As time passed, Khloie would gently lay her kill upon the ground, taking a seat protectively infront of her den. Were the boys asleep? She could only fondly imagine their two fluffy bodies all curled up next to each other for warmth in the autumn chill. The ever so young she-wolf half considered waking them, but she realized with a start that this was a rare moment where she could rest, and that she needed. The thought was tempting, so she would lower her fluff-covered body to the floor, letting her head rest lazily on her paws. The fact that she was so young of a mother made her life all the more challenging. She was only a few months passed a yearling, and she now had two needy pups to take care of rather than exploring her talents, or traveling the world aimlessly like many of the young adults did. Mating with her significant other proved to be a terrible idea from the start, but Khloie couldn't bring herself to hate herself or her ex mate for it. It was too late to change the past anyways, and she wouldn't give her pups up for the world.
As always, while the she-wolf nodded off she kept an ear perked, carefully always listening for danger. In the event that she or her pups were under attack, she couldn't allow herself to drift to an almost lifeless sleep simply because she was that exhausted. Unfortunately, little time had passed before the sound of approaching pawsteps sent her eyelids flying open. The figure was familiar, but still drunk in sleep Khloie had to let her eyes adjust to the hazy figure. The mother assumed a threatening position, a low growl escaping her maw, daring the intruder to come any closer. That was when her vision finally cleared, slowly but surely, revealing that this intruder was, well, still an intruder to her. Valentino had returned, but Khloie wasn't so quick to welcome the huge wolf. "Khloie," he began, her eyes narrowing in disbelief and annoyance. Why should he care to return after he had left her for so long? So that she would baby him again? She noticed quickly that the air was now filled the scent of fresh blood, an angry and inflamed wound ripe for an infection to start. How an infection hadn't grown all this time was beyond her. "I'm sorry for being gone so long but I didn't want to return empty handed," he continued before laying down a ways away. What gave him the right to make himself at home again?? A growl resumed in her throat, rumbling in her chest to indicate that he wasn't as welcome as he thought. This almost seemed like an act, to smooch some affection out of her and time she didn't have. "I'm really sorry, please forgive me... Khlo" The she-wolf shook her head violently, tail lashing behind her at the thought of that nick name. "Wonderful to see your face, Val, after what," her eyes shot up towards the sky in thought for a moment. "A month?!" the she-wolf cut off there, remembering that her pups were at earshot of all of this. Khloie took a few angry steps forward, lowering her voice to that only Valentino could make out. "You left me alone for a month, and you expect me to forgive you? I wouldn't have cared if you came back with nothing, but returning now, what, mainly because your wound could be the death of you? I don't have time to take care of three wolves, Val." her eyes were on the verge of tearing up, the thought of suffering for weeks on her own and thinking it was her fault he had left. She didn't even know if she could learn to trust him again, considering he was practically of no use to her anymore. She would have to treat him all over again to recovery on top of hunting to produce milk for her pups and keeping an eye on them.
Again, she closed her eyes and shook her head in disbelief, a loud sigh escaping her maw. She was ready to send him away. But he had sparked something inside her heart that she thought she would never find again. Sending him away wasn't so easy, but she was still too mad to care about him at the moment. "You are not my top priority. I'll re-treat you wound tonight only if I get the time." that was the only hint of emotion she could give to him for now. Surely he was hurt by her harsh words and considering if she even cared about him anymore, but it was his own fault for leaving her. For now, Khloie couldn't even trust that he would stay the night. Turning her head sharply, she would leave the male there, returning to her den once again. If he were to get any closer to her and her pups than where he currently lay, Khloie would be sure to make her warning clear. He was not welcome any closer to her pups. Not now, at least.
OOC: Sorry for the harshness of this xD She'll accept him again soon enough. So sorry for the wait! @valentino , Scout Azrath , @simon , @oshim

Theodosia "The Doll Was Perfect, A Dress Of Silk And Lace, Skin Of Blushing Porcelain And Eyes Of Jade Glass."
Theodosia swayed her tail in a warming motion, her face bright but her shyness still obvious with her gentle smile and folded ears. "Hi Theo! The name's Chasen. It's fine about the hunting thing, there's always an opportunity to learn," Theo bobbed her head gratefully, her face thankful. If worst came to worst, she could always opt to stay back and prepare for the use of herbs should, god forbid, anyone get injured. "Is there anything you'd like to hunt, Miss Peri?" Theo brought carefully placed pink eyes to the female's chin in preparation for what the pretty auburn wolf-dog might say. Chasen was met with words the coy-wolf found slightly stiff and dominating which caused the small canine to lower her ears further. "And I -" Cut off before she could finish by another wolf, hulking and shadowed which made the small coy-wolf allow herself a shudder. Theodosia pushed a smile onto her face as she looked up into his dark eyes, begging silently within her head that he wasn't here to hurt them. To hurt her. Stop being self-conscious and selfish.
