Akai had slowed first from a trot to a walk, and then she had stopped moving entirely. She sat with her head to the sky, eyes closed, breathing in the scents around her. She wasn't very good at detecting scents, but something seemed... familiar. She opened her eyes and looked around, unable to pin down what the scent was. She cocked her head to the side, then stood and shook out her fur. She always got frustrated when she couldn't figure something out, which seemed to happen a lot. A lot more than she'd like. She decided to investigate, and padded cautiously in the direction of the familiar scent. Hearing voices, she stopped, and crouched low in a shrub. A short ways off there seemed to be a den of sorts. The scent she had smelt was the same scent her own den had smelt of. Warmth, mothers milk, comfort.. she felt a longing whimper in her throat but she kept quiet. The young wolf watched with interest as a few wolves exited the den, bringing pups out along with them. She longed to run out and join them, maybe they would take her in. But then again, maybe not. She knew she wouldn't find the bravery to confront them, so she stayed hidden in her shrub.

Callie's ears flicked as she heard movement behind her, when she quickly glanced in the direction of the deer to find the darker nearly mute male sitting on the deer she held back a chuckle, well this is quite amusing. She was definitely amused but soon her attention was once again capture by the newcomer and her ever shifting personality. Callie rolled her eyes becoming annoyed with the she-wolf. To her relief she saw the coy-wolf and wolf-dog headed their way with Chasen. Soon Callie noticed how Paris seemed to be injured and how the fawn was missing, then she noticed how the coy-wolf was muttering to herself and Chasen was swarming them. Oh goody, an injured wolf, just what we need.
However Callie was pleased when she noted how Paris didn't seem to appreciate the newcomers attitude either, perhaps they're not as bad as i thought. She was slightly annoyed with the other female, shrinking behind the light furred wolf-dog. Callie's attention went back to "Issoka", She padded forward and kept a rigid stance standing by Paris as she told the newcomer that she should lose the attitude if she wanted to stay longer than the introductions. Callie kept a neutral expression as her eyes scanned Issoka once more before shifting to the other newcomer, finally Callie turned to Paris waiting for some sort of command to be given or someone to say something. For a second Callie glanced at the coy-wolf who looked so frightened she looked like she was close to having a heart attack. Callie was tempted to snap at her and tell her to be braver and stop hiding but she simply turned her gaze back to Paris.

Kebechet weaves around the towering pines, pawsteps light and quick; it had been a while since she had been in this area of the woods. Leaves crunch beneath her paws; luckily she wasn’t trying to hide her movement, since despite the majority of the trees being pine, somehow there was always something to announce her presence underfoot. Autumn did have a bright side however; with the leaves turning to reds and golds her pelt didn’t seem so...loud, at least not like it did when she was trying to be stealthy in, say, Winter.
Call her crazy, but snow just wasn’t the best cover for a red pelt.
Raising her narrow muzzle, the lupess inhales deeply through her nose. She was young, so it took her some time to shuffle the scents out in her brain and sort them, but she can still pick up on the basics: pine, obvious, along with a jumble of wolves, both fresh and stale, the scent of deer…
Wait, deer?
She can feel herself salivate, tail beginning to wag unconsciously as she follows the tantalizing scent. It had been so long since she tasted deer or any large game really, she had to have only been six months old...rabbits and mice were all well and good but oh how she missed-
Ah, hold on.
She may be but a year old, but she wasn’t stupid. The fresh scent of wolf was nearly overpowering when she got close, and to expect them to share with her, who hadn’t lifted a paw to take it down, was ludicrous. There were kind wolves, yes, but this seemed like a sizable group, and it was only natural to put companions before strangers. She could understand this. Even so, she was completely curious; the yearling loved meeting new wolves, and even if she didn’t get to eat...it would be nice to have a group of friends, even if it only lasted a little while. Emerging from the underbrush, the tiny wolf takes a moment to assess the situation.
