Hunter Ater "It's Kind Of Okay That You Are Here."
For the few minutes that they sat together, Ater found herself recalling, much to her chagrin. She couldn't recall the last time that she had bothered to comfort someone, quite honestly. Had the last one really been Salvo, those few years ago? Yes, it must have been. When Salvo was at death's door was the last time she had truly comforted someone with empathetic purposes.
Releasing a huge sigh from her chest at the still painful memory of her lost friend, Ater brought her eyes down toward the quiet form of Tamlin beside her, silent sympathy clouding her features as she watched the pup sob. She could feel the wet tears he cried weighing down on her heart in the same way Salvo's death had. She couldn't truly imagine the great pain he felt now. Of course she had lost wolves she cared deeply for, but never a family member, let alone all of them. Tipping her head back, the graphite brushed bitch gazed skyward at the slowly passing clouds. It would take time for his emotional wounds to heal, but she was sure he would be able to propel himself forward from his grief. He was strong and he had plenty of motherly and fatherly wolves to care for and watch over him in place of the parents he had lost.
"Ater, Aili, could you join us please?" Wren's soft request broke Ater's silent state of thought, bringing her large head to look towards the hunter with a gentle nod. "Of course," She rumbled, finally noticing that Tamlin had moved from away to Seven's side. Giving a last glance to the pup, Ater climbed to her paddle-shaped paws and moseyed off after the rest of the hunting party. ~Exit To: Noctis Hunting Grounds~

| Delta Draco of Somnus
Draco was rather bored. The male wasn't at all interested in what had happened. He felt some sympathy for the wolves there, but they were all simply strangers that he had no clue as to who they were. Looking towards his brother as he spoke to a female, one that seemed to be one of Luke's most trusted, he patiently took his time to wait for his brother to invite them along. After all, Draco couldn't just barge through territory that he didn't know. Looking towards Eureka, who seemed to be excited, a smile couldn't help but poke at his lips at her excitement. He hadn't seen her this happy in a while, and it was a good change of pace. Why did you have to leave Somnus, Luke? The question nipped at his mind as he thought about how happy the three could be in Somnus. But he guessed that his brother couldn't find his place in Somnus, and it looked like being Noctis' Alpha fit him much better. Bringing himself to his feet, Draco followed his siblings, wondering what exactly they would do. Especially with more than four wolves, they could hunt down more prey. - Exit to Hunting Grounds -

---- " We don't really know that, do we?"
"Aside from that, it's really easy to talk like that when you aint the one choking on your own blood or gasping for air on the ground".Vera wasn’t surprised. She had been expecting some sort of displeasure from the male in response to her statement. All those feely types didn’t dare question the pain of death, and yet Vera still stood by her beliefs… that those who were still living had greater hardships than those that were already dead. And so her response was just as passive-aggressive as his own. Releasing an annoyed snort through her nostrils as they moved along in silence. Coming up to the Alphess, Vera moved away from his side. The scene was painful to watch. A kid's body, laying lifeless on the ground, lunch for any insect or scavenger that passed through. His brother, 'round the same age, broken and tearing against their leader's chest, who was unresponsive and also shedding her very own tears. Tamlin shouldn't be here, he shouldn't be seeing this.At first, Zack didn't really know how to approach. Yeah, they were close enough to hear him, but go figure how the crying duo would receive his words. But the warrior was already at fault, he had to do something. At least to ease the young one's pain, maybe make him put his head in other stuff. "Alphess, I'm sorry to interrupt. But could you allow me to take Tam somewhere else?"His superior remained quiet, yet aknowledged him and nodded in positive response, tears rolling down her face still. The Eurasian could feel his own heart on the throat, half-blocking the air, barely able to fight back tears of his own. "Come on kid, follow me. Gotta show ya something."