“I apologize for my intrusion, but would a fourth wolf provide more help to your hunt?" Theo brought no input forward, only providing a tentative smile to try and ease the obvious energy that she felt around the wolf. She almost labeled it as anxiety or nerves but she wasn't quite sure. She was happy to find that the looming wolf didn't grow aggressive around either herself or her fellow hybrid.
"Hello, is it okay if I tag along with this little gathering?" Another wolf? This one caught her in an unsure manner as the female looked her up and down as if studying her coyote genes. Theodosia certainly wasn't awkward about her coyote heritage but being studied always made her shift. She didn't like the idea of being looked up and down, sized up and thought about without knowing anything yet. She felt it was odd, even impolite though she dared not say so, especially in front of wolves who obviously found it alright. Theo offered her a polite smile too, her face warm and welcoming.
"I am Paris," Ah, what a fitting name for the beautiful she-wolf. "You are all welcome to join our hunt. Given our numbers now, it would be safe to assume that we could, with little trouble, take down a deer. Me and Chasen, spotted a doe and an older fawn across the lake earlier. It might be a little trek, but their scent is still fresh. We could split into three and a pair, the pair going for the fawn as the others take down the doe. Otherwise we could only go for the mother, but the fawn is bound to die anyways." Theo swallowed, sweating anxiously under her fluffy coat. She was already growing back into the puffball she always became when the winter weather rolled in. Her eyes were drawn to the sky blue eyes of Paris, pleading without meaning to. Pleading for what? Perhaps that she be freed from the pressure of hunting. The coy-wolf knew that if she should be given a more important role in the grand hunt that she would fail from inexperience and from being wracked with nerves. The pressure itself would force into the fear of failing and that fear of failing would make her fail which would make her fear failing even more afterward and she would never bring herself to hunt in front of anyone ever ever again!
"What are your names?" The mousy brown canine jumped an inch, startled from her thoughts by Paris' sharp and quizzical voice. The coy-wolf pressed a smile onto her face as she tried desperately to drag herself from her worries. "It is truly wonderful to meet you both. My name is Theodosia though you can both call me Theo. I'm a bit of a newby to this group too." She giggled softly at her own words, hoping to lighten the serious mood. Her chiming laughter sounded melodic even in her own ears. The coy-wolf would perk her ears to hear their names before turning to the ruby trimmed wolf-dog with slight worry. "Miss Paris," She faltered, cherry blossom pink eyes searching for something to focus on before deciding on the female's snow hued chest. "Your majesty uh... highness I mean your leadership..." Stupid, stupid, stupid! Theodosia winced at her own stuttered and idiotic names and words. Now that you ruined it, just get on with it. "If we should end up hunting only one deer, might I stay behind and prepare herbs in case of injury? I have what has been called a wonderful understanding of herbs and salutary work, should my hunting skills be unneeded." Wonderful you idiot, that sounded just wonderful. Her gaze fell further downward, finding not even the wolf-dog's paws a suitable place to rest her rose pink gaze. Theo pushed herself back a step and managed to pull a soft and hopeful smile onto her triangular face, placid features worried and begging as she waited.

Valentino flicked ears to hist skull as Khloie growled out towards him. He only felt a pang of guilt and hurt as she moved forward. He immediately removed his eyes off her and when she got to whisper distance, he willingly rolled onto his back, exposing his stomach and carotid artery to her. His life was hers if she desired it. He did not know why but this was purely instinct at this point.
He flinched at her harsh words but deserved every phonetic. Slowly he let his eyes move towards her chest, she looked slightly better than she did when he had left. That was good. He was worried for her. But now he was questioning himself. Why did he stay away for so long, did he think that what he did was right? Of course not, but why did he stay away. Closing his eyes tightly, he let out a silent sigh of anxiousness.
Opening his eyes, Khloie had moved back towards the den. She had said it would be troublesome to keep care of three wolves. Rolling back to his stomach, he looked at her and the den. A small frown tugged at his lips while he laid there deep in thought. He would need to gain her trust back, but was she worth it? Looking back up, the way she sat there, he knew she was worth it. If she meant so much to him, why didn't he return? Fear? Was he afraid for the feelings he felt for her? Looking down and away he let out an audible sigh at his confusion again. Rising, he made no move to get closer towards her. Khloie was a mother and her pups meant more to her than a scarpy male like himself did. "I wont ask for more than treatement, I'll keep care of everything else for myself," he stated, at first. For a while he stood their in silence. Whatever she would say, he would take it without talk back. Finally moving a few steps back, he looked towards her, a face of determination taking over his features.
