While strolling across the commons, the two talked briefly about their winters."Well, I guess it's about time your pups would be waking up." Hoshi remarked, casting a glance at the den in the distance. "Perhaps we should head back." Swishing her tail, Hoshi turned and made her way back to Seven's den, padding across the icy terrain. Careful not to accidentally kick snow into the warmths of the den, Hoshi slowed to a halt. "If you ever need anything, feel free to approach me." she smiled. "Continue to stay strong. Thongs might be a little shaky now, but you'll pull through it. Things would eventually get better."
Hoshi's ears tweaked a little, listening to the new sounds outside the den that broke the silence. She looked over at the two healthy pups all snuggled up together, snoring away peacefully. "I'd better get going. I shouldn't intrude any longer," she whispered, before leaving the den. Emerging from the shadows of the den, she felt the icy blast of the winter winds. She took a few steps out, realising that there were several crunches of snow which did not belong to her. Gazing up, Hoshi caught the sight of three wolves in the distance. Two of which she recognised - their Alpha and Beta. The third wolf, however, didn't seem to come from their pack. She was shorter than the two, covered in a pelt of cream and light brown. Her scent confirmed that she was not from their pack. “This is the commons, in that den over there is our Salutary. I suggest you wait to introduce yourself until she’s done. There is a hunting party out as well. If we’re lucky we’ll be able to have a good meal tonight,” Hoshi heard Luke's low voice introducing the new one to their pack. A new member of the pack. They hadn't had any new additions in a long time.
Emerald eyes watched as the Alpha asked Wren out for a little walk, dismissing the new wolf. Excitedly, the beta agreed, before heading towards the misty lake along with the Alpha. Hoshi was starting to wonder whether the two had fallen for each other as she made her way towards where the new wolf stood at. Was it possible that Luke now loves Wren? Hoshi thought about Seven, how she would take this. She felt a little surge of worry for Seven. She hoped the Omega would be alright, and that she wouldn't fall into her gloomy state again. As she approached the new lady, Hoshi's thoughts about the subtle love between the duo shifted to the new she-wolf. Hoshi stopped right before her, a warm, friendly smile stretched on her face. "Hi, I'm Hoshi, Salutary." she chirped. 'You're new here, aren't you? What's your name?"

Soft voices permeated the stillness of the crisp morning, a melody to the rhythm of the two wolves’ crunching steps in the snow. Seven was grateful for the idle conversation between the pair as they wound their way through the glistening forest landscape; how long had it been since she’d had a simple conversation like this one? How long since she’d simply made time for a friend? Though she and Hoshi had spoken briefly of some heavy topics for the ebony she, she felt immensely lightened. The salutary, it seemed, truly knew how to care for her packmates in a great many ways. As their path began to wind back toward the main encampment, Hoshi declared, “Well, I guess it’s about time your pups would be waking up. Perhaps we should head back.” The raven omega bobbed her head in agreement, her eyes flicking toward her new den, within the warm walls of which her two pups were surely still dreaming soundly. The pair picked their way across the icy commonground, pausing just before the mouth of the den. Even as Seven began to slip into the narrow opening, the salutary’s voice called to her. “If you ever need anything,” the kindly she-wolf said, “feel free to approach me.” With a smile, she went on, “Continue to stay strong. Things might be a little shaky now, but you’ll pull through it. Things would eventually get better.”Seven felt pinpricks behind her eyes as her head swiveled to meet her packmate’s gaze. Her voice was thick with earnest gratitude as she replied, “Thank you, Hoshi - for everything. I extend the same promise to you as well; I’ll always be here.” With that, the young mother nodded in farewell to her newfound friend and swept away into the cozy embrace of her den. A faint haze of golden light illuminated the space, making visible the forms of two small bundles, curled together upon the moss and dust of the den floor. The two males, one pale and one mottled - a coat that promised to one day match his father’s, did not stir as their mother crept into the den. Seven’s features softened as they always did when she gazed upon her offspring - her pride and joy, her very heart. A large part of the female wished simply to let them keep on sleeping, to preserve that peace and bliss. However, Hoshi was correct; it was time for them to rise, just as it was time for Seven to face the day ahead. Gently as could be, the onyx omega’s muzzle dropped near the floor of the den, nudging against each of her children in turn; Makoto first, and then Haruka. As her sons raised their heads and turned bleary eyes on the world, she would greet them with a mother’s doting timbre, “Good morning, my darlings.”