The warmth of someone next to him was a sweet sorrow. To hear the beat of a heart, the hiss of a chest as it moves, the feeling of heat against his face and his body was something naturally comforting, but he couldn't help bit be spiteful. He would never feel his mother's love like that. He would never feel his father's love; he didn't even know who he was! He would never feel his brother or his sister's love like that again. Never would they share the same den, never would the cuddle together, never would they laugh or make fun of him - something he would miss dearly. Somewhere deep inside his soul, a burning passion for life flickered, but his exterior was numb and cold. Dried tears stained his cheeks, but none continued to fall. All he wanted to do was stay still or sleep. It was still relatively early in the morning, but he just wanted to sleep the rest of the day away. There couldn't be anything that he would ever want to do today that could make him feel any better. Jade eyes were squeezed shut and the near yearling was almost falling asleep on the Alphess' side when a voice startled him out of his exhausted rest. "Alphess, I'm sorry to interrupt, but could you allow me to take Tam somewhere else?" Groggily, Tamlin opened his eyes with a shivering breath. Zach was relatively new to him, he had popped up in the pack after he was born apparently, but at this point, Tamlin didn't really care. He felt the she-wolf's neck move behind his shrivelled frame, and Tamlin could only hope that she had dismissed him to do something, hopefully, sleep. He was too overstimulated to do much at all. "Come on kid, follow me. Gotta show ya something," the warrior coaxed the alabaster pup away from his inky comfort. Slowly, ever so slowly, Tamlin moved away from Seven's side. His legs felt like they were made of bricks. His head felt heavy. He felt immobile. As he stumbled past his brother, he rubbed his torso on the corpse, at least giving it a goodbye before he left with Zach. Following the male a short distance away, not even getting the strength to lift his gaze from the ground, Tamlin's hoarse voice whispered, "What... what is it, Zach?" He blinked slowly, his legs holding him up like a shaky table. There was no way that he was going to be able to move quickly today, and probably not for a while. He just wanted to sleep. His eyes were dry, his nose had residual snot dried on the end of it, and his once wet fur dried in all angles. He was in no state to do much at all, but at least something could take his mind off of... everything. @seven Paladin Zachariah

The pup had stepped up, although it really seemed like he was having a hard time doing so. Zachariah hadn't had much interaction with the kid, no opportunity to do so, as the warrior had dedicated most of his time just following Sasha around, dreaming of a love that was never meant to be, apparently. The grown male started to have second thoughts when Tamlin raised his head from the confort of Seven's fur, tears and mucus still on his snoot, asking him on a soft, clearly tired tone why he had separated him from the alphess. Hard to watch, such an innocent, kind and even quiet creature reduced to a mess, difficulty escalating as he realized that the sobbing mess was a kid, not even a yearling yet. Feeling his guts on the throat, the Eurasian looked forward, avoiding eye contact with Tamlin at all possible costs. You can do nothing right today, can't you dumbass?Sighing, finally gathering up the courage to see the little one in the eyes, Zachariah spoke up. "Look kid, I know it hurts, to our kind this kind of shit happens more often than not. And today, I've lost enough already. There's this path I always take, whenever I feel like the world's crumbling down on my back. There's never anyone or anything messing around there. Pretty peaceful, thought you'd need it. You seem tired though, but it's your call, not mine. Be honest, wanna come along?" Warrior Tamlin

Somehow, he stood. The feeling of morning dew under his paws brought no comfort to the young male, nor did the scent of maturing leaves or his pack around him. Nothing around him seemed beautiful anymore. Nothing had much meaning. Why bother asking such philosophical questions when there were no good answers available? Jade eyes stared blankly ahead of him, down at the hardened paws of a warrior, down at the paws of someone who was so valiantly trying to distract his mind from the horrors and grief so suddenly shoved upon it. Be honest, wanna come along?" Zachariah's proposition seemed calming. It seemed like a sanctuary that was in reach, but Tamlin was still so stiff - still so shocked. Even if this path was nearby, it may take the male an hour just to walk the short distance to it. "Only..." the alabaster pup began before a cough wracked his system, "Only if you could carry me... please." Tamlin still hadn't raised