"Khloie, I do not expect your forgiveness, you deserve so much better than what I gave you. But know this, if you let me stay, if you let me continue to be by your side, I will spend every day, every waking moment making it up to you, I swear to you my life, it's yours," he said, his eyes hoping to meet hers to show her he was serious by the words he said. Depending on her reaction, if positive, he would lay down again but this time somewhere with more cover.
If her reaction was negative he would drop his head, "I understand, but I will still be around if you need me, I'll be in ear shot," he would comment before turning to find a decent temporary den where he can hear her and be close enough to help her, if needed.

His Queen began to speak, "And I.." Her voice was so rudely interrupted by a large male, much larger than himself. “I apologize for my intrusion, but would a fourth wolf provide more help to your hunt?" his voice rumbled. Chasen's hackles immediately bristled once more. This male knew about their hunt, how long had he been listening? Did he was to steal Chasen's Queen? His gaze seemed to say so. It was first drawn to Peri, as his had, but now that he was in her company, he didn't want this other male looking at her. Silver paws itched to step in front of Peri, his fangs bared in a bid to defend her, but the ebony male had shown non signs of aggression, and his gaze had already moved on. He stayed still. Besides, Peri would probably rip off his ear if he tried to be all possessive for no reason. Taking a deep breath, Chasen restarted his personal meeting with this other male. He seemed to be a full wolf. How boring. With the track record he had in the past hour or so, he was expecting some mutant fox thing to come meet him next.
"Hello, is it okay if I tag along with this little gathering ?" a female voice caught drew his attention away from the other male. Chocolate eyes raked over this new frame. Now his tail started wagged as he, in his mind, just gained another Queen to look after and fawn over. That is, if Peri would allow her to stay. She had the most authority of the group as of now, and Chasen was happy to be a close second in command. Catching a movement from Peri out of his peripherals, he changed his focus to his preliminary Queen and nodded back at her. "I am Paris," she began, startling him right off the bat. The slight jerk back of his head and widened eyes let anyone looking at him know how evidently surprised he was. Paris? Now he had two names! She had addressed five wolves and wolf hybrids using Paris, so that was likely the name Chasen would have to call her from now on. That is, unless he wanted to have a playful nickname for her and continue to call her Peri. Yup. That's what he was going to do.
"You are all welcome to join our hunt. Given our numbers now, it would be safe to assume that we could, with little trouble, take down a deer. Me and Chasen spotted a doe and an older fawn across the lake earlier. It might be a little trek, but their scent is still fresh. We could split into three and a pair, the pair going for the fawn as the others take down the doe. Otherwise we could only go for the mother, but the fawn is bound to die anyways. What are your names?" Peri directed like a natural. Theo introduced herself again, her child-like voice in a jovial tone. Her next words shocked him. "Miss Paris... Your majesty uh... highness I mean your leadership... If we should end up hunting only one deer, might I stay behind and prepare herbs in case of injury? I have what has been called a wonderful understanding of herbs and salutary work, should my hunting skills be unneeded."
It wasn't that Theo wanted to stay behind that was startling. Your Highness? Majesty? Those were pet names he could see himself calling her once she had warmed up to him a bit more. Was Theo crushing on Paris too? Both his ridiculous thought and Theo's little stumble drew an amused chuckle out of the silver male. At least she had other skills. Her lack of hunting skills could easily be replaced with her healing skills. That would be very useful if something drastic was to happen during the hunt. It was always a possibility. "I'd gladly hunt the fawn with you, Peri," Chasen lightly bumped the she-wolf-dog with his shoulder. Chocolate eyes sparkled with a flirtatious undertone as he swung his tail towards the back of her hind legs. She wasn't about to lose that nickname so quickly. Everyone else could call her Paris. Chasen was going to be the special one and call her Peri.

Lucifer didn’t seem to mind too much about the reaction he had received; the two hybrids both anxious at his arrival which was acceptable having simply intruded suddenly. But it was the male’s response that shifted his demeanor slightly. Ears pivoted forward while his skull rose high, it was a defense. For the male had threatened him, and he had every right to reply with just as much ill-manner. But his expression only became nonchalant, and irritated, showing no signs of aggression alike the other of his same sex. For Lucifer had found it quite rude, his approach had been rather claim and friendly, so why be so brash towards him. But his eyes caught the movement of the smaller wolf’s body, a barricade formed between him and the blue eyed wolf-dog. Lucifer scoffed internally.