General Ozmond of noctis They dragged the kill back to the commons, he dropped his portion and pulled away. Shaking his pelt out and rolling his shoulders, turning his left and right to loosen his tight muscles. Looking around he spotted Hoshi, Seven, and a new female. A small smile her way before he threw his head back to howl for Luke and Wren. They would wait for Luke to show up before eating, until then he was curious about this new she-wolf. " Good day," he spoke up, a wag of his tail in greeting. " I'm Ozmond, General here, I'm assuming you must be the new wolf that Luke got from the borders?" a warm smile gracing his features as he talked with this new stranger. " We are waiting on Luke to return before we dine, afterwards I'm thinking of hosting a small training session called Prey and Predator, if you would like to join?" @ladislava Alpha Luke Alphess Wren @aili Hunting Superior Ater Paladin Zachariah Salutary Hoshi @seven

Bringing the doe back to the commons was easy enough, and they were there before she knew it. They would have to wait for Luke to come back before they were able to dig into the meal, as was custom in Noctis. She had only been present a couple times when Luke had broke custom and had allowed a pack member to eat before him. That usually happened when a wolf came of age, and gained a new rank, or someone was promoted to being a superior amongst the pack. Either way, Ater was always one of the last ones to eat. She had participated in the hunt sure, but making sure that her pack members were fed was simply more important than her own hunger. Looking towards the others that were currently gathered, she noticed a new face in the commons. It was probably a wolf that Luke and Wren had encountered at the borders. Since Ozmond was already engaging her in conversation while they awaited the return of their Alpha, she opted to stay closer to Zachariah. She knew the male as her pack member. She knew his name and rank, but she didn’t know that much about him. “So Zach, tell me,” She said, her gaze not leaving from the new she-wolf. “What made you join Noctis? Or want to join?” She asked him. It was a simple question, joining a pack usually had a motive behind it, whether it be simply for the protection from the rogue life, or for a stronger purpose. Who knew what the stoic male beside her would have joined for. The past couple of months she had assigned herself to her duties, hardly taking the time away to actually see what was happening in the pack to really feel connected with her pack members. That time was over, and she knew that she had to work on her relationships with others more so than the goals and whims that she came up with for herself. Her current goal was to at least make a friend in the pack that she could talk to, or work towards her goals with. Maybe Zachariah would be that wolf. @ozmond @ladislava Paladin Zachariah

When Aili finally allowed the carcass to drop from her jaws, slight sanguine drops contrasting white and tipping her teeth from the grip she had held on the meaty leg. The rarest of smiles now apparent on her mouth instead of the hulk of fresh kill, she scanned the area for the wolf she felt closest to, Wren. For some reason, Aili felt the urge to make it known that she felt changed, that she felt good, and that she felt like she finally belonged. That her hole in her field had finally been filled; she wanted to be exasperated and exert her feelings, not keep them to herself. But as the young rosey-colored female's golden eyes scanned the common grounds, she found many a wolf but all of whom lacked the familiar coat of the female she had arrived to the pack with. Her smile slowly starts to falter a bit as she continues to look, but not out of dissipating happiness, only out of continued search for the Beta. However, it seems Wren is absent. That's right, Aili thinks, pursing her lips in thought. Her and Luke must have wandered elsewhere to talk about pack politics. Shrugging it off, figuring she will be able to express herself to Wren later. Instead, she absentmindedly, and lacking of anything else to do, she follows Ozmond, who sought to greet a new wolf. Aili peels her eyes away from looking over her shoulder at the edges of the Commons and turns her honey gaze to the female in front of her. "Good day," Ozmond says with his usual friendly demeanor. "I'm Ozmond, general here. I'm assuming you must be the new wolf that Luke got from the borders? We are waiting on Luke to reutrn before we dine; afterwards I'm thinking of hosting a small training session called Prey and Predator, would you like to join?" Aili looked towards Ozmond as he spoke then turned her eyes back to the newcomer, giving her a small smile. While those were rare for Aili, she was on a high right now and felt it would only get better as the day went on. It seemed the productive days were the best for Aili, considering she had no friends to occupy her time when there was nothing for her to do. Thus was why she always kept herself busy by doing any minor tasks she could think of that may be of assistance to the pack, avoiding busywork. Maybe this focus of time on tasks instead of building relationships pointed to the lack thereof, though Aili had resolved this day to change that. @ozmond @ladislava Alphess Wren

| The howl that had come from the commons was not presently on his mind, instead, it was the words that were spoken between himself and Wren. How everything had spiralled into them admitting their feelings for each other. Now, he wasn’t sure how to act on them. How would the pack react? How would Seven react? The she-wolf he had previously been with was still in the pack, and was harboring his pups no less. How was she going to feel about the fact that he had found himself a new mate while she fed and kept their young alive? He wasn’t quite sure how to bring it up to her, and therefore, he would wait to see what Wren would say. Maybe she would have a better idea on how to approach the other with the topic. Otherwise, the others might react differently. Would they approve of a new Alphess? Or would they still be a bit reluctant because of Seven’s departure from the rank? Only telling them would reveal the answers, but for the first time, he was nervous to tell his subordinates this. Instead, he would detour the conversation to the hunt, as it was successful, and he would want to know how the yearlings did on their first hunt.