his eyes to truly look at the warrior, but he knew from experience that even though he was lanky, he was considerably smaller than Zach was. Remaining frozen in place, the pup shakily raised a paw, a pitiful beg to be carried to this sanctuary. He wanted to have contact with someone; being alone right now was the last thing that the unstable teen needed. Zachariah was completely sure that his proposition would have been turned down by the child, it just seemed like it wasn't really the time. The gaze of Tamlin , so cold and broken, unfair for someone so young to have to wield such expression. But, against all of odds, the kid actually played along, on one condiction. "Only if you could carry me... please.". Seems fair enough. As Tam raised a paw, the warrior turned around, dropping himself to the cold dirt that was the ground. Not really positive on how much weight his teeth could carry, the fully grown male put more trust on his back. "Just climb on my back and try to get a grip. This'll take a while."Once the teenager does as he's told, Zachariah starts walking, having some trouble at first with the weight addition pressing on his back, but getting used quickly enough as to not fall down on their faces. "You ain't scared of a little mist, are you?" Warrior Tamlin **Exit to Misty Lake**

The alabaster pup's pitiful movement seemed to have actually drawn the older male over to him. His foggy brain was initially confused as to why the warrior was laying down next to him. He wanted to go to the sanctuary, not remain and rest here. "Just climb on my back and try to get a grip. This'll take a while," the oaken male coaxed the teen, clearing up the clouds in his mind. Shakily, the pup began to clamber on, first swinging his outer forepaw over the adult's shoulders before flopping his hind leg over the males flank. Shifting his weight so that he was more centred on Zachariah's back, Tamlin let his head fall onto the male's nape. As the male beneath him rose up and slowly began to walk, Tamlin's jade eyes fluttered closed. They felt dry from the sheer amount of crying that he had done. The lull of the warrior's slow steps, the rolling of the shoulder and flank beneath him rocked him close to sleep. "You ain't scared of a little mist, are you?" Zach's words were distant, as if they came from underwater instead of just beneath him. A small hum was the only response that the warrior would get from the teen as his emotionally exhausted frame was coaxed into slumber. Paladin Zachariah-Exit to: Misty Lake-

| As they approached the common grounds, Luke looked towards his pack members, finally moving away from the thoughts that were lurking in the back of his head. With the kill that was being brought to the commons, he knew that the wolves would gather in front of them rather quickly, eager for a meal that was long awaited. Looking towards his pregnant mate, he would beckon her forth, and then motion for the other wolves to join as well. As they all gathered, he would let out a howl, letting any wolves in the territory know that they were being summoned once more to the common grounds. As everyone approached, he stepped aside so that Wren would be in everyone's view. "Our hunt with the Somnus superiors went well. They sadly had to depart soon after," He started, knowing that they would wonder where the foreign wolves had gone. "Congratulations are in order, but we would not have made this kill successful if it had not been for Wren's expert planning and tactical help," He said, looking towards her with a smile. His cranberry gaze lingered on her for just a moment, perhaps a moment too long. "Now, let's feast!" He said, turning towards the kill and ripping off a large chunk for himself. Looking towards Wren, he felt a need to talk with her.
"I'm rather proud of you," He said, looking towards her. "When you first had joined the pack, you were still learning, and now you've become a strong hunter and leader," He said to her. "I remember when you had first joined my pack, and now you’re one of the most crucial members to it,” He couldn’t help but give a small, toothy smile in her direction as the fact that he had finally gathered wolves that would make permanent residence within his pack lands settled itself nicely within his train of thought. He had finally built a home, a place that he could call his own, and a place that would be the home of many wolves that he would love and cherish as if they were his own flesh and blood. Sweeping his tail behind him, Luke wondered if she would take his praise, or humbly deny it. Whatever she would do, he would simply give her a nudge on the shoulder before sitting down to eat the chunk of meat he had placed at his feet whilst wanting to talk to her. Starting to eat, the male fell silent, looking around at his pack as his bloodstained muzzle rapidly ate the chunk of meat he had taken for himself.