There seemed to be a sort of...confrontation going on? A cream and black colored wolf was posturing in a dominant way, at least, and definitely wasn’t being shy about whose eyes met whose. There was a male and female standing directly in front of her; maybe an...alpha couple? Did rogue groups have alphas? At the very least, they seemed to be in charge. Next to them was another brown wolf - a female, she was sure. The tension seemed thick in the air, and a small, near unnoticeable whine escapes her throat - leftover instinct from when she was a pup a mere month or so ago. Her tail droops, and she wants to crawl forward and lick at the pair’s muzzles to show affectionate obedience...but, of course, she doesn’t. That’s what a pup would do, and she was approaching her teenage years now. She couldn’t get away with being that submissive without seeming weak. But how could she approach without making tensions worse?
Her attention is mainly on the dominant pair, but out of the corner of her eye she can see other wolves scattered about, either guarding the deer or watching the scene - or tending to wounds, she notices with a sympathetic wince. Taking a deep, steadying breath, she bounces forward, a quirky smile on her face and tail wagging jovially. She should just be herself. If they sent her off, then they sent her off, but she didn’t want to fake some mature, serious attitude just to gain favor. Stopping at the cream and black wolf’s side (and if she put herself juuust barely between the two she-wolves, in such a way that seemed accidental, who could blame her?) she drops her torso into a bow - submissive, but playful, her tail waving like a banner declaring her good mood. She found that most weren’t willing to attack one as young as her, so she hopes and prays that this would dissuade the two from fighting, and that she herself wouldn’t be punished for interrupting such a tense scene. “Hello!” She keeps her head down but glances up at the female in charge, warm hazel eyes darting to the left every few moments to avoid eye contact. “I’d ah, love some company, and you have quite the group...could I stick around? If you don’t mind?” Her smiles grows a bit. “I’m Kebechet, but you can call me Chet, if you’d like.”
Now that she was close, this white and brown wolf seemed determined to confuse her nose without even trying. She smelled of wolf, yes, but of something else as well...having never encountered dog in her life before, Chet could not quite place it. But honestly, if she was leading a pack, then clearly she was wolf at heart - and in action. If the she-wolf were to look down at her, Kebechet’s brain would uselessly supply the word pretty, as she’d never seen such a pale blue shade in any other creature’s eyes, wolf or otherwise.

In an instant Valentino was up, steadily moving toward herself and the pups. The adolescent jumped slightly, not quite ready for him to be so close to her young considering she seemed to hardly know him after being gone so long. Still, Khloie reminded herself of the danger before them, and surely the lupine could not carry both her pups. Forcing one to walk sounded dreadful to her, as if she were favoring one pup over the other. As she pulled her first darkly colored son out, Val immediately hovered over him, looking to her for permission to pick him up. Worry stung in her eyes, but she had to trust Valentino. Before the male took hold of her sons scruff, the adolescent mom was sure to give Simon an affectionate lick on his head before turning to Azrath who seemed to be complaining about the smell. The fact that the month old pups had to cope with this was terrible, but at least they were gaining some future experience. One day if they found themselves at the mercy of a forest fire, she liked to think that now they would be prepared. Khloie gently picked up her white pup once again, silently listening as Valentino mentioned keeping their heads low. Meanwhile, her eyes fearfully drew towards the nearing fire, watching as twicks cracked beneath the flames heat and leaves withered away into nothingness. Eventually this whole area would be covered in ash, and they would not be returning. Ducking her head, the lupine let her legs take her away, taking care to keep Azraths figure away from anything that might bump him suddenly. Over a mouthful of fur, Khloie would mumble a soft 'you're doing great', intent on keeping her more sentimental pup at ease. The scenery around her seemed to move so quickly, blue and white orbs concentrated on finding a break in the trees to water. To their luck, the area they lived in was full of resources, and it was far from likely that they would still be searching for more than thirty minutes. THe issues was: how many others would be flocking as well? Khloie found herself tensing up just at the thought of sharing a lake with other wolves that could easily chase them away if they didn't want to share. Val wouldn't be able to hold them off with his wounds already, which put him at risk for death, and she was far to small, weak, and inexperienced to fend off her species. Breaking through the outer ring of trees, Khloie was brought upon a small hazy lake, practically vacant besides few