. The year that elapsed was little more than another mark in his righteous, long-lived reign, a rapid, fleeting reminder of the dozens that lay ahead. It had been their best year of service, of praise and worship, and with every new dawn they reaped the fruits of their labors. Marusya had been gently blessed with another litter, a second to suppress the memories of the dozens they lost. Every time he closed his eyes, lingered too long in sleep, the smell of fertile earth filled his nostrils, the rustle of a thousand veering, tussled vines thundering within his ears. They all were destined for a connection with something greater, something far beyond the brinks of comprehension. Marusya had seen the same visions, felt the same thousands and millions of connection branching out beyond her. Their lives would touch an unprecedented amount more than they could have ever hoped to reach yet. Not Messiah, but a messenger, an apostle.
Adjetni had awarded their sacrifices. Maleah and Cayden had been lovingly bestowed the honor of their first litter, just as Marusya and him had envisioned. They too were in store for something fantastic — of course, what exactly, he couldn’t be sure, but he could sense it. Only good things arose from promises kept, from debts fulfilled. Both, respectively, had done their duties and served Adjetni well. What better blessing to receive than the assurance that, no matter what, Adjetni would assure their legacies stretched far beyond the mortal limitations of their own times? Everything they ever could have wanted for, his lord has so generously yielded. For Maleah, it was initially safety, comfort, which later blossomed into a yearning for love, friendship, and family, all of which Cayden had provided. Cayden’s needs, on the other hand, were far simpler. All he’d ever requested was small Iberian she-wolf by his side, pledging a lifetime of stalwart, steadfast service in return. And so Adjetni bestowed his blessings upon the faithful, whispering deep with the Prophet’s ears to mark this as an example of what to recall when a wolf’s loyalty wavered; a testimony of the life they too were capable of leading.
To speak of testimony, Iliana’s own devoted, steadfast dedication had returned to them a critical aspect of worship: that of their shaman’s. Already, she’d been generously bestowed Adjetni’s calling; Adjetni’s destiny, and already, she showed every intention of fulfilling her task. Her presence had brought comfort to the more faithless members, the suspicious, the inherently untrustworthy — particularly, the five remaining bastards of his quite unfortunate, necessary union with Miyako. Though Maleah and Cayden had parented the pups to the best of their ability, some, quite frankly, had no heaving desire to ever be parented again. Some, of course, were fully accepting from the start. Others, although never having loved their mother that much to begin with, were entirely unwilling to replace her. Still, despite their dogged, steadfast resolution, he’d managed to make a hint of a breakthrough. Tayla, the oldest, had found herself intrigued by Iliana’s bubbliness, her purveying happiness, and had taken an interest in medicine. Her mind was more technical, more secular, focused on the scientific, logical side of healing. That would change, sooner or later, and to be fair, she’d demonstrated progress. There was the smallest, faintest sliver of curiosity; tiny, but tangibly there during the peak of a ritual. If Iliana could only cultivate it, they’d have themselves a new shaman.
This morning, Iliana, Maleah, and Cayden had set off with the intention of conducting a wellness check in Mortiul. Iliana had become increasingly active in the pregnancies of Mortiul’s two breeders, more than he would have liked; but he’d no say in the matter, considering Mortiul lacked a Salutary of their own. An unfortunate aspect of alliance, but alas — he would learn to make do. Still, nothing about Maleah in Mortiul gave him a particularly good feeling. He’d follow them shortly, but for now, he had to ensure his pack remained functional, efficient, and active. “Tayla,” he greeted, his voice holding a staunch, formal sternness. “Iliana will not be back home for hours. Be productive.” He jerked his oaken head towards the spot her obtusely brainless other half likely lay. “Take Myles for a walk. Teach him to hunt, spar, sort herbs — if it’s even remotely useful, take the time. His tutors are gone today as well, and you know how well he listens to you.” With that, he rose, shifting his attentions towards Mutt and Hound. “Good morning,” he began, trotting over towards the space where the two sparring teenagers lingered. “Rise. Aamon and Leyak should be calling on you shortly. You’ve both my full permission to go wherever they desire. Serve them well.”
Finally, there was the matter of handling his true children. Anubis, Imset, and Varuna had only further blossomed, already nearing the completion of their first full year. After the tournament, he doubled the intensity of their training, taking care to ensure that even a fully trained Ferus warrior could fall just as easily as any of Beel’s fledgling brats. Each performed exceptionally, as they always did, but the true test would lie within the success of the Ferus mission. Today was time. Something on the wind, in the air tasted absolutely right — and he’d no intention of squandering it. “Children,” He stated simply; a coarse, simple command for all to rise at once. “Ky, come forth. We’ve a mission.” Once the four of them had assembled, he’d elaborate. “As you are well aware, we are to retrieve the Ferus salutary. Alive, unharmed, and through any means necessary are the only three instructions that Adramalach has provided us. We may kill and capture at our discretion — note discretion, not leisure. I will leave the master plan to you three. Ky and I will be watching from a safe distance and interfere if things go south. I trust you all won’t let that happen.” He cautioned. “Remember, no matter what, Mortiul are our allies. Treat them as such. Let us be off.”