Time Skip: 2 Months -
Fog slithered through the commons and into the Alpha Den as its cold fingers glided over the thick pelt of the Alpha male. Shaking himself awake, he felt the coldness of being alone sweep over him once more as he realized that his ex-mate was once more not in the den. During the events of the past couple months, Luke found himself no longer attracted to the female, and no longer wanting to be her mate. He had told her this, rather reluctantly. Their pups were born, and Seven remained in the pack as a simple Omega instead of the Alphess she had been. The pups were doing well, but as they had dismissed their mateship, she no longer was staying in his den since she had made her own. The loss of warmth made Luke rather sad, but he couldn’t keep lying to her that he was in love with her, when in fact, he wasn’t. Shifting his weight, he brought himself to his feet as he shook his fur from the cold grip of morning.
Making his way out of the den, his dark red optics took a moment to look around, seeing that mostly no one was awake. But his gaze fell on one den, and one den only. The one of his new Beta, Wren. She had been there for him when he needed a superior, and she had been promoted a month ago to being his Beta, right around the time that Seven was asked to step down from her Alphess position. Luke felt guilty, having grown close to Wren and just recently dismissing his mateship with Seven. He knew that he couldn’t so easily jump back into a mateship, and not only that, he valued Wren as his Beta, he wasn’t completely sure if he would want her as his Alphess quite yet. He wondered if that would cause a rift in the pack, having an ex-Alphess in the pack that had been dismissed only to be replaced by the new Beta of the pack. He didn’t want to cause trivial things right now, but he knew that in the end, he was most definitely going to cause some sort of problems with keeping his old mate in the pack, but for right now, he would take the time in the morning to think of the duties he needed done today, and who to assign them too.

WORK CAN BE FUN IF YOU LAUGH A LITTLE
The walk to the commons grounds had been made in a comfortable silence. The huntress wasn't sure how Ozmond or Aili felt about having to carry the rear end of the deer when such a task really wasn't necessary, but it seemed that neither of them complained about the matter. Slipping the meal off her shoulders in tandem with Luke, the average sized female took the opportunity to stretch out her joints as Luke's melodious howl floated through the Noctis territory. The slight contact between the Alpha and herself was broken as she moved away from the russet male, allowing his mate to go to his side. "Our hunt with the Somnus superiors went well. They sadly had to depart soon after. Congratulations are in order, but we would not have made this kill successfully if it had not been for Wren's expert planning and tactical help," Luke's gaze trailed over to her prompting an embarrassed smile and a small head shake from the hunter. Everyone had helped, all of the wolves involved made sure that the hunt went as best as it could. "Now, let's feast!" the proclamation of food made the she-wolf realize just how tired the hunt had made her. Though she loved to run, and hunts always gave her a rush of adrenaline, it was undeniably exhausting. After Luke and Seven had taken their fill from the carcass, Wren took her turn, tearing off a reasonably sized chunk of meat from the shoulder of the doe."I'm rather proud of you," Luke's voice settling next to her as she ate startled her slightly, "When you first had joined the pack, you were still learning, and now you've become a strong hunter and leader. I remember when you had first joined my pack, and now you’re one of the most crucial members to it." Wren ducked away from the compliments. She knew she had done a good job, and she enjoyed doing it, but to hear it from someone else's mouth, Luke especially, warmed her heart. With another embarrassed smile once again back on her face, Wren swallowed the meat and replied back, "Thank you. It all came from observing everyone else, I would think that's what anyone would do if they wanted to improve." Even if she distanced the compliments from herself, it was still nice to feel appreciated by her pack members. A small laugh bubbled up from her system as Luke nudged her with his shoulder, the small action meant to reinforce the compliments. Instead of denying them, she should accept them. The pair continued to eat, silence lapsing over them again as breakfast continued. With softened eyes, Wren watched as Zach and Tamlin returned from deeper within the territory, both looking rested, but the alabaster pup still looking exhausted. Hopefully, time would heal his wounds, as words seemed to only tear them open again.Time Skip: 2 Months
Icy tendrils of winter snaked through the forests, the heavy canopy of leaves having fallen and left no protection for the wolves living beneath them. Even the pines let snow sift through their branches, the powder settling in a thick blanket. The passing of time brought more than just a change in season. Over the season, Luke and Seven seemed to have a falling out, the inky female moving out of the Alpha's den and giving birth to her litter as an omega in a separate den. It was odd, to say the least. Neither seemed to hate the other, they both got on well enough to take care of their pups, but it was clear that there was no spark as she had seen before. She couldn't help but adore the pups. Each of the small beings seemed to breathe new life into the muted Noctis territory. Each new discovery they made was just adorable, and they were growing with every day. She had hoped that the birth of his own litter would assist him in getting over the loss of Feyre. His adopted daughter had left the territory as Lysandra had months before, but this time accompanied by Sasha as the pair branched off to explore new horizons.