other animals like rabbits and the rare deer that seemed to shyly back away at the sight of the wolves. As she moved closer, it was somewhat amusing to watch their normal prey scattering away to the other side of the lake, not so much of a comfortable distance away, although it wasn't like they had the choice. Others left completely, probably in search of somewhere without predators. The adolescent she-wolf gently placed her pup upon the muddy shoreline, water lapping at his and her paws. Above them, the sky was no more, only a large swirling cloud of stinging darkness. Ash lightly sprinkled down toward them, although the fire was still a distance away. It was like a horrible nightmare one might have, being confined to the edged of the water like prisoners to the fire. The lush greenery was being stripped away so suddenly, and in a week, a month, hopefully not a few, there would be nothing but a dusty white floor of ash that bordered charcoal stumps of trees and covered all that had died. Would they have to wait through that? Would they even get the opportunity to leave this lake? " Val, what if we have to stay her for a while.. That fire has miles upon miles of forest for fuel, and we will be risking our lives traveling elsewhere." her worried gaze traveled towards her not-so-familiar companion for a moment. " W-what about food... our source is literally limited to what's close to this lake." Khloie nervously shook her head, anxiously considering all the hindrances they would have to face. This would be their home, and with no rain, the fire would go on for months. It would spread across all they knew, including the pack lands, and everyone would suffer. There was no way to make a den out of the mud around the lake, nor were they fish that could live within the water. Their whole family would be stuck sleeping warm nights exposed to any that cared to venture here, and.. Khloie froze for a moment, wide eyed stare glaring at the hazy forest. No herbs. It would all be wiped away. In an instant the young wolf was moving, only pausing momentarily to address her partner. " Valentino, I need you to stay here with my pups." Her gaze was serious, almost angry again she she took a step closer to the brute. " Protect them," or you will die, her eyes said silently, though she chose not to voice that with the youngsters listening. As she turned once again, Khloie got moving towards the forest way from the fire. " I'm gathering herbs before they're gone." she would call before disappearing into the trees. Trust was all she could give, and she hung on her trust of Val desperately. He was already in a terrible state, and if any of them got hurt in the time the fire threatened them, which would be a long time, they would literally die due to exposure, and what was scarier, there would be nothing Khloie could do to prevent deaths besides sit and watch them die.

Hirsch padded as lightly as she could through the trees, her toes spread wide, but caked in mud all the same. This forest was full of new scents, but Hirsch was interested in only one. She kept her head low, sniffing for a good lead she could follow. Eventually, she found it. There was a small herd ahead, towards the east. She turned back to motion to her companion. She was sure the white bodied female had smelled them too. Excitement began to fill her. This mud was a perfect trap for their prey, all they had to do was force the deer into the thick of it. Her stomach grumbled, she hadn't eaten in days, and the occasional rabbit while on her journey certainly couldn't come close to a belly full of deer. She quickened her step, determined to find this small herd.
Soon, she slowed, nearly to a stop. New smells. Two injuries, in slightly different directions. One....one smelled like a wolf. She pondered harder. Yeah...that was a wolf's blood she could smell faintly in the air. There was a large clump of wolves towards the north, two males and a mess of females. The dark she-wolf's heart pounded, did she and Iris finally find a pack? She broke herself of her daydreaming to identify the other injured being. A deer, bleeding not too far from here. She had a feeling the other pack had something to do with it, but....they certainly didn't seem to be pursuing. "You smell that? There's an injured youngster up ahead." Hirsch had turned her attention back on her snowy pelted compatriot. A fawn, especially an injured one, could be an easy meal.
"There's other wolves, as well. Quite a few. I'd like to visit them, and I'm hoping you'd like to come along as well." Hirsch desired companionship, especially that of a pack, but she wasn't willing to lose her new, shy friend. She was nervous that Iris would leave if she ventured to greet the others. Iris deserved a family too, but she had no clue if Iris even wanted one. "If they're friendly, we might be able to join. If they're not, we can continue on our own again. How's that sound to you?" She remained as neutral as possible, preparing herself for either response. She continued forward, focusing her mind on the fawn, dampening her hopes of joining the pack. She breathed deeply, she needed to be prepared to move on, to accept a no from either Iris or the group.