Light and small feet hit the ground, ever so slowly. Focusing on his surroundings, Hound walks sneakily through the burnt wasteland, that was slowly blossoming with life again. Dark flickers tampered with the pup's vision field, shadows appearing out there, in the corner of his eye, a gift some said, a window to the future their lord and savior Adjenti wanted so dearly. For the young male though, it was all but a firm pain in his ass. The distraction, although brief, managed to get him out of the moment, completely ignoring the current game, until the figure of his brother came in, tackling Hound while wheezing his arse off. “Haha! I may not have gotten you as fast, but damn if I didn’t sneak up on you real good!” said Mutt, excitedly, smiling at his fallen sibling. "Oh, you were still playing?" asked Hound, mockingly, proceeding to follow his brother into their pack's common grounds, waiting for further instruction. He witnessed his younger brother completely change expression, as always, turning himself into a different individual upon planting paws on Ignasian territory. A form of adaptation, as only the strong survived. The concept of happiness and fun was something they had to leave behind in order to rise, and Mutt by now could at least pretend to have done so. The duo scattered, each at a different point of the region, awaiting for some of the higher ups to arrive. Apprentice Mutt @basicallyanypresentignasian

ALPHESS MARUSYA | | | | | Over the past few months several things had transpired, all of good fortune from their beloved Adjetni. Iliana proved to be more than a capable individual, how blessed they were to receive not just a healer, but a blessed healer. Her studies were coming along fantastic, and already she had an apprentice. Of course Marusya could not say no to Tayla's request and she hoped Iliana would prove to be a favorable mentor.
Marusya tried not to doubt the others. While Zayn and Lotus while branded with run-away and their mother traitor, she could and would not blame the children. They were but young ones, and still their minds were mold-able. Already they were growing and shaping into fine teenagers. Soon their training will be doubled and they will be tested past their limits. That was what was required of them, and she will make sure that would happen.
Rolling onto her stomach she peered out of her den, squinting at the bright rays of light. Looks like today will be a good day, she thought idly. A salmon tongue swiped over her nose as she missed the warmth of her mate. Already he had collected her first litter for their first mission. Tonight she'll pray to Adjetni with Iliana and Tayla for their success and safe return. Soon all the pieces will come together and they will reek havoc among the packs. She chuckled at the idea, oh how wonderful for my daughters to rule over so many.
Of course, she had yet to tell Koga of the good news. She could feel the signs of her pregnancy stirring. How joyous was it that she was to get pregnant as so many other females; Adjetni must be blessing them with fertility for the upcoming war. Already did Maleah bear the weight of a pregnancy as well, as was for told. Letting a sigh part her blackened lips, she finally rose and exited the den. Looking for her companions it appeared most had vacated the commons for the morning. Another sigh and her white eyes roamed the clearing.
The apprentices were still about, some training, but for the most part a day off. Perhaps a group outing? Looking for more adults to help her she spotted her albino companion. Approach her she called out with a small wag of her tail.
"Psyche, what plans did you have in mind today?" Marusya asked her, a small smile curving her lips into a light grin.