Wren woke in the morning in her own den. After Luke promoted her to the Beta rank, she hadn't changed the location of her den, rather expanding it slightly just to fill out the rank humbly. It felt wrong to move into Zero's den, the ornery male had left a bad taste in Noctis' mouth after he left for moons, returned bloodied and half-dead before finally following through with something and passing in the commons. Sasha, she had respected far too much to take over her den. It just didn't feel right to move out of the den she had occupied for so many moons, so she merely expanded it slightly. With winter knocking at the mouth of her den, the huntress, now Beta, began to wake up.
The day still needed to be organized, jobs given out, possible patrols sent out, the potential for disputes between any pack members, a hunt if Luke decided the pack needed it. Stretching out all of the muscles frozen by sleep and sleet, amber eyes blinked open. She had been trying to wake herself up earlier than she had previously to adapt to the new responsibilities on her shoulders. There was more to be done now with only two superiors left after Seven was recast an omega, Yoki passed on during childbirth, Zero had publically died, and Sasha had left the pack. Luke seemed to share these responsibilities evenly with her, not letting too much strain lie on either of their shoulders at any time. The work was pleasant, she and Luke growing into a cohesive team that could get nearly anything done.
Emerging from her den, orange met a trained wine gaze almost instantly, a smile growing onto her face as she approached the russet male. It was commonplace these days for the two to meet and discuss the day before many others were awake. It was the quiet of the breeze in the calming morning that truly made it special. In just a short amount of time, tiny paws would be crunching through the snow as they explored and much larger paws would then plod towards the pair of superiors as they looked for jobs and instructions on how the day was planned. Gently padding through the snow, Wren greeted her Alpha with a quiet, cheery, "Good morning, Luke! Is there anything pressing that needs to be taken care of today?" For the most part, she knew about the goings on of the pack, but if Luke had something on his mind, that could take priority over the daily tasks she was thinking of.

Tamlin barely looked up from the ground as he walked back into the commons. As the pair of wolves were trudging, Luke's howl rang through the trees, a haunting echo only summoning them back and not offering any sort of hope. Maybe Luke would address the tragedy that had befallen the pack? He probably wouldn't. He hadn't even stayed in commons after two pale forms were dragged in, instead, taking two strangers and a group of adults to the hunting grounds. It was probably just a meal. Nothing of true importance. Approaching the vocal male, Tamlin merely listened in to the announcement. It was exactly as he expected. Nothing about Zero. Nothing about Aedion. It was as if the biggest event of his life was swept into the bushes, an unfortunate bump in the road. Tamlin almost chocked out a laugh of disbelief. Luke was so jovial; he was so... oblivious. Shaking his head, Tamlin avoided the corpse entirely, instead steering himself into his empty den despite his stomach's protests. There would be leftovers. There weren't as many mouths as before to eat the deer. Bitter thoughts followed the pup into the warren as the alabaster pup isolated himself from the rest of the pack. Time Skip: 2 Months Growth had been rapid and sudden for Tamlin. Over winter, his frame elongated and he filled out the stern features he was born with. The once lanky teen had metamorphosed into a 3'5" tall, 6'3" long yearling. However, his frame hadn't filled out with muscle. Instead, he was skinny, his ribs not a far cry from showing through a plush pelt, notably thinner than the rest of the pack that had bulked up for winter. Not to say that Tamlin was cold from winter's attacks, his suspected Yukon father handing down a plush pelt made for protecting against winter. He was almost like a phantom. Though Zach had become one of his friends, he had grown further from the pack that was supposed to be his family. He had tried to occupy his mind with the teachings of others, learning how to fights, how to hunt, even asking Hoshi to teach him some basic herbal knowledge. Now he knew enough, but had very little motivation. There was nothing to do in winter. Even