The panicked fawn's scent grew heavy, and Hirsch knew she'd found him. She stayed low, remaining hidden, and observed him. He was bleeding from his flank, but seemed healthy, a slight limp was his only impediment. He seemed terrified, and more than a little confused. Maybe he was without a mother? That might explain the other wolves' presence here. The poor thing was moving towards the area that Hirsch had smelled the other herd. He was desperate for safety. Too bad that he had escaped the jaws of one wolf, only to be tracked by two more. The mud was thicker towards the west, away from the herd. Maybe the two females could chase him and guide him towards it. He was already alone, injured, and inexperienced, blocking him from safety and pushing him into a muddy trap would be pitifully easy. "If you cut him off to the east, you could flush him towards me, I can intercept him from the south, and we can push him towards the mud. Once he's slowed down, you could easily take him down."
Hirsch trusted Iris with the plan, and waited for their fun to begin.

Simon had been sleeping peacefully, rest barely interrupted by the various happenings of those around him - his mother leaving their makeshift den, his brother cozying up to him in her absence. His ears barely even twitch when he hears an unknown male is heard, but what does encourage him to his paws is the sound of his mother growling. He had never heard her angry before, and it is with slightly widened eyes that he passes his brother and pokes his head out into the open, eyes picking up on the familiar shape of Khloie and the blurry figure of the unknown wolf - blurry, as his eyes were still bleary from sleep. Nose wrinkling, he buries his head in overly large paws as the air begins to sting. Everything smelled painful! He inches backwards into the den in the hopes that it would smell better inside, but before he can duck under cover completely, his mother's large head drags him back out of the den. "Sorry for the rush boys but I need you to two to go on a bit of an adventure with mommy... and Valentino." What?? Simon was all for an adventure, but it was odd...mom usually didn't like when Simon tried to go on adventures. And also, Valentines? Vol? Who was this wolf?? Mother seemed calm, so he tries to suppress the feeling of something being wrong wrong wrong, but the little black pup had never been one to ignore his instincts, developing as they were. His heart begins to pound as... Valentino, that was his name, stands over him, crouching down close to the forest floor and lips trembling slightly as they pull back from tiny fangs. He would never admit it, but this wolf was intimidating as all hell - he was so much bigger than Simon! His jaws part in a wordless cry of alarm as Valentino's much bigger jaws descend towards him, but to his indignation it is to pick him up by the scruff. At first, he squirms and struggles - to no avail - but soon calms as his gaze meets his brother's. Azrath wasn't panicking, and his mother didn't seem concerned, so...he probably looked a bit like a fool, making such a scene. Jaw clenching, he is stubbornly still for the rest of the trip, at least until they get to the lake. "Put me down!" He snaps out. If Valentino were to place him on the ground, he would quickly stutter-hop away from the chilly water, shaking the droplets off of his paws. If Valentino were to keep him in his jaws, his struggles would return tenfold, the pitch colored pup wriggling and squirming once more until finally set down. "Valentino, I need you to stay here with my pups." Mother's words make him freeze, glancing between her and Valentino warily. She was leaving them with this stranger? This time, though, he wasn't going to be the one to panic. Lifting his chin as his mother disappears into the trees, he trots over to Azrath and plops down into a sitting position between the white pup and Valentino, squinting at him defiantly for a moment before staring after where mom had been engulfed in the treeline. He wanted to follow after her, question her about what the heck was going on, but he also didn't wanna leave his brother here alone with the big wolf. He may be annoying sometimes, but he didn't want to leave him if there was danger. He huffs, alternating between longing glances at the trees and suspicious glances at the older male.