-- Timeskip: 4 Months -- It seemed that the death of Sauron had only been the catalyst for a showering of blessings from their beloved Lord. His whisperings through her head had turned into voices so strong they felt as if they belonged to a physical body, and with the snow finally melting away to reveal the layers of ash that would forever linger against the Ignasian ground, she felt his presence within the lands grow stronger, as if he were a wraith weaving his influence through the lives of his wolves. The bit of influence that Imset had felt was the connection that had been formed between herself and Leyak, the eldest son of Mortiul. Her favourite blessing of all was the way that he made her feel, the looks that were pointed her way, the gifts that he gave with the kind of care that Imset had never felt before. Her most prized possession had once been the pelt of her first victim, the sizeable slice of fur that she now used as bedding in her den—but now, a shell that housed the songs of a distant ocean had taken that spot, along with the promise that came with it. One day she would see the ocean, with Leyak standing beside her, their souls destined to intertwine with Adjetni's blessing already being apparent. All of these sweet thoughts of the young male drifted through her head as she slowly ascended into consciousness, her carnelian eyes breaking open to blink against the soft golden light of spring as it trickled into her den. Imset didn't linger for long, stretching out her limbs and finding satisfaction in the loud pops and cracks that echoed from her young joints. She made her way out into the warmth of the Common Grounds, relishing in the warm light that had finally melted away that damned snow. If she weren't a hardened warrior, perhaps she would have grinned at the sight of such niceties. But that kind of weakness did not hold her back. She could feel that more pressing matters were at hand today, so there was no time for smiling like an idiot at such simple matters. Imset stood tall as she watched her father making his way through the Commons, stopping to give small commands to a handful of Ignasian wolves, her skin twitching with unbridled anticipation until he finally looked towards her and her siblings, but not before drifting past Imset's most dearest friend. As per usual, she refrained from scowling at the Beta, and instead kept her head high as their father began speaking. I trust you all won’t let that happen. Remember, no matter what, Mortiul are our allies. Treat them as such. Let us be off.” Now this was something worth smiling about. The mission that their father had mentioned all those months ago was finally coming to fruition. All of their training would finally be put to the test, and this time, wouldn't be wasted against the likes of Beelzebub's pathetic spawns. A malicious grin swept itself across Imset's maw as she was quick to take up her usual spot at her sisters side as they began to trek into Mortiul lands. "I pray this brings us a great amount of entertainment, hopefully even some fortunate sacrifices to Adjetni if any Ferus idiots try to interfere." She chortled to her siblings, excited to finally be dragging the Ferus Salutary back into the mountains, and praying so desperately that she would be given the honour of spilling blood for her Lord once more. But despite all of this, apart of her knew that she was more excited to see Leyak again as they inched further and further towards the Mortiul Commons.

Aamon pads quietly into the Ignasian commons, a shadow compared to the hustle and bustle of the cultists. Koga traipses off with offspring and beta in tow, leaving his bitch to command the remaining wolves with pointless cheer. He wasn’t here for any of them though; no. The wolf he was after appeared to cooling himself beneath the shade of a tree. Mutt, a name fitting for his status. Son of a slave turned traitor, why father thought he’d serve any purpose remained a mystery to the pitch colored brute. Even so, it was on the advice of his father and brother that he... spend time with the oaken cultist. Leyak seemed to have developed an amicable relationship with his slave, which did in turn seem to inspire obedience. Perhaps bringing Mutt along on his escapades would make him equally malleable. Approaching the resting he-wolf, he cocks his head eerily to the side, ghostly gaze fixed unerringly upon Mutt’s face. ”Come.” He finally utters, voice a low rasp from disuse. Aamon very rarely spoke. Then, with some thought, he elaborates. ”There is training to be done. And perhaps a small mission of our own.” With that, he turns and stalks out of the commons, snorting harshly to clear the scent of smoke and ash from his nose. If Mutt wanted to inform his little fire alphess of their departure, that was his task to do. ||Exit to Mountainside Stream|| Apprentice Mutt

Mutt's head was resting on his paws as he laid under the tree, eyes slowly closing as he began to fall into a light sleep, disregarding the bustle about him. His father's words had fallen on all but deaf ears, sure he had looked alert but as soon as the male had disappeared, along with his entourage, Mutt's head had fallen back down, unable to escape the tiredness that had gripped him. The next words he heard were cold and raspy "Come." He looked up into the sickening eyes of Aamon, fixed on his own hot pink ones, then the black wolf elaborated "There is training to be done. And perhaps a small mission of our own." Mutt hurriedly stood as Aamon turned and began to walk away from the common grounds. The light brown mail stretched with a loud yawn before hurriedly trotting after him, the thought of going to tell his Alphess of his departure was at the back of his mind, he didn't even consider it, just rushed to catch up with his supposed 'owner'.