Neck lowered his cranium ever so slowly, while his tail now hung low and lose again flowing freely with the breeze. He released a huff through his jaw as his body returned to a relaxed state, eyes every so often darting to the male in caution. Were they mates? He put this thought in question as the wolf-dog who named herself as ‘Paris’ explained the plan to hunt down a doe and fawn, seemed perfect to Lucifer. Hitting two birds with one stone. But she rather lacked the affection one would expect from two in love. But he choose to put the thought to rest as the coy-wolf spoke. The canine tiny compared to his size, looking down to her as she spoke.
But her words surprised him. They were in flattery to Paris, Lucifer was beginning to feel overwhelmed, did the wolf-dog have them under some sort of spell. Well yes… he would agree… she was indeed pretty. Her silky fur with bright pigmentation's of bronze that flowed across her body, and her tall and elegant frame was alluring. And she held quite an air of dominance around her, even so that the other male hadn’t chosen to step above her. But Lucifer would not fall for it, he couldn’t. Eyes narrowed in frustration, his mind trying block out the familiar name that always came to mind at such moments. The long lost she-wolf was no longer in his life anymore, he must move on.
"The name's Lucifer." He uttered. Still remaining rather quiet among the group, still uncomfortable with all the new faces.
"I'd gladly hunt the fawn with you, Peri,"
Eyes looked up to the pair at the sound of this. Luci’s expression was one of utter confusion at the stupidity expressed in those few words. If the two of them chose to go after the fawn then taking down the mother would be nothing but a waste of time. Lucifer did not wish to judge the younglings too harshly but they lacked in mass, and most probably, experience. They would prove extremely benificial in the art of speed only if the weight between them all was balanced; and having two of them with just Lucifer would just be an easy picking off for the doe.
Yellow optics darted to those of sapphire, a silent signal indicating of his disagreement to the statement just said by her companion. He prayed she had the insightfulness to notice such flaw.

When the white wolf-dog noticed Callie, Callie practically smirked when she noticed how she seemed a bit nervous although she could be wrong the idea of it amused her. - Perhaps she'll give up leading soon she doesn't seem too comfortable with the position although maybe I'm wrong- She refrained from speaking her thoughts although she was slightly tempted since she was feeling a bit chaotic. She shifted her gaze back to the small coy-wolf who also seemed a bit uncomfortable with Callies presence but nonetheless offered her a warm and welcoming smile , the gesture threw her off a bit but Callie simply looked at her flicked her ears and looked away - what an odd creature -.
Callies attention was once again shifted when the light colored wolfdog spoke explaining the hunt, what they were hunting and her plan. - Paris, strange name- the plan sounded okay to Callie so she sat there and didn't say anything until she heard the she-wolf ask for their names. Before Callie could speak the coy-wolf piped up, Callies tail flicked slightly, "It is truly wonderful to meet you both. My name is Theodosia though you can both call me Theo. I'm a bit of a newby to this group too" , the giddiness of this female irritated her a bit but once again before being able to reply the coy-wolf turned away and spoke to the light furred wolfdog. "Your majesty uh... highness I mean your leadership..." - what ?- the words of the coy-wolf confused Callie she shifted her paws slightly - this is getting odder by the second- Callie didn't let her confusion show as she focused back on the current events she realized that the coy-wolf had now finished speaking and now it was the gray toned male who had yet to introduce himself said that he would help "peri" hunt the fawn.
Callie had forgotten about the darker toned male not too far from her so when he spoke she was slightly startled but kept her composure " The names Lucifer ". " Well aren't you a chatterbox " Callie muttered to herself sarcastically, although if she had to choose a wolf to talk to out of the whole group it would most likely be him he didn't seem too annoying unlike the lighter toned male. Callie realized it was her turn to introduce herself, - well why not make quite the presentation - she thought to herself - or perhaps not - deciding to stay with her monotonous visage she simply said " Callie " before turning her attention back to the light toned female.

It was rather odd to Paris how Chasen had acted toward the new shadowy male. His fur bristled, and his welcoming was none too kind. Not terrible, but he held a different aura from her own mildly concerned stance before she accepted him into their group. Perhaps he was simply trying to stay aware of any possible attacks. That was smart, yes.