Valentino couldn't help but let a sigh of relief at Khloie's words. He would be helping her and her pups escape the flames. The warning and worry that practically oozed from her eyes had Valentino still, an immediate weight of responsibility came crashing across his shoulders. Not only was his goal to gain her trust back, but the maternal look she gave him had him spreading a paternal protectiveness over the pups. Of course, he already cared for them, but the way Khloie had looked at him made Valentino feel that these pups lifes were life or death for him. Which he could understand, but this also made him feel awkward suspending the annoyed pup within his jaws. The little thing held so much power over Valentino now, same with the white ball of fluff that hung from Khloie's maw.
Flickering ears had the group leading to the watering hole. Across the lake was the vast majority of prey, which would be to dangerous to even think about trying to kill. All of them were backed into a corner, so for the mean time, they would all have to share the same space peacefully. He knew all to well how peaceful some of the critters could be. Not only was the prey across the way, but also steep, slopping banks that could cause an injury if someone wasn't too careful. For example, Valentino himself. That was how he reopened his injury, stumbling down those banks and passing out. It took him a few days to be able to carry himself back up the steep, muddy sides. He is surprised he didn't get sick from being half wet in freezing water most of the time. Perhaps he had a guardian angel looking out for him.
Memories slowly faded as reality sunk in. A thrashing pup in his mouth had him slowly putting the black spit-fire down on the ground, eyes returning to Khloie's. Mixtures of both pain and worry would be able to be seen in his pools of green. Her next words though had him nearly grabbing her by the scruff to keep her here, but she was already gone. The only reason he could think of her leaving was herbs. Of course she would want to get as many as she could before the fire hit them, but still, he worried for her safety as anyone with a crush would.
Looking to the pups, he could see the mistrust and worry written on their faces. "Lets do proper introductions, shall we?" he asked, moving to lay down so he was on eye level with them. He didn't get to close but kept his body between them and the forest. "I'm Valentino," he started, giving a friendly and gentle smile, "I was there when you guys were born, you two have grown so much." He tried to keep in cooing or parental tones from his voice. The already annoyed Simon would probably take negatively to those tones, and he was already eyeing the forest behind Valentino. Probably worried for his mother was what Val chalked the look to be.

As he walked back with Peri, he heard the she-wolf that had approached before say, “My name is Issoka, you are?” It seemed innocent enough, but Paris didn't seem to think so. "If you want to stay here longer than introductions, I suggest you lose the attitude," her anger towards the she-wolf seemed odd to him, but he would support her in it. The cream she-wolf had seemed a little off in with her emotions, a little scattered.
"Ah--you'll have to forgive the intrusion. I am a vagabond, simply gathering herbs. I'll be on my way--peacefully--but after such a hunt, will any of you be needing any sort of healing? I've managed to scrounge up some gumweed and a bit of arnica. Consider it a peace offering, if you will?" another female approached. Chasen flashed her a smile, but Theo seemed to have her under control. He knew nothing about herbs, and her stuttered answer seemed to have a whole bunch of herbs in it. She could talk about it with the she-wolf. For now, the herb-ish she-wolf wasn't the top priority. Issoka was Peri's main concern, and so was his.
“I’d ah, love some company, and you have quite the group...could I stick around? If you don’t mind? I’m Kebechet, but you can call me Chet, if you’d like,” a bouncy she-wolf hopped into the scene. Now this he could get along with! Someone happy, peppy, someone that could break the tension. He gave Chet a bright smile and a wag of his tail, hoping to talk to her after the whole Issoka situation was sorted out. Speaking of which, a small growl tore his chocolate gave away from the newbie. It came from Issoka, but she seemed to be stuck in her thoughts again. When she tuned back in, she seemed annoyed, with herself possibly? Odd. His gaze moved away from the she-wolf, back onto Peri, but the shaded figure of Lucifer caught his attention. He was sitting on the deer! Ewwww! Note to self, do not eat the part of the deer that was under Lucifer's butt. With that in mind, he turned back to Peri. "What do you want to do, Peri? I'll support what you choose, he murmured, keeping his words quiet so only she could hear. It wasn't anything that any of the other wolves needed to hear.

I R I S
"The soul that sees beauty may sometimes walk alone."