with Seven's pups now bringing new life to the commons, it only served to spark jealousy of the family he lost. Not only had he lost family, but Feyre as well. The blazing she-wolf had left alongside Sasha, the pair going on an excursion as Lysandra had before, except this time without disastrous consequences. Walking out of his den into the bland expanse of white, jade eyes scanned the commons. Wren and Luke were awake, but that was nothing new. He had been waking up early frequently, using the early hours to walk through the territory before he returned to the commons, occasionally carrying a malnourished mouse or vole that he would eat. Tamlin had fallen mostly silent, most often only speaking when spoken to. He spends most of his time observing others, passively eavesdropping on many conversations in the common grounds. Currently, Tamlin abandoned his pattern of wandering, instead, digging himself a small ditch in the snow. Placing his pelt into the gap, the yearling blended into the snow almost entirely. Jade eyes and an ebony nose were the most notable features of the male remaining in the snow. He kept his ears open, listening to the only two voices conversing in the commons as he felt the snow bleed through his fur. Alpha Luke Paladin Zachariah

The healer was told to continue watching over Zero. It was the least she could do to help out. The beta was in an awful mess. While he was in a stable condition awhile ago, Hoshi found herself unsure whether he would pull through this. She reached out a paw and hovered it over his nose. Perhaps it would take him a few months or so to fully recover, if luck was on their side. After confirming that his breathing was normal, she tried to check his pulse. She lowered her head, ears pricking. Alarmingly, it seemed to be much weaker than before. With every second she listened to it, the slower his heart rate was. Alarm bells started ringing in the salutary's mind. Oh no, oh no. She frantically placed her front paws in the centre of Zero's chest, and tried giving him mini compressions. She had been doing so for awhile now. However, her efforts were proved to be futile, as soon, the drumming of his heartbeat quietly died away. He's gone. He's gone. It can't be true! She felt a huge lump in her throat, as the weight of the situation collapsed onto her. Tears began to fill her eyes once again. She had failed to save Zero, too. The tragic news she told Alpha Luke made her heart ache so badly. She had failed as a healer. She had expected the alpha to lead the pack in mourning the unfortunate deaths of both Aedion and Zero. Instead, he piped up with an excited announcement of their successful hunt. It didn't seem to lift Hoshi's spirits in any way. All he cares about is the hunt? What about the loss of two members of the pack? She couldn't help but feel anger towards their leader. He didn't even mention their names! Throughout the feast, she couldn't stop thinking about how Aedion and Zero had passed away. It was the most bitter meal she ever had. Time skip: 2 months Snow came down a few days ago. Everywhere was covered with the icy cold substance. Every paw forward, Hoshi felt a rather uncomfortable chill beneath it. Although she was up earlier than usual, she wasn't the earliest. The new beta and the alpha seemed to be discussing something in the distance. It seemed not long ago that the tragedy had struck Noctis, that everything seemed to turn upside down. Surveying the grounds, she could still remember the exact position where Zero lay at, angry wounds streaked across his body. She could still hear Tamlin's desperate screams for help echoeing in her mind. So much has happened ever since that day. Hoshi was genuinely happy for Wren's promotion, although it hurt to be reminded of Zero's passing. All of the younger ones, Luke and Seven's pups, were growing up. Even Tamlin had grown larger over these few months. Over the period of time, she had been trying out something new - stocking the herbs up in her den. Maybe it would be much more convenient in times of emergencies. Her collection of herbs was slowly growing, much to her satisfaction. She still needed to find more comfrey and ferns. It probably wasn't the best season to go looking for herbs, but it couldn't hurt to try. Sniffing the ground in search of them, she came across "fluffy snow" which she nearly stepped on by accident. Her eyes were instantly drawn to the beady jade eyes, which she instantly recognised. "Good morning," she greeted. "Watcha doing?"