With new members, Theodosia re-introduced herself so that getting acquainted could be checked off the list, or at least that was how Paris viewed it. Before the two wolves could speak, though, her attention was drawn back to Theo as fumbled upon her words. The unique she-wolf could accept 'Miss Paris', but quickly she was being addressed in rather odd ways that she might have taken insultingly if it weren't for the fact that Theodosia obviously was nervous and didn't know what to say. Peri's icy blue hues narrowed slightly, brows furrowing a bit in confusion. Your Highness?? "If we should end up hunting only one deer, might I stay behind and prepare herbs in case of injury? I have what has been called a wonderful understanding of herbs and salutary work, should my hunting skills be unneeded." she finally would get out. Her orbs strayed toward the ground momentarily in thought. One deer would be enough to feed the five of them, but there would be little to no scraps left. She assumed the males would eat more, although she was quite hungry herself, used to only ever feeding herself off of small prey; quick and easy so that her throat wouldn't be caught in wolf fangs. The she-wolf eventually shook her head, a sympathetic gaze drawing back onto Theo. "I'm afraid it would be more efficient if we caught more than enough food for all of us. I'm not worried about rusty hunting skills. We all have to learn somewhere," she stated, offering a small, polite smile.
A few seconds of silence was quickly disturbed, the grey male introducing himself as Lucifer. Paris nodded, ready to speak once again before Chasen stepped in. "I'd gladly hunt the fawn with you, Peri," came his cheerful tone, which was accompanied by a bump on the shoulder and a light swish of his tail on her leg. What the hell was that for? With no realization that this was a flirtatious gesture, Peri slowly lifted her hind leg of which his tail brushed before setting it down on the ground again, a few inches away from its original position. This was not the time to screw around, whatever he was doing. Little did the male know, 'love' or 'affection' were both terms hardly known in her vocabulary. The only wolf she cared for was her father, like any wolf would their parents. The concept of how she was made was understandable, but she never thought anything of it. Peri cast a questioning gaze toward the male as discreetly as she could, had he looked over, before dismissing the moment. It was unimportant, and surely the male would stop acting so playful once the hunt started.
Again, Peri shook her head toward Chasen's suggestion. "No, I want to help Theodosia take down the fawn. It's something a little easier and it's less likely it will get away. Chasen, Lucifer, and Callie, you three can take down the mom. It will be up to you three to come up with an adequate plan as to how you will go about hunting the doe. If there are no objections... I would like to get moving before the pair are too far away." she stated, leaving some time for speech in case anyone had anything to say. Last to state her name was the she-wolf by the name of Callie, rather simplistic.

Theodosia "The Doll Was Perfect, A Dress Of Silk And Lace, Skin Of Blushing Porcelain And Eyes Of Jade Glass."
Theo's heart dropped in her chest as she saw the sympathetic gaze cross the wolf-dog's face, her slowly shaking head giving her a clear answer. "I'm afraid it would be more efficient if we caught more than enough food for all of us. I'm not worried about rusty hunting skills. We all have to learn somewhere," The coy-wolf's heart thumped rapidly while encased still in her chest. "I..." She told herself to answer calmly but her voice dropped to just above a trembling whisper as she tried and failed to meet Paris's smile. "I- Of course." She swallowed and wished she was back in her den, alone and safe, surrounded by the musty scents of herbs and eating a mouse or vole or something. But she wasn't. Theodosia forced herself to pressa smile on to her coyote-like face, this time a bit more real. Unfortunately, her quivering smile only made her look even more terrified. "I'll do my best." Her voice rose so she could at least be heard by the beautiful wolf-dog. She trusted the female a little more than she did the rest, as she was creature so similar to herself and yet not at all the same. Theo assumed they suffered from the same anxieties and worries, the same social troubles. But she didn't expect them to be best friends, she only hoped they could be something of acquaintances.
The coy-wolf turned back to the others, heart thumping as a lump in her throat. It would be fine though. She had warned them of her skill level. She had the hunting skills of any coyote because she was not all wolf and it was impossible to mistake her for one, as shown by her previous encounters with wolves. Turning to the two newest wolves, she cast a smile their way. She had overheard both of their names, Lucifer and Callie. One name seemed out of place. If she remembered correctly, Lucifer was the name of a nightmarish creature which matched his appearance well but she had the feeling that he was a sweety under that harsh exterior. Theo made it her job to find that kinder, more open side.
"I'd gladly hunt the fawn with you, Peri," The coy-wolf, slightly flustered with confusion and rushed words, turned to the sound of clear admiration in Chasen's voice like she had had when speaking to Paris, though his was... different. Flirty, flattering. It seemed both males were caught within Paris's enchanting appearance though she seemed neither interested or amused in their whims. Theo sighed inwardly. She would be happy to have a male flirting with her, making her blush and giggle. But Paris was not her and yet she had a certain spell around her that made others admire and flatter her.