Entering the commons after taking his time to get there, thoughts rushing in and out as he kept trying to find a way to plausibly tell everyone about what happened, he knew that there was only going to be one solution; tell them and see how it goes. They couldn’t really question him, and if they did, they could leave the pack. Not that he wanted any of them to. But if they were going to question their Alpha, what was the point in remaining under their leadership? He enjoyed the company of every wolf in his pack, and the thought of them abandoning frightened him, but he knew that it was indeed part of pack life. Disputes happened in the ranks, and wolves left depending on if they felt like they belonged or not. Seeing that there was a doe laying, neck completely ripped out, on the ground, cranberry eyes looked to Ozmond who had busied himself talking with Ladislava, the new she-wolf. He would however, redirect his attention towards him, as he approached and cleared his throat.
“Not to interrupt, but I would like a report on how Aili and Tamlin did, and anything that’s worth mentioning,” He spoke, holding the position he fell so comfortably into. Ozmond, along with Wren, had been one of the pack members that had been with his pack the longest, being one of the senior members, and one of the wolves that Luke trusted the most. They had their bouts here and there where they didn’t see eye to eye, but Luke knew that Ozmond was a good wolf, and that he was only simply looking out for the welfare of the pack. Luke was lucky to have him as his general. He flicked his tail, waiting patiently for the answer before he took note of anything Ozmond said, and turned towards the kill and the others.
“I would like to congratulate Aili and Tamlin for a well thought out and well executed hunt,” He started, looking over all of his pack members, eyes resting on the newest member. “As some of you have noticed, we have a new wolf in our ranks. Her name is Ladislava. She remains as an Omega, but will potentially be working with Hoshi as one of our Salutary wolves in the future,” He gave her a dip of his head before he brought himself to the kill, his talking clearly over as he dug into the carcass, pulling out a large chunk and taking it away, heading away from the kill to allow Wren to pick her share, and then Ozmond, and so on and so forth. He tore into the meat, enjoying the flavor as his muzzle slowly became covered in blood, and he watched his pack members exchange small talk, if they were to do so. He would hope that Wren would come sit near him, but he wasn’t sure how comfortable she was showing that they were much closer than most thought they were.

WORK CAN BE FUN IF YOU LAUGH A LITTLE
On their walk back, Wren could tell that her mate was lost far in thought. She'd seen him like this before, before she was even the Beta, after Sasha and Feyre left, and after Zero and Yoki's deaths. It was a hard time for the entire pack, but they had managed to survive. Bumping his shoulder as they reached the outskirts of the commons, she murmured to the male with furrowed russet brows, "Don't worry, it'll be okay." Truthfully, she was worried about how her pack mates would react. Seven was a topic that she didn't know how to approach without it being awkward as all heck, especially with Haruka and Makoto. Wren felt no harsh feelings towards Seven at all, if anything, she was hoping that they could remain on good terms. Aili was another wolf she was worried about. She considered them friends, but they hadn't gotten to talk much recently. Hopefully the younger she-wolf wouldn't take to hard to the news.