Iris eventually caught up to her fast friend Hirsch. She had gotten a little side tracked when entering the woods - smells varied from dead carcass', to mud, to lively flocks of birds. Not to mention the actual scenery itself, which was captivating on it's own. Although, the mud was just as she expected - very inconvenient. Her clean white paws were no longer pure, tainted with the sludge beneath her. She had to bend and lift her legs a little more than usual to get through it, as it became very sticky very quickly. However, what caught her attention was the main reason she was in here with Hirsch in the first place - deer. She could smell at least a few just a little bit ahead. She noticed Hirsch look back at her, assuming she smelled it as well.
The female stopped when another smell flooded her nose. Wolves. More than one, too. It set off her hunting determination, growing a little weary and nervous. Not only was it wolves, but, wolf blood as well. There were many different ways to interpret that smell. It could mean an injury among a group, or a kill of a rogue in their territory. However, she wasn't in marked pack territory - at least she hoped not. Assuming the worse, she put herself on high alert, just in case. After all, it would be quite the situation if it were to be a violent group who stumbled upon the two young females.
"You smell that? There's an injured youngster up ahead." Hirsch said. Iris glanced over at her, taking a little sniff before nodding sadly. "Yeah..." This is where Iris ran into problems, y'know, being a predator and all. She always hated killing young. Although it was quite a strategic and common move amongst almost all predatorily species, she always felt guilty about it. And that it was injured too! Gah, she was too soft. Way too soft. Iris tried thinking of it in a better way, though. It smelled like the fawn was injured quite bad, so it was doubtful that it would recover, and properly, matter of fact. So...I suppose the two were only speeding up the process...How cruel that sounded!
Iris tuned in again when her friend spoke once more. "If they're friendly, we might be able to join. If they're not, we can continue on our own again. How's that sound to you?" The female's nerves returned once more. However, Hirsch seemed quite excited at the idea of joining a larger group, and Iris would hate to rain on her parade... "Sounds good." She said quietly. She might regret it, but...she'd rather be mad at herself than have her kind friend feel sad from missing an opportunity.
The fawn's smell of blood was seeming to grow stronger, which meant they were getting closer. Hirsch had offered a set of directions to follow. "If you cut him off to the east, you could flush him towards me, I can intercept him from the south, and we can push him towards the mud. Once he's slowed down, you could easily take him down." Iris winced quietly. "I have to take him down...?" She said reluctantly. If they were going to take down the poor thing, she certainly couldn't be the one to end it. The guilt would eat at her for at least a week. She once killed a baby bunny when the mother had went off, and she was quite upset about it - more than a wolf should. However, the agile female readied herself, anyway, for the awaiting events to unfold.

The muddy Pines were indeed popular today, and it had seemed to Lucifer that their no longer little group were occupying quite a bit of the area, so it had been no surprise when another rogue walked in on the gang. One who appeared a little smarter than the first, but Lucifer had little time to acknowledge her presence and her words as Paris strode in on the scene.
"If you want to stay here longer than introductions, I suggest you lose the attitude."
Words stung, the male almost cringed as Paris addressed the first rogue rather harshly. Then again, the grey female was being rather dominant when approaching five wolves. Foolish he thought. Eyes simply watched as Paris awaited for the other’s reply. But his gaze then darted to Theo, who surprisingly, nicely shot down the newest rogue’s offer of a bunch of herbs he didn’t know about. But finally did he return his attention to the main scene of it all, he was stood by the back of the group, it would seemed he was defending the carcass, but honestly that was the last thing on his mind, for surely they all knew by now Luci wasn’t much of a talker, more like the watcher, the silent attack that they needed if things got out of hand.
Another rogue.
They were clearly on a roll today, if this kept going Lucifer was gonna meet more wolves today than he’d met in his entire life, and god this new was perky. Cute, but perky. But her enthusiasm was alarming. He was curious to see what Paris would act upon next, he did indeed sense from the beginning she had an aura that was born to lead, but he was sort of curious to see the wolf-dog in action.