"No," Theo's cherry pink gaze shot up as her head leveled. She had forgotten about the conversation. "I want to help Theodosia take down the fawn. It's something a little easier and it's less likely it will get away." The coy-wolf sighed happily, a smile crawly on her lips. She glanced up and shot Paris a glance which silently thanked her. "Chasen, Lucifer, and Callie, you three can take down the mom. It will be up to you three to come up with an adequate plan as to how you will go about hunting the doe. If there are no objections... I would like to get moving before the pair are too far away." That all sounded acceptable to her as long as... "Miss Paris, would you mind taking the killing blow? I could herd the little fawn, I'm kind of agile and fast, but I'm too small and-" Choose your words wisely. "Well, powerless to kill it. It'd be much better if you took the kill." Theo knew that she would be just barely able to reach and even if she could she didn't have the power or the mental set to kill a poor little dear. She just wouldn't be able too.

Lucifer could not help but watch the body language expressed and exchanged between the two ‘leaders’ of the group. It was nothing alike what he had seen with Beau and Streak. His previous friends were rather full of smiles and blushes, rather than this strict divide, though of course, the greyish male could be simply trying to coax the female into such a relationship.
Though it didn’t seem to be working.
The male released a sigh in relief upon hearing Paris’s words. Though he’d rather not work alongside the male it seemed a fair decision made. A slow silent nod given in acceptance of the task, his own nose dipping to earth as mouthful of smell dusted his nose. It would not be too much of a trek indeed, but as Paris inclined, they should hurry. Lifting his head after the coy-wolf made her suggestion to female he chose to speak. “I think we all know it would be natural for the mother to be rather protective of the fawn, but if we use the terrine to our advantage we can separate them without any injuries.” As much as they would be two separate teams, the initial phase of the hunt would require all of them to work together. The bond between a mother and its young was a bond stronger than anything known to wolf. Sadly Lucifer experienced none of such.

"No," she began. Well, it was worth a try. He'll get her next time. "I want to help Theodosia take down the fawn. It's something a little easier and it's less likely it will get away. Chasen, Lucifer, and Callie, you three can take down the mom. It will be up to you three to come up with an adequate plan as to how you will go about hunting the doe. If there are no objections... I would like to get moving before the pair are too far away." The rest of her words were reasonable. With a respectful dip of his head, Chasen moved towards the two newest wolves in their... pack? Group? Group.
“I think we all know it would be natural for the mother to be rather protective of the fawn, but if we use the terrain to our advantage we can separate them without any injuries.” The male, Lucifer he believed, spoke. True that was, but it wasn't exactly a plan. More of an observation. The silver male winked his eyes back and forth as he thought. He needed a plan, and he needed to make it sound smart enough to gain respect from these wolves. If he just looked like a flirty ditz, it would not be the best situation. "If we split into a pair and a solo wolf, we can surround the doe. We could drive her back towards the deeper mud that Paris and I encountered previously. That would slow her down and allow us to get a quicker kill," Chasen suggested to the team. It wasn't very specific, but a skeleton was better than a ghost when it came to hunting plans.

Callie's attention shifted to the wolf-dog whom then explained who was helping who during the hunt. To her disappointment Callie had been placed with the two males. Oh how great, she didn't mind the darker brute since he seemed more eyes and ears and less chat than the lighter male who was way too flirtatious and careless for her liking. Callie's attention quickly turned back to the coy-wolf once she heard a shaky voice stuttering. She refrained from rolling her eyes and quietly sat there listening to the poor thing stumble over her words. Once Paris finished grouping them, not too long after the darker male spoke once again, explaining how the mother would be protective over the fawn, blah blah blah thank you mister obvious. However when the lighter male spoke and said something actually helpful that surprised her slightly. "Well what are we waiting for ?, lets go" She said look at the lighter toned male " Lead the way" Callie said in case he hadn't gotten the message of her previous sentence, this is going to be interesting.

Towards Theo's smile Paris felt accomplished, making the coywolf a bit less stressed yet still including her in the activity. Theodosia then asked of her to take the killing blow, and she would simply nod in agreement. She was hunting something quick but helpless, far too easy of prey, so the most fun she could have is killing it off. Still, something seemed off about the half-wolf, as if she didn't want to kill the fawn for some other reason. It was meat, and wolves ate meat. Paris saw nothing depressing in taking out what had found itself in the wrong position for her own nutrition. The thought was quickly shrugged off, as her stomach reminded her that she was hungry and the deer were only going to travel farther away. Before she could move a muscle, though, Lucifer's voice found it's way through the silence, a voice of which she had only heard once. Was he shy? Surely not, otherwise his entrance would have been uncertain. No, the male had an odd anti-social persona similar to hers, but to her she had the feeling that there was much more to the wolf than what she could depict. The brute merely made the comment that the doe would be protective of their fawn so they would have to strategize based on the terrain. "Duly noted," she would say curtly, nodding her head slightly before forcing her limbs to move her forward. No more talking.