Her eyes were drawn instantly to the bloodied doe dragged into the commons by the hunting party. It was odd to see so much blood from the hunt, but with its fate just as bloody, it was hardly a concern. Her instincts as a lover of the hunt was to then scan the hunters themselves, looking for any injuries that Hoshi may need to treat. At first pass, there weren't any, thankfully. Ozmond and the new wolf, Ladislava seemed to be at the beginning of a conversation as Luke approached, asking about how the hunt had fared. The cream-based she-wolf was curious to that as well, sticking close, but not too close, to her mates side as the General explained.
“I would like to congratulate Aili and Tamlin for a well thought out and well executed hunt. As some of you have noticed, we have a new wolf in our ranks. Her name is Ladislava. She remains as an Omega, but will potentially be working with Hoshi as one of our Salutary wolves in the future,” the russet male explained before moving towards the kill. Wren followed suit, her mind overthinking things. Naturally, she would take from the doe second, that's what Beta's did. How were they going to bring it up to the pack that she had progressed up the ranks further and was now the Alphess? Should she try to play it cool, as if nothing had changed as of yet? Yes, she decided, that's the strategy she would try. Ripping off a chunk of shoulder meat, the secret Alphess took her place a short distance from Luke, one she had normally taken in previous meals. Though she longed to inch closer to her mate, she didn't want to spark rumors that could spiral out of control within the pack, or to possibly offend Seven or Aili by not telling them first.

Ladislava follows contentedly after the alpha and beta, ears pricked with interest as they enter the heart of the territory: the commons. So many scents overlapped here, and the tracks left by various paws were so extensive the the ground was practically bare of snow. This is the commons, in that den over there is the salutary. I suggest you wait to introduce yourself until she’s done. The lupess turns her attention to where Luke indicates, spying an orange wolf speaking jovially to a pitch-colored mother. She would, of course, keep her distance. It wouldn’t do to approach another wolf’s rebenok without there being any trust there first. There is a hunting party out as well. If we’re lucky we’ll be able to have a good meal tonight. With these words, the resident alpha leaves her to her own devices, and Ladislava turns critical brown eyes to the rest of the wolves present. Out of the corner of her eye she sees Luke and Wren leave together once more (and this only entertains her belief that they are together) just as the aforementioned salutary approaches. Hi, I’m Hoshi, salutary. You’re new here, aren’t you? Whats your name? Ladislava allows a true smile to curl her lips, gaze warm as she regards the other. ”I am Ladislava. I am pleased to meet you; I have some herbal knowledge as well, you see. I would love to compare notes with you sometime.” The thick-furred female dearly hopes she can eventually cultivate a relationship with this she-wolf, as she seemed friendly and genuine in her mannerisms. Just as she is about to open her maw to speak once more, however, the hunting party returns with a hearty kill in tow. A great brute of a male approaches, and her smile sours, just a tad - but remains present on her face. He introduces himself as Ozmond, the general (wonderful, he must hold some power), and invites her to join in on their training session. It was perfect, an opportunity to assess and get to know her new packmates fallen right into her paws. ”I would be happy to join you. My name is Ladislava, but Lava is fine too.” The bitch utters, and though she speaks directly to Ozmond, her introduction is loud enough to be heard by others in the commons as well. ”Though I must admit I have not played this game before.”Taking a moment to observe the hunting party, her gaze falls first to the two in the back, a young male and female that seemed content to talk among themselves for the moment - though the girl kept her eyes trained on Lava herself. She flicks her tail once, before moving her attention to the other young female beside Ozmond. A pretty little thing with a pelt of mottled browns and greys, a small smile painted upon her face. However, Ladislava knew better than to take any wolf at face value, and if she had helped take down such a prey animal then she must be strong indeed. The foreign wolf finds herself looking forward to this training exercise of theirs; it would certainly be informative.