Four months took so long to pass! Talking had become way easier, he had gotten the hang of everyone's names! It was so difficult to get Quentin's name down. His mother, apparently, did not have the best ways with words. Quentin's name only had two syllables apparently, so that was a steep learning curve. But at least he had it down pat now! As Tayla left the den, Myles quickly followed suit, sticking closeby to her favorite sibling in case she needed him. So far, he had been able to just stay completely blissful, bouncy Myles. Not a care in the world! But that could change in an instant. Anything could happen in the blink of one rouge eye around here, and Myles was always sure to be ready for when Tayla needed him. But lost in his own thoughts, he quickly lost his sister while she went on a hunt.
Hunts were so much fun! The chase with his little legs, the biting down, the big hearty meal that always filled him right up to the brim! What more could anyone ask for, other than Tayla? “Take Myles for a walk. Teach him to hunt, spar, sort herbs — if it’s even remotely useful, take the time. His tutors are gone today as well, and you know how well he listens to you,” the Prophet's voice brought him back to reality. A walk! A hunt! A spar! Even herbs! So much fun he could have! With his tail wagging back and forth a million miles an hour, his bright smiling face turned to Tayla, ready for her to tell him exactly who to be for today.

The stern voice of her father was all she needed to hold back a sour expression to present itself on her face. After her mother had left, it seemed that the pack as a whole only saw them as nuisances. Even if mother had stayed, she was sure they would have felt the same, but even her own father hardly wanted her. Anger bubbled underneath the surface of the calm expression Tayla held, but she let it go. She knew from the start, that she would never be favored or loved by her father. She would never be as great as the children he produced with Marusya. It had been the fact she had come to terms with since day one. But something inside of her screamed that she wanted his approval. But, she would never get it, and she knew that much. Turning her attention to his words instead, he spoke of Iliana not being back for awhile. A sour expression presented itself on her face this time without her holding it back. Of course her mentor would not be back for quite some time. She was off spending time in Mortiul doing who knows what. Her attention slid to Myles. He was probably the dumbest of the litter, but he held a place in Tayla’s heart. Father decided that if she could do something, anything, to get him to be useful, then she would be allowed to do so. Hunting was something that she always looked forward to besides herb sorting, and she was sure it took long enough to do that to the point it would keep Myles occupied for the whole day.
Her attention caught on Myles. His tail was slamming back and forth with no hesitation as he waited for her to decide what they were going to do. If Tayla had it her way, she would take him training with her and Iliana and learn more herbs while he helped pick them or sort them. But now, she was solely in charge of her and her brother’s teachings today. “Let’s go on a hunt,” Her voice was much softer than it was with others, although it still held the same cold, calculating tone it always did. She turned her attention towards the hunting grounds, where they would hopefully find something a bit more entertaining than just a mouse or occasional squirrel.

Quentin had only gotten older as the months passed. He didn't have any real purpose anymore with Xalie being gone for so long and Psyche being the same old bitch he'd dealt with for months. The only truly interesting thing in his life was Mortiul's resident flirt, Yvaine. He and his fellow alien matched their personalities like a beautiful house on fire. Dangerous to most, blazing hot, and starkly orange. Her luck coercing the stupid male brains of wolves was much more successful than he had been with the female brain. Seemingly, the meatheads of Mortiul were much more wowed by her beauty and willing at her beck and call than the prisses of Ignasia were willing to kiss his tangerine ass. Quentin surely pondered giving his sweetheart a little visit this fine morning, but the movement of the head bitch around here was enough to distract him long enough.
Maruysa's company hadn't gotten any more enjoyable, much like he hoped he was a nuisance for her. A thorn in her side, a spanner in her and her mate's cult of wackjobs and brainwashed idiots, a stilt being of difficulty that they had collected accidentally. With a cheeky smirk, Quentin rose to his paws. He towered over her tiny frame, and that made it all the more fun whenever he 'accidentally' bumped into her. Trailing close behind the Alphess, Quentin lifted his knee higher than it needed to go, easily jostling his bony limb into her side. "Oh!" he exclaimed dramatically, his sarcasm clear within his next words, "Why, I didn't even see you down there! How are we today Marusya?" With dark chocolate eyes daringly trying to lock themselves with Marusya's, Quentin lowered his head patronizingly lowly to reach her puny height.

Myles was still a ball of excited energy. Tayla hadn't told him that he wasn't supposed to be that happy, so why would he need to stop? Rouge eyes stared at his sister, eagerly awaiting her decision of what to do. "Let's go on a hunt," she decided. A HUNT! Myles hadn't been on sucha small hunt before! It would be so nice, just him and Tayla and food. Paradise, one could even call it. Trotting merrily after her, Myles thought about what would happen. Would it be a hare, a baby deer, maybe even a lizard! He didn't know if lizards could get up on the mountain, but he sure hoped so.