Issoka snarled at the females words of losing her attitude." I'm not going to 'lose' my attitude." She glanced at the wolves around her and reminded herself once again that these wolves could become her friends. She cleared her throat and spoke. " I'm sorry for the rude intrusion." Issoka awkwardly shifted her paws and looked back up at the female. She then noticed all the other rogues who had began to gather. She wondered if there was some sort of meeting of rogues. Issoka chuckled to herself and shook her head. Rogues don't get together... that's the point of being a rogue! She thought to herself. Issoka was changing moods so fast she was even confusing herself. What is going on with me? She sighed and noticed how she was standing. Instead of staying submissive she had become feminine and alluring. Her ear flicked as a female entered with herbs, she tilted her head but quickly snapped back to the she-wolf in front of her. Issoka licked her chops and glanced down at the deer, she hoped the wolves didn't think she wanted it. That wasn't her motives at all, she cleared her throat and focused back on the female. " Do you all have names?" She asked with a small smile. " If we are to become friends... that might be some valuable information." Her voice was friendly and happier than before. Issoka had decided she would have to be friendly with these wolves to gain their trust. Her golden flecked eyes examined each wolf, she held her gaze on the males for longer but scolded herself for being so needy.

The huge male silently padded through the thinness of the pine trees. It wasn't the most terrible scene in the world yet all the pines had fallen to the ground in rusty brown colours, leaving the trees bare and naked to the icy elements. Indris wasn't fond of winter. The flirty male preferred the warmth of the sun through his mottled coat and the smell of spring through his black leathery nose. This was just dull. And Indris despised dull. He was playful and charismatic, the winter just gave everyone the blues. Amethyst eyes slowly studied his surroundings. The muddiness of the rogue land seemed to freeze with a slight chill, making the grounds more slippery than sticky. Gross.
Large paws carefully maneuvered the brute as to not slip, his pretty colours of ash to cream to caramel and everything in between blending in pretty well with the surroundings. After a while, scents of rogues had hit him. And a lot of them. Now, the male could get along alright with groups, but he tended to cause trouble - even sometimes without meaning to. The musk of females and males had all intertwined and Indris felt like he should probably not mess with a large group. Purple eyes scanned the mass of space infront of him until they indeed settle onto a large band of rogues. Raising an eyebrow in mild curiosity, the male just decided to sit from afar and watch for now.
OOC: feel free to run up to my lil flirty bad-boy lmao

Akai watched for a while as the rogue wolves spoke to each other. She felt a sadness in her as her mind went back to her mother and brother, and their days spend in her birth den. She missed that feeling of companionship, and wondered if they had that in this group with each other, as she had had with her family many moons ago. She let out a quiet breath and backed up quietly out from where she hid in the low shrubbery. Out of her hiding spot she backed up slowly first, walking backwards as she did. Then, feeling nervous she decided to flee, and turned to run only to find herself face to face with a huge rogue male.

Hirsch's grey eyes flashed up to meet her companions. Her plan wasn't going to work well for the smaller female. "I have to take him down...?" Iris' meek response told Hirsch everything she needed to know to proceed. She softened slightly, making a point not to shame Iris. "No, you don't. If you cut off his escape route, I'll flank him. As long as you can help get him on the ground, I can deliver the killing blow." Hirsch pondered more....two wolves would be ideal, but if she could keep up the pace, she could muscle the youngster down on her own. "Actually, if you'd prefer, we'll chase him into the mud, and then I can take him down from there. If you can get teeth on him, that's fantastic, if not, that's alright." Hirsch had no problem preying on the young, they were a significantly easier meal, and one that provided less risk of injury or death.
Now that the plan was set, the dark female nodded to her companion, and positioned herself, ready to burst from the underbrush once the fawn ran past. She hunched low, awaiting the moment Iris began her pursuit, a sort of electricity humming through every muscle in her body. She hadn't hunted like this is so long, it was exhilarating. She was a little thankful that she would be able to attempt the killing bite, as latching onto prey was incredibly fun to her. She knew she couldn't revel in it too much, her companion was much too squeamish for that. Hirsch focused on everything that she could sense nearby, her hearing and smell honed and focused, she couldn't miss this opportunity, she had to give chase at the right moment. Suddenly, she smelled another rogue, a large male, in the distance, not too far. A new excitement bristled within her, but she put it out of her mind. She could hear it now, four paws chasing four panicked hooves.