"I am Ladislava. I am pleased to meet you." The salutary was greeted by the warm, friendly tone of the new-comer. "Lovely name," Hoshi complimented, smiling back. "I have some herbal knowledge as well, you see. I would love to compare notes with you sometime.”Another wolf who can heal too? Hoshi's ears pricked up almost instantly. An even wider grin extended on her snout, accompanied by the excited sparkle in her eyes. She felt suddenly energised by the idea of meeting another wolf who knows about herbs too, and couldn't help but let her tail wag vigorously behind. Another Salutary, maybe? "Ooo, we can work as a team!! I can't wait to learn more about herbs from you." Hoshi gushed, practically bouncing. She watched as the brown-coated she-wolf opened her mouth, but was interrupted by the return of the hunting party. Turning her head slightly, emerald eyes watched as the four of them each sank their teeth into a portion of the meet, carefully dragging the lifeless deer across the Commons in unison. "Good day." Ozmond's low voice announced his arrival. "General. Warrior," Hoshi greeted, dipping her head slightly in a polite bow. "Ater, Aili, Tamlin." "I'm Ozmond, General here, I'm assuming you must be the new wolf that Luke got from the borders? We are waiting on Luke to return before we dine, afterwards I'm thinking of hosting a small training session called Prey and Predator, if you would like to join?" the General suggested, welcoming the new one. Listening to Ladislava's response, Hoshi smiled once more. She'll fit right in our pack.In the distance, the Alpha and Beta pair returned from their little walk, probably to keep a lookout for more new wolves in the area. “I would like to congratulate Aili and Tamlin for a well thought out and well executed hunt." Luke's voice breezed into the Commons with a compliment. Hoshi smiled brightly at the two young ones. "As some of you have noticed, we have a new wolf in our ranks. Her name is Ladislava. She remains as an Omega, but will potentially be working with Hoshi as one of our Salutary wolves in the future.” Bubbling with excitement, Hoshi lit up almost immediately after hearing that Ladislava would eventually be Noctis' second salutary, as she had guessed. She turned excitedly to share a gaze with the Omega, beaming positively. Oh, she just couldn't wait to work with her. Ladislava seemed like a genuinely pleasant and friendly wolf, someone Hoshi knew she would love as a partner at her job. "I've been waiting forever for someone to work with!!" Hoshi exclaimed, turning towards Ladislava. Luke made his way towards the kill, starting the pack's meal off with a refreshing bite of his own. Wren was next, taking her new position as the Beta. Instantly, Hoshi thought of Seven who had always been second to relinquish the sumptuous meal, and felt a wave of sadness for the past Alphess. Where's Seven? Hoshi looked across the Commons to see the charcoal-furred female still under the shadow of her den, along with her two lovely pups. Swishing her tail, Hoshi made her way towards the other Omega. "Seven, breakfast's here," Hoshi smiled as she watched the two siblings stir. Upon arriving at the Commons with the kill on their jaws, Zachariah, just as the rest of the party did, noticed an unknown face amidst all the familiar ones. A new female it seemed, tall and sporting a light brown coat. The warrior noticed Ozmond go straight towards the stranger for his personal introduction, smiling and considering to follow the superior, maybe meet this new girl and get to at least know her name. “So Zach, tell me,” the voice of Ater came from behind him, making Zack turn around to watch the hunter. She seemed to have noticed the newcomer aswell, her eyes solely focused on the newest addition to Noctis. “What made you join Noctis? Or want to join?” she asked curiously. Zachariah smiled at her, they hadn't had much talk in all their time together as pack members, perhaps it was about time? "Well..," the gray male started off, interrupted by a howl, followed by their Alpha´s after-hunt speech. Luke congratulated both Tam and Aili on their hunt performance and gave out the not-so-news to everyone. “As some of you have noticed, we have a new wolf in our ranks. Her name is Ladislava. She remains as an Omega, but will potentially be working with Hoshi as one of our Salutary wolves in the future,” finished their leader, as he dug into the corpse to get his share of the kill. "As I was saying, Ater," the male continued, watching as the higher ranking wolves got their meal in order. "I just wandered off from my last pack, not on bad terms but, ya know, just wanted to create my own path," said Zack, remembering his siblings, wondering what the brats were up to these days. His turn to eat came, and the warrior made sure to enjoy it, taking his time savouring the meat. Once he sees Ater go for her part, Zachariah will ask her "What about you, though? How did ya end up in Noctis?"