Paris left Chasen to begin speaking in regards to their plan, something of which she had little interest in considering she had her own hunt to deal with. The hybrid simply trusted that the three would get the job done with little to no error and no injuries. After all, they were all purebred wolves and surely they had to know more than her on hunting. Peri flicked her curly tail in gesture towards Theo to follow. Her little legs would probably cause her to have to keep up at an awkward trot, but Paris wanted to hurry and find the pair. "We will have to be mindful of where the mother is and if her attention is directed towards us. I don't want anyone getting hurt because someone wasn't paying attention. Now, the fawn is older and likely to run just as fast as an adult deer, but not likely to be as smart." she began in a soft voice like silk, keeping her voice low as she traveled over an invisible scent trail. "We will wait until Chasen and the others go after the doe, while the fawn will likely run in a direction opposite of where they will direct its mother. That's where you will come in and simply run it away from its mom even further. That's an easy job, just scaring the fawn away towards me," she continued, offering a small friendly smile towards Theo. "I'll take a blow at its neck right as it comes near, but if I can't get it to go down quickly I'll need your help to put it off balance. Any prey that finds itself on the ground has the high potential to become dinner." the words flowed from her maw fluently, reciting some of what her father taught her as she was learning to hunt. As the scent trail became stronger, Paris would finally slow her speed, sure to stay quiet and mindful of where she stepped, considering it was fall and there were hundreds of alarms on the ground by the name of leaves.

Theodosia "The Doll Was Perfect, A Dress Of Silk And Lace, Skin Of Blushing Porcelain And Eyes Of Jade Glass."
The coy-wolf found an odd sort of comfort in the swift nod given in her direction. Thank goodness she wouldn't have to do that. Just imagine the injuries one could receive! Broken limbs, broken ribs and collar bones, punctured lungs, concussions, loss of sight, fractured spines, broken jaw bone, broken teeth, broken neck, the list went on and on. And worse, the majority of injuries that flew through Theodosia's mind in the moment could all lead to death in some way or another. But Paris was a larger, stronger, quickly registering, relatively agile creature and Theo tried to place her trust in the stoic wolf-dog. But somewhere in the part of her mind that she was trying to quiet, a little alarm was going off as it tried to warn her of the injuries her new friend could receive.
“I think we all know it would be natural for the mother to be rather protective of the fawn, but if we use the terrain to our advantage we can separate them without any injuries.” Theo snapped her cherry blossom pink eyes to his with a single sharp movement that came from her nervous energy. Immediately, her gaze softened to an almost apologetic expression as she registered what he had said. "But with all these trees one of you might trip-" The fluffy little hybrid stopped herself mid sentence, reminding herself that these were grown wolves and they had probably already thought of the dangers this territory provided. "Duly noted," Theo glanced toward the wolf-dog who seemed so relaxed with the whole situation, so perfect in her position as the leader which was something Theodosia found herself admiring again.
Chasen began speaking to the two other wolves, Callie and Lucifer and Theo crept a step closer to listen but was interrupted by the commanding gesture to follow given by her hunting partner. With a worried glance back at the trio, the coy-wolf broke into her coyote-like lope to catch up with Paris. The female's strides were much larger than her own which didn't surprise Theo much. She had gotten used to taking quick, small steps to be able to keep pace with the larger Lupines she encountered and it didn't bother her at all. She was built for stamina and speed.
"We will have to be mindful of where the mother is and if her attention is directed towards us. I don't want anyone getting hurt because someone wasn't paying attention. Now, the fawn is older and likely to run just as fast as an adult deer, but not likely to be as smart. We will wait until Chasen and the others go after the doe, while the fawn will likely run in a direction opposite of where they will direct its mother. That's where you will come in and simply run it away from its mom even further. That's an easy job, just scaring the fawn away towards me," Theo's heart skipped a beat when Paris said this and nervously glanced toward her only to be met with a friendly and reassuring smile. "I'll take a blow at its neck right as it comes near, but if I can't get it to go down quickly I'll need your help to put it off balance. Any prey that finds itself on the ground has the high potential to become dinner." Theo gave a slight nod, showing that she had understood the female. "O-okay." The coy-wolf bit her lip to keep it from quivering some as she slowed beside her hunting partner, trained eyes watching and waiting for any sign of the trio or the deer. Although she did have a question about how she, a little tiny creature, would get a deer off balance but she stayed silent. The time for questions seemed to have passed and now it looked like the hunt would be on soon. As she tried to calm her giddy nerves, Theo whispered a hushed prayer that everyone would make it out okay and that she wouldn't mess anything up. It was all she could do.