When the fawn passed near to her, she leapt forward, herding the fawn towards deeper mud. The fawn was already tender with his hind leg, and as the ground gave way to wetter, sloppier footing, the young buck expended more and more energy to propel himself. Hirsch had already been able to keep pace easily, but now the fawn began to slow, his forward motion being a near endless cycle of sticking and unsticking himself from his less than ideal footing. Hirsch paid deadly attention to the way her toes were splayed, taking extreme care not to make a misstep herself. The fawn desperately flicked his hind leg in her direction, attempting to ward her off, but she knew this was her opportunity. He was out of options, stuck in mud, with an injury already slowing him down. She quickened her pace slightly, sprinting for a moment, and lunged for the fawn's throat. The dark female's jaws latched on, and she began to drag the fawn down, using her forward momentum and the fawn's instinct to pull back to her advantage. The young deer kicked and pulled and brayed, and Hirsch darted a look to Iris, letting her companion know that these were good moments to look away or wander off for a moment. Hirsch soon had the fawn on his side, and, upon the moment he breathed his last, she released him.
"Come over now, it's done, I promise." She called to her friend. "We should eat some now, but I think he'd be a suitable peace offering to that group we smelled." Hirsch had been weighing a plan since she first smelled them. "But, again, if that goes sour, it's best to get a full belly now. We shouldn't work this hard only to be sent away hungry." And with that, Hirsch began to tear into their fresh kill. Her hunger had be gnawing in her stomach for a while now, and this fawn's sacrifice was exactly what she needed. Once she and her companion were finished, she scooped the fawn's neck back up in her jaws and nodded, before beginning to drag their catch towards where she had smelled the others.
As she neared the group, Hirsch caught the scent of that large male once more. She would approach him soon, she was too intrigued not too, but this group situation was more pressing. However....now....he wasn't alone? She sniffed harder, now catching the scent of a young pup. This could be even more interesting now. Soon, the females emerged from the trees to see the pack of rogues. A mild panic his Hirsch's heart, she hadn't interacted with any other rogues except for Iris. She released the fawn and surveyed the scene. Two males, a multitude of females, with two of the females clearly not being full wolves. What a bizarre group! A pale, injured female was clearly in charge, despite her injury, and Hirsch decided she was the one to address. "Hello, please don't mind our intrusion," she had taken a slightly submissive posture, doing her best not to offend. "My name is Hirsch, this is Iris. We smelled you a ways away, and figured we should say hello. We just caught this fawn, and figured we should bring gifts." The dark female motioned to their catch, stepping away to indicate it was open to the group. Her mind was racing, she might finally find a group or she could be walking herself and her friend into quite the beating. Either way, her mind kept drifting to that large male and the pup. She'd track them both down eventually, she figured. But for now, she had only one task that she needed to focus, and she was making sure to keep tabs on the wolfdog's body language and responses.

Callie was beginning to get more irritated by the second with all of the different personalities and new bodies flooding in. Perhaps I should leave after we eat , if we even get to that at this rate. She huffed and padded over to the deer and plopped down, by the deer but not too close, her ears remained perked forward but she wasn't in the mood to argue or try and take lead, so she just listened and watched how everyone else handled it, the perkiness and excitement of it all was beyond annoying to Callie but she stayed quiet. Chasens enthusiasm was also overwhelming he seemed to have an extremely positive response to all of the new wolves and Callie couldn't figure out how any wolf would like so many wolves around them. For a second she glanced over at the lucifer who also seemed to just be observing but otherwise he was unreadable, she turned her head back towards the main scene just in time to see Chasens surprised expression, once he noticed that Lucifer was sitting on the deer, Callie chuckled a little. A snarl snapped her attention back towards Paris and the newcomers , Callie growled , but it was soft , more to herself , not really directed at anyone, "who does she think she is ?" Callie muttered,