Seven was still crouched within the shade of her den, watching over her stirring sons, when voices began to float in from the outside world. She recognized the friendly timbre of Ozmond’s voice over the chatter - the hunting party must have returned. The meal wouldn’t be until after Luke and Wren returned, of course. In the meantime, she was content to stay here, where she had been happiest the past months. Golden eyes watched Haruka and Makoto, as slow to rouse as ever, with a peace they had sorely lacked in the past few months. Minutes stretched on as the onyx she-wolf stood with her sons, but they seemed to end all too quickly as Luke’s voice cut through the air. Seven left her sons’ side for a moment, peeking her head out of the den so as not to miss her alpha’s speech. A pang of sadness rippled through her; she had behaved as ever the dutiful omega over the past few weeks, pretending she hadn’t sometimes forgotten early on that she couldn’t look at the alpha and see her mate. Pretending she didn’t picture herself beside him on the worse days, wishing futilely to feel just a shred of that joy and pride once more. Pretending it had never happened at all. She wondered how easy it was to see right through her. Luke had been congratulating Aili and Tamlin on a well-performed hunt when Seven pushed out of her den. Now, she hung just beyond it’s entrance, a fair distance from the others but close enough to listen as he continued, “As some of you have noticed, we have a new wolf in our ranks. Her name is Ladislava.” Pitch ears perked at that. The female’s eyes roved over the assembled wolves, finding the flaxen foreigner for the first time. How lovely she was! “She remains as an Omega, but will potentially be working with Hoshi as one of our Salutary wolves in the future.” Seven smiled broadly at that. She had not been given a rank when her relationship had dissolved. Perhaps she would have a companion now! It would be a wonderful experience for Hoshi as well; Seven was quite certain the flame-mottled salutary would be thrilled to have a partner. Seven watched for a moment longer as look stepped up to the doe brought back by the hunting party to take the first bite. She then ducked back into the den. “Alright, boys,” she said, firmly but not unkindly, “it’s time to get up now. You’ll miss the meal if you sleep in much longer.” If that didn’t encourage her sons to rise, little would. They had been weaned not so long ago, but their appetites already reflected their rapid growth. “Seven, breakfast’s here!” The soft, cheerful voice of the salutary floated to Seven, from nearby. The she-wolf turned, finding Hoshi silhouetted near the den’s entrance, smiling down at the raven omega and her sons. “Morning, Makoto and Haruka.”The former alphess beamed as her pups yapped their sleepy hellos to Hoshi, having finally rolled to their paws. “Yes, thank you, Hoshi,” Seven said. “We’ll be up shortly.” She turned her attention back to her sons, nudging them ahead of her. “Come on, you two. You’re not so big yet that I can’t pick you up and carry you outside if you don’t get a move on.”
Finally, Seven reemerged into the snow, Haruka and Makoto ahead of her. She padded through the chilled morning toward the small gathering. She wasn’t sure who had and hadn’t eaten already, so she would wait for a bit - she was meant to be last, now. The raven female would eat with Ladislava, toward whom she now padded. She didn't cast her glance toward where her former mate now sat with Wren, but offered smiles to any of her packmates who looked her way, and a brief greeting to Tamlin. She had grown fond of the young but gargantuan male in the past months, after having sought to provide him with comfort following the successive losses of his siblings. Seven finally came to a stop when she reached the smaller, pale newcomer. Out of the corner of her eye, she habitually watched as her sons tussled, romped, and otherwise did as they pleased through the snow, trusting them to keep out of trouble, lest she intervene herself. “Good morning, Ladislava,” she said with a sunny sort of cheer. There was no need to make a downtrodden first impression. “It’s lovely to meet you. I am Seven, the - ah, well, the other omega.” She chuckled a bit, though she wondered if the sound was more deflated than her earlier tone. It wasn’t that she had almost introduced herself as the alphess; she had been situated in her new rank for long enough to avoid that issue. However, this was the first time since soon after her arrival that she had introduced herself as an omega. It was a new feeling that left a shard of regret sinking in her chest - a feeling she sharply chided herself for. “I suppose it’s just you and I for now, yes? Though you’ll have your paws plenty full collaborating with Hoshi,” the ebony female added with a wink.