No one really noticed his point made. It was normal. Being ignored seemed of the norm to Luci. His nonchalant expression unchanging even as the wolf-dog sought to utter a response. Whether she did so to save him from the embarrassment or simple ought to get this moving he was thankful, even if it didn’t make much of a difference. Instead his head swiveled to face the second male among the group, making a suggestion that was far better. The brute would then nod his head at the words of Callie who commanded for Chasen to lead the way. Once the group would get moving Lucifer would trot on, with his rather large form he remained at the back, head low as he followed, a single glance thrown to the pair of hybrids as they departed before looking back ahead to his main group members.
OOC: My bad guys, this isn't my best.

His words hung in the muggy air for a few moments. "Well what are we waiting for? Let's go. Lead the way," Callie's tone seemed to be a mixture of boredom and annoyance. She seemed to be a no-nonsense kind of she-wolf, but at the same time, not a wolf that acts as if there's a stick up their butt all the time. Even so, she intrigued and frankly, confused Chasen. He assumed that she had a sweet side inside her somewhere, because all he had seen of her had been a sarcastic, impatient female with business on the mind. For the male, he seemed okay for the time being. He was large, strong no doubt. He would be great at taking down the doe. Chasen didn't pride himself too much on his muscles, admittedly, he was more of an agile male. Though if any other wolf decided that he was a pansy, he would be sure to show them up, especially if there were female's present.
Back to the task at paw! With a nod to Callie, and a quick farewell to Peri and Theodosia, Chasen began to stalk through the mud. He tried to keep his toes splayed out as far as possible to reduce the amount of sound as he walked. With his toes together as a normal paw, the mud would get trapped between his toes and be both uncomfortable and noisy as he tried to remove his foot from the suction created by the mud. With his paws spread out over the mud, the amount of pressure on each paw was reduced. This made him sink in less and the amount of suction on his paws less, and therefore he was able to walk quieter. Despite having a flirtatious outwards personality, Chasen was actually quite intelligent.. He simply chose not to show that part of himself, as he found that most females went on appearance rather than brains. He had an inkling that Peri might be different though. She seemed to only put up with him because he was able to talk his way into her head. Perhaps intellect was what he could catch the magnificent wolf-dog's eye with.
His shook his head. He was distracted, again! For now, he needed to focus on the hunt, and not his romantic prey. The silver male scented the air, trying to see how close the doe and her fawn were with scent primarily. Their scent had gotten much stronger, alerting the male that they had drawn close enough to solidify the specifics of the plan. His murky frame ducked behind a clump of low lying shrubs, beckoning for the two other wolves to follow. Once Callie and Lucifer were under the cover with him, Chasen whispered, "Okay, I'll break off and go around the other side of the doe. The thick mud is over there," Chasen swung his muzzle to the left, "Once she's moving, we'll all chase after her until the mud is thick enough to slow her down. Keep your toes splayed to stop from sinking in yourself. Once she's in the mud, I suggest going for the neck. I don't mind who gets the killing blow, as long as we get some dinner!"
He gave his two counterparts a quick grin and a sharp nod before he crept away from the shrubs. As the wind buffeted his pelt, Chasen adjusted his course so the wind hit him dead on. The last thing he needed was for the wind to carry his scent down to the doe and for the pair of walking meals to bolt before they could get to them. The trees in the Muddy Pines created quite a dense environment, one with only a slight breeze to disturb the air around him. This was both a blessing and a curse. The air kept scents, for the most part, concentrated around the being of origin, which was good news for his scent, as the deer would have a harder time spotting him. It was also bad news, as the scent of the deer dissipated slowly within the pines. Thankfully, with his sensitive nasals, he had been able to pick up on their scent beyond the mud and trees before the parties had even begun moving.
As he rounded the pair of deer from a safe distance, he scented the air again, this time looking past mud, trees, and deer scent. He was searched for Peri of Theo's scent. That would mean that they were set up to hunt, and ready to go when he drove the mother away. Until he could scent them, he stayed still, concealed behind the large trunks of the never-ending trees. When one or both of their scents triggered his nasals, he began the hunt. With a loud bark, his frame shot out from behind the trees, aimed directly at the mother deer. The pair of ungulates bleated in panic, and momentarily danced on the tips of their pointed toes, looking for the fastest escape route. Chasen quickly took that opportunity to move closer to the doe, snapping at her heels. With little to no hesitation, she bolted towards Callie and Lucifer. The fawn's distressed bleats grew distant as they drove the doe towards the mud. Now was when they truly had to work together. They had to synchronize is if they had known each other for years rather than just minutes in order to bring the doe down in the safest manner. He could only hope that they did.