Just as the pair got back to the commons, the alpha and the other superiors who had gone to the reunion with Somnus had gotten back as well, dragging the fallen prey that would most surely become their meal in about minutes. Howling to mark his cometh, the alpha waited patiently for all Noctis's member out there to reunite on the commons, rather conviniently for the eurasian grey and the pup. "Seems like the hunt went well, eh Tam?"Once everyone was present, the leader spoke: "Our hunt with the Somnus superiors went well. They sadly had to depart soon after, congratulations are in order, but we would not have made this kill successful if it had not been for Wren's expert planning and tactical help. Now, let's feast!". He spoke with a jovial tone, despite everybody's face ebing that of gloom. Did nobody tell 'em?Well, he wasn't going to. Zack had gone and done enough for today, and it was good to have some good news. Also, a giant prey was in front of him so it wasn't exactly time to complain. Ripping off a part of the dead animal, the male enjoyed the most out of his meal. "At last some good fucking food. Hey Tam, want s-". Looking at his side, he could not locate his little friend. Looking around the place, the warrior managed to locate Tamlin, looking down, and going straight to his den. Sighing, he looked at his other packmates. "He'll be okay, kid just needs a little time."
TWO MONTH TIME SKIP Two months had passed since the Noctis/Somnus hunt. Some had changed, but most was still the same. Wren got the Beta position and the alpha folks had somewhat of a love fall or something. Go figure, the important part is that Seven wasn't the alphess anymore. Yawning, Zack stretched his legs, preparing to finally go out of his den after a good night of sleep. Out in the commons, still a bit dizzy, he could see that four other members were up already. Wren and Luke talking, and Hoshi and Tam doing the same. The warrior considered going to his leader's position to see if there was any task to complete but went against it. Aside from it being morning and not exactly being in the mood to do jackshit, he had noticed that Tamlin had been more isolated lately, not exactly as social as he used to be. So, almost as a routine now, he'd go check up on the kid first, thing that Hoshi was already doing apparently. Walking up to them, Zack greeted. "Mornin', kid, Salutary". Immobile, the yearling lay concealed as the pack began to stir. Already, it seemed that two additional sets of paws had clambered out of frozen dens. Without bothering to move his head, Tamlin let the two wolves remain anonymous. Their morning routines had nothing to do with his; who was he to interrupt them? If it was Zach that happened to awaken, it was almost certain that the lumbering warrior would come looking for him. Despite Tamlin's silent denials of the male's morning company, the alabaster pup never had the heart to ask the male to leave. It was nice to have the company, but that sentiment was only held within a fraction of his brain. The rest of his mind preferred to be alone, safe within his birth pack but isolated from its members. Smaller paws brushed over his camouflage first, definitely not belonging to Zachariah. "Good morning, whatcha doing?" a voice he recognized easily as Hoshi chirped from his side. The massive yearling merely flicked an ear towards her, jade optics remaining fixed forwards onto the trees. There was another set of paws approaching him, he wasn't about to be bothered responding until the wolf, likely Zachariah, had reached him. "Mornin', kid, Salutary," the voice he predicted greeted the pair of wolves. At last, Tamlin began to respond to his company. Pushing himself up onto his paws, the yearling remained in a sitting position. Beneath where he had lain, shoots of dry grass leftover from autumn were exposed by the melted snow. Large claws tore at the strands while sharp eyes finally looked up at the wolves around him. He gave a small nod to Zachariah before his main focus ended up on Hoshi. "Morning. I'm waiting. Waiting for something to happen, to be told something to do, for the day to start. What else is there to do, hm?" the yearling's deepened voice was low and quiet, no particular tone adding emphasis to his words. With a slow blink, he turned his attention back to Zach. He was almost as large as the warrior now. The days of being carried on the male's shoulders were long gone. If he took better care of himself, he theorized that he would one day be able to carry the russet male. As of now, Tamlin would barely be able to carry Hoshi. Though he towered over the Salutary, Tamlin was just useless enough to be unable to carry any pack member other than Seven's pups. Salutary Hoshi Paladin Zachariah