Ater’s attention was caught for a moment by the Alpha and Beta returning to the commons, seeing them alerted her to stop conversation for just a moment while Luke spoke. He addressed the hunt as a success, and her heart fluttered with happiness for the yearlings that were slowly gaining their place within the pack. It would be a slow process, but Luke would reward them in the end for their hard work, she knew that much. Looking to the new she-wolf by the name of Ladislava, she gave her a small nod of greeting. They would exchange formalities later. However, it was time to eat. She decided that she’d eat with Zack, and as he took his piece of meat, she quickly followed, getting a good chunk that she drug back with her to rest alongside the male. The meat was tasty to say the least, appealing to her taste buds. As she had heard Zack’s answer, she looked towards the male with a small nod. He asked her how she had gotten here, and honestly, the she-wolf could hardly remember. “I was searching for a purpose, some place I could finally call home and strive towards the goals I’ve set for myself,” She replied, looking to him. “Not as sad as you were thinking huh?” She remarked. Ater’s personality had gone from being stone cold, to feeling worthless, to finally opening up to others. To say that others didn’t know much about her, was an understatement. But she was willing to change that. Paladin Zachariah

As they dragged their kill back, the hulking yearling dropped its leg as the rest of the hunting party did the same. A doe this big would do well to feed the pack, even though she was skinny from the winter. Cool jade eyes scanned the commons, landing on the two superiors returning, and a new face. “I would like to congratulate Aili and Tamlin for a well thought out and well-executed hunt. As some of you have noticed, we have a new wolf in our ranks. Her name is Ladislava. She remains as an Omega, but will potentially be working with Hoshi as one of our Salutary wolves in the future,” Luke declared before moving in to eat from the kill. Pausing until it was his turn to eat, Tamlin tore off a chunk of flank from the doe. Stepping a good distance away, the praise from his Alpha had slowly worn off until he was settled back into his emotionless, hollow state. Silently, he began to chew on his meat, watching Zach and Ater speak, and the new wolf, Ladislava, talking with Ozmond. He gave Seven a small nod of acknowledgment as she greeted him. Tamlin caught a glimpse of Luke's two sons. Was he ever that young? Certainly once upon a time he had followed in their exact footsteps with a body just as small and a heart just as full. And now look where he was. Sitting alone, left without a true family, and simply existing well within Noctis. Surely these boys wouldn't suffer his fate. "I would like to congratulate Aili and Tamlin for a well thought out and well-executed hunt. As some of you have noticed, we have a new wolf in our ranks. Her name is Ladislava. She remains as an Omega, but will potentially be working with Hoshi as one of our Salutary wolves in the future," the voice of their Alpha booms over the commons, penetrating Aili's ears with its praise. The Alpha continues with his familiar routine of taking his share first and then going off to eat his meal in peace. In the peripherals of her vision, the familiar form of Wren, the very she-wolf she had been searching for minutes ago, sets off an alarm in Aili's mind, and her paws seem to buzz as she waits her turn. Finally, she rips a fair-sized chunk of her own and begins to trot over to the female she felt closest to, so that she may express herself. As she carries herself over with her meal hanging from her maw, she notices her hunting partner, Tamlin, eating alone. Her walk slowing a bit, she debates in her head the outcomes of saying something to him. Deciding it can't hurt, on her way, she stops briefly and looks down at the male. "Nice job out there today," she squeezes out around the meat in her mouth, before turning her head back and continuing on her way to Wren. Finally at the female's side, hopping she was not being too obnoxious, she drops her meat a couple of feet away and looks at the Beta with a smile. "Wren," she says, very slightly exasperated. "I cannot believe how much fun that was," she says, looking up to the sky for a brief moment, as if she may find an explanation there. Alphess Wren Warrior Tamlin

WORK CAN BE FUN IF YOU LAUGH A LITTLE
The meal brought down by the hunting party was delicious. The flavor of the doe was a welcome distraction from the anxiety that simmered beneath her outwardly calm exterior. Soon enough they would have to break the news of her new status, but with such a delicate matter as Seven and Luke's sons, that weighed heavily on her heart. The finding of love at last came with a burden of the past as real and tangible as the deer she ate.
"Wren," her name being called by a familiar voice brought her a bit of comfort, "I cannot believe how much fun that was." Aili's frame plopping down close by and exclaiming her enjoyment of the hunt brought a smile to the secret Alphess' face. A successful hunt was always the most fun, especially with friends. "I haven't been able to hunt in a while, hopefully we can go to the next one together!" the blanketed she-wolf responded happily, licking her jowls to clean them of the kill's blood. Licking her chest to clean up any stray drops of blood, she turned back to her younger friend, "What's your favorite prey that you've ever taken down?